Very slow service. Staff not helpful. Not friendly. No towels available. Housekeeping service the worst. Overall the worst experience I've ever had in hotel stays. They made me wait 2 to 3 hours to get towels. I got my towels around 9pm instead of in the morning like most hotels. The elevator doesn't work properly. This hotel is rated 4 stars ut should rated -1 star

Absolutely disgraceful service once again throughout and even though I felt they deserved a second chance last time I will never return. Staff are rude, incapable of managing services and simply are not interested. A complaint will cause an uncomfortable argument. Breakfast is chaos, with children running riot and staff incapable of dealing with requests. Often you cannot find cutlery, or glasses and tables are generally dirty although there is staff available. The pool is an absolute nightmare, overcrowded with very loud music and the small small as if it were in an amusement park. I understand that mainly the hotel is frequented by Moroccan families and culturally they find things acceptable that Europeans don't but the price is exhobitant and much more is expected.

Very convenient for the beach, port and centre of town. Its a pity that people can smoke in the foyer and bars in the hotel. This meant you could not enjoy those areas if you are a non smoker.

My husband and I actually couldn’t wait for our stay at the Kenzi particularly for its close location to the beach, but by the second day, we couldn’t wait to leave! The hotel is old and tired! While we stayed in a duplex, hoping to give us more space, the furniture was scratched up and dirty. I didn’t even want to sit on the couch. We ran out of water every day in the bathroom for whatever reason (I thought it might’ve been related to the construction on the bottom floor), and there was always a huge puddle of water after taking a shower because the tub is not properly sealed around the glass. The outlets next to the beds also were not working, making it very inconvenient to charge phones etc. It’s a smoking hotel also!! While the website says it has “designated” smoking areas, the lobby seems to be one of those areas, much to our dismay!!! Had we known that, we would’ve stayed somewhere else. We also opted for the daily breakfast, and we would’ve been better off getting food at the very closest cafes. The breakfast areas were not clean, and the food was quite mediocre at best. The only good thing was the bed, which was firm to our liking, but it was only a queen sized bed when the reservation website called it a king. We will definitely be staying elsewhere when we’re back in Tangiers.

Clean basic room with plenty of space. Hotel is undergoing some renovations with several areas including pool not available at time of stay. Food in bar was good however many good restaurants near by as well. Close to ferry terminal and train station. Good for a couple of nights.

First we surprised that tha amount of money on website is different which is we paid more than what the offer was . Zero service no kettle in the room and when we ask for hot water they bring it very late and cold no cover . Room always no cleaning probably, no changing the sheets even we ask every day but when we coming back to the hotel we didn’t find nothing we stayed 7 nights only twice. Very noisy at night. Not worth the money only good location that’s it .

We were staying at this hotel to visit our son who is a student in Tangier. The hotel was well maintained with a 1980s old money vibe. It was clean and convenient. We had to ask for toilet paper and towels as they were not replaced after housekeeping cleaned. It was strange to us not to have a fan in the bathroom or screens on the windows but that is an American expectation. The breakfast buffet was huge, but the staff had a hard time keeping up with replenishing the food and silverware after the daily tour busses left. The restaurant staff were friendly, but the front desk left much to be desired. They were not rude just barely spoke.

I booked this hotel for use of the gym and the spa. As it is Ramadan these were closed but they were advertised as available at the time of booking. The room was ok id say it is more a 3 star hotel and definitely not 4.5!! The bar staff were inattentive and dismissive spending more time on their phones than customer service! The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful when I asked about the gym they opened it with a security guard observing us to which we left. The gym equipment was also very poor no free weights and some machines not working. I asked to speak to the manager but he didn’t work weekends and there was no one else in charge. We had booked 3 nights but only stayed 2!

Nice hotel, convenient location in the new part of town. Lovely beach across the street. Make sure you book a room with sea view. You will not be disappointed. You can even see the Spanish coastline (Tenerife) in the distance from your room. Too bad the hotel pool wasn’t open. I was there in January and had the pool been open, cleaned and heated I would have definitely used it. But I understand that it was winter temperatures in Morocco. For me as a Canadian it was like Spring.

The hotel is in a good location. Lots and f restaurants and a beautiful beach. The breakfast buffet is very good. The bad is that they didn’t have air conditioning. We were told to just open the window which would be fine if the cars didn’t honk their horns all night. It made sleeping very uncomfortable.

Pros. Some rooms have an ocean view. It is not too far from the old Medina and the tapas bar downstairs was okay. Cons. Very rundown property far beyond its heyday. The reception foyer makes you think the hotel will be okay, but the rooms are in a state of disrepair and neglect. The 3 staff did not offer any assistance at the front when we arrived with all our luggage and maintained a rude attitude our whole stay, likely the worst we have experienced. They would stand in the doorways (one of which is broken and permanently closed), not greet or acknowledge us and block entry making you walk around them. Mostly on their phones. I asked for an umbrella during the heavy rain, they pointed to the two avaialble and barked "thats for the carpark" and I asked for the second one to which he barked louder "broken!" Checkin took 25 minutes. 3 staff members in the office area on their computers and phones watching one girl check in the whole line of people. First room on 2nd floor, the AC did not work and the thermostat had an additional switch added to turn it off and on but still didnt work. The room smelled like food and cigarettes, however the overall condition was reasonable. The front desks response was the hotel was full untill we said it smelled like rotten food and suddenly a new room was available on the 7th floor. 2nd room was worse with holes in the walls and graffiti engraved in the bathroom. Would not recommend. More to say but have run out of characters allowed.

Disinterested staff to a man and women. Paying guests are an inconvenience that disturb their day. They don't allow the A/C to be turned on until its 'summer'. I was there in June and the temperature was in the 30s . The water wasn't running in my bathroom. I was told to wait in my room as Maintenance are only allowed in when the guest is present. He arrived in half an hour without his tools . Told me he was just going to get them and never came back! Receptions only comment was would you like a different room! Breakfast was dreadful so only went twice (in 9 days). Restaurant food was very hit or miss. The pool area allows outside guest to play their own sound systems so that a relaxing Sunday became Battle of the Bands! The place is obviously just for people on tours staying one night and moving on.

The hotel location is phenomenal! Everything within walking distance! Beach ofcourse as it's beachfront lol restaurants supermarket. Train station red bus stop ...and it is VERY safe all day / night ! The hotell staff are very nice and polite, especially this guy named Redouane at the reception, he patiently helped fix my messed up booking i made in expedia also this girl Hanaa at the breakfast buffet , she was very sweet and fast responder when i asked for silverware...The only thing I would like management to consider is that our suite didn't have lock from inside wich made me feel bit uncomfortable leaving my teenage daughter alone to go get breakfast as she doesn't eat breakfast , I'm a travler and that is the first time where a hotel room doesn't have locks inside, even though it's very safe area / city but it doesn't hurt to have that Tangier is a beautiful city to visit ! Shokran Redouane & Hanaa , will definitely go back one day .

Moualooakil for helping me print my tour bus tickets Thursday night. We had trouble printing and he was very kind to print from his phone number for me. He went above and beyond fo make it happen. Thank you. Breakfast was good and I was able to use pool and gym without any problems.

We asked how much for transportation to airport, been told 100 MAD, arrived at airport , driver demanding 200 MAD (we toke airport to hotel normal airport taxi which charged us 150 MAD and we thought we got robbed)

The area is in a great location but those rooms are terrible and nothing like in the photos. I booked the hotel thinking I was gonna spend a great vacation in a nice place but reality was nothing even close to that. The room was so outdated, very dirty and old . Ants were everywhere, and good luck sleeping at night from people’s noise . Even the a/c fan was squeaking and the room was about to breakdown . I really wouldn’t go there anymore.

Hotel location is right on the beach. The hotel offers good breakfast buffet though the timing is inconvenient between 6 and 9. Perhaps, the most annoying thing is their unreliable WiFi being very slow and occasionally disconnects and wouldn't let you sign back in automatically. The WiFi is only OK in the lobby. We had complained about the WiFi, the refrigerator, the AC, and some noise coming from the ceiling but only the refrigerator issue was fixed. Just frustrated and disappointed.

L'hotel est bien situé, just en face de la corniche. Les chambre avec vue sur mer sont sympa. Par contre, la qualité de la chambre, et le buffet cette année s'est beaucoup dégradée malheureusement. J'ai été en 2018, c'était très bien. A part cela mon séjour s'est bien passé. Tanger est une tres belle ville. A ne pas manquer!

Check in was horrible. Was given a room that stinks . I bought a room with sea view I got a room with wall view. After my first complaint I was given a room with sea be view but the AC was not working the fridge was not working . The phone was not working . The TV screen is too small . The channels list is meh .After my second complaint I was given a third room where the AC was barely working . Very noisy . I was in sweat all night it was so hot . The single blanket given is for cold winter night not for a summer mid July . People smoking in the lobby , in the restaurant even on the floors. They have ash trays in the rooms.Really? The swimming pool is disgusting Water is brown And they charge $120 a night . Spare yourself headaches. Don't buy !!!!

Only one thing I liked was the view from the end of corridor it was onto the beach every thing else was very bad the hotel was rated as a 4* it was no more than a 2* As you walked into the building everything you looked at was in need of replacement (tiles,carpet,windows,furniture and bathroom were all needed replacing) the food was terrible cold and inedible also it had a night club as part of the building that started at 23.30 and went on until 04:00 at full volume As you can see from this I would advise everyone looking at this hotel never to book into it

The hotel is across the beach, nice view, the lobby and dining area are beatiful, the breakfast is big lots of variety and is awesome, food is delicious😁😁The staff is nice . Though the hotel is quite run down despite of some renoes in the washrooms, newer TVs, tiled flooing; but the carpets are extremely old, everything looks very cheap, no tissues in the room, beddings ate cheap and not comfortable.

Although I cant fault majority of the staff at Kenzi Solazur, there was one individual who left a particularly bad taste with us. After shinning my 87 year old grandma mother to one side, this person then decided to try it with me. He called himself Ridwan, although probably a fake name so il describe him. Slick backed hair, glasses, looks like he enjoys the smell of his own waste, that type of thing. Incredibly rude and dissmisive seeing as we had to check back in after having our flights cancelled. I think customer service training is definitely required for some staff, as I believe this individual is ruining it for the rest of the hotel

Very dated. My room had insulation coming out of door frame. Entry of hotel does not represent rooms. Staff is friendly! Gym is a mess equipment wise. In 3.5 days the empty water bottle in gym was never replaced.

Check in was very quick and professional. Staff is friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good (improved since last year), rooms are spacious and clean. It is clear that this hotel does an effort in making sure things run smoothly, thank you! Hotel is right in front of the beach, so very well located

It's close to the beach, but it's noisy (cars honking all night long), the staff are rude, there was no air conditioning, thetub/shower leaked, the floor was filthy, the drapes were faded with cigarette holes

We arrived in the middle of a tour checking in, so it was a bit chaotic. Valet was prompt and helpful. We were first checked into the wrong room and had to show that we had booked a larger room. Facilities are a bit dated--although comfortable. The restaurant staff and service was wonderful.
