Youssef the host and his wife are really lovely people. They accommodated us in every way possible. The breakfast were really good and beds were comfortable. We appreciated the transfer arrangements as we required and the guide to get us to and from the souk.

Cons: The location did not suit us....the walking to and from souk wasn't that far but the constant danger of being run over or into from motorbikes was extremely irritating. We went to Marrakesh to find garden pots..we did not find what we wanted. As we drove to airport on last day we saw 100s of them 100m down the road from where we were staying. Mmmmm...

the host was more than excellent, best hosts I have ever experienced, they went over and beyond & happy to assist no matter what time of day or night - our stay was exceptional and would 100% go back to stay there.

Cons: It was the old medina which was what we wanted to experience so we didñ´t have a restaurant at our riad but we managed to experience a number of incredible culinery experiences & and spas so was just perfect.

Our host was an absolute treasure. He picked us up from outside the Medina (difficult for cars to travel inside) at very late hours in the dark, and dropped us off very early in the morning (also in the dark). He even bought us food for dinner upon request, and provided us with tea and biscuits upon entry. It has a lovely private terrace at the top for breakfast; the quiet surrounding area means sleeping was without external noise- fantastic. It's a beautiful riad.

Cons: The location was a 20 min walk to the main plaza of the Medina, which means that it wasn't recommended to return after 22:00 at the very latest.

The riad is beautiful and very quiet – a perfect place to relax after a day in the medina. We especially loved the terrace, where we enjoyed a rich and delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great: the walk to Jemaa el-Fna is easy, and it's also convenient to catch transport for trips outside the medina, as it's close to Bab Aylan where you can find shuttles and taxis. We were especially grateful to our host, Youssef, whose warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. He was always available and made us feel at home, offering helpful tips and taking great care of us. He’s a genuinely kind and generous person. What more can we say? We absolutely recommend staying here!

Riad Honey is a hidden oasis amongst the busy streets of Marrakesh. This may be the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The lower courtyard is beautiful and where Youssef the host brings you a pot of mint tea upon arrival. The stairs wind up to the flower lined rooftop where you eat breakfast and relax on the loungers. The rooms are authentic and beautifully styled with very comfortable beds and aircon. Breakfast was such good value for money, we loved the omelettes and fresh OJ. Youssef was the most attentive and caring host, you can tell he loves what he does.

Cons: Nothing, it was the best!

Youssef truly embodies Moroccan hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I felt less like I was staying in a hotel and more like I was welcomed into a home. If it's your first time in Morocco or North Africa and you're feeling a bit nervous, don’t worry—Youssef will make you feel completely at ease. He goes above and beyond to offer help, support, and a warm presence throughout your stay. A special mention also goes to the rest of the riad staff, who work tirelessly to keep the place immaculate and ensure you’re well looked after. All in all, a perfect memory and a magical stay in Marrakech—something truly worth framing.

Cons: The only minor inconvenience was the 15–20 minute walk to the center of the medina. However, being slightly outside the main tourist area turned out to be a unique advantage—it gave me the opportunity to experience a more authentic side of Marrakech. I got to see daily life in a local neighborhood: children walking to school and playing in the streets, residents shopping for fresh fruit from street vendors, and a genuine sense of community that you might miss in the more touristic parts of the city.

We had an outstanding stay. Youssef and his family were amazing hosts, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Cons: No complaints!

The Riad is strategically located in the Medina with the street food on the way to the main attraction! The Host and its family grated us with open arms, giving us the best tips for the city as well as the region. It’s easily accessible by taxi or by car, as you can leave the vehicle to a parking close by.

The staff was perfect, particularly Youcef, always available, he gave us everything we needed! A super nice interior patio, very calm and fresh.

Cons: Wifi connection and water pressure were not so good. But small problems compared to the service. You also need to consider that the hotel is a 20min walk to the center by noisy an busy streets. With our 3 years old girl was a difficult complicated.

Youssef was a wonderful host! After a warm welcome, he gave us a lot of information for our visit of Marrakesch. If we would have gone lost in the maze which the medina is, he would have come by and bring us back. The breakfast was nicely made and a good start in the morning. The room itself and the whole Riad (and of course the wonderful roof terrace) was very cozy. Would come back again!

We felt at home at Riad Honey. The riad is located in a more quiet area of the medina which is very relaxing. The rooms are pretty and the rooftop amazing. The best thing was how we were welcomed and felt at home. Youssef and the rest of the staff just made our stay in Marrakesh amazing. They prepared us great breakfast and Youssef helped us all the way through our stay, with itinerary, restaurants recommendations and taxi booking. He is simply the best!

Were to start. Riad honey was a beautiful guest house that feels like a home. Beautiful and rustic gave you the feel of living like a real Moroccan. But that is just the building. What makes a home is the people you stay with. Yousef, carim, and Ismail! These people made it feel like home. On the 1st day Yousef met us down the maze of alley ways to the spot the taxi could reach. Apon meeting him he took our bags and lead us to the riad. Our flight got in at 9pm and he and carim had a beautiful tagine and 3course meal waiting for us as they new we were getting in late. The hospitality was by far the best IV had and I have travelled the world for many years. The staff are impeccable. And as for Ismail and I we became great friends over the week.. anything from shopping and bartering for us to making amazing breakfasts and having knowledgeable conversations under the stars he was the man. I will be returning with my kids in the new year as it was safe clean and full of culture. Thank you guys for a beautiful week. Barhim your staff go above and beyond we are very thankful

The little indoor area and the rooftop were really nice and cosy ! It’s also pretty quiet considering it’s in the madina . There’s also a nice indoor space to sit in and have a little food in / I even took a zoom call there! The room was quite big and had a comfortable bed and some candles which was a nice touch! Also the bathroom was clean and nice !! But Youssef and the rest of the staff really made the stay really amazing. He helped us with everything basically and picked us up from the taxi , got our housing passes printed out, even got to get us food when we arrived really late. We could really trust him with everything it was really amazing !! Thanks so much for that :)

We had the most wonderful time staying at Riad Honey. Yousef and all his family were very hospitable and helpful (he even gave us his number in case we got lost in the souks!). The room was clean, the bed was larger than expected and very comfortable, and the courtyard and rooftop terrace were stunningly beautiful. Although the streets outside can be chaotic, the riad is a tranquil oasis that was a welcome relief from the excitement of Marrakech. Our favorite part was the Moroccan breakfast set out for us every morning, which we were often able to enjoy on the rooftop. They also provided us with water bottles every day and answered our questions about the city. We would absolutely recommend this riad to others visiting Marrakech.

Our stay at Riad Honey in Marrakesh was truly memorable, and much of that was thanks to Youssef and his incredible team. Youssef is an exceptional host—he went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel like we were staying with friends. His warmth, hospitality, and local knowledge really stood out and made a huge difference in our experience. The riad itself is simple but charming. It’s a bit further from the city center, so be prepared for a bit of a walk to the main attractions. While the amenities are basic, the hospitality from Youssef and his team more than makes up for it. Their genuine care and attention to detail truly made our stay special, and I would return to Riad Honey in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a more intimate, personalized experience in Marrakesh, this is the place to stay!

A warm welcome with mint tea and cookies from host Yousef. We were allowed to choose from the available rooms. He provided us with helpful information about local attractions and a map. Always friendly and helpful. Each evening, we could choose our preferred breakfast time for the next morning. Fresh towels were provided daily. Definitely a recommended place to stay!

Cons: We would have appreciated a bit more variety in the breakfast. It’s definitely a good breakfast if you’re staying just once. There’s a choice of mint tea or coffee, fresh orange juice, butter, cheese, cream cheese, jam, honey, bread, and yogurt. You can specify how you’d like your eggs. We missed having a piece of fruit and a different selection of bread, such as "Baghrir" and "Msemmen."

We felt completely welcomed by the wonderful host family, who invited us to treat the Riad as our home. Youssef went out of his way to help us make the most of our first trip to Marrakech, offering advice on everything from how to navigate the maze-like Medina to bargaining in the Souks and arranging (and escorting us to) transport to Guéliz during the week and to the airport on our last day. They cooked for us for our first night as we arrived between 8 and 9pm - a great introduction to Moroccan cuisine - so good we had another meal at the Riad midweek. Wonderful breakfasts on the roof terrace.

Cons: We loved the very real Marrakech spirit of the surrounding area, which is in the Medina but close to one of the eastern gates (Bab Aylen) about a 20 minute walk to Place Jemaa el Fna and the Souks - it may be too far for some.

Very hospitable and he gave us lot of nice advices and tips what to do in Marrakech. I asked for iron box which they did not have at the property but he immediatelly found a solution - he brought it to a local laundry service and i had it back within few minutes! This riad is charming and quite peaceful. i liked the decor and the rooftop patio. staff were kind and went far out of their way to ensure guests are taken care of i found the location fine, just keep in mind if you have children or any mobility issues, or is a little bit of a walk- especially in summer this might be a little inconvenient

Cons: there was nothing wrong, I just found that for my own personal preference, I think there is better value for money to be found. compared to other riads I’ve stayed in, the price was relatively high, and the room fairly average. breakfast was a little disappointing, being less varied and with none of the traditional food highlights that one might love to have again while visiting morocco. shower facilities overflowed into the bathroom quite easily.

The staff aren't the absolute best! I had an eye infection when I arrived and I have a gluten allergy (which is a nightmare in Morocco with all their delicious gluten full food!!) and they've went out of their way and beyond to help and accommodate me. They helped us with the transport a lot as well. Hospitality is in the core of Moroccan culture as it is, but Youssef, Karima and Brahim even exceed the already high standards. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. It's very authentic and has an intimate atmosphere. The roof terrace is beautiful.

Cons: The location is a little remote. It's still the Medina but maybe a 15 min walk to the parts where most restaurants are located. Which wouldn't be an issue, however with a 4 year old child it was a little more challenging as it was warm and he didn't want to walk. We just used Tuk tuks or taxi's for the the commute which was fine.

The owner (Youssef) and the rest of his family went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They served us a pretty decent breakfast every morning in the upper terrace and offered us great advice for Marrakesh. Also I've read in some comments that some people might find this road a bit difficult to find. Indeed the very first time it's not so obvious. But then Youssef drew us a very simple map that we only used once. It's really not that difficult.

This riad is really, really, good. The location is on the outskirts of the medina which is handy because there's a gate really close. The only downside to this riad is that it seems to be located very, very close to multiple speakers used for the morning prayer, and the amplification effect is intense so make sure to pack earplugs. The riad itself is pure bliss, an oasis away from the busy hustle and bustle. We stayed on a room on the top floor, and the breakfast on the terrace there is just to die for. But the riad's real hidden secret is Yussuf, who is the star of all of this. He is incredibly kind and helpful and will explain everything you need to know about Marrakech to have a great stay. He won't hesitate to help you get a cab, find your way or help negotiate items for you at the Souk. He's the absolute best! We had a great 3-night stay there. Highly recommended.
