Hotel is located near busy street, I liked that this hotel was lively, a lot of guests on site. Neighborhood is safe as all Morocco. Room was clean and bed comfy. I was positively impressed by price/quality ratio. Breakfast was good, I'd say - their standard. Perfect place to stay overnight, would stay again if needed.

Cons: Hair dryer was not present and bath gel missing, only soap present. Poor sound isolation as almost everywhere in Morocco. I could hear early guests leaving, but I assume they didn't realize they could be heard. Otherwise all was fine.

Per non parlare della posizione che è sulla strada principale e le finestre/muri non insonorizzano nulla, senti tutti i camion, macchine ecc. PESSIMO!!

La chambre était propre mais pas de couverture j’ai eu froid la nuit en plus on m’a mis un drap avec des déchirure de partout ! J’étais descendu à 6h45 pour prendre le petit dej et là grosse surprise le réceptionniste qui m’informe que le petit dej commence à 7h30 !!!pour un hôtel qui se situe à coter de l’aéroport ! The room and bathroom were clean, which was appreciated. The bedding was fresh, and the overall ambiance of the room was quite decent for the price. Housekeeping did a good job maintaining cleanliness throughout our stay.

Cons: Unfortunately, there were several downsides to our stay. The biggest challenge was the language barrier—none of the staff spoke English, which made even basic communication quite difficult. They were also not very accommodating. Despite having a child with us, we were given a room on the top floor, and there was no lift. There was no help offered with our luggage either, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was no intercom or phone in the room. For every small need, we had to walk down three floors to the reception, which was quite inconvenient. The AC remote was also not provided in the room and had to be collected separately from the reception—something that should have been standard. Another downside was the lack of basic toiletries. While the bathroom was clean, there was no shampoo or shower gel provided, which is generally expected in hotels of this category.

The hotel is a walking distance from the airport- I walked both ways. The staff are really hospitable offering hot strong black tea or arrival at the reception. Breakfast is served morocco style. There is a money exchange shop -open including saturdays - on the main street as you walk towards the public transport station. From the public transport station, I was able to hire and pay for all seats for shared taxi to Aït Benhaddou. Public shared taxis to city centre available at hotels doorstep. I was able to find eateries on the main street.

Cons: Internet is slow in the city and as such slow at the hotel too.

The staff is very nice and the hotel clean. It’s a good place if you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for one night.

Cons: We found it extremely loud, so had trouble sleeping at night. The whole house is poorly insulated, so we could hear the busy road and every door that was closed, sounded like it was slammed close. This continued throughout the night unfortunately.

The location by the bus ststion & taxis was perfect for me. I called them for booking and Aziza, the recetionist, was so sweet and easily reserved me a room with private bath, which all rooms have). Staff members were so welcoming Youseff and Mohamed kept guests satisfied with delicious breakfast, fresh orange juice, great coffee or tea, indoor and outdoor patio. Ibrahim and 2 other efficient, hard working staffers maintained other needs to keep hotel running smoothly, rooms upkept & comfy, and cleaning of all common areas, stairs, handrails, floors immaculate everyday.

Cons: The breakfast was not as good as in other places we stayed, however it was from 7 to 11 which we found great. Also the window from our room didn't silence the street very well, at night there was a bit noisy.

The place was perfect for my purposes as I was travelling by car and exploring the region: the hotel is at the crossroad for most destinations. Staff was friendly though didn't have much interaction with them. The place is quiet (but then so is all Ouarzazate). Parking was easy as there was a demolition site across the road... that might change though. Street parking would be possible.

This is a really basic no-nonsense hotel that's well kept, clean, and has friendly staff. The rooms were very clean but lacked anything more than a simple chair (just one) a table, and a bed but that is what you pay for. The location is great, only about a 20 minute walk to the main square of the city, and even closer to some local restaurants. This isn't Marrakech though so you'll need to walk a ways away or take a cab if you want to see anything other than neighbourhood streets. The breakfast was also very good for the value and considering it is just downstairs within the property it is worth it. There was a bit of a language barrier with the check-in staff but they were very friendly and helpful and it all worked out in the end.

Cons: For what you pay for there isn't much more to expect. The soap in the washroom comes in the form of tiny packets that you need to tear open, and it would have been more convenient if it were just bottles of liquid soap. The rooms lack a bit of space to store luggage and sit down - there really isn't any where except the lobby to be able to sit other than your bed and the single chair in your room.

The hotel staff is very nice. Ibraim from the reception is very helpful, the boys from the bar are also very nice and helpful as well. If someone doesn't like stairs, take the 1st floor. Hotel 2 km from the airport. A taxi costs 5 euros. Overall very nice people. A different atmosphere in the city than in Marakesh, more freedom, no one is imposing.

Stayed with a large group as we were doing a charity trek in the desert and hotel marmar was our first nights accommodation we booked. Excellent accommodation. Staff were great, facilities wonderful and worked really well for us. Large communal space’s indoor and outdoor for us to gather and do briefing and organise. Breakfast was really good. Cons: - Every night there was random, very loud music coming from somewhere. We had no idea where it was coming from, but VERY annoying if you wanted to relax. Started at 17:00 and lasted till 21:00 or so. - Breakfast could take very long. Also there was confusion about my wife's diet (gluten intolerance), even though they said they could accommodate. - Bathroom has no ventilation other than the door. - the hotel has a sitting area on the first floor. When people sit there, sounds echo up the walls through your windows. It is not nice when you take a rest during the heat of the day. - Parking is a bit random. They opened up the parking lot across the street so you'll park on gravel. There will also be a guy asking money for the 'night watch'. We didn't pay him because the hotel has free parking. But it is annoying.

The best thing is the exceptional staff: great team and very welcoming and friendly. They will go out of their way to help you. Hotel is good. Very convenient. Close to the airport but you cannot hear any aeroplanes taking off our landing.

Cons: The only thing i would say is bring your earbuds if you're a light sleeper since the hotel is on a corner and on a main road so traffic noise can be a problem sometimes... but you can request a room around the back.

It was very busy in Ouarzazate and there were limited hotel rooms so I booked the Hotel Marmar and hoped for the best. I needn't have worried. I felt perfectly safe in the area. The room was large, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. The room was clean. It was perfectly functional. Once I had my bearings, I walked to and from the hotel with no problems. The coffee in the cafe was lovely and strong. The staff helped me with maps and a very early checkout. They were lovely to me as a solo, female traveller.

Cons: Water in the room would have been welcome. It was very warm and a drink would have been lovely. It was noisy with the window open at night! The decor was a little dark and dated in the room but I did nothing but sleep in there so it really didn't matter.

Shower was excellent, hot consistent water with great water pressure. AC was strong. The staff was friendly and helped to make us comfortable during our stay. Classic Moroccan hospitality. Functional stay, got place for a stopover. There is a cafe on the first floor and breakfast was bread, a pancake-like thing, yogurt, hard boiled egg, freshly squeezed OJ and choice of either latte or mint tea. Plenty of free parking in the lot across from the hotel.

Cons: There is no separate shower stall or curtain so the water gets everywhere. There's also no closet, just small shelves so we have to use our luggage on the floor, not good for elderly or pregnant people. Hotel is on a busy main street but traffic died down at late hours. Coarse rough towels. Tiny bar of soap, no other amenities. Price was expensive for what you get compared to other hotels of the same price range. No elevator for three flights but staff can help with luggage.

A very kind host, very helpful for everything I asked for. The owner was so kind and offered me the room from the courtyard, because I asked for a quiet one. Definitely a good balance value for money. The common areas are looking more than 2 stars from my perspective,, clean and cozy decorated, very luminous ones. The room itself is enough equipped for the level of the hotel. The bathroom is modest, but cannot asking for more at this point, of course not high end design. The location is good, walking distance for the market and the other interests points in Ouerzazate. Overall a good choice, I would probably choose it again.

This hotel is to be recommended. It is clean and the towels and beds/bed linen fresh and of quality. Although “only” a 2* hotel, our stay was pleasant. The en suite bathroom was spacious and again clean and fresh. Upstairs there are lounge areas for relaxation. Amazingly the breakfast was included in the room price and it was the usual “full works” that certainly set us up for the day. We’d certainly use this hotel again.

She went above and beyond with all of our requests and even gave us some recommendations about some places to visit and restaurants. I would choose this one everytime.

Cons: I had quite a big misunderstanding with the booking department before departure: after I was promised I would pay in cash in dirhams upon check-in, my credit card was instead charged in Euros (with extremely high fees, causing me a lot of problems). I would have wished for more honest communication, not least because when I contacted them for explanations they ignored dozens of emails and when they eventually replied, they were very rude. However, they apologised when I checked in. The shower didn't have a curtain and it was impossible to shower without flooding the whole bathroom. The rooms were big, comfortable and very clean. Towels and soap were provided. The long-haired lady at the reception was extremely professional and spoke great English and French. A hairdryer is available upon request. The location is nice and quiet, just 15min walking from the main square.

Cons: The shower didn't have a curtain and it was impossible to shower without flooding the whole bathroom. Communication with the young guy at the reception wasn't easy. Breakfast staff were quite slow and they made us pay an additional coffee we ordered during breakfast.

We have chosen Hotel Marmar because it's located nearby the main bus station. Friendly reception staff, clean spacious room with AC, hot water all the time, and a nice cafe on the ground floor - all that tired traveller needs before continuing the journey through Morocco.

Oh man this hotel has completely surpassed my expectations! It was one of the best place I stayed in through out this trip, price and comfort wise. The receptionists Rajat and Ibrahim were the best. Not only I will definitely stay there any time I am in Ouarzazate, I will also recommend it to everyone going to Ouarzazate. They are the best.

Cons: I hope the owner was a bit engaging .... to make the guess feels a bit welcomed.

We stayed a couple of nights here in February 2020, having spent a coup,e of nights out in the mountain villages we wanted to be in town and experience a bit of the city. It is in walking distance to the town centre and close to the airport. The room was lovely and clean, comfortable and with a clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good for a couple of euros extra. The staff were all really helpful and kind. It is slightly noisy at night as the road is busy but I think you would get this anywhere in town and we wanted to experience a bit of the bustle of the city so this was to be expected. Otherwise all was very good.

At the end of November you should pay for heating, I had booked a room without and it was chilly. My friend had a room facing the street and got all the sunlight during the day, so her room was much warmer. You get what you pay for... Otherwise the room was good and clean, hot water in the basic bathroom. Breakfast was very good and the location convenient being close to the bus station from where you can also catch a grand taxi to Marrakech. Not too far to walk to the center and even to the Kasbah Tafarnout.

Close to "gare routière", I found this local hotel to be extremely clean, comfortable beds, excellent showers, and friendly welcome. Authentic hotel, Moroccan style, not yet discovered by main stream tourism. Breakfast is served both inside and outside on the terrace. Excellent place to meet some locals before they go to work.

The hotel staff make all the difference in the world when it comes to one’s impression of a hotel. The hotel was just average: clean, comfortable bed, lots of parking available. But the concierge went out of his way in telling me where to go sightseeing and where to have dinner. Upon arrival, he offered mint tea while I waited to check in. I had a long 9 hour drive after I checked out and he even looked at my route to make sure I was ok. I can’t say the same about the alternate concierge though when he’s off.

The only bad experience i have had in morocco so far! Arrived Ouarzazate at around 9pm, we thought we would go to the hotel directly and check the condition first, the reception who i think was the son of the owner gave us 4 different prices which were higher than booking.com (with/without heater and with/without breakfast), and wanted to confuse us that those were lower than booking.com. Anyway i told him we’d do the booking thru booking.com right away so we could rate our stay later, this horrible person told us he would cancel our booking and he had the right to do it. So i asked if he was being such a mean person and forced us to pay the price he wanted, he said YES. I told him i’d rather sleep on the street than being bullied like that. Moreover i wouldnt feel safe to stay in a place run by such a horrible person. Anyway he said if we refused to pay the price he wanted, then we needed to get out. I told him i would write him a very nice review and then he thrilled us that he would call the police and he had cctv as evidence. I wonder what police could help him with us just standing there being bullied. Anyway we found another very nice place to stay later, lower price with heater, extremely good service and location, honest people who would even take us to local place for dinner later. In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here but any other hotel.

Great service and an welcome with open arms. The rooms are very clean and luxurious. Nice bathroom and hot water to shower. For a small extra fee you can have a room with an airco or, as I did, ask for a fan you can use. There is always at the reception so you can always reach someone.

I made a reservation for two rooms with a/c for 5 people. When I arrived, no reservation, no rooms with a/c. They convince me to take another rooms and untill that was ok. The problem was the rooms was poor, no a/c, dirty, noisy and MORE EXPENSIVE than I booked. I didnt realized first and I took coz I had no other places to go, but then they start to charge even more: some touristic tax around 2.5EUR per person per day. Incredible how can they try to grab tourists. If you are not marocain, dont go there. Its a trap!! PS: the breakfast is poor and old food

It's an adult hostel with perfectly acceptable fittings. There is an additional charge for A/C, and you will have to ask for additional supplies. The hotel is on a busy traffic corner, so we experienced traffic noise all night. Local downtown is less than 1/2 mile away. Tourist Reas are further.

A nice quiet little town where the locals are less hostile than Fez and such.. a good bouncing spot for the studio and ait ben haddou.. this hotel had nice large rooms.. very clean.. modern and very large bathroom.. we were a bit surprised after some of the places we have stayed in within the last 2 weeks.. book it.

It only took my wife and I only a 5-min walk from where the Supratour bus stop in Ourzazate, along the main street fro Marrakech. We were delighted by the courteous staff when we checked-in. The Marmar Hotel staff was very helpful with our baggage up to the 3rd floor - we thank you for that! Overall the Hotel Marmar was clean and well maintained. The surrounding was relatively quiet. Could see the Atlas mountain from our room. Close to and easy to find sundry shops and food - Tajine and Couscous! We love the tajine at the shop just across the road where the Supratour bus stop is.

This hotel was quite a surprise... We had come from Marrakech and were expecting a bad hotel like the one we had there, but Marmar was clean spacious with good beds and nicely heated. The staff was friendly, the wifi worked, the water was warm... Nothing to say, a very nice stay in Ouarzazate.

Nice, clean, comfortable. About 20min walk to the center for restaurants. Tasty breakfast. Noisy though - we were lucky to have been there when it was quiet because we could hear all the noises from our neighbors. This was the only place in Morocco we stayed at that had a shower with loads of hot water and a working drain. Note that the car rental company associated with the hotel quoted us a much higher price than they should have; we rented from a small company instead (same insurance and everything - we asked about all the fine print).

After my initial arrival in Marrakech and some time getting acclimated to the exciting country of Morocco, I realized that it was time for the obligatory visit to the desert and camel ride. I took a bus over the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, and spent three days exploring the film industry there and in the historic walled ksar of Aït Ben Haddou (Lawerence of Arabia and Gladiator, for example). Hotel Marmar provided a very comfortable and place to stay, and a good base for my exploration. The location is excellent, just a few blocks from the Supratours Bus Office and the main taxi stand for both Grand and Petit Taxis. I also enjoyed grilled kabobs at locals joint of El Bahja (and made a cat very full and happy). Another night I feasted on Chevreau M’Kalli, soupe glacée aux concmbres and tarte citron at Le Relais de Saint-Exupery, and investigated the memorabilia of the author of The Little Prince, including a photograph of the author with his Caudron Simoun, a 1930’s French four-seat touring monoplane, at the Ouarzazate Airport.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Hotel Marmar. Eigentlich ist das Hotel ok, wenn man davon absieht, dass es kleine Klimaanlage in den Zimmern gibt und wenn man das Fenster öffnet, es extrem laut ist weil das Hotel an einer Kreuzung einer Hauptstrasse liegt. Zudem war während unseres Besuches eine Schulklasse da, die bis 2 Uhr Party machten und der Portier aber nichts wegen dem Lärm sagen wollte. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Frühstück war ok.

Hotel Marmar is extremely clean, comfortable and has a great location, just on the edge of the town centre so it is easy to walk everywhere yet still quiet and peaceful for a great nights sleep. The hotel is quite new and facilities are all in excellent condition, the shower hot and powerful, beds and bedding fresh and comfortable, rooms surprising large. The included breakfast is served in the cafe downstairs that belongs to the hotel, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt, cheese, jam, croissants or pain au chocolate, fresh bread and probably the best coffee I had in Morocco were an enjoyable treat. The cafe is busy with locals relaxing most of the day so you know it is good and very reasonably priced, I much prefer this than being in a tourist only environment. We checked a couple of other hotels nearby and we couldn’t find anything as nice as Hotel Marmar, it was also about half the price of the other places too! The receptionist Fatima was always very friendly and gave great advice about nearby places to eat and day trips. Mint tea was available all the time. We were lucky enough to meet the hotel manager who was a very kind, genuine, modest man. He is a local with plenty of good advice and who even gave us some very special treats, extremely generous. We had a wonderful stay!

Hotel manager upgraded us for free to a larger room than we had booked to accommodate our two small kids. The hotel was very clean and easy to find (although not particularly near anything). The parking was in a bumpy gravel lot across the street, which did not seem so secure, but worked out fine. Breakfast was great...more than what we expected for the price. Overall, the hotel was a very good value for how little we paid.
