I stayed at Barcelo Fes Hotel and was quite disappointed with several aspects of the experience. First, the AC in the room wasnât working, and the heater made the air extremely dry. The room became stuffy, and both nights we woke up multiple times with dry mouths and throats, needing to drink water just to feel comfortable. When we asked the front desk, we were told the ACs are turned off during the winter season, which really affected the comfort of our stay. On the second day, housekeeping forgot to replace our water bottles. When we asked about it, the front desk told us that the hotel only provides bottled water on the first day. This was surprising and felt like unnecessary cost cutting. We also had to call the front desk several times before anyone picked up, which added to the frustration. Overall, it really seemed like the hotel was cutting corners and minimizing basic guest comfort. Based on the positive reviews, I was expecting a much better experience. The one good thing is the location, which is convenient and central. Unfortunately, everything else fell short of expectations.

Cons: La femme au check in une femme blonde pas agrÊable. Check out fait en 30 mn car une seule personne a 8h30 a la rÊception. La jeune fille de du bureau guest n'a pas d effet sur la situation malgrÊ notre plainte. il faut lui donner un rôle Actif et pas juste dire: oui vous avez raison. Papier toilette de très mauvaise qualitÊ. Pas de douchette d'eau dans les toilettes ou autre outil pour palier a ce manque. Payer le parking 40 dh est très moche, et procÊdure compliquÊe de ticket de cachet....trop de cassement de tête pour un parking et trop de personnes pour ce parking. peut être ajouter 20 dh pour toutes les rÊservations et l'histoire est terminÊe et l accès se fait avec la clef de la chambre par exemple. Le matin les chauffages des tables à l extÊrieur Êtaient allumÊs pour rien car il n y avait personne, gâchis d Ênergie et pollution (voir photos). Dommage le lit Êtait 2 lits a une place collÊs alors que la rÊservation Êtais un grand lit.

We stayed here for three nights as part of our Moroccan tour. It's a typical city centre hotel. The bedrooms are well-equipped. The street outside has a linear park in the centre which is good to walk along. There are a lot of locals walking there in the evenings. There's a shopping mall nearby. It got very crowded at breakfast time.

Un gros souci lorsque l'on prenait la douche, impossible de rĂŠgler l'eau Ă la bonne tempĂŠrature, soit on se brĂťle ou soit on se douche Ă l'eau froide... Un technicien est venu pour nous donner un cours pratique de rĂŠglage de l'eau avec un mitigeur...đ đ Mais le problème a perdurĂŠ durant tout notre sĂŠjour. La qualitĂŠ des plats est Ă amĂŠliorer, cuisson et goĂťt et surtout d'apporter des plats bien chaud, car lorsque l'on mangeait en chambre, la nourriture ĂŠtait Ă peine tiède... C'est un point Ă amĂŠliorer pour la satisfaction client. Merci.

Cons: PĂŠsima atenciĂłn. Room service nunca atendĂa el telĂŠfono, para pedir hielo tenĂa que bajar a recepciĂłn desde donde me enviaban al bar. El estacionamiento es en la calle si es que hay lugar. La persona de la recepciĂłn nos maltratĂł diciendo que debĂamos llamar al telĂŠfono de Room service pero no entendĂa que nadie respondĂa. En la pileta tuvimos que pedir tres veces que nos trajeran toallas y demoraron mĂĄs de media hora. En el pool bar tardaron mĂĄs de 15 minutos en preparar un cafĂŠ y solo aceptaban efectivo. PĂŠsima atenciĂłn para un hotel de supuestamente alta categorĂa. No lo recomiendo.

Le restaurant, nous avons dĂŽnĂŠ sur place et la je pense quâil y a intĂŠrĂŞt Ă trouver un bon cuisinier parce que câest une honte (pain pas cuit, entrecĂ´te et suprĂŞme de volaille mĂŞme chose, dĂŠlai dâattente très long sachant que nous ĂŠtions les seuls dans le restaurant, la sauce champignons inqualifiable les frites surgelĂŠes) tout cela en impliquant des tarifs de grande brasserie ( bravo messieurs). La chambre 305, nuit blanche avec un bruit de canalisation dans les murs qui se dĂŠclenche chaque 5 minutes (allez vĂŠrifier c vraiment dĂŠrangeant). Après quand nous avons demandĂŠ Ă changer de chambre on nous a gentiment dit de voir avec lâĂŠquipe de lâaprès midi sans mĂŞme demander la raison). Je vais mâarrĂŞter lĂ mais il y a un intĂŠrĂŞt Ă agir vite.

La piscine est Ă rĂŠnover. Petite certe mais avec une renovation ca peut rajouter du charme Ă l'hotel et donner l'envie d'uune baignade :) Enfin, personne ne m'a informĂŠ Ă mon arrivĂŠ que le parking est payant 40dh/jour. Al final de la estancia volvimos a recordar el incidente y la recepcionista nos comentĂł: âhemos enviado una cesta de frutas, Âżno la has recibido?â. Pues bien, nunca llegĂł nada. Un hotel que presume de su categorĂa no puede ofrecer un servicio tan deficiente. Ni siquiera fueron capaces de cumplir con un gesto de cortesĂa que ellos mismos prometieron. Una experiencia totalmente insatisfactoria.

We were made to feel at home right away by an extremely friendly hotel staff. The hotel is well situated: close to shoping mall ,royal palace and Medina. Room was exactly like a normal 4 star hotel in France or Italy. Breakfast was excellent & reasonably priced with variety of western & local food available in buffet style layout + eggs & pancake cooked according to guests' tastes...Pool for kids and one for adults adjacent ( not huge but enough to have a good swim)In short; had good time, staff very friendly & hotel well situated in city. Le personnel Êtait très professionnel et courtois, le directeur adjoint, Mr El Abrahimi bienveillant et prÊsent afin de veiller à notre confort, Salma,guest agent charmante qui a rÊpondu à nos questions et demandes avec le sourire, le serveur du resto , Amine,très serviable qui s est bien occupÊ de nous, Ilhame,serveuse et cuisinière, un vrai soleil, serviable et Mohamed à la rÊception du parking, très gentil, serviable..et beaucoup d autres qui ont permis à ce qu on passe un excellent sÊjour dans cet hôtel. Nous reviendrons.

The location was ideal. We were able to have a leisurely walk down the main boulevard then go to the nearby mall. The staff were friendly upon arrival and always smiling whenever we passed by. The room size was very generous and the beds huge and comfortable.
Cons: Our air-conditioning did not cool the room. We complained but there was no action. Also, there was no nespresso coffee refill, when we asked the lobby for some refill, they said it was with housekeeping but they were closed until 9am.

I stayed at Barcelo Hotel Medina Fes for the final of the Coupe du TrĂ´ne. From the moment I called to confirm my reservation, Selma was so helpful and kind, making sure everything was ready for my arrival. At check-in, Bilal assisted me efficiently and with a smile, and Mohamed from Front Office was also very welcoming and professional, which made me feel immediately at home. During my stay, the bar team â Ilyes and Amine â were fantastic, always attentive and friendly. Kaoutar from the restaurant was so kind, warm, and genuinely happy that my team won, which made me feel supported and appreciated. The atmosphere at the hotel was incredible, as many guests were there for the match. My team won, and everyone was celebrating together, creating a real family vibe. Despite the busy period, the staff remained professional and full of positive energy. Thank you to Selma, Bilal, Mohamed, Ilyes, Amine, Kaoutar, and the entire Barcelo team for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Fes.

Cons: Ich mĂśchte meine Erfahrungen mit diesem Hotel teilen. Leider war der Kundenservice nicht zufriedenstellend, da das Personal wenig Fachwissen in der Kundenbetreuung zeigte. Zudem war das Zimmer äuĂerst schmutzig. Ich habe mich unwohl gefĂźhlt, barfuĂ im Zimmer zu laufen, da ich Haare sowohl auf dem FuĂboden als auch auf den Kissen vorfand. Auch das Bad war nicht sauber. Während meiner Rundreise durch Marokko war dies das dreckigste Hotel, das ich besucht habe, und leider war die Stadt Fez ebenfalls nicht in einem sauberen Zustand.

Lâaccueil est chaleureux, le personnel est aux petits soins, toujours souriant et professionnel. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et très bien ĂŠquipĂŠes, avec une literie ultra confortable. Mention spĂŠciale pour le petit-dĂŠjeuner, variĂŠ et dĂŠlicieux, un vrai moment de plaisir chaque matin. Je recommande vivement cet hĂ´tel, que ce soit pour un sĂŠjour dĂŠtente, en couple ou en famille. Et je reviendrai avec grand plaisir une 4e fois !đ🥰

Iâd highly recommend staying at Barcelo hotel. The room was large and clean. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a buffet and provided a wide range of options. Itâs not the cheapest location in fes and youâre not in the medina (itâs a short and cheap taxi ride away) but the location is still good. Itâs next to a busy road but the soundproofing is excellent and I couldnât hear anything. I slept much better than in other cities where I stayed in a Riad.
Cons: Thereâs nothing I didnât like about it. I would stay here again.

Fabulous! Huge comfortable bed and clean room, lots of facilities. But for me what makes a good hotel into a great hotel is the people who run it, and for that I'd happily give 10 stars. We spent a great couple of evenings in the restaurant dancing with the wonderful Moroccan band, it was such fun after a day touring and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco.

Good hotel with fine facilities and location. Staff was very friendly, especially mdam najllaa from room service staff she was very helpful and got us whatever we needed .I wish her best career. Room was clean and they keep it clean every day when we are back.

Lovely hotel in good location. Walking distance to mall. Rooms were modern and clean. Water and tea station provided. Same day laundry service. Breakfast was definitely of a better standard than other hotels I stayed in Morocco. 4 star rating deserved.
