An oasis! It was lovely stepping off the streets of Marrakesh and into this calm space. The Riads interior was beautifully designed. There was a plunge pool, dining and lounge area downstairs with bedrooms upstairs. There was a rooftop area for relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommended.

Welcomed with Moroccan tea and homemade biscuits. Riad very tranquil and relaxing. Breakfast wonderful. Bedroom clean, calm and peaceful. Bathrobes, towels, shampoo and body wash included. Very comfortable bed and linens. Homemade dinner available if wanted. Riad down side street, felt very safe. Staff always on hand for advice about local area and things to see.

We loved staying here. Lovely quiet location but only a short stroll to the old town square. Very relaxing. Beautiful breakfast - fresh fruit, fluffy pancakes, Pastries & eggs to your liking. Dinner was amazing, rose petals scattered on the table , lovely vegetable Tagine & delicious homemade ice cream. The plunge pool was very nice to cool off in on the hot 40 degree days.

This riad was such a surprise. The moment you step in, it's like a separate world that you will not want to leave. The eating area feels like the setting of Casablanca (the movie): there are two intimate tables by the decorative pool, covered by milk-white table clothes and rose petals, with silver cutlery giving a luxurious touch. The breakfast was out of this world, with simple yet delicious portions of fruits, fresh orange juice and eggs (we could choose among different options!). The yogurt blew our mind. The music choice (mainly jazz) was also on point. The building is so gorgeous. A somewhat colonial vibe and the artistic touch (there are black and white pictures hung everywhere, from the resting areas to the stairs) contribute to make this place so pleasant and peaceful. The rooms were absolutely perfect, with a vanity mirror and an extra large bathroom (with bathtub!). There was even a body cream being offered, together with other toiletry essentials. We thought it was a nice touch. The robes were as soft as clouds and everything was spotlessly clean. The owner and the staff in general are so kind and welcoming, beyond words. We adored the care and attention poured into this hotel, and our only regret is not having stayed longer! We hope the place will never change.
Cons: Nothing at all!

This was an absolutely stunning riad in a great location, really peaceful and just outside the main hubbub of the medina. It felt like the perfect sanctuary to come back to. Both the breakfast and the dinners were delicious, the staff were very welcoming and friendly (a huge thank you to Abdou!) and the facilities were great - even providing the opportunity to sunbathe on the roof terrace. I would happily return to this riad should I return to Marrakech.
Cons: No suggestions.

Beautiful Riad! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Booked for an evening meal and delicious meal in a lovely setting. Excellent breakfast too! Great location and we found it easy to navigate to the riad and also walking to main attractions. Local markets nearby were great. Lovely terrace to catch some sun and to have a drink on the upper terrace to watch the sunset.

The style and decor of the riad were stunning. It was ideally situated close to shops and amenities. The rose wine served at dinner, delicious! Rawhide, Abdou and Yassine were exceptional general managers - nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: We had a bottle of water on arrival in our bedroom but water was not replenished on the remaining days of our stay. Breakfast the first morning was delicious - fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, eggs however there was no variation on the breakfast on the days that followed.

Pretty place. Staff are exemplary, looked after us warmly in every way. Their booked drivers from the moment we landed and trips. Initially met by Riad staff on the main road, I stepped into this quiet, ambient Riad and thought of the film Casablanca. A centrally bright Riad with different levels and terraces on which to relax and meet, never felt too busy despite being fully booked. Sumptuous, tasteful elegance with traditional touches, wrapped up in contemporary finishes, cleanliness and light. Location is excellent within the Medina walls. Riads' daylight typically comes from above through the centre down and also out on the terraces 2 or 3 flights, boasting views. Also a ground floor bedroom.

We spent here 3 beautifull days. The House is located in the center of the city and placed in secluded and quiet place. The atmosphere inside is idyllic and calming. Humble but beautiful interior design. We were pleased by comfortable mattress and excellent quality of bedsheets. However the most impressing is the hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts. Excellent breakfasts in cameral patio â everything was fresh and delicious. Charming and always smiling personnel. Ours very high recommendation Alina & Radek

We had a wonderful stay at the Riad. The Riad is set back from the slightly more chaotic main streets and is a tranquil haven. There is a lovely roof terrace with loungers where you can relax away from the hustle and bustle. Rooms were clean and spacious with a large bathroom. The location wasnât too far from the main attractions and you could easily walk most places in 10 / 15 mins. The staff were exceptional and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Great value for money and a beautiful Riad. Breakfast was also delicious offering pastries, yoghurt, fruit, eggs..

The Riad was super elegant and quite.. waking up here was a peaceful bliss! The room was very clean and comfortable, the terrace was really relaxing aswell! The staff was always nice and smiling. We were welcomed with tea and on our day of departure while we had to wait for the taxi we were offered tea again as a perfect farewell!
Cons: Since the Riad is in a small alley, at night seemed a bit unsafe but it was a residential area and there were no real threats. The shower in the bathroom was open which meant that the floor was absolutely wet after shower.

We had a really lovely stay at Riad Altair. Couldn't really fault the property. Abdul was an absolute delight and such a lovely first impression, as were the whole staff who were all so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable, and the morning breakfast was tasty. They make eggs to order. I guess my 4-star rating probably comes down to value for money, as we paid close to $250 AUD a night, and I'm not quite sure it was worth that. Not quite sure we got bang for our buck, but maybe this is just Marrakech prices.

Nice breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly staff and close to the taxi drop off point. Newly decorated rooms and very clean.
Cons: Itâs written on Booking.com that they have slippers in the room, but when we asked, they said no. There are very basic toiletries in the bathroom (only body wash and shampoo). The towels are very thin and hard. No drinking water provided until we asked for. Maybe because itâs still a new Riad, things are being picked up slowly. The manager asked us to give comments for their improvement, which I think itâs a quite nice way. But overall, this is definitely not value for money, for a night over 160 euros (above average riads in Marrakech), I would expect better quality facilities.

Beautifully decorated Riad. Excellent location. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, better than photos. Very helpful manager, organised airport taxis for us. We had dinner on two nights, a set menu, food as good as any restaurants we ate in all week, better than some (eg. Le Foundouk) and the beef we had on arrival was the best dish of the week. They served dinner late for us on arrival from the airport and breakfast especially early on day of departure. Breakfasts were delicious.
Cons: Everything was lovely, but the design of a Riad means all rooms open onto the centre, so as soon as others are up there is some noise in the common areas.

Location is excellent and roof top terrace good for relaxing after the businesses of the souk. Staff are fabulous and the breakfast and dinner as good as any fine restaurant in Marrakech
Cons: Having to pay cash for food drinks and transfers when they accept Mastercard/Visa to pay for accommodation. This meant a trip to the cash point where you can only draw less than 2000 dirham in any cash withdrawal.

The property is a beautiful traditional riad with a nice roof terrace to relax after being in the chaos of the medina. The staff are attentive and caring and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely and offered different fruits and pastries every day. Its located down a side street where cars cannot get to but once you know the way itâs easy to find again. It truly is in the heart of the medina and best shows everything Marrakesh has to offer and traditional Moroccan hospitality. Thank you!

We loved our stay in Riad Altair! The hotel is located in a very nice and peaceful part of Marrakesh! We felt very safe walking to the Riad at night because of the nice neighbourhood. The staff is amazing, they really care for you and want you to have the best stay possible! The rooms are so beautiful and we had an amazing batthub to enjoy!
Cons: We like to book hotels with restaurants, so that was one of the main reason we booked this hotel. They have a restaurant, but you need to book well in advance. We are not big planners and we like to decide last minute where we eat. Because of this we have not eaten in the restaurant even if sometimes we would have liked it. To us having to book your diner well in advance was not ideal and was the main reason we did not eat there. But when they cooked it smelled incredible and i think the food there is just sublime and prepared with a lot of care!

Riad Altair was truly one of the most enjoyable and welcoming stays we've ever had the pleasure to experience. All of the staff went above and beyond the call to be friendly, welcoming and helpful to our large, and frequently disorganized family, with Abdul even going so far as running out personally to procure a special childhood treat of my elderly father in law, when he learned that we had not yet managed to locate it on our own. The cleanliness and the smell of orange blossom a soothing treat to the senses. Many in our group are frequent travelers and all agree that this was one of the most wonderful accommodations that we've enjoyed. Add to that the staff, the friendliness and family and this was by far the beyond compare. Thank you to all for making everyone feel so welcome and at home.

Two stars are deducted from the 5 the property should deserve, for two things. 1) Wrong information in the description, for example: calling the public jacuzzi, a pool; or saying that there is parking on site, to get there you have to walk for more than 150 m of pedestrian alleys, from the nearest street, it is impossible to have âparking on siteâ. 2) Lack of service policy. Although the staff is kind, the Riad does not think about the client. I share our experience. As soon as we booked, they wrote us offering transportation, we replied telling them we were have car. They never told us the street that goes close to the Riad is close, has been on repair for two months ago, it was impossible to get close by car. I left the car and my wife at 800 m from the Riad went to ask for help, luckily, I found Abdou who help us, they should have warned us about the situation, a set a meeting point. The night before leaving they asked us to pay local taxes and consumption, but they do have cards. Shorting the customer of local currency just before leaving is irresponsible, even more if you have to pay $420 Dirhams (+U$40) for two days.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Transfer taxi waiting for us and room just as pictured. The staff were available 24/7 and service fantastic. Just two small gripes: the pillows were not great and on the last day the patio heater was not working so eating in the courtyard was cold (there wasn't really anywhere else). Without these the experience would have been a straight 5* Would I go there again? Absolutely!

Beautiful riad with wonderfully friendly staff. Abdel was great from the moment we booked our room and helped to arrange an airport pickup and dinner the evening we arrived, which was a welcome relief after traveling from Singapore to London and London to Marrakech within a 24-hour period. We stayed in the Syrius room, which was clean and spacious - a wonderful space to return to after exploring the city. Sunrises over the rooftop were chilly but worth it - the prayer calls and birdsong as light filters over the city must be witnessed at least once. Breakfast on the patio was plentiful, varied and always a relaxed affair. The rest of the communal area is also lovely and worth spending some time in. I managed to read a book from start to finish in one sitting! We had wanted to go to the Atlas Moyntains, but Abdel advised us against it due to poor weather forecasts. While this was obviously disappointing, I really appreciated his honesty, as we have been on some holidays were people would have been only too willing to take our money, regardless of whether conditions were suitable. Yassine was another incredibly helpful member of staff. He seemed to have a sixth sense and appeared whenever we had a question, but was otherwise unseen. Things that would make Riad Altair even more special: - Credit card payment availability - Daily mineral water - Gentle reminders for guests to respect other guests, by not being excessively loud

my partner wanted to get away for a few days we wanted to be able to relax and at the same time be able to do some sightseeing. We didn't know what to expect but we were not disappointed The hotel is situated in a residential area 15 minutes walk from the market. The hotel was clean and well kept. The service we received when we arrived was great we were givn a tour of the hotel facilities and an introduction to the local area. our room was also clean and tidy with towels and robes , extra pillows. The only thing I can say is that my partner is 6ft 3in and the bed was not suitable for his long legs also there was a thick 20 -100 tog duvet which was too hot maybe they could provide an extra light sheet. The chairs were not ideal for us either as they were stools so therefore the bed was our seating area uncomfortable no back support. The hotel is situated 2 minutes away from the mosque and therefore we heard the calling for prayer very clearly 7 times a day with the first call being at 5am all lasting 5 minutes :-( so ear plugs required there are enough shops and the market is close but please be careful when walking as you will be approached by hagglers just be careful and say no if you are not happy.

Always someone there to help with what you need. Yasin was a great help with our travel arrangements. He brings the best freshly baked croissants every morning, we left one morning at 7am and he had everything ready for us to have a full breakfast. We stayed in a room upstairs and it was perfect, very clean and comfortable, noise level was fine never had any noise around our room. Getting to the hotel might seem a bit scary if you arrive at night, but it was actually very safe and its one a quiet street. About a 10min walk to the medina. Has a lovely chimney for cold nights and a tv room with games and books.

Vi hadde ingen form for lufte muligheter. Uten mulighet for noe privat liv.

Helt fantastiskt!!

Spent 3 nights at the Riad. It was such a beautiful setting, with all the comforts, perfectly situated to explore Marrakech. It was a nice place to wake up in and return to after a busy day in the hustle bustle and heat of the morrocan city. Staff were lovely, friendly and always eager to help. Breakfast was lovely, served with a smile, a great way to start the days adventures.

It was a great stay... although we have to wait for our room to be fixed when we arrived but the staff are all very helpful! They also gave my husband a cake for his birthday :))) the wifi is not so good because we are on the top floor... but overall it was a extraordinary Riad! definitely a great deal

God morgenmad inkluderet i vÊrelsets pris.

Hotellet kunne gjerne hatt kjÞleskap i hvert rom.

Abdel and his stuff did all for us during our stay. Especially the New Year dinner was successful. We also went to Essaouira for two nights (inkl swim in the Atlantic Sea) and took a trip up to Oikaimeden for a wonderful ski day. We truly could recommend a stay at the Riad!

A very nice Riad very a high service level. The only small problem is the air conditioning that had some trouble keeping down the heat. It was however not a big problem.

These hotel is perfect for getting away from the noisy streets of Marrakesh, staf was friendly and caring. For us the bathrooms are the main concern when we travel, they need to be clean, in this riad we had to request to change rooms because of the bad smell coming from the bathroom was affecting the whole room. They promptly gave us another room. Other guests that stayed in that specific room, were having the same problem and also requested to be moved, some left the hotel. Other than that the place was great for the price.
