We spent four nights in Riyadh, which I remember very fondly. The location is central, a 15-minute walk to the square. The staff deserves the highest praise; everyone was incredibly kind! My boyfriend and I were sick, and Fatima immediately helped us. Every day, everyone asked how we were feeling. We are so grateful for everything! We had a charming ground-floor room – the only slight downside was that you could hear everything happening on the patio and in the other direction, but not many people were on the patio during our stay. Upstairs, there's a very pleasant and colorful terrace. The breakfast was excellent, something different every day. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

A recommander chaudement !

A konyhában dolgozó hölgy, a takarítónő is végtelenül kedvesek voltak.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Sable Chaud! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome – offering tea upon check-in and helping us coordinate airport transportation with ease. The riad itself is stunning, with beautiful high-end design details throughout that make it feel like a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. The location is ideal — tucked away enough to feel private, yet still within walking distance of major sights and the Medina. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and thoughtful touches that made our stay so memorable. Highly recommend!

Our stay at this riad was great. The manager was very hospitable and helped us with an app so we could around the souks. We were greeted with tea and biscuits and the breakfast they gave in the morning was delicious. It was in a great location to be able to walk to most things you want to see in the city. The only thing to note is we didn’t use the rooftop once, I don’t know if it was open or not. I definitely recommend staying here!

This riad is an excellent choice in a quiet area away from the congestion of the middle and lower Medina area. It's about a 6 minute walk to the nearest gate area, where taxis and food are available, and a 20 minute walk to the Jemaa el-Fnaa -- Google Maps will get you anywhere you want to be. The property is clean and staffed by friendly and helpful people; Hamid was always around to provide all kinds of helpful services. Communication in English is a little limited, but no big problem. Excursions and on-site food are available, but there was no pressure at all to use either of these services. If you want a safe, quiet place in which to base your exploration of Marrakech, this is a great place for the price.

The location was excellent, right in the centre of the Medina. If you want to feel like you're staying in an authentic part of town, this was great. The hotel was very beautifully decorated. We loved the Moroccan designs and patterns. The room was comfortable, extra blanket and a shower. There was plenty of plug sockets, lights and a safe. Food is provided if requested, as are trips recommendations and journeys back to the airport. All staff were very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us and accommodate our needs, and communicated in a variety of languages, such as English, Spanish, French etc. The room was secure and we were given keys to use throughout our stay.

Cons: Whilst the kitchen was open, the staff went out of their way to help provide for us. However, once closed, there was nothing available to help ourselves such as drink making facilities that we could access in the room or communal areas. It would be beneficial to have either a tea or coffee maker for guests to help themselves or/and a drinks machine for water or soft drinks. The hotel provided food for breakfast and dinner, if requested. We were a bit disappointed with the food. On the first evening we were given Moroccan Tagine, which was very flavourful. My husband enjoyed his and found it filling as he had the chicken. But the vegetarian option was just the vegetables, nothing else. A few slices of potatoes, sliced carrot and half a tin of peas. That was considered an acceptable vegetarian meal! There wasn't a menu and we had no idea what we were getting until it arrived. I think we were charged far too much for the quantity given, especially the veggie options, which was essentially the accompanying vegetables for the meat dish. The breakfast was described as Mediterranean. But sadly, it was not. The tiny pancakes and crepes were absolutely delicious, and had they offered us more I probably wouldn't be mentioning the breakfast now. However, besides the small crepe or pancake, there was a small piece of fruit (no choice), dry, stale bread (not toast), and a cake or biscuit. No cereal, yoghurts, choice of fruits, pastries, toast, eggs. It was more like a snack than a meal. Which was a shame, because the staff were so very lovely and helpful. I think if they could add to their menu, including a reasonable veggie option, add more choice to the breakfast and make drinks available in the rooms or communal area, I would give it 10/10. I would stay again, but eat somewhere else.

Rooms were nice and clean. The staff was super available and very very welcoming. Discreet and peaceful atmosphere as there aren't many rooms. The riad is like a home and gives you the feel of the Moroccan tradition. Very quiet. The area in which the riad is located is about 25 min walk to the main square and only 5 min to the "busy area.

Fatima the cook was excellent, spoke English, Spanish, Arabic and Berber. The cleaner was great also...she understood English and did an excellent job. Thank you to Mohammed for taking me to the pharmacy when I was so ill.

Cons: The other employee Mo Mo was aggressive with trying to sell excursions, rude, did not speak English, angry and was the driver who was supposed to pick us up at the airport who didn't pick us up. He did not give us a receipt when we left so at the last minute we paid a lot more money in cash that we did not expect. The place is very hard to find,, luggage in a wheelbarrow has to transported..narrow streets and no mention of this online

Our stay in Sable Chaud was so memorable. The help, friendliness and welcome that we recieved from Fatima, MoMo and the fabulous housekeeper made our stay in this beautiful city all the better. MoMo's help and patience was invaluble and Fatimas superb soups just have to be tried together with the local bread. The rooftop terrace was just so welcome to just sit and relax in. All the staff went over and above and nothing was an issue. Stayed with family, 4 of us in the room. Clean, spacious and gives you the best Moroccan experience. Rooftop is an added bonus to relax. Amazing neighbourhood you will come back with lots of friends in Morocco. I am already planning the next trip and could not recommend it enough. Mum was always up for helping about exertions and dinner in the evening. Location is wonderful. Everything is so readily available So I have to get out and local market is open till early hours of the morning restaurants, restaurants, shops, and walking distance to all the immunities, Saida was very sweet and made sure we had everything in the rooms available without ever asking for it. Nice place to stay. Very friendly ladies who cooked and tied up our rooms.

Cons: 1. I arranged with Riad to be picked up from the airport since we were arriving late. Driver was waiting outside which was nice. When we got to medina he stopped and said that manager from riad will come for us. Meanwhile I sent message with question who do I pay ? The driver or at riad - service wasn't good so I didn't get answer right away. The "manager" came and walked us to riad. When we walked in I asked "do I pay you?" He said " you pay me" so I gave him 20 euros for the cab as it was arranged. Then the front desk person ( I forgot his name ) said no you pay me and he told the "manager " who walked us to give money back and they started to argue. "Manager" gave money back and he was clearly upset and front desk person said give some money to my friend. I gave him 2 euros ( all I had in change) and he looked with grim on his face and said no and gave it back. During payment for our stay , front desk person repeated few more times to give some money for his friend. This was very interesting encounter and uncomfortable at the same time, since the :manager" who walked us appeared to live/ hang out in the building across from riad and we would see him everytime we would leave/ come back . 2. No locks on doors - I fel little uneasy to leave door unlocked- I know it's small riad and staff has control who walks in but lock gives you some piece of mind ( other riads I stayed in had that option.

Stunning Riad, absolutely beautiful architecture.Plenty of outdoor space for relaxing and chill in the heart of busy and noisy Medina. Staff was very friendly and made sure that all our needs and requirements were met. Rooms cleaned daily. Nice Breakfast, but you gotta ask for an omlette, otherwise it's pretty basic. Very tasty coffee, fresh orange juice, fruits, jam and some fresh bread.

The riad was decorated in a typical Maroccan style, my room was spacious and comfortable. The overall atmosphere in the riad was very calm, friendly and felt like a home. All the stuff of the riad was very friendly and helpful. The riad was very silent. Although it was quite far from Jema alFna, there were many shop all way long, so this was a nice walk. Also it was close to the gate of the old Medina and it was easy to walk to a nearest spot where you can find a taxi. Riad can be easily found by Google maps. I overall enjoyed my stay a lot.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that there was no key from the main door, so you need to knock and wait for somebody to open which didn't feel comfortable.

very nice room with a big bathroom, comfortable bed and very nice decorations. The ladies at the Rihad were very very nice and kind, while breakfast was amazing, absolutely recommended!

Cons: water of the shower was a little cold the evening we arrived but it got better the next day. The Rihad is a little difficult to find when it’s dark but many children are there ready to help you find it.

Everything! Momo was always available for me when I needed. He suggest two unforgettable trips (day hike in the Atlas and three day trip in the dessert). The property was super clean. The cleaning ladies were there everyday and I found a clean bedroom with a newly made bed everyday. I also loved working on the terrasse. Gorgeous! And really not too far from the souk.

Cons: Nothing.

I and my wife really enjoyed our stay at Riad Sable Chaud. I wanted to go for something more traditional than a hotel, and staying at this Riad was definitely what I wanted. The room was tidy when we arrived and the working assistant made sure it was kept spotless. The staff at the Riad were amazing, especially the sister who cleaned up the rooms. The breakfast and mint tea was a nice touch too, however, we did not eat lunch or dinner at the Riad so I cannot comment on that. The showers had hot water which was great. The location is good too, a 20-minute (ish) walk and you can get to Koutobia, Jemaa el Frna, Souks, etc.

Cons: The only thing I would like to improve is that the double bed we had (which was very comfortable) was made up of 2 mattresses joined together. We didn't really notice until after a couple of nights as the gap between the mattresses became wider. However, saying that, the bed and mattresses were very comfortable.

Great location, super good breakfast and the rooftop is just awesome. If you have a chance, book a massage at this place - you will not regret!

Cons: You don't get the key to the property, so every time you come back you have to wait for somebody to open the door.

The staff was amazing overall, really helpful and available 24h, the property is small and does feel homely.

Cons: The location was difficult to be find by drivers and not accessible by cars. The property has an advantage of a family but the smallness made it too noisy and crowded with the guest.

- Very welcoming staff, offering a mint tea at arrival - High quality design (rooms, hall, rooftop) - Quiet, private

Cons: - Rooftop pool/tub could be at least four times bigger, as there is enough space for it. It's a nice looking feature, but only for design rather than usage - Location is little too boring. You would need to walk about 15 mins to busy streets of Medina.

We stayed for a week at the Riad and it was perfect. The building is cool, beautiful and well decorated. The plunge pool was such a bonus. Very clean and well kept by Fatima who was a delight, always with a massive friendly smile. We dined one evening there, absolutely delicious, and had the best breakfasts every moring served by Sabri. Perfect location for a walk to the palace, Jemaa el-fnaa, souks etc. and Momo can organise many trips further affield. I highly recommend it. Thank you!

very clean place thanks to the two women who work there, very helpful and kind. really nice. Unlike Momo, the gentleman who welcomed us on the first day was helpful, kind and in the following days we had a mix-up for arrangements made for excursions and from that moment on he was very grumpy towards us. he didn't even say hello to us when we left, and we waited 30 minutes for the taxi to go back to the airport. very clean place, everything perfect, except for the behavior of Momo.

We enjoyed staying and appreciated the friendly staffs help. We were met a few minutes away and Mohamed carried our bags al the way back to the Riad. Really nice man. The rooms were pleasant and we enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace. I didn’t feel so well one morning and the lady that serves breakfast prepared me a potion to drink that got me ready to roam the markets in minutes

The staff are very friendly and even though there are no locks on the doors you feel very safe and they even wash your dirty clothes for you and tidy your room. Its a great personal experience as its a small Riad.

The staff was incredible and such generous people. They helped set up tours and walked us to places we had no idea how to get to. It was really great to get to know them - they shared local instruments they were able to play, techniques for making great tea, and key phrases to use around the city.

This is a small 5 bedroom Riad in a quiet part of the Medina (Which turned out to be a bit of a walk to the main square). We were greeted by the housekeeping staff, who remained very helpful during our stay. The breakfast in the courtyard each morning was very good with fresh fruits, crepes and eggs. The room was smaller than expected, and we had a few communication issues but overall the stay was positive. Be prepared to walk quite a bit, and bring comfy shoes!

We staid in this Riad for 6 night in late January and the experience was very satisfactory. It is located on walking distance from the main attractions and very close to the souq. The staff is polite and speak English and they are willing to help with recommendation and suggestions. The building is old style but refurbished and does not certainly luck charm and atmosphere. If you are looking for a different experience, away from the usual big hotel chains (which you can find in the new part of town, by the way) I fully recommend this Riad.

Two friends and I booked the Riad Sable Chaud (RSC) for a weekend break in Marrakesh. It was the first time any of us had visited Marrakesh and the RSC is the ideal place for a first visit. The location: the location is very convenient. It is towards the west side of the medina and so only a short walk to Le Jardin Majorelle and Musee Yves Saint Laurent Marrakesh. Although almost sights in and around the medina are no more than 20 minutes walk away. I particularly appreciated the location of the RSC because it’s not in a particularly touristy location and you get to see more of local life. It is close to a wet market and the hassling you get from the more touristy areas is not so evident around the location of the RSC. The accommodation: the simple and bland front door opens up to reveal a simple, tranquil and beautiful oasis in the middle of the chaos that is Marrakesh. There is a beautiful courtyard with it’s own palm tree and mini jacuzzi pool and plenty of space to lounge. The rooms are simple, very tastefully decorated, clean spacious and comfortable. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, but no bathtubs. There is a roof terrace with ample space to relax in the sun. The staff: Mohamed, Fatima and the other staff are the most helpful and welcoming hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they will help with directions and local recommendations. We felt totally relaxed around them and were sad to say goodbye when we were leaving. They speak English, French and Arabic.

Very enjoyable stay for 7 nights. Friendly staff that is always there to help out no matter what the problem is. First time it is a little hard to find it but that's most Riads in old Town, very lovely and peaceful inside.

The Riad is in a poorly lit alleyway in the Medina, which was dark at night and didn't feel safe for a woman to walk to it on her own. Compared with the Riad at which we stayed in Fes, and another Marrakech Riad at which my friend stayed, the rooms and the food at Riad Sable Chaud were very mediocre. I stayed in Riad Sable Chaud twice, a week apart. For the second stay, I was downgraded to a tiny room next to the communal area, which was very noisy with guests arriving late at night, even though I had paid in advance for a more expensive room. The Manager wasn't very polite, however, the two female staff were gems - couldn't do enough to help.

Fantastic, reasonably priced small riad within the Medina walls but within easy walking distance of the Ville Nouvelle as well. We could not have been made more welcome - friendly staff, delightful owner. Nothing was too much trouble (including our growing addiction to the mint tea they served). This sort of hospitality is a rare thing these days, especially in more touristy areas, so we were very happy to find it - a real oasis of calm and tranquillity away from the souks. We will return to Morocco and will definitely be staying here again if we are in Marrakech.

The owner was extremely kind and made everything to help us. The place is very nice, cozy, has a home-feeling, very quiet. Breakfast is quite basic but you would not find much more in a four star in town. It is as it is. Warning: it's extremely hard to find (Nokia maps cannot track you to destination, at some point you need to start guessing in a labyrinth of narrow streets) but they can provide clear direction if you ask in advance.
