Wonderful location, lot of space, good heating which is important in winter, comfortable bathroom, bed and stairs.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of many places to visit. It’s in a quiet alley, so quiet at night. The riad is lovely, beautifully decorated with seating areas and a roof terrace beside the palace walls. The rooms are large, and very comfortable with excellent facilities. The staff are helpful and friendly. We have booked for next year already!

Cons: The breakfast could be improved. It used to include more variety with eggs and fruit etc but is now quite lacking. It is very basic with a small shop bought pancake, a small cube of cake and some bread and jams. Very different to breakfasts we have had in other riads.

The Riad is beautiful. It’s decorated with attention to detail. We had a beautiful room with loads of space (I think we were upgraded?) Bathroom was great and we always had plenty of hot water. It’s only 2 min walk from a taxi drop off so you don’t have to walk too far with cases. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was great. As we were staying in the winter the buildings get cold but we had a little heater in our room which sorted us out.

Cons: There was construction going on on the rooftop which made part of the roof too unusable and the area unpleasant to relax in. This is a real shame as the pool a the roof top was the reason I booked this Riad. I would have appreciated communication before arrival that this facility was impacted.

Absolutely beautiful Riad, very traditional and quiet! Before we arrived, the hotel made us feel very welcome and made sure all elements of our stay were easy and pre-arranged. Upon arrival, the Riad arranged for us to be collected at the airport. The room, although small, was exactly what we wanted, minimalist and quaint. Our first night, the staff catered a delicious 3 course dinner, in a stunning private area. Definitely the best Lamb Tagine we had during our visit and so much cheaper than we expected. The breakfast, included, was tasty and offered a lot of variety. The Riad is located right in a prime location and very easy to find and negotiate around the busy city. We felt completely safe during our stay. And the everywhere was happy to accept Dirhams or Euros. We pretty much had the roof top pool all to ourselves during our stay which was amazing. During our stay Badr and his team made us feel very welcome and catered to all our needs, cannot fault his service and the accommodation. Would recommend to anyone who wants a traditional place to stay in Marrakech. Thank you so much! Jordan & Alex

Cons: Nada. Todo fue estupendo.

Amazing hosts! Beautiful patio terrace at the top level with outdoor seating perfect for photos and to just chill in the morning. The location is amazing close to everything in the center. Breakfast was good. Booked online and in advance for one night, there were slight personal issues we had with finding a spot for suitcase storage after checkout time and the hosts were nice and tried to help us. Room was small for three people but that’s not an issue because we slept amazing and felt very comfortable. Overall this was a great experience and would love to visit marrakech again and stay in a traditional Moroccan garden house, Riad.

The short, bespectacled woman at the reception desk informed us that our payment had not been deducted through the booking system and that we had to pay immediately. Yes, the payment may not have gone through, but we couldn't just run away. Exhausted, we stood there for 40-45 minutes trying to make the payment without even being allowed to go upstairs for two minutes to rest. We had just arrived from abroad, and we were very tired from our train journey that day. We couldn't just leave our belongings and run away. Of course, we made the payment, but she was rude to us. The room was old, and since we went in the winter, it had nothing to do with what we saw in the photo. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Cons: The reception staff were rude and completely unsympathetic, and the room was old. What's more, the heater and air conditioner in the room weren't working effectively. We were cold.

We voelden ons erg welkom!

Schade !

Nice place to stay overall, good location and nice swimming pool.

Cons: The hotel manager wasn't very honest and initially tried to charge us an additional €200+ on our stay with the currency conversion. It was impossible to pay by card (I suspect this was on purpose) and we were forced to pay by cash. Once again the manager tried to scam us on the conversion rate with cash payment. The services they proposed (taxi, excursions etc.) were also twice the amount proposed by local providers.

Cons: Aria condizionata scarsa.

I had a wonderful stay at Riad Carina. The location is perfect – just a 5-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna square, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in a traditional Moroccan style that adds to the charm of the stay. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh local flavors to start the day. One of the highlights is the small swimming pool and the rooftop terrace – perfect for cooling off and unwinding after exploring the busy streets of Marrakech.

Beautiful riad in a quiet lane with convenient access to attractions, markets and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff and a rooftop pool great for cooling down and relaxing. A very good traditional breakfast is included and we also pre-ordered a three-course meal, to be ready upon arrival the first evening, which was delicious. Staff were happy to store luggage after check-out and allow us to continue to use the facilities without charge until our next riad was available later in the day. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the pool, which was brilliant for escaping the heat when it was becoming unbearable. Staff were amazing throughout our stay and was best exemplified in our hosts help in booking canyoneering, which is was able to secure a good deal. This included being driven there and back. We would definitely recommend asking about canyoneering, as we had a great time doing it.

Cons: No complaints.

the "Riad" was ok

Cons: The stuff was extremly rude and unhelpful. During the night I had debri falling on my head from the ceilling, when I showed it to the stuff they took no responsibility and offered no solution over the issue. We were simply told to cancel the reservation ( with a attitude as well). At first they were even trying to get us to cancel it through booking ourselfs knowing that we wouldn't get refunded due to the cancelation policy and also we wouldn't be able to write a review. Also the rooms are quite small and it's not a real Riad. Having stayed in other places aswell , there are plenty of other stays in Marrakech which are much more welcoming and helpful, and also with better rooms and closer to the centre.

Cons: Personally, breakfast wasn't for us. Only coffee was served, and you needed to ask for tea. We found breakfast was the same every day except the egg dish changed. We knew what to expect for breakfast but felt a little variety would have been good.

I stayed at Riad Carina with my mother and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The riad is in a quiet and safe street, just a short walk from all the main attractions in the Medina—perfect for exploring Marrakech on foot. Said and Zahira were amazing hosts, always ready to help and made sure everything was perfectly organised for us. Their kindness really made a difference. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. There’s also a lovely rooftop with a small pool—great for relaxing after a busy day in the city. On our first night, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the riad. For just €38 total for two people, we had a delicious meal along with a 30-minute massage each—an excellent value and a perfect way to settle in after traveling. Breakfast each morning was simple but very nice, with freshly and deliciously prepared eggs. We truly felt at home. Thank you, Said and Zahira, for such a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The Riad was well located, 10 mns walk from the main place el fena. Lots of local shops nearby when you need to buy bottled water, don’t buy in Riad a lot more expensive (we made that mistake) Our deluxe room was lovely, very clean and quiet. The breakfast was sufficient and served between 8 and 9.30. It is a shame that Said couldn’t give us a little breakfast eg cake and crepes (they normally offer at breakfast) on the morning we left 7.30. We did ask and I think it would have been a nice gesture! Overall Said and Co were welcoming, we had mint tea on arrival. We were slightly overcharged for the tourist tax which according to booking.com should have been 18 euros. We paid 300 dirham ( 28 euros) with two bottles of water at 20 dirham each. We didn’t say anything at the time as we didn’t realise until way afterwards. The pool is small but we knew that, 4 loungers which we used every day for one hour or two to escape the very busy centre. Overall very happy with the Riad for the price. Would go back.

First of all, I want to highlight how kind, helpful, and accommodating the staff were—especially Sayeed. From organizing an amazing buggy tour, lending us a charger, storing our luggage, to arranging an early breakfast—he was incredibly friendly and genuinely a good person. The room also pleasantly surprised us with its interior design. Great value for the service we received. A big thank you!

Cons: The only thing is that the pool could have been a bit warmer, but it’s perfectly fine on hot summer days.

The room was very comfortable. The location is just far enough back from the mayhem to have some peace and quiet with a very nice roof terrace, sun chairs and pool. (no views from the terrace). Wifi is minimal in some places on the terrace. The breakfast was a minimal serving of your typical Moroccan breakfast which we skipped on two of the three mornings we were there. We found the best coffee at the Tafoukte restaurant at the end of the street on the left where you can sit and watch the morning chaos enter through the medina wall.

Cons: I really didn't like the fact that I had carried my own bags to the top floor (2 x 23kg bags 3rd floor) while the gentleman showing us to our room just watched. Even after me leaving one bag on the first landing I still had to go back and retrieve it. Don't get me wrong I am quite capable of carrying my bags but I do expect some curtesy when paying top dollar for accommodation.

A lovely Riad in the heart of the Medina area, so a perfect location for exploring the city on foot. Awesome staff who went out of their way to look after us. We had an early flight the morning we left, prior to the normal breakfast service, but they still provided a breakfast tray (of both hot & cold food) for us before we left which was most welcome and a lovely touch.

Good location close to the main square.

Cons: Reception staff were really rude especially Sara. It was rare to be greeted by someone in reception and you would have to call them and it always felt like you were disturbing them from what they were doing. Everything appeared to be an issue and confrontational such as explaining there were no pool towels in my room, or when the room was cleaned and I asked for replacement towels she scowled that I had my towel for the duration of the stay and didn't believe me when I explained the cleaning staff had taken it. (I did meet the girls who cleaned the room as she opened the door and I did find her very friendly with her broken English) Breakfast was a minimum compared to other Riads I have stayed at in Morocco and in Marrakesh on this trip. Pool was not clean and had many stones on the bottom so was really hard to walk on. Also the filters were not turned on and so a scum was on the top of the pool. There are only 4 deck chairs upstairs of which two are in a shaded area so you need to be up early to get these. Overall I would say this stay is overpriced for the bare minimum provided with rude receptionists.

Amazing location!! Within 15min of all main attractions. Loved breakfast and amazing coffee each morning. Rooftop is also lovely but was too cold during this time of year for a pool.

What a beautiful Riad! Every detail of the interior decoration is beautiful. The room was a great size, and we slept well. We hardly interacted with any staff and to be honest, we had our hopes up that we would be 'hosted' a bit more than we were and the food wasn't very good.

This was just a quick night’s stay before travelling onwards. The riad is so peaceful, and beautifully decorated. It’s quiet and a perfect spot to explore from, or simply as a transit stop. The breakfast and evening meal were delicious. The staff are so kind and organised our drivers seamlessly.

Cons: All was great

A real gem of a riad tucked up against the walls of the palace. The location is excellent with easy walks to central spots. The riad is very calm and peaceful, with beautiful rooms, all newly modernised and decorated. There is a comfortable dining room for breakfast, which was delicious, and for dinner, also excellent. The roof terrace is a nice extra, with a pool for the warmer months. The staff could not be more kind. Nothing was too much trouble, from organising drivers and providing meals, to taking care of our possessions whilst we made a trip away. We made this riad the hub of our travelling holiday, returning to it three times, and felt like old friends by the time we left.

Cons: All was perfect.

Cons: We had a terrible experience in Marrakech, and unfortunately, this hotel did not make it any better. First, there is no parking nearby, despite the listing not making this clear. They say there's one 3 minutes away but this parking is inconsistent and overpriced—one day it’s £8, the next it’s £15, and the next, who knows? If you're travelling by car, do not expect convenient parking. I tried to contact the hotel via email before our arrival, but they never responded. Due to our overall negative experience in the city, we decided to leave two days earlier than planned and requested a cancellation. I understand that this was a non-refundable booking, but the hotel refused any flexibility. What really frustrated me was that as soon as I requested the cancellation, they immediately took a pre-authorization from my card. Upon check-in, I told the receptionist that I wanted to use a different card to avoid non-sterling transaction fees, but he falsely claimed that the charge had been made by Booking.com, not them. In the end, I realized that it was actually the hotel that had charged my card when I had to pay the transaction fee—a clear lack of honesty. On top of that, we were scammed by a local family, a parking place and the police. When I told the hotel about this, the receptionist's response was simply: "That’s how it is here." No sympathy, no help—just acceptance of the situation as normal. As for the stay itself: Extremely noisy—this is an old Moroccan house where you can hear every movement in the corridors. Uncomfortable beds—we barely got any rest. Terrible drainage system—showers and sinks did not function properly. Overall, this was an awful experience, both in the hotel and in Marrakech itself. The city felt stressful, unclean, and far from the "mystical" charm it promises. I would not return and do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Location just 3 mins walk.from Tinsmiths Square and the cafes and restaurants. Once through the entrance door in a cobbled alleyway, it's a beautiful Riad. An oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the nearby market. We had Room 3 which was spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. There was plenty of storage space for clothing. A very good breakfast of coffee, juice, pancakes or omelette, bread and coconut cake. Lovely roof terrace overlooking the old Palace walls and the nesting Storks. A 20 min walk from the Saddian Tombs, the Mosque and right next to the entrance to the Badia Palace. The Bahia place is a short walk away also.

Great location for exploring the old town. Whilst the Riad isn’t accessible by car, it is a 2 min walk from Place Mellah which is easy for pick ups and drop offs. The riad is brilliant , the staff are all friendly and welcoming and the meal on the day of arrival is a must as was lovely. The place is smart and very clean and a lovely haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. Definitely recommended

The road was lovely. We arrived early but was a shame we couldn't check in till 2. We were a bit miffed as when we paid for the booking he insisted it was done with the card in the name of the booking and we couldn't use my husband's card then the card I used had my initials so he said that wasn't the same name either. It shouldn't matter as long as they get the money. The beds were hard but the rooms very comfortable. We had breakfast on one morning and it was ok. The pool area and roof terrace is in the shade at this time of year so bear that in mind if you want to relax in the sun.

The main area was really nice.

Cons: the room felt like it was outdated, old and dusty. Things were crooked and hanging very loosely on the wall. The kept the sun roof on the whole time and it was dusty in our section of the riad. The rooftop felt out of use and was covered most of the time.

The property is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the Medina. While the women at the front desk and service staff were polite and accommodating. But one male staff member was extremely rude and dishonest. He overcharged us beyond the Expedia quoted price and was overly pushy in trying to sell tours and recommend restaurants. The rooms were decent but came with several issues, including bathroom doors that wouldn’t lock and a lack of hot water at night. Additionally, the deluxe room was much smaller than advertised on Expedia, certainly not the 500 sqft as listed.

Our stay at Riad Carina was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed into this charming and impeccably maintained riad. The cleanliness of the property was outstanding, with every detail meticulously cared for, making it a comfortable and relaxing retreat after exploring the bustling streets of the Medina. The location of Riad Carina is unbeatable, situated right in the heart of the Old City. It’s perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and history of Marrakech. Everything from the souks to key attractions was just a short walk away, yet the riad itself felt like a tranquil haven. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was Said. Words can not fully capture how wonderful he was throughout our visit. Said was more than a host; he was a true gem—kind, helpful, and endlessly sweet. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from recommendations on where to visit to arrange anything we required. His genuine hospitality and warm demeanour made us feel like part of the family. If you're considering staying in Marrakech, Riad Carina is an absolute must. It's a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and unparalleled hospitality. We can’t wait to return! Thank you!!!

Amazing stay! Highly recommend it! It’s still very central, although a tiny bit away from the noise. They are building around the Riad so the street right in front is not the cleanest. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The room is nice and comfortable. Changing the AC mode worked great because it was colder at night. The terrace is also good.

Cons: Dry towels and shower handle not the best (+low pressure) - minor details.

Booking came with breakfast although my mother and I never had it. The location in terms of the city was pretty awesome(it is in the Medina) however, the Riad itself is down a small lane/alley so be careful with the wheels of your suitcases or if you have any early morning activities. Although the sir at the reception is kind enough to accompany uou if you are alone. The 10 euro taxi pick up to the riad becomes 50 dirhams (to the train station) when leaving…. Overall nice, clean, small issues with the hot water and not a lot of tv channels in the room… but you should be out and about anyways 😄, the restaurant at the roundabout is affordable and delicious.

Stayed there only one night!

Cons: I had a deal with a night receptionist to get a taxi for 70 MAD. When the taxi arrived, the driver said 150 MAD. Surprised, I asked the receptionist the reason for this change. The receptionist said in front of the taxi driver that he had never told me 70 MAD as a price but 150. It was making me look like a liar! I was humiliated. This will be my last memory of Morocco, what a shame!

A really gorgeous Riad, in a prime location! Our bedroom was on the terrace which was super handy for us when we wanted to chill outside on the sun loungers or go for a dip in the pool. The food served at the Riad was exceptional, it was really clean and amazing value for money.

Cons: One of the only down sides for us was trying to pay at the property. None of our cards worked despite us using them at other locations. Despite having a card against the booking, they wouldn't allow us to pay through booking.com so in the end we had to take money out which took us a while due to limits at the card machines. Just a warning to pay before you arrive as this can be a really tedious situation for both the Riad and yourself.

We asked the Riad to help us out with a last minute cancellation due to a family health problem. They refused to cancel our booking without full penalty; furthermore when we arrived on the second night of our 3-night booking after making travel adjustments, they had given our room away to someone else! We hadn’t even cancelled our booking, which was fully paid. Totally unapologetic. Would never do business with them again.

I stayed at Riad Carina for 4 nights. I found the stay excellent. The Riad is very quiet, calm, safe, light and airy. The staff are efficient and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. Cons: Unfortunately the room I stayed in had a massive bedbug infestation... I did not discover this until late at night, at which point there was nobody working the front desk to provide a new room. I spent the night on the floor and got over 12 bedbug bites. In the morning, when I told the staff what had happened they tried to gaslight me and say there were no bedbugs. After I left, I received a call informing me they had discovered bedbugs and offering me a refund; however, the damage had already been done. I had to get all of my clothes and bags professionally washed and I am still recovering from the bedbug bites.

PROS - regular cleaning - AC - enough electric sockets - pool - staff is really nice - breakfast is OK - bathroom was big - hairdryer, towels - nice riad overall - shower gel and shampoo (though shared in big bottles) - parking nearby

Cons: CONS - the room we stayed in isn’t pictured in any of the categories; it was much darker as it had fewer and smaller windows and looked ‘used’ (note that pic is taken during the night) - bad lighting - had 4 bank cards, none worked at the hotel (haven’t had issues elsewhere) - small room - one big shower gel that you have to move around between shower and sink; two would be nicer - it was our 3rd stay in Morocco (also Marrakech) with several different accommodations and honestly we were a bit disappointed in terms of price/quality ratio - the bed is very used, it was impossible to sleep - breakfast on the terrace would be much nicer (it’s on the ground floor in a special room) - small bed (specified though)

Lovely decor and furnishings very friendly staff who are very competent. I have stayed in this riad before and like it very much. A special effort was made to give me some breakfast before departure as I was leaving for the airport before the start of breakfast service.

Cons: As in most riads there is some acceptable noise from other guests however my last afternoon/ evening was spoilt by an inconsiderate family with hyperactive shouting children which could be heard throughout the property and above any TV noise. Staff were very friendly, even when we turned up late from the airport on the first night. We had pre-booked dinner and felt bad that it was so late, but the dinner was great. There was bread and dips, then what we thought was the main course of 3 or 4 different dishes. Then when we thought we were done, a huge tagine of 6 pieces of chicken for 2 of us arrived too. Breakfast was also great for the price - coffee, orange juice, a sort of omelette, various breads, jams, and some sort of breakfast sponge cake was served to our table each morning. It was a bit hard to find in the dark on the first night, but the location was actually perfect. At the end of the street on the right, you can see the walls of El Badi Palace straight in front of you. If you turn left at the end of the street the Road is on, to the roundabout, there's a local square 1 minute away, with lots of choice for food in the evenings, that's a bit cheaper than at the main square, . There is also a cash exchange that feels quite safe on the local square. The Saadian Tombs were about 5 minutes away (West from the local square), with a Bim supermarket on the way for very cheap drinks and snacks. The Bahia palace was also about 5 minutes away (North-East). There are lots more restaurants on Av Hommane al Fatouaki (North-west) from the local square. However, the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa was less than 10 minutes away in a straight line North, so you can still get there easily enough. I think it was a perfect location so as not to be completely overwhelmed by staying right in the very centre at Jemaa el-Fnaa, and not wanting to stay outside the city walls at the very Western-looking hotels on the West of the city. The rooftop terrace and (unheated) pool area were very peaceful, considering how busy the city is and how close it was to the centre. I also enjoyed seeing the storks that nest on top of El Badi Palace a lot closer up from the roof terrace!

Cons: By booking a "small double" I knew from the photos that there might not be an actual door between the bedroom and bathroom. I could have spent about £5 more per night for the better room, but I risked it. Well, the small double room we were given indeed didn't have a door separating the bathroom. This might not be what some couples would like, but we got more used to it over the 6 nights. It was still extremely good value for about £42/night. I would absolutely stay again, but I would probably pay a bit extra for a better room.

I wish I had longer at Riad Carina, it was only 1 night, with an early departure, so I can't rate the breakfast. The staff were lovely and friendly. My room was very cute and beautiful. My bed was super comfortable. The rest of the road looked lovely, lots of little seating alcoves and plants everywhere. The location is really good. Right in the middle of it all, but just off the busiest Medina streets.

Cons: I didn't use the roof terrace but had a look, and perhaps it's a bit tired up there, old furniture, not really looking like the photos (but maybe they will brighten it up in summer). But as far as the room goes, no complaints at all, just lovely

Perfect location, 15-20 min walk distance to Jemaa el-Fna. On the way to Jemaa el-Fna, within a 5 min walk, there are multiple restaurants and shops. As 2 girl friends we felt very safe, even at night. The Riad is comfortable, neat and the staff is always keen to help!

Cons: We had an extra charge for my daughter who just turned 16 that we were not aware of . We had to wait 35 min to get our mint tea. We were tired and just wanted to get to our room. The room was clean but the bed too firm. The rooftop looked so beautiful online but we were so disappointed in reality with it and the pool.

The staffs were really helpful, kind and thoughtful. They were flexible and was ready to answer any queries we had. The place was clean and cozy. It was a bit far from the main road so it was quiet (you don't near any vehicle movements). They organise day trips according to your needs and was informative and not at all expensive. They offer dinners, massages, traditional bath at reasonable rate at the riad which was much better priced than the normal places. Airport is very close (100 derham one way) and you can get the taxi anytime from the square which is about 2-3 mins walk from the riad.

Riad Carina is an absolute gem. Superbly located on the fringe of the Madina, this Riad is quiet perfectly set up and a joy to stay in. Breakfast was traditional and a perfect start to the day. 'Said' seemed to be there the whole time and looked after us daily. He was also able to arrange a guide to take us around the Medina and highlight some of the must see locations. Well worth booking if you're able.

Cons: The room aircon was a little temperamental and it was quite cool at night. However, the extra blankets made sleep very easy. You won't get a taxi to the front door, which is located down a narrow alley way, but this made it all the more exceptional and added to its ambiance and quietness.

Absolutely stunningly Beautiful Riad.As soon as you Enter its Secure front entrance You are met by a couteous and genuinely friendly staff member who will bring you straight to Reception area for check in with the lovely Karina and if Saaid is on duty you will greeted with freshly made Morrocan mint Tea. All the staff are Incredibley Friendly, and Genuine. From The Reception area on the ground floor to the Terrace area in top floor with open air Swimming pool, and private Hammas you are within Luxurious surroundings. The Rooms are also Beautuful and are Tastfully decorated and steeped in Traditional Art and soft furnishings. They are super clean and fresh, and the bed linen is Smart . The indoor restaurent dining area is Plush and comfortable , as is the optional outdoor terrace dinning area; both warm and Cozy settings surrounded with Tall potted palm trees and other Colourful Plants and Foliage giving an Ambience of Relaxation and a True holiday vibe. The staff are Truely Amazing, and take pride in their work, and they themselves seem to enjoy being there too ,which says a lot for their positive working environment. Their Chef/ Cook is Fantastic and the quality of the food is Top Notch and is as Good as Any 5 star hotel ive stayed in. The Rooms are Quiet, and the Riad has an Abundance of quirky rest areas where you can sit and relax in private; honestly Riad Carina is a Fantastic place to stay. Outside Riad Carina the local environment is also quiet and clean , and its locality is close enough to the main square and roads where access to its surrounding Historical sites, shops, and taxis are easily accessable.

- beautiful roof terrace, - air conditioning in the room, - hairdryer in the room, - iron can be asked any time, - breakfast was served earlier for me after my request, - free tea after arrival - location is ok for some sights

Cons: - rooms need minor repairs, - low pressure in taps, - water doesn't go down in the shower, - very dirty hairdryer - far away from public transport, - located in a not very pleasant street, Despite all these small thing I had a good impressions of the Riad, but till the moment of departure. The day before I said that I would leave early in the morning and the administrator promised to prepare breakfast in advance and to help me with the taxi. However, the next day the new administrator didn't know anything about that. There was no breakfast, and as for the taxi, he said that I would find one "somewhere in the street". After my questions the administrator brought me my breakfast in a hurry but I didn't have time to eat as I immediately ran to look for a taxi. For a person who had to take the bus to go the next city and was afraid of being late, I was extremely disappointed and stressed.

The riad is beautiful and in a great location. It has a nice pool and roof top area to relax.

Cons: The manager was a little pushy about us paying for the room and our meal in cash. He said that my credit card didn't work after running it multiple times, but when I called the credit card company there was no record of the attempted charges. The whole thing didn't make any sense and left us feeling a bit uncomfortable.

The small swimming pool on the roof top was nice. The roof top is very calm and good to sit and relax. The airco was functioning well and helped so much keeping our room cool. Housekeeping gave us a good stayover service. Saeed pointed out on the map some spots to visit when we arrived.

Cons: Even though the riad looks very nice and cosy, the staff doesn't make you feel at ease (reception staff). The communication with them was a bit weird and lacking genuine care it felt. My girlfriend and I speak Arabic, French and English.. so it's not a language barrier, but more like they just wanna give the bare minimum. The breakfast was in poor shape, mainly jams and butter. The first day we had eggs but then they didn't serve eggs the second day until we asked for it and they brought eggs with some attitude.. it felt like (here are your freaking eggs). Upon check out we were asked by Saeed to give them a review on Booking.com and a rating of 10 !! As a hotelier myself, I would say you don't ask for a 10, you earn it. The wifi was bad and slow at times. In general, compared to a couple riads and dars we stayed at, we expected Carina to be right up there with them.

Cons: some plugs and lights didn’t work. pool was cold but this seems to be common in Morocco in April.

We were a couple of weeks ago just one night in Riad Carina and we really would like to coma back. The personel attended us extremely well and the place is really nice without being touristic. Just a beautiful place without pretensions that we loved.

Lovely breakfast daily. The pool was cleaned regularly and was great to jump in at the start and end of the day. The location was great - easy 10 min walk to the Medina. The Riad is located on a quiet side street so you do not have noisy traffic. The hot water and air-conditioner facilities were perfect.

Cons: The internet signal in the room was weak

Very authentic place. Good location. Great service. Pool and rooftop area very nice. It is down a back street which can make you feel slightly apprehensive but so are most Riads and it is safe. I think the one thing I would like the staff to do is improve their communication. They didn’t tell us about city tax until last day- you can only pay in euros or dirham CASH and not card. Luckily we scraped enough together but if we couldn’t then it wouldn’t have been good. Also we asked for our boarding passes printed which they agreed but only when printed they said it was 20 dirham. The last thing was they never told us there was a 12pm curfew. They let us in at 2am but we would’ve rather not been an inconvenience to them. Rooms were ok a little dirty to be honest. There was no option to not asked for the room cleaned every day and had to leave key at reception whenever you leave riad. However it was a very authentic riad service was lovely and I would recommend it!

Location was convenient. Near to alot of restaurants and the Bahia palace.

Cons: While the lobby is well maintained and clean, the room feels dusty and there is a layer of dust covering lights and furniture of the room. The carpet in the room feels like it never has been cleaned. There was also no change of fresh towels which is usually expected after a room service. The pool waters look murky and uninviting. Further, the photos in the listing looks very different from what it actually looks. Seems like the listing photo has been heavily edited. This isn't the only riad I've stayed and I usually hesitate to give bad reviews but the cleanliness of the room is in need of improvement. wouldn't personally recommend this riad unfortunately...

Perfect location, just a short walk to the centre/souks. Friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, great breakfast, and the rooftop area/pool is perfect to relax after a day exploring.

At first sight, well appointed, with nice riad courtyards, greenery and comfortable seating.

Cons: The covers for the bed were stained and dusty. There was a ball of hair from previous occupants in the middle of the bed and hair on a pillow. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and in the absence of clean covers for the bed we were cold. Quite a noisy location. Finally, we had asked for a prompt breakfast but nothing was on the table at the advertised start time which caused us a delay in leaving for the airport.

The Riad is beautiful and the staff is amazing. The Riad is in a great location, close to all the sites. The Riad is also off a main road and easy to find. Not in a maze lol. There is a sqaure 2 mis walk where you can get a taxi. Lots of shops and food nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Great stay!

Location is very very good. Staff are very helpful and very friendly. Work really hard to meet any needs you have and sort everything you need. Made sure that we were comfortable and did a lot to make us feel very happy. Only 2min walk from the busy streets and local shops. Even though it is near a busy road, the Riad is very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful interior which make you feel really at peace from the bush outside world. Breakfast was good, coffee, tea, eggs , bread and pastry. Freshly squeezed orange juice as well. Very delicious.

Cons: Water pressure in the shower could be better and in winter months more heating in the room. Other traditional Moroccan breakfasts and not just bread/pastry

Riad Carina is a quaint but beautiful place to stay if you are visiting Marrakech. It’s a stone’s-throw from the Medina, and is operated by the most amazing staff.

Cons: Nothing!

The staff at Riad Carina couldn’t have been more accommodating - they were always present, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. On one day, we had an excursion into the desert which began before breakfast officially started - the staff were more than happy to accommodate us and provided us with breakfast early which was really nice! The room itself was nice, warm (we travelled in winter) and a nice haven from Marrakech Medina!

Cons: The property was amazing and these are mostly tiny points constructive points: -the room itself was a little dusty, but nothing too bad -there was no hand soap in the bathroom - but the body wash and shampoo were some of the nicest I’ve smelled! -the bedding could have been housed in a proper duvet cover, rather than just placed on a laundered sheet, but that’s just personal preference. -the doors to the rooms were a little insecure - even with the padlock on the door I managed to open it from the outside - but the road itself was very secure, with an outside buzzer and staff working at all hours, so there was no real risk on that front.

Beautiful Riad, centrally located - walking distance to the Place Djema el Fna and the souks, and close to plenty of restaurants and cafés. The staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The Riad is very thoughtfully decorated, with some lovely artwork on the walls. I only stayed one night but had a delicious dinner and breakfast, and will come back here next time I'm in Marrakech!

Cons: Everything was great! The rooms are quite small but I think this is the case with most of the riads in Marrakech.

Like: - Access to city centre. Important landmarks of Marrakech are walkable. - Helpful staff. Zahira, Saeed, Aziza lend help as much as they can. - Minimum but sufficient breakfast. - Decent room - Had heaters in room and toilet - Good for the price we paid for Improvements - Room was bit small and congested - Washroom utilities - No staff to drop your luggage from/to cab - Looks bit old and need some makeover
