Attention, FLAT hotel in Agadir is to be avoided absolutely. The lack of security is alarming. The apartments are accessible to anyone, without any control, which exposes residents to serious risks. Even the parking lot offers no guarantee of security. Your vehicles are left unprotected, which is unacceptable. Do not put your safety at risk. There are much safer establishments nearby. Give priority to your protection and that of your loved ones by choosing another hotel.

Great hotel, very friendly staff, room very clean, pool is amazing, breakfast was good, lovely lady here as well found everyone to be so nice. Short walk to beach, food was lovely and everything is so cheap, taxi not the best but it gets you around. Will definitely be back again, thank you Flathotel for making it a great few days

A good week in the winter sun for our first time in Morocco. However ensure you are put in the correct room as we were asked to move 3 days into our holiday due to an error on the receptionists part. We managed to keep our original larger room but the language barrier (my French was as bad/good as the hotel workers English) was an issue while I was explaining the problems with the room they tried to move us into. A little too far from the beach, shops and restaurants so probably wouldn't go back if we return the agadir. On the plus side the rooms were clean and in relatively good condition and the maids were efficient and unobtrusive.

I have been with the a football team for a week in this hotel. The hotel had very disgraceful, dirty rooms and no hot water, the electric cut off more than a hour for all the hotel, bad breakfast, bad service, very old towels, bad wifi signal, very old T.Vs in the rooms and when we want to talk to the manager she doesn't be kindly with us and she only speaks about the money nothing else and she don't care about the customers I recommend you don't book this dead(awful)the hotel says it is 4 stars but I will not give it more than 2 stars

We’ve stayed at the Flathotel early June 2013, and it was the worse experience from Check-in to Check-out. Upon check-in, there was a confusion regarding our reservation, it was cancelled, but we don’t know by whom, we checked in to one of the suites, it was dirty, dusty with Spider webs everywhere. We called housekeeping and it took them a day to come by and clean it. Next day there was no Hot water, and we got yelled at when we called the Front Desk, we got a simple answer: There is nothing we can do, you have to wait! Location was OK, we had a pretty nice view from the terrace, other than that, it was not worth the price we paid.

Two of us stayed here in October 2011. Checked in first night and the air conditioning didn't work, it was just tripping out at the fuse box. They sent a porter up to try and fix it but he clearly didn't know what to do. Thankfully we were moved apartments the next day. Not before that, the music from the hotel club was blareing until about 2am, we were well away from it but could still hear (and feel) it; this happened a few other nights after too and we had to sleep on the hard sofas most of the time to try and get a bit further away from the noise. The apartment was generally clean but very outdated, especially the kitchen. The fridge didn't close properly so we had to prop it shut. We lifted the lid off the Moroccan teapot, only to be greeted with a handful of mold sitting at the bottom - yak! Clearly this apartment hadn't been used in a while and the maid missed this out. The staff are very friendly, though it helps to know a little French, especially if you need to speak to the maid - who by the way was equally friendly and came to clean and change towels every day. Beware buying drinks from the hotel bar though - on the first night we were parched and they charged us roughly £14 for a red bull and a glass of coke, not realising until we eventually got the hang of the conversion the next day. The hotel itself is situated more-or-less right on the southern edge of the city, surrounded by building sites and out of the way of everything. However you can hail the little orange/yellow taxis and it only costs about £2 to go anywhere in the city. The nearest little shop is in the hotel next door and is very handy. There is also a hypermarket just a 5 minute taxi ride away. The swimming pool is quite large with a smaller one for kids. At that time of year, it was in the sun morning to mid-afternoon but soon got shady. Plenty of little birds darting in and out of it and a few cats pass by now and then. Terrace on the north-west side of the apartments gives a fantastic view towards the kasbah and the lit-up Arabic text at night (God, King and Country). Not much else to say about the hotel. City is quite beautiful in places and they've done a lot of work to make it a tourist destination, the promenade in particular. However, we had mostly cloudy weather and it sometimes got chilly, especially in the evening. We managed a trip to Marrakech one day and I would highly recommend staying there instead of Agadir - it was much warmer, more cultural and we didn't mind not having a beach.

nothing special, could have been better decent 1 bed apartment we stayed in but couldnt really expect more for the cheap price paid. Cleaned by cleaners everyday, nice pool decent size pool behind. however, poor service in the hotel restaurant area. 10 min walk from the beach but would need a taxi to get to main beach area. taxi's are easy to get and usually charge 1- 2 quid to get anywhere. overall had a fab holiday!

Hotel clean staff nice, our room was large with a view of the pool. The local taxis were cheap (no need book one at reception) the local taxis are easy to flag down ouside the hotel, and cost about a £1.00 to go anywhere in Agadir. Only cost £170.00 each for a week including flights, airport parking, transfers and self catering. Great for the price will be back March 2011 Enjoy!

Went there for the end of my backpacking trip to chill out the last night. However, the sauna was broken. It was not possible to get some kind of breakfast before 8.30. The remote control is yet to be found somewhere, anywhere and the guy at the reception called a taxi and told me right into my face that it would cost what the locals call the "tourist price" twice the price allowed. the english at the reception was also quite lousy even for me, an non native speaker.

Bed was like sleeping on a board so we decided to sleep on sofa which was just as bad, electric shock from two ring hob which was all that was available to boil water for cups of tea which incidentaly took in excess of half an hour to boil two small cups. Constant noise from three close building sites which start at 7am and finish at 6.30pm, six days a week with the one next door only stopping on sunday afternoon including breaking up concrete with compressor for five out of our seven night stay. there was a small terrace bar next to the pool which was never manned, therefore you could only buy drinks in the evening from the smog filled and noisy bar behind, which was open untill the early hours with no consideration for residents. Reception staff were friendly but could not understand our requests very well. The sign outside advertised a supermarket, restaurant, spa and massage, which when we asked the staff we were told they were shut. The Cleaner came in every day to do the bare minimum and bring our wet ragged towels in from the airer only to fold them up and put on the shelf in the shower. Apart from that the hotel was situated about half a mile or so from the wonderfull beach, not 200m as stated in the Itinery, We thoroughly enjoyed the long walks, restaurants and friendly locals and would certainly go back but not to this hotel. It is a shame as this hotel with the right management could be wonderfull.

Great place for young people great pool area. clean and tidy place staff are very friendly we managed to flood the room twice and yet they didn’t kick us out the hotel. the bar does play load music from 11pm-2am so if you want to sleep in-between those times then it can be a slight problem. Beach is 200m away but that’s the dead side of the beach. Main beach area is about a £1 taxi ride 10 Moroccan dirham’s. there is wifi but only at the reception area. gym is very disappointing nothing like the picture. overall great place to stay. Stayed 28/04/10 to 05/05/10

Huge clean pool + small childrens' pool, surrounded by spacious sunbathing patio with enough sunloungers. Nets at the edge of the pool for water polo & a table tennis table on the patio. Well designed complex, with all apartments overlooking the pool & sea in the distance. Apartments spacious & well designed, each with balcony or terrace, but the furniture & fittings are showing their age, with no apparent maintenance policy eg. the kitchen cupboard door fell off & the shower head was not connected to the hose etc etc. Catering equipment is limited, but you can ask for more - however as you can enjoy a 3 course meal for 60 dirhams, approx £5, you'll probably only want to make breakfast. (The hotel's 40 dirham breakfast is bread & butter & a cup of coffee). We strongly suggest you take your own towels, as those supplied are old & grey & are taken away for laundering each morning, but not returned until late afternoon, so you have no towels for most of the day. Bed linen, again old & grey, was not changed during our stay. The lady receptionist deserves a special mention, as she is very good at her job - friendly, helpful & funny. She would make a good manager. This hotel is surrounded by half finished buildings & other hotels that don't appear to be occupied. Consequently, there is no absolutely no atmosphere or sense of being in an exciting foreign resort. Marjane hypermarket is a 10 minute walk away & there is a mini market 100 ms away (but expensive by Moroccan standards). You can walk to the beach in 10 mins, but the beachside restaurants are a further 10/15 min walk along a very pleasant promenade. This was OK when we went (Easter 2010) but maybe not so OK when the weather is very hot, but taxis are constantly cruising - just flag one down. As someone else has commented, there is loud disco music from 10.00 p.m. until 2.00 a.m., which means that it can be difficult to sleep - just switch on the aircon, as this is louder than the music! During our stay there were a lot of youngish teenagers, boys & girls, staying without any accompanying adults. They weren't a problem, but did tend to monopolise the pool at times. For the money the Flathotel is fine, but if we go to Agadir again, we would choose somewhere closer to town, even if it costs a bit more.

The apartments are nice, airy and light. Well situated near a shopping center with supermarket. DO BRING your own chopping knives, kettle and frying pan. You will need a rental car or use taxis. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the spa. They are unprofessional, arrogant and have no notion of customer service. We booked a 1-hour massage. After 30 minutes, the masseuses left without a word. When we complained, Management was reluctant to deal with the complaint and it felt like WE were being uncooperative and iunreasonable. We had no apology and no explanation. NEVER AGAIN!!

We stayed for 8 nights and this has to be one of the best places to stay in Agadir if you are looking for an apartment . It is not in the center of town, but a short walk or taxi ride and you are in the center of town. The staff are very helpful and willing (they do speak english)to explain to you the do's and the don'ts, advise you if you need help and help provide transport to other places if you need it. After a day exploring or on the beach it is wonderful to relax on the terrase with a perfect cold glass of wine or beer or tak a Hamman or massage downstairs in the berber salon.
