We really liked that this riad was an old building with a history and unique architecture and interior design. But soon it showed us it’s age.
Cons: First of all, the bed was really uncomfortable to sleep in. We didn’t have enough hygiene staff, like toilet paper, shampoo and soap(btw very low quality). The toilet didn't work, we couldn’t flush properly, and the bath tub didn’t drain. For 3 nights that we stayed there they didn’t throw out the trash, didn’t tidy up the room or bring us new towels. The pool was beautiful but not good for swimming because the water was dirty. The breakfast looked delicious but it really wasn’t delicious at all. All the traditional dishes were very dry and not quite tasty. The plates and glass were dirty. There was an elderly gentleman that was quite persistent in taking his services as a guide even when we really didn’t want any guidance. He followed us to the street very angry, it was really uncomfortable.

It was a amazing place with unique atmosphere, but a bit falling apart building. The staff was really friendly and helpful, although not everyone could communicate in another language. They did our laundry for free. We could choose room based on our preferences after they showed us every available options.
Cons: There was dust everywhere and the pool wasn’t clean.

Great breakfast, location, amazing staff, and overall beautiful and authentic riad. Gorgeous property, all the staff were incredibly attentive, and even packed breakfast takeaway boxes for our 5 am flight!
Cons: No dislikes but it is an old building with many winding stairs, gorgeous property but be prepared to bring your back up and down stairs.

had a lovely large room with large balcony over looking the city of Fes. The decor was like something out of Arabian Nights...Courteous and helpful staff ensured that an initial disappointment at the room we had been given was speedily rectified to one that exceeded our expectations...we were staying six nights, so it was important to us to have a decent room .

The decor was beautiful. The bed was alright. I enjoyed the look of the facility. Breakfast, although it was hot and fresh, it was mediocre. The orange juice was fresh, and I appreciate it.
Cons: The bathroom had no air circulation. The tub didn't drain well.

The riad is inside the medina close to one gate and to a parking lot. So easy to reach with carry-on.
Cons: We are disappointed overall. The hotel looks like its falling apart and its not really clean. The garbage can was not even emptied in the room when we check-in. Staff are smilling but they are slow and not that helpful. Breakfast looks big but its not tasty.

The place is historical indeed! The feeling is like living in real Moroccan house, which is true. The place gives a lot of imagination and new experience. Helpful stuff and a lot of freedom, I mean you can choose breakfast time and check out is not on the morning.
Cons: If you arrive in night it might be a bit difficult to find even if it’s minute from the gate of old town.

While unassuming from the outside, the inside of the property was so so beautiful. The lobby and terrace were gorgeous. Our room was stunning and we had a modern shower, which was incredibly nice.
Cons: The pool wasn’t much of a swimming, more like an outdoor bathtub.

A really old Riad. The lounge and plunge pool area typical for Morroco and breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were a delight and happy to help in any way they could. The beds large and comfortable. Towels and bedding changed very regularly. Plentiful breakfast if a bit stodgy (would have liked some fruit). Staff very willing to arrange trips out.
Cons: I think our groups expectations, based on the confirmation of booking page, were extremely high. Reality brought us back to earth and the facilities reflected the aura of age. ´Having slept on our dissatisfaction we settled in well and by the end of the week had got quite fond of the place and staff. Need to be mobile to manage to get into the shower. Toilet seat shaky and toilet roll holder not capable of holding a toilet roll. Things stated as available seemed to be missing: safe, kettle, iron etc., hairdryer provided on request. The Riad itself is on the edge of Medina and at night limited eating places, cafes etc. The new town does provide more choice at reasonable prices.

It is very traditional and beautiful Riad. The architecture inside is splendid. The room decor is also very nice. The staff greeted us with Moroccan tea on our arrival and also Guided us the way to Madina. which is 10-12 mins walk. For one of the room, the Ac was not working. So they changed the room for us and it was very comfortable too. Breakfast was really nice and fulfilling. Egg omelette with meat in it was something that we were only served at this place. And it was delicious. The pool area is lovely as well for a swim and relaxation. Overall great place with mesmerising architecture
Cons: staff does not understand english well. Had to use Google Translate but thats ok. the internet was slow as well. But it works most of the time. can’t complain much on that.

Breakfast was excellent! The staff were incredibly welcoming. Mme Hakima and Mr Faisal were extremely understanding and quickly sorted out a problem with my payment. The staff were attentive to my every need and treated me like family. Mme Hakima even sorted out 4am airport transfer and presented me with a packed breakfast when I left. I've read other reviews that complained about the state of the riad. It's true that it's not modern luxury, but that's the charm of staying in a riad. You travel back in time!
Cons: Although you are away from the noise of the Medina, the riad can be hard to find. Google maps takes you to the restaurant, not the riad so ask for gps coordinates. Also there is no sauna or wellness centre, despite this being mentioned as part of the services. Still the courtyard mini pool was very refreshing. The downstairs rooms are easy to access but give onto the shared spaces, while the upstairs rooms are quieter, but up some pretty steep steps. So choose your room carefully. What you see in the pics is what you get. Also consider whether you want external windows (more light) or just windows that give onto the courtyard (allows less light in the room).

We visited Fes for two nights in April and found these accommodations more than adequate for our family weekend holiday. The desk, cleaning, and service staff were exceptional. The riad is beautiful and the decor charming, though it is a bit dark with an enclosed courtyard outside the rooms. The "pool" is actually more like a fountain in the main courtyard and it was empty during our April stay. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious. The location is within five minutes of a main gate and parking; a big plus in a city like Fes.

The riad is stunning - it felt more like a homestay than a hotel in ways and we were a bit far out but you still get great value for your money - the room we stayed in (Yasmine) was very spacious and split over 2 floors - not very polished but loads of character to the place. Its a big mish mash of antiques and traditional moroccan home decor. If I visit fez again I would stay closer to the Bab Baljoud area as the riad is in a bit more of a local area - some people might love this but it can be hard to find your way back in the dark and a bit quiet. The main courtyard is a bit dark and damp with no natural light coming but there is a small pretty outside area with a feature pool. The staff were so attentive and the breakfast was great! :)
