The staff was really lovely and the place just stunning. Great breakfast, the rooms were so beautiful and comfortable. It was really a pleasure staying at the Riad and we got assistance with getting to the airport and the staff overall was incredibly helpful, especially Khalid
Cons: the hammam experience was a bit lacking, at least the full package, for what it was, especially since there was no mask included in the end

Wonderful place, very friendly and helpful staff! Our room was really beautiful next to the little Riad Pool. Breakfast on rooftop very nice (maybe a bit busy for 1 person to serve, but all very good) We received a little birthday celebration for our son during our breakfast. The location of the Riad is just THE BEST! Hamam was very nice as well. Hope to come back again

Change of plan meant this was a last minute booking. We had high expectations having stayed in some lovely riads. This one was excellent. Double sized with garden area and pool area. Quaint pool but good size. Gowns and slippers provided! Teenaged boys had kingsized bed split as twins and I (the adult but smallest!) was on a bed that would have been a sofa if not needed as a bed. Big and comfy. Great aircon, lovely bathroom with separate loo (useful with boys!). Great terrace where breakfast was served. Great location, easy to find. Lovely staff. A great stay, thank you!
Cons: The bees at breakfast!!! But we loved their honey....

Lovely Riad. As pretty as the photos. We had Jasmine room which opened straight onto the pool. So beautiful. Really relaxing and quiet space away from the hubbub of the medina (even though we were very near). Riad tortoise and cat was a nice surprise. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. More amenities than it states on the website - our room included a hair dryer and a fridge that we weren’t expecting. Complimentary tea on arrival and a bottle of water in the room to get you started. Also had robes and slippers which was a nice touch. Unlike stated on the Easyjet holiday website there isn’t a bar where you can access alcohol, only tea and soft drinks but that didn’t bother us. Most places in the medina don’t offer alcohol but if you ask where you can get some, people would tell you where the nearest is.

Tucked away on a very quiet little alley, just few meters away from the busy and lively streets of the Medina, this Riad gave us everything - and more - than we expected: lovely quiet room by the beautiful indoor pool, very enjoyable rooftop for sunbathing and breakfast, all very nicely decorated, and a great welcoming and friendly staff and service all around. Good tips at the hotel for reliable and serious trips in the Atlas mountain, amazing hammam/massage spa on site - needs to be booked in advance - and not to forget the family turtle and “Fifi” the lovely and friendly black cat! Thank you Philippe and all the Bougainvillier team for a memorable time. Salam. Andreas Bruno Private Chef London

Great Location. The night manager Khalid was exceptional with regards to his service. Aware of your family needs at the breakfast table and also guided us on things to do and where to go. His service made the stay great.
Cons: Rooms were not at par specially the bathroom. There wasnt a shower but just a tub., Water sprayed around as well making the bathroom wet. Our room was next to the swimming pool which means there was zero privacy and you could not open your windows because folks could see through it.

The spacious room
Cons: Towels had holes, poor housekeeping services, did not have gluten free options for us inspite of repeated reminders, we went and bought our own bread at additional costs to us, after we complained the next day bread was brought. Initially the wait staff told my husband he doesn't understand or speak english, caught him talking to couple next table in fluent english. The reviews on booking.com.are misleading on the property description, nothing great or special about it. We saw many better properties along the stretch. Overall a disappointment.

It was central for the jemaa el fna. . The Riad was beautiful, very spacious and very quiet. A meal is available. The room we stayed in was so elegant and even had a balcony. The bed was very comfortable and I was glad of the air conditioning. The terrace was a very tranquil place to have your breakfast or just read a book or lie in the sun. The staff were very attentive and happy to help with anything. Very informative.

This centrally located Riad is absolutely perfect in every way. Our host, Philippe, was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and he and his wonderful staff went above and beyond to make our stay in Marrakesh unforgettable. It was so clean, we had the senior suite with the mosaic bath and balcony over the pool, it also had a hammam and the staff were so helpful, rose petals and cake as a surprise for my partners birthday, booked transfers, restaurant bookings, beautiful breakfast, and dinner, location was simply the best spot we could ask for, everyone so friendly and although technically a massive house it still felt like we had privacy. We enjoyed our stay in this Riad. The place has beautiful charm and character surrounded by Bougainville. The staff were amazing. It is very close to the main market and right in the middle of all the buzz. It was a bit difficult to find but the shopkeepers were helpful in providing directions and one person took us to the door of the Riad. It has a lovely big terrace where you can relax and read a book or just enjoy the weather. On our last day we had to leave early in the morning and the team kindly arranged breakfast for us.
Cons: They can do with some more variations for breakfast including egg variations and offer top of for hot coffee and tea as our coffees were not hot.

Beautiful place, close to the main attractions.
Cons: Riads are beautiful but not soundproof. There was a group of students staying there, shouting until midnight, and I had to ask them twice to be considered as no staff member took the responsibility to do that. It's definitely not a type of accommodation to have a good night sleep, especially if you are going on a trip and have to wake up around 5 am.

We only had one night here which was such a shame because it was a beautiful riad with super friendly staff. Our room was spacious, felt modern yet traditional and had a really nice bathroom - they arranged a cot for our baby daughter and even put out some local sweets upon arrival which we appreciated. There is a small pool to cool off and plenty of communal space for some down time. We had a really nice breakfast on the rooftop and loved the resident tortoise that was roaming around.

This Riad is superb! So well located close to the big square but an oasis of peace and quiet with a very good sized rooftop terrace for sunbathing, star gazing, etc. I travelled alone and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and made me so welcome. The mantra ‘our house is your house’ really made me feel comfortable and at home. Thank you so much to everyone for such a wonderful stay.

Team is amazing - special kudus for the guy that stay in the front desk during day. gentle, helpful and supportive. Riad’s localization is awesome and bedroom and place, a dream!
Cons: Is not a complaint but breakfast could include some other stuffs like more fruits ( that are really a show in the place) and maybe eggs. But no complaints at all.

Clean place with very friendly staff, specially Khalid who was always available and gave up good tips about places to visit. The breakfasts were my personal favorite.
Cons: A bit difficult to find the first time as it’s located in a small alley where cars can not drive there. However for our return they managed a guy with a trolly to carry our luggage to where the taxi would be.

Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina but secluded enough so you are not directly facing the busy souks. The rooms are so comfortable, large beds, great bathroom and beautifully decorated. The staff is so friendly. We had an early flight and they made us breakfast before it was actually served to the other guests. We highly recommend this Riad and will most definitely go back.

Cons: This is not bad, in fact we are very satisfied with the response of the Riad. We had and issue to get to the hotel due to the earthquake but they were very proactive to help us and solve the problem. After all was something that exceeded them.

Excellent location and helpful staff. The porter and taxi booked via Riad works best if you got heavy luggage and good pricing. The rooms were big and high ceilings with brand new air cons made the hot days stay very comfortable. Pool was a bonus for kids. Very clean facility and well managed. Very good communication over WhatsApp to reach the place.
Cons: The breakfast got monotonous after 2 days and I understand this is standard in all Riads but would be great to have some meat like products to add savory variety like salami or sausages etc, Otherwise it feels like it was variety of breads and not much protein. lucky to get a bowl of fruit only on 1 day out of 3. General comment for Riads, dont compare with hotels as this is a different experience good for trying.

I stayed in this riad for a week with my girlfriend and I can say that is probably one of the best in Marrakech. Is really clean, everyone is at your full disposal, rooms are elegant and modern, breakfast is good. What impressed me positively a lot, is Mr. Moncef, the receptionist. I think every hotel in the world should have a Moncef in the staff. He is so kind and always ready to help you. I really advice permanence here if in Marrakech.

The rooms are quite spacious and beautiful. We also managed to enjoy the pool area which as nice as it looks in the pictures! Overall it was a nice and comfortable stay !
Cons: The breakfast is very basic mostly consisting of different types of bread. The orange juice was delicious though. There's not a lot of people running/working in this place which forced us to look for the staff around the place when we wanted to pay for the city tax or arrange our departure.

Very calm and beautifully decorated Riad at a short walking distance from the Jemma el Fna square and seconds away from the souks. It has a nice pool, rooftop from which you can see El Koutoubia and a small private hammam (perfect for first timers like us!). They also offer decently priced wine at dinner. I give a special shoutout to Khalid, who went the extra mile to ensure our stay in Marrakech was unforgettable!! Definitely an asset. We'll be back!
Cons: Wish there were more mirrors in the room as it facilitates logistics optimisation before heading out. There was only one in the bathroom and the family suite definitely has room for more!

The staff were very very friendly and super helpful. A very nice breakfast and very accommodating when we needed a bit extra. The hotel and rooms were clean. Nice small and simple swimming pool if that is of interest. Super convenient location, right in the middle of the primary things to do and easily walkable to most places.
Cons: While the rooms were clean and comfortable, there were a few items that needed fixing. The soap dish in the shower needed fixing as well as the towel rack. Given it's attached to tile, I'm sure that it's difficult to fix permanently. Other than that everything was very nice.

Lovely & tasteful riad in Marrakesh old town (3 mins from Jemaa el-Fna). Room was very spacious, clean and stylish. Helpful & friendly staff, great breakfast.

Riad Les Bougainvilliers is situated in a very good location in the heart of the medina and is easy to reach. It's a quiet and peaceful place with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The service at the reception deserves additional praise. Monssef is the real gem of this place. Always smiling and helpful. It would be nice to have bathrobes and slippers in the rooms - it's so normal now and they were missing here. Breakfast is also a weak point. It's not about the type of breakfast itself, because it was typically Moroccan and we knew it. I mean too greasy omelettes and msemen as well as fruit cut in an unappetizing way. On the plus side, always fresh and delicious orange juice. Breakfast service could be better too.

BEST location! It's a short taxi drive from Marrakech Airport to the closest drivable road, then a short walk straight through the main street of Souks with two right turns down an alleyway (the Riad itself is poorly labelled so look for signage beside the door). Taxi from Airport should cost about 150/200MAD depending on taxi size. I asked for the double bed to be made into two singles via booking.com for myself and my mate and they did that without hesitation, very very friendly and helpful staff! We had the rooftop to ourselves almost every day for sunbathing. Padlock on the door so felt very safe knowing not even staff could access room when we were sleeping. Breakfast was amazing, food in the evening was even better and reasonably priced. If you want to do the Atlas mountain excursion including Camel rides and Agafay desert visit- go through this link: https://abnb.me/wWktEN3xTvb The tour guide is called Ibrahim, and his tour was SO much better than the one we had booked. (We accidentally got on his tour bus by mistake and eventually had to swap back halfway through). Ibrahim spoke very good English AND took his tour to his family home in the Mountains, where his Mother was preparing a home cooked Moroccan meal for them!
Cons: The sound proofing was non-existent really, we could hear people talking in the reception, I'm pretty sure they'd hear us talking from our rooms too. However, we went in December so it was fairly quiet anyway. The floors and streets are dirty in general due to the dust, I was glad to have flip-flops for wearing around the hotel and walking shoes for the streets. One male staff member did just linger quite a bit, especially when I (young female) went to breakfast alone. Although this was the general theme of the trip for my friend and I (two females). If you're a women, be prepared to have men ask for your social media handles and for your number at all the times, that goes for hotel staff to tour guides to random men in the street. We could never let our guard down as we were constantly harassed and stared at. Glad I saw a review of someone saying to bring toilet roll and hand sanitiser with them on excursions (to mountains or Camel rides) as there was none provided so we ended up saving the day for everyone! The main scam to look out in the Souks was, for example, Henna ladies grabbing your arms and giving you a design, then demanding a ridiculous price for their services after they'd finished. DO NOT get Henna, get on a Camel or horse and Carriage etc without making them agree to a reasonable price BEFOREhand. They make most of their money by doing the service first then telling tourist's they'd be stealing if they can't pay whatever ridiculous price they name later. General rule of thumb for haggling in Souks is to try and get 1/3 of whatever price they name.

Location very central yet quiet and close to the taxis (there are no cars in the medina). Room and bathroom both spacious and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: As most riads, the doors and windows of the room face inside and are very simple with zero soundproofing. That means you hear EVERYTHING that happens in the riad, other guests talking, walking the stairs, their kids. Not good if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast could be nicer (comparing to other riads I‘ve been to). Also some tuille curtains on the windows would be nice for privacy. Wifi was slow.

Good communication in advance of our stay airport transfer organised and worked well. Great location, peaceful relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the medina. Helpful and welcoming staff. Stylish comfortable rooms, lots of communal spaces and a large roof terrace to relax in. we had dinner one night and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Cons: The bed was a bit too hard for our liking. It would have been nice for breakfast to include some fruit and yoghurt.

As a second-timer in Marrakech, staying inside the Medina can be bit chaotic, intense and, for sure, overwhelming, but not if you stay in this Riad. For those who are looking for a brief review, in a nutshell what I can say is: book this Riad. You’ll have a wonderful time there and you’ll fall in love with the environment, facilities, and service. In a detailed way, when visiting a place like Marrakech your journey starts way before landing there. There are transfers to schedule, activities and tours to prepare, meals and restaurants to explore and many other small yet big details to guarantee, and that’s when Phillipe and the Riad staff start to show how wonderful and helpful they are. They went above and beyond to fulfill every one of our needs and to clarify any doubts we had. During our stay there was not a single time that we were not greeted with a friendly smile by Moncef and Khalid. These excellent workers will make sure that you have the time of your live. From the time you wake up and eat their fabulous breakfast till when you lay down and relax on their comfy beds, they will be there to help you and to provide you any information about the best places to go, sites to visit and, of course, Marrakech’s history and its hidden jems. If your requirement is location, this Riad cannot be any more perfect. You are 3 minutes way from Jemaa el-Fna and the entrance to the Souks area, 5 minutes way from El-Badi Palace, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said and 7 minutes way from Koutoubia Mosque and Saadian Tombs. Finally, the Riad is sublime. The preserved traditional Moroccan architecture with its balconies surrounding the inside gardens (one with tables and sofas and the other with a small pool), the embellished walls with its typical arabic ornaments, and the rooftop where you can rest and relax while looking at the Koutoubia Mosque. Overall, Riad Les Bougainvilliers was an excellent choice which surpassed our expectations and where all the high standards are met.

We loved everything about this Riad, the location is perfect, there is a parking nearby where I left my car for two nights and it was safe. The staff of the Riad is nice and very friendly. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and most importantly super calm.

Excellent breakfast! More fruit variety and it would be perfect! Location is perfect to visit the city palaces and tombs, traditional restaurants and street food, markets and it’s only 5 minutes walk to reach the central plaza. Stuff is amazing helping in everything in out of Riad, in order to deliver a great e Experience to their guests. I’ll recommend you 👌
Cons: Pillows too high, but it’s a personal preference.

The profile on hotels.com was slightly inaccurate. There is no restaurant or bar, although the daily breakfast was great. The airport pickup is advertised as 200 per room but they actually charge 180 per person. But overall a lovely place in a perfect location, with great staff

Over priced hotel. No amenities in room and all services over priced. The hotel taxi from the airport was excessive compared to local rates. Pool was tiny and freezing cold. The plus: great location - 3 minute walk to the Jemaa el Fna market and walking distance to many sites - el badii Palace, badiaa, Koutub and great restaurants. And very safe area. Hotel was tucked away in an alley and was very quiet and peaceful at night. Night manager was very accommodating and helpful.

My wife and I had a great time in the Riad and it was great to have a place to go relax and cool between intense visit of the city. The staff is always nice and accommodating, ready to provide guidance/suggestions to visit the city. The Riad is beautiful and we really enjoyed staying at the pool on hot hours or on the roof when temperature were going down.

This riad (as they are called in Morocco) is insidie the Medina/souks area, which means it is not accessible by car. It's located on a narrow street, therefore if getting dropped of by taxi one gets dropped of at the nearest street accessible by car and then you must walk through the market/souks to find it down a narrow alley. Not great if you are carrying heavy luggage. It also does not feel safe late at night, so not great if you're a lone female traveller. Otherwise it is a beautiful riad. It is very peaceful and quiet once inside. Basic amenities. If you want a meal (lunch or dinner) must tell them a day in advance. No snack bar but souks and shops nearby, can go and buy a snack if you speak French or Arabic, or hotel staff can fetch you a bottled drink.

The riad was very well renovated and equipped for our stay. We reserved the suite with a double bed and two singles, which are two separate areas (each with a closing door) with a bathroom in the middle. The decorations were very nice and made the riad experience enjoyable. Breakfast was included and consisted of various bread items, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee/tea. The staff made check in and check out very easy and we're willing to accommodate us in any way possible. I stayed at a different riad shortly after this one in another city, and I would say that Bougainvilliers was comparatively better in experience, room size, and service. I would definitely recommend this riad to others, especially the suite if you are looking for three beds. One tip--the ground floor was a little noisy on the first night, so you should request and upper floor or close your wooden shutters.

was asked to stay in this hotel for a week after a complication with a previous hotel and it was honestly the best decision. We will definitely be coming here again soon!

We had a great experience here! The Riad is an oasis of calm and quiet in the midst of the souk in the central Medina. They provide a very personalized experience. Meals and a hammam can be arranged there to de-stress from the excitement and action of daily activities. It was our incredible luck that Amal was there to greet us on our first day. The name Amal means "grace" and she personified this in her welcoming and helpful service. Her recommendations were spot on from the souk restaurant to the belly dancing show in the new Medina. If it's your first time in Marakkech, this riad is about a 10 minute walk into a busy souk. It can feel a little intimidating at first, but it's a great way to immerse yourself in all that Marakkech has to offer.

The hotel is very nice, the staff is tremendus, they will give all to be as confortable as posible. But being at Marrakesh is a experience that you must be aware of. Staying inside the medina is also something you might consider, is not for everybody. the hotel is in some "creepy" streets that you might feel unconfortable or unsafe to walk there at night the taxis will not be able to get you near the hotel and you will need to walk to get to the hotel maybe a 5 minutes walk, remember to CALL AND ARRANGE to be picked up by the hotel to avoid more problems

Really great spot, located off one of main busy thoroughfares but a quiet secluded side street. Staff are great, friendly and helpful. It was my first time in Marrakech and city initially took me by surprise. If you're going with family and not concerned about budget, would probably recommend you stay in one of the fancier locations outside the city walls as the place and pushy people can be a bit overwhelming. Looking back, I would have probably stayed outside the city walls in the Meridien or Mamounia and popped into the city walls but the Bouganvilliersis a great spot if you can handle tHe hustle and bustle of the city. Get a guide and have him show you around, esp the Souks as you will be set upon by aggr.essive merchants and others (mostly younger men with too much time on their hands trying to befriend you and have them show you around) breakfast at hotel was good, staff very attentive , wifi connection spotty. Overall a good spot, clean and beautiful small well run Riad if you want to be close to the mayhem (yet down narrow side street where you do feel once you're inside hotel away from it all as it will get overwhelming at first.

After searching frantically for a place to stay in Marrakech after deciding to extend my stay a few days, I came across reviews of this riad and decided to give it a try. It was a lovely break from the craziness of the nearby square and alley ways! I somehow ended up with one of the nicest rooms in the place with its own private balcony overlooking the plunge pool. I did have a hard time flagging down one of the front managers to settle my bill the night before an early departure, but I chalked it up to it being Sunday and still got everything sorted in a timely matter. Was slightly concerned that the doors had no locks, but had no issues! Would stay again if I ever go back to morocco!

Stayed here for two nights out of the 10 we were in Morocco. It's a beautiful place, and a fantastic location. It would suit an independent traveller, as unlike other places I stayed at in Morocco, it was run by staff rather than the owners, so didn't have that personal touch. Although they provided a safe in our room, there was no lock on the door which was a bit weird, and wifi basically didn't work in the room itself, we had to be in the communal areas. Breakfast provided was light but lovely, the staff we dealt with were very kind and helpful with our requests, as I said the building is gorgeous, quiet, cool, fantastic location.

We had a wonderful time at this Riad. I was a little concerned about going to Marrakech but had no problems when I booked everything through the Riad. I cannot remember the Front Desk young man's name but he was excellent and could not do enough for us. We booked our taxi pick up's and return's through the Riad. They were there to meet us at the airport and everything went smoothly. We had a man take our luggage by hand cart to the Riad. We ate at the Riad the first evening and the food was excellent. We was also able to order wine and beer's. Breakfast was lovely. We booked a walking tour again through the Riad on the first day to familarise ourselves with the area. The staff made it for us, they could not do enough, booked restaurants and gave us useful information. A lovely stay and if we ever return we will def go back to this Riad. There was also a roof terrace which was lovely. Excellent.

What a great place to visit. First time to North Africa and we were blown away by the whole experience, which was totally different to what we have done previously. The main square is absolutely fantastic at night and there is so much going on, loads of people, loads of noise etc. Plenty of things to see, all pretty cheap to get into and whilst there is a distinct lack of sign posting and sometimes you get lost, this is just part of the fun. Make sure you visit the Souks, these are chaotic, everyone wants a piece of you and sometimes there is a bit too much hassling, but just go with it. The Riad was excellent, the staff were very attentive and the location is close to the square - would totally recommend. One point re finding the Riad, I would recommend you take advantage of their pick up service because It would not be easy to find if you didn't know where you are going. Also this quick and delivers you straight to the door.

This is a super little riad just down from Jamaa el fna well located for most of the Medina attractions, very clean with staff that can't do enough for you. Breakfast is simple but filling,we had ours on the Terrace & the evening meals are very good too,a little pricey but well worth it. Extras from the bar, beer, tea, coffee etc.. can be paid in local currency, euros or Gbp & are put on a tab,I was running out of local currency for this & in hindsight I would've taken Gbp to pay for it instead. there are ATM machines just in the Jamaa el Fna anyway. trips to Saadian tombs,Badi Palace & Majorelle Gardens are a few minutes away, get a good view of the storks in badi palace from the stylish Kosybar terrace in place de ferblantiers at sunset is a highlight.

Tranquil Riad in the old Medina of Marrakech. You can't drive to it; be prepared to have your luggage wheeled through the medina in a barrow. Nice points: free transfer from airport, the riad is very pretty, the 3 course meal was simple but tasty, room and bathroom spacious, the manager was polite & helpful, hammam inexpensive (though we could have done with pointers on what ritual to follow!). Points for improvement: the rooms have no locks (once you're used to this it is not such a big deal, as there are safes and the front door is locked), it was cold in the dining room each evening, the maids were lovely, but they made a LOT of clattering and chattering in the kitchen after meals which tended to echo round the courtyard. Permanent issues: we found the medina really unpleasant in terms of aggressive shop owners and intimidating crowds of locals. This included the streets we had to walk through to get to and from the riad. Despite being told it was safe we felt quite frightened when out after dark ~8pm for dinner. We would not choose to go back to old Marrakech, but if we had to we would probably stay here again for the quality of rooms, food and service.

The location of this Riad is what made this the perfect choice for a short break, 5 minutes stroll either way will take you to most of the places you'll want to visit in the centre of Marrakech, the Djema El Fna square, or the Bahia Palace, Museums etc plus plenty of stalls/shops en route....restaurants etc.. It had lovely rooms individually styled and furnished, a fantastic rooftop terrace. and very friendly professional staff. Haven of calm after the bustle of Marrakech.

The place is quiet but easy to find and in a safe wide alley just off a main walkway, so it's a good balance of closeness to the real city, and retreat to calm and serenity. Little birds in the courtyards, unpressured approach from super helpful staff, pretty views everywhere, a standard which is comfortable and pleasing without being ostentatious and over the top luxurious. I've stayed in Riads which were flashier - and those didn't give me the same feeling of goodness, simplicity and human contact that I had at Bougainvilliers. Special thanks to Moncef the duty manager. Brilliant and lovely man.

Is an excellent hotel, the services is wonderful. The staff: Yassime oriented us to visit the most interesting places in Marrakesh. The two girls (Hannan and Rashida) only speaks french but always are trying to help or please you. The hotel is very close to the square Jmaa El fna, like 5 minutes walking, but to find the hotel you need a very good map or pay some native in the square to take you because the cars can go inside Medina ( the neighborhood) because the street are very small. If you dont want to be extracharge with the taxi in the airport you can take a bus number 19 and in 15 minutes you are in the Medina. The medina is the touristic neighborhood in Marrakesh, close to the souks, palace Badis and Bahia. And there is the new neighborhood (the fancy one) calles Gueliz, we didnt visiti so we dont know about it.
