Le personnel professionnel et exemplaire

Cons: Je souhaite avant tout souligner le professionnalisme et la gentillesse de votre personnel, qui a été exemplaire. En revanche, l’état matériel et le confort de l’hôtel n’étaient pas du tout à la hauteur des attentes pour un tarif de 1800 dirhams par nuit et par chambre. Tout d’abord, les installations étaient dans un état de délabrement manifeste. La salle de bain était particulièrement problématique : le débit de la douche était si faible qu’on aurait dit prendre une douche dans une flaque d’eau, sans parler de l’absence de porte, ce qui inondait la salle de bain entière après chaque utilisation. De plus, les draps étaient sales, et le coffre-fort de la chambre de ma mère ne fonctionnait pas. Aucune paire de chaussons n’était fournie, et les serviettes étaient noirâtres, ce qui est totalement inacceptable pour un établissement de cette catégorie. En outre, aucun service de pressing n’était disponible, et il n’y avait pas de place de parking sécurisée pour garer mon véhicule, alors que pour un tarif de 1800 dirhams par nuit, je m’attendais à un minimum de commodités de ce type. En plus des problèmes déjà mentionnés, je tiens à ajouter que la chambre elle-même présentait plusieurs défauts majeurs. Le mobilier était dans un état déplorable : la table faisant office de bureau semblait usée et de seconde main, et le canapé était en très mauvais état, donnant l’impression d’un meuble d’occasion plutôt que d’un équipement digne d’un hôtel de cette catégorie. De plus, l’éclairage de la chambre était particulièrement insuffisant. Il n’y avait aucune lampe au plafond ni source de lumière centrale, ce qui rendait la pièce sombre et peu accueillante. L’éclairage se limitait à quelques lumières au niveau du lit, ce qui n’est absolument pas suffisant pour une chambre de ce standing. En ajoutant ces éléments aux problèmes déjà cités (sanitaires défaillants, absence de chaussons, draps et serviettes sales, pas de parking, etc…

Freundliches Personal, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, sehr ordentlich, wenn auch ein Teil der Einrichtung (Teppiche in den Stockwerken) schon ein wenig gelitten hat über die Jahre. Netter Pool und Innenhof, alles nah am Stadzentrum, behindertengerecht und kinderfreundlich.

Cons: C'est notre deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel. Nous sommes retournés en septembre dernier, surtout pour l'emplacement mais aussi pcq notre 1er séjour avait été plus ou moins correcte, avec une chambre de bien meilleure qualité... pour le même prix qu'une chambre très très médiocre lors de cette dernière visite. Nous n'avons pas apprécié du tout l'état général de cette chambre, qui était sans doute une chambre (d'enfant) communicante. Pour commencer, le lit était bcp trop inconfortable et vraiment très petit pour 2 personnes. Dans la salle de bain, rien n'allait. Le lavabo vraiment très bouché, la douche très sale (les joints et les recoins noircis ...) avec les murs cassés à plusieurs endroits. J'ai même gardé des photos pour ne plus avoir envie de retourner. Dans le toilette, la chasse d'eau ne chargeait pas l'eau du tout ou des fois, avec un peu de chance, très très lentement. Encore un détail, le micro-ondes dans la chambre manquait de plateau en verre, donc pas possible de l'utiliser. Et pour finir, l'eau de la piscine n'était pas du tout transparente. Ça donne pas envie de se rafraîchir...

As a loyal Gold Member and a paying subscriber of the All Plus Voyageur program, I expected a certain standard of service, but unfortunately, my experience fell shockingly short. Upon arrival late at night, I was greeted by a very rude front desk staff member – an older man with a beard. Although the reception area was empty, I was made to wait more than 25 minutes before being checked in, as the staff member insisted he was “not in check-in mode” at that time. When I requested two room keys, he aggressively questioned me and refused to provide them, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, when I reached my room, the air conditioning was not working. I immediately reported this to reception, but I was told no room changes were possible until the morning. I suffered through a sleepless night in unbearable heat. The following morning, I again requested a room change, but was again told the hotel was full. As a result, I endured a second consecutive night in a room without functioning air conditioning. It was only on the third night, after visiting reception five separate times and waiting nearly an hour, that I was finally moved to another room a completely unacceptable delay. Adding to the frustration, I was never offered any form of compensation for these two extremely uncomfortable nights. Moreover, the hotel’s practice of issuing room keys that expire each morning requiring guests to return to reception daily just to renew them – is highly inconvenient and unprofessional. In summary, my stay was marred by: Rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Being denied a simple request for a second key. Two nights in a room without working air conditioning. Repeated delays and dismissals in resolving my issues. No compensation offered despite a clear service failure. I expect a prompt and serious response to this complaint. At a minimum, I request compensation for the two nights I spent without air conditioning, along with an acknowledgment that the treatment I received as a Gold Member was far below acceptable standards. I sincerely hope you take immediate corrective action with your staff to ensure no other guest endures such an experience.

Novotel Hivernage is in the ideal location close to the main attractions of Marrakesh. The rooms are ok but I was surprised to find there was no iron in the room. To use an iron we had to go to the 4th floor and it didn’t work very well. The choice for breakfast was very limited. All the staff were brilliant and attentive especially Aicha and Heba on reception desk.

Nice location however, hotel quite old, aircon was definitely struggling to give out cold air, food for breakfast buffet was terrible, hallways was smelly, and eerie, shower recess - water was going out the shower door hence floor was very wet, staff were helpful but very poor english, my room was open upon check in even before i had put in key- called receptionist to come and check for any person inside room she said maybe cleaner did not close door well which is a risk if i had the room cleaned and they had left door open. Elevator was noisy and shaky, i cancelled the rest of my stay and found another hotel. Will definitely jot recommend them they need to renovate a lot of things to improve it.

I almost cancelled my hotel booking based on some of the recent poor reviews on Trip advisor Its a good job I didn't... I paid £95 per night for a city-view room but managed to get a free upgrade to a pool-view room (that are normally considerably more expensive). Having stayed at the hotel, it's clear to me that none of the recent bad reviews takes anything away from what is a very good standard, modern, clean hotel. This hotel is head and shoulders above average. Im not saying its luxury, but it is well above an average 3 star hotel. I am wandering if some of the recent "reviewers" paid alot more for the hotel hence their higher expectations.. its possible. I viewed 3 rooms at this hotel and all were of a good standard. Modern, clean, spacious, with a safe, a desk, a microwave, tv, fridge, tea facilities, and a comfy bed. The rooms were perfectly nice and spacious with decent bathrooms. No smells, no mould.. nothing. Just perfectly nice. I took the pool-view room as i was told that the city-view rooms can be a bit noisy. They have small balconies and the view is quite beautiful. The pool area is very nicely done and looks especially peaceful and beautiful in the evenings. This hotel is located in l'hivernage, where all the best nightlife, high-end restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance. The location is second to none in marrakech. In terms of the recent bad reviews... 1. If you dont want things going missing... use the Safe that is provided. 2. I found the staff very friendly and helpful 3. I was told that it can be noisy if you have a city-view room. But this is to be expected if your staying in a busy spot. Use earplugs perhaps? 4. Breakfast. The breakfast area could maybe could do with a fresh upgrade but its pretty good. The food itself is freshly made including omelettes and messemen, with a decent array of other options. I dont see what's to complain about. Its perfectly adequate and of good quality. Could it be bigger and better? yes; but again, its perfectly adequate.

L'hôtel Novotel est situé dans un quartier chic et très animé. Le personnel est très professionnel et serviable. Nous avions pris une chambre triple avec sdb et douche. Le ménage est fait tous les jours afin de préserver un certain standing de propreté. Le petit déjeuner est servi en buffet et la piscine a des dimensions raisonnables. Mohammed à l'accueil a toujours été très réactif suite à nos différentes sollicitations. Un merci particulier à Mohammed. A refaire sans hésiter !

Cons: Sajnos a szobánkban nem ment a légkondi, ami miatt nem tudtunk aludni. A "városra néző kilátás" a közvetlenül szomszédos szállodát jelentette. Csukott ablakkal is elég hangos volt a szoba, a szomszéd szállodában hajnalig tartó zene, állandó dudálás stb.miatt. Maga a szálloda műszakilag lassan haldoklik, a klímák, csaptelepek, kapcsolók, ablakok, bútorok. Régen ráférne egy teljes felújítás. Ezt sajnos a kedves személyzet sem tudta pótolni. Nem tudom hogyan lett 4 csillagos. Lehet, hogy csak nem volt szerencsénk.

I stayed here from July 24th to 31st with my wife and daughter. Our room (325) was excellent and was a decent size, clean and comfortable. The pool area was great and the service from the member of staff dedicated to this area was fantastic, he was very proactive in ensuring towels and beds were available as you arrived at the pool. The pool is a great size for the amount of people using. The location is great and handy for walking to Menara Mall, Medina and to the mini market. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel.

Un hôtel que j’aimais… mais qui s’est beaucoup dégradé J’ai toujours apprécié le Novotel Marrakech lors de mes précédents séjours, mais ma dernière visite il y a quelques jours m’a profondément déçue. L’ambiance générale de l’hôtel a clairement changé : la qualité de service a nettement baissé, et j’ai été surprise par le manque de motivation du personnel, comme si satisfaire les clients n’était plus une priorité. À 22h30, il était impossible de commander un simple verre au bord de la piscine, alors qu’il faisait chaud et que plusieurs clients, comme moi, souhaitaient simplement profiter du cadre agréable en soirée. Pire encore, malgré une réservation confirmée via Booking.com, on m’a annoncé à la réception que l’hôtel était complet. J’ai accepté une chambre destinée aux personnes à mobilité réduite par nécessité, mais ce genre d’erreur montre un vrai souci de gestion et d’organisation. Il est vraiment regrettable qu’un hôtel avec autant de potentiel laisse les choses se détériorer. Un bon directeur d’établissement doit savoir écouter les retours, motiver ses équipes et veiller à la satisfaction de ses clients. Sinon, même les habitués finiront par ne plus revenir. J’espère sincèrement que la direction prendra ces remarques en considération pour redresser la barre.

We booked a room with a double sofa bed, but were given a small room, single sofa with a poorly functioning AC. The room was very hot, and there was no housekeeping available to assist us. The receptionist often didn’t answer our calls, forcing us to go down to the front desk each time. After 6 PM, there was no housekeeping service at all. Additionally, the breakfast area was unhygienic, with food left uncovered and birds sitting on it.

I stayed at Novotel Hivernage from 25th to 29th April 2025, and sadly, the experience did not live up to the expectations one might have of a four-star hotel under the ACCOR brand. The hotel’s location is undoubtedly one of its strengths—convenient, central, and well-placed for exploring Marrakech. Additionally, one of the highlights of each morning was the lovely lady making fresh m’semman at breakfast. She was warm, attentive, and provided a small but memorable moment of hospitality amidst an otherwise underwhelming stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left much to be desired. I had specifically chosen this hotel for its advertised swimming pool and its acceptance of modest swimwear such as the burkini, which is essential for me as a hijabi traveller. Upon arrival, I was informed that the pool was closed—something that had never been mentioned during booking or in any communication beforehand. I was advised to use a pool at a nearby Ibis hotel, nearly a kilometre away, with no transport provided. The towels provided were rough and worn out, bathtubs showed signs of poorly patched holes, and neither the bathroom nor toilet had locks—something you wouldn’t expect in a four-star property. The furnishings throughout the room looked dated and tired, contributing to an overall sense of neglect. To make matters worse, I reached out to hotel management twice via email after my stay to raise these concerns and request appropriate compensation—but to date, I’ve received no response. The complete lack of acknowledgement suggests a worrying indifference to guest feedback and a failure in basic customer service. In summary, while the location is excellent and some staff members, like the breakfast chef, show genuine care, the hotel itself is in dire need of refurbishment, improved communication, and more responsible management. I would advise future guests—especially those with specific cultural or comfort needs—to look elsewhere for a stay that matches the standards this brand claims to uphold.

I really appreciated the service,the pleasant and professional welcome provided by Ms Aicha,the fully dedicated receptionist who was fast at handling our check-in and who was always ready to sort out problems. She is indeed a great value to the establishment. If I ever think of staying at the same hotel,I would do it because of its amazing staff members,from the bell boy Ismail who was such a great help to Narcisse,the most dedicated and helpful restaurant staff member at breakfast time. Cons: Staff were appalling - very rude in particular Aicha on reception. Took a holding deposit of 3500D from my account without permission, then had difficulty getting it returned. No tea/ coffee/ cups or slippers in room and only one towel each- then argued that we already had them- were finally advised that they would be delivered to room- waited 45 minutes to get 2 sachets of coffee and 2 paper cups. Pool and bar were closed and we had not been advised in advance if our stay( and it would have influenced our decision to choose this hotel) Hotel also refused to hold our bags whist we made an overnight trip to the desert- I accept the decision, but was the patronising manner we were spoken to in front of other patrons

This was our first time in Morocco, and we chose Marrakech. We booked in Novotel as it was ideally located, close to all the action, i give 10/10 for location. The service was excellent (10/10) , I would like to commend Aicha, Amine and Ismail including the staff working during breakfast service. We got personalised service and felt very welcome. Aicha , Amine and Ismail went an extra mile to help organise out stay and plan our activities, made the stay memorable and were always there to help us if needed. I have travelled a lot for business and pleasure and have to add that , the service received by these incredible individuals were above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel, despite the fact that it most definitely needs to be renovated as its old and one can see patch up work in the rooms. Thank you Aicha, Amine and Ismail for making our trip memorable for your hospitality and warm welcome.

Dans notre chambre, nous avons trouvé 2 petites bouteilles d'eau chaque jour, ce qui était très agréable. L'emplacement de cet hôtel est magnifique. Le personnel du restaurant (pour le petit-déjeuner) était toujours très serviable et à l'écoute. On a bcp apprécié.

Cons: Nous n'avions quasiment aucune lumière dans les toilettes, malheureusement. Aussi, un peu plus de lumière dans la salle de bain serait-elle la bienvenue, que ce soit pour pouvoir se maquiller correctementqd on a plus 20 ans, mettre ses lentilles ou autres ...

We had a lot of anxiety prior to arrival as despite being a pay up front rate, money was not taken from bank so we had no guarantee of having a room before arrival. We sent multiple e mails to try to ensure booking was in place and got no response, we phoned the hotel several times and when I explained I couldn’t speak French or Arabic they hung up on me. It was important for us as we were travelling with our child to be sure we had somewhere to sleep after flying into the country! Accor UK also attempted to get responses but to no avail. Room was adequate but signs of water damage to bathroom door into bedroom. Only one small cup provided with tea and coffee facilities so we had to take it in turns, we did get some from the staff in the restaurant but these were removed. The cleaning staff were good, room was always fresh and clean on our return and restaurant/bar staff good and helpful. Breakfast- ok but didn’t like to see birds flying in and helping themselves to the food on display. It wasn’t worth getting up for so I only experience it once as preferred the extra time in bed.Bed was really comfy! Room got quite hot in the afternoon but no air con in Feb. Reception was lacking, on arrival our payment was finally taken but we had zero information about the hotel, not told where or when breakfast was. Never a smile or welcome when waiting on the lifts in front of the desk. 2 staff continued to talk and chat whilst I waited to ask a question and no other guests waiting, which is fine but I feel it is always nice when at a reception to at least say ‘I will be with you shortly’ or aknowledge you at least. No information in the room about facilities. It could be a great hotel, location was good, and they have some good staff but others are letting it down. There was no warm, welcoming feel about the place apart from cleaning staff and bar/restaurant staff. Also a lovely big balcony which had good sun in the afternoon but zero furniture to sit out on.

Cons: this is an extremely dated hotel, the room smelled dank and mouldy and the facilities are gloomy and dark inside, the lights are so dim you barely can see - it feels really run down and not worth what you pay, the king bed had 2 small pillows only. at 10:05 someone walked into my room while I was dressing without knocking to demand that I checkout immediately.

We booked a room for three people, but the hotel gave us a room for two. All three of us had to share a 160cm double bed because the 120cm sofa was not a sofa bed. The hotel insisted that all guests sleep on this type of sofa and that all rooms have the same setup—this was clearly false. We had to complain multiple times before they finally moved us to a room with a proper setup (a double bed + sofa bed) on the second night—the room we had originally booked and paid for. What was most disappointing: The hotel lied about the room setup, insisting all rooms were the same. The hotel never admitted their mistake or apologized. Instead, they acted like they were doing us a favor by giving us the room we had actually paid for. This issue ruined the first two days of our trip. Beyond this, the hotel itself is not a 4-star experience: Pool area: Okay, but not well-maintained and somewhat dirty. Breakfast: Decent selection, but understaffed—cutlery and food often ran out. Birds were eating directly from the bread several times. Location: One of the few positives—great, only a 15-minute walk to the old city or 10 minutes to a modern mall. Final Verdict Even without our room issue, this hotel does not feel like a 4-star. It might have been years ago, but poor maintenance and service have brought it down to a 3-star level. You're paying for 4-star quality but receiving much less. I do not recommend this hotel.

The breakfast had a lot of varieties, however quality was not what could be expected from a hotel with this class. The best thing about the hotel is the location with walking distance to Jemma El-Fnaa (market) and Menara Mall with nice restaurants.

the only thing i liked was the location

Cons: The hotel was sold as having aircon and it didn't. When I questioned this they couldn't care less. The woman on reception was so rude and miserable. The beds were like sleeping on a floor they were so hard. I had to change rooms after 1 night to a lower floor to try and find a cooler room but I still couldn't sleep. The hairdryer was broken, trying to ring reception was a joke I tried to ring about 30 times but they just picked up the phone and put it down without answering. I waited over an hour for a replacement hairdryer by which time it was too late and i had to leave the hotel with wet hair to go to a meeting. Here is a list of things that they say they have on offer at the property but don't: aircon, barber/beauty shop, soundproofed rooms, no designated smoking area ( men sat at the table next to me in the restaurant and smoked heavily whilst i was eating), no massage or beauty services, no satellite TV with English channels no pay per view tv. The toiletries they offer are just shampoo and a mini block of soap. The shower door was missing the strip on the edge and water poured through the door so every time you showered the floor was like a swimming pool. The extractor in the toilet didn't work and was filthy. The room was above the kitchen and obviously on the same duct as all the kitchen smells came via the extractor into the room. The hotel seemed to pride itself on its list of Aperol cocktails but every day I asked for one they said they didn't have any Aperol. The tables at breakfast were always dirty and left uncleared, the young female staff just stood around, not clearing and wiping tables or replenishing things when they had run out. I was constantly asking for cutlery and plates. There was some spilt makeup on my sink when I arrived and it was still there the day I left which showed a lack of cleaning. The carpets in the hallways were either threadbare or had paint over them.

L’établissement est en lui-même très bien situé et propre dans sa globalité. Cependant sa situation géographique suscite malheureusement des nuisances nocturnes extérieures. Le personnel de l’hôtel au top sauf quelques uns qui ne sont pas à cheval sur le service restauration autour de la piscine. Le petit déjeuner est varié et excellent !!

The breakfast room with staff but no one prepare the service for the table you have to look arround for forks knifes and napkins. The staff re arrange the bread and pastry using there hands although the were utensils for the same. Cups for coffe machine in little supply and some cups and plates are chepped. When you ask the waiters about some thing they tell you it's there rather than serve you. Over all the hotel below the novotel standard and it's clear that the hotel management is poor.
