Fabulous accommodation... one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Pool and pool area lovely, with very good folk on hand toctake food and drink orders. Restaurant also brilliant, with lovely food. Treated ourselves to a Hammam too, which was very relaxing and in a lovely space.
Cons: Nothing really we didn't like, but just be aware that it is a short taxi ride to town (c£5). But area around Riad nice with a mall next door with ATM and supermarket, and also some other cafes and bars within walking distance.

The staff was very pleasant, the room was nice and clean, the grounds and the pool were well maintained, breakfast was tasty, Apparently the hotel is a spin off of a well known restaurant- it's not too far from the airport, which is why we choose it- on the flip side it gets a bit noisy out at the pool, periodically because of jet engines.

Everything was lovely. The staff was exceptionally helpful, always there on hand for whatever was required. Always with a smile. Even though I had booked Deluxe Double they gave me the option to either have an upstairs room or the ground floor. Due to health issues I had opted for downstairs. This did not disappoint! I had a lovely room with winding stairway leading up to a terrace. It was so beautiful. My little own peace haven. Love the quietness. This was truly a family atmosphere.
Cons: Very little I didn’t like. I think a little more information on the spa. I was misinformed that there was only a Hammam when in fact I could have gotten a leg massage or head only. But I think this was due to the language barrier. I also feel that there could be a few other options on the food menu I.e.. lunch, as you can get bored with the same food even it is very well cooked and tasty. A small bottle of water provided in each room would be great also.

- 10min drive to Medina - beautiful small oasis brings tradition and modern comfort together - excusit marocan cusine, try 12 marocoan salats and lamb shoulder - warm staff to give you home.feelings - helped us with henna appointment, shopping tips, and organised tours - Thank you Al Fassia for a great three-day private tour to Sahara with Redouan. His storytelling skills about history, architecture, and marocan life were extraordinary. Our daughter missed his smile and attention the moment we left his car. Al Fassia Aguedal, is one of the warmest and most friendly hotels we have ever visited, and we travel a lot. The manager and the entire staff go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was always delicious and well presented. The restaurant is one of the best in Morocco and for good reason too, the food and the staff were excellent. The facilities are maintained to a high standard and the entire place had a real Moroccan feel about it. The Hammam and massage were great too.

- Breakfast was served at the table (no buffet) and was delicious every morning - always composed of fruits, sweet (local pancakes with syrups, jams) and salty options (bread, ham, cheese, olive oil), eggs based on preference, tea, coffee. - Pool was very charming and heated slightly (we were there during winter). Staff is extremely kind and attentive, they made sure we have everything we need at all times. - The building is more specious than the riads in the Medina, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was very large and comfortable - well heated during winter, which is not always the case for riads in the Medina. The architecture was very appealing with the garden, the courtyards, the coloured-glass windows. - The restaurant was very delicious, we ate there twice (apparently they are known for their restaurant). They even served once the restaurant food in our room one night. - Location: you will need a driver or a taxi, but it's very convenient. It took ca. 10 mins to get to the Jemaa el-Fna. For us it was worth it to stay in a spacious and calm environment. - Great value for money! We were very satisfied with our stay.
Cons: We were very happy overall.

Al Fassia is a unique hotel, traditional hospitality coupled with 5 star service. From the moment I stepped through the large wooden gate I knew I was in for a treat! I was staying solo for 14 nights with a 4 day trip to the Sahara in the middle. The first few days I relaxed by the pool. Yes it is heated, and yes it is warm enough to swim in December! Food is served all day until 5pm around the pool or in the lounge and is a mix of morrocan and international. Hammid, Imrad, Hammza and Youseff are always on hand with fresh towels and for me, plenty of English Tea! I felt totally spoilt and nothing seemed too much trouble. Narkis, Younes, Momu & Zineb in reception are so friendly and welcoming and seem genuinely interested in what you have to say. Im sure they were bored looking at my endless holiday snaps! But, these guys wrote the book on great hospitality and excel at it! The room I had was spacious and warm, with lovely views of the gardens, and I had fresh fruit and Moroccan sweets put in my room each week. The ladies who cleaned everyday were lovely and the place is spotless! I used the laundry service too which was very good. Room service is prompt and readily available, even on very early mornings if you have a trip booked. The hotel itself is out of town. About a 15 min drive. You will need to taxi in and out to the Medina but tour buses will collect you from there if you are going on a trip. There is a good shopping mall and a few great cafes nearby that are a 5 min easy, safe walk and 2 ATMs. The wifi is good in all areas of the hotel and gardens. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The gardens are very pretty and all lit up at night. I had a Hamnan and massage which were very good and the ladies who did the treatments, professional, funny and welcoming. Not only did Myra and all her staff ( and there are many) provide great hospitality they showed great care towards me too. It really felt like a home from home.
Cons: Leaving :(

Very quiet and clean. We were so well looked after by the staff, food and drink were all delicious and it was super easy to get in to the medina but far enough away to be calmer and more relaxing. Massage was excellent.
Cons: The only thing that didn’t make this a 10 is that the room was quite warm. Temperature was controlled centrally so we couldn’t put air con on to cool things down which meant sleeping with the windows open which was more noisy.

Absolutely faultless. From the moment you walk in, seeing the array of trees in the reception area, everything just feels tranquil and peaceful. Everything was clean. The pool is a great size. The staff are amazing. The manager Myra goes out of her way to chat to every guest and help with any queries about the Riad or the area. The staff at Reception are all so helpful- organising taxis, transfer to airport, restaurant bookings and spa treatments. The staff around the pool and at breakfast (breakfast is served poolside) are attentive and helpful, special mention to Youssef, a real credit to the Riad. The Hammam and full body massage was amazing. We ate in the restaurant attached to the Riad several times and highly recommend. The breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Tip: ask for Shakshouka at breakfast. The lunch served around the pool was delicious each time. We were made to feel so welcome. Our suite was huge! Very comfortable bed. Toiletries included in our bathroom were a lovely touch. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day. We didn't want to leave. Thank you to all the staff and the stunning surroundings for such a perfect week away for my birthday.

The Al Fassia hotel is a very peaceful place, I was in town for a conference, and it was great to be able to go back to a comfortable room each night and have breakfast around the pool, they also were considered with my gluten and lactose intolerances, which I appreciate. The staff was kind and very attentive at all times. I also had the opportunity to have dinner at the restaurant with a big group from the conference, and the food and service were incredible, I literally went speechless with their Tajine d'Agneau aux tomat sucrées, and would like to go back and taste many other dishes. Indeed, I would go back to Al Fassia if I had the chance to go back to Marrakech.
Cons: I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place.

Myra and her team are a credit to themselves. Al Fassia Aguedal is a private and tranquil oasis only ten minutes away from the hustle an bustle of the centre of Marrakesh. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean with the added luxury of a stunning pool to laze around should you chose to, drinks and food available all day. The customer service is faultless, they go above and beyond to make sure that their guests have the best experience, nothing is too much trouble. I strongly recommend eating in their highly accredited restaurant too where the food is authentic and delicious and the team are an absolute treasure! My daughter and I stayed for 7 fantastic nights and I hope to return again someday with my partner. Thank you all for such an incredible stay.

El Fassia was a lovely discovery… We needed a hotel for one night because our flight was canceled, and the resort where we were staying had no availability. And it's a good thing it didn’t! The experience at El Fassia was much more enjoyable. Starting with the local décor and style, which represents Marrakesh very well. The rooms are very spacious, clean, cozy, and beautiful. The staff goes the extra mile and always has a smile. The restaurant is sensational… we had a lamb shank that was delicious. Since it’s a smaller hotel, it’s very pleasant to be there, relaxing in the garden and enjoying a moment of peace and calm. If we return to Marrakesh, this will be our next choice for accommodation.

We loved the style and authenticity of this Moroccan Riad . Al Fassia Aguedal is reasonably priced and has not been turned into a soulless Disney style parody of itself, like some of the old favourites in Marrakech. Al fassia Aguedal still has style, heart and soul and the staff ooze warmth, kindness and care. The food was utterly extraordinary, without doubt the best in Marrakech. The pool is also beautifully clean and heated to 29 degrees which is almost unheard of in Marrakech! We can’t thank the Al Fassia family enough for their hospitality and warm welcome over the many years we have visited their beautiful country. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to come back! J&C

We thought that this Riad was run entirely by women but it seems only the restaurant is - which is very popular so essential to book. The rooms were attractive and bathrooms luxurious - as expected as this Riad was a lot more expensive than others stayed at. It is a 30 minute drive from the Médina, near the airport and you can hear the planes. The pool area is lovely and the pool is heated but we were a bit unlucky having to share it with loud Brits one of whom very much liked the sound of his own voice. It took some time to be served lunch as only one attendant was working for the whole outside area.
Cons: Noise of the planes and on a busy road quite remote from the Médina. The riad just felt a little bigger and more impersonal than the smaller riads we visited. One of our party wanted to do a hamman but was unable to do it alone - it could only be booked for 2 people…

What makes this property stand out is the unfailingly polite and helpful attitude of the staff, particularly in the hotel itself, but also at the restaurant. Our every need was attended to imediately. When we had a problem finding local currency the manager (Myra) came along personally to help us out.
Cons: Perhaps a few more choices of "international" food in the restaurant. My tagines were excellent but maybe more choice would have helped. Nothing else.

We really enjoyed our vacation in Marrakech, the Riad was wonderful, beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff was all super nice and very quick to help whenever necessary. The breakfast was delicious with a combinations of local and continental food, always accompanied by a delicious yogurt and fresh fruit. The Riad is only a few Km from the central square with multiple taxis available at all times and, if you prefer and the weather allows it, a nice walkable garden, leading straight to the Medina, we walked it almost every night. We were there during the earthquake and they made everything to ensure our safety as well as our peace of mind, and reparations started almost immediately wherever they were necessary (a few small cracks and some painting).

Restaurant is fantastic and the staff is so helpful. I can't find anything bad about our stay at Al Fassia. I would encourage anyone to stay at least for a couple of days as this gives you the opportunity to connect with the different people who work at Al Fassia.
Cons: Honestly, couldn't find a single thing we didn't like. It might not be in the city center, but it's a 5-10min taxi drive to the old town.

Al Fassia is wonderful! Such a lovely place with the best staff ever. The hotel is run by the wonderful Myra Chab who combines efficiency with genuine warmth in a way that is second to none and which sets a tone which permeates across her wonderful staff. Meanwhile Sayyida Chab has established a kitchen with the best food I’ve eaten in Morocco and indeed ranks as some of the best food I’ve eaten globally. all operates as if a beautifully choreographed ballet.

Staying at Al Fassia was an experience that I will never forget. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I were warmly welcomed by the staff, who treated us like family throughout our stay. The hotel's beautiful design and attention to detail created a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere that we loved coming back to after a day of exploring Marrakech. The food at Al Fassia was truly outstanding, with an extensive menu of Moroccan cuisine that we enjoyed every night of our stay. We were especially impressed by the fact that Al Fassia was the first Moroccan restaurant to employ only women, and we loved supporting such an inspiring concept. What made our stay at Al Fassia even more special was the sense of community and belonging that we felt. Myra and her team went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and happy, and we left feeling like we had made new friends. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience in Marrakech. Al Fassia exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to return. Thank you to Myra and the entire team at Al Fassia for an unforgettable stay.

Al Fassia Aguedal is an oasis in the desert city. It is beautiful and quiet, with friendly and attentive staff.

it was beautiful - exactly what the photos portrayed. We had a car so we needed to be able to park. Most riads don’t offer that so this was perfect. And it was quiet and relaxing. It also had a restaurant that people from everywhere come from and the food was exceptional (reviews said this and it was totally true. One other thing - the room was beyond clean. After dealing with bugs at the Ibis Hotel on my last trip I was truly ecstatic there weren’t any here. And considering the millions of flies in Morocco, we didn’t deal with any here!

The room was spacious and the food excellent. Good location with a rental car.
Cons: The hotel staff was surprisingly unhelpful (except the older manager which was great), but the worst was the staff from the restaurant - they were very rude, snobbish and even tried to upsell us the wine on the second dinner we had there. The food was good, but the service totally darkened our experience.

Everything was perfect - from communication before our trip and the welcome when we arrived, to the young men who carried out luggage down from our room and put it in the taxi when we left. Our room was large, the bed really comfortable and spacious and the bathroom nicely functional, with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and toiletries. Breakfast poolside was plentiful and delicious. The hotel itself is an oasis of tranquility, with its inner courtyards and the staff friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and recommend it.

This was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge our batteries after an 8 time zone flight lasting 16 hours. The staff went so far as to assist me in purchasing two new batteries for our Toyota 4Runner that we had left for the last year at the airport -- left on the last flight to the U.S. at the beginning of the pandemic. The breakfast is more than good, maybe great. The on-site restaurant serves as good a meal as we have had in our six week experience in Morocco today. It isn't in the Medina but the medina is a short taxi ride away. I highly recommend staying at Al Fassia Aguedal.

From the moment we arrived at Al Fassia we knew we had made the right choice in Marrakech. A warm and friendly welcome, room upgrade and early access to our room and welcoming mint tea by the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Daily breakfasts were fantastic and always slightly varied. The eggs & tomato tagine was absolutely delicious. The pool area is quiet with a mix of sunbeds and bistro tables/chairs. Shade is offered under palm and olive trees or big parasol umbrellas. Our hamman and toning massage was a complete relax-fest. My skin is so soft now. We ate twice at the adjoining restaurant - food is superb, service excellent and wine .. very more-ish. We are used to London prices, and this did not break the bank! We will definitely be returning to this relaxing oasis for some sun to escape the upcoming autumn/winter chill of the UK. Thank you to Mia and all the staff at Al Fassia.

This small hotel with individually decorated rooms is very charming and the staff and service are great. Clientele mostly European, there was a couple with two small kids and they seemed to really enjoy it. It's close to the airport so not close to the main city - though not far in a cab. Breakfast is simple, (mostly) healthy, and plentiful. Pool is lovely and a good size, pool menu through the day is small but good. Our rooms and bathrooms were huge (we had the suites), huge four poster beds fit made me feel like a princess. I was very comfortable and slept like a baby, but my friend in the other room found the sheets a bit rough (probably not 1000 thread-count!). Very clean. Charmingly old fashioned / traditional decor. The staff and management were all delightful and very helpful. With hindsight, we'd stay for fewer nights, only because we'd probably stay longer in Essaouira, but for a weekend to explore Marrakech or a couple of nights before heading home, this place would be ideal. I'll certainly go back next time I want to visit Marrakech and would recommend to friends.

Amazing place! Everything was clean. The room was so nice, they do the cleaning every day. It's perfect to relax, so quiet. It's only 10min from the town by taxi (30 dirham). Breakfast was really delicious (and it's not the same breakfast every day). Piscine was clean and enough big to swim. I really thanks Myra and her team for the perfect service they provided. I also recommend the hammam, so nice !!! They also have a restaurant behind. The restaurant is really famous in Marrakech and I understand why, the food was so delicious (if you try the couscous royale, I wish you good luck to finish it, so much food!! ).

So beautiful, quiet and relaxed - room lovely and some really really nice gentlemen who worked there. It was such a shame that there was a very negative attitude from some of the female staff towards my group. Felt very uncomfortable and judged at times from certain female staff members and the service from these did occasionally ruin our time which was a shame. Really poor massage as well. It is such a nice hotel and we had a lovely time just some of the service needs some serious work

This is a modern though traditional-style Marrakesh close to the Agdal Gardens, a five-minute taxi ride from the medina. It’s slightly out of centre location means that it is more spacious than many riads with generous rooms and a lovely garden/pool area. I changed my booking last minute to stay here after I heard about the Al Fassiya restaurant. It turned out to be a great decision. Myra, who runs a women-dominated team is a Pro at Customer handling and keeping the place running. She always has time to chat with you, is funny, super loving and helpful. She went above and beyond to be a tour guide and found us a great taxi to travel through morocco. The food turned out to be as yummy as promised. We ended up eating dinner al night we stayed there and were still not bored of the menu. The riyad itself was spacious, quiet with elegant rooms and big windows surrounded by trees. Their family owns another riyad in Fez which we didn't know at the time of the booking but just happen to visit later. That looks very pretty, too. I would totally stay here again when visiting Morocco.

We had never been to Morocco before so had o idea what to expect. The hotel is stunning to look at, and is 100% safe with proper security. The staff count not have been more helpful - smiley, keen to offer assistance, very patient with me when I was struggling to print out boarding cards. Our room had a roof terrace, which was brilliant, and all the rooms, and we had 4 in our party, were large, comfortable with easily adjusted heaters for the chilly New Year evenings, and spotlessly clean. Food was great. Breakfast was fairly light, but enough and to spare for everyone, and we regularly had lunch by the pool, and dinner in their large, busy restaurant. Pool was cold, which was the only downside.

This was my first time visiting Marrakech and j am so glad that I booked Al Fassia hotel. My experience was incredible! The staff are all so welcoming, helpful, reliable and full of enthusiasm. The hygiene and cleanliness is 10/10, all day everyday. The manager is running a great hotel, she is a bubbly, inviting, and great host. She made sure everything was suited to us at all times. The food tasted amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast menu and the efficient room service, as I am a coffeholic :). I have been to Marrakech many times and stayed in every level of hotel from modest riad to the grandest in the country. I have enjoyed most of these experiences on some level and always look forward to returning there. Whilst staying in said grandest hotel a friend recommended the restaurant AL FASSIA in Gueliz - the new town - which was the best meal I had eaten that trip and unusually is run by women, the most formidable of which Madame Fatiha was an instant hit and we quickly slid into eating there every night that week. One night I was outraged to hear from concierge that they were full - tho perhaps not surprised given the fine food - but they had made a reservation at a sister restaurant in Aguedal. We set off and discovered that this sister restaurant was in fact part of a hotel - same family - which was peaceful, charming and I noted that they had a pool. I have stayed in several riads in the Medina and I don't think I would want to stay in one without a pool -and there are hundreds - again tho never say never. I had to be in Marrakech in September and Al Fassia came to mind so booked I think 6 nights and to make a long story filled with warmth & hospitality short ended up in a suite there for 3 weekd. There is space and room for relaxing but it's small enough to feel the warm but firm supervision of Mdme Myra who does her rounds her breakfast - lovely by the pool - a great comfort. It is fantastic to have the restaurant on site and estimable Mde Fatiha there now.

Our stay at Al Fassia could not have been better. The entire hotel is so beautiful, our rooms were big, clean and comfortable as could be. The staff is lovely and service was great. We loved the manager Mira who was so friendly and really took her time to get to know us personally it was one of the best touches. The breakfasts were amazing and lounging by their beautiful pool was a peaceful respite from the crazy city of Marrakech around us. It was truly a peaceful oasis. And the adjacent restaurtant of the same name, Al Fassia, is our favorite in the city. We ate there 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed in Al Fassia.

Myra and her team were so welcoming. The longer we spent here, the more we loved it and the more we felt at home. The location was perfect. A peaceful sanctuary but only a 10 minute ride into the husstle and bustle. It was a little quiet when we visited - mid week, late September, but apparently busier at weekends. The restaurant, open to the public too, was very popular and was really outstanding. Every single member of staff, both in a the hotel and restaurant were charming. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are characterful - Morroccan style. We were upgraded to have a balcony. Breakfast by the pool is a delight. Each morning the breakfast is different. Good coffee, the best yoghurt ever. The pool area is very pretty. The hotel is 3km away fro the Medina but there is a shopping mall close by with shops and restaurants. Its only 50dm for a small taxi to get to the souk etc We went in July which is very hot. It didn't really trouble us but thats when the hotel is quiet. There only a few other guests but that made our stay very relaxing. We had one dinner in the hotel. The restaurant has a high reputation. We enjoyed the meal though the waitress was very slightly pushing us to dearer options. By comparison to the UK the meal wa snot very expensive but w date out eight times during our stay in Marrakech and this was the most expensive meal. We enjoyed some of the other meals as much, so they were better value in our opinion. That is NOT to say the restaurant is not good. We would undoubtedly stop in this hotel again. An oasis of calm. Recommended.

The breakfast, staff and cleanliness of this hotel are all exceptional. If you want to be in the middle of action, this hotel isn't for you. But if your looking for an oasis, this is definitely for you. It's only a short taxi ride to Madina, but seems a million miles away from the madness. Perfect for relaxing. And there is a small shopping centre, a very short walk away that had a Carrefour, it has some nice eating places and some good shops. The restaurant is excellent and the service, just like the rest of the hotel, is first rate. Obviously youl want to try the tagines, but i urge you to try the royal couscous...but don't get a starter if you do...it's a big portion. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was absolutely spotless, constantly being cleaned. The location is great. It's modern yet very traditional. Thank you all at the Al fassia.

Myself and my daughter were on our first visit to Marrakech and were extremely excited but also a little anxious as two women travelling alone. On the first day after arrival we walked to the Medina which took approximately half an hour but was an easy and interesting walk. taxis are very cheap and plentiful (about 50 dirhams or £3.50) but agree a price before you take your journey. We felt completely safe and relaxed during our trip and had the most amazing time! The Hotel was fabulous and we were made to feel like we were family rather than visitors. I'm so glad that we decided to stay here instead of one of the larger resort hotels. Thankyou Myra and all the staff for making it such a memorable trip. Marrakech is such a wonderful vibrant exciting place...we will be back!

I am writing this review after my stay at another riad ( amira). This Riad is just perfect and i thought i was paying too much but after my second stay at the next riad this is worth it. Check in was swift. Ahmed was expecting us and took are bags to the room. I had two rooms. Both were beautiful Room was huuuge. Bathroom was too. Amazing rain shower which was large. They had a little heater in the bathroom in case it was cold. There was a fridge, phone, and tv. Albeit the tv was small that is my only complaint but i hardly watched. The wifi was awesome. 6 mbps It is only 4.5 km from the main square. Believe me this is a blessing. There is parking right in front of the hotel. No issues. The area where the riad is located is nice and safe there is a mall with a supermarket callled carrefour 500 meters away. They have a nice restaurant attached to hotel. Amazing food and service. Seriously it was just perfect.

I have stayed in some very fine hotels all over the world and this is up there with the best of them. It was an oasis of calm and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The level of service, hospitality and helpfulness from each and every member of staff was exceptional and set it apart from other places I've stayed. We stayed in a riad in Marrakech for the first few nights of the holiday before travelling around the country and treating ourselves to the last couple of nights here before flying home. The meal in the restaurant was superb, the room was beautifully decorated and cool in the heat, and the shower easily accommodated the pair of us. Slightly out of town but no more than a few of minutes by cab. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

I really do not know where to start so I will start at the end. We are about to leave this beautiful retreat and the hotel staff surprise us 3 hours before their kitchen opens with a full breakfast in our room before we leave. Followed by hugs! I nearly cried, it was like leaving a family I never had! I cannot recommend this hotel more. It's in a quiet location surrounded by a wall which is lovely. You can walk to the square or get a taxi for $3 pretty much anywhere. Hotel staff and manager are 5 star! They made the stay even more special. I have celiacs disease and on day one they asked me why I had not ate my bread! I do not like to make a fuss about it but the manager took me aside and wanted to know what I could eat for breakfast. I thought that was amazing as I would have made do with a banana! Instead I ate rice pudding and omlettes daily! Lovely! I also wanted some covers made for a foot stool while I was in Morocco. The manager of the hotel arranged it all with the hotels dressmaker. The final product was absolutely perfect. As I said amazing room! Clean! Staff where all amazing! The rose petals in the fountains create a gorgeous aroma around the place too. Stay here you will not regret it! Thank you all at the hotel and Happy New Year again x

We found our experience at Al Fassia excellent. The staff were always accommodating, nothing was too much too do for you. The room size was great, Television I found too small for the room size. The breakfast was different daily. We were not disappointed with this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay. We had just four days, weather was brilliant although rain was forecasted. Everyone was extremely polite, service outstanding. Would certainly recommend the hotel. A short taxi ride or a tidy walk to the medina.

We stayed for 8 nights. A lovely hotel with spacious rooms and a great restaurant. The breakfast by the pool was superb. But the thing that really scores is the staff. All so friendly and wanting to help. I would certainly go back. Also good value.

The hotel was perfect for us. It's 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the Medina by taxi. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Beds are really comfortable and the showers are great. Very spacious rooms. Really lovely pool area. Couldn't recommend it enough.

I'm almost reluctant to write this review as I don't want to spoil the wonderful quite spot we have found...as we will go back!! From the moment you enter this hotel you feel pampered. It's quiet tranquility is amazing, expecially after the hustle and bustle of the Marrakech Medina square! The staff are so helpful, polite and smiling all the time. The food was excellent in the hotel but don't trust the restaurants in town-we suffered a little in the gastro-intestinal dept shall we say! Breakfast by the pool every morning was fantastic. There were no children in the hotel, which for us was fab. I had a wonderful manicure and pedicure by the pool and my partner had an amazing massage for an hour-such good value as well. The only criticism was the taxi drivers-one charged us 150 Dh (about £15) for a taxi into the Medina from the hotel when it should have been 50 Dh (about £5) but he got a severe telling off from the hotel staff when they found out! Overall I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Me and my wife loved this hotel. Perfect size for receiving excellent care and attention from the staff. Rooms are exactly as pictured on the web site so you won't be disappointed. Restaurant is lovely too - try the lamb, tomato and caramelised onion tagine - was my favourite i think of the holiday. Perfect hotel to spend your days doing nothing by the pool and short trip into town in the evening to eat and enjoy the buzz of Marakkech. Cant praise this hotel any more. Great!

I have just come back from a short 3 day trip to Marrakech and this hotel, and I must say I had an amazing experience. The staff simply couldn't do too much to help you out, they were exceptional. A smile and a greeting from everyone at every moment, and always asking if they could help at all.

My partner and I both have demanding jobs so were looking for a hotel where we can get some much needed R & R. Al Fassia is definitely the best place for that! The staff were excellent and the hotel, restaurant & gardens were beautiful. Would definitely go back.

Novel mix of hotel and riad. Very attentive staff - you really couldn't wish for better - exceeds the 4* rating. Very informative arranging transfers and trips. Big bonus is the restaurant - again, couldn't fault - but don't choose a dish *starting* with couscous in the title. DO have the salads starter, you can share - wont give the game away, but magic. Breakfast is good but slightly limited alternating on a 2 day cycle but sublime setting by the pool. Coffee strong and mirky but I'm sure if I'd commented I could have had different. Almazar centre with Carrefour is a handy few mins walk away and actually the Italian Romano restaurant there makes for a cheap ok meal. You *can* walk to centre of Marrakech but its 30mins+ at brisk pace but taxi is only around 50dirham (4 people) - sometimes less - more late evening and despite all that's been said about the taxi drivers we found them all friendly - just agree the price up front. Wider area is under development, so not the prettiest but that's probably not going to worry you too much. Also there was a slight unexplained whiff in the air on a couple of occasions. Roof terrace is a bonus and something they could really develop.

This isn't the hotel with the huge drive-in foyer but one with large wooden gates which are entered using a bell. Once inside, the building is brilliant and the tall palms make a dramatic impression in one of the courtyards. Our room was on the first floor and it was furnished with intricate windows, traditional rugs and a hand painted sideboard. The bathroom was elegant and we were provided with lots of toiletries. There is a large restaurant with lounge seats and the service was swift. In one of the courtyards there was a lovely pool which was kept spotlessly clean. Our breakfast was also served by the pool and it was of a good standard. We had a warm welcome at the reception and we were provided with ample information about the city and the sights to visit. We walked into the medina which took 40 minutes and haggled the Petit Taxi fare down to 30 dhms on the way back.

What a great hotel experience this was. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. Although a 10 minute taxi ride into the city it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and come back to such a tranquil place. Nothing was too much trouble and very relaxing. Spacious rooms, lovely garden and pool area and the staff very attentive to anything we could want or need and great advice on things to see or do. It was like coming home in the evening.

I felt genuine friendliness from the staff and especially kind seeing as I was travelling alone. No issue was made that I was also dining alone amongst couples and big groups either! Ooh, the shower was awesome - I could have simply stayed in there for the whole time!

Stayed with my wife for 6 nights over Easter. From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough for us. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pool area was a particularly pleasant place to spend a relaxing afternoon, with sun loungers or shade always available even at busy times. Finally the resturant was excellent - we ate there 3 times and particularly loved the tangines.

Booked the hotel for a short break. Arrived and the reception team had the foresight to book us a room in the renowned restaurant. Rooms are spacious in a classical Morroccan style. Being a small hotel there was no crowding at the pool. The staff are always on hand but are unobtrusive. By the time you leave you feel you have made new friends. Will we return? Yes. And the restaurant? Renowned Morroccan cuisine. Perfect flavours. But be warned - the portions are huge!

Very well run hotel with charming and efficient staff that go the extra mile. Hotel is very attractive and our room was spacious, well decorated and very comfortable with lots of much appreciated "extras". Breakfast was very good with almost too much to eat! A couple of days in the Medina followed by a few days here would make a very enjoyable mini break - and only a relatively short flying distance from the UK.

Where to start... I arrived at Al Fassia Aguedal where I was greeted by the wonderful Sofia. You immediately feel a sense of calmness when entering through the main doors. Complimentary tea was provided and a walk around the hotel to familiarise myself with the surroundings. I stayed in the comfort room which was spacious and had a very homely feel to it. Room was clean and my bed very comfortable. Likewise the bathroom had everything one would need. A great shower head, two large mirrors, and a hair dryer. A continental breakfast is offered in the morning. Food is fresh and tasty. Sofia happily arranged all my excursions which included a day trip to Azoud and Essaouira. Overall, I only have positives about my experience at Al Fassia and would definitely recommend to others.

This is a lovely hotel situated away from the noise and hussle of Marrakech City. Wonderful large rooms with probably the most comfortable beds ever encountered. The Manageress and staff could not have been more helpful. Really made to feel welcome. Would happily return here. Saw other hotels which did not appeal at all. Excellent restaurant attached which is also well regarded.

We stayed at Al Fassia for 5 nights and would definitely return. I'm very fussy so saying that is a great testament to the hotel and it's team. It was super clean, very friendly, nice breakfast, the receptionist was really helpful with advice in what to see, she gave us a map, was happy to call places for us, book taxis etc. The restaurant is great. Lovely authentic Morrocan dishes in nice surroundings. You do have to be patient in the restaurant, when they're busy, service is slow. ( we found this everywhere though.) Top tips; email ahead and ask the hotel to arrange a car to pick you up, we thought we knew what we were doing and still got stung. It's about a mile and a half into town, not a bad walk. Le renaissance cafe in the new town has free wifi and nice toilets (well not bad) so worth making a lunch stop when you're out and about. Ladies, take some tissue out with you and send the men to check out the loo first! We were rarely hassled and saw no hint of bother, never the less take care and enjoy :-)

I don't have words to explain how perfect this place was. Not far from the airport (they arranged to have us picked up for 150DH). Our suite was absolutely stunning, as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was our favorite part--absolutely delicious. The receptionist, Sofia, was so helpful in every way possible. We really enjoyed our trip because of her recommendations. The medina is a 5-10 minute taxi ride away. My wife and I both went for the hammam and massage on our last day and we were speechless after, amazing experience. You must eat dinner at the restaurant at least once. It was the best food we had in all of Morocco.

Before booking, we looked at the other reviews and wondered why there wasnt a single negative review and now we understand why! The staff at the Riad/hotel made it extremely comfortable for us to be there from the moment we arrived until we left, the experience was so much better than what we expected and hoped for. On the day we arrived, one of the Admin Managers (Sofia) gave us all the maps and information on the best places to see and what to do in Marrakech. We have a specific diet that we follow (Jain diet) and are thus not expectant of finding an array of dishes. However, we were pleasantly surprised when Ms. Myra (the hotel owner) came to us on day 1 to discuss our requirements in detail and insist that we needed to try out the local Moroccan cuisine - so the chef made us different and wonderful tagines to suit our palette for all the nights we dined there. The hotel's restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in Marrakech, so one can imagine how delicious it was. Our whole time there, it didn't feel like we were guests at a hotel, it was more like spending time with loving and caring friends - the hotel staff was friendly and personal with a smile on their faces. The rooms were immaculately clean and the in-house hammam and massage was wonderful too. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed!

I loved the people, the food and the personal touch. This is the perfect oasis right outside of the center of Marrakech. It is easy to get into town, has one of the best restaurants in the city and has everything you could possibly need. I have stayed there twice now, I will stay there again and would not stay anywhere else. They have created the feeling of family and I was sad to leave.

Everything about this Riad was perfect. It was the perfect end to six weeks of on-the-go travel. The setting was beautiful, the room huge and beautifully appointed, the service beyond exceptional. The riad is large but the service and attention makes you feel as though you are the special guest staying there. It also boasts one of the best restaurants in Marrakech - superb. the owner and manager helped us with every need. They have us excellent advice about getting around, how much to pay for taxis etc, organised a full day cooking class in a beautiful vineyard setting and recommended places to visit. We also spent a day at the hotel having a full Hamman, massage, facial, manicure and pedicure and relaxing by the pool. An exceptional stay.

This is an amazing riad, just far enough out from the city centre to be relaxing. The staff are absolutely amazing and special mention needs to be given to Sofia who is like a ray of sunshine each day! The room we stayed in (deluxe) was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. Room is made up each day with fresh linens and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The whole feel of the place is very traditional and the decor is beautiful. The roof terrace is a well kept secret and great for a cheeky evening drink and a fantastic place to watch the sunset over the Atlas Mountains. The negative points, although few, are that there are not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, although you could argue that most visitors are there for the sights rather than the sun. Breakfast is plentiful but a little repetitive over an 8 night stay! If you are willing to appreciate that you are in Morocco and that cultures and lifestyle are different, you couldn't find a better place to spend a week! We ate in the restaurant the first night of our stay, and although the food was lovely, it was expensive compared to other local eateries so we did not repeat the experience.

From the outside the hotel looks rather plain and boring, but stepping through the grand wooden doors reveals a wonderful oasis in Marrakech. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, the rooms are also very comfortable and spacious. The pool area and also where breakfast is served was very calm and well manicured. The only small fault would be the speed of the Internet wifi, or perhaps this is a general problem in morocco? Other than that we had a great stay and would certainly come again!

We stayed during the end of our honeymoon and were very impressed with how quiet and relaxing the hotel was! We spent 4 nights in the medina prior to our stay at Al Fassia and we enjoyed how much more relaxed it was at this hotel, much more removed from the fast pace hustle-bustle of the medina. The room we had was very clean and quiet, overlooking the pool. The pool was very refreshing and also provided a nice setting during the breakfast's each morning, which were tasty and plentiful. The hotel staff were incredibly pleasant, always smiling and very courteous. They let us have a late check out prior to our departure to the train station in the afternoon. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
