I arrived at this 'Hotel' and promptly discovered there was confusion at my booking. I showed my receipts and eventually my booking was confirmed. I was also made to pay an amount of 'tax', which had to be paid in cash. I asked why was this not made clear when I made the booking-no answer given. My booking stated a complimentary breakfast was included with the tariff however at the hotel I was told that I had to pay for breakfast...??? The hotel was dirty: dirty linen, dirty towels, lights with no globes in them, remote control with no batteries...I appreciate the accommodation was fairly inexpensive...but the hotel was poor.

The good · I paid 200 dirham for a spacious single room, with a spacious private bathroom with a nice hot shower, in the centre of Casablanca. The owner was professional and by coincidence even wandered into a nearby bar where I was having language problems and helped me out The bad - the air-conditioning didn't work (but June was cool). The TV didn't work (but I wouldn't have used it anyway). The room hadn't been cleaned after the last guest, including the toilet - which was a bit yucky. But, hey, I was paying 200 dirham.

This place is a nightmare. My wife and I had terrible experience in this Hotel. I would suggest hotel.com to remove this hotel from their listing as i trusted this site and depended on it. We went to the room and started coughing as it was damp and humid and dirty. The blankets gave us itch all over the body and could not sleep, woke up sneezing and coughing. My wife had red marks all over the body. We had to go to reception 4 times to get towel, soap and toilet paper as there was none or used. The reception guy does not know manner and such an idiot. AVOID this place at any cost EVEN IF YOU GET IT FREE.

Let me preface this by saying that I grew up in Ethiopia, and have stayed in a million hotels of different standards. This is the first time I have ever found it necessary to warn anyone against staying somewhere. I arrived and the first two things you are hit with are both stupid. One is you are unreasonably required to actually print your receipt to stay at the hotel, which I then had to go find an internet cafe to do, because apparently it is still 10 years ago at Hotel du Louvre. Then there was an unadvertised extra charge of 40DH a night, which made the price suddenly comparable to slightly better hotels in the area. While the staff was not unfriendly at all, they were generally far from accommodating. The WiFi is basically in name only, as it really only ever works in the lobby. The rooms were not baaadd (though definitely not up to date if that matters to you), and the location was pretty standard comparatively to what else is downtown, conveniently placed, but not quiet if that's what you are after (which didn't bother me). All said and done though, while this looks a little better for the pocket, definitely spend the literally few extra bucks to stay somewhere better.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the room service is so good, no extra fees were needed after check-out, the only bad thing is that i've been waited for 20 minutes as they did not have any idea about my reservation so they had to check with Expedia and it went OK. One extra amazing thing that i've forgotten my mobile at the Taxi and when i told that to the receptionist, they called him as the taxi driver had delivered me his business card for further help in my return to the airport, and the receptionist got it back to me in only 3 minutes with no extra fees although the taxi driver asked for 30 Euros.

Large and romantic old town, it was great my dreams when I arrived to Casablanca. The hotel was expecting a haven of peace. Vacation time was two weeks. The first week went to the city exploring, but the second week was already longing-filled, that is, out of the entire town. Too much and unnecessary romance throughout Casablanca. I was disappointed. The hotel was also very tedious. The bed was horrible, pillows and blankets were dirty and were not changed throughout the course. Noise from the street and neighboring room the sounds of the residents continued late into the night. The only positive was the staff, thanks to them !!!

Just a one night stop for me before catching a bus, the location is pretty close to CTM station! but the quality is far bad! dead cockroach on the bathroom floor, hot water only last for 5 minutes, very noisy street at night, very uncomfortable bed, the bell guy tried to demand money though I was the one who carried all of my belongings, he did not even help with my bags, why did I have to pay him for just opening my room door! very bad experience!

This was the only cheap hotel I could find in Casablanca to kill two nights before my tour. It's great if you are on a serious budget and want to have your own room, but otherwise, I advise spending more money to stay elsewhere. Pros: decent location with lots of cafés nearby and a 25min walk to the Hasaan Mosque, good wifi although it's only in the lounge, aircon worked well, night shift reception was very kind and even offered me traditional mint tea while I sat and used the wifi in the lounge, the mattress is decently comfortable. Cons: no restaurant, no English speaking staff (French and Arabic only), tv is limited to 5 channels in Arabic and French only, hot water lasts for about 5min in shower, you can tell the sheets have been cleaned but there are still hairs stuck to the sheets, the pillows are ripped up with holes but they just throw the pillow case on it and hope you don't notice, the comforter looks like it's never been washed (Eeww), lounge is filled with cigarette smoke but so is all of morocco, no city map available at the front desk nor at the airport. Do yourself a favor and don't spend ANY extra time in Casablanca. Go see the Hasaan Mosque and be done. It's a dirty, smelly, busy city with nothing to offer except the mosque and a starting point for many Moroccan tours. As a single female, I didn't feel overly comfortable walking around by myself. The men are very aggressive and yell at you as you walk down the street and sometimes get in your face.

First of all, I only speak English and Spanish, and the hotel staff only speak Arabic and French. Other than that, the place is nice. It's small but clean and you can't beat the price online...you'd have to go there and shop around for a better deal. The WIFI is only available in the lobby. The staff was super nice and helpful. They escorted me around when it was late and I needed dinner. I didn't like that the staff smoked in the lobby, but this is Morocco and it's hard to get away from smoke.

The Guy at the reception asked us to pay up front, and after we've stayed the night we know why! The shower was broken, the door/window couldn't close so we had to listen to all the streetnoise trough out the night and worst of all, the room and halls were occupied by cockroaches! When we complianed about the cockroaches at the reception, they told us to get used to it...this is why the guy at the reception asked to pay up front...he must have known we wouldn't pay if we already had stayed there.

Even though, Louver is the cheapest hotel in the list of Casablanca but i would give it more than excellent because of its very low price. Its family managements which are doing their best to convince their customers. I mean its in the heart of City surrounding with all shopping center. Air-conditioned, large TV, kingsize bed and very clean for dinner price at any other city in Europe or even Africa. I would give it 4.5/5

If you want a cheap place to lay your head at night, centrally located (just off Place Mohammed V), but aren't overly concerned by the aesthetics, then this is a good place to start your exploration of Casablanca. If you are looking for anything remotely modern, this is not for you.

It's a cheap hotel in a central location. Very dated, but it does what it says on the packet. You get an ensuite room in a central location, no more no less. The staff didn't speak English and In have an extremely limited command of French, but we managed to get along just fine with basic requests. The two ladies that cleaned my room were lovely and very concerned that I came back from a morning at the beach looking a bit sunburnt - schoolboy French kicked in at that point and I even remembered how to ask for more toilet paper! The shower on the first day went cold half way through proceedings. I think this may be partially due to me having the hot water tap running due to plug issues for ten minutes whilst I was shaving though. The hotel is located right in the centre of the shopping district and well signposted Great place to explore the local grotty bars and cheap restaurants (they double in price by the coast for less tasty offerings). It's about 15 minutes walk from the central market area (you sort of have to walk through it to go to Hassan II Mosque - highly recommended). The mosque itself is a good 30mins walk away, but well worth a visit. The 'petit taxis' are cheap, metered and plentiful. It should cost no more than 20dh for that trip. You can walk to and from Casa Voyageurs train station if you like to get lost like me! It's a good 30-40 mins walk if you get it right the first time. Plan that particular trip ahead with printouts of google maps.

Room was very basic. It had an elevator but you had to climb up a flight of stairs to get to it. Our room was not cleaned after our first night - I assume that it was because we did not leave the key at the desk. The location is good but the hotel is very over priced.

The rooms aren't as fancy as the lobby and staircases lead you to think, but they're definitely live-able. I just had one night before a morning flight, and it served my needs well. My room, however, only had about 2 minutes of hot water in the shower, so be ready for that potentially. Staff was friendly and helpful, although a guy is always standing by to help with bags and then asks for a tip after, even if you can take your own bag. This kind of stuff is all over Morocco it seems, though. Internet in the lobby was helpful, and there was a pizza place and a convenience store on the same block. It was a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the train station. It would have been about 40 minutes to the airport (and about 25-30 euro), but I took the train to the airport for cheaper. Overall, it was good for a night and served my needs.

I would not recommend this hotel, the rooms were not clean, hair and dirt in the bathroom and stains on the sheets. We stayed one night and quickly moved to a different hotel. Bathroom window did not have a latch on the window and someone could easily climb on the structure outside the Hotel (alley access) to access the 1st floor room. Hotel manager said no problem no one will come in. No luggage lift or just about any other amenities. Just a room oh, and hot water for the first 1 minute only - shower fast.

For this hotel, it is get what you pay for. I did a late check in, the service was fast, but not particularly friendly and the room was clean, but maintenance and up keep brings it down a little. Also the fact that you are walked to another hotel for breakfast was a surprise as they didn't mention it, saying only 'follow me'. I would stay here again as a transit hotel only, but for the price it was good.

I booked this hotel for my first two nights in Morocco. It was the only expedia listed hotel in my price range. The staff were remarkably unhelpful, the room was very grotty but the bathroom was clean and there was hot water and good water pressure. A walking tour of this part of town is featured in the lonely planet guidebook as a great example of Art Deco architecture, but that is the only redeeming factor of the location. Better bet is hotel Armoud- sparkling clean new rooms, helpful multi-lingual staff, free internet, luggage storage and its only 2 blocks away.

I had a long layover in Casablanca and needed a cheap hotel. I booked Hotel du Louvre on Hotels.com for like $48. The place is not the Hilton but it's charming, adequate, clean and even as a single female at 10pm, I felt safe. I had a room on the street and it was a little noisy if you like a really quiet room-- I tend to like some street sounds though and it was fine. There was hot water but the hot water heater is super small so its enough for a quick shower.

This hotel was fine for a night or two. This was the beginning of a two week trip accross the country and our expectations were low. Beds were comfortable and the location was good for visiting the medina, mosque Hassan 2, etc. The area is noisy, but with jet lag and ear plugs, we managed to sleep through breakfast the first morning. Breakfast is in another hotel not very close by and the staff made it obvious they were not happy to show us where it was. Service is minimal but so is the rate.

Room was filthy. For the six days I was there, I didn't get any room service - no linens changed, no fresh towels, no trash emptied. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The room had no air conditioning. The hotel advertises a continental breakfast, and yes, you do get one but you have to walk four blocks to get it. Hotel du Louvre also advertised a multi-lingual staff. The clerk spoke Arabic and French and didn't even try to communicate any other way. The hotel is located in a run down (dirty) section of Casablanca. Traffic and noise are intense all through the night.

The hotel was Ok and I MIGHT stay there again, but the pillow was a traditional Moroccan round pillow that was HARD. I slept badly. The staff were friendly enough and it's a great location. HOWEVER, my taxi driver took 30 minutes (and 24DH) to find it! It's on the corner of Moulay something - so take a map. It's 1 km from the GARE NEAR Hotel Rio. WiFi worked only in the lobby. Bathroom was clean, but looked "worn"

I arrived at this hotel on a weekend and the neighborhood was pretty creepy. During the week it was a lot better. Luckily, I speak French... but if you don't speak it you will have a harder time, because no one at reception speaks English. That didn't bother me, but it's something to consider. The room wasn't bad, but my two gripes would be the shower and the bed. The shower had not even five minutes of hot water, which didn't make me happy. I'm also known to sleep on the couch and even floor on occasion, and fall asleep relatively easily. However, the bed was extremely hard and actually hurt to sleep on. Normally, a mattress has some give to your body shape, but this bed felt like sleeping on granite.

visited Casablanca in january 2011, chose the hotel of its price. well, for stay it is ok, but not for living! First, it is hard to find the hotel. taxi driver spent a lot of time asking directions Second, all in a room is old and partially broken Third, the breakfast is served in another hotel and it is really poor. Terrible tea, no fresh juice, too few vegetables, and 1 or 2 muffins. Guys, that is not enough! The only advantage - the location, close to medina

For other travelers: it's crossing of Rue Nationale and Boulevard Idriss Lahrizi (3 min walk from crossing Bd. de Paris and Av. Hassan II). Furniture is not new, but enough. Heatening of hot water for shower is not central. Only one towel for two people (double room). There is breakfast, but in other hotel. Staff showed us way to this hotel. We came to breakfast in diffirent time, but always there was too few to eat. Orange juice was not original (we were in morocco one week, it's orange land and all hotel beside that hotel provided us for breakfast with glass of fresh orange juce). If you don't need more comfort, it's cheap hotel for 1-2 night staying.

I spend one night in Casablanca and I had single room with kindsize bed. Prepare map to find this hotel. Most of texi drivers do not know where is the Hotel. Cleanliness - I finished my military service just a year ago and living with around 30 sweaty young guys for 2 years gives you kinda immun to smell and dirty stuffs. However, even I felt don't wanna use a blanket. Service - It's 2 ster hotel. what do you expect. lol guy in the reception can not speak English. Location - Perfect location. in the middle of city Rooms - dirty and old... Sleep quality - If blanket did not have dirty marks and smell, it could be better.

I've spent the last two decades traveling for work, often to the developing world. So, I understand that travlers expectations should shift a bit in accordance with local standards of 'luxury.' However, the Hotel du Louvre is an abysmal hotel by any concievable standard. The staff is rude, and at times openly hostile. One of them even rifled through my things while I was out for meetings, although nothing was stolen. While the lobby is very appealing and quite clean, the same cannot be said for the rooms. They have a sort of faded glory because of some nice architectural touches, such as crown molding, but the paint job is peeling, the carpets are threadbare and filthy, and the bathroom smells of feces. The room that I saw and booked online simply does not exist at this hotel, and, worst of all, the online rate is about three times the rate posted at the hotel's main entrance. Like Casablanca itself, this room failed to meet my expectations. Avoid this hotel, and unless you need to travel here for business, avoid this city. The rest of Morocco has so much more to offer.

Nice room cleaner than expected with hot water, big bed and shower in the room, close to Train Station, next to busy street (the night we stayed the hometown soccer team won, so it was a bit of a party), helpful bellhop in finding a taxi at 4 in the morning.

we booked at 9 p.m. and gave us one price that was ok for us. when we got in with all baggages he changed his mind asking for 170 dirham more (the prices in the reception said 280 for single, 380 for double and for the triple room he finally asked 550!!). it was late and we said we'll discuss later. in the early morning the same waiter said he didn't want to discuss 'cause he had headache.. but we had it too because of lot of mosquitos and flies in the room. and with rude manners he made us wait for half on hour for the receipt. bad!!
