A really nicely decorated riad with lots of character. Beautiful views from the terrace, and mint tea on arrival was a nice touch! The room was quite big and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. And the breakfast and dinner was delicious!
Cons: The location was a bit far out, a 15 min walk up the hill from the centre of town. And it was very cold in the rooms at night (in November) as the windows were single glazed, and although there was a heater, it was a bit temperamental.

The hostel in the mountain was quiet and charming, surrounded by trees and soft clouds. Its painted walls and warm lights created a cozy atmosphere that felt comforting and calm. Inside, the rooms were simple but clean, with a balcony to stunning mountain views. The scent of pine filled the air, and the terrace added to the peaceful mood. Every corner of the hostel seemed designed for rest and reflection, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature in silence.

Hamid was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He arranged our transportation to and from Imlil, welcomed us to the Ossagou and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. He connected us with Mohammed, who took us on two fabulous day hikes. We loved the location of the Oussagou. It is away from the centre of town, set close to walnut and apple orchards. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Thank you for everything, Hamid.

What a wonderful and peaceful place to stay. We had an Arabian double room with a balcony, which was very private and unique, with local personal items throughout. It had a comfortable king-size bed, a.lounge, kettle and table, and a good sized bathroom. Each staff member was very helpful, polite, and respectful. We spent four days here, admiring the views from our balcony and the two rooftop levels. The large breakfasts were fantastic, served upstairs with those amazing views. It's about ten minutes walk to the village, but there is a shop next door if you need anything.

Spacious room with colourful decor. Good dinners for 100 MAD.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. It was slow in being served in bits and pieces, and it would have been nice to have had some fresh fruit and maybe eggs (one breakfast out of 3 had a boiled egg and that was it, compared to our friends at a different Riad who were served omelettes and fruit).

The riad is basic but staff are friendly and the property is clean. They arranged transfers for us which was also helpful. Bring warm clothing as the evenings are cold, and the room might not get warm enough. The riad is a bit out of the center of town, but there’s a small shop beside it that sells drinks and snacks. We had breakfast and dinner at the riad and the food was excellent.

Imlil is a beauty and more importantly the starting point for the ascension of the Toubkal.

There are two factors that make every visitor fall in love with this mesmerising place: one is the natural beauty of the area and, on the other hand, the locals' kindness. I in particular would like to say a big thank you to Hamid and the young boy. They treat everyone in the Riad with an abundance of kindness and respect.
Cons: There's an issue with the WIFI functioning but it's inevitable in this area. Besides, this is the place to enjoy the scenery and the divine cuisine 🥰

We loved our stay and even extended it. It’s a great base to go walking to the waterfall, Aroumd, Ait Souka, and Tizi Mzik.

The most Stunning location—at the top of the hill of the village right before the mountain paths begin, so makes for very gorgeous terrace views—we hung out a lot in the terrace. Our two bedroom unit was spacious and clean with plenty of beds and baths and had a cozy wood-burning fireplace in the living room area. The staff were so welcoming and kind and accommodate any requests. It was so quiet and peaceful here and definitely want to go back. Our rooms and baths were extremely clean too.
Cons: We went in December, so it was very cold inside once the fire ran out. Luckily there were many blankets and jebellas to wear, to stay warmer.

My two girlfriends and I loved staying here for two nights. Hamid was an amazing host, and this riad is fantastic. We slept comfortably, enjoyed breakfast and dinner on-site, and truly appreciated the fireplace and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. We also felt very safe throughout our stay. Hamid helped organize a tour with a local mountain guide, who suggested a route that we will never forget. We climbed a nearby mountain and could never have done it without the guide's help and patience. If I/we return to Imlil, we will definitely stay here again. The accommodation is located up on a hill, but it was absolutely not difficult to walk up from the village. Additionally, there is a small shop near the accommodation if you walk in the opposite direction from the village, which we appreciated for buying some snacks.

Location was nice, close to the village center and with a good view of the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was very good and abundant, with various local dishes. They have a beautiful terrace from which you can admire the mountains during the day and the stars in the nights. The dining room was cozy and warm. The staff was very welcoming and available to help us organise our trips and to serve us tea at late hours in the night. Additionally, when paying for our stay, we mistakenly gave them way more cash than needed. When the staff realised our mistake, they immediately returned all the money to us, in a remarkable display of honesty.
Cons: Two members of the group were not allowed to share the room because they were in a civil union, and not traditionally married. When confronted with the issue, the manager acted really aggressively and threatened to call the police to report us. The incident made us all feel very uncomfortable.

This was a fantastic stay and made our Morocco trip. Would recommend to all, don’t hesitate. The riad has a real cosy atmosphere. The room was very comfortable, great balcony view, lovely bath, working air con and a comfy bed. We were in the Arabian double. The terrace was lovely. This was also without a doubt the best food we had in Morocco, great breakfast and dinner, wouldn’t go into town (15min steep walk but absolutely fine) just enjoy food at the riad with huge portions and delicious flavour for a great price. The best part of our stay was the lovely staff, Mohammed was extremely kind and helpful and we felt very well taken care of. We hired a great guide Ibrahim through Mohammed and did a 6 hour hike from the riad with a packed lunch, highly recommend.

My 16-yr-old son and I stayed here in July, to celebrate the end of his exams. From the moment we arrived to leaving three days later, we were impeccably looked after. Mint tea and snacks were provided on arrival, which were gratefully received after the long taxi ride from the airport. Our room- the twin corner room- was beautiful, cool, with excellent views over the mountains and village. The beds were comfy, and the shower had the most ridiculously high pressure! The two terraces are just stunning. They take very good care of the plants, upholstery and rugs- everything is made locally and they very much support the local women’s co-operatives. Breakfast was a traditional Moroccan meal of bread, pastry, almond butter, jam, honey, egg and olives; with mint tea, cardammon coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Supper (an extra 10eu) was tagine with soup and fruit. Simple but delicious. It’s a family affair here, so the older children work with serving food, laundry and generally helping out. English is spoken, although speaking a little French or Arabic is always appreciated. It’s clean and tidy, and there’s a beautiful veranda garden with water fountain downstairs. The owners are always available to recommend tours or book you a taxi. Our absolute highlight though was caring for a tiny orphaned kitten- they’d found him the day before, bloated, sickly, and with his litter and mama sadly deceased. Every day, we would feed and cuddle him, and the Riad family bathed him, even taking him into their bedroom at night to sleep. By the time we left, he was eating vigorously and very much a part of Riad Oussagou’s family- the care displayed towards this tiny scrap of a thing was exemplary, and showed just how considerate the family here are. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s about a 20 min walk uphill from the town centre, and the waterfalls and hikes are within half hour. The village of Imlil itself is so friendly.
Cons: Not the property, which was immaculately clean, but the litter outside in the streets was saddening

The Riad was lovely , a little walk from the taxi rank but in an incredible location for access to hikes and views across the valley. We were greeted with mint tea and the owner was welcoming. The breakfast was huge, delicious and cheap. The dinner was also fantastic value for money and some of the best tagine we had in Morocco. We definitely intend to be back and recommend to everyone.

The rooms are cosy and warm. From the terrace you have a view on the surrounding mountains. Every morning you will gett a nice breakfast in the big room on the terrace, which gets warmed by a fireplace. The staff is really friendly and we could left our stuff there when we did the Toubkal hike.

A great stay in the mountain town of Imlil. The accommodation was better than we had expected and the host a true gem. So kind and helpful and cooled us a fantastic meal with only an hours notice. The views from the roof top are fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Riad Oussagou! It is situated just above Imlil (easy walking distance) giving us amazing views of both the town below and the mountains above from the it's rooftop terrace. We had everything we needed, amazing breakfasts each morning and a roaring fireplace in our room each night to keep us warm. Our hosts were very accomodating and always there to help when we needed anything.

Due to building work at the riad we had booked we were very thoughtfully moved to another riad nearby - Riad Jnane de Karma. Staff at both locations were very helpful - really went the extra mile. The raid was beautifully quiet and the views were wonderful. Thank you to Hamid and Mohammed.

The group I was with was delighted with this accommodation. An excellent location for rest and for horses climbing the Tuobkal peak. The accommodation units are large, the beds are comfortable, and the bed linen and towels are clean and fragrant. The terrace on the roof of the building deserves a special rating of 10+. Their food is also excellent, and the staff led by Hamid were also incredibly helpful and friendly. Top recommendation!

Nice place with beautiful views, big rooms with heating/ac and enough blankets. Breakfast was good.
Cons: WiFi was not great especially in the room, 10-15 min walk from imlil center (for us no problem but good to know). The beds are hard (again for us okay but for a lot of people probably to hard)

fabulous setting up from the centre of Imlil amongst walnut and apple trees. traditional furnishings and rugs. morning sunshine hits the roof terrace and quickly warms you as you wait for breakfast to be served.

Very nice Riad in excellent condition and well located! The only 2 complaints were that the food was overpriced for the amount of food given AND they apparently do NOT work with the reservations made via hotels.com. We had reserved a room for 7 only to find out the largest available was for 4. However, the friendly owner finally came and was very accommodating, making it work for our family to comfortably fit into one of the rooms.

Booked room for my family for 4 nights but ended up checking out after 2 nights. There was no any heating in our room (on December) and it was so cold all the time. Room was not decorated on Arabian style like in the pictures but it was just a basic room with two beds and that’s it. Also the staff seemed to be very busy and ignorant all the time and it was hard to get any answers when asking or trying to sort out something. That might have been because of the language barrier though.

We spent three nights in the family room, which is comfortable and cosy, with its own private, sunny patio area where you can eat home-cooked meals with views over the mountains and the nearby village. Mohammed is a great cook - his rustic tagines are just what the doctor ordered after a long day's trekking. And if you're hungry during the day he's happy too rustle up some eggs ad bread. He can organise guides, transport and almost anything else.

The Riad is nice, and a bit up the hill above Imlil, so quieter than those right in the town...except a steep uphill climb from the Grand Taxi station below town. The man working there is not particularly helpful. I asked for the directions to the path to walk to the next town, which, according to the Rough Guide, was a 30-45 min walk...He sent me to the 'piste' which is a 20+ km walk... Also, while they claim there is a hammam on site, there is not. The man there said it is down in the town. So don't go there planning on a spa/hammam/massage experience on site. All that said, it was quite, clean, nice breakfast, and nice balcony overlooking a small apple orchard.

We stayed in Imlil for just one night so we could do a little hiking and see the mountains. It was very pretty and we did get a private en suite room, but the room didn't feel clean (threads in the sheets and hair stuck to one of the soaps). The Berber food didn't agree with us as well as the food in Marrakech, either.

Really enjopyed our stay. Great location in the mountains. I liked being able to walk into Imlil village for shopping and restaurants. We did a short hike but its a great base for all types of trecking. The terrace was nice to sit and enjoy the tranquility. We upgraded on arrival as the room booked was very small. The bigger room had 3 beds and lots more floor space. The rooms were very rustic and colourful - I was happy with this local feel. We ate breakfast and dinner here - both were ok, not amazing but quite typical for what you get most places. It was nice to sit with other guests and chat about our day together. Take your own wine / beer if you want a drink with dinner. The owners were great hosts, made us feel very welcome and looked after. Recommend.

After 2 days in busy Marrakech it was a real delight to stay in this Riad in Imlil. Very welcoming and extraordinary value for money - delightful and comfortable room, beautifully decorated in local style toilet/shower more than adequate with plenty of hot water - excellent views. Breakfast superb - particularly the pancakes!

Imli is a wonderful place to view/experience the Alto-Atlas. Avoid if you want crowds, hastle and commercialism, go to Setti Fatma instead. Housinne and his extended family will look after you, provide wonderful food, keep you warm (we had a woodburner in our room) and can probably organise any form of Berber mountain experience you could wish for. Advice on gentle walks through to extended mountain assaults. A real gem.

The Riad is in a nice and quiet location in Imlil, well away from the village. The view from the rooms are wonderful. The hotel is nicely decorated. The open fire in the dinning/stting room was delightful and essential in Winter since only one of the rooms has heating. We had many fun hours chatting with fellow travellers in front of the open fire. The manager was very helpful and gave us information of trekking routes without any hesitation even we did not order any trip from the hotel. Dinner (100DH per person) was excellent and plentiful although the price is a bit high. However, the number and choice of restaurants in the village was very limited in November.

Great location for hiking, you can start right off from the hotel. Cozy, bug free rooms matching the price very well. Guys running the place spoke good English, lent me a map of mountains and were in all possible ways very nice. Kind of a bonus is a nice terrace with an amazing view, breakfast is served there.. And I definitely recommend eating there instead of a restaurant in Imlil. They make huge portions of Moroccan home food, three courses, and it tastes super..
