Dar Victoria is a beautiful home in Fes that was transformed into a wonderful guesthouse just steps away from the old Medina. While the rooms were comfortable, the outstanding feature is the attentive service that the staff provides each guest. The daily breakfast provided was a delicious selection of Moroccan flavors, a wonderful way to start every day.

Special thanks to Hassan, who made our stay very nice and special. Breakfast was delicious, and room was confortable. The view from the terrace is beautiful, we can see all the medina. Highly recommend this place.
Cons: We have requested for a spa massage into another Riad (same owner). The hotel prepared a taxi transfer. However the public red taxi didn't took us to the final address. He asked us for more money, and left us on the street, far away. It wasn't the fault of the hotel. Be careful with the taxi.

We had a lovely welcome with tea, Moroccan style. The interior of Dar Victoria was beautiful and peaceful. We had a very nice traditional style room with everything we needed to make a comfortable stay (bags were even delivered to room as no lifts). Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included. Great location.

Ottimo Dar . Accoglienza fantastica , simpatia e gentilezza .

Daarbij hadden we luxe kamer.

It is not located on the main street and requires a bit of wayfinding, but the staff are very helpful and responsive. The inner area was amazingly beautiful, quiet and comfortable. There is a terrace with benches that allows views over Fes. Breakfast was delicious. Not mentioning the spacious and well air-conditined room. I will definitely re-book this hotel if I travel to Fes again.

Dar Victoria was very clean and breakfast was delicious. Although we donât recall his name, the employee on the first day was incredibly helpful. When we told him we had booked a guided tour, he gave us a map and wrote out the typical path then looked at our booking to ensure the tour wasnât a scam. When we needed to leave, Hassan walked our party out to the street and spoke to a cab driver on our behalf.

The Dar is really beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a disclaimer as we booked ver late. We had a great welcome from the Hanass and his staff. Our suite was downstairs and it is a bit dark but if you stay for few days it is fine. We visited other rooms and they are all very beautiful and well maintained. The traditional breakfast they serve, it also delicious. I would go back. The location is perfect in between the two Medinas, and it is closed to another posh hotel where you can go for drinks in the roof top or for dinner, albeit it is expensive. We also had a guide for a private tour which was recommended by the staff, called Said, who is highly recommended. I would go back!

The room was very big, so we had plenty of space. The host was friendly and tried to help us and give us some tips despite the language barrier. It's situated on the east side of the Medina. Everything is in walking distance, although most is uphill. The souk is just around the corner.
Cons: The ceiling is very low. I'm 1,90m and had to duck quite a lot. Also, the shower was weird with and a bit uncomfortable due to a beam that went through it at an odd angle. The AC had a lot of condens that dripped unto the bed.

Anas is a wonderful and friendly guy. There was nothing more to do to make our stay pleasant and fulfilling! He gave us tips about the city, he booked an incredible tour guide and a taxi for us, even upgraded our room! The riad is clean and beautiful and the interior courtyard where you eat the breakfast makes you feel like you are in a palace. The breakfast is very rich, with local tastes.
Cons: ΀he neighborhood seems to have mostly locals and less tourists, which could be positive, but unfortunately some people make you feel like you are not very welcomed, especially if you are not a Muslim.

(Emerald suite) This property is stunning and perfect, truly. The staff was so kind to us and our two children (I traveled with a 8 and 4yo). If you are looking for a true historical and authentic experience in Fes this is the place to say. When I return I will only stay here. If youâre looking for a place to stay, this is it no doubt. The hotel should honestly charge more for the amount of service that you receive. Way undervalued.

Dar Victoria felt like an oasis from the outside world from the moment we stepped in through the big old wooden doors so welcome after a long drive. The inner courtyard is stunning yet welcoming and comfortable with several seating areas. The huge marble columns are awesome and the decor is perfect. We were lucky enough to have a suite room which was so wonderful I didnât want to leave. The bed is firm but comfortable with good quality linen and pillows. It was our home away from home during our first visit to Morocco. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. We had to check out early and Ali went out of his way to make us breakfast to go. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Brahim. I booked my first hammam (private) which was absolutely exceptional. The women working were very nice and professional. The location is great! Within 10 minute walking distance of everything in the Medina. Easy to find, even at night by myself. I felt safe during my stay. The community is very welcoming to outsiders. The breakfast was fantastic! So many options, even for a vegetarian. The rooftop terrace is always open and thereâs plenty of seating with a great view of the Medina! I highly recommend booking the day tour of the Medina. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of my entire visit. It is of great value! Our tour guide was Said, and he was absolutely fabulous! Dar Victoria felt like home. Thereâs always someone there to answer the door at all times, day and night. The staff that Brahim has hired are all extremely dedicated to doing their best. They are all so welcoming and kind. I highly highly recommend! You will not regret. Thank you to everyone at Dar Victoria for making me feel at home during my first days in your beautiful country!
Cons: I recommend bringing earplugs. I imagine that is the case for any lodging within the Medina.

But we were told that they will arrange transportation to a different location where massages were available. The staff were wonderful annd so helpful, which really enhanced our stay. We had dinner on the first evening, which was very good and great value. The guides organised by Dar Victoria were superb, particularly our driver, Rashid, who took us out on two day trips. Breakfast was delicious and service was quick. The room was nicely furnished. Very nice Riad in the Medina, close to all attractions, will give you a map with instructions how to see all the main sights. They will arrange transport to and from Riad to train station or bus station. Did pack us Breakfast for early departure in morning. Beautiful architecture. Quiet side of the Medina. Stunning riad, well appointed and good location
Cons: The male staff member could have been more helpful - we had no one to check us out when we left at 7am and no one to help us with our bags. They did leave a breakfast which was nice. The staff member seemed disinterested when he found out we were not doing tours via the riad.

Breakfast was incredible and plentiful. when we had an excursion planned for the same time as breakfast start, Mo packed us a to go baggie. Mo is a fantastic host â hailed us taxis, gave us restaurant recs and even gave us approx prices for buying items in the medina!
Cons: The medina can be very tricky or scary for foreigners at nighttime, and because the location is not at a major tourist attraction, it is hard to hail a taxi/ get a taxi to drop off in the neighborhood at all. because taxis wouldnt drop us off in the exact neighborhood, we ended up walking through the medina more than we wanted to. at least we were close to a couple of restaurants once we decided not to venture out far at night.

One of the most amazing rooms we have stayed in. Our room on the ground level was actually one room on one level and then up on the second level was another room with the bed. It was huge and very unexpected. So much space with huge bathroom and separate toilet. The house itself is so beautiful with a fountain downstairs and everyroom looking differently. We chose dar Victoria because of easy location, as we didn't want to get lost in little lanes or walk too far with our luggage. Their have organised a pick up for us from.the station, which was very helpful. Breakfasts were amazing. Brahim and Muhammad were extrez helpful in navigating the city. It was ok me of my favourite places to stay in Morocco. The road is also one of the quietest, we have stayed in.

Everything was beyond my expectation! When I first entered the riad, I was mesmerised with how beautiful and quaint the riad is. I wished I had stayed longer because it was such a comfortable and beautiful stay. We wanted to extend our stay but the room we stayed in was fully booked for the next day. Staff are all helpful and resourceful, especially Mohamed, who helped us with everything. I recommend this riad to everyone who comes to Fez.

The dar is beautiful with lots of history! Breakfast is great, a lot of varieties. Staff are kind. We also love the guide that the staff helped us booked - heâs really professional and helped us navigate the lanes and told us many interesting stories and histories about Fes. Donât miss the panoramic view from the terrace!
Cons: We had a problem with the room lock on the first day, and one of our family members was locked in the room for a few hours. Thankfully the staff found someone to fix it on the same day. The bed was a bit too soft in my opinion.

The staff was especially kind and helped with everything. From waiting for us at the streets when we arrived, to giving us complimentary tea, giving tips as to what to do and where to go. They even prepared us little breakfast kits when we went on excursions and had to leave before breakfast time. The location itself is also superb, it is next to Place Rcef, which means you can easily reach it by car/taxi and yet it is just at the gates of the medina, giving you the best of both.

The Riad is really nice and big. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful for our requests, finding restaurants etc. He prepared us breakfasts when we leave early in the morning. The room was spacious and clean. Overall it is a nice and authentic Riad. The roof terrace was amazing to relax.
Cons: Location is not the best, the Riad is in a path from the main square and would not recommend to walk after 10PM. Also noise was coming from the neighborhood at night. Even though Riad felt safe, owner was waiting for us in the door when we arrived at 11PM. We did not like the area.

This is a unique and beautifully decorated riad in the Medina of Fes. We booked three rooms and we loved our stay in Dar Victoria. Two gentlemen who welcomed us are super friendly and pay attention to everything. They even woke up to prepare our breakfast package in the middle of the night because we should leave very early (2AMđŽ). We had the feeling that we had a breakfast in a museum as the riad is sooo beautiful with some modern touches. From the roof top there is an amazing view to the Medina and perfect place to watch sunset or sunrise. Congratulation! I hope to see you soon!

Great service, they met us at the car park and helped with our bags to the dar. This greatly helped as the dar is located deep within the neighbourhood and there are a lot of turns, where one could get lost if you don't know your way around. As a side note, parking is not free, you must pay the attendant based on the duration of your stay. The Dar is absolutely gorgeous, great architecture, and amazing rooftop views of the city. They also have a great breakfast option. We had the pleasure of booking a room on the first floor, which turned out to be two floors inside, with the bathroom, and living area on the bottom and some stairs to the bedroom on the top. Really cute for a couple. The room is nice, however the bed is average, not as comfortable as a hotel, but does the trick. The Dar is also close to many tourist attractions, and we walked most of them, which was great!
Cons: The bed could be more comfortable, and it would be great to get a heads up that the room is two floors (you must use stairs to get to the bed). Other then that no complaints!

We spent 3 nights at Dar Victoria and we highly recommend this dar (smaller than a riad without an interior garden). It is very well situated- 5mins walk to the medina and 20-30min drive to the airport. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It is equipped with wifi. The hosts were welcoming and very accommodating. Don't bother going out to eat as they have the BEST in-house cook in town! She makes the best ghoriba and fekkas (shortbreads), couscous belboula ( not on the menu) and vegetable soup. The best meals we had during our trip in Morocco was at Dar Victoria. The Dar Victoria was superb! The Dar itself is an absolutely beautiful facility, but what really makes it stand out are the staff. They are exceptional! Kareem (sp?) was the person we dealt with the most and he could not have been more friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs and requests. We felt like we made a new friend in Fez! He suggested we hire a walking tour guide to take us through the medina and that was an excellent suggestion as we learned and saw so much more than we would have on our own, not to mention we could never have navigated the maze of alleys and souks without the assistance of a local. By the way, we had Said as our tour guide and we highly recommend using him, too. We were going by bus to Chefchaouen following our stay in Fez and Kareem offered to go online to purchase the bus tickets so we didn't have to deal with that. That was so incredibly helpful! On the day we left Fez, Kareem helped carry our luggage out to the street and even negotiated a good price with a taxi driver to take us to the bus station. The room! Oh my gosh, we didn't want to leave it! Hands down, the best room in all of our five weeks in Africa! It was like a small apartment and the bathroom was a dream bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the whole room was exceptionally clean. I cannot say enough good things about the room we had. All of Fez feels very safe and we never had any issues with the city or the area Dar Victoria is in. We had breakfast every morning in the main area and it was a good way to start the day and not have to find a place to eat in Fez. The location is perfect! It was an easy walk to the Tannery and medina. Upon returning from a hot day of sightseeing, we could just pop into the kitchen and ask for a soft drink from the kitchen staff, who were also so kind and helpful. If you are reading this review trying to select a place to stay, stop looking! Pick the Dar Victoria! I promise you will will not regret it!
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the Dar Victoria!

Dar Victoria is a lovely place. The appearance of the riad is great: I love the Morrocan architecture and the old furniture. The breakfast is great, there is many choices. We've stayed for four nights and there were different options every day. The staff can cook dinner too for reasonable prices. The place is more than it meets the eye. Very unassuming from the outside aside from its entrance door but, once we walked in, it was like a completely different place. Gorgeous architecture, pillars extending high up into the ceiling, and the view from any spot in the courtyard is amazing. I unfortunately did not get a chance to enjoy and partake in their breakfast due to timing and needing to be somewhere in the morning but, my friends who did partake enjoyed it and the host Karim was very accommodating. We did have dinner there and it was very lovely and enjoyable and the views in the riad made made it all the more beautiful. Communication was also no problem at all. Location is amazing, it's a very short walk to the main road where you can easily get a petit taxi. The room is very nicely decorated and has ample space for sitting, including the extra bed which has its own little nook. The hotel lobby is beautiful, it is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast is relatively simple fare - fresh orange juice, coffee or tea, some bread with jams and butter, and yoghurt or flan. Staff are very friendly and helpful - we met some local students and brought them to the Riad, and the staff offered us all tea while we chatted. Overall, the price we paid was very value for money for the stay. We would recommend this hotel to people staying in Fes. Note that it's easy to get a taxi from the train station to the hotel - we paid 50DH as a fixed price, but if you're willing to walk slightly further out and hail a metered taxi, the trip would cost you 15DH (we were 3 friends with 3 big luggage, 2 of which were put on the roof of the taxi). Note also that the hotel has a closed door which you need to knock on, for the staff to come and open. You can't use your room key to open the door. We had no issues with this though, the staff were always prompt in answering the door.
Cons: Mostly very clean, but the shower drains slowly, and the socket for the towel heating element is very dangerously close to the shower splash zone. The staff should seriously consider relocating the socket.

Everything was simply fantastic. Easy to get location, close to main tourist atractions, amazing traditional and comfortable rooms, big rooftop, delicious dinner, but first of all extremely friendly and helpful staff. Karim and Abdul really do good job there and are available nearly 24/7. They help with arranging trips, tour guide, hammam and anything you need, they give good advices how to avoid being overcharged when shopping or taking a taxi. Thank you very much Karim and Kingy!
Cons: That I had to leaveđ

This riad has the most stunning interior design I've seen. The atmoshphere is really nice and cozy especially at night. Staff was amazing - from the cleaning staff to the guys at reception. Very welcoming and helpful. Especially Karim who went out of his way to help me not get lost in Fes' crazy medina. I felt super comfortable here and wish I could've stayed longer

it took us to journey back in time , which you find in every detail at the hotel. The furniture and the interior is very moroccan. In my opinion , it is a must to feel the cultural differences.
Cons: The location is not very safe for GIRLS mainly, either you make sure that you arrive early to the hotel because it has a hidden pathway ( not later than 10 pm. There is no parking lot for the hotel , which is mentioned on booking. If you have a car you need to park it 5-7 min walk.

Wonderful building with beautiful Moroccan mosaics. And for the sun lovers: a nice roof terrace with plenty of room. The room was also in a lovely traditional style close to the Medina. The staff really understands the concept of hospitality! They are friendly, helpful and always available. Especially Karim!

Charming, warm and inviting. When we first walked into this riad we could feel the warm and inviting vibe from the riad itself but also from the staff. When we checked in we were provided with Moroccan tea and biscuits as we sat in the beautiful common area where the reception is. The room again was full of character and comfortable. There is a roof top outdoor seating area which is comfortable and inviting. The breakfast was simple but adequate, my wife is gluten free which we had informed the riad before hand and they had gone above and beyond, she was able to have fruit salad, yoghurt, rice cakes with a selection of spreads and tea or coffee.
Cons: We booked into one of the smaller rooms which had a double bed not a queen, but this was fine for our stay but more something to note when reserving the smaller rooms at this property.

The main space, between some of the rooms and the reception/restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with mosaic, plaster and cedar decorations, comfy seating and a charming library. We got a family room, which was huge. It had two floors, the bottom for a communal seating area, the bathroom and one of the single beds, and the top for another single bed and a double bed, separated by a bridge! The decorations were stunning, the bathroom very clean, and the breakfast generous and delicious. The location is great - not far from Bab Rcif and the lower end of the Medina.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Very nice establishment in the Medina of Fez. At dinner and breakfast they serve typical Moroccan cuisine of a very good standard. We arranged all the excursions at the hotel at a very affordable price. Last but not least, Karim is one in a million! Always helpful and present, he runs a hotel with great skills despite being very young. See you soon!

Cons: - It did not influence our stay, but the bed is not designed for long people :)

Dar Victoria is a beautiful riad! It is a bit further from the Blue Gate, but a close walk to the center of the Medina through Bab Râcif. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating - they booked a local hammam nearby for me and also prepared breakfast 30 minutes early for my morning departure.
Cons: The hammam on the property was not available.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding. First of all, our host Karim and his team were beyond kind and nice people, always able to help, solve any problem or question you could have, or just to give you some tips and heads up about the city. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walking from one of the main squares, which is full with all kind of commerce and close to very good restaurants. Regarding to the rooms, they are excellent; completely clean, equipped with everything you need, with air conditioners and a nice arrangement in general. The breakfast is not just excellent, it is abundant and will leave you full of energy for a day in Fez, or wherever you are heading that day. Donât hesitate, you will be feeling like home!

Let me begin by saying the Dar Victoria is a 5 star quality! Mihammed and staff go out of his way to make his guest feel at home. The guide was perfect Idris took his time to walk us thru the Medina with ease. I didnât worry about getting loss. We ordered dinner every night and the foods plentiful fresh and tasty! Breakfast comes with and had a nice variety everyday. I canât say enough except I recommend to all and my friends. You will be served well yet feel like family! I will return!! Oh wait be sure to get the Hammam for only 350 dirhams! (Massage and scrub)

The Dar Victoria is absolutely beautiful and a quiet respite from the chaos of the Fes medina. Unfortunately we were the last guests to stay here as the Dar is closing for business. Everything was top notch.
