Large room, pool was good.

Cons: A long way from anything and they seemed to discourage taxis from coming insisting you use their hotel "taxi" which often kept us waiting and was very expensive.

We had a fantastic stay! The whole team made us really relax and wind down. Quality thoughout. We tried some of the «better restaurants» in City, but also the kitchen impressed us - which made us stay at the Palais more than planned. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you

The gardens are tranquil and beautiful are real oasis to sit out and relax. We stayed in room one which had its own private garden which was a real treat. You could have breakfast served in your room or on your terrace. The room was spacious and very carefully designed and decorated a real luxury treat. The shower was powerful. There was a bedtime turned down and curtains drawn for you in the evening. The indoor reception lounge, restaurant and bar area had a real collection of artefacts and artwork which were interesting and intriguing. The staff were very attentive and super polite. Food menu was limited, but what was on offer was well presented and tasty. Slightly pricey for what you got. Breakfast was well served beside the pool area. A wide variety of pastries and bread and eggs cooked to your preference. This hotel is an ideal romantic getaway for a couple of days. Hotel is happy to organise transportation into the city. I would imagine this would be a really fantastic location for a private function or wedding.

Cons: There was no menu of spa facilities available at reception or in the room, which would’ve been helpful. When we inquired about treatments and cost, we were shocked at the limited information given and the prices were extremely expensive. The pool is in the middle of the main outdoor eating area and outside a number of the bedrooms. This is quite offputting and very few guests actually use the pool during our day. We only saw one person actually using the pool. The pool seems quite dirty at times, even though we did see ground’s men cleaning it twice. We didn’t use the pool because we felt conscious while people were eating and equally if we were eating, we wouldn’t want to see people swimming around the pool. The hotel has plenty of space in the garden that additional pool could be installed and allow more privacy for guests.

Beautiful property and area. Very quiet. And a breathtaking swimming pool.

Cons: The room could have been better equipped with amenities like coffee and tea. Additionally, the staff didn't seem very attentive or engaged during our stay

We were completely in love with the place. The setting was stunning, and the facilities were incredible. We celebrated our three-year anniversary in a beautiful cottage with a fireplace, which made the experience even more special. The constant care and service from the staff were outstanding, and the food was simply incredible. The hammam was the best I have ever done, and the massage was deeply relaxing. The combination of luxury and traditional Moroccan charm made our stay unforgettable.

Cons: There was honestly very little to dislike. If anything, I would say that leaving was the hardest part!

The calm and serene atmosphere with the grand columns and the swimming pool

Cons: There’s no water or coffee or tea available in the rooms. We were left a PLASTIC 33cl water bottle on the day of arrival and that’s all. We did have a basket of fruits (apple and orange). The towels stink of bleach and there’s a bizarre odour on the bed linen. The bathtub has the painting coming off and you’d see pieces of paint floating around while taking a bath… refilled tiny bottles of shampoo and gel that are just enough for one shower , maybe two. Our suite was next to the staff room,so if you wanted to take a nap you’d hear all the coming and going, doors closing and opening, glass bottles being emptied on the trash, and so on. The fitness gym, if you want to call it that way, is as old as my grandma… why even say you have a gym if that’s what you have?? And the cherry on top… my mother’s transfer was forgotten by the receptionist… it was meant to pick her up at 6am for an early flight… guess what? 6.45 he arrived after calling multiple times. They had totally forgotten to book it ! And they dare to ask her for the money for it as she gets in the car and all I got from the reception upon check out was “oups she forgot, I’m sorry” All in all, a massive disappointment… definitely not worth the money. With the amount of offer there is in Marrakech, you can get way better in other hotels for the same or even less!

The breakfast was phenomenal. Everything from coffee, orange juice, fruits, fresh bread/ pastries, eggs, Moroccan pancakes and more. Peaceful, amazing rooms, cool artwork/ statues across the ground, great staff and the best fresh fixed fruit juice I have ever had. You want a relaxing weekend with your spouse, this is the place to go. I would even bring my kids too, so relaxing and amazing pool.

The location is amazing and only 15-20 drive from city center. The staff is super friendly and the service great. The receptionists are exceptional when it comes to helping out with day programs. It is a total different hotel experience than all the normal hotel chains and it feels like you arrive in a Roman Settlement.

Cons: The AC is a bit out of date (still functioning properly) and the toilet is not giving enough privacy.

The facilities and furniture felt tired and overused, not meeting the expectations associated with a higher star rating. I advise potential guests to scrutinize real photos shared by visitors rather than relying solely on promotional images. Considering the discrepancy between the perceived quality and the actual experience, exploring other options may yield better value for your money.

The cat and the dog loki

Cons: While the hotel itself was pleasant, we were taken aback by the high prices for everything and the limited, unappealing breakfast options. What truly ruined our stay was the staff's stuck-up attitudes, including the receptionist who made disparaging remarks in Arabic, thinking we couldn't understand (the cleaners were the loveliest). It was also surprising that water was not provided given the high room rate. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling let down, and we have decided not to return as we had intended.

Architecture, layout and gardens. Tranquil nature.

Cons: Loud music from some other guests during the day, combined with minor building work and day guests, culminated in a less than tranquil experience lounging in the gardens on some days. Drowning out the sound of the birds tweeting.

The staff in the restaurant and pool area were kind / polite / attentive. Number 6 room was lovely. There is so much to look at (decor), such a lovely quiet setting. Really relaxing, plenty of space, garden lovely with birdsong, wide comfortable sun loungers. Food great, good variety of food, (fusion). Loved the sea bass dish, tart tattin, ceaser salad etc. Hammam was fun and great exfoliation.

Cons: The advertised activity was not available, yoga and cookery class. Maybe a wider selection of pool side music would enhance the experience, but otherwise everything was perfect

The grounds are beautiful, the staff are amazing, the peacefulness, the spa.

Cons: The food was a bit over priced for dinner. Room had very little privacy, always someone sat directly outside the door for breakfast or using the pool. Minibar in the room is actually in the bathroom and we were not told the soft drinks were not complimentary, someone just pointed at them. Entry level room is quite small.

The architecture was just magnificent! I could stare at it the whole day. As it comes to our tent, it exceeded all expectations that we had. It was really huge and the bathroom was so beautiful! We had breakfast in our tent and it was delicious. Also, we enjoyed playing tennis, what a wonderful time!

Cons: Food and drinks were quite pricy compared to the other accommodations. The staff was not really good at English language, so there was a language barrier.

Thomas

Everything was perfect, the tent was beautiful, the colonnaded pool was outstanding, the hotel itself was quirky and decorated in a fun, eclectic way. The ambience was tranquil and serene. The dinner was excellent as was the service.

Cons: There was some sort of local festivity taking place nearby with loud thumping music making it impossible to sleep. At 3.30 am we rang up to ask how much longer it would go on for and we’ were told another hour! After that it calmed down a bit but didn’t actually stop until the call for prayer when we finally dozed off. This is a 5 star hotel and you’d expect a good nights sleep. Our advice would be to check what is happening in the locality before booking a tent.

Beautiful property, very cool old style palace.

Cons: Room had an awful smell of mold. I complained a couple of times but nothing was done. The room was also right outside the pool area and they had 2 dinning tables right outside our room - so if the curtains were not closed (blocking all the light) we had zero privacy. There were not enough lounge chairs by the pool, so not a lot of space to sit in the sun. The hotel restaurant is really not matching the level of the hotel. Limited menu, average food and very expensive for what you get. Lastly, the property is away from the medina, restaurants etc. Take into account 20 euros each way every time you leave the hotel.

Le Palais Rhoul is a charming boutique Hotel. The building has got so many memories that make it a place for travellers with attention to details. We felt like part of a community with the guests staying in the few suites surrounding the pool. And if more was needed, staff makes you feel like at home The food on a final note is really excellent and exceeds, I am pretty sure, a lot of the high end Hotel venues offering in turn standard continental breakfasts, classic lunches and diners (notwithstanding a great quality I am sure)

Cons: Nothing disappointed us really but for travellers that are putting their habits (and a lot of money) in their suitcase for travel, this might not be the place. We valued our tranquility, the spacious gardens and old trees planted in it, might the area outside the hotel walls not be the most glamorous one (Still 10/15' only from city center). The amenities like bathroom could have better fittings but what about the century old building you are staying in and all paintings around you? Indeed there could be a few cracks in the walls consequently... We call it authenticity. The fitness could be modernized yes if you are looking for a minus.

Absolutely fabulous. We felt so pampered and cared for during our stay. We had our small dog with us and to say this hotel is dog friendly is an understatement! The staff went out of their way to make sure our little dog had a good stay as well, and the hotel had four resident bichons running around for her to play with (all very well-behaved and friendly). Dinners were a bit pricey but delicious. Breakfast was expansive and included, so that helped with our budget a bit! We liked the hotel so much, we ended up spending an entire day of our trip to Marrakesh there to enjoy the heated pool, grounds, spa, and relaxing in our room with a cozy fire. Couldn't be happier with our stay and will likely return next time we come to Marrakesh! Thank you to the kind staff for looking after us. A couple notes - it's best to have your own or a rental car as the hotel is 20 minutes drive from the city center. The spa was small but the service was good. We came on the off season, so it was very quiet which we liked. It may be busier during the summer months.

The front desk staff was arrogant, not helpful and not reliable which is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. On the contrary, the waiters were very good and kind. The room was beautiful but not comfortable enough for the standard (curtains did not close totally, room was quite cold and noisy as close to the lunch area). The international food was not good and expensive. Moroccan food was good but my wife got food Poisoning, which should not occur in a 5 star hotel. Finally the hotel main building is impressive and very well decorated. Don't expect much from the pools though.
