Cons: מיקום לא טוב , מבודד ולכל דבר צריך לקחת מונית. בתוך המלון הכל יקר- כביסה , אוכל , שתיה . הזמנו 2 חדרים עם דלת מקשרת למשפחה עם ילדים , ונאמר לנו שאין אבל שהחדרים יהיו סמוכים זה לזה. כשהגענו למלון גילינו שלא רק שהחדרים לא קרובים אלא הם בבנינים נפרדים!!! הילדים הלכו לאיבוד כשרצו לבוא אלינו, הפקידת קבלה היתה מאוד לא נעימה ולא הסכימה לתת שום פתרון. לא פיצו אותנו על עוגמת הנפש אפילו לא בכוס קפה למרות שהיה כתוב בהזמנה בפירוש גילאי היילדים ובקשה שהחדרים יהיו קרובים אחד לשני. עלות המלון היתה גבוהה ביחס לתמורה ומעולם לא קיבלנו כזה שירות ברשת מריוט. לא נחזור לשם .

We are a family of 6 (including a grandfather and two children) and paid a premium price, but the hotel failed on almost every level: 1. Room Discrepancy: We booked two identical rooms with twin beds. Instead, we received one room with a double bed, completely ignoring our reservation contract. 2. Terrible Location & Noise: Our rooms were placed at the absolute farthest point of the hotel, making it exhausting to reach the pools, dining room, or beach. The walls are paper-thin—we heard our neighbors showering and talking. Moreover, there is active construction noise right outside our rooms. 3. Lack of Transparency: The hotel hid crucial information prior to our arrival. Half of the dining room is under renovation, and the beach is unsafe for swimming due to jellyfish. Had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. 4. Poor Maintenance & Housekeeping: The main pool was extremely dirty (filled with leaves, sand, and hair). Guests were smoking right by the pool despite "No Smoking" signs, and the staff did absolutely nothing to enforce the rules. Furthermore, room cleaning happens at an unreasonable hour (around 17:00), ruining our daily schedule. 5. Unhelpful Solutions: When we asked to change our rooms due to the wrong beds and terrible location, the staff’s only solution was for us to pack up immediately, leave our bags in storage, and wait an unknown amount of time for non-adjacent rooms. As a returning customer to this hotel chain, this experience completely broke my trust. High price, zero value, and terrible managemen

Thailand and Phuket Marriott Merlin Beach gave us abundance: abundance in experiences, in turquoise waters, delightful fruits and kind people who were always ready to help. Among these we would like to highlight Tuk and Blue. The stay was absolutely relaxing and we can recommend witnessing the lush nature during the rainy season. Everything is green and blossoming and the rain is warm and gone in a little while. Snorkeling in the local reef was a highlight.

Kids enjoyed the kids club and activities eg cookie decorating, foam party etc. 24 hour good gym and extra classes like Muay Thai. It’s also nice how it’s near patong, but not in patong. Only downside is the 7-11 is a little far for some to walk. But use ‘grab’ and get around.

My husband and I, had the most incredible stay at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations and made for a truly unforgettable holiday. We were made to feel genuinely welcome, and the exceptional service continued throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless and had plenty of glass bottles of water on our arrival and throughout our stay. Our maid was called Vieng and she truly kept the room to a very high standard and made little animals from towels. She did this every day and it was so exciting to see what the next animal would be. Thank you Vieng. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with immaculate grounds and stunning tropical gardens that create such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Every part of the property is exceptionally well maintained, making it a pleasure to explore and unwind. The gardeners worked tirelessly to ensure the gardens were impeccable. It was a pleasure to see everyday. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, with an excellent variety of delicious dishes across the different restaurants. All staff welcomed us with a beautiful smile, were so attentive and ensured we were well looked after. We ate in different restaurants in the evening and every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The chefs went beyond our expectations to create mouthwatering menus and there was a vast selection to choose from. The cocktails/drinks menus were equally impressive—expertly crafted, refreshing, and the perfect accompaniment to relax by the beach or enjoying the evening surroundings at the Lounge Bar. What can I say about the Marriott at Merlin Beach? My husband and I stayed there during the second half of our honeymoon - gorgeous! The swim up bar was fun, the restaurants were yummy, and the private beach was gorgeous. Most of our time there, there were man-o-wars infesting the waters (obviously no fault of the resort!) but we still enjoyed the beach. Golf, Pream, and Jib were an amazing team together! They made our honeymoon dinner so beautiful. A special decorated table, yummy food, constant awareness of our needs, and a surprise (delicious cheesecake) made for us. Our last night, we were served by Mika and their team. They decorated a private table for us and treated us like VIPs. It was a beautiful way to end the honeymoon. Should we return to Phuket we will be back!

Their common spaces are not airconditioned and dining in air conditioned restaurant could be adventurous to say the least. If they applied seatings could be easier than having people dine at 40 degrees and empty tables inside waiting for “bookings”

The resort itself is beautiful, with a peaceful private beach, lush tropical surroundings, and impeccably maintained facilities. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, taking a walk along the beach, or simply enjoying the stunning views, every part of the property reflects the high standards Marriott is known for. A special mention must go to Chef Nathi Lal Dimri, who truly made our stay even more memorable. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests were exceptional. He went out of his way to ensure we had delicious vegetarian meals and personally checked that everything was prepared to our liking. Cons: חדר קטן, המיטות הזוגיות שלהן קטנות. הסתדרנו אבל מבחינת נוחות החדרים זה המלון שדווקא הציע הכי פחות ביחס ליוקרה שלו וביחס למלונות אחרים בתאילנד בסדר גודל דומה של ריזורטים 5 כוכבים. במחיר שישלמנו בכל מקום נתנו חדר כפול עם דלת מקשרת. מלון יקר מאוד ביחס לאחרים אבל שווה את החוויה. המיקום לא במרכז הפטונג - יש כ 10 דק' נסיעה. לא היה לנו נורא בכלל. דווקא הערכנו בסוף שאנחנו לא בתוך ההמולה. ועוד דבר נוסף - החוף לא היה נקי בכלל, היה מצופה מהמלון שידאג שהחוף לא יהיה מלוכלך בשקיות, בקבוקים וכדומה. הוא מהמם במראה שלו אך לא נקי.

The exceptional part is service from all the staff from check-in, to kids room, to staff in restaurants that we visited - Merchant Kitchen, Beach Grill and Chang Thai - they are all great - friendly and professional and efficient. The female manager of Beach Grill is a good example of friendly and professional management team too. We had a wonderful stay be because of this group of great hotel staff - thank you!

We had a great stay overall and really enjoyed the hotel. The private beach was beautiful, and the kids loved spending time in the pools. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The spa was excellent—I had a massage, and it was one of the highlights of my stay.
Cons: The only area for improvement is the breakfast. It would be nice to have more variety, as the menu was almost the same every day. Since many guests are from the Arab region, adding more Arabic and Mediterranean breakfast options would also be appreciated. The breakfast restaurant could also benefit from a refresh.

Removed from the grim reality of Phuket and Patong. Good base as most tours would pick up from the Patong Area. Lovely setting and lots of choice at restaurants. Pools were large and did not feel crowded. Pool bar and Rum shack were also lovely to chill out at.
Cons: The beach was not somewhere you could swim due to the coral. Also the coral has been destroyed and is genuinely very sad. There was no snorkelling available during our stay and they currently advise against going in the water due to Portuguese Man of War.

We stayed for 2 weeks in January as a family of 3, we had the best time and absolutely loved this hotel (my son still talks about it daily) The hotel itself, is large and clean. The service we experienced for our entire stay was excellent. We ate at all the restaurants, the food was amazing the Thai restaurant was exceptional. We found Patti to be so helpful. My son adored the kids club and the staff. The entertainment at the hotel was really good, especially the Muay Thai boxing evening, We had a great stay here and would recommend this to any families looking for a relaxing, fun stay.

Amazing experience at this resort. The staff were so friendly, helpful and always had a smile. The pools and common areas always clean, the rooms are a little bit outdated but always cleaned up well and taken care of (Rose was great). I traveled with a 9yo and 4yo The kids club had ps5 which was good for my son for the times we needed a break, and my 4yo was looked after so well and had plenty of activities and things for her to do. It could be expanded a little bit as it's small, but the staff and activities make up for lack of space. Rainy was so kind, and the other staff Ann, Tan, Alice, Jinny, Army. Thank you to all the staff at the resort.

Had a fabulous time at this resort. Great location, about 10mins away from patong beach. Well spread out, always hustling and bustling with people and activities. It is a great place for kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the water slides with our child. They have kids activities daily at the kids club and a foam party in the pool every evening. They even gave us sand toys and kids toiletries. Service at merchant kitchen, rum shack and Chang Thai was good. Disappointing service at the lounge bar. They were visibly upset with us since we went there at 11.30pm and their last order was at 12am. Seemed like they didn’t want to serve us and raised petty issues about Pepsi being used only as a mixer and we’re not allowed to drink it or share it as is despite ordering with liquor. Quite disappointing coming from Marriott. One last thing - being charged for a cup of milk for my child in room service. We’ve travelled quite extensively and stayed at multiple properties including Marriott ones with our child and this is the first hotel to charge us for a cup of plain milk for our child (4 years old). They charged us 117baht. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend to families with kids.

Oh my goodness, this Resort was amazing!!! My partner and I enjoyed the all inclusive. The food and drink were phenomenal. The only complaint we have was that we ate and drank too much (next time we will try and show some restraint. The staff that work at the Marriott RResort are first class. We felt so welcomed by them all and they made our stay wonderful. I'm sorry for not being able to remember everyone's all the names of the staff that were so accommodating, but here are the names that I can remember: Mook, Fa, Kik, Pingpong, Smile, Nina, Big, Man, Palmy, Ton, Tanny,Emily. Resort facilities are fantastic, and has it's own little private beach. 2 massage places on sites that are not affiliated with the Resort- cheap, and well worth it. The hotel is very family-friendly and accommodating. The kids had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. However, the breakfast experience was disappointing. Aside from the limited and average selection of food, the service was not up to the standard we expected. In particular, a staff member named Pingaping was not welcoming and made us feel rushed to finish our meal and leave the table. We were also asked to sit at separate tables, which was inconvenient for our family. Overall, while the hotel was excellent for families and children, the breakfast service needs significant improvement.

This was our second time staying at Phuket Marriott Merlin Beach, and this time we came with the whole family. It was such a pleasant stay, and we are already looking forward to our next visit! One of the biggest highlights was our experience at Chang Thai, the Thai restaurant. The food was exceptionally awesome. The yellow curry crab is one of our absolute favorites and a must-try. We also loved the lamb shank, slipper lobster, and morning glory — everything was so delicious. It was also so nice to see Jib again. A big thank you to the wonderful team who took such great care of us: GOLF, NA, JIB, and PREAM. Their warm and attentive service made our meals even more special. The Japanese restaurant next door was also excellent, and the poolside service was great as well. Overall, this was a very memorable family holiday with amazing food, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy everything at Marriott Merlin beach. We can’t wait to come back again!

We were truly touched by the outstanding service and hospitality. The resort is extremely kid-friendly, and every staff member was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive to our child. We usually stay at Marriott properties, and this was the most welcoming and memorable experience we have had among all the Marriott hotels and resorts we have visited. The resort is set in a beautiful, secluded location with a wonderful snorkeling beach right on its doorstep. Was not my first time here. As usual hospitality was great. Mook, Kik, Pingping, Fa, Gift, Bam, Giftzy, Pat, Omelette and Pookie gave us a great breakfast service every morning. Attention was prompt. Alice, Oaky, Rainy and Sun were great with my kids at Kids Club. Very patient and they looked forward to Board Games every night! Lastly the F&B director (forgot his Russian Name) was sensitive to our request. My kids love the amenties in the room and we asked if we can purchase it, hearing this, he gave housekeeping a call and pass the amenities to us just before we board the cab to the airport. Such a wonderful gesture that i appreciate from a hotelier of this reputation as I also come from a service industry. My trip this time was surprisingly better than the first! When you stay at a big resort in a place overrun with tourists, it is unrealistic to expect perfection. Moving large volumes of guests in and out of the resort while maintaining the rooms and facilities is a challenge. The management seems to have found a winning formula that accomplishes this. The resort is 26 years old, taken over and renovated by Marriott 10 years ago. Nothing in the resort gives away its age except for maybe the swimming pools but they were kept immaculately clean and my guess is they will be renovated soon. Every single staff member we encountered from Cindy at check in, to Oatmilk at check out, greeted us with big, genuine smiles and did everything possible to be friendly and helpful. As a Platinum Elite, we were upgraded to a larger room with a nice view, given free breakfast for 2 each day and given a 10% discount on other food and spa services. Also sweet treats, a passport cover, a scarf and an eye mask were waiting in the room with a note thanking me for my loyalty. The room had super comfortable beds, a balcony, a tea kettle, robes, slippers and flip flops (a very nice touch for a resort). The bathroom had a rainforest shower, a separate free standing tub, a bidet and a drawer filled with toiletries and bath salts. Housekeeping was excellent and consistent. Each of our 3 days, the room was made up while we ate breakfast with the same meticulous detail each day. We experienced each of the 4 restaurant venues and the ice cream parlor. We enjoyed some of the food while felt a little disappointed by some. As a rule, local dishes were very good. Things we are accustomed to at home were not very good. This is not a big surprise and did not affect enjoyment of our holiday. We saw an advertisement for a couples massage and decided to take advantage on a rainy day. We made it clear we were there for the couples massage they advertised. They gave us several options for the massage. We both enjoyed it but afterward were a little shocked to find the bill double what was advertised. When I questioned it, I was told that the advertised special was only good for one of the options but we chose a different one. This left me with a feeling they were being dishonest and they should have communicated this before we began. In spite of a couple of disappointments, we overall had a wonderful, relaxing stay and give them 5 stars for the many more positives than negatives.

This place never disappoints! We initially stayed in a near by resort as Merlin beach had no availability. As soon as we could we moved resorts as this is by far the best Marriott in Phuket in our opinion. The staff never fail to disappoint us. Nina - MJ and Hana to name but a few. What made our experience truly special was the outstanding service provided by Avm and Oatmilk. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 AM, much earlier than the standard check-in time. Oatmilk was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us with an early check-in. He also kindly arranged a room with a beautiful view of both the ocean and the swimming pool, which was a wonderful surprise. This was my second stay at the Marriott Merlin Beach and loved it. Many of the staff make your stay enjoyable. Mook, Ferny,Kwan’z and Palmy all with their beautiful smiles and ever willing to help. There are too many people to name and I couldn’t remember them all. Marriott should be proud of their staff. I hope to be back in the near future.

Our room was spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of four (2 adults and 2 children) with two double beds. The highlight of our stay was the family pool area with the water slides, which our children absolutely loved and spent hours enjoying. Breakfast at the beachfront restaurant was excellent, offering a great variety of options in a fantastic setting overlooking the beach. A special thank you to Mook, who took exceptional care of our family each morning and always made sure everything we needed was brought to our table. Her kindness and attention to detail made breakfast even more enjoyable. Overall, the staff throughout the resort were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We arrived at the resort early and were warmly guided to the check-in counter. The front desk staff (Oatmilk), took care of us and provided exceptional service. He was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain all the resort facilities. As it was my birthday, he kindly upgraded our room to a Pool Access Room, which was a wonderful surprise. He also gave my son a welcome goodie bag, which made him very happy. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The pool was large, well maintained, and featured a fun water slide for kids. We loved that the resort had direct access to Merlin Beach without needing to leave the property. The complimentary shuttle service to the shopping mall and town area was also very convenient. The resort offered a variety of activities throughout the day for children and teenagers, making the stay even more enjoyable and meaningful for families. I honestly don't understand the 5 star reviews, I would give it a 3 star at best. Given it is rainy season the hotel is flooded with flies, it really is quite disgusting. I appreciate that this is an issue due to rainy season, however, the hotel needs to address this as it is impossible to eat anywhere without being over run with flies. Not only eating, but even the gym is consumed by flys, its really offputting. Fly's aside (which the hotel really needs to address), the overall property is large. Breakfast is served in the main buffet restaurant and in the beach grill restaurant. I tried both. The one in the main buffet is a shambles, crowded, poor service, flies everywhere. The one in the beach grill is a bit better but with a smaller selection. Check in was a good experience, probably because I am a Marriot platinum elite I got a better service. I can't fault the front desk staff they were exceptional. The starbucks is semi-decent, although takes ages to get a cappucino and even then mine was cold so I asked them to make it ''extra hot''. The Italian restaurant is amazing and the best one out of the lot, great service and great food. The Thai restaurant was also a very good standard. Lobby lounge for me personally had terrible service. In the hotel's defense, given the weather is really bad, everyone is inside, so I think the hotel is just really busy and struggling to handle food/drink orders. Housekeeping was ropey, they made the bed and cleared the towels from the bathroom, but left other things like empty coffee cups, or the blanket my daughter used for a makeshift bed. Kids enjoyed kids club, and the pools are really good and I imagine when the weather is better the pools would be amazing. Overall I don't think I would stay here again.

We were here for 7 nights as a family of 4 (5&6 yo) we had the all inclusive and breakfast buffet included for all of us (paid additional for the kiddos at the hotel) and was absolutely amazing the food, the drinks, everything, all the staff were so kind and accommodating, as we had a room with 2 doubles the kids started fighting on night 2 so we got a rollaway and it honestly saved our sanity and the holiday as a whole, every night we are somewhere different, the 3 pools got a visit daily as did the kids club, the kids fell in love with all the staff and was the most wonderful and relaxing holiday, we took the shuttle into Patong a couple times but honestly only stayed for an hour then back to the serenity of the resort, we wanted something away from the chaos and to be able to spend time together and that’s exactly what we got, we watched the hermit crabs on the beach, explored the reef, drank smoothies and coffee by the pool, would I come back, 100%

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The secluded and private area was very nice. It’s not in the crowded Patong beach area, so expect to pay $200-300 baht and a 12-minute drive back and forth. The hotel was right on the beach and had a very nice view. The pool was always kept clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: When we arrived, we had a room right outside the kids' pool area. It was very noisy, so we asked for a room change to another part of the hotel. The breakfast was okay. It was pretty expensive, and the food wasn't the greatest. The laundry is super overpriced. They charge per clothing item between $100-450 baht. Plan to do laundry before your stay or do it somewhere else. On our last day there was a cockroach in our shower.

Cons: One of the biggest issues was dining. Although the hotel presents itself as having several restaurants, in practice only one or two seem to be open at certain hours, which leaves guests with very limited options. On the first day, at around 5:30 PM, I went to the Thai restaurant while a friend was visiting me before his flight. I was told the indoor tables were unavailable because of reservations starting at 6:00 PM, and I was asked to sit outside in extremely hot weather. The problem was that there was not a single occupied table inside at that time. I explained that my friend had a flight and that we would finish quickly and leave within 30 minutes. Only after insisting was I allowed to sit inside, and even then I was told quite bluntly that I had to leave within 30 minutes. In the end, even at 6:00 PM, the expected crowd never arrived. The next day, I tried the Italian restaurant and was again asked to sit outside because the indoor area had supposedly been given to a group. What made this even more frustrating was that there were no real alternatives, since the other restaurants were closed at that time. When only one or two restaurants are open, telling guests to eat outside in 35–40°C heat is simply not acceptable. The room was another major disappointment. There was an interior connecting door inside the room, and despite the hotel being presented as sound-insulated, I could hear noise from the next room for hours. The hotel also feels quite old overall, with low ceilings and outdated interiors. To be fair, the pool staff were kind, helpful, and pleasant. However, I cannot say the same for the rest of the experience. There may have been some communication issues in English, and I want to be fair about that, but at several moments I felt spoken to in a way that came across as dismissive or humiliating. Overall, this was far below the standard of hospitality I expected, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Nice location away from all the bustling of downtown Phuket. Service was excellent with nice and helpful staff. Nice spacious facility. Great for couples and families. Great food with a lot of choices for everyone. Nice rooms and pools. Enjoyed eating breakfast overlooking the beach every day :)

We had the most amazing time here, the hotel is beautiful, plenty of restaurants a coffee shop & ice cream shop too. The hotel is spotless & even provide beach bags & flip flops. My favourite restaurant overall was the beach bar & grill, food was amazing & so were the staff… big thank you to Mook, Tana, Alex & Adrian who were sooo helpful & made our stay a great time. Hope to see you again.

The location is great for day trips and right next to Patong Beach. The facilities were amazing but the staff is what made our stay the best! Pookie, Patty, Blue and Patrick were amazing at the Merchant Kitchen, always friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality really made our stay fantastic and I couldn’t recommend them and this hotel enough. Everything was above and beyond.

Having the most incredible time here, not only is it tropical paradise but Maprang & team made it so special for us when we visited the Japanese restaurant. Cannot speak highly enough for Maprang, the team at the Japanese restaurant and also throughout the resort. The staff are so kind, thoughtful and attentive. So genuine, not forced.

An amazing hotel - we stayed all inclusive, the food options were second to none, there are a few restaurants you can book or you can enjoy a buffet option. The restaurants are also open for lunch. We enjoyed ice cream everyday at the sweet spot and cocktails by the beach at the Run shack - Beer & Nina were on top form each night ❤️ There is a film on each night for children & free popcorn - our children didn't take part in many activities but there was a lot going on for children. We chose to have breakfast at the beach grill most morning - enjoying the view of the sea, Big thanks to Tana breakfast, whose kindness and attention really made my daughter and son’s day. The pool bar is fun & plenty of all Inclusive cocktail options - thank you Mama ❤️ We played uno one evening with Sun who quickly became my daughters fave ❤️ When it was our daughter's birthday she was spoilt rotten, with birthday cake for brekki! Honestly the people who work here make this hotel next level! We have had the best week and will definitely look for other Marriott Bonvoy hotels ❤️❤️❤️

Top chic hotel with perfect location.15 min away from Patong = not too close so away of the noise to enjoy peacefull morning and afternoon at the private scenic beach,pool etc; but also not too far to enjoy patong lively atmosphere latter. Plenty of food choice,nice - spacious bedrooms ,friendly staff. I wish to mention the TUI rep called boy who organised our excursion and 100% reliable and the most friendly beach bar Rum Shack staff Muang and Nana and others who were lovely. KR. Charles.

מלון מהמם עם בריכות גדולות ומפנקות. יש כמה מגלשות לילדים. החדרים מפנקים ומרווחים ונותנים כל יום מלא מלא בקבוקי מים מינרליים. ארוחת הבוקר מעולה- הכי מגוונת שהייתה לנו בתאילנד. השירות מעולה והצוות עושה הכל כדי לעזור במה שצריך. בין 16:00ל18:00 יש אחד פלוס אחד בבר של הבריכה אז שווה. יש מלא פעילויות במלון גם למבוגרים, אבל בעיקר לילדים, כמו איפור פנים, בלונים בצורות, מסיבת קצץ, הקרנת סרטים. בבריכה מחלקים מגבות רטובות לרענון הפנים, אבטיח, מים ועוד. החוף ים הפרטי מהמם ואפשר לקבל ציוד לשנירקול, למרות שלדעתי לא היה יותר מידי מה לראות. בצד החוף יש מקום למסאז'ים (שגם עושים כביסה בריח חלומי). תעשו ב18 ותראו ככה את השקיעה תוך כדי- זה מושלם! תבקשו את יואי כמסאז'יסטית! לא תתחרטו, היא מושלמת!! כל השאר גם נראות סופר מקצועיות.
Cons: קצת קשה שאין מזגן בלובי- נורא חם! החדר ילדים קטן ולא מספיק מושקע בעיני כמו במלונות אחרים שהיינו. המלון אירח חתונות במשך 3 לילות והיה קצת רעש עד 22:00. הם ממש אבל התנצלו, שלחו לנו קינוח מפנק לחדר ונתנו לנו לעשות צ'ק האוט מהחדר ב17:00 וזה ממש יפה מצידם.

Die à la Carte Restaurants mit einer begrenzten Auswahl für AI, die Highlights immer mit teilweise heftigem Aufpreis! Das Frühstücksbuffet eine Farce, 0,0 Abwechslung und geschmacklich unterdurchschnittlich (z.B. Lachs, Honig oder eben ungekühlte Butter, Säfte aus dem Kanister). Nervig auch, dass man für jedes Getränk im Hotel unterschreiben muss, da bieten sich mittlerweile moderne Lösungen an als Abgrenzung zu HP. Auch die Duschdichtungen waren undicht, nach dem Duschen das ganze Bad unter Wasser. Die Bar zum abendlichen Ausklang am Strand mit LED Strahlern ausgeflutet, keine Hintergrundmusik - kein Feeling kommt hier auf. 5 Sterne internationaler Standard sind wir auf einem anderen Level in dieser Preiskategorie gewohnt. Preis-Leistung ist völlig überzogen. Passt irgendwie zu Phuket/Patong. Eine reine Massenabfertigung und definitiv unser schlechtester Spot bisher in unserer Thailand Vita.

Did 5 days in Phuket and this hotel was amazing. The beach was great and very clean. Did 3 Days of Muay Thai which were absolutely great, one group session showed how they were good at teaching beginners, then did 2 private sessions and Pond taught me a lot of good Muay Thai combinations that I can use as an amateur fighter (practiced for 1 year). Pond also gave very good advice on gear I should buy We were also given lovely room service from YoYo who made us some custom towel animals which were very fun to see in our room; as well as a doodle of a Muay Thai fighter on a little piece of paper! On the last night we had experienced the Muay Thai fight and buffet which was a very enjoyable experience Overall great experience with very friendly staff and service. Food could be slow at times but overall the quality made up for it

Had a grant time at the resort. Every morning we started with brilliant breakfast and made our day. At the merchants kitchen, restaurant captain Patty and Pearry made our experience so great we want to go back everyday. Patty always greets us and bring us freshly cut mango. Pearry over heard that we love mango sticky rice, she immediately brought us a plate. She so welcoming and professional.

Pinky was well trained and informative. She escorted us to our room along with a lots of introduction to the resort. This was one of our boys 8th birthday trip, she surprised us with birthday gifts what’s even better was when we returned from our dinner, she arranged a small birthday cake and a towel cake which made our day. One of the most considered gesture by far. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a fun safe and heart warming vacation to come here.

This is written from an all inclusive perspective. Family of 4, (14/17)…..meeting up with friends from Australia. UK Easter holidays. I have stayed at AI’s in Dominican Republic (Dreams), Cape Verde (RIU) and Barbados (Sandals) in recent years for comparison. The food and service is really good. The best AI I have ever eaten in possibly with the exception of Sandals but it runs it really close. We love “Al a carte” dining and are not fans of buffets. These though, when we did buffet were the calmest and highest quality buffet restaurants we have experienced. No chaos at all. Hot fresh flavoursome food. Italian and Thai and other Al a carte were really good too. Feel like real restaurants, not some half baked all inclusive effort. Fight night Thai buffet on the grass was brilliant, no loss of food quality. Boxing wasn’t exactly brutal (family resort I understand) but it was well worth doing. Service was excellent everywhere. A glass of white wine in a restaurant, they remove your “red wine glass” returns with a chilled “white wine glass”, serve and continue to top up without asking, my sort of service. Pool service was pretty good. You kind of have to ask first up then they will look after you all day. People walking around offering fruit on cocktail sticks, a “water guy” with a huge back pack containing ice cold water. Small and simple things but just that next step up in service I’d say. Rum Shack was a great spot. We spent a lot of time there. The staff (Baz/Nina) and the rest were fantastic. I have never mentioned a specific employee before in a review and no one asks to be reviewed or mentioned but their hard work, happy and friendly nature was an absolute credit to them and this resort. Drinks were good. In the AI Package there are a few limitations so if you are an alcohol connoisseur you may have a slight issue but the beer (lagers) were all good, sparkling wine was nice (not dead sweet) and you can still get Rum / vodka etc just not every type. Eg last I asked for something at the Rum Shack, she made me aware that wasn’t part of the AI Package, I switched to Jim Beam and coke which was fine. We were not that keen on the lounge bar, a bit sterile, not much atmosphere unless a singer on which helped. AI you get a wrist band so they know. You get asked your room number and sign for everything. It’s no real hassle though. Free Kayaks and Paddle boards. Did jet ski (2500 THB) for 30 mins. Not the hotel, some guy comes and has them. Same price whether 1 or 2 on it. You just take it out alone and whizz about, no rules or anyone to follow, just don’t hit anyone! The staff are great. Attentive, friendly, really lovely people. For AI it’s great. If you are wanting to be out and about doing loads of stuff the location may not be perfect for you. Patong is a bit crazy, especially Bangla Road, but as you drift a street or more further out it’s a bit more “normal”. There isn’t that much in the evening, we would have liked a bit more later on, singers or DJ or something but it was fairly quiet, no issue for us with our friends but worth noting if you are here for any late nights. Breakfast is included in the AI Package, with juices, coffee etc but the AI is 11am-11pm. Bit strange to me but at least I was fresh(ish) the next day. Also, they will generally come to you in the bar (Specifically Rum Shack) and warn you just before 11 of the time and ask if you want more. Get a couple more in if you want, they don’t mind. All in all a top class resort, exceptional staff and quality food, especially if Thai style is for you but plenty of other options.

This Marriott is a great family resort - pools are wonderful and lots to do. The beach is amazing at low tide, so much coral and sea life to explore! Breakfast offering are varied and a lot to choose from. Other food options are also good enough (not amazing but good enough), but no fine dining option.
Cons: There are about a million small children screaming and running down hallways pretty much all the time. It is very family friendly so if you are looking for a romantic get away, or have teens, this is probably not a great choice. We had to change our room because the family next door was quite vibrant and going strong past midnight which the front desk easily made happen.

I had a great stay at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach. The facilities are excellent and the property is very well maintained. The pools are clean and beautiful, and the rooms are also very clean and comfortable. The staff is always very friendly and smiling, which makes you feel very welcome. Check-in and check-out were very quick and smooth, and they greet you with a beer or tea on arrival, which is a very nice touch. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this resort and would be happy to stay here again.
Cons: The only improvement I would suggest is having more shuttle time options to the town center and offering more hotel merchandise.

Отличный отель. Даже не ожидали, что так понравится. Для отдыха с детьми - идеальный вариант! Детские горки, бассейны, детская комната и другие знаки внимания детям - дочь была счастлива. Завтрак отличный, рестораны отличные. Жаль, не все успели посетить. Оставим на следующий раз :) Порадовала близость к Патонгу и Бангла Роуд. Мы выезжали по вечерам на такси в свой любимый Савой и возвращались на тук-туке - тоже для ребенка то еще удовольствие! Сначала были немного разочарованы пляжем, но оказалось, что во время прилива в первой половине дня вполне можно купаться, а после - отдыхать в бассейнах. Номер на первом этаже с выходом к бассейну порадовал и нас и ребенка. Очень удобный, чистый. Персонал доброжелательный, приветливый. Охлаждающие полотенечки у бассейна и арбуз - отдельный кайф. 🥰 В общем, отель, в который хочется вернуться.

Dopo un viaggio di due settimane in Vietnam, abbiamo scelto questo rinomato resort a Phuket per 6 giorni di relax, prenotando con largo anticipo un pacchetto all inclusive da oltre 400€ al giorno. Siamo membri Gold Marriott e abitualmente frequentiamo hotel 5 stelle, quindi le aspettative erano elevate. Ci è piaciuta molto la struttura, bella, curata e con diversi servizi: tre piscine, più ristoranti e vari bar che rendono il soggiorno piacevole e vario. Abbiamo apprezzato anche la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale, oltre all’accoglienza iniziale con stanza decorata, dolce e frutta fresca. Abbiamo inoltre apprezzato la prontezza dei manager nel cercare di risolvere le criticità dopo il nostro feedback negativo, anche se riteniamo che non si dovrebbe mai arrivare a questo punto durante una vacanza di questo livello.
Cons: debole: limitato, utilizzabile solo dalle 11:00 e con molte esclusioni su cibo e bevande di qualità. Piatti premium, cocktail più ricercati e birre migliori sono tutti a pagamento, poco coerente con il prezzo. Nella camera manca la macchina del caffè e a colazione non sono inclusi espresso o cappuccino, ma solo caffè da macchinetta. Le attività gratuite sono limitate (solo al mattino per via della bassa marea) e l’attrezzatura snorkeling non è adeguata, con boccagli non nuovi e non sterilizzati adeguatamente. Frequenti eventi privati (come matrimoni) occupano spazi comuni, limitando accesso a lettini e aree del resort. Infine, la spa ha prezzi decisamente più alti rispetto alle alternative nei dintorni.

Cons: It was my anniversary and I turned 60 but no special recognition or reception. And I don’t like lizards and they put me next to the jungle area and lizards there . So we never wentbout on our balcony . British people hate lizards so you should make effort to have in middle row building.

The personnel are spectacular and very helpful. A very family-friendly environment – great for kids. Pretty good breakfasts. Access to the beach is also very easy, and on-site restaurants are generally OK, too, so you don't need to go outside the hotel if you'd prefer not to. Great options for families!
Cons: If you seek a relaxing chill environment and travel w/o kids, note that this may get tricky, as there are tons of kids and they are rather loud (as kids should be), and there's almost no way to escape that. The on-site restaurants are OK, but you will definitely feel the hairy hand of American corporate influence behind the menu design and dishes (do not expect anything extra, despite prices being relatively high for the quality). Do not expect easy access to the ocean, as even when the tide is high, it is still a very shallow bay, so you might eventually get tired of walking altogether. Rooms are tidy but "tired", stains on the shower doors (probably unremovable at this point).

Great facilities, exceptional buffet breakfast with huge selection of western/continental and local cuisines with alternative milk options such as oat, soy and almond available. Great pools, facilities for kids and families and free activities were great.
Cons: Not all activities were available and small fee for some which were only mentioned in fine print, so please check that before planning an activity.

Pobyt w hotelu na Phuket był naprawdę wspaniały. Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje świetne jedzenie – wszystko było świeże, bardzo smaczne i pięknie podane. Obsługa hotelu niezwykle uprzejma, pomocna i zawsze uśmiechnięta, dzięki czemu czuliśmy się bardzo komfortowo.Pokoje były nieskazitelnie czyste i zadbane, sprzątane bardzo dokładnie każdego dnia. W całym hotelu panował porządek i wysoki standard. Naprawdę trudno znaleźć jakikolwiek minus – do niczego nie można się przyczepić. Zdecydowanie polecam ten hotel każdemu, kto chce odpocząć w pięknym miejscu i mieć pewność doskonałej obsługi.

Maden var excellent. Både børn og voksne havde det pragtfuldt. Børnene spørger om vi virkelig skal vente et helt år med at komme igen. Vores stuepige May var ubegribelig ordentlig og diskret og servicerede vores værelse (4207) på fornemste vis.
Cons: Jeg synes ikke der var noget, der haltede. Jo måske kunne hvidvinen skiftes ud med en der var bedre.

There was a private beach, although it was quite rocky but still private and much nicer than Patong beach.
Cons: The food was so bad I got food poisoning either from the ice or the food. I was sick for half my stay. And my stomach is not sensitive at all. Other than that it might only be good for people with kids that don't want to eat in (although the resort is far from any other restaurant)

Cons: Il n y a pas d animation. Il y a bien un programme mais à chaque fois aucun animateur. C est le seul point noir à noter. Les enfants étaient présents aux heures du volley et du foot notamment mais personne pour animer donc aucun vacancier présent.

Le gros point positif est le spot la plage dans une crique avec un magnifique coucher de soleil (attention tout de même aux rochers dans l’eau) , l’hôtel propose différentes activités de tous âges , idéal pour une famille.
Cons: Sans plus, déçu de la chambre, bien que l’hôtel dispose d’atouts je trouve que le prix n’est pas justifié (ambiance un peu industriel), les photos que j’avais vu de l’hôtel ne reflète pas la réalité, je m’attendais à un cadre très nature paisible et reposant…

Cons: Большое количество камней/рифов во время отливов мешает заходу/выходу в воду. Легко порезаться. В магазинах отеля не продают чемоданы.

PLEASE READ TILL THE END: It is indeed hard to explain how good this hotel is. Starting with the standard stuff - the rooms are great, big, quiet and super clean. Big and comfy beds. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful for literarly everything. Their concierge services are superb. The beach is AMAZING. The sand is like powder. We read that the seabottom is a bit rocky but noone told us that it is not rocks, those are corals !!! CORALS. We were mind blown. Seeing corals and all the sea life snorkeling was a dream. All the restaurants are great and of big variety. Pools are clean and big. Every hour there is some event somewhere. You can not be bored. BUT, here is why we will tell you that you need to stay there. Do not look for other place. During our stay we were dumb enough to go to the market and buy pre-cut fruits.... BIG mistake. We did that in the afternoon and in the evening our daughter started vomiting since we got a bacteria. At about 2 AM she had done that 4 times so we called the reception for help and explained the problem. After 20 min ( I am not exaggerating ) we had a doctor in our room who was fully updated on our situation. She was so prepared that she did an IV drip in the room, gave her all the needed meds and even blood sample for bacteria which on the next day turned out possitive. On the next morning, the reception called us to check on her and provide complimentary food for our child in the room. So, being in a very distant country and being hit with such a problem is not easy. But in that hotel, it really felt like home. Actually, talking to other guys we met in the hotel about this, all from EU, we all agreed that none of us could say they can get such service in their countries. :) The thing is that one vacation can be great, but it can also have some setbacks. Well, in that hotel guys, they will make sure your nice time is a great time and in your bad days you will not be alone and you will feel safe.

Beach during hide tide is great to explore sea life with snorkels (which can be borrowed from hotel). The pools are clean and big, with different options for more relaxing or playing pool games. Our room was clean and big, with a comfy bed. Although it is a more family orientated hotel with lots of activities for kids, we enjoyed it as a couple too.
Cons: Shuttle hours to Patong are a bit limited and cost money for afternoon rides.

What an amazing resort! The food choices were so good within the buffet dinners. Loved the Italian and Japanese restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nina was always making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Prot at the Rum Shack always gave us great service also. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the placement of the smoking areas which were right on main pathways and were hard to avoid passing.

L’hôtel est digne d’un 5 étoiles je recommande fortement. Le personnel est 24/24 présent pour vous. Le petit déjeuné est parfait (un devant la mer et l’autre devant la piscine). Nous avons pris la formule all inclusive qui offrait l’accès de demi pension dans 2 restaurants thaï ou italien (entrée plat et dessert) ou bien au buffet. Nous nous sommes régalés, de plus la formule inclus 2 boissons/ cocktails par personnes par jour dans un bar au bord de la plage privé. Si je devais revenir à Phuket sans hésitation je choisirais Merlin Beach.

Many clean pools and lots of food options to choose from. Staff were very kind. There were free activities provided by the hotel like snorkling (only during low tide), yoga, and heaps of others for every hour of the day. Happy hour drinks and bar in water was great.
Cons: Location a bit far. More frequent shuttles are needed. There weren't many vegetarian and vegan options. Check in and check out was quite a long process.

Das Hotel und die Anlage sind wirklich perfekt. In einer wunder schönen Bucht gelegen, bietet das Marriott alles, was der Urlauber braucht. Es wird sehr viel für Kinder geboten, auch mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Das Personal erfüllt jeden Wunsch und kümmert sich direkt um jedes Anliegen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Die Pools wunderschönen sowohl essen, als auch Drinks super. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig.
Cons: Eigentlich war alles perfekt. Sollte man aber Kritik suchen, findet man sie auch: beim Frühstück wäre etwas Phantasie sprich Abwechslungsreichstum Klasse. Es gibt jeden Tag das selbe. Das Personal am Pool ist manchmal übermotiviert. Hat man am Pool ein getränk stehen und geht etwas länger ins Wasser, wird es einfach abgeräumt.
