Delightful and helpful staff. Large rooms that are comfortable and nicely decorated. Rooftop terrace comfortable and beautiful view. We enjoyed breakfast daily. We had dinner at the Riad one night and it was very good. We arranged several tours and transportation through the owner and were happy with the results. My only caveat,: This property is a Riad and that means you should be ready to climb stairs.

Very well appointed, modern rooms with good lighting and air conditioning. Very clean and close to the main Medina but just off the main street so it's quiet. Staff were nice and polite, Yassine also helped arrange a taxi for us to the airport. Good dining options not far from the hotel
Cons: We were asked to pay in cash in Dirhams as they were having trouble with their card machine connection. we've read this in other comments as well so it's an ongoing issue. They did tell us a day in advance but it can still be an issue for some people.

We moved from a different Riad as it was disappointingly bad and luckily La Maison Maure had availability. We absolutely loved staying there, it’s stunningly decorated, our room was beautifully comfy, warm (December in Morocco is very cold!), our bed was excellent and comfy and all staff were easygoing and so friendly. It felt like staying in a beautiful friend’s home. Their roof terrace was also exceptionally beautiful. Their location is perfect, in the part of the Medina that had cool cafes and restaurants nearby. Thank you for making our short stay so comfy and wonderful! We’d love to stay there again, we highly recommend it.
Cons: As we had to catch a flight early in the morning we didn’t have the chance to try their breakfast. Other Riads offer a “takeaway packed” breakfast, it would have been nice to have that for our journey.

Located in the medina, nevertheless quiet (only 5 min walk from parking). Rooftops give a nice view over the city fez. A bit difficult to find on your own (but locals will help for sure). Breakfast was made fresh and with local food. I missed a fresh sqeesed orange juice (but probably it wasn’t the season). Friendly staff.
Cons: Noth really something.

We wish we had more time! Breakfast: it was a perfect moroccan breakfast, just like I used to have at home. It had everything you'd eat in a moroccan home. Dinner: It was great! Especially the lamb, it was from another world! The dinner was great and the dessert was really refreshing (milk pastilla)! Host: Christian is an unbelievably warm host. Very kind and helpful. We chatted with him about his story in Morocco and the story of the Riad, it was so inspiring. He checked on us very regularly, making sure that we have everything we needed. Location: it's really very close to the "city", which means outside of the medina old town. The riad is around 5-6 minutes walkable distance from the entry of the medina. That meant that we were also able to go back to the riad on a Saturday night/Sunday morning at 5 am and it was totally fine. Merci beaucoup et à très bientôt!

We had an amazing experience at La Maison Maure, so much that we regretted not booking here in time when we had to spend another night in Fes. Christian is just amazing. You can tell he is a very happy host that is proud of his place. He goes out of the way to help guests and make sure you have a great time. You can have a very good conversation with him and he gives lots of tips. The place is in a great location within the Medina and very easy to find. The room is very spacious and there are many nice spaces within the building: a reading room, the dining room, the terraces. Definitely the place to stay in Fes Medina

The staff was kind and helpful in offering tours and dinner recommendations. Our suite has its own personal space/outdoor space to ensure privacy. Generally, the riad is close to the "main street" and shops (restaurants and souvenir shops)
Cons: The room was on the slightly more expensive end and the riad was a bit difficult to locate at first.

First impressions are everything and Christian-Stéphane made our stay a warm and very welcoming one! This accommodation stands out with it‘s beautifully unique fusion interior, which was obviously decorated with lots of love and detail. At any given moment it was obvious that this accommodation is run with great passion! We spent our Christmas Eve here and enjoyed a very lovely three course fusion meal in the riad‘s own restaurant (very recommendable). If you‘re from a western country, you‘ll feel at home here with ease, without missing the experience of the local touch, as the host is basically a local and has plenty of useful tipps for you. thank you for this wonderful experience!

La Maison is very well located in the medina. Close to a few nice restaurants which make it easy to walk home after your dinner. Also the owner is so cheerful and will give you good tips for things to do in Fes!
Cons: Only a few things need maintenance in the room and the sun beds on the 3rd terrace.

The Riad was amazing and so were the people. Very good hospitality. The Riad was an amazing mix of old style with modern additions like hot water and ac. Very spacious rooms. Check in and check out is very good. 30 sec walk to the Medina. Rooftop breakfast. Totally recommend this place.

The person who was available on WhatsApp. he was helpful and responsive. I never met him though but was kind to send me some information. There was a small dog who was probably the friendliest together with the very junior employee.
Cons: The atmosphere of the place feels like empty and not cozy. On day 1, we were 2 guests having breakfast. On day 2, it was just me. On Sunday morning, the staff was fighting in the kitchen, screaming out loud, doors being slammed and a woman was crying. I felt awful and uncomfortable. Horrible. As well upon checkout they tell me that they don’t take credit cards. Only cash. Why would you wait until you are picked and ready to go to tell you that ? I had to go and find the cash and bring it back. This is not the FinancialDistrict with ATMs everywhere. After telling them that, they got a porter to show me an ATM and I gave him the money.

Simply amazing! I could not imagine a better place to stay in Fes. The room, the food, the service - all exceeded my expectations. Christian, the owner, is very friendly and welcoming and I just wish we could have stayed a little longer. The riad is also located very conveniently close to the center of the medina, right off the main street and easy to find. It may be a little more expensive than other options, but it is definitely worth spending a little extra to get this experience. I would love to come back and stay again.

La Maison Maure is a boutique accommodation thoughtfully decorated in the middle of old Fes Medina. Each room has a unique character and charm with real art (Picasso included) adorning the walls. Modern touch throughout with glass and iron windows and door, which compliment the historical house very well. I was made to feel right at home from the moment I stepped into the door. Yasin, the manager, is extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to. Christian, the owner, made sure to call to ensure that I’m having a great stay. Highly recommend

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in the heart of Medina. Very updated and Clean room with great decor. Excellent view from the patio deck. Excellent food in the restaurant. Walkable. You may need help finding the Riad inside the Medina when you first arrive. Ask chop owners for directions. Our room was on the top floor with a great patio. Only improvement I can think of is to better sound insulate the open vent system to prevent hearing conversations of the two adjacent homes.

We had a very interesting experience at la Maison Maure. When we arrived owner was super friendly and gave us mint tea and had a general chat. There was no booklet or offers of tours or trips or nearby eateries. We asked all this to owner and he was very accommodating and we booked 2 trips that we wanted to do, city tour 400 dirham and day trip to Chefchaouen 1800 dirham and found out where to eat nearby. Most other accomodation have a booklet either near reception or in each room with tourist info. Being a typical Australian I told owner I like a cold refreshment when I get back to riad of an evening. Told of course, will have some waiting. After coming back from days outing, asked staff member for refreshment and he said riad is not allowed to give. He got owner and I was told there are police checks and drinking prohibited except in room. In future bought our own at Carfour supermarket 10 mins away, quite cheap too, 10diham a can. Why couldn’t owner of said that in first place if not allowed to sell. The rooms are spotless 10/10 but toilet off bedroom has no fan/ventilation, keep away from the tagine’s!! The small shower has no door/curtain can be awkward at times as we had our 18 year old staying with us. The terraces are by far the best thing we loved. Amazing views over Fez, there are 2 terraces and both incredible. Coffee mugs can be handy at times as no alcohol allowed on public display. Only other disappointment was very loud, people talking until 2am one night

Maison Maure is a fair stay in Fes during our four nights. The owner was super friendly and most of the staff are very accommodating as well. The room looks nice and all -- but unfortunately suffered from a strong sewage smell that lingered and the room gets super humid with shower as well. This made the smell a lot worse. The property was quite beautiful and well maintained with a great rooftop. Driss was a bit odd and I could not understand why I needed to pay some of the hotel fees in Dirham cash rather than just credit card. It just gave a bit of a poor taste at the end.

A set of keys including the room and the main entrance were given, no need to wake others up in case you come back late. The towels and fitting sheet need to be improved. It was pretty rough. Spacious room. Nice terrace and the staff will invite you to enjoy the breakfast there if the weather is good. Slightly off the main street, aka a good location but enjoying the serenity at the same.

Location in Medina was good although we were a bit Medina-d-out by this time since we had stayed in the Medina at Marrakesh. Make sure to contact hotel to arrange taxi if you arrive late at night since there is a walk. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast served on the terrace is lovely and the service is outstanding. We especially like our young waiter who gave us great recommendations and went out of his way to help.

My boyfriend and I had a perfect stay at La Maison Maure. Driss, the manager of the hotel, is very friendly and helpful, he speaks very good English, and upgraded our room for no extra cost. We used the hotel's airport shuttle service which was good, he even waited an hour for us to get through passport control despite not having any contact with us, and he took us right to the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and in a good location, with breakfast provided. The wifi was also good and the view from the balcony is great. Definitely recommend this hotel, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again.

La Maison Maure is truly an escape in the middle of the Medina. The owner, Christian and Manager, Driss along with the other staff are excellent. They were happy to help us book a guided tour of the Medina, celebrate our engagement over a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant and book transportation for our very early departing flight. The room and property are exactly as pictured. The location is perfect - about a 10 minute walk from the famous blue gate. While, it is tucked away in one of the many alleys of the Medina once you walk through the wooden doors of La Maison you enter a clean, friendly and aesthetically pleasing refuge. I would stay here again and recommend this property to future travelers looking for a great location and comfort.

La Maison Maure is really a gem in Fez! The place is not only tastefully decorated, but also well-maintained. We loved especially the large rooms and good quality beddings and linens, which were freshly laundered. The owner of the riad welcomed us personally even though we checked in late after being caught in a snow storm, and he was very generous in ensuring we were always comfortable. The riad boasts a roof-top terrace that gives you a great view of Fez, and breakfast was a generous spread. WIFI was great too - one of the best in Morocco! We booked dinner in the riad too and it was really nice! Overall, a memorable stay and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Fez!

Superb stay on many levels. Our host, Driss, called us the day prior to arrival to greet us and explain nearby parking. Greeting us on arrival, he treated us like family. He arranged for a wonderful guide to take us though the medina and nearby sites for our second day. The room was lovely, spacious, with very comfortable sleeping and good wifi. Super breakfast. Roof top terrace with great views. Strategic location. Would highly recommend.

La maison Maure is a gorgeous riad hidden in a calm area of Fes medina. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff are really welcoming and friendly yet professional. If you are interested in going for and excursion around Fes, they can provide an excellent driver. In search for a nice place to eat or drink? They know some really good place around town. I would recommend for anyone looking for a charming and welcoming place to stay in Fes medina. Oh and the breakfasts are just the best we had in our trip across Morocco! Delicious

Caught a taxi outside railroad station. He dumped me in the Medina. 3 sweet boys walked me around for an hour. I then went to ask at official looking places. No one knew where the place was. I then was besieged by several tough characters demanding that I let them guide me. One took me in circles and demanded 20 Euros. I hoped a taxi out and fled for the train station and checked into the ibis hotel. Much cheaper than Maison la Maure Tried to call Maure several times and phone number was not working.
