We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Al Badia. The Riad was super comfortable and stylish with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I think what really makes this Riad stand out is the staff. Abdul made us super welcome and was always there to help with any questions or requests. Also IIham & Asmaa made us one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had each day and were also super friendly. The hotel location was perfect for us, far enough away from the main areas but close enough to get there easily. The small pool and beautiful roof terrace were great places to relax after a log day sightseeing. I'd highly recommed staying in this Riad.

Abdul and his team at the hotel were amazing. From the moment you walk in to the hotel until the moment you leave you are treated with respect, attention and outstanding customer service. Their breakfast is amazing as well as the coffee and tea. There is a nice outdoor area on top of the hotel to relax and sip tea. We would recommend this place if you are planning to visit Marrakech. Main attractions are walking distance. We are a group of 4 Canadians adults travelling together. Definitely a gem in Marrakech. Thank you Abdul and team!

An amazing oasis close by to all the main tourist attractions. Everything was within walking distance. Staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful; provided lots of advice on what to see and how to get there. Property was very clean. The Riad arranged transfers to and from property. Both went smoothly. We ate in the Riad on our last night and it was by far the best meal we had the whole trip. Would highly recommend eating here.

We can heartily recommend Riad Al Badia. We received a warm welcome by all staff and were served a traditional sweet mint tea. Youssef insisted on carrying our heavy luggage up the stairs to our room (Nomade). He explained routes around the Medina and provided details of top sites and restaurants to suit all budgets. He advised us about how to keep safe and we did feel safe at all times, day and night, as we walked through the city. We ate at the riad on our first evening and the meal was delicious; perhaps the best we had during our time in Marrakech. Our room was on the small side (this is a traditional house not a chain hotel) yet it was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the separate shower room was clean and the water always hot. The air conditioning worked efficiently and quietly. Abdul, provided an excellent service, helpfully suggesting a residence where we could swim and relax for a day. The ladies who prepared breakfast and cleaned were very attentive to our needs and worked extremely hard. Breakfast consisted of fruit, yoghurt, preserves, breads and pastries, eggs and very good coffee! Gluten free bread was provided (I had emailed beforehand about this). Riad Al Badia is tastefully furnished throughout and there is a sun terrace where you can sunbathe if desired. It was quiet in the Riad and lovely to return there after our explorations of the city.

We visited Marrakech for 3 nights and stayed at Riad al Badia for the duration. I could not recommend this place highly enough, we were giving the most friendly welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Great value for money and about a 20 minute walk from the main square. Youssef gave us some really helpful advice about getting around, the night manager Abdul was also super friendly. The breakfast was amazing and filled us up for a day of exploring. The rooms were spotless so thank you to Asma and Elham. Please do not think twice about booking here, you will not regret it! We will be back :)

The accomodation was excellent, the staff was excellent, breakfast was very good. Youssef booked our excursions and an amazing Hammam experience (where the staff were treated well and they took amazing care of us - 4 hand massage recommended!). We also booked a dinner at the Riad. The lanb aubergine tajine was incredible (who knew I loved aggplant?). We walked everywhere. Wandering thru the markets on the way to Jemma al Fna was fascinating and an easy walk. Highly recommend!

Loved my stay at this property. Rooms are the cleanest I’ve experienced in Marrakech and staff is very friendly. I traveled for work and was able to use the WiFi. Traveling alone, I was able to walk around the area comfortably (made sure I’m back before 8PM). Food options are 5-10 min walk, also the riad provides delicious meal options.

This Riad is beautiful. The interior courtyard and rooftop are special. We had breakfast on the rooftop many mornings and dinner twice. The staff is lovely especially Abdel and Ilhan. The location is tucked away, once you get your bearings, you soon realize it’s easy to navigate. I would absolutely recommend the Riad Al Badia.

Amazing place—if in doubt do it!! We were traveling with our 1 year old baby and wanted a family friendly but quiet and very clean place. The interior is meticulously maintained—so much attention to detail. The whole property was spotless. Staff were very attentive and kind and great at anticipating our needs with the baby. Safe quiet place a little ways out of the Medina but it feels like an oasis and is very worth the stay.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was great, very helpful, and welcoming. My room was great and the riad was beautiful. You need to walk to get to the riad, about a minute from the nearest car-accessible street. On my arrival, my taxi driver had no idea where to drop me off so be prepared with that information. I had an early 7 AM flight and they arranged for a taxi to pick me up at 5 AM.

The most charming thing about this property was the friendly staff there, especially Youssef, who gave a very welcoming greeting to myself when I first arrived. The team was very attentive and friendly. Even though it’s my first time in Marrakesh, it’s made me feel like home. Since it’s not a big property, I like the fact that it’s quiet , peaceful and the place you want to go back to after all the craziness on the streets of Marrakesh. The room was very clean, although a bit noisy at night for me , perhaps because I was on the ground floor. I could hear guests coming in in the evening or noise at the backstreet behind the property. The other great thing about the property was that it served breakfast whenever you’re ready, you don’t need to rush, it’s perfect for holiday. I will come back again definitely!

We stayed in Marrakech for 9 nights and split our time between three Riads. Riad Al Badia was the best! We wished we had stayed there the entire time. The room was clean and beautiful, the food was the best we had in the city, and the service was absolutely 5 stars. The team there is amazing and we truly felt like we were able to relax and enjoy our time. We can’t wait to come back.

The staff were amazing, and there's clearly so much thought in everything they've done. the decor was calming and like something out of a Zara home lookbook - we were snapping photos for our design scrapbook. I've already recommended Riad Al Badia to my family and we will choose nowhere else on our next trip to Marrakech. 10/10

I cannot fault this Riad. The rooms are clean and charming, the cleaning staff do a wonderful job and the hosting is the best I've ever experienced. On arrival we were given so much help getting around Marrakech with tips about the best routes, sights and restaurants and our hosts were always so friendly and happy to chat with us when we got back for the evening. You have to try the food here at least once it was so lovely. Even the WiFi is good! A perfect little riad wallkng distance from the main market square but quiet and peaceful at night tucked away in the local residential streets.

This is a very well kept and beautiful traditional riad within walking distance to the main squares and markets. Each of the rooms has the name of a local palace and when you enter, they have the right size, natural light, are super clean and comfy. The breakfast was delicious, the right start for the day. For our last evening, we booked in advance, dinner at the hotel, this was a unique and exquisite experience. Lastly and for us the most important, the staff were very friendly and caring, specially Yousef, who made our stay unique, he gave us great indications and tips, organised excursions to the Atlas and was always available.

Aside from a mix up with the airport transfer when we landed, we had an excellent stay at Riad Al Badia. Youssef and his team were excellent hosts. Great location and value for money.

The staff was super friendly and treated my wife and I like family. They arranged transportation, day trips, a wonderful welcome dinner and scrumptious homemade breakfast every morning. Our room was cleaned daily and it was a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. We want to especially thank our wonderful hosts once again for a fantastic time in Marrakech and the surrounding areas. I also would like to thank Kareem who was provided by the Riad as our driver for our day trips. He was an absolute pleasure and made each trip special by going out of his way to have us experience Morocco at its heart.. I don’t believe we could have enjoyed our time without this amazing team. We will definitely be back, if nothing else than to visit our new family from Marrakech!

We booked this property for our first trip to Marrakech based on someone telling us that staying in a Riad was the way to go for first timers. The host maintained communication with us prior to our trip and arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which was convenient. We were picked up in a large comfortable van and brought to the location. We got out and had a walk to the actual property. We were a little taken aback by the location and we’re wary about staying there just because it didn’t look appealing from the street. Once we went in we were greeted by very hospitable ladies with tea. We arrived early and they were able to get us into our room within 30 minutes. Our entire trip they were extremely hospitable and told us how to get around and what to do while staying in Marrakech. I would totally recommend staying here, don’t let the outside fool you. It’s a short walk to the Medina and souks. Plenty of restaurant options close by.

Staff were very good, even though slight issues with language barrier. Property moderately clean but everything feels a touch unloved. Bed was comfortable, had air conditioning. Location was about 20 minutes to the main square. If you require a twin room youll be on top floor which is 34 steps to climb

This was my first visit to Marrakesh and I had no idea what to expect. The busy nature of Marrakesh hits you as you get out of the airport. When I arrived at the Riad Al Badia, which is only about 20mins from the airport, it was in a residential neighbourhood. I was not sure what to expect. The moment the door opened, I saw the beaming smile of Youssef, I knew this was going to be a great stay. My hotel room was on the top floor, terrace area. I fell in love with the whole concept of a Riad style place to stay. If I could, I would live in one! The Riad Al Badia is a charming place, very comfortable to stay. Nothing beats the warmth of the staff who were always so pleased to serve you. The location is so well placed for you to explore the souks and the main attraction of Jemma el-Fnna. There is a nice local shop as you make your way to the Riad, which sells water and a few essentials that you may want. The location is safe and convenient. The main thing to keep in mind is that this is a Riad, not a hotel. These are family homes that have been converted for tourists. Breakfast was fantastic. I left full every morning, not needing to eat until much later in the day. At the time of my stay, we had other guests from the USA, UK, France, China and Spain. When I get a chance to revisit Marrakesh, I will be staying here again.

This was a wonderful place to stay. You felt as though you were at a private villa and had your personal staff on hand for anything you wished. Youssef and the ladies were so helpful with every aspect of your stay. From the point you entered, you had hot tea poured and relaxed and enjoyed. You could have dinner prepared and the chef would go to the market and choose fresh vegetables to prepare. The meals were of the most highest of quality. Dinner was tasty and breakfast was very delicious as well. The rooms were quiet and beds super comfortable. The linens and bath towels were so soft and wonderful. Such a wonderful stay

Had the most wonderful stay at the Riad Al Badia. The staff were so helpful and emailed all the information on how to get to the Riad a few days before I arrived and even offered to collect us from the airport. When we arrived we were welcomed with tea before being shown to our room which was very comfortable and clean. The Riad it’s self is such an easy walk from the main market square and will only take you 15mins through the Jewish quarter where there are so many beautiful shops. Also if you wanted to go further out of it right near a small square where loads of taxis can be found. Would highly recommend this Riad and would definitely book again if I ever come back to Marrakesh.

All of the staff were very accommodating and more than happy to help with any questions or queries that we had during our stay.

I’d like to start by thanking Youseff and his team - they are incomparable. Great service. Youseff is a gem and he made sure we were well taken cared off the moment we stepped on to this Riad. Rooms were great, breakfast was sufficient and the place is just mesmerising. We had a bad start in this holiday as the driver we pre-booked did not arrive but Youseff and his team made up for it by going beyond, gave us a free ride back to the airport. Such a lovely gesture. Highly recommended!!!

The hotel is small and comfortable. It was hard to find in the middle of the night in the tiny alleys of old Marrakesh but the surprise in finding a beautifully decorated and very detailed room. With different colors to each room. The stuff was very friendly and accommodating. We had two rooms, one on the terrace and one on the first floor. both were excellent! Breakfast was very generous with much attention to details. with traditional morrocan mint tea and coffee and hot water pots. everything served to the table, with locally and fresh made pastries and bread, it was an amazing and pleasant breakfast experience with very friendly stuff. If we return to Marrakech, we will definitely return to this hotel! thank you!

The Riad was lovely, friendly staff who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast every day was lovely & great you didn’t have to stick to a certain time. The dinner was exceptional, if you get the chance have the fish- it was absolutely delicious. We had dinner three times & it really was gorgeous. We also took the tour which Joseph at the Riad organised to the The Atlas Mountains and Jamal was our guide, he also picked us up from the airport, you couldn’t have a calmer driver. The staff at the Riad couldn’t have been kinder. We won’t hesitate to come back.

WOW!! You do not need to read this review... just book it and go, you will not be disappointed!! Please trust me! 1,500 characters is not enough words to describe this place. As an avid traveller who has travelled the world, I strongly believe that my experience would not have been as good as it was if it was not for the wonderful Riad Al Badia. It is one of the best hotels I have ever been to, topping the likes of Marina Bay Sands. Impeccable service. My partner and I decided we wanted to try a new country that neither of us had been to. The hotel organised someone to pick us up from the airport. He was waiting for us and we went immediately to the car. He parked up and walked us through the busy medina to our Riad. We felt very safe. We were greeted by Youssef and team with fresh mint tea where he sat us down and went through the map of the city and the do/don'ts. The Riad was beautiful. The room was beautiful, and more specifically, the service was exceptional. Nothing was too big for the team. Breakfast was amazing - it was freshly made and every morning Youssef would explain each dish to us. Everytime we came back from a busy day out, the room had been cleaned and they went above and beyond. Every single person in the team had a smile on their face, and really made you feel like you were at your own home. I stayed here for 3 nights, and it genuinely felt like I was on holiday in my own home. I only have 60 characters left, which is a real shame, PLEASE BOOK HERE!

Before selecting to stay at Riad Al Badia, we also looked at other Riad's in Marrakech which were slightly cheaper although due to the glowing reviews, we made the decision to spend a little extra and book here. It absolutely did not disappoint, whilst the Riad itself is beautiful, Laurent and his staff were incredible throughout our stay, continually going above and beyond for us. On arrival, Laurent sat with us for 15-20 minutes, giving us a great overview of the local area, places he recommended that we visit and what to expect in and around Marrakech. This made us instantly feel at home. When we were looking to arrange a quad biking experience in the area, we needed to borrow a phone to book in advance and arrange pickup. When we asked at the Riad to borrow a phone to make a call, Laurent himself called on our behalf and made sure that the driver knew the best location to collect us. Prior to our final day, we asked about when check-out time at the property was and if we would be able to leave our luggage as we had an evening flight out of Marrakech. Instead, we were allowed to keep the room until our departure so that we had additional time to pack and shower before leaving. Overall, I do not think we could have had a better experience by staying anywhere else in Marrakech and I would love to return one day.

The riad itself only has 6 rooms which makes it all the more cosier. The staff were absolutely terrific throughout our stay. Laurent the manager could not do enough for us with help and hints of what to do - even warning us of the pitfalls as we were first time visitors. The food in the riad was also excellent as we ate there on the night of our arrival. Please don’t be put off by the approach to the riad down the little alleyways, once you get there you’ll absolutely love it. Cleanliness was excellent (I think the girls came in 3 times a day to tidy up!) If you want to see the real Marrakesh and stay in a nice little riad go here, you will not be disappointed.

Wow. Laurent sent me a message prior to my visit with details of how to get to the hotel - he arranged transport for me - and regarding the restaurant at the hotel. He was so welcoming on arrival, with refreshing mint tea, and a great explanation of the surrounding area, and how to find the local landmarks. The other staff are very friendly too. The food was *sensational*, but make sure that you’re hungry, as the portions are huge! The riad itself is on a very quiet side street. The interior is lovely, and has comfy chairs on the rooftop terrace if you want to chill out. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The communication before hand was excellent. We were greeted warmly with lots of useful information and genuine concern for anything we needed, even to the point Laurent went out with us to the streets around to orientate us and give us tips to being in Marrakesh. We felt like honoured family not paying guests. The breakfast were superb and the evening meal a real treat and culinary journey.

Our experience at this hotel surpassed our expectations. We had seen only good reviews about it but never did we think it would be that pleasant. Laurent went over and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. When we arrived, which was way earlier than our check-in time, he sat us down with tea and local sweets and told us everything we needed to know about Morroco and Marrakech. Our room was magnificent and all throughout our stay they made sure we were comfortable. Their breakfast is awesome and served at your convenience. Thank you Lauent and the Al Badia team for making our stay in Marrakech a memorable one!!!

This is a nice hotel and very unconventional. Likely meant to attract guests who really want traditional Moroccan lifestyle. It is always fully booked because it’s very famous even internationally. Living here is really living in a small Moroccan community where u have to pass through small alleyways. No wonder Riad Al Badia has been the Travellers’ Choice for 7 years (2013-2019). Additionally, its restaurant La Table du Al Badia was also awarded Certificates of Excellence in 2015 & 2016. Laurant, the Frenchman who runs the Riad, is so warm and very accommodating.

This Riad was a wonderful escape from the bustling medina, located within walking distance of Jemaa el-fnaa square and El Badi palace, Bahia Palace and Koutoubia mosque. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, it has air con and heating! The breakfast was really good and was served every morning whenever you liked. We had a different selection of pastries and Moroccan pancakes every morning which was even better as we got to try a lot of different local food freshly made in the morning. The staff are really friendly and helpful and Laurent made us feel so welcome as soon as we entered, helping us with locating all the main sites on a map as well as general advice about getting the best out of our trip in Marrakech, couldn’t fault at all! Would definitely recommend, only downside is the pool in the breakfast/reception area is more of a plunge pool and is indoors so if you want to tan and swim it seems you would have to go to a hotel further outside the Médina.

I cannot speak more highly of the Riad Al Badia. From the moment we where met at the airport to our wonderful welcome, each experience and staff was amazing and memorable. The welcome was warm and friendly, with complimentary mint tea and kind conversation regarding the Riad and the surrounding area. The room was on the top floor which was a little unexpected but wonderful non-the-less. The room was a cozy and a great testament to the flavor of Marrakech. I especially liked the attention to detail, with a nice size shower and beautifully presented amenities. The bed was comfortable and turned down each evening. And it turned out being at the top was a great place to enjoy the view from the balcony.

Calm, peaceful, beautiful property. The owner and staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable distance from all the major sites of interest, but just outside all the mayhem in the centre. Most enjoyable stay

Charming small hotel not too far from the main square. Very clean and comfortable room and delicious breakfast, but the real benefit of staying here is the incredibly warm and friendly vibes from the staff, particularly Laurent who went out of his way to make us feel at home, help us navigate some of the potential pitfalls of Marrakech as well as recommending certain activities and really made our holiday very special. Highly recommended!

AWESOME is the only word I can describe this Riad! Laurent and his team of "professional" hospitality service providers were wonderful the minute we were picked up from the airport to the minute we were dropped off at the train station heading to our next destination. In hind site, we should have ended our Morocco and Egypt trip with this Riad as everything went downhill after we left the Riad. Travalers who stay with Riad Al Badia will not be disappointed. When we visit Marrakesh again, we will definitely stay with this Riad. Many Thanks for taking care of us and a Very Warm New Year Laurent and Team! :)

Many thanks to Laurent and his team for making our stay a very memorable one. The morning after we checked-in Laurent took the time to describe the people and the vibe of the city and later walked with us to the main road not far from the riad just to give us a better sense of direction as we set out to explore the medina on our own. Located within the busy medina, the beautifully restored riad is really lovely and our room was cosy and very clean. Breakfast was always something special. We would definitely recommend having dinner Samira the chef cooked us a wonderful meal.

This was my second visit to Marrakech, so when I looked at location listing I thought the Riad was more central than it actually was. Laurent was very helpful in getting around and showing where to go. Unfortunately I had to cut my stay by half due to unwanted behaviour from the night manager. During the day the Riad was lovely, staff were so helpful and it was very peaceful. The room was clean, and always tidy. Our key was left in the room one night and after unwanted behaviour and attention from the night manager we left. We raised our concerns but felt that we couldn’t stay the rest and feel comfortable.

The stay at the Riad was excellent. The service outstanding, from check in to the time we left. Breakfast was excellent as the service was. WE were leaving early and they had breakfast served to us at 530am, then took us out through the neighbourhood to the taxi. Did not leave us until taxi drove away. Only issue we had was the neighbourhood, from the time we arrived trying to get into the riad we had two people harassing us requesting money for telling us where the riad was and then when my husband offered money to them it wasn't enough.....it was unnerving as we had to ring a bell to get into the riad and it took a couple of minutes for someone to let us in....but once inside it was amazing.

Impeccable and personal service at this cozy riad. The owner Laurent gave us personal service such as meeting our taxi, giving advice about getting around the medina, calling taxis and making reservations. Wonderful service from the whole staff. Best breakfasts in Morocco. The only downside is that is a bit of a walk to the center of the medina, but then it was much quieter and less busy.

Enjoyed the most wonderful holiday in Marrakech made all the better by our stay at this stunning Riad. Laurent and his staff are so kind, caring and thoughtful. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are frequently ensuring your stay at the Riad is of the utmost comfort. The hospitality and service is truly exceptional. Our bedroom was the 'Coral' and was beautifully and traditionally decorated, very quite, very dark and very comfortable. A fantastic touch was that breakfast was anytime, just whenever you decided to get up irrespective of the time. All in all a very enjoyable stay at this Riad, much much better than any standard hotel. We were treated like Royalty.

We had a wonderful stay so calm and relaxing After the hustle and bustle of the Médina. Our host Laurent and staff were so welcoming Nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and was served outside our room on the terrace. It was very intimate and personal so much better than a large 5 star hotel. We stayed 3 nights wish we had longer. Would definitely stay here when I return to Marrakech strongly recommend.

Had a fantastic stay in the Riad al Badia. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, organising trips to the Agafy desert, Atlas mountains and a guided tour around Marrakech. Breakfast on the roof terrace was delicious every morning. The riad was ideally located for exploring Marrakech.

From arrival and up until leaving Laurent and his staff made us very welcome and we felt very at home. Laurent helped us every step of the way, where to find the services we needed, tips on how to make the most of our stay, good places to visit and eat. Whatever we required he always made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. Neither of us had been to Morocco and Marrakech is a step into a very different culture, which is of course the joy of going there. Laurent provided us with all the information we needed to get around and cope with the manic local traffic and at the same time he has the knack of encouraging the exploration and enjoyment of the experience. The food at the Riad is excellent and at the end of the day your bed turned down. The Riad was spotlessly clean and the air conditioning welcomed. During our stay we wanted to relax by a pool away from the bustle of the town and Laurent arranged for us to spend a day at an excellent and very reasonably priced restaurant spa out of town. When our stay came to an end, we felt we were leaving friends.

The Riad is very pretty and well maintained, but is not in the best area of Marrakesh. It is far from the square and main attractions. The room was small but super clean and nice. The breakfast and serice was definitely superb, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Riad Al Badia for four nights in April 2018. What a wonderful experience. We have travelled all over the world in all classes of hotels and can’t think of a time when had a better host or service. The staff at the Riad are fantastic lead by Laurent, who is the most detail oriented, attentive manager and concierge you could ever want to meet. From the welcome drinks and treats, to the detailed tour, to the dinner reservations, tour arranging, taxis, even filling out our Morrocco departure cards for us, Laurent did it all. He was a fantastic, attentive and caring host. The Riad itself is very nice, we were in one of the two smaller rooms (there are 6 in total) on the top level. The bathroom is small but worked well for us, there is good access to a very nice roof terrace with sun loungers to escape the huddle and bustle of Marrakech for a few minutes. Breakfast was excellent, arrived fast and varied each day. There is wifi in the Riad, a little slow at times, but no different to any other we have found in Morocco. You can eat at the Riad in the evening if you book in advance. We did not do this, but I expect the food would be excellent. From start to finish we had a fantastic stay thanks in no small part to Laurent and his fantastic team. When we return to Marrakech we know exactly where we will be staying!

My son and I loved our stay at Riad Badia. You had all the comforts of a big hotel in a small hotel setting. The staff was amazing. Laurent took the time to show us everything such as calling cabs for us, making sure we were comfortable and explaining to us how Marrakech worked. Would highly recommend it to anyone!!!

I have to admit riad al badia is by far the best hotel we as a family have stayed. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Laurent and team took great care of us and went to great extend to plan the whole stay for us and take care of us. They organised dinner, horse, camel spa and quad bike ride and how to reach landmarks. They also organised airport dropoff and pickup. This was so reassuring as took out the worries in a new place. Breakfast was superb with new pasties and freshly prepared omlette and juice despite being handicapped as chef had an operation. For us the 4 days in marrakesh were the best part of our holiday, so relaxing. Location of hotel is perfect as its in the riad but is extremely quiet. Room service was perfect as every day bed was organised and towels changed. This is hospitality at its best and a picky critic as i cannot find fault. I have already recommended this hotel to a colleague of mine. Hope to see laurent and team again.
