The comunication with Asad was very good. He gave us all of the information we needed and organised our transfer from/to the airport without any problems . And let's talk about Abdul - he is the nicest and good person you can meet. He was there for us all the time so we can feel like home. The Riad is very beautiful and it definitely brings you back to another time. The location is perfect! The breakfast is simple but truly enough! Thank you guys for everything! We will come back for sure!

Cons: Tha lack of natural light, but it is not such of problem - that's the charm of the riad itself!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Traditional stay with amazing staff. Property is really good value for money, calming atmosphere and in a perfect location to explore Marrakech. I travelled alone and Abdul could not have done any more to make my stay comfortable, and find my way around some of those winding streets in the dark! I’m sure I’ll be back!

I had an amazing stay at Riad Al Mamoune! The team was incredibly warm and helpful from the moment I booked my stay. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Medina, and I always felt super safe, even as a solo traveler. A special thank you to Asad and his team, who were always ready to help with anything I needed. They truly go above and beyond for their guests, whether it`s offering local tips, arranging transportation or simply making sure you feel at home. I would highly recommend Riad al Mamoune to anyone visiting Marrakesh. It`s a beautiful place with exceptional hospitality, and I cannot wait to return!

Traditional historic building with lots of character. Good location next to the spice square which has some lovely cafes, and the main square was just a short walk through the markets. I’d recommend booking the transport meet and greet service with the Riad. The taxi takes you from the airport to the edge of the Medina walls. We were met by the amazing Abdul who walked us straight to the Riad and carried our bags! This was a great way to get our bearings as Abdul pointed out different landmarks to make it easy to find our own way back to the Riad through the busy markets and maze of streets. All the staff were extremely friendly. Whatever you need Abdul will assist, he really cares about your well-being and goes above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one, along with the extremely friendly owner Asad, who walked us to a local Hammam spa one day, which was was a great experience. On our last day our flight was delayed but Asad could not have been more helpful, making us feel welcome to stay rather than rushed to leave and rearranging our transport time. The breakfast was very good with flexible times to suit your day, which was great if you had an early excursion booked or wanted a sleep in from a night out at the many rooftop bars. The omelettes and coffee being some of our many favourites. This was overall a really unique experience that made you feel like you had embraced the culture of Marrakesh. On our last day Abdul again walked us straight back to the square to meet our taxi. I will be amazed if we ever experience service like this again elsewhere

What a beautiful Riad…would highly recommended staying here! Spotlessly clean and the decor is so well thought out! Tea and cake on arrival was so thoughtful! Was definitely a cool place to come back to to get out of the 43 degree heat! Abdul made the stay for me!! My little chats with him I will never forget! I was a solo traveller and I could not have felt safer. Yes you have to walk to the souks to get here, but if you want to stay in a traditional Riad you are going to have to do this with most of them! Would definitely stay here again and thank you to Abdul and all the staff for their kind hospitality!

The room was immaculately clean, the shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. The Riad is beautiful, cozy, and centrally located for easy access to the souks and Jemaa el-Fna square. But without a doubt, the best part is the hospitality — all the help, information, and warm treatment provided to the guests. Asad, whom we saw less often, was great too. But Abdul truly stands out: a top man, excellent in every way — fun, charming, and always attentive, constantly making sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you so much for such a special stay.

Our stay at Riad Al.Mamoune was great. Asad was very communicative and responded quickly to questions and came to meet us when we arrived so we could find our way through the souk. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Asad suggested a couple of activities for us including a day trip to the Ourika Valley and a hammam which were good and because we had an early departure, made sure we had some breakfast before leaving. Overall we had a lovely time and staying at the riad was a great experience

The property is delightfully charming and authentic. The owner Assad is genuine, caring and very informative. He and his staff Abdoul couldn’t be better hosts. The lovely lady who makes breakfast is a wonderful cook and ensures you have something different to try every morning. I rate a 20 and above.

Cons: There is nothing I disliked.

We liked the blue ‘egg shower’ but hard for tall person. Abdul was a great host.

Cons: We spent over one hour trying to find. Breakfast could be eggs or fruit and less cake perhaps? Maybe warn people they would be sleeping downstairs next to the kitchen and hearing the noises?

As first time visitors to Marrakesh we are so glad that we chose Riad Al Mamoune. We asked the Riad to arrange transfer for us from the Airport, and again so glad we did. We were met by our driver at the Airport and then escorted all the way to the Riad, (which can be hard to find until you get your bearings)a proper guided tour! The Riad is beautiful. The accomodation great. Location is fantastic. But most importantly the hospitality and kindness of all the staff could not be more. So accomodating and always there to help and answer any questions. I cannot recommend the Riad enough. We felt that we had experienced Marrakesh culture and living at it's best.

The Riad was nice, room was comfortable and the location was good. What really makes this place stand out for me was the hospitality of the hosts. From accommodating an early morning breakfast before a tour, taking the time to talk you through the key sites of the area in great English, to actually going out of the way to show you around the Medina - this really was first class service. A late checkout was also accommodated on my last day which I was really grateful for.

Cons: This is a small Riad but there could have been more choice for breakfast

The location of the Riad was absolutely perfect, literally in the heart of Marrakech yet incredibly calm and peaceful—a true oasis amidst the bustling city. The staff were outstanding! Asad was exceptionally helpful, arranging our taxi transfers, sharing valuable tips, and even organizing our unforgettable hot air balloon excursion. A special thank you to Abdul for his kindness and warm hospitality, which made our stay even more memorable. The rooms were comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, and the typical Moroccan breakfast included was absolutely delicious. We felt very safe and welcomed throughout our stay. This Riad truly exceeded our expectations, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. We will always remember our time here!

I had an unforgettable stay at the Riaf al Mamoune. Two main reasons: the Riad is located in one of the best areas just around the corner to the spice market and the two hotspots „Cafe Nomad“ and „cafe espices“. Its lies directly between the different souks and you’re close to spots like the Medrasa, the House of Photography or the main market Jemaa el Fna. The second reason is the amazing staff at the Riad. They are incredibly friendly and help you with everything.

We were met by Abdul at the taxi drop off and from that moment on we were completely looked after by Abdul and Asad the owner of the Riad. They could not do enough for us from giving advice about how to haggle; to booking a hot air balloon experience, recommending amazing restaurants, booking coach travel ...oh my the list could go on and on. The Riad was beautiful, traditional and comfortable. it felt like we were staying in a museum. The location was superb, tucked away from the hubbub of the medina but only a couple of minutes away. Each morning we were greeted by Abdul who graciously served us our delicious breakfast and we spoke about many things from Moroccan history to Bob Marley! Al Mamoune is seriously one of the best places we have stayed in for the quality of service and their genuine care of guests. We cannot wait to return to Al Mamoune in 2025. My husband and I felt very privileged to be a part of this wonderful experience . Thank you so much Asad and Abdul.

Asad and Abdul were amazing hosts and made sure that our long weekend break was really memorable. We were collected from the airport and dropped directly into the medina where Asad met us from the taxi. He then took us to his beautiful riad, gave us loads of useful tips and information and ideas on where we could visit. His local knowledge was invaluable and helped our all female party feel safe and confident to go and explore the vibrant city of Marrakech. Asad went above and beyond to ensure our stay and experience of Marrakech was the best it could possibly be. His right hand man Abdul was also an incredible host with both giving us tips on how to make the best of the 72 hours we had in the beautiful city. The breakfast was delicious and served on the beautiful roof terrace. The 16th century property transported you back in time but with modern comforts. We cannot wait to return and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Cons: Absolutely nothing. We couldn't find any faults with our stay - we all felt we had two new friends for life in Asad and Abdul.

I loved how welcoming they were and very attentive. I felt at home straight away. So friendly and my stay there made the holiday! The Riad was stunning and had a lovely terrace at the top, perfect for breakfast. The decor is typical Moroccan and cosy. It was easy to find, although I typically got lost wondering the souks. Eventually finding the Riad with a smile, realising my mistake. ( Secretly loving getting lost). I'm definitely going back there, and will be recommending it to anyone who's visiting Marrakech. I just want to thank them for everything they did to accommodate me. They took care of my transfers from and to the airport, and printed out my boarding pass. They also made sure I had earlier breakfasts when was leaving for excursions. Couldn't thank them more. Abdul was so caring and professional. He made bracelets for guests to take home, and was so entertaining. Felt like family and was sad to say goodbye. Will be surely missed! Asad was so informative and easy going. He made my departure day less stressful, as I always am stressed with airports 😞. He is a true professional and reliable. Thanks Riad Al Mamoune. I will be returning one day for sure 😊

Cons: That I hadn't booked 2 weeks instead of 1. Nothing to mention basically. Everything you could ask for.

Lovely experience with the owner and staff, made me feel very welcome, tasty breakfast, varied food, prepared with attention. Location is also handy if you stay a short while, as you are right in the middle of the shopping area, walking distance to museums etc. The driver from the airport and pick up from the square was definitely worth having as a first time visitor.

Cons: In terms of comfort, it is an old building, thus the sound insulation is very poor between the rooms and the common areas. The windows face the inner "garden" and are opposite of other rooms, so if someone leaves the light on in the hallway it shines straight through to your room and it is very bright at night. No curtains available. The city noise you don't hear though which was great. I had a single room which was quite dark during the day, not sure if doubles have bigger windows and are brighter. That being said, if you spend all day out and about in Marrakesh, it is definitely a lovely place to stay. If you want to chill in your room, sleep in, relax, this might not be an ideal situation.

Having never stayed in a Riad, I had no idea what to expect. Abdel graciously met us in the Square and helped with our luggage and steered us through a maze of Souks to the Riad. From the moment we stepped through the small door at the entrance I felt like I was in a fairy tale oasis! Asad greeted us with tea and sat us down with a map to orient us. He directed us to some of his recommended souks, made fabulous dinner reservations and more! He was the quintessential host. The Riad, a 16th century and home with all the modern amenities. Location is excellent. I am the No.1 person in this world who is terrible, useless with directions - but yet I still managed to find the Riad easily since it's located in the heart of the Medina (old town). owner and staff are very very friendly, professional and helpful. In this Riad they really do look after customers like a family. we enjoyed Marrakesh so much partly also because we got the help we needed from this Riad. Asad has given us all the useful tips and directions/instruction about this very special city.

Cons: The rooms are a little dark. But the Riad is 16th Century old, the ceiling is high so that may be the reason why. plus I'm the kind of person who always prefers bright light so it may be just a personal thing

Highly recommend, although only a few minutes walk from the spice market, the main square and the myriad of the souks, the Riad is quiet and tranquil. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for the brilliantly knowledgable Abdul, we loved our chats and all of the insights he shared with us. Asad (the owner) made us feel immediately at home in this very traditional Riad, with suggestions of places to eat and to explore. Both Asad and Abdel were available on WhatsApp throughout our stay should we have needed them. If you are looking for a real Riad experience, where you feel part of the family, traditional Moroccan breakfasts from the ladies at the Riad who ensured we were well fed and kept everywhere clean and tidy, to the sights and smells in the markets with a calm home to come back to then this is for you. Thank you Al Mamoune team for an amazing experience. Craig and Manda

The experience already started before the trip as Asad sent detailed information on how to get to the Riad (google map link with route). Otherwise I wouldn’t have found it. Very warm welcome on the day of arrival with lots of recommendations and do’s and don’ts in Marrakech. Some hard facts: Lovely Riad, all clean and well maintained. Nice rooftop terrace. Abdul always being present in case I needed anything. Pure hospitality! Highly recommended and would definitely come back.

Rarely have we ever stayed in such a hospitable place with 39 countries on our belt. Asad the owner and Abdul the COO have welcomed us with open arms. We got guided through the city on arrival, received all the information beforehand with quick answers to our questions, an explanation of what to to in the city, options for all the activities we already wanted to check out (henna, sim card, tours), three delicious breakfasts with slight differences to try some local specialities, a beautiful riad and storage for our bags during the desert tour. The wifi perfect. The localisation of the riad is out of the hussle and nicely “hidden”, close to everything so a real haven of peace after the crazy streets of Marrakesh. There is a nice rooftop terrasse and a small pool which we didn’t use. We got warned of some future scams that might come during the tour (and did) and helped us with it (Abdul even got us some mandatory desert scarfs for a price 4 times lower than what we would be expected to pay on site). The team really came to clienst in full and complete transparency which was very refreshing, especially considering a lot of people see tourists as walking wallets and only care about the money we have. Thank you to the staff of Riad Al Mamoune for having us and as future clients, don’t even think twice if you consider this oasis of peace!

Cons: The only thing we could mention which isn’t directly related to the riad (and we even got heads up for part of it), is the desert tour. In the context of full transparency we just want to prepare future visitors for their visit. We were very glad to book a desert tour with the riad as it simplified greatly our stay. We chose the 3 nights 2 days Merzouga tour which is organised by a separate tour operator (we never really knew the name). All the tours sold in town group and they dispatch people. The dunes of Merzouga are amazingly beautiful and give a real feeling of how the desert would be. They are a must-see and might even be worth the organisation that brings you there. The problem came mostly from the fact there are so many tourists that you are treated as cattle. Some bullet points: - Drive is a bit twisty in the mountain part but safe - Too many toilet breaks. - Guides will jump on board (not mandatory to follow them. We had been warned and it’s best not to. They are not very attentive and client service oriented. They will say contradictory information and only let you buy souvenirs from their contacts and more expensive. We were warned beforehand but tried it out so we could get some information about the place - mistake, take a book guide. - Expensive and very average food stops. - Breakfasts not diversified, lost chance to try new food. - Our private tent was in fact shared (we might have misinterpreted private room/tent as both private but maybe the first is the tent not). - Beds rock hard - Early wake up call so you can wait while they figure out who is who actually and which of the options presented the night before you wanted (for our friends 4am to leave at 6am because where are the camels??). - Sandboarding is standing on a board down one small slope. Don’t pay extra for it, get both camel rides - sunrise will be behind you on the way back. It feels like it’s neither authentic berber “uncomfortable” camping or really comfortable for...

Abdul came to pick me up at the square to take me to the riad then offered tea & cakes before showing me the house. He also guided me in the medina, gave me good advice. Asad's lovely wife also took the pain to take me to Jardin Secret. I can't say enough how grateful I am to Abdul, Asad and the wonderful staff. I know I'll come back! Location is also great in the medina. Next to it is riad Yima where you can see exhibition and products of Morrocan artist Hassan Hajjaj. What can I say about this Riad that hasn't already been said! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and the service and hospitality was absolutely incredible, we arrived late at night and were greeted by Abdul in the main square to walk us back to the Riad, Asad then welcomed us into the Riad and prepared a 3 course meal for us, which we had already requested, the communication with Asad prior to arriving was excellent. Anything we needed Asad and Abdul were on hand to accommodate us, whether it was tips on how to haggle, where and what to do, restaurant recommendations etc we felt so at home in the Riad. Special word about Abdul - nothing was too much to ask for and he went over and beyond to look after us, a really great guy. Keep up the good work Asad! Bottom line up front, BOOK A STAY HERE. My goodness, where do we begin? So many of the other reviews talk about how perfect the place is and the ideal location. All of this is correct 1000%. But what I don’t think is stated enough is the PASSION and ATTENTIVENESS that Asad delivers every single day. His energy is palpable. I feel excited about Marrakech with every interaction I have with him.. every time I talk to him. He lights up with every question my friend and I ask him, and is clearly so delighted and happy to share about the riad and the city. Anytime I reach him by WhatsApp, I get a thoughtful, prompt response. Literally better than chatgpt. I feel that I got the inside scoop on Marrakech and learned so much from the few interactions we had. You will for sure have an amazing time if you stay here.

They made sure to give us tips on how best to navigate the souks and attractions like the Ben Youssef Madrasa so we could make the most of our time there. Breakfast every morning was a delicious bonus that kickstarted our busy days of exploring everything the city had to offer. I would highly recommend staying here, and I plan on staying here for any future trips to Marrakesh. Thank you for everything!!

Cons: We absolutely loved our stay and have nothing negative to say.

A fabulous riad, with fantastic and kind staff that made my stay in Marrakech a very enjoyable one. I hope to be back one day soon! Breakfast was served everyday, rooms and beds were made etc. Snacks and drinks were available for additional purchase; that was handy. My room was beautiful. All of the staff were really great -I was made to feel very welcome from the minute I arrived and throughout my stay. I'd like to say a massive thank you to Abdul in particular for going beyond, such as making breakfast earlier than usual before I went on a long day trip to Aït Benhaddou, and allowing me to try and practice my Darija with him, and many other things. All in all, the perfect stay! Sad it wasn't longer!

I cannot say enough good things about Riad Al Mamoune! Asad and Abdul took such good care of us. They will organize transportation and excursions for you. We were not familiar with Marrakech and they made us feel very comfortable. Abdul met us at the car on our arrival to walk us through the medina to the riad and Asad walked us to our car to go back to the airport. The breakfast was incredible! The decor was stunning. We were REALLY well taken care of. WHEN we go back to Morocco we will be staying here!

An amazing experience staying at Riad Al-Mamoune, the staff (Asad, AbdelMajid, Bouchra and all the team) embodied the best of hospitality and took care of our every need. The Riad itself is very traditional, and each room has its own unique decoration. The copious breakfast was prepared everyday including local fresh produce. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate were from the most delicious we have ever tasted! The location of the Riad was great, being a few minutes walk from all the central attractions of the Medina and tucked away enough to be a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The Riad can organise a range of excursions and trips offering a break from the busy Medina. We had some younger members of our group fall ill and Abdel kindly prepared therapeutic herbal teas to aid their recovery. We felt really taken care of from the senior family members to the young :)

The location of the Riad was perfect very near the market area, literally 4-5 mins walk to the centeral location. Walking distance from most of the local Marrakech poi. The staff was very helpful in finding places and suggest few points we were earlier planning to drop but decided due to the recommendation but it was really worth visiting those. Breakfast was also amazing catering to all the needs.

Cons: If you are thinking of same comfort as resorts then it's not for you. I would have preferred more cleaner pool water and bit bigger pool.

This was the best place to stay in Marrakech. The general manager personally picked me up when I arrived in the medina. Before showing me the route to the riad, he pointed out places where I could use the ATM, restaurants, etc. He showed me how easy it was to navigate your way back to the riad through the medina which was incredibly helpful. Inside the riad was stunning. There courtyard area and pool was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to help me with anything (including helping me find affordable souvenirs). Everyone treated me with respect and kindness. The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff was very attentive. The room itself was stunning. It was very clean and comfortable. I recommend this riad to anyone wanting to stay in the medina. The staff truly go above and beyond for you and you feel very safe and comfortable.

Perfect location if you are interested in the lively Souq (you re basically sleeping in a historical building within the Souq) with hard-working, very supportive staff who solved all of our problems and helped us to organize our trips, escorted us to taxis, organized excursions and gave plenty of historical and cultural information. They even helped us with photoshoots, shopping and with medicines when one of us got sick in the last day of the trip. If you want to live the atmosphere of the medina, this Riad is in a perfect position and the people are super-helpful. Breakfast is abundant with local sweets, bread, fruits and the famous Moroccan mint tea.

Cons: no problem at all from the Raid staff.

Riad al Mamoune has been the best decision we could have make. The bedroom was beautiful, the facilities were well maintained and the whole decoration enhances the experience of being in Morocco since you are in a gorgeous original riad. In addition, the location is great as you are two minutes walking distance from the spices market. Nevertheless, without a doubt, the best element of this riad is Asad, the person in charge of the Riad during the day, he gave us the best tips and recommendations, besides being always available and happy to help, he gave us a tour around the souk, he took us into places that if it wasn’t not for him we would not have seen, and you shouldn’t miss them, he took the best pictures in the best spots, since he is also a photographer. We definitely recommend Riad al Mamoune.

The Riad is very beautiful and located very central. We had an amazing room which felt like a scene from an 1001 nights tale :) You have the possibility to get your breakfast at the terrace or next to the pool. The city itself, with the souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa, is very lively and exciting. As per Asad‘s recommendation we also tried the Hammam and the Moroccan massage, which I would definitely suggest everyone. Besides that I got myself a Henna from two lovely, vey talented ladies in a beautiful atmosphere at the Riad. Asad and Abdul were very hospitable and showed us the best places to buy jewelry and spices. I fell in love with Marrakech so we will definitely meet again :)

Well we finally made it to Riad Al Mamoune after having to cancel our original trip during the pandemic and I’m so glad we kept the details of this wonderful Riad. The location is close enough that the souks are on your doorstep but not so close that you can enjoy the serenity of the courtyard or roof terrace. Asad who owns and runs the 16th century Riad is one of the nicest hosts you’re ever likely to meet and with Abdul and another two ladies everything you need or want is catered for, they all go the extra mile to make sure your stay is truly memorable. Asad makes you feel so welcome and treats you like he would his own family, if you need anything Asad will get it or sort it out for you, nothing is too much trouble. Marrakech itself was everything and more we could have wanted, at no point did we ever feel in danger it is a city where you can go pretty much anywhere and feel very safe. Everyone we met was helpful, friendly and had a great sense of humour. Needless to say I would whole heartedly recommend Marrakech for a very different weekend city break made truly memorable by the uniqueness of staying in Asad’s amazing Riad.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Riad Al Mamoune. It’s a beautiful, relaxing, oasis in the centre of the medina. Coming through the door into the peace and lushness of the Riad after the heat and excitement of the Souks was truly a salve for the soul. The rooms are gorgeous, and each one has its own theme - we stayed in the Bedouin room, which was really lovely. What really made our stay so special though were the hosts. Asad and Abdul were so welcoming and friendly, served us delicious tea on our arrival, were always happy to chat with us (and teach us so much about Morocco and it’s cultures and history - thanks Abdul), and they were always so helpful (organising taxis, helping us buy things we’d seen in the markets, sorting out our trip to a hammam, providing all the information we needed and providing many hot tips to enjoy our time in Marrakesh). They really made our time in Marrakesh extra special, and we will miss them! Staying there and getting to meet everyone who worked there actually ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip! We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Marrakesh.

The location is great. Right in the middle of Medina. The place is very old and has a lot of character. They serve great breakfast and are very flexible with timing - whenever you wake up. Normally, I do my best to limit interaction with the staff. However, these guys were very nice and super helpful. For example, Abdula walked me to the Fna square at 7 in the morning to make sure I get a fair price for taxi (I ended up paying 60 dirham and two tourist that jumped in “my” taxi paid 100 each. He also bought some spices for other guests at great prices. He is a great guy to share a conversation with.

Cons: While I respect and value the historic interior design approach, I would love to have some sort of a shower curtain.

we really liked the hosts ( Asad & Abdul) who made our lives really easy while we stayed at the property. They facilitated us in getting Moroccan SIM cards, made sure we had a comfortable stay.

Cons: as much as I enjoyed staying at the property, the Wi-Fi was a bit tricky at times. I unfortunately had to take a few work meetings and I found it a bit uncomfortable in that sense. But again Asad & Abdul helped us out & made sure we got better internet connection.

Asad and Abdul were really nice and cool people to meet, very friendly and helpful. I didn't have too many hot showers in Morocco, so it was great to get back to Riad Mamoune at the end of the week, where the shower water is hot and strong.

While in Marrakech you want the authentic feel by staying in a Riad. This is clean, cozy and the staff is fantastic. Asad gave us highlights of Morocco and what to see and Abdul went out of his way multiple times (getting up early to make breakfast, walking us to tour meeting etc). The only thing is the location is deep in the shopping area so it’s crowded getting there but the Riad is on a quiet street.

the property was very clean, and the host + owner were extremely friendly. they provided a lot of travel tips, tricks and advice they were always ready to assist a special mention to Abdul, the caretaker at the property, who is extremely knowledgeable and always ready to assist. Asad, the owner is also extremely approachable and very helpful. the breakfast each morning was the highlight of my stay, absolutely loved it and what a great way to start your day.

Cons: I stayed in a single room, which was very comfortable, although the room was a little bit small. this wasn’t an issue for me at all, but just something you may want to know if it’s something that might bother you. I found the room to be more than adequate for myself (lone traveller).

We had a lovely stay at Riad Al Mamoune. The Riad felt very cozy, and the staff made us feel as if we were at home. The room was nicely decorated, AC and hot water were both readily available, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff made sure that there were food options for our young daughter. We would happily stay here again if we find ourselves back in Marrakech. Thank you for your hospitality, Asad!

Asad and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to offer advice on the local area, with a mint tea welcome reception and a delicious breakfast of fruit, cakes, breads and coffee every morning. I couldn't rate them more highly - they were fantastic hosts! I recommend the airport pickup on arrival (paid separately) as the riad is located in a dense warren of markets; it's easy to feel lost the first couple of trips through. The property is surprisingly quiet considering it's in the heart of the medina. The Tan Tan room was comfortable, regularly cleaned and attractive, and the rest of the riad was gorgeous. Nights were cold outside in January, but the heater and blankets provided in the room were sufficient.

Cons: A TV would be a nice addition, but otherwise my stay was perfect.

First off, love the architecture of this Riad with the pool and plants is great. The lighting at night is beautiful and brings me to a place of serenity. My room had all of the amenities and even heaters which came in handy for the weather was a bit rainy and chilly. The beds were very comfortable and appreciated the heavier blankets. The staff was excellent, extremely informative and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Cons: The only drawback which is still worth the stay, the wind was quite strong one night so the tarp was making some loud noises. I have been in other Riads and this one is by far still the quietest especially for being in the center, conveniently close to many attractions.

This riad is located in a very safe and quiet alley. So if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the medina but still stay inside, this would be the perfect place! Asad and Abdul were absolutely lovely hosts as well! They gave very useful tips and were so helpful with any requests. The design of the courtyard and rooms were all very beautiful, which made this stay extra special. I would definitely recommend it to other solo travellers.

My partner and I were absolutely delighted by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It was our first time in Morocco and they made us feel at home from the very first minute, anticipating any need or accommodating any request patiently and efficiently. They arranged the transport from and to the airport, booked our traditional hammam treatment... they even helped us printing our boarding passes (Menara Airport doesn't accept mobile ones). Abdulmajid really looked after us and we enjoyed his company a lot - he is better than a Lonely Planet guide to Morocco! The breakfast was really nice and overall our stay felt quite authentic, which was good as we only got to spend 3 days in Marrakech. The location is lovely: very central still not on a busy road, so it's nice and quiet. They did their best so that we could take some nice memories with us from Marrakech, so we can't recommend Riad Al Mamoune more. We hope to go back!

This has to be the best Riad in Morocco. The owner Asad couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. He took the lead by contacting me via whatsapp just to make sure i didn’t need anything before checking in and was just incredibly available the whole stay. They organised everything from transfers, tours, and activities for us and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Im missing the delicious and generous breakfast that was made fresh every day. Friendly, hospitable, and calm! We stayed here with 2 kids in the middle of a long trip from the US. The kids were getting tired and cranky before we arrived, but our large suite was beautiful and spacious, Abdul was so interesting to talk to, and the food (we ordered dinner as well as breakfast) was so excellent, that they ultimately declared it a highlight of the trip! Abdul helped us get to and from our car with our suitcases, which was very appreciated, given the location inside the medina. But the location itself could not be better, right in the middle of the bustling souk. The shower was a little challenging, and the sink was across the suite, completely away from the toilet, but it's an old building so it's completely understandable -- and everything was very clean, and there was plenty of hot water. Great place to stay with a family.

Very glad we had read other reviews and chose this delightful Riad. Great and varied breakfast. It is a quiet spot close to the centre. Marrakech was buzzing and exhausting . When you arrive in Marrakech you will need for sure someone that guide you and giving you advices, and you'll need also a good spot to have a rest after the crazy day spent in the city. Riad al Mamoune Is the perfect choise: Asad, Abdul, Yassine are the three guys that gave me assistance and an unbelievable hospitality all day long. We became friends, they helped me to organise my travel and to integrate myself with the maroccan community. The Riad Is amazing. A full stoned building, with spectacular colours, nice and comfortable rooms and very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. They will welcome you every morning with a rich breakfast, and you will enjoy just having a chat about their traditions, stories and travels. From Riad you will need literally 3 minutes walking to immerse yourself in the unique Medina atmosphere. Highly recommend for everyone: for who is travelling alone, for couples and for families. I'll come back for sure next time. Great experience.

This was probably one of my best stays in my long travelling life. (I have been to 40 countries and several multiple times). The riad was beautiful and the room was great, but the hosts went over and beyond what was necessary. When I was travel weary and didn't want to go out to dinner, they went out and got it for me! Amazing! (You can order a great dinner here, but I was too late telling them) Breakfasts were so yummy! They booked a tour for me and I didn't have to lift a finger. Plus, it was in the medina and right next to all the action, but on a super quiet street. If I come to Marrakech again, I am staying here!

I must complement the staff above all else. Azad the manager texted me a day earlier to confirm my checkin with a diagram finding the Riad. It was comforting knowing my room was secured and my arrival expected around the stipulated time. GoogleMap WAS LIFESAVING and extremely useful to find any directions in the puzzling Souk! My arrival was greeted by Anas, in my years of traveling around the world, I had never met a staff who was so dedicated, polite, professional and helpful, I saw in him a great asset to any establishment. His proficient English and French were remarkable. Abdul was equally great in making my stay “like home”. Housekeeping and breakfast were excellent I looked forward every morning enjoying my meals on the cool breezy terrace rooftop. The Riad itself was beautiful and serene. It was peaceful and guests were wonderfully hushed in keeping with the calm ambience. Chirping of birds and the household cat were an unexpected welcome. Cute. Location was excellent about 10-15 min through labyrinth of maze (thank goodness for GoogleMap) to get to JemaaElFna, shops, restaurants and the cafes. The only aspect that could be better was bathroom in my room, it could use a minor touch up to prevent shower from wetting the whole bathroom. Maybe a bigger and more prominent signage outside the Riad entrance would ease travelers finding it. Having said that, I highly recommend this Riad, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and grateful to the excellent staff.

We loved our stay at the Riad Al Mamoune. The location is fantastic, you are right in the thick of things, but tucked away just enough that it is quiet, off a merchant alley connected to the Jemaa el-Fnaa medina. The staff is very outgoing and friendly. Our host met us at the driver drop-off point across the medina and walked us to the Riad, giving us some info about the markets along the way. Once there we were greeted with warm mint tea, and given an overview of the area with the help of a map. The area can get very confusing to navigate with all the streets and alleys, this was very helpful for us to orientate ourselves and our walks. He recommended some great non-tourist trap places to shop and eat as well. The breakfast we delicious, fresh, cute, and a little different each day, served on a lovely rooftop. We highly recommend this place, and would definitly stay again.

Our stay at the riad was great. Definitely setup a taxi from the airport with the riad before you go. We made the mistake of negiotiating a local taxi for 50-80 dirham and trying to navigate through the medina on our own with our suitcases. Hosscine was a great host and gave us many great tips and suggestions of places to see and things to do. The road is pretty central to the souks, Ben Youssef, and the Place Jemaa el Fna. The wifi was weak but it was okay since we weren't in the riad much. The fresh breakfast was great! Breads, jam, fresh juice, and coffee. We felt safe too. Even when we came back late at night, Hosscine was always alert to see who was entering. We would recommend others to stay here while in Marrakech!

You'll need to pay some boys to find this Riad. V friendly English-speaking manager. Rooms in Moroccan Riad style so charming, clean and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast. V helpful in giving guidance and directions. I'd stay there again.
