Really beautiful inner courtyard and the room was really nicely decorated, with large tiled shower. Had a good massage and hamman which was good value. Location is great for Fez, on outskirts of old town but on edge so can take vehicular transport to very close by, don't have to walk much. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was not very interesting, would be nice to have fruit and more choice.

This is a beautiful and very comfortable riad in the lower part of the Fes medina. Whether you think its location is excellent or otherwise will depend on what you are looking for, but for me, it was perfect. The staff were really lovely and very helpful, as well as accommodating. They changed my room without question when I said I didn't think I could manage the steep stairs. (Thank you). My room and bed were functional, comfortable, and also aestheticly pleasing. Good strength hot water and plenty of it in a spacious bathroom. The common areas are lovely places to while away time on a rest day or in the afternoons after a busy day sightseeing. The small pool was a delight (although cold). Dinners were very yummy.
Cons: Not really a criticism, more a personal preference, the breakfast was very bread oriented (following local custom?) but I would have preferred some fruit and yoghurt. I didn't ask, and that is my problem.

The Riad Attarine was comfortable and the staff friendly and very helpful. It was well located on the edge of the Medina but close to the hustle and bustle of the market and to key attractions. Dinner of an evening was such a joyful addition to be enjoyed.

Fantastic road, furnished in traditional style. Large bedroom, plus roof terrace and small sitting room with wood burning stove. Delicious three course dinner available to order - more interesting than most standard menus. And the best bit was the hammam and massage - great experience, don't miss it! Thanks to the staff (and the cat!) for such a warm welcome and making us feel so at home. We hope to come back.

Beautiful accommodation right in the Medina, so a brilliant location for exploring. All the staff were fantastic and went over and above to make our stay exceptional - we can't thank them all enough, they are all lovely! The room was perfect, the breakfast delicious, the cat and tortoise adorable, the pool refreshing, the decor enchanting, and the staff awesome.
Cons: That we had to leave

Fantastic old Riad turned into hotel. Right at the edge of the medina, what makes it very easy to get there. Rooms were outstanding, full of character. Staff very friendly, excellent breakfast and please try the hammam scrub treatment!

Lovely, well maintained Riad with 9 rooms, having a nice inner court in which the restaurant is situated. The room is of sufficient size, well equipped and maintained. The bathroom is with a shower cabin. Room and bathroom were impeccable clean. I had an excellent three course diner in the hotel restaurant, all freshly prepared, although I was the only guest eating in the hotel. It was one of the best meals I had during my two months stay in Morocco. The staff and the owner are most helpful and attentive. Easily accessible in 5 minutes walk from the taxi stand. The main entrance gate to the Medina is in 10-15 minutes walking distance,
Cons: Few things that do not spoil the overall excellent impression. The excessively steep stairs to the rooms. The double bed in Paprika room that is on one side directly adjoining the wall, which is not ideal for double use.

The Riad felt like home from the second we stepped in (but much more beautiful). The running water and light, airy main area are so pleasant to sit in, even the cat Tresor is always relaxed there. It is so tranquil, calming and clean. We were so well looked after and fed delicious and extremely substantial meals for breakfast and for dinner when we ate there. Our room was really spacious, and the bathroom also. Every day the room was cleaned and towels and bedsheets always refreshed, shampoo and body lotion replenished. Anything we needed was quickly seen to by the staff, Khadija especially, who became like our family. She made our stay and our visit to Fez so incredible. The Hammam is excellent, highly recommend, and make sure you get a massage also. It was amazing. We met the owner a few times in the evenings and she was extremely pleasant to talk to and always made sure we were happy. We cannot wait to go back to Riad Attarine some day.
Cons: Our air conditioning did not work in the room, but we still slept fine with our bathroom window and door open to let in a breeze.

The most beautiful staff, accomodation and atmosphere! Hospitable, generous and kind service from ALL staff, that really goes above and beyond anything we have had before! Special thanks to Khadija who spoke English, and went out of her way to help us- even on her day off. Nothing was too much trouble for the ladies here. Please book!! You absolutely will not be disappointed. Everything is perfect.

Beautiful, traditional riad close to the heart of Fes (but also close to parking!), with warm and hospitable managers! The courtyard is lovely and they care for a cat and a tortoise there which made my husband and I so happy and feel right at home. We were greeted with tea and cookies, and breakfast was also very good. Would absolutely recommend. Thank you to everyone at Riad Attarine for a great stay!!

The place was awesome!! It is authentic, beautiful and well equipped. It is in a great location and very clean. The breakfast was very good and tasty and we could choose the time so it was really convenient. But the main benefit is the amazing hospitality. The owner and her staff were awesome , very welcoming and super helpful. We loved the place! We will definitely come back again.
Cons: I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like.

We liked everything! The Riad and the room were really beautiful, the owners and the staff, specially Hadija, did everything to make our stay as best as possible. The breakfast was big and delicious. We also really enjoyed the company of the cat Tresor that lives in the Riad, he really made us feel like at home. The location was perfect since it's not directly in the medina. You can even experience a traditional hammam right in the Riad.
Cons: Saying goodbye to Tresor

The host was super friendly. The breakfast also very nicely prepared. The hosts were always open to answer our questions.
Cons: We had booked a tour with a guide to show us the city. We know that the accommodation only makes the call to the tourism agency but the tour guide mentioned that he had been the guide to many tours from our Riad. We did not speak French and the hosts knew this from the beginning but the tour guides English was not very good so we had a lot of trouble to enjoy the tour. On top of that, he did not want to walk and kept pushing us to take a taxi everywhere and he mainly showed us the shopping locations and markets to buy clothing, which we were not interested in. We wanted to learn about the culture and were not lazy to walk at all. This may be a good opportunity for the hosts to feedback to the tourism agency.

Super verblijf gehad.

Loved staying at Riad Attarine, although bit tricky to find (but what isn't in Fez...). Staff was lovely, amazing and charming cook (had my best tagines there and bessara = bean soup there), owner is very helpful as well and they have a really friendly cat and turtle.

Riad close to the Medina / old part of town. Host was very welcoming. Note that the tea / coffee / biscuits / shisha on offer all come at a price. Do not engage people in the street falsely telling you the road ahead is closed or approaching with any pretence of altruism or interest. It always ends with them wanting a tip.
