We really enjoyed this Riad. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was just amazing, with many delicious dairy-free options; we liked the fact that every day was a bit different. The structure was very characteristic with typical decorations, suggestive lighting and jasmine perfume. The position is very central in the Medina- the street of the Riad is very quiet but in just one minute you find yourself right in the Main Street. We 100% recommend it!
Cons: The beautiful structure includes a small pool, which is very decorative/ ornamental, but not suitable for swimming.

Consigliato!

This place is stunning, the rooms are great and we did a spa day + dinner there to rest. The managers, Ayoub & Fahd are amazing—they came and got us when we got lost and helped us navigate the Medina with ease. In fact, this Riad saved our vacation. Let me explain…we were stuck in Heathrow (geopolitical issues and the plane was late, by 3 hours) & we were going to arrive at 12 in Casablanca & miss our hot air ballooning trip in the morning at 5am. I reached out to the owner to ask about how to get from Casablanca to the Riad at 1am, HER TAXI CAME AND GOT US (yes, we paid, but happily—as we would have missed the hot air balloon ride). We arrived at the Riad at 4am, with one hour to drink coffee, get into the room and freshen up. This Riad helped us get our bucket list item checked and saved the day. This property is a must when visiting Marrakesh. You can have a restful day doing a Hammam, massage & then into the pool + dinner, plus you are in the Medina! It’s incredible. The food was better than the restaurants in the area too. Can’t recommend enough. I still get a bit teary thinking of how much effort they put into helping us make it to our ballooning! Oh, and I lost my cane in London—they HAD A CANE THERE, it was exactly the right size. I will be back, my entire family adored staying here—it felt like home.

Location in the Medina was very difficult to find. Only accessible on foot, very wearing on little suitcase wheels! A cart or tuc-tuc would have been useful on arrival at nearest access point. Staff excellent, helpful and accessible. The breakfast was very good and my birthday dinner for 10 was super tasty and a great introduction to Moroccan cuisine.

Loved everything at the Riad, was always greeted with smiles by Fyad and the Ayoub, they were so accommodating in all our questions and needs. One morning we couldn't do early breakfast due to tour, so Ayoub got the staff to make a small lunch pack. Great tips and advice on where to go and how to navigate the Medina. The room was always cleaned everyday, good air-condition and amenties, suoer spacious room with lovely decor and comfortable bed. Loved our stay. The Morrocan breakfasts everyday were the absolute BEST!! Would definitely come back here.

Spacious, comfortable rooms. Bathroom with all amenities. Small refreshing pool that felt incredibly good in August! Excellent breakfast. Communication with the riad. Transfers on time. An excellent experience!

This Riad was amazing!!! It was beautiful. But the true gem was my Riad host Fahad. He was my knight in shining armor. Upon arrival I was a little taken back by the surroundings. However within a couple hours he had me feeling at ease and even on the back of his moped. This Riad is breathtaking.

We loved this Riad. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room, court yard and balcony were great. The food was wonderful nd it was so nice to have a place to just hang out and relax. The location was very convenient to the market, square and historical buildings. The only warning is you have to walk to about 1/2 mile to get to it and there are lots of little stairs in the riad. If you have mobiliy issues this might not be the right choice for you.

It’s a beautiful Riad with amazing plants around the pool, well styled rooms, and a lovely rooftop with a variety of seating and great views. Breakfast was delicious. We arrived late and the staff were very accommodating. We managed to find our way by using maps.me as we had no data or sim - the door was marked and simple enough to find. It was a good central location for exploring the medina.

I highly recommend this hotel. The next time we’re going to Marrakech, Riad Les Ammonites will be our first choice because we loved our stay. Facilities and the quality of service were excellent. There were usb outlets on the wall which helped us recharging our phones so conveniently. Breakfast was so delicious homemade and so fresh so we didn’t think about having breakfast outside. The staff were super super friendly and passionate about their hotel and also making sure guests are comfortable. Fahd and the crew were so friendly. He showed us around the hotel, gave us great guidance and provided whatever we needed as if we were literally staying in their own house. They went above and beyond and made our stay so pleasant and memorable. Thanks again :)

The absolute best thing about the Riad were the wonderful staff. Fahd and the team were super at making us feel welcome, providing laughs and recommendations and being real 'gems' of Morocco! Thank you for everything you did to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We've already recommended the Riad to others and told to factor in a lovely conversation with Fahd, Ayoub and the team as part of their stay. Room was airy, peaceful and beautifully decorated. Large bathroom with great showers and super soft towels. Lovely biscuits and tea offered on arrival, and plenty of place to relax in the common area when it was raining outside. Terrace on the roof gives a really lovely view of the surrounding area and we recommend having a drink up there.
Cons: - Airport shuttle, would be great if we could be sent a map about how to travel from the drop off to the Riad, perhaps Maps.Me sent before we arrived? - The owner was visiting at the time, and it would have been nice for her to engage a little with those of us in the court yard, especially as our meal was interrupted and delayed by her arrival / going for dinner, which made us feel like we were intruding on her space.

I loved everything about this stay- the location, the ambience, amenities, staff, rooms, food! This riad is located right in the center of the medina - Jemaa al fnaa is located 9 minutes by walking. Fahd was a gem of a person and so kind, courteous and helpful throughout our stay. He went out of his way to attend to us at multiple occasions and we were sincerely thankful. Overall it's a great place to stay if you are looking for something that's something great but not hurting your pocket!
Cons: It's at the end of a lane with a narrow alleyway. But Morroco is safe and the staff can always meet you at the main road if required.

Unfortunately I am not able to recommend this hotel. Location is not bad, the service is fine too but only if you don’t get in direct contact with the owner Cinzia. As far as I am concerned she is a person who doesn’t respect her customers. During our stay our privacy was brutally disrupted – they have decided to paint the windows inside our room! It was entered by unknown persons who were not even employees of the hotel. And up to this moment I am not sure that none of our personal belongings are missing as they were moved around. The room smelled of fresh paint and it was impossible and dangerous to stay in it. I made them give us another room for the rest of our stay even though they wanted to give it for a night only saying that the hotel was fully booked. I told the hotel that such a behavior was totally unacceptable and asked for one night compensation. At that point Cinzia just stopped communicating – she didn’t take calls nor answered mails. Only when I wrote that I am going to try to solve the situation through expedia/hotels.com I got an answer that I menace her with Expedia and she will give no compensation at all. And another thing: the hotel is not cheap by Marrakech standards but the breakfast there is no better than one typically expects in a hostel. Unless you like to fill your belly with a lot of dough in different forms accompanied by a very bad coffee and glass of acid orange juice this is not your place.

We (late 20s female travellers) could not recommend Riad Les Ammonites enough. From the welcome with mint tea and kind words to being guided to our transfer at the end of the trip, they could not have done more to help us. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful, safe, clean and an oasis of calm in the bustle of Marrakech medina. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. But the staff are even better. They helped us with everything, from restuarant recommendations, organising massages, and even preparing dinners and sourcing wine when we decided on a whim to stay in one night. Nothing is too much trouble, and we simply could not recommend Les Ammonites and all its lovely staff enough. We are already planning our next trip - THANK YOU LES AMMONITES!

It's in a great location, small shops to buy water in are close by, it's close to the markets and smaller square market and only about a 5-10 minute walk to Jemma el fna. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they stayed up very late when our flight was delayed to greet us from our taxi. I would recommend maps.me as a map to locate the Riad as the side roads it's on are quite confusing to navigate when you're trying to find the Riad for the first time. The breakfast was really good, there were large portions every morning that changed slightly each day and they made hot drinks on request and really flexible times on when you could eat. The interior aesthetics were nice and tranquil. The wifi worked well in our ground floor room.
Cons: There was a very small bottle of water left in the fridge on the first day, but it didn't get topped up after that so you have to buy lots when you're out. We stayed in the bottom floor room which opened out onto the open square area of the Riad which meant we couldn't open the windows and doors and made the room very dark, I would try to stay upstairs, the beds are also very hard. The taxi service they offer is quite expensive, we wanted to go to the bus station which is half the distance compared to the airport but it was a set same price for all journeys, so would have been £18 for their service compared to £5 for a local taxi. The pool isn't heated so it's a bit cold and therefore it was hardly used.

Great location and pleasant staff. Apart from wall sockets, intermittent WiFi and a light not working. This place would be perfect. After pointing these out, hotel was quick to respond

The riad was lovely and Francesca and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking to explore the Medina. There's also a great view from the roof, be sure not to miss it!

Riad was really run down and not in a very nice area. Really inconvenient to get to. The bathroom was OK but the toilet was leaking from the commode, yuck!! Bedsheet had a red stain on it. There was a spa but did not have any water in it. The breakfast was horrible and everything was out of the box and just warmed up. No one there to ask for any eggs or anything, The staff was nice and tried their best but couldn't make up for bad management!! I definitely would not stay there again.

Nice Riad in Medina. Relaxing and calm atmosphere. Nice rooftop. Good location, but you need to walk a bit from the taxa, the Riad is in and arrow street, where you have to be aware of young "very politely" boys, they are watching out and they want your money (once a young boy around 10 suceeded to open my stomackpurse, while elder boys talked to me). At the Riad they said, dont talk to the boys in the street!

Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time but most places are in the Medina. Once you know your way its easy enough to find. They also give you a map and helpful app for directions to the markets. Would highly recommend.

Riad Les Ammonites was the perfect place to stay on our trip to Marrakech. The staff (especially Fehd & Francesca) is incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond to make your trip fantastic. The excursions we booked through the hotel were all reasonably priced, smoothly executed, and made the whole trip more fun. Best of all, the Riad employs an authentic Moroccan chef and the food is incredible (better than any of the restaurants or street food in the actual Medina that we tried). Some food tips to travelers: try the Khili (Egg) Tagine for breakfast at least once. Try the chicken tagine for dinner w/ an affordable bottle of wine at least once as well. We had dinner at the riad 3 out of the 4 nights we were there and wished we hadn't gone out for dinner at all! SAFETY RELATED: Having cellular internet and mapping directions to the hotel is really important. At night, being able to follow those directions back is crucial. In addition, NO STREET IS EVER CLOSED IN THE MEDINA. Saying this is a primary tactic of many locals to keep tourists in the Medina and guiding them away from their "hotel" while they are lost, then demanding a large tip for their "services" were possibly the only negative experience we had in Morocco. Once we caught onto this tactic, Marrakech felt much safer at night.

The Riad is very beautiful, clean and very cozy. The rooms are decorated traditionally and very nicely. Breakfast was included and very good. Dinner was inexpensive and delicious. Francesca the manager is super nice and helpful and makes your stay much easier. Just the location. The Riad is in Old Medina and in a very dark and narrow alley (no driving possible) We were afraid to go out after dark. Other than that is is a beautiful place!!!

We really enjoyed our five nights at Les Ammonites. Francesca was quick to respond to our emails beforehand and was a great host during our time. The Riad is very nice, quiet, and clean. We took a cooking class at the Riad which was really enjoyable. Francesca set up a driver to pick us up at the airport and bring us back at the end of our trip. Everything was really, very nice.

This was a real experience of the traditional Morocco staying in a Riad in the middle of the Medina. If you're looking for a fancy 5 star hotel with all the amenities I suggest you look elsewhere. If you want a taste of the traditional Morocco with great views of the Medina from the rooftop terrace, a traditional room with authentic decor and a real Moroccan breakfast this is the place for you. The staff couldn't be more friendly, its as if they are host to you being a guest in their home, its a more intimate experience than a hotel.

Second visit to city. Riad was great. Friendly staff, lovely room. Great bed and shower. Food was so tasty. Make sure you have at least one evening meal. Location in medina was central , easy to navigatensure and minutes from everywhere. Book and you will not be disappointed.

Staff really friendly. Food was good. Room was nice. Only thing that let the place down is the location. Its in the old town in the middle of all the souks which are a maze of tiny winding streets. Very hard to find your way around and taxis cant fit up them to take you home. Area is very dodgy at night

We had a great 4 night stay in this riad earlier in the year. Houda and her team made us feel very welcome. The riad is lovely and the rooms are full of character. The breakfast was an absolute highlight - different every day and always so tasty. My top tip would be to contact Houda ahead to arrange an airport transfer - this riad is off the beaten track, and you will need someone to guide you there. I would also recommend asking Houda to arrange a guided tour for you on your first morning, a great way to immerse yourself and help you get your bearings. The rooms are cool and relaxing, and the riad is always full of a lovely aroma of burning fragrant oils. Good location close to the markets, ben youssef madresa and the photography museum, which was a real highlight. We did find that the riad was a little isolated and we didn't feel comfortable walking around at night, so grab dinner out early and relax in the riad courtyard with a Casablanca beer after dark.

This Riad was excellent, staff was very nice and within 10 minutes relaxing walk from the main square. My room was big and spacious, with big windows facing the courtyard, comfortable bed, and a nice, big bathroom, very relaxing after dealing with the hustle and bustle of Medina. My only complaint is about the breakfast (which I found in all the Riads I stayed throughout the Morocco) which is heavy on carbs and sweet stuff. I think adding some fresh fruits and eggs would make it better.

Wonderful quiet space hidden away in the alleyways of the Medina. Definitely recommend booking taxi via Houda at the Riad to get you there and guide you in. Not expensive but really good value for money

The Riad is beautiful, we would highly recommend it, service fantastic, welcomed and the homemade chicken and lemon tagine is lovely, served in front of a real fire, it was December after all! Riad hard to find, bit of difficulty with the locals who insisted on taking us there, then demanded money and apparently what we gave them was not enough, riad owner had to step in, its about 15-20 mins walk to the main square, all in all a good place to stay and the roof terrace is very peaceful.

Houda and her staff are the reason to stay at Riad Les Ammonities. Marrakech can be tricky to navigate, and they were unfailingly helpful and kind. Had breakfast and dinner in the riad and the food was fresh and delicious. Kudos to all of them for a job well done.

This place was really lovely and we enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed twice during our visit to Morocco so got to experience 2 different rooms (both fabulous). Jamal, the night guardian is wonderful; friendly and attentive. The food is amazing - the dinner was actually the best meal we ate in Morocco (and we had some really enjoyable meals!). The Riad is about 10-15 minutes from the main square and easy to find once you've been there once.

Hotel itself is amazing, really beautful old Riad in the heart of MArrakech Medina. the staff were vry helpful and friendly, very helpful with directions and information. Only negative is that it is so hard to find the Riad - with all places in he Medina you just cannot find them easily, the place is a maze. So really it is not the fault of the hotel more and issue with Marrakch that we had.

Lovely stay at the Ammonites with a very warm welcome from Hourria and her team. Lovely food, great hammam and massage. Situated in the heart of the Medina but in a quiet and secure area. I loved Marrakech and hope to hope back another time. I recommend the Medina. The food is extremelly good and the breakfast gorgeous, fresh fruits, fresh yogurts, pancakes. We went there for 3 days to celebrate a big birthday for me. Hourria sorted out the transport from and to the airport and had procured some lovely Freixenet so we could have a bottle every day plus some beers for my husbands. Lovely rooms very comfortable bed and nicely furnished.

The Riad was very nice. Very comfortable, great food, fantastic staff. They did everything to help us, including (1) picking us up at the airport (2) arranging for a guide to show us around (3) arranging for someone to walk us to the square for dinner (4) gave us a fantastic cooking class and (5) cooked us some fantastic meals. Hoouda and her staff are what makes this Riad a great place to stay. I highly recommend them and the Riad.

I booked this for a five-night stay. I wanted somewhere in the old city, where I could walk out and be in the heart of the Medina and this was perfect. A lot of the reviews mention that it's hard to find the Riad. Let's be realistic: the Medina is a maze of hundreds of tiny streets stretching for miles, winding around old buildings. There are no straight lines, there aren't many road signs, and four-wheeled vehicles can't reach down some streets. EVERYTHING is hard to find! But if you're worried, the best thing by far is to ask the hotel to arrange a taxi from the airport, who will take you to the nearest point accessible and there a porter will take you the rest of the way on foot. Just like Venice, but way more exotic! If you ignore the mopeds, you'd think that the Medina hasn't changed in hundreds of years. Anyway, back to the Riad. I was welcomed warmly on arrival (by Houda, who is great) and shown around the property. There's a terrace on the roof, a courtyard inside, a tiny little dining room of maybe four or five tables and (I think) about seven or eight bedrooms maximum. So it's a very intimate and personal place, not like a hotel. My room was big -- I had a very comfortable double bed, a large chaise longue, a good-sized bathroom and a fairly small wardrobe (just as well I didn't have a lot of clothes!). The WiFi is very good indeed throughout the Riad: better than most hotels and airports. Breakfast was excellent -- and they seemed to be very flexible about what

Staff very helpful, lovely welcome but not as fresh and high quality as the photos suggest. Rooms not linked from the central atrium so dont get the true Riad experience. Location noisy from people walking outside the entrance, noise really carries which was a shame as disturbed sleep.Main issue was the location, we had to pay guides to find our way to the Riad and again to find it inthe evening..50DHR later! The taxi drivers couldnt find it easily either. Check the location and bring a detailed map and you may be OK.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Menzeh suite (the best room I think). The Riad is wonderfully quiet and tucked away just north of the souks. It would be difficult to find for the first time, unless you are pretty good with a map, but once you have your bearings then it is easy to find, down a quiet street. Houda was very accommodating, booking a wonderful Hammam experience for my wife and I and generally being very helpful. The breakfast is quite varied and plentiful, service is also very good. We ate at the Riad on the first night and the food was great and very reasonable. There is a nice roof top terrace to sunbath and relax. I would definitely recommend this Riad.

We spent seven nights at Riad Les Ammonites on the edge of the Souks and it was everything that it said on the tin! The service was great - we were met at the airport - although we couldn't find the taxi driver for a minute or two in the array of pieces of cards with Riad this and Riad that. We were greeted by Moroccan mint tea and a beautiful tagine meal. In fact all the meals that we took at the Riad were just to die for. Houda and her staff were just lovely. My wife and I got flu and they even invented a hot water bottle for my wife!

The Riad is a quaint and quiet little place with a relaxed vibe and good facilities. Rooms were spacious and clean and had Air Con, Heating and proper plumbing. The staff were lovely but only Houda (the owner) spoke English; the rest of the staff are friendly and polite but only speak very little English so be prepared to learn a few French phrases here and there. It's well situated and a quick walk from the Medina. I would recommend contacting them for a transfer from Airport and a guide to the Riad as the first time you try to find it you may get lost. Food is a bit pricier there but VERY good! and the general vibe of the place is chilled. There is free WIFI in the courtyard and an amazing place to catch some sun on the roof. Houda is also good at arranging trips, reservations, guides etc. Breakfast was amazing and they serve late for those who like a lie in. Definitely talk to Houda about arranging a trip to her local Hammam. It can be easy to spend a little more than planned as everything is put onto the bill so keep an eye on your spending! Personally, I'd have liked the opportunity to make Tea/Coffee in the room but you can get tea and coffee served in the courtyard etc. It is a lovely little place and a great opportunity to base yourself in the heart of the action with the space to escape when needed

Our stay at the Riad Les Ammonites was really lovely, the room and all facilities were excellent. The staff were fantastic and arranged anything we needed and made it into a very special holiday. It is a great place to escape the busy environment of the medina and highly recommended. The only tiny suggestion I have is that the breakfast is extremely sweet and sugar-based, a little more savoury could have been better.

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed by Houda. All our questions and concerns were answered immediately and Houda made every attempt to try and get us what we wanted (ie. rental car, hammam experience, etc). It was a great introduction to our first time in Marrakech and we can't wait to go back!

From arrival at the Riad Les Ammonities, we were greeted with friendliness and warmth by the Riads manager Houda. With hot sweet tea to and an oasis of calm after the long journey. Houda made us feel very welcome, 'at home' and relaxed. The Riad is beautiful. Stylish attention to detail in the design and furnishings. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble, including late breakfasts and requests for a late meal when the kitchens weren't expecting us. Our bedroom was superb...The Menzah Suite. It was as wonderful as the photos on their website promised. The bed is huge!! Oh....and my boyfriend James loved the resident cat :-) We would be happy to recommend this Riad to anyone! Thankyou for a lovely stay.

The area of old Marrakech is extremely deceiving; do not judge until you step inside of the hotel. Breakfast portions and food is amazing which is included in the price. Dinner is 200MAD each and is fantastic. Close walk to Jama Fna square and the Souk markets.
