Terrazza e silenzio in camera

Grazie mille

The location is very good at less then 10mn walk to the main square in the middle of the Medina and souks. Room very nicely decorated with lovely style. Very nice and cozy roof top terrasses. Very good breakfast with varied items including tea/coffee, pancakes, bread, jam, honey, orange juice, yoghurt with fresh fruit, ham, cheese. Staff is extremely nice, polite and helpful.
Cons: No tourist information leaflets in the room. It would also be nice to have the pricelist for the services offered like hammam, massages etc. in the room as well as prices for food and drinks.

The Riad is beautiful, great location though tricky to find and get to when you don't know where it is. The staff are all amazing and so so helpful and friendly, Karim and Abdul are wonderful and couldn't have done more to ensure we had a great stay.
Cons: Just finding the Riad for the first time - very tricky - wouldn't want to stay here alone as a female and walk back and forth solo of an evening. Otherwise it was perfect.

It was a beautiful gem in the Medina. Loved that it was connected to another incredible riad. Breakfast in a gorgeous setting. Staff was extremely friendly and made stay special.
Cons: Location was surprising at first! I was worried about getting lost and to get back at night. The staff was there 24/7 to help getting places or getting back at anytime. It’s 5 mins from jamaa el fna.

This is a fantastic Riad. Quaint and comfortable room with wonderful service and breakfasts. It is hard to find and maps will struggle to help you. We found it very noisy at night with voices from the ground floor echoing through the building. Hard to sleep with this at 11pm both nights.

We had the chance to stay at Riad Lorsya twice - at the start and at the end of the trip. The staff was prompt while responding to messages about airport/rail transfers. The Riad was close to the main square and we liked walking along the alleyways exploring the Medina. We stayed in two different rooms for our two different stays and they were good. The breakfast was excellent and they were able to arrange breakfast a bit earlier on days we had to be out of the door early. The bathrooms were good and we had hot water. Of course, none of these riads wouldn't be the same as a regular hotel since they are traditional Moroccan stays. Having said that, we enjoyed staying at Riad Lorsya in the heart of the Marrakech Medina.

Having stayed in four different riads in Morocco, we had a good sense of what to expect. Unfortunately, our experience at Riad Lorsya fell short in several ways. Upon arrival, we were given a room with no hot water for the shower. To their credit, the staff acted quickly and moved us to Riad Zaya, a neighboring riad under the same management. This initially seemed like an upgrade, as the room at Riad Zaya was nicer. However, by the third day, the hot water was gone again. Taking a cold shower in March—when nighttime temperatures drop into the 50s (Fahrenheit)—was far from pleasant. It quickly became clear that this riad lacks an engaged owner, unlike the other riads we stayed in. No one greeted us, explained the keys, doors, or even provided basic guidance on the location and nearby attractions. It felt like a place without a caring host. Other details reinforced this impression. The tablecloth in the dining area had the same stains for three days (and likely longer). Breakfast service was also frustrating, as English wasn’t understood, making communication difficult. Additionally, most riads offer complimentary airport pickups for guests staying three or more nights, particularly given how hidden and difficult to find some locations can be. This was not the case here. One of the most disappointing aspects was the walkway leading to the riad. It was filthy, and there seemed to be no effort to keep the area clean. To make matters worse, leftover food was thrown directly onto the walkway to feed the local cats—why not at least place it on a small dish rather than scattering it in the middle of the path? Overall, I was very disappointed with both Riad Lorsya and Riad Zaya. With better management and attention to detail, these riads could offer a much better experience, but as they stand now, I wouldn’t recommend them.

The Ryad was delightful, especially the staff, they were so welcoming especially Karim who was extremely helpful with any questions I had, Meena who always asked if I needed anything, finally the wonderful cook who always had a smile on her face, and served up delicious food, especially breakfast. The room was always neat clean and tidy, after coming back from a morning trip, to even after having an afternoon siesta and returning in the night time, the room again had the bed made and clothes folded. Overall a wonderful stay.
Cons: The only little thing I would say, is that navigating your way back to the ryad is a little difficult if you don’t have a good sense of direction, which I don’t😏

This is our second visit to Riad Lorsya and again it was great, location is fabulous, short walk to the Main square through the Souks, and close to Le Jardin Secret which we really liked. The Riad is beautiful, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful roof terrace also.
Cons: We stayed in Eau de Rose room this time, the only thing I would say is if you have any mobility issues you may find the bed hard to get out of as it is sunken.

The Riad is a great place. If you get there. That's a big "if". It's a stunning building, great facilities. But there are serious issues.
Cons: In the Medina there are serious issues. Immediate regulation by police required. Locals cordon off streets (witn official looking fences etc) but then "help" you home. Literally like a bad movie. The street scum will ruin this place, and nobody seems bothered. Simple solutions. More lighting, licensed guides, wifi (as there is none and nobody can afford wifi at 7gbp per mb!!) it places people at risk.

Luis & Svenja

Location was perfect, next to the music museum and 10 min walk to the main square. Breakfast was good - flatbreads, fruit, amazing olives and bread. The staff were lovely, Mustapha especially. Felt like family after a week. We’d often bump into them in the souks when they were off shift and were always greeted and offered help. Organised a private tour to Ourika valley which was lovely but more information about the tour would’ve been helpful. They made my sister an omelette in the morning for us to take with us for lunch due to dietary requirements! Terrace is beautiful with lovely plants and nice sunset views.
Cons: We asked for one room to be twin room which was confirmed at time of booking but was a double bed when we got there. We didn’t bother making them aware of this as wasn’t a huge deal. Have to let the riad know if lunch/dinner is required in the morning. A few afternoons we asked for afternoon snacks from the menu but no one was available to make the food.

Lorsya is a beautiful riad just minutes away from the bustling souks but completely quiet, calm and peaceful. Our room was gorgeous and huge, with a mezzanine bedroom up a wooden staircase. The room was fairly dimly lit but that’s part of the vibe! The dinner when we arrived was delicious - beautifully spiced courgettes and aubergine starters and a wonderful tagine. The freshly squeezed orange juice, pancakes, made-to-order omelettes and honey at breakfast - which we ate up on the gorgeous roof terrace - were memorable. The people working there couldn’t do enough for us and were the loveliest people. Incredible value for such a beautiful and authentic place.

We had a nice stay at this riad for our first riad experience. Upon arrival staff were happy to greet and discuss our plans. Quickly shown to the room. Room was as depicted on the website. A little rough on the edges in terms of not everything is perfect. A few broken tiles that sort of thing. It is what it is and I think priced accordingly. Access to the main Marrakech areas are all within walking distance. We would stay here again .

The hotel is incredibly difficult to find, even for an experienced traveler, as it's in the warrens of the medina. Staff had difficulty obtaining a functional key for our room. The A/C in the room was inadequate for the size of the space. Check out was unclear - we ended up just sliding the key under the office door. Room was decorated nicely. Staff did assist us in removing an unwanted "guide" that was harassing us.

From the moment we arrived at Riad Lorsya, through the hectic main square and alleyways, there was a sense of calm. We were offered mint tea, and sat there enjoying the soft music before we even checked in. The room itself (Sultana) was clean, comfortable, well equipped but above all felt opulent and special. The staff were constantly smiling and helpful.... Yassine, Khamissa (who provided us with the most delicious cake), Hind, Karim, Amina, and Saladin.

Beautiful riad with gorgeous rooftop terrace to have some wine and relax. Staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. It was tricky to find this riad in the maze of the medina, but worth the search!

This riad is beautiful inside and well protected from the noises outside. Our room was incredible, with our bed on a mezzanine level and a seating area downstairs. We arrived very late at night but were greeted with a smile and a tour of the property. Staff were very helpful and kept breakfast out for us until gone 11am which wasn't expected. Will stay here again next time we visit.
Cons: We left too early for breakfast on our last day and the stairs to our bedroom were slippery. My partner slipped on them and damaged his elbow quite badly. They should really have some antislip paint or coating on them as they are so narrow and steep, rather than the polished wood finish (beautiful as it looks!)

Right in the heart of the medina but hidden away so quiet and relaxed. Yassine and the team were all very friendly and helpful and great with the comms. The riad was really beautiful. Big rooms. very authentic. shower was amazing. The small pools were a bit odd in the dining room but looked good. Dinner was very tasty. breakfast was basic but good. the rooftop terrace was a really nice space to unwind after the pandemonium of the souks.
Cons: Practically impossible to find the first time on arrival... someone will spot you with your bags and be your guide (whether you like it or not) and will expect payment... and will ask for more than you want to give.... stay strong! the two routes to and from the souk are easy enough to find after a couple of tries! It was dark in the room - I guess authentic lighting - which was nice... but made it hard to catch the mosquitos... dinner was relatively expensive (though nice).

Very welcoming staff, nice accommodations, great rooftop terrace. We so appreciated the help in setting up a Hamman, and finding it. This Riad is a bit of a challenge to navigate the narrow pathways, but after a few times I had it down. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable.

Bandar was a most excellent host and caring kind person. Ben.......your lucky to have him........pay him more!
Cons: You changed my reservation to a different location with less ammenities and charged me the same price! I will never return to Marrakech. The riad was near impossible to find and horrible to transport luggage to and from. I destroyed 2 of the 4 wheels on my spinner travel case leaving the riad and had to purchase a new piece of luggage for the rest of my trip.

This is an absolutely delightful, traditional riad with really fantastic staff. Nothing is too much trouble. It is the heart of the old town and a few moments from streets filled with local markets. The location is also very convenient for a large number of the attractions of the city. Breakfast is plentiful and a variety of fare on offer. Pancakes to die for and freshly squeezed orange. The riad offers a three course dinner of traditional Moroccan home cooking which is very tasty and it is reasonable value. The bed was comfortable, the linen crisp and clean. The shower was large, powerful and hot. The suite included a lounge with traditional seating and table. Internet connection generally good but it did have a few moments. There's a great roof terrace where you can take in the sun and the views over the roof tops. The staff will also bring your meals up so you can sit eating in the open. The Riad is flexible in taking payment, you can use up your dirhams or pay by card or indeed a mixture.
Cons: It seems churlish to say anything negative but here are some useful things to know. The staff will organise a taxis from the airport at reasonable cost but very importantly at the medina you are met by a local porter who takes your luggage in a barrow and guides you to the Riad. Without this initial guidance it is hard to find, nestled in the heart of a maze of back alleys. The staff will also physically show you the quickest way out the following morning! In the suite the loo is open plan which may not suit everyone. Lastly whilst the souks are a must the best shopping is in the government fixed price galleries where there is absolutely no pressure and huge stocks.

This has got to be the best riad/hotel we have stayed in during our whole month in Morocco. The staff are unbelievable, so friendly, happy, professional and attentive. What really made our stay was the staff were all so happy. When we arrived by car Yassine met our car and then we followed him on his scooter to the private car park for our 3 day stay. Once we parked we were met by a lovely man with a trolley to carry our cases to Riad Lorsya. On arrival we were greeted with some drinks and after the checking in process which Yassine completed on our behalf he explained many of the things/places to see (and some not worth going to) on the map he provided. We were then shown our fabulous room and the wonderful terraces (yes there are two) where we could relax after our drive from Safi. We decided in the evening to have a meal at the riad and what a good choice, the food was SO TASTY - it was the best meal of all our different stays and restaurants in Morocco. In fact after our next night eating in Jemma-el-Fnna square (very hectic but interesting) we decided to have another meal at Riad Lorsya - this was equally delicious. Everywhere at the riad is spotless and the staff are forever going around cleaning, polishing and tidying up. The breakfast is excellent and give guests a really good start to their day. If during your stay you need anything booked or visit anywhere in Marrakesh they will organise it and if it is local to the riad they will escort you as in any medina the little streets are very easy to get lost. Taking of getting lost if you arrive in Marrakesh and go down the side streets to this riad which can be worrying to the uninitiated do not worry about what your accommodation is going to be like because once you are here it is like an oasis in the centre of the hustle and bustle of the medina and Marrakesh in general. It is large, quite and very restful.
Cons: Absolutely nothing, apart from having to leave.

Marrakech is amazing, stunning and joyful made all the better by Yassim and Karim who could not do enough for you. The ladies who also work here greet you with a smile and provide you with the freshest of food which you will thoroughly enjoy. Riad Lorsya is the most friendliest place we have stayed. We would well recommend to stay here. Yassim will book all your trips and you know you are getting the best deal. We did Atlas mountains, the desert on the camels and sand buggys all through Yassim and we got the best of care. We loved Riad Lorsya so much we were sad to leave these beautiful caring people. For sure without a doubt we will return if only to sit around their big table to chat and laugh and enjoy each others company once again. Well done Yassim, Karim and ladies. Your are amazing xx

Charming riad located in the heart of the souk, yet very quiet and comfortable. The personnel of the hotel is very kind and helpful. We very much appreciated the historic charm of the riad and the rooms which made us live an exquisite and authentic experience! The location made it easy for us to purchase items at the souk or visit some of the local points of interest such as the Photography museum (recommended) and the Majorelle gardens. Tip: go to the riad's rooftop terrace to bask in the sun and enjoy the view.

We enjoyed our first stay just two years ago and were so happy with everything that we booked our recent visit without considering anywhere else. Just five or six minutes walk from either Bab Ksour or Jamaa el Fnaa, very well placed and close to a wide selection of restaurants. Access to the souk is only a couple of minutes away. Rooms are really colourful and typical Moroccan and such a nice change from a sterile modern hotel! An evening meal is available (with notice) and we have availed of it on two occasions. Excellent quality tagine and equal to any we had in Morocco. The staff are pleased to help with anything from booking restaurants to tours which we found to be good value. If we do have the opportunity to return some time we will clock up a third stay.

The riad is very well located, a five minute walk to Jemaa elFnaa, and the entire team is lovely! Zachariah especially made my stay warm and welcoming- he was always a high point to look forward to! This is not a “luxury” property by western standards, but I’m not a luxury type of person either so it was perfect! The staff is kind and flexible, will give you all the local info and recommendations you need, and even offered to come pick me up if I got lost! (Thankfully that wasn’t necessary!) They coordinate airport transfers very well, thoughtfully providing an assistant and a cart to bring your luggage from the airport van over the cobbled alleys to the riad. Don’t attempt to find it yourself the first time- the maze of alleyways definitely requires a guide at first. The food was consistently delicious and “local,” and they will arrange dinners and local excursions as well. Very much appreciated for my first time in Morocco. I sincerely hope my travels bring me back to Riad Lorsya and when they do, I’ll return! Thank you all, Holly

This riad is in a great location for exploring the medina. What really made our stay here standout was the staff. They were always so helpful and we were thankful to have their help booking seats on a bus to another city and hammam reservations at a nice place. Additionally, we loved that we could always get a pot of mint tea to relax after a day of the crazy medina. The riad was so quiet and peaceful and breakfast was always lovely (and big!).

This Riad is lovely. Our room was beautiful inside. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate. We were greeted with mint tea when we arrived. I would seriously recommend that you ring the Riad and organise a pick up from where ever you are coming from (airport etc) as it is nearly impossible to find the Riad on your own. There is no taxi access and it is in the middle of the souks. This is a perfect location but tricky to find at first. We would stay again.

Searching for a Riad in medina? Look no further. I looked for hours trying to compare, Riad Lorysa was perfect. We have spent two weeks in Morocco, including a different Riad in Marrakech, but the service here was outstanding. Staff was great, he knew English, and was over the top friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, pool was clean, terrace was good with a shower and the location was safe and central. If you looking for a Riad Lorsya should be your choice. Did I mention that the room was in lovely Moroccan style?

Our stay at Riad Lorsya was very good . It is only 2 minute walk into souks and markets . 5 minutes from FNA square . The hotel staff helped and booked a trip for us to the Atlas Mountains , 50euros which was a great day out and worth the money . There is no kettle in the room but the staff will make you a cuppa on request . The room was very good but there is no door on the toilet and would be better with even a curtain hanging there. the breakfast was a piece of fruit some bread , pancakes , jams and a cuppa . Listen to what the manager tells you as it's easy to get lost. He will tell you how to get back to the Riad and it works . Good authentic Riad and was worth the money .

This hotel appears to be a Typical small Moroccan Hotel and is beautiful with the most helpful staff who were available around the clock to assist in anyway. Our bedroom was very stylish with en suite facilities and was spotlessly clean. It has a roof terrace which is great for relaxing or seeing sights24 hours a day. Though the location is perfect it can be slightly confusing to find the hotel on fist arrival but once found it is the place to stay right in the middle of a quiet spot though very close to all the sights and action.

Super confusing finding the place. Down many winding medina pathways. Dont try to find it at night, seriously. No signs or markings and GPS location doesn't work in these small foot paths. The Riad was very nice with roof top balcony and is definitely in the medina, which is a bustling market with labyrinth style streets... However there can be some issues with location. Wifi not good in rooms.

A stunning Riad close to Djemma El Fna and the souk, but nestled in a quiet dead end maze (don't try to find it yourself; but if you're Avebury's, follow the black Equity Point Hostel plaques; once you've reached that hostel, turn right, follow to the end, turn right again, and the Riad will be on your left). The staff is super friendly, they helped us with everything we needed during our 3 night stay, including booking the long trip back to Casa airport. The day manager Abdou will welcome you with tea and an overview of sights to see. His English is excellent. Would definitely stay there again

This hotel was beautiful, with spectacular service and great convenience to the big square in the center of Marrakech. The people there were so nice and took care of our every need, including walking us into town and cooking breakfast every morning. Overall, a great stay! The only caveat is that the small alleyway where it is located can be very intimidating to the Marrakech newcomer. It was our first time there, and our girlfriend and I were completely caught off guard when our cab from the airport pulled to the side of the road to hand our luggage off to some random guy with a rickshaw. He pulled our bags through dark, winding passageways and barely spoke English so we had no idea where we were going. Everything worked out ok, but it was very unnerving, so be aware of what you are getting into, especially if you arrive after dark.

We loved our holiday in Marrakech! The riad staff was very friendly and helpful, arranging massages and trips for us. If it's your first time in Marrakech, don't be uncomfortable walking through the souks and alleys to get to the riad. It's in a safe area and the locals were all super nice. You might get a couple kids trying to help you get to your riad for a small tip at the end, but once you learn the way it's obvious and no one will hassle you. I wish we had the time to go back! Enjoy for us! :)

Lovely Riad right in the centre of the Medina. The rooms are beautiful and there's a roof terrace and even a small swimming pool for hot days. Plus points: Lovely bedrooms, Very helpful, friendly staff, very quiet after the hustle and bustle of outside, tasty breakfast every morning. As many tea, coffee and drinks as you want. Minus points: Hard to find - although local kids will happily direct you for a tip. (Book a taxi pickup before you go). Not much privacy the bedrooms aren't very soundproofed. Payment is cash only (although easy to get from cashpoints). Overall: Highly recommended.
