There was no Hot water during the stay and everytime| we had to request for hot water and sometimes there was NO WATER from the tap at all which was very inconvenient and unacceptable. Food was very basic and no choices for vegetarians or vegans . Swimming pool is a lie. It is under renovation and we didn’t use it during our stay and were not informed during booking which was made a month ago. Spa facilities are not usable too. All of this issues we faced when the hotel is fully booked and we heard bad experiences too from other people stayed during the same time

Rien... Sans oublier la conduite catastrophique...

This hotel is a good option if you don’t want to stay in the Medina. The breakfast room is amazing. The pool seems great although they are doing some work construction next to it. I bet it will look amazing in a few months. I found that all the employees were very kind and helpful. Receptionist, front desk agent, doorman, people at breakfast room. The room was clean and very comfortable. It has a cute balcony. I would recommend it.

The rooms could do with updating and the Poole is 1,8 m only small section is for kids snd is 0.5 m wich is not great for children to play around. The hotel looks nice but a bit run down. Breakfast was nice and the staff that serve the food are very polite. However alot of other staff members are rude. When I arrived I booked a family room for four people. There were only two towels in the room when I asked for some more towels, they told me two was enough. They then reluctantly gave me one more towel. I then wanted to use the gym. When i asked one of the staff to open the gym door for me. She told me she was eating and I should come back in an hour. I told her I had paid for the gym and I would like to use it and she still told me she is eating and I should come back even though the gym was meant to be open. The hotel rooms are not cleaned to a high standard. So with that and rude staff, its just not worth the hassle .

Lite varjation i menyn hade vår sällskap uppskattat lite mer.

The hotel did not live up to the website photos and information. The tv we got working to English after about 3 days. Not a big deal but we did ask for help on the first day. The safe we could not use unless we paid per day. This we were not informed off. The gym had to be paid for. All the amenities expected to come with a hotel such as this were not included, which was a disappointment. Extremely noisy outside even with windows closed, especially in the mornings as there is what seems to be a school nearby. Curtains are not great as very bright in the morning. We had no mini fridge but got one on request. Wouldn’t say it was the most relaxing hotel as a lot had to be adhered and requested. Sadly, wouldn’t go again.

First I got a room that wasn't cleaned, then in new room were really-really old towels(for the whole vacatoion) a nd the tv didn't work. When I addressed these provlems then nobody didn't give any feedback, it just was so. By the pool were dirty chairs and tables and for 2 days was next to the pool somekind of repair works(welding and hammering from morning till late rvening). For 1 day there wasn't any water and before I got to my room then in the reception desk nobody cared to inform me about it. And in the end of vacation they wanted to get for airport transfer 150 dirhans, although in hotels.com it's written 100dirhams. So quite a terrible experience :(

Everything was dirty, the rooms weren’t complete, as mine was missing the minibar fridge. The second room I got had an unpainted wall and the carpets were full of dust and dirt. The swimming pool without towels or service, then the breakfast buffet would charge extra for expresso coffee. When I asked reception to move my room as I was not happy they told me “inshallah” tomorrow but nothing happened. Also no room service Definitely not a 4 star hotel. 50% of it was selfservice.

Amazing family trip - had 2 family rooms - really clean. Staff was very friendly. Concierge service was constant in contrast of what was said on website. Buffer Breakfast was good with number of varieties. The slight issue we had was to do with outdoor swimming pool which was advertised on website but that swimming pool belonged to the residential blocks adjacent to the hotel. Over all very satisfied with our stay in Imperial Plaza Hotel

This is definetley not a 4 star hotel. at best a 2 star. Breakfast was terrible, we ended up getting our own in the end. Rooms serviced late afternoon. Too far from city centre, you need to get a taxi and is not walkable and you will get ripped off by the taxi driver. socket hanging off the wall. Room was too small for a family room. very dated. Only possitive i could find was staff were polite and helpful.

The hotel was very tired looking and many of the features advertised were not available. The room we were offered initially was a suite and had a hot tub on the balcony. However the hot tub was broken, the air conditioning did not work, there was no mini bar the bath looked dirty as it was scratched even though it was clean. We asked to change rooms as it was really not and needed air conditioning. The 2nd room we got was not really any better. The room service was appalling as they hardly ever answered the phone. When they did, the tea or coffee that was requested was cold every time! The breakfast offering was also very poor. The only good points of this hotel was the location, rooftop swimming pool and Hammam service at the spa.

The room was scrupulously clean but a bit shabby. The pool terrace was lovely but the water was freezing. The food wasn’t great. It’s a convenient location if you don’t want to be in the medina. It’s very cheap and as such very good value for money. It’s quiet and a short walk to the supermarket and drink store. It’s about £3.50 in a taxi to the medina.

Our room was clean and the cleaner would come every day to clean and to stock up the necessities. Breakfast is a bit random but the pancakes are made fresh and are very delicious! Watch out for the airport transfer as we initially thought it was part of the booking however they charged us 450 dirhams when we got to the hotel. We paid it but decided not to go with them for the way back. The receptionist kept knocking on our door asking for the time to pick us up in the morning I said they were too expensive and that we arranged our own taxi. HE returned later on that evening to say that the price paid upfront was for the return journey as well. It all seemed a bit dodgy to us and I thought if we just agreed to the transfer they would have charged us that again. Maybe it's normal for them but I personally thought it was odd - at no point did they confirm that the payment was for both ways. Especially that I raised my concerns about the amount before paying but they just spoke and laughed in a different language.

Stay away from this hotel, there are a lot better places to stay in Marrakech that are better and more central. The only good thing about this hotel is the view from the roof which is beautiful. The location is not ideal, it is far away from the medina and main attractions. The hotel is loud and the staff is unprofessional. No Wifi in the room, which was dirty, and uncomfortable. The bed was hard, I found hair in the bathroom, and the water was cold. Smells of smoke. In need of a serious upgrade. At least the TV worked.

I was unhappy about this hotel, because I was sick and had gotten an allergic from the room. The room was very dirty, they did not change the bed sheets for five days. The food was very old and my wife got ever so sick and I was in hospital for 1 day. I’ve wasted 5 days in this miserable hotel. That is why I’ve paid extra money to change hotel. And I’m recommending NO ONE to come to this hotel. And they have not refund my money. This hotel is a 4 star hotel, my in my way its a 0 star hotel.

Nice hotel. Check-in took over half an hour. Not too close to the centre, but not too far, good distance away. A bit of a language barrier with the staff that took care of the rooms. Breakfast was mediocre, cold most days with few staff working. Rooms were nice and clean although we were not given enough towels despite asking several times. Cheap restaurant nearby that had good food. There were always taxis around as there are a few hotels in the same area.

The hotel is in the middle of a residential neighborhood; limited dining options near-by and nothing to see within walking distance; about 10 minute cab-ride to the "old city" or the train station; seems to cater to middle-class Europeans. Wi-Fi free in the lobby; overall a good value.

Having visited over 200 cities around the world - some big, some small, first world and third world, and stayed in Hotels and hostels - this was the WORST. In Summary * NO HOT WATER - was fixed one night (after 5 1/2hrs of me waiting in my room and six visits from the handy man) then the next night I was advised there were too may guests and there was nothing they can do * TOILET BROKE - wouldn't flush * FAR AWAY FROM TOURIST AREA - a good 20min walk to train station and 30 min minimum to tourist part of town - also, not many taxi drivers know where it is - even when I showed them address and maps! * ROOM SERVICE - Couldn't call for it - had to order at the pool or reception - ordered the same thing a second time and something different - that cost twice as much showed up - with STALE BREAD and chips that had been re-fried so were disgustingly oily and hard - Oh, and they charged me twice as much. Each time I went to reception I could sense their eyes rolling and sighs of exacerbation every time I left - and I had to physically go down to reception because they don't answer the phone! Bad water pressure - I can deal with - no hot water, I cannot. When I advised reception, it took a guy (with terrible BO) Six visits to my room across a span of five and a half hours to finally get me some hot water (this was 5.5hrs I had to sit around waiting). The next morning, when I used the toilet, it would not flush - I advised reception on my way out for the day and when I was back, it was fixed - but back to no hot water. Also, quite far from town, so couldn't just nip back to drop off bags or change shoes etc. Pool looks far better on photos than in real life, and the bar by the pool only sells beer and softdrink (super inflated prices) - no cocktails or anything else. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We stayed 5 nights in Aug 12 and found the hotel staff pleasant and welcoming. The room was quite large and comfortable and overlooked the central court-yard of the surrounding appartments. The views of Marrakech and the High Atlas mountain range were excellent from the roof top swimming, which was a welcome relief from heat at the end of the day. The hotel is a 50min walk from the centre of Marrakech for those foolhardy enough to attempt it, a taxi takes around 10mins and is well worth the money, bargain hard for a good price!!!! A major plus point was the excellent and refreshing air conditioning that pleasantly hummed away day and night and kept us well chilled. For those of you who read reviews I would say dont, everyone has an individual experience of a holiday. Taval with an open mind, dont have any expectations as you will always be a little dissapointed, smile, say godmorning/evening and respect the country and people you are visiting then enjoy.

The worest breakfast every and not worth £7.50 per day per person. The hotel staff try to lie alot and have many hidden charges. The hotel staff tried to make us get cabs and book events with them with a 100% to 150% markup. So be aware of staff. We said we where muslims and then they offered as better rates so its bit of a racist culture and white people definately are made to pay over the odds.

This hotel was 'OK' it is definitely not a four star hotel, I would give it 3 stars in Britain it would be 2. The lunch ordered on the roof terrace always arrived cold or meat uncooked and always took up to an hour to arrive. The dinner would look lovely but would have at least one thing on the plate which was cold. The reception staff were always busy mostly talking to each other, a charge was put on everything done. On the plus side the view you get from the terrace was brilliant over all the buildings in Marakesh and there are enough sunbeds around the pool. The breakfast was lovely as the hotel has a patassrie joined to it so the pastries were beautiful! The rooms are clean and OK. If you want somewhere clean to stay with a lovely view of the city from the roof stay here but do not expect a four star hotel.

The hotel was generally shabby and in need of a good clean and basic maintenance. The unused fountain in the dining room had dirty water laying within, the pool had a cigarette packet drowned at the bottom with dead plants and cigarette butts around the outside. The hotel room was okay but the shower curtain fell down four times, once whilst the cleaner was there but only one attempt to fix it was made. The main issue was the distinct lack of customer focus. Whilst we don’t expect 5* service, we don’t appreciate standing at reception waiting for personal conversations on mobiles to be completed or discussions with other staff members, before even acknowledging our existence. Yesterday we asked twice for service at the pool bar and after twenty minutes gave up and went down to the lounge bar and the price also varied depending on who served you. The food was luck warm on all occasions, and was the same on consecutive lunch and evenings, great only if you are a fan of chicken and olive tagine. The front of house manager argued with us with regard our change from lunch to dinner (as half board) stating that the person who confirmed our change was apparently a trainee and had not passed on the message and therefore we were in the wrong! The hotel was not central to the main tourist area, so although reasonably quiet at night, a journey in a taxi was needed, at varying rates depending on the aggression of the driver!

We spent five days at this hotel, which is out of walking distance to the Medina and old part of the city. We caught the bus from the airport, but beware as it doesn't go as far as the Imperial Plaza - the driver dropped us by the side of the road and we had to rely on our pidgen French for directions and a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Our room was large and clean, with good TV and bathroom facilities and a balcony. This looked out onto the road, which wasn't as noisy as we had been warned. Other rooms look out onto a central courtyard, which would probably have been better. The rooftop terrace was pleasant, with a small but nice pool that was little used, so there were plenty of sunbeds available. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, with all having at least limited English. Breakfast was also limited, but satisfactory. We might not have chosen this hotel if we had realised how far it was from the city centre, but for the price we paid it was perfectly acceptable. Anyone willing to do plenty of walking would probably not have a problem.

We have just returned from 3 nights at The Imperial Plaza Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the hotel clean. The food was average but the buffet was not open on the first night as there was not enough people at the hotel. We were given a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 deserts. This meal was the best we had there although there was little choice. The pool on the 6th floor was lovely however you could not add any food or drinks from the pool bar onto your room bill. We walked to the main square which took about 45mins.

Arrived a day early and they were able to get us a beautiful room although it was full price for the last minute booking. We were to pay in cash for the room but convinced them to charge the room after quite a bit of conversation. We had to switch rooms the next day. The room given for our reservation was decent but quite a downgrade from what we received paying full price. The A/C in this room didn't quite work and in following days there was an awful smell that didn't go away. Had to open balcony to air out the room. Front desk reception (one lady in particular) was very rude and not at all helpful. One day she was sitting down with a friend talking and wouldn't come to the desk to help. After a few minutes we went over to let her know that we needed help and she directed us to wait for someone else to come to the desk. She was very awful.

The hotel is nice enough, polite staff, excellent breakfast and a rooftop pool with a bar/ snack bar. The only pitfall is its distance from the Medina; doesn't look very far on the map, but there are more closer and convenient places to stay. If you're not fussed about catching a cab every time you want to get to & from centre, then it'll be great.

Once in Marrakech things were good. A small taxi for the two of us from near the hotel to the old city was about a london bus fare-not bad. Hotel was pleasant enough and the food was good-just stay away from the fishy pizzas. The view on the 6th floor terrace is a must see at sunset. We booked 2 of the Expedia tours which were good value for money. Tip: keep small change on you for when you go to the bathroom as you‘ll need to tip. Take picture in the main square at your peril! They will demand money from you for the picture. Warning!! When near the taxi rank don’t listen to any guy who tries to tell you he’s in charge of the taxis and you have to go through him. Walk away from the taxi rank and hail a taxi off the street. It’s cheaper and you don’t have to go through the hassle of haggling every time you travel. But be sure to agree the price with your driver BEFORE jumping in his taxi. Taxi ranks right outside the hotel charge more than ones off the street.

This hotel is excellent if you want to stay away from the daily hustle and bustle. A taxi ride will cost between 20-30 dhr into the city centre but DO NOT get a taxi from outside the hotel but from the main road, which is a 1 minute walk. Always haggle for taxi prices as the local drivers have a habit of quoting 100-150 dhrs for any taxi ride. If you do not want to get a taxi then bus 19 will get you near the city centre. Once again the staff are really friendly and helpful and the female receptionists are beautiful and always serve with a smile. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Marrakesh

The hotel was on the whole a pleasant experience, the staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help you even though there was a language problem and they didn't always understand English. The room was clean and comfortable, the only main downfall was the laundry, it came back still damp, not smelling the best but the clothes were not ironed, for which they wanted extra money. Most hotels always wash and iron your clothes when you use their laundry service.

This hotel is NOT in Marrakech. It is well outside it and will cost a fortune in taxi fares to get in and out from the city. You cannot walk the distance as it is too hot. The service is extremely poor and they are just interested in getting money out of you any way they can. Nothing is free including the sauna or gym. There is a charge for every use.

I thought I'd found myself a bargain 4 star hotel when I booked this hotel and the reviews were all pretty good. However, from teh pint we arrived and checked in, I realised I was in for a big disappointment. We arrived at 11am and were told we could not check-in until 1.30pm because our rooms were not ready - despite the hotel stating normal check-in is 11am. We decided to go for lunch whilst we waited in the pool cafe. We waited over 20 minutes for a bottle of water and then had to chase our food having waited over 40 minutes for sandwiches. To summarise, the hotel looks nice, is located about 15 minutes by taxi from djema el fna but in terms of service, it's terrible. The reception staff are not interested in looking after you. The rooms were nice enough in terms of cleanliness but the pillows are very hard and there are very few power sockets. Also, bring your own iron because they dont have any. Finally, you have to pay a local tax on departure - we paid about 12 pounds per room for 5 nights. I wouldnt recommend this hotel...its only been running for less than a year and the staff clearly still need a lot of training. Stay in a riad - I wish I had.

24 room service - only for salads. Takes over 1 hour to arrive to room, NO kettle or tea in room..No complimentary water. Elevators working only occasionally. This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in all my travels.

Stayed here for 5 days in July 2009. The hotel was of a very high standard and certainly deserves the 5* rating! The hotel was very modern but had lovely Morrocan touches throughout. Used the roof top hotel pool during the day which was very nice - the pool bar staff were lovely and cook you up a great cheese panini and chips at lunch time! The rooms were also of a high standard - clean and modern and the service was great - would certainly go back and recommend to others.

Very nice staff members. Very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. A few things that I would have liked to see, probably not specifiv only to this hotel... alarm clock in the room, free internet access (had to pay extra) and more info about the city.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel and could not fault it. We had a lovely room and it was very good value for money. The roof terrace is very nice with the swimming pool which we used on a few occasions to cool down. We also had lunch on the roof terrace which was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as I preferred to stay in the new town having the option to taxi into the old town which was no more than 10 minutes away.

The lift was broke so we had four flights of stairs to carry luggage up and down. There was suppose to be internt available but that was down half of the days we were there. Wish i had paid more and got a descent hotel. I was surprised the staff were so unfriendly. We had been touring and visited many countries and this was the worse hotel we stayed in by far!!
