The Menzah room was wonderful, 18ft ceilings, great decor and opened onto a terrace with wonderful views over the Medina and some of the walls. Very close to the markets in the Medina, with local shops and restaurants close by as well. Staff were very helpful and were very happy to help.
Cons: I found the short chairs uncomfortable so used normal height ones. The local cockerel was a little annoying at times

Beautiful riad, with great interior design. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Khalid and Hassan who worked in the reception were really nice, and gave our stay a personal touch with smalltalk about history and football. The Riad felt like a safe harbour, a home, where we could relax after a busy day in Fes. If we ever visit Fes again, we will come back to Riad Said. Thank you!

Ambience Riyad Said is a peaceful haven in the heart of Fes, beautifully decorated with mosaics and woodwork, and the rooftop views over the medina are unforgettable. Accommodation The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and full of authentic Moroccan charm, blending traditional style with modern comfort. Food Breakfast was fresh and generous, and dinner showcased rich Moroccan flavors, offering both homeliness and refinement. Service & Staff Friendliness The staff are warm, attentive, and professional, making guests feel truly welcome from start to finish. Special Mention – Khalid Khalid’s kindness and attentive personal service stood out—he made the stay feel unforgettable with his warmth and care.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Said! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the medina, making it easy to explore Fès’ vibrant streets. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—special thanks to Omar and Khalid, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They clearly take pride in their work. We stayed in the Green Room on the top floor, which was lovely. The climb up the stairs is steep, but the private balcony and amazing views made it worth it. The bed was comfortable, and the riad was very peaceful at night, allowing us to rest well. The team also helped us arrange a medina guide and a day trip to Volubilis and Meknes, which we highly recommend. Overall, a charming and memorable experience—would definitely stay again!

Really pretty property. Staff was super nice and helpful. Location was great and in the Medina but little to no crowds.
Cons: The ONLY issue I had with this property is the loud roosters next door which crow every 45 seconds, starting at 5 am till late afternoon. Made for a terrible nights sleep when you are traveling. Other than that the property is amazing and would highly reccomend IF the roosters are gone.

We enjoyed being close to the Blue Gate (a 5-10 minute walk away). Our suite on the top floor had a lovely private terrace and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a tiny room with a shower curtain on a wire for a door and a terrible sewer smell coming from the sink that filled the room. We had to sleep with the windows open for some fresh air. There is no elevator and 50 stairs to climb to our room which we didn’t mind but any with mobility issues would not be able to manage it. Getting up and down with luggage is also a challenge. We thought the private space & view over the Medina was worth it. Breakfast was very good and served on the lower terrace. Staff were kind and pleasant.

I stayed initially in suite Fadulla on the top of the towers but found the stairs too much. The room has its only private terrace with amazing views over the Old Medina Fez & beyond. It’s a perfect size for a solo traveller & the bathroom is part of the room rather than separate door. I moved to Suite Sofien and would recommend paying the extra for a larger room even as a solo. There were lots of options for outside sitting where you could have your breakfast. Warm fire at night and incredibly helpful staff.

The welcoming of the property managers Mohammed and Mahdi was out of this world. They were truly hospitable, always available and helpful with any request or questions. I would definitely go back there because of how they treated us. Those young men deserve a raise for how they manage the Riad and its guests.
Cons: The location is actually good but because we were a big group with a lot of bags, it was a bit of an inconvenience since cars cannot reach the exact location and you need to walk a bit through the alley way to reach it. My advice, either go light on the bags or make sure all your luggage has wheels. Still I would go again.

Very good location, nice breakfast and rooftop, very comfy beds, staff are really kind and let us stayed a bit longer at checkout to go to the airport in the afternoon.
Cons: The taxi transfer to the airport arranged by the Riad was late and in an old car with no air conditioning. The room for 4 was in the ground floor where the patio and the reception are, so when opening any window there is little privacy.

Staying at Riyad Said in Fes was an unforgettable experience for us as guests. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The riad's stunning architecture and meticulous attention to detail captivated us, offering a true taste of Moroccan luxury. Every corner of the riad revealed exquisite craftsmanship, from the vibrant Zellige tiles to the intricately carved woodwork. The ambiance was both opulent and inviting, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture woven into the walls of this magnificent building. The staff at Riyad Said went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Their genuine kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for. Especially Aziz and Momo!! Overall, our time at Riyad Said surpassed all expectations, leaving us with cherished memories and a longing to return. We wholeheartedly recommend Riyad Said to anyone seeking an exceptional experience in the heart of Fes.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Very clean and nicely decorated. The room had a small refrigerator which was good to have with the warm weather. Location is good. Short distance to the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) and the shops in the old medina. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty. We had reserved dinner only for the night of our arrival, but the dinner was so good we decided to have dinner at the Riad the remaining nights as well (instead of in town). Both of us had a Hamman and a massage. They were very good, but the massage was excellent. One of the best we have had. Staff members, Momo and Midi, were friendly, helpful, had a good sense of humor and made us feel at home. Would certainly recommend this place if you plan to go to Fez.

Beautifully designed Riad, lovely staff!! Miriam and MoMo were wonderful and very helpful and gracious. Malika gave an outstanding massage.
Cons: We stayed at the top room with a lovely terrace but the bathroom left something to be desired. It took a very long time to get hot water and the water sprayed everywhere so you’d have to move TP, towels, cosmetics everything out of the room for it to function. Be prepared for MANY, very steep stairs to get to this unit. (But we loved it and felt it was worth it!)

Wonderful staff and the food was amazing! Our apartment was on the top floor with a private rooftop patio and we were served breakfast and dinner there since my husband had injured his foot. The two gentleman from the Riad went out of their way to help and made sure we had an amazing stay.

Cons: The damp patches on the bedroom wall. The general lack of atmosphere. Soaked loungers on the terrace. Very poor/ non-existent wifi in the top floor room (a booster was installed - strong signal but very slow speed). The photos and comments do not do Riad Said justice. It is a beautiful and comfortable property that looks like it jumped out of a story book! Meryem and Mohammed are both fantastic hosts! Each went out of their way to make me feel welcome, pampered, and comfortable during my 6-night stay. I had very early check in and out and Mohammed was so kind to make sure I was received and made my way with snacks for a very early flight. I particularly enjoyed breakfast (they have the best orange juice and pancakes/donuts EVER!). I also had two dinner meals with salads and desert at the Riad. The meals were fresh, delicious, gourmet treats and a good value for the price. My whole stay was a great experience and a really good value for the price paid. I definitely recommend Riad Said and will stay again next time in Fes!
Cons: The beautiful tile floors were a little cold at times on naked feet- but there are electric heaters in the room to keep your toes nice and warm!

We stayed for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay at riad Said. Our room and private terrace were delightful and common terraces (3 levels) were really worth to spend time both at breakfast and afternoon, enjoying the serenity and views. We had all our dinners at the riad and was really worth it (delicious 3 courses meal at the beautiful and romantic central patio). We also had hammam at the riad and we really enjoyed both the lady’s service as well as the hammam traditional and luxurious decoration. The owner and the stuff were really hospitable, always with a smile and arranged all our needs.Location of the riad is also very convenient (walking to the souks and main sights of the Medina was easy and parking was also at about 150 meters away). We absolutely recommend it, as staying at places like this is a travel experience itself.

I splurged and wanted a special few days to rest and really enjoy Fes and a (4 star) Riad. We stayed in two small Riads in Marrachesh and loved them. Our experience in this Riad was so disappointing and was not the nature of this lovely country. Poor customer service and communication from the owner who lives in Switzerland. Do not do the cooking class here it is not a class but a stand and watch. Also know that one room is five flights up very narrow steep stairs. It does not list that on hotels.com. Staff should have seen our age and at least asked. They did agree to move us the second day but wanted an extra fee which I disagreed with and they conceded.

Love it. The Riad was beautiful and open. The staff was very nice and always gave you space to relax after a day in the medina. I will return to the same Riad.

First of all, it should be called Dar not Riad, as Riads usually contain gardens within. Second of all, there are no privacy, as the room's w.c. is located in the heart of the room without any doors.
