Good location in Medina comfy bed nice little roof terrace

Cons: Can be very noisy in room when others are talking in the central area happened very early one morning. Room was cold at times and AC didn't warm well. Hot water limited ran out after my partner washed her hair so my shower wasn't warm. On the roof terrace often had lots of washing drying on it made it feel less welcoming

Charming Riad close to old Medina. Unique bed rooms and quaint sitting rooms. Lovely private pool and terrace area. A incredibly friendly staff who welcomed us to share their Riad as our own home. Very clean and well appointed. Lovely food.

This riad is a great find, beautiful, tranquil, yet only minutes from the blue gate and madness of the medina. The riad has been faithfully renovated to a very high standard, using traditional methods. The staff are fantastic, helpful, and always available The breakfast is wonderful with lots of local fruits, among lots more. The pool is great for relaxing after a day in the medina. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The staff was amazing. The receptionist Ikaram welcomed us with a cup of tea and invited us to wait in the garden. It was impressive to see how attentive she was with us while multitasking and helping other guests at the same time. She was so kind and responsive! The riad is in a great location — just a few minutes’ walk from the Blue Gate of the Medina. The area feels safe and quiet. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious and varied. Totally recommended!

Stayed 3 nights and only had one with hot water. Excellent location. Heating system was not very good. Lovely staff but put my “needs to be refrigerated” medicine in the freezer so I had to throw out $1000 worth of medicine. breakfast was quite nice.

Not up to 4 star rating. Many better Riads in the area. Not clean. Not much to eat for breakfast. We were asked to check out before 11am. No one helped to carry heavy luggage to go down from difficult stairs. Do not recommend this place.

What a delight it is to come through the narrow lanes of the Medina in Fez to arrive at this authentic and delightful riad. The beauty of the boutique Riad speaks for itself and the staff are just delightful. We stayed here for two nights as part of our tour of Morocco with Moroccan Guides who are also amazing if you want a private or small group tour of Morocco. We highly recommend this riad.

Things to like - location is close to petite taxi and near the top of the Medina which in Fes is important because it's built on a hill. The official guide recommended was decent but still took you to the rug shops etc even after saying no thanks. The manager is pretty good and helpful as is the night manager, but doesn't speak much English which wasn't an issue. The day person is less helpful. Laundry, was more expensive than in Europe, and they separated whites and charged for two loads, and they didn't come back very clean. They provided breakfast to go on the day we left early. We would say it's an average stay that's got a good location for easy in and out access. Didn't get a chance to try the pool, but the AC worked well. Note that all of the rooms have the bathrooms and the bedrooms on different floors within the same room. Ours had a low clearance door which I hit (6') maybe 5 out of 10 times, mostly at night. The bathrooms are decent. In Morocco, already remember to open the floor drain in the shower or it will fill up, which no one told us. The double beds are very firm. If you have the 3rd person bed is soft, because it's actually a couch.

Riad was very quaint, staff were really good and caring and ready to help. Breakfast options were not great but it was ok for us as we are poor eaters. Parking is not available onsite had to do street parking and paid 40dhs for 2 nights. When we went to check out we were told that stay has to be paid by cash and we didn’t plan for that so had to look for local ATMs to get the money to pay. Location of property is great as we could walk everywhere. I would highly recommend this place

This is the best Riyadh that I have been in over five visits to Morocco. The Riad has excellent staff who are genuinely interested that you have a good trip. The food is first class Moroccan ,prepared in a clean hygienic kitchen. so we had zero tummy bug anxiety. we highly recommend it and will visit again

We had the pleasure of staying in this Fiad this past weekend. It was advertised as a three bedroom deluxe suite. I was sharing it with friends. Once we arrived, we were told that that room was not available. They don’t have anything that is three bedrooms. We were a little off put because we had done a lot of research and looked at the pictures of the three bedroom suite. Myriam and staff, however, bent over backwards and was able to accommodate us into a different suite. They did not charge us extra and made sure our stay was comfortable. They also arranged a guide for us to see the Medina as well as a day trip the next day to, see Meknes and Volubilis. It’s a lovely property with an even more lovely staff.

Amazing riad with very cool owners. We arrived late and left after breakfast, but sure had a great experience. Rooms are very cool. Wonderful for families. Our family booked 4 rooms for 9 people but cold have used just 3. Breakfast was lovely in the gorgeous courtyard and there is a small pool (really for children). Wish we could have stayed two nights.

This is a charming, well-run family-style riad in central Fes. It is a must for anyone interested in Morocco's historic architecture, and as an architectural historian, I certainly appreciated the careful restoration and adaptation of an historic property to new uses. The accommodation was excellent and the service kind and attentive. All of Fes is at your doorstep!

We stayed as a family of 4 with a young child for 3 nights. The place is very authentic and clean. It is located very central in the old town and Medina, just a short walk to the Blue gates (Bab Boujloud). The staff are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They helped organise a local tour of Fez plus airport transfers. Pool is a little too cold for winter (it is not heated), but one not to miss is the top balcony, as it is very relaxing and provides a nice view of the city. Thoroughly recommended.

The riad is well-situated and clean, but a bit dated. No hose for toilet which is surprising for Morocco. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. Dinner also - much better than other roads around and they have wine.

Iman, who speaks English well, gave us a warm welcome the Friday night when we arrived. She was very helpful. Breakfast jams were very nice. We really appreciated the dipping pool on a 110 degree Fahrenheit afternoon, and the terrace is great for views and for drying bathing suits etc. Rooms and bathrooms are pleasant. Our only real issue was that because of miscommunication with another member of the staff, we could not get a late check out on our last day. Still all in all a very nice Riad! Thank you Iman!

An absolutely charming riad in Fes medina, not far from Batha Square. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helped arrange a morning tour around the city. Breakfasts were delicious. They were also very kind to my kids. From the riad it's less than 10 minutes to the Blue Gate and the heart of the medina, but it's also close enough to the medina's edge so you can easily get a taxi to and from the area. Overall I'd highly recommend staying here, particularly with family.

Amazing 700 year old Riad in the MĂŠdina close to the Blue Gate. Very attentive staff- not hard to find but they will guide you when you arrive. Breakfast served each morning and you can choose to have dinner as well ( we did not). They have red & rose wine by the bottle for purchase which is nice. Breathtaking architectural detail and atmosphere.

The riad was in a convenient location, just about 3 minutes walk to the main road. There were only 6 rooms in the riad so we felt that we’re staying at a private home rather than a hotel. The riad was beautifully decorated and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the riad the first night, it was one of the best meals we had in Morocco!

The building inside is absolutely gorgeous - perfectly restored with great attention to detail and no expense spared. Lovely cosy fireplace by which to sit and have meals in winter, upstairs rooftop terrace in summer. Large rooms all differently decorated in traditional style with fantastic tiled bathrooms. The staff can't do enough for you - very kind, friendly and attentive, willing to provide whatever you need at any time of day, or night! All up a wonderful experience of a top Riad. Thanks to all !

We had already stayed in two riads-- both (very) good-- in Marrakech and Rabat respectively. But Riad de le cle was truly outstanding, the best one yet. The location is perfect, both extremely quiet and only 100-200 meters from the center of the Medina. The Riad itself is beautiful-- four stories of ornate architecture and wonderfully decorated, comfortable, and spatious rooms. The view from the terrace is incredible. Finally, the food and the staff are top notch. Meriam and Mohammed in particular were always helpful with everything from finding a great place to eat to booking a tour to everyday comfort. A fantastic experience!
