Ti fanno sentire a casa.

Struttura molto bella, personale gentilissimi, buona posizione

Cons: Bed was doorgezakt.

Riad Léna & Spa has an excellent location right in the heart of the Medina, which makes it easy to walk to most of Marrakech’s main attractions. Staying there is a nice way to experience the city’s atmosphere up close. The riad itself is pleasant and quiet, with a small pool that’s great for cooling off after a day of walking. The staff was always friendly and helpful, and the welcome tea on arrival is a nice touch. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace and is both delicious and varied, with fresh options that change daily. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-located place with a warm and authentic atmosphere.

The hotel has very welcoming and attentive staff and service, especially Saeeda and Latif. It is also a very convenient location as it is inside the Medina and easy to get a taxi. However, I will say that the rooms need modernising as they are dark and lack amenities such as a fridge. Apart from that, the courtyard is beautiful and a lovely breakfast is served everyday on the terrace.

Location was perfect for both Medina exploration and pick ups for tours. Pool was good for a cool dip after a day in the souks.
Cons: Correspondence was zero after initial acceptance of reservation. They never replied to numerous messages via email, WhatsApp or via booking.com before we arrived. Lovely Riad with the typical pool in the middle that gives it that luxury riad feel from the first minute! The staff is lovely and the rooms are perfect despite being a bit small. The layout was good and it was not an issue. The breakfast was amazing bar the orange juice that was not freshly squeeze and tasted vile.
Cons: Please please please in a country that has amazing oranges it would make sense to have fresh orange juice in the morning! also I would have welcomed a bit more privacy to the bathroom area as the toilets have doors but not the shower.

The Riad was beautiful. The location is great as it is near to a bigger street where you can get a taxi as well as to the Souks. The pool was pretty and refreshing. The breakfast and the food you can order during the day is delicious. The staff was very friendly, especially Rashid. He gave us a lot of tips on what we should do and eat. He welcomed us with tea und brought us little snacks when he saw us sitting outside.
Cons: The Riad is located in a quite small and empty street. It is okay as the street still is well lit. it is just something that is nice to be aware of before the trip especially if you are traveling as a woman.

The staff at Riad Léna & Spa in amazing, everyone is so kind and gentle and always happy to help you. I loved the small pool in the centre of the Riad as well as the rooftop, with lots of space to relax and enjoy the hot tub. It's a perfect Riad if you're looking for some relax as well as exploring the Medina, the market is just few minutes away. It's easy to reach by taxi as well and the reception is 24h, so you don't even have to bring your key with you. We really enjoyed our staying here and hopefully we're gonna come back one day.
Cons: I would change the beds. We stayed in a double bedroom and our bed was made of two single beds putted together. It wasn't really comfortable so maybe adding a topper it would have been better.

Good wifi connection and very cozy swimmingpool. Nice breakfast (a bit disappointed that it was the only hotel where we had to ask for honey which is normal to be served) Very 15-20 min walk to Jamaa al Fna
Cons: The owner/man responsable was very rude and unprofessional (the rest of the family was nice and very friendly) 1)For the day of the departure we asked kindly to have our breakfast as take away because we had to go at 6:40 in order to catch our flight, and we had a kid of 6 years. The reply was : "No the kitchen opens at 8" 2)The night before our departure at 6:40am we went back to the hotel at 24:00 pm without any money because we knew we couldn't take with us any dirham in Europe. As soon as we arrived, he asked us 34€/340 DH for the city tax that he didn't mention before, and no way to pay with a credit card. My husband had to GET OUT TO FIND AN ATM at 24:00pm not knowing very well the area, at night and without wifi, he came back at 02:00 am. Our child and I were very concerned. The manager then magically were able to give us breakfast as takeaway before my husband returned. 3)No car/taxi could get to the entrance of the Hotel because the hotel is in a walking area. He asked for 220DH, when the normal price is 50DH (a dinner out for 3 persons) for a 10min of taxi to the airport when it's actually not a service but a necessity because the taxis aren't nearby.

Cons: It was too quiet, you could hear a conversation on the ground floor from 3 floors up. Felt like we couldn’t relax properly in the room. Rachid was so lovely and so helpful! Always service with a smile and assisted us with any help we needed. Rachid made our stay at the riad worth it! Syeda was so welcoming also! She welcomed us with yummy Moroccan mint tea upon arrival and provided a great service. -Location: •Location was fantastic. The main roads are a 1 min walk away from the riad. 20 mins walk to jemaa el fnaa or can grab a taxi from the main road which takes about ten mins to get to jemaa rl fnaa. Literally right around the corner from the riad are a bunch of cute restaurants and souvenir shops. Food is VERY accessible price-wise and location. -Room: •The bedroom was perfect for my friend and I. We shared a very large bed and had an en suite with a large shower. Air con, bedding and few toiletries provided. All perfect! Couldn’t wish for any better! -Breakfast: •Breakfast every morning was fantastic from 8-10am! A choice of Moroccan mint tea or coffee. And a traditional breakfast comprising of different breads and jam with butter and fresh orange juice. -Atmosphere: •The atmosphere was fantastic! We played music while in our room and while in the jacuzzi and nobody minded! Other guests also joined in with the vibes! Of course we were mindful of sound levels etc when playing music. -Amenities: •The amenities were great! We used the hot tub on the roof terrace every day! One day we used it twice even, we loved it that much! The pool downstairs near the entrance was amazing to dip our feet in in the evening to cool off. The whole vibe of the riad was so serene. Decor was perfect also! Very traditional.
Cons: -Loved every part of it!

The location was great, although we didn't realise we would have to walk some of the way from where the taxi dropped us off. The breakfast was simple but very nice, and traditional too. The staff were absolutely lovely! They couldn't have done more for us. The rooms were small but absolutely functional as a place to sleep, very comfy beds and plenty of hot water. We loved the traditional décor of the place, and its location was central to exploring the medieval streets and souks. A great choice of cafes and restaurants very close too. It was quite a culture shock for us, but an amazing experience of such a vibrant place.
Cons: Exact directions from taxi drop off to the hotel. The medina is a labyrinth and it took us a while to find the place. The spa/pool didn't seem to be in use, but we didn't ask about it either.

SPACIOUS ROOMS, GOOD BREAKFAST, A FEW STEPS TO Jemaa el-Fnaa SQUARE, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, THEY GAVE US SOME INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ORIENTATE IN THE CITY AND WHAT TO VISIT. WE ONLY SLEPT ONE NIGHT BECAUSE WE TRAVELED ONWARDS.

Good location and friendly staff. The Riad is dated and needs a facelift. The furniture has seen better days. The breakfast room door has a large pain of glass missing which has been for months. Rooms are small. An economicaly Riad but overpriced. Did not use the hot tub or the sun loungers as they did not look inviting. Good basic breakfast service.

Very nice, clean and well located. Easy access to Rue Riad Laarous for taxis, tour pick ups and transfers. Good size rooms and cleaned daily. Very relaxed atmosphere and after a day, we realised it was more like a homestay rather than a traditional hotel. Excellent breakfast up on the rooftop with traditional Morrocan delights. Staff were really friendly including Rashid who was most helpful. Even loaned us travel guides for us to explore Marrakech. Rooms are air-conditioned which is much needed during the afternoons. Nice cosy sofas to lie around the pool and pull up a book. Wi-fi is weak and not secure if your phone or tablet has strong security features. Doesn’t connect to iPhones with strong security firewalls. Get a local SIM card if you need to do a lot of intérnet surfing. Otherwise most cafes have wifi so we didn’t have any FOMO. Overall a great location and we certainly will book again.

Holes in the sheets, towels as abrasive as sandpaper and worn out. Dark, uninviting entry to property, like lights literally turned off. Had to use a movable screen and throw a blanket over it for privacy when showering. Room was dank and damp. Missing tile in stairwell dangerous. Can’t recommend.

The Riad is situated straight at the beginning of the souks, a very strategic point for taxi pick ups. This was a massive benefit! The Riad itself it's a dream, a quiet place in the heart of the bazaar. The staff is small, you always have 2 or 3 people max around, always keen to help you. They speak a little English so knowing french or a bit of both will be beneficial - the guys are local Massive shout out to Rashid who was always happy to have a chat about Moroccan people, their life and their culture. Breakfast is quite full and served from 8am to 10am. You can also have lunch and dinner with a basic menu, we suggest to go outside to experience the restaurants around the souks. Overall a dreamy accomodation, highly recommended! Fran & Dani
Cons: WiFi isn't working properly but it's the case of most of the roads in Marrakech. Get yourself a local SIM card!

The hotel has a great staff and service. They are very welcoming and attentive for everything you would need. Also great property to stay inside the medina as everything is within walking distance and easy to catch a taxi is needed. The rooms are very dark (as a matter of fact with no windows) with a musty smell not quite comfortable. In my view the expedia rating is higher compared to what I saw

A nice Riad not too far away from medina. Breakfast was small but filling, and but only between 8 and 10am. A nice plunge pool to jump into and relax after a hot day. The staff were very good to me especially on my last day. Shukran
Cons: Would have been nice to have breakfast earlier than 8am. I was leaving twice early so missed breakfast. Also there is a city tax not included in the bill which is about €3 a day.

Riad Lena was the perfect place to stay in Marrakech. Located right by the edge of the souk, it was easy to find and provided a great place to start exploring each day. The staff was always friendly and willing to help however they could. The breakfast each day was delicious and the tea really good. The jacuzzi was also a lovely place to relax after a long day. If we come to Marrakech again, we will definitely be staying here!

We spent 4 days here and the wifi is horrible especially in the room. Nothing they could do about connectivity. The bathroom dont have doors. The water was cold in the shower. The heating was a hit and miss. If you shower daily this is not your place. The room was cold and has a lot of drafts. Strictly the breakfast starts late at 8am. If you have booked an excursion expect you wont get a breakfast. The place is poorly maintained broken doors, painting are worn. The terrace was full clothes with laundry linens. The decor was old and falling.

The wifi was terrible. We spent four days without proper internet connection. The room was cold. The shower had intermittent warm water. Often we had to skip bathing because the water was cold. The terrace at the roof top was poorly maintained. The breakfast hall was super cold. The pictures need to be updated. The uniform of the ladies are tattered clearly reflecting poor labor. The spa is located outside the Riad. Most of the time its close.

A traditional Riad and probably a very good indication of what local Riad's are like. Clean and safe. The breakfast was adequate, and the staff great, but no variation on content- each day the same. - BUT a 4 star in Marakesch is probably a 3 star in UK.
Cons: The bathroom was a disappointment and the front desk was rarely manned. Although a "triple room" not much space. Friends stayed in a more "up-market" Riad and the contrast was very noticable, although their hosts were not as friendly.

The Riad is off the main road through the medina and the local builder wander past in their Donkey carts which is not what we Northern Europeans are used to. The Riad itself needs a bit of work, but that is total made up for and surpassed by the wonderful friendly service that the manager, Latif, and the staff provide. So all the rooms have things that need fixing, e.g. showers you have to hold because the wall holders are broken, toilet doors with no handles and towels which are obviously well worn but always clean. These things added to the authentic character of the place. The roof terrace is wonderful. However, Latif, Karin, etc could not do enough for us. They really know how to make people feel special and welcomed. Latif organised a trip to the Atlas Mountains for us with Manir and for six of us it cost a total 120€ for the whole day, that included a guide,Obama, who walked us up to the waterfall making sure that we were safe when clambering up and down rocks. Latif also recommended and booked superb restaurants for us, plus taxis to and from when appropriate. In fact, the only poor meal we had during our 6 day stay was when we didn’t ask for a recommendation. Like most places within the old city the Riad doesn’t sell alcohol, but they were happy for us to bring wine in to drink on the roof terrace. To try to respect the local customs we didn’t ask the staff to serve the wine but they did provide the glasses for us. If you want a stay that feels authentic Marrakech this is a great place to stay. We would go back.

Whilst this riad needs some investment in its facilities with the rooms requiring some maintenance and upgrades, it is far outweighed by the wonderful team headed by the owner Latif. There is a real family atmosphere with nothing too much trouble and we were looked after like queens with 6 of us in the booking. We had some lovely continental breakfasts and an evening meal that was great value and delicious and Latif also made some wonderful suggestions for restaurants that were all amazing. He also organised taxis at a reasonable price and a private tour to the Atlas Mountains that was really good value and superb. The riad is right in the middle of the Medina and perfect for being able to explore the old town. For the price, you really can’t fault staying here if you overlook the requirement to fix the shower heads and old towels and replace some of the mattresses. We found that over 5 nights our concern about these things diminished and showed that what really makes the difference is the warm and friendly, can do attitude of the host and team. I can highly recommend staying here if you want a real sense of living in Marrakech and experiencing the warmth and friendliness of Moroccan people.

In a really good location inside medina. Easy to arrive by taxi and you can walk basically everywhere in the centre. Breakfast was served every morning between 8-10AM and it was good!

The location was great, a short drive from the airport and a very short walk to the souks. Our room was literally 5 steps away from the pool which was amazing. The roof terrace was lovely, the hot tub was particularly enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they helped book taxis and offered great restaurant recommendations.
Cons: The road was a little dated and unclean in places, but they did clean the rooms every day. The wifi wasn’t great and the shower temperature didn’t work properly

It is a unique Moroccan experience, living within the Moroccan architecture. Towels are old, should be replaced and clean after every use. The towels need to be washed with a softener. The mattresses were hard. The bed covers are hard on the skin. Breakfast (though continental) was very limited. There was no option for fruit and/or protein. WiFi provision was intermittent. Need to provide drinking water or vending machine in the property. Little mid-con like TV will also be nice

First Riad Experience and thoroughly enjoyed it! The Riad is about 3 mins walk from the taxi drop off - lots of locals will offer to show you the way, but will want a tip to do so. I offered a £1 coin which was not well received, as only notes are wanted! We used a pre booked Taxi via Booking.com (for around £9.50) with Caressa Group and the driver was waiting outside the airport with my name up on a board. Great transfer and our driver gave lots of tips about places to visit. The return taxi with Meet Your Driver was not as efficient (and we needed help from Kareem at the Riad to make sure it was going to turn up!) With hindsight we should have put purchased a Moroccan SIM card at the airport as call charges are extortionate with UK SIM! Changing a small amount of cash at the airport would also help for initial tips and purchases of water (lots of shops/stalls in the Medina to get water for around 5 - 10 Dirhams - depending on your bartering skills!) The Riad is located down an alley way off the main pathway, on the right hand side just before Cafe Caravane. Check in was from 3pm but we arrived on an early flight and did get in a bit earlier! There is a doorbell outside to ring for access, followed by a warm welcome from Latif and his staff. No real communication issues experienced - just learn a bit of Arabic! Latif also advised us of the best money exchange just off the Jemaa El Fna square, to the right side of the post office at Hotel Ali. Check is Moroccan style - mint tea on the top floor terrace, while you complete the necessary paperwork and pay for your stay in €, $ or GBP. Local taxes are payable, so check when you book if these are included or not. The Riad has 3 floors and around 10 rooms, I think. We booked a junior suite (room No 4). It was quite a spacious room with a double bed and a sofa area, wardrobe and cabinet for clothes. The bathroom had an open sink and shower area with a toilet with 2 doors. Hairdryer provided. We did have a few issues with our toilet which Raschid attempted to fix on a regular basis. Eventually we asked to swap rooms and were moved to Room 5 which was lovely and had shuttered windows onto the Riad courtyard. Again it has an open shower area but enclosed working toilet!! As we were 2 single female travellers we had requested 2 separate beds but that wasn’t how the room had been set up. When we asked Latif he immediately spoke to staff and they took out one part of sectional sofa and put in a single bed. The room is quite dark as it has only 2 small windows, but there are plenty of lamps. It is air conditioned and this was needed in the 42 - 46 degrees we experienced during our 7 night stay. There are a few sockets (2 pin plugs) to charge phones etc. there are no room safes, mini fridge or TV. Breakfast is served on the upper terrace from 8am. It is the same food offered every day but it tasted great - pancakes, cake, yoghurt, fresh orange juice and a choice of hot drinks, all prepared by the lovely, smiling Kareem. Rooms and the outside areas are cleaned daily by the two lovely ladies. Towels are a little on the hard side but do the job adequately. We ate our first evening meal at the Riad but it is much more expensive than nearby cafes and restaurants. We had the lamb tagline with onions and raisins and it was delicious. There is a small pool on the ground floor but sadly I couldn’t access this due to my mobility issues. However, I was assured by other travellers (mixture of nationalities) it was a lovely place to cool down. There was also a hot tub on the top terrace which I did manage to access. The Riad is about 10/15 mins stroll to Jemaa el Fna square - Latif provided us with a map but we still got lost most days! Again lots of locals will offer to help out for a fee! There are lots of lovely places to eat out but most have upstairs terraces and this can be an issue if you have mobility problems. Our favourites in the Medina were Dar El Waledin, La Terasse Ben Youssef, Kui-Zin (ground floor and air con) and in the square the Argana - air conditioned and does amazing ice creams! Local to the Riad we found a gem of a place called Limoni, only 5 mins walk away (found using offline google map directions) - had the best pizza ever in here and we were served by the most friendly waiter Youssef! It does get really busy so just do an online reservation to ensure a table (either outside under the lemon tree or in the inside room with air con!) Overall we had an amazing trip and enjoyed our Riad experience with Latif and the team! Our main tip, August temperatures can get up to around 46 degrees, so be prepared!!

We wanted to stay in an authentic riad in the medina, and this property didn’t disappoint. It was conveniently positioned to enable us to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit, yet near enough to a main road to easily get a taxi when required. The breakfast - which was included - was tasty and filling. All the staff were helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. I had a relaxing massage in their spa after a tiring day, which was the icing on the cake. 💕

My group of 4 stayed at Riad Lena & Spa (RLS) 2/19 - 2/22 in two rooms (listed as junior suites) on the 2nd level. RLS was a great starting point for our stay in the Médina (old town) each day (approx 15 Minute walk to main square. There are tons of riads many with similar offerings, I selected Lena because of location, cost and facilities. Room The junior suites are designed in Moroccan fashion with beautiful wood finishes, spacious enough for two (although it can sleep three) with a king bed (our configuration was made into two twin beds), large shower area and separate sitting area. Food The breakfast was included with the room rate. Each morning was served on the rooftop by Rachid and his team with a smile. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Consisted of various Moroccan breads, pastries, fresh yogurt, orange juice, tea, etc. Service Rachid and the team were excellent and took great care of us. They kept the Riad clean, helped move our heavy bags (a feat within its own!),provided directions, set up the rooftop hot tub each day and helped us coordinate with our pick-up at departure. Negative I contacted the hotel several times via email to book a transfer from the airport and order dinner . None of the emails were responded to. Fortunately we caught a cab at the airport and the driver called the Riad and Rachid met us at the taxi point. Things to Note - You will need to walk approx 3 minutes from the cab drop off point to the front of the Riad as cars cannot drive directly in front - In true Riad fashion the stairs are steep and narrow - At Riads (unlike standard hotels) it is customary to receive welcome tea (and small cookies/pastries) in a lounging area upon arrival, then fill out paperwork then be shown to your room. Relax and enjoy the moment! Overall, I would consider returning to Riad Lena in a future trip

1 night stay, family of four - two adults, two small kids, last night in Morocco. Location: Good Amenities: Ok Room: brick wall literally crumbling onto our heads as we slept Communication/reception: As we'd just gotten off a 10 hour bus trip, my small kids and I didn't want to be welcomed with tea and sitting around the terrace at 8pm. We wanted our room and beds that didn't move or jiggle. We tried ALL DAY to call this riad, to confirm details, with no response. When we arrived, the lovely Rashid also attempted to contact his manager, and my only guess is that he never got through either. After waiting around quite a while, I showed him my receipt for pre-pay through Expedia, the name of the room we had booked (ground floor Argan suite - grubby, shower is terrible and doesn't drain, toilet runs all night, worst beds in Morocco, see aforementioned crumbling wall, smells of chlorine from pool just outside) and said that if his manager had an issue, that she could take it up with me in the morning. It wasn't my kindest moment. Breakfast: carbapalooza. It was awesome. Checkout: well, they held onto our bags in reception until our taxi came at 1:30, but after ringing bells and waiting a while and no one showing up, we literally just grabbed our bags and walked out. I have no idea if there were local costs or taxes or anything. The place is nice looking in pictures and is in an interesting location. It's a bit of a shame because it really just seems like no one cares. Rashid was perfectly welcoming and overly helpful.

This hotel was in terrible condition. All seating in our room and in the courtyard spaces were very dirty multiple stains. The bedspreads were dirty and dragging on dirty floor. Shower stall columns had a lot of mold and showerhead is filled with buildup and is rusty. Towels which are supposed to be white were grey in color and worn out with shredding. The brick walls flake brick onto your head and in bed constantly. We stayed in the family suite but there was no curtain or door for the shower which was inconvenient for a family.

Great location. Staff are friendly and always welling to help. Just One thing that make us unhappy is the Air-con temperature in our bedroom, it is working but you can’t able to change the setting, its been set for 24 degrees which is not comfortable temperature for us specially after walking around outside the markets and square under the heat. Beside that, we had a great holiday in Marrakech 👍 Thank you

It's a nice riad with a friendly staff. They will let you in regardless of what time at night you're returning to your hotel. It's simple and with character. Don't expect television or other amenities of this sort in your room but again if you're not intending to remain in your room throughout your trip, that is not a problem. The wifi is there but not very strong - the internet connections in general are not great in the historical parts of Marrakech. It's clean and the room was being done every day. The riad is nicely located in Medina, almost in the middle of the souk, you see your local 'neighbours' in the street and the children playing outside. This makes it kind of homely despite the confusion of Medina. I learnt may way around there in one day, and this made me enjoy the buzz of this north African old town.

Only downside was that we tried to book a spa and were told the spa was closed. Initially we were sligtly disappinted but soon found one nearby to go to so this wore off quickly. Staff were very helpfulwith directions amd recommendations. Wifi was also difficult to connect to but there was a bar a 5 minute walk from the riad so we just used this is as an excuse to go for a drink to get wifi. It was also nice not having it as it gave us a chance to properly switch off and relax in the riad. Location was excellent, close walking distance to the square and easy to get around. Altogether would highly recommend for a tranquil, relaxing authentic experience.

The Hotel and the staff are all pretty OK, quite friendly staff. BUT... the hotel didn’t have the essential stuff when you asked for it. For instance, they ran out of map..., and they don’t have any business cards of the hotel!!! I booked 2 tours in Marrakech and was told by the travel agent that the exact picking time and location would be confirmed the day before the tour, and I told them to call Riad Léna and leave a message as I could be out visit places. Well, guess what... the message didn’t pass on to me, and because of this, it added complications to my booked tour. Most of the time, there was nobody at the reception desk. When the bell was rung, nobody came to my attention. So, I have to say, even though the staff could be friendly, but I wasn’t attended when I need them. If you don’t speak French, stay away from this Riad.

My daughter and I had a very pleasant 3 days in the riad Lena. The staff were extremely accomodating and incredibly helpful. The room was exactly as one would expect for the money, simply furnished but clean and tidy. We had a bath with a handheld shower attachment, and not a proper shower but this was my fault for not reading the blurb properly! There is a beautiful plunge pool in the centre of the courtyard which was freezing cold (although this didn't stop my 13 year old trying it) and a jacuzzi on the roof terrace which was kept at a lovely temperature. The breakfast was delicious, there is no menu, you get what you are given which for our stay was 3 different types of bread/ pastries with butter and conserves, delicious fresh yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice and choice of tea or coffee.

Overall the experience was good. The hotel is situated in a good location in the medina so main attractions are walking distance. The hotel is peaceful and quiet with nice typical moroccan decor. Friendly staff and good service although only a few could speak english and the rest only french and arabic. I was given a ground room floor so not much sunlight but the room was always clean. The only flaw was that there was a lot of humidity in the room compared to outside.

A lot of people looking to "help" you then try to extort you for money for "showing you around" make sure you have great directions. The Road is not easy to find in the night so you may want to get there durning the day.Make sure you know the monetary system as to not get taken.

Riad Lena made us feel safe and comfortable in a city which has a major learning curve for Americans. The manager Latif was exceptionally nice and the entire staff was very attentive. They speak good English and will cater to your every need. The Riad itself is a traditional, no frills facility. Do not arrive expecting it to be a 5 star hotel as it's not, but that is apart of the fun. You won't get more traditional than Riad Lena. Tip: when the cab drops you off at the end of the street do NOT let anyone assist you with your baggage as this man will aggressively extort you for a lot of money. He did it to multiple guest including us during our stay. Obviously, not Riad Lena's fault. Just a helpful hint for guest staying at any Riad in the area.

If your looking for a place with a great perception of Moroccan culture along with the beauty of detail and close to souks. This is the place. The staff were beyond accommodating. The location was perfectly placed for walking about and shopping the souks. With only. 50MAD ($5) taxi drive to the museum and Ben yousseff is walking distance. This place was exactly what I wanted out of Marrakech. Highly recommend.

Cosy riad in the heart of the medina , although a dry riad there is the cafe arabe within a 10 minute walk which serves good Italian food and wine which you can ask to take out . Cannot compliment the staff enough as very welcoming throughout our stay.Rooms are clean, authentic and quirky with the bonus of a hot tub , which after the madness of the souks is a god send to unwind in .The riad is a tranquil transition from the medina to calmness .

You wouldn't know you were in the medina! This Riad is so calm and peaceful with a beautiful terrace and hot tub. Facilities are a little basic, wifi intermittent, but the staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly the staff on the terrace, and the rooms are of a good standard - not finished to London standard but nice enough.

Everything in this hotel was perfect, including rose petals on the bed. The only problem was that - in my opinion - we would have gone absolutely lost without the help of some local woman. It is impossible to find the hotel, especially during the night. We had active GPS and everything, but didn't help anyway...

Riad Lena was lovely. The property is super comfortable and charming, with great proximity to wonderful restaurants and Jma el Fnaa square. The property manger was a great help. We also got a hammam treatment at the associated spa across the ally which was pleasant. I think some of the bed linens could use some replacing, but a very comfortable stay!

Exceptionally great service Above and Beyond provided by the Guest Service Agent Rasheed each and every day! Very thoughtful and anticipating your needs. Would return to Riad Lena just for the great staff. Riad was very nice and clean. Nice décor all around. Easy walking distance to all attractions. Only thing we found disappointing was the sub par "Spa" located next door to Riad Lena. We paid for a hammam scrub and wrap but were only given the scrub and that at best was mediocre. DO NOT waste your money on poor service and staff. We highly recommend going to the Le Bain Bleu Spa...about a 5 minute walk away...very high end with professional services and staff in a very relaxing atmosphere for a great price....went there several times during our stay. We would definitely return to Riad Lena and also thank the Riad Manager Celine for all her assistance during our 3 stays over a 3 week period.

If you want the authentic Marrakech experience, you can't beat Riad Lena! Quite close to the nearest taxi stand but still in the Medina (imagine Old World market stalls crammed into narrow alleyways where you dodge donkey-pulled carts, motorbikes, and many enterprising touristy knick-knack salesmen), so you walk about 50 feet into another world before you step into the serene Riad Lena. Like all riads here, it is centered around a courtyard, the whole building beautifully restored and filled with thoughtful touches. A total peaceful oasis, and just five feet away from the front door is the hammam and spa associated with the hotel--best commute ever to a massage and back to room! The roof is breezy and stuffed with chairs and tables where you can read a book, hang out in the rooftop hot tub, or get served a simple but delicious breakfast or dinner. There was always a friendly or helpful face to assist in logistics and answer questions. My parents, who had never been to North Africa, were completely enchanted. We all agreed it was the best hotel on our trip through Spain and Morocco. Don't stay at a soulless Western-style hotel in the "new" Marrakech far away from the action! Stay at Riad Lena and fall in love!

Celine helped us feel welcomed upon arrival in Marrakech. She arranged for a driver to greet us at the airport and escort us to Riad Lena. She also arranged for dinner at the Riad the first night. Rasheed greeted us each morning on the terrace where he served a lovely breakfast. Riad Lena is a beautiful and authentic Riad. It is also very romantic. I highly recommend this Riad while visiting Marrakech.

What an oasis in the mad medina of Marrakech:-) Lovely staff who work very long hours, always with a smile. I felt very at home here from the moment I arrived. Clean rooms, a bit rustic (cave type showers, wonderful). Beautiful terrace and plunge pool(also hottish tub- don't need hot in summer:-). Cannot fault anything about this Riad. The Riad is not far from Dmaa el Fna and very close to cultural sights (Medersa and Musee etc). Petit Taxis available 3 mins walk if you want to visit the new town Gueliz. Rose petals were scattered on the bed and room when we arrived- little touches about this Riad including the cold thrice filtered water (so no upset stomachs), free to guests day and night; substantial breakfasts, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, local honey, jam, cheese. Very sad to leave; could have happily stayed another week or two.

All the staff at Riad Lena were lovely and helpful, and the rooms are beautiful. Location is also great, and the courtyard plunge pool is a wonderful treat after a hot day walking around the city! So is the gorgeous rooftop deck. Only complaint about the hotel were the showers, we stayed in two different rooms and the showerheads in both were broken. But everything else was perfect. I saw earlier reviews complaining about the air con but in both of our rooms the air con was fantastic. Staff couldn't be nicer.

Our room was a basic one, but it has everything we needed. the decoration was beautiful, and was very clean. The hotel has 2 pools, one is in the first floor, and has a particular shape that makes it different and pretty. The second one, on the top floor, is a jacuzzi, it was great to use it after a busy day in Marrakech. They also have many tables upstairs, were you can take a delicious breakfast or just relax. Celine, the manager, was very kind and always tried to make us comfortable. She explained to us with a map the most important places to visit, she reserved a taxi to take us to the airport and also allowed us to stay in the room after the check out time, so we can wait there until 3pm that we have to leave to the airport. We had an amazing time in the Riad! Thank you!!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights, overall the riad is highly recommended. The highlights being the location and the impeccable service from all the staff. We changed room after first night to a more comfortable room and due to noise nearby on night 1 (not the fault of the riad). The move was no problem for staff and dealt with quickly and professionally. The staff were brilliant throughout and even treated us to some freebies drinks during our stay. Thanks

The Riad is pretty easy to find but is slightly out of the most touristy areas. The staff are very helpful and the roof terrace is pleasant (jacuzzi a bonus after a long day walking around). Traditional simple breakfast was great. Associated spa will organise very good henna on request. Our room was a touch damp at times maybe due to the open plan bathroom/ bedroom arrangement but for the money, the place was good.

Great staff, location. Hotel could use some uplifts, new towels/robes (which seemed stained), staff not always there so maybe a note to welcome guests and give 'house rules.' The restaurant was good, but wish I didn't have to plan ahead to eat there and could just show up if wanted to. One night I wanted to eat out instead, but had already ordered for dinner. Breakfast and dinner area quite cold. Overall happy with trip, no regrets staying here.

Right in the heaart of the Medina so a shott walk to the Jaama el fna square. Could also walk comfortably to le Jardin Majorelle and the Palace. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful as was the owner. Rooms were very clean and it was a delight to have breakfast on the roof terrace each morning. The hot tub in the roof terrace was also very relaxing after a long day of exploring the area. I definitely would recommend for a short break. In my opinion I don't think it would be suitable for young children and certainly not for any one with mobility issues. I wasn't a big fan of the Spa. Although the staff were nice I've had and experienced far better.

I booked this hotel not realizing that it was a riad. The rooms were somewhat small and there is a lack of lighting in the shower. Be aware that the hotel does allow smoking (right outside the room door), which I wish I would have known prior to smoking. The rooms are also not very private (you can hear guests talking outside of the room and there are actual natural cracks in the design of the door that allow noise to come through. Please note that this hotel is actually within the Medina, which means taxis will take you up to the Medina and you will need to walk through it to get to the hotel. I think this hotel would be good for someone who is looking for a more traditional experience and not a light sleeper. My husband and I stayed two days at the hotel, but were not asked for identification until the second day oddly. We were also asked to show our marriage certificate this time (not sure if this was because he is Moroccan), but have these documents with you if you stay here. There is a spa next door as well and a nice pool in the middle of the riad that you use. Overall, this was a nice experience but I probably would not stay here again due mainly to privacy concerns and smoking.

A lovely quiet place to stay in the medina. We stayed for a long weekend which is plenty. The median can be quite scary and the road is a perfect escape from the craziness outside, you can sit and forget about everything whilst relaxing in the hot tub. The spa was amazing well worth a visit.

Celine and her staff went out of her way to make us feel welcome, take care of tiny problems immediately, call and walk us out to a taxi, MAKE AVAILABLE INTERNATIONAL LONG DISTANCE AT NO CHARGE! Inside, everything is quiet - in the medina! The list goes on and on. This Riad is located extremely conveniently right inside Marrakesh's medina, so you step out the door and are immediately immersed in Morocco's best. Oh, and the breakfast, served tableside by Rasheed, on the rooftop terrace, wow!

From the moment we arrived at the Riad we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We were greeted by the very lovely Rashid who invited us up to the roof terrace for mint tea and delicious biscuits! Inside the Riad, it is clean, traditional and beautiful and a really tranquil place to be considering how close it is to the hustle and bustle of everything in the medina. The location is spot on and within easy walking distance of the main square (we did get lost the first time despite having a map from Rashid but that was part of the fun!) and also very close to a taxi rank. The breakfast at the Riad was slightly different each day and very tasty! The room itself was so pretty and right next to the pool on the ground floor which was perfect for dipping our feet in after our long day trips. We had a fantastic time and if we were to return to Marrakech, we would absolutely book to stay at Riad Lena again!

We had an amazing stay here, the staff went above and beyond to help us. We did a few excursions and the staff offered to make us breakfast early in the morning. They also helped us with a transfer to and from the airport. I would highly recommend this place, it was cozy and personal. Although, it is not the easiest to reach the staff at some times, the front desk has hours when the english speaker will be there but it was only for a short time in the morning. There is always one staff around but most likely, they do not speak English very well. Aside from that I think it was an amazing service, centrally located, close to many great restaurants and I would recommend this Riad to all my friends and family.

I overall, enjoyed my stay at Riad Lena, although it was a bit far from everything, it is still in the medina and about a 15 minute walk from the square (if you don't get too distracted with all of the shops along the way). The riad is beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable, though the shower flooded and there was no shower curtain or anything so I imagine it would be a bit awkward if I was travelling with someone else because then you can see each other showering. Additionally, I was not too impressed by the front desk attendant who works the night shift, he seems like a very young man and was not the most helpful. My last day at the riad I noticed these strange bites all over my left arm and the back of my neck, just thought maybe they were weird mosquito bites but the following day when I checked out of the riad and was on my way to the Sahara tour, the bites got VERY swollen, itchy and a bit painful and the discomfort lasted for about a week after checking out of the riad. I had to buy some anti-itch cream at a local pharmacy on my way to the desert because of the bites. I emailed the riad about the bites but never received a response to them despite sending photos with the email as well. Overall, you should stay at a different riad that is cheaper and much closer to everything and that does not have bed bugs.

A lovely little place with traditional décor and room styling - a real change from the standard Hilton / Marriott experience. During our stay the service was rather poor with no-one around to provide advice or answer any questions we had about the area. The breakfast area was also filled with flies which was very un-pleasant - they really need to clean their table settings!

Beautiful morroccon themed Riad, relatively cheap and close to markets, main square and easy to get to excursions. Lovely cold pool albeit a little small. A heavenly jacuzzi on terrace. Never used the spa facilites though it was opposite the hotel. The spa was also on the small side and looked very basic. We had one big bedroom that slept 4 and was amazing and the other bedroom too was nice. No Tv's but we didn't have time to watch. Shower was pleasantly warm but no lights, i enjoyed that though. Other than that the staff were friendly and offered a very quiet and private riad experience. Delicious breakfast served every morning with local honey, bread, fresh butter, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, fruit and jam. It set you up for the day wonderfully. Local food was available to buy in the markets though not superb quality. Next time I would stay in a Hotel closer to the main medina where it was bigger, busier and more developed. Loved my joliday and the Riad, highly reccomended. Just be mindful not to get ripped off by locals in taxi fares and excursions.

The riad was a haven of quiet and beauty just steps away from Marrakech shopping, nightlife, and the medina. A perfect locale for couples, the hospitality is unmatched, the rooftop terrace a dream come true (imagine sipping mint tea in a jacuzzi as you listen to the call to prayer), and its location absolutely perfect, as it is easily accessible by car while not being right on a major road. Not a perfect option for those without at least some French knowledge, but that may be the case for all of Marrakech. A walk away from the Jema al-fnaa, the medina, and shops; a longer walk or very fast cab to the Bahia Palace, the Jewish quarter; a quick, cheap cab from the new city and the Jarden Majorelle.
