This property offers the opportunity to live the experience of a traditional Morrocan individual. Location is 20-25 min walking from common touristic places. Neighborhood was not the best as many houses around were destroyed, and for some visitors that could be a downer. The neighborhood might feel unsafe, but we walked late at night with no issues. The Riad is well maintained and the welcoming and kindness of the staff are second to none. They include breakfast which is very good. We ordered a special Morrocan dinner which was excellent. Mohammed, Nordine and Ilham are some of the staff members, all of them really nice and helpful people. I think the staff is the best asset of this property. I would recommend this place as long as you are willing to live the experience of a traditional neighborhood in Marrakech.

Really nice Riad with amazing hospitality and even better food! Not quite as convenient as some other Riads in the Médina, but still walkable to gardens, souks, main square, museums and palaces.

We had the most amazing time traveling to Morocco ... especially our stay at ZamZam Riad! Marcus, the owner, was so delightful & very responsive (as I had many questions well in advance of arriving). We landed in Casablanca & he was able to coordinate a car to pick us up & drive us to Marrakech. Upon arrival, we were greeted by one of the lovely staff members & indulged in our first delicious Moroccan meal made by their chef. The Riad is located in the heart of a traditional neighborhood - which is what we wanted. The roads are unpaved & lacked street signs (be prepared to drag your luggage for a few short windy blocks) ... but that’s part of the charm. Even during early evening hours, we never felt unsafe (but engage with locals/kids offering to provide directions or convincing you that you’re heading in the wrong direction ... it’s a known ploy to distract & get you to pay for their help). If needed, we had direct access to text the Riad staff. The room was spacious & beautifully adorned. The Riad was very tranquil in contrast to the bustling exterior. Riad ZamZam was our home away from home & would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat! NOTE: I highly advise scheduling a private guided walking tour on your first day (Marcus can set this up). This will help you to quickly acclimate to the surroundings & understand some of the local history, customs ... & aggressive negotiating tactics at the Souks (I got really good ... never pay full price ... HaHa)!

From the pick-up at the airport until our departure, Riad Zam Zam staff couldn't have been more wonderful. And the Riad itself is just beautiful. Filled with gorgeous touches, an oasis with a swaying palm right in the middle of all the vibrant hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Every evening upon our return we had tea waiting, the night we stayed 'in' for dinner meant a flavorful and magnificent meal. If you need it, WiFi is there and dependable...just can't say enough about how the breakfast on the roof just started each day wonderfully. Its location in the Medina, yet on the edges of the super busy and crowded spots made it a real haven. You walked down the alley and the doors opened to a small pool and garden that was lovely beyond words. Worth finding...it is tucked away and almost like an adventure when you set out to locate it -- but once found, unbeatable. Definitely suggest the airport pick-up which was arranged by Riad Zam Zam so that you find it easily on the first go. Bottom-line -- wish we could have stayed even longer just to experience more!!

Fantastic little hotel! The staff is top notch and goes WAY out of the way to make your stay as pleasant as possible, beginning before you arrive. Emails with questions and requests were immediately answered. They prepared a dinner especially for us (we have multiple eating issues including severe allergies) and had it ready for us when we arrived even though our flight was 2 hours late, and it was the best meal we ate in Marrakech. The rooms were luxurious and the whole hotel is decorated with beautiful Moroccan craft items. They changed our room when we mentioned that it was a bit noisy for us. Breakfasts were incredible and served either on the roof terrace or in the inside courtyard. The hotel is a bit hidden down some twisty passages, but we always felt safe walking there and back, and they are great about coming to fetch you if you are lost in the Medina. They also sent a car to bring us back and forth from the airport. Note that the taxi drops you a few blocks from the hotel, but the hotel sends someone to escort you there and bring your luggage. So it's not a great place to stay if you have mobility issues.

Lovely riad with fantastic breakfast, staff and amenities. Great hot water, great sized room and double bed. Sunset drinks on the roof terrace were lovely. The staff went above and beyond to assist us in organising guides, booking restaurants and finding our way! It's located in the north of the medina, more if a locals area and much more difficult to find your way to/from than the riads closer to the square. But perfect if you want to be away from all the tourists and don't mind getting lost amongst the medina.

Was a last minute booking, greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome. Only stayed a few nights, wished it could have been longer. We were given good advice and tips. Very accommodating and willing to help with our first visit to Marrakech. Highly recommended.

Hotel was great. Cannot really fault it, only giving fours as fives would suggest there is nothing the hotel could improve or do better. Staff were always available, and walked us to restaurants, gave advice on where to go. If someone asked me for a somewhere to stay in Marrakesh, I would recommend this place. room was clean, not to far from main areas, 20minute walk.

I was thrilled to stay at Zamzam Riad. Everything was perfect, staff are all amazing. Its in a local part of town and thats what makes it magical. Definetly need assistance finding it the first time but that can be easily set up before. Wonderland city, wonderful hotel!

It is on the north part of the medina, which is a bit rougher, but we never felt insecure. Easy to walk to and from from the outside the medina

The Zam Zam is a very well run and beautufuly designed Riad north (25 minute walk) of the main square. Now 4 years old it is well looked after. Our room downstairs was quite small and because it was on the ground floor felt quite noisy. However I saw other rooms on higher floors and they seemed superb. The staff, especially Fiasal, were top notch and were extremely helpful. Breakfast was fantastic!
