A beautiful hotel in an excellent location with stunning views over the Medina. My room was spacious, bright and spotlessly clean and came with a bath so I could have a leisurely soak after a day’s sightseeing. The restaurant is superb, and the food is excellent-beware the portions are enormous. Wonderful staff-special thanks to Abdul who helped with my luggage and to Yusuf in reception who was also very helpful along with Mohammed and Youssra who provided excellent and attentive service in the restaurant. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Fez.

Palais Tazi was absolutely incredible. Pictures don't do it justice. I can honestly say I have never stayed at a more beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and so accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and I had the best Tangine ever at their rooftop restaurant.

The breakfast terrace was amazing and the breakfast very rich. The cleaning lady was kind and caring. Location was also very convenient at the edge of the medina but also convenient to take taxi/ car.
Cons: Most of the staff didn't speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Also the phone didn't work and most of the time the reception was unmanned so it was difficult to get in touch.

Restaurant staff was very friendly. Taught us some Arabic words. Served an amazing breakfast.
Cons: Torn towels. Shower head was loose. The room was very dark and had no windows. Leaking roof. Dirty table linnen and glasses. Reception staff told us that we will get lost in the city and that isn't really safe. Told us it was quite important to book a guide through them. This was not needed at all. Felt like an unnecesary sell.

The view from the terrace
Cons: The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working — in fact, it was heating instead of cooling. They insisted it was working, but after an hour, we finally managed to get another room where the air conditioning did work. However, the front desk manager was clearly offended that they had to deal with this at 11 PM... On the other hand, the housekeeping lady was exceptionally kind. We couldn't enjoy breakfast because of the large number of bees. This wasn't a problem anywhere else.

Such a beautiful hotel, 5 star experience all the staff were amazing from the porters, reception staff, waiters and a special mention for Amina the cleaner who made me feel so at home and welcome. The history and decor of the building is impressive, a beautiful view from the top floor restaurant. The staff were very helpful and tried to help us. Breakfast was great!
Cons: The location is the opposite side of the medina from the main gate, makes the evening walk back in the dark a bit tricky. The breakfast timings were variable, so we didn’t get our breakfast that we’d paid for on the second day as we had to head off for the train. Reception sold us a tour guide who was very pushy, pressured us into buying loads of stuff from the medina, and kept extending way beyond the 2 hours we’d agreed. The rooms were very noisy, as people/staff were up and down the stairs all night.

The hotel was beautiful with an amazing view over the Medina. The rooms were unique and authentic to Morocco. The driver Zacharia was lovely and always made us feel well looked after, going out of his way to assist us where possible.
Cons: Some of the staff, particularly in the rooftop restaurant, were quite aggressive and made us feel like we were intruding despite our simple requests.

Very beautiful property in a very good location. The staff is eager to help and is very friendly. The room is beautifully decorated and the size is good for a few days. Special thanks to Abdoul and Bouchra for their service and support during the stay. Also many thanks to the cleaning lady (forgot the name) for the very good cleaning and the supply of excellent pastries! The sunsets from the terrace are lovely and the overall view of the Medina is also impressive.
Cons: The variety of food in the breakfast and dinner is limited. The flavour of the food is OK but not something special. We had better tajines and brochetes in Morocco and especially the price/value ratio for the food is low.

The warm welcome from the staffs, the location of the hotel was perfect, just at the entrance of the medina. Very close to the mainroad, 3 mins walk from the drop off point by the mainroad. The hotel contacted us and sent a porter. Very good communication from the beginning so we had no difficulties to find the hotel exact location. Smooth check in and check out and very attentive staffs. We really feel like home. The breakfast was delicious. We requested omelette, since we had eaten boiled eggs for weeks. The staffs made for us. Pleasant. The view and the ambiance from the restaurant was perfect! The rooms was nicely decorate, comfortable, and amazingly clean. We had two rooms across each other with the living room in between. Pleasant stay! Also we had a nice quick tour in the medina arranged by the hotel. A good choice to stay in Fez, if you want to get around medina.
Cons: None about the hotel! Just the public car park is a bit further if you drive, but it is like that in Fez medina. Overall public car park was safe.

This place has one of the best terrace with view over the whole Medina. Very rich traditional breakfast. Good personal. Good place to live if you selected Medina as the base.

The terrace, full stop! It was incredible. I am confident we had the best views of Fes when on Dar Tazi terrace! The front desk and cleaning staff were also incredibly kind and helpful—any request, they got it done (including bringing coffee and packing an early breakfast up for us before our day trip to Chefhcaouen).
Cons: It’s an old palace turned into a hotel, so some of the rooms (including ours) are in the depths of the building. It felt sort of like navigating a maze to find the room, and there was only one very small window. If you don’t like tight quarters and spaces, this might not be the place for you. The restaurant view was incredible. It would take things up a notch if service was a little quicker. Thank you to the team at Dar Tazi! 🙂

Wonderful palace just outside the Medina (choice that I strongly recommend). Very good restaurant on the terrace where you’ll have also your breakfast. The staff can organize a guided tour of the Medina (I recommend this also to expert travelers as you really get lost) or hamman.
Cons: As everywhere in Morocco the rooms are full of carpets, cushions, fabrics… that I would totally avoid to have a cleaner room

First of all this is not a typical Ryad it was an old palace converted in to a hotel, rooms we had very large size and beautiful, just like palace rooms. Also it has decent size bathroom with a walking closet. Breakfast was pretty standard moroccan continental style breakfast but the highlight of this place was rooftop restaurants which has amazing view of the Medina and also it the food was really good but expensive compare to other restaurants.
Cons: The rooms were located inner part so it was not straight forward to get to the room without climbing few narrow stairs. Also smell from bathroom was offputting, probably leaking drain.

This Riad was stunning, my sister and I stayed for 4 nights and everything went amazing, our room was perfect and super spacious, the staff were all so kind and ready to help with everything. We choose this Riad mostly because of its view from the terrace, that is breathtaking and perfect for pictures ;), on the terrace is also served an amazing breakfast (included in the price), and eventually you can choose to have dinner there in the evening by choosing from several options of menu.
Cons: everything was perfect but just for information for who wants to go: the dinner at the restaurant is pretty expensive for the standard prices of the city (ca 280 dirhams = 28 euros per person) luckily my sister and I sleep everywhere and we are not disturbed by anything but for who is very sensible to noises and the mattress quality, this Riad is not the best. At least from our room you could hear a lot of noises that were happening inside the Riad, especially early morning when people start waking up, and the mattress wasn't the best to sleep on. beside this two little things nothing else to add :)
