My stay at Hotel Diwan Casablanca was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The service was indifferent and unprofessional, with staff showing little interest in helping guests or maintaining even basic standards. The hygiene was absolutely unacceptable — I personally witnessed roaches crawling in the reception area, which already says everything you need to know about the cleanliness of this place. To make matters worse, the lady responsible for cleaning was using the same dirty rag to wipe the floors and the reception counter, right where guests place their belongings. Completely unsanitary. I have photo evidence of what I observed, and it’s clear that management either doesn’t care or has no quality control in place. Save yourself the regret — there are plenty of other hotels in Casablanca that actually respect their guests and maintain proper hygiene. Diwan Casablanca is not one of them.

موقع الفندق الطاقم العامل بالفندق جميع الورديات طاقم محترم مبتسم و يلبي اي شى يطلب منه جميعهم لا استثني احد. الغرف و السرير مريحه و السرير واسع جدا.

Cons: الإفطار جيد بالمجمل كل شئ موجود يلبي الحاجه لكن الشئ السلبي انه اذا نقص اي شى لا يتوفر الا تطلب او تبلغ احد ان يوفر الشى الناقص. الغرفة جميله مريحه لكن ك فندق 4 نجوم يجب توفير سخان ماء في الغرفة و على الأقل ماء و هذا كان غير متوفر.

Lady at front desk checking us in was miserable. No customer service skills at all. Our room had broken air conditioner, plugged bathroom sink, broken safe, lights burned out, and mold in bathroom with signs of severe water damage. Also had no refrigerator as advertised. Front desk lady said all the room safes are broken and said she couldn’t move us to a different room. Hours later a young man named Ayoub was working at the front desk. What a difference! Ayoub provided fantastic customer service and honoured our request for a different room with air conditioning, no mold, a working safe, and a working sink drain. He was the only reason we didn’t leave after one night. The next day Ayoub was also working the front desk and he was extremely helpful and accommodating. What a great employee for this hotel. His service was so great that we continued our stay.

Bitte beachten, es war eine spontane fixe, sehr späte Übernachtung in Casablanca mit frühem Check-Out, daher kaum Chancen gehabt alle Angebote des Hotels erlebt zu haben: Sehr unkomplizierte, zügige und super-kurzfristige, günstige Reservierung um 21.55Uhr zur selbigen Samstagsnachtsübernachtung am 8.9.25. Sauberkeit und Zustand ausreichend und der Region entsprechend eher gehoben. Check-In und Check-Out im unkomplizierten, freundlichen Expresstempo (5 bzw 3min.). Sollte man Casablanca besuchen, ist das Hotel durchaus auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt in Betracht zu ziehen.

Cons: On our second night we were woken at 12am by a horrible loud noise in the room. We tried ear plugs, pillows over our heads but it was awful. We eventually went to reception at 4.30am. The concierge didnt bat an eye lid which made us feel it was perhaps a common problem. A workman was called and sorted the problem quickly (it appears it was a faulty generator above our room)

I really enjoyed this hotel my daughter and I arrived later than expected but the staff were very accommodating and very pleasant even at midnight. And we were advised places to eat and also filled in with three breakfast and the decent checkout time as well the location was perfect as it's five minutes walk from the Casablanca station which was able to take us to our next destination very conveniently and it was a nice quick stay in amazing hotel with even more amazing staff.

Cons: There was a slight leak coming from the AC in our room. However it didn't hinder are time as we were only there for one night however had we have been there longer we may have mentioned something but it didn't really matter too much and it wasn't detrimental.

Room has a leaking ceiling dripping what smelled like toilet water onto the floor outside the bathroom. Ceiling has rust and bubbled paint, indicating this leak had been there a long time yet they were still using the room. Moved me to another room that also smelled. Little to no maintenance, housekeeping is likely using the same rags on every room. Front desk staff was mostly ambivalent, no apologies for the foul room with the rusty rotten ceiling. Breakfast buffet was bare minimum but at least palatable.

We were surprised with the size of the room, and the king sized bed, which was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was also perfect because it was just 5 minutes from the train station by foot, also close to the La Sqala (restaurant), and the ocean. We had the breakfast included in the price, and the quality of the service surprised us there, again. You could get freshly made omelettes by a person who was preparing them and then serving them on your table. Overall, we found the service exceptional! Especially, we appreciated kind people at the reception, thanks to Ayoub! :)

Our room was large, for sure the largest by far on our month long trip in Europe and North Africa. The breakfast was also very good, with a variety of items to choose from. We like to walk, so the location was great for walking to the Hassan Mosque, the old and new Medina, a grocery store and a cute bar that we enjoyed visiting for those elusive “cold ones”.

Cons: Our only concern was that the air conditioner did not work well at all. We were offered a couple of different rooms, but chose to stay in our original room as it was so much larger. The staff at the front desk was most accommodating!!

Great hotel in the city center. Just in front of CTM bus station and 5 min walk from the train station Casa Port which connects with the airport in 45 min only. Location is superb. Facilities are also good (need some very minor touches) and extremely clean. My suite on the top floor stunning (10 floor, wonderful views), very spacious, very large king size bed, super comfy and with nice shower with high pressure. Very nice staff. Spa seemed nice too but didn’t have the chance to explore it. I will definitely come back!!!!

I had an amazing stay at Diwan Casablanca Hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Anwar, Ayoub, Mouad, Ahmed, Abdelilah, Meryem, Fatna and Achraf. The room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect, close to CTM station. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Ayub was amazing! So friendly and super helpful. He even offended me his personal rain jacket to stay dry.😊 We had 2 twin bed room and it was very spacious and clean. Balcony was a nice plus also. Breakfast was a tasty buffet with mix of hot and cold items, with hot coffee/ tea and some fresh juices Location is central to most major sights and we walked to the old Medina, Rick's Cafe, Marina Mall and the Mosque. Would def stay again 😊

Stayed here on first night on Moroccan tour following tours in Jordan and Egypt. Previous hotels were good across the other countries. Diwan Supposed to be 4 star…no welcome drink, no courtesy water, had to request towels, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Stained towels, leaking toilet, dirty rooms, no coffee/tea facilities. Air conditioning barely worked. Breakfast was farcical with little staff help. Ran out of items and coffee. This is a very average tourist hotel but honestly save your money and stay in another hotel.

Horrible experience. Casablanca is not very safe city anyways but this hotel is in the area where street people would approach tourists. Offering from drugs to …whatever services. Hotel is old in horrible condition and under the renovation. Hammering and drilling non stop. No AC working AC. They offered to send the technician. We were so tired of everything. Ripped us off at the reception as we arrived by taxi with luggage. Rude and oblivious. We had to book additional night given how tired we were. Did it on Booking.com. 30% cheaper. Breakfast was fun. There is an old lady who makes some pancakes and entertain herself buy overlooking how much we put on our plates 😹😹😹! Hilarious !!! But we had to approach her bc she was the one who was hiding paper napkins. Oh yes paper napkins!!!! Food selection was a misery. The leftovers from previous day mixed with eggs. Employees would eat after paying guests and they would make faces. The worst was coffee. They wanted us to pay for the coffee. Cold cuts, the same every day. No selection of anything, same old, stale everyday the same. Everyone was kinda not interested in quality of service. They would be very loud on halfways Seating and chatting for long time. Had to get out of our room to ask them to be more quiet . Bell service should exist but no….help with taxis non existent. Except for our last day when one young guy from the reception helped us with a raid to the train station. After that we decided not to return to Casablanca ever again. He stopped taxi, some old woman was at the front seat. Instead of telling driver we are going to Voyager station he said nothing. Driver was going towards Port Train Station in opposite direction. We didn’t speak the language. Woman took off at some point driver started to blackmail us…seriously after being to so many’s countries and cities we never experienced anything close to this. Neve again Casablanca never again Diwan. Thank you but no thanks. The worst elevators ever.

For a short stay, this is an acceptable accommodation option. I reckon in the 1980’s this would have been the place to be. Enormous rooms, big restaurant and generously proportioned reception area. It’s somewhat aged since then. The rooms are cavernous. Ours had an entrance hall, separate toilet, bathroom with spa, king sized bed, desk and 2 couches. The bed was comfortable and the room cooling worked well. We found the room to be quiet and good for sleeping. The room, bedding and towels were all clean. The money exchange rate offered at reception was surprisingly good and a bank ATM is next door. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Reception service was fine and 2 lifts serviced the building. On the downside. The room needed a refurbishment. Some power sockets were loose. The room was dimly lit and the shower head erratic with some calcium build up. The safe was broken. Shops, restaurants and a market are all nearby.

If I could give this review 0 stars I would - this has got to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed for 2 nights and for the entire time that we were there coach parties of people were camped out in the lobby area with all their luggage. We had to climb passed them to even get through the door of the hotel. The communication of all the staff in either English or French was non existent. The hotel room was barely clean, the floor felt like it hadn't been cleaned or swept for months. When we arrived to breakfast both mornings at 8am there was hardly any food left and what was there was cold, there were no hot drinks and no one showed any interest in replenishing it when we complained to the reception. None of the tables in the restaurant had been cleared and all of the cutlery (which you had to get yourself) was dirty.

A serviceable place for one night but no more. Dirty, run down and loud. I stayed for one night here on tour and while the beds were actually comfortable and the linen clean, I can’t say the same for the rest of the room. The bathroom was filled with limescale, to the point where the shower handle was stiff and hard to open. The towels were scratchy and rough. My room’s sliding door to the balcony didn’t lock which was a bit frightening. Outlets are old and loose. Floor smelt of cigarettes. No sound-proofing between room and loud outdoors. We had dinner and breakfast here- both of which were not amazing. Limited selection of food, and everything was cold. But, it was a place to stay I suppose.

Great location especially if you're doing a quick arrival by bus or leaving for the airport by train as the luxury bus station is 2 minutes away and the Casa port train station is 5 minutes walking. Great comfortable room with a very large balcony which I enjoyed my only comment would be that the gym and the spa are very dated. Staff were great... Buffet breakfast and even the dinner were very good.

Cons: Gym and Spa need to be updated.... But still a great value at the price I paid!

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night while on tour in Morocco. The hotel was clean and the rooms are big but its not very modern and feels quite old. The lifts are tiny and although the hotel had a gym they refused to give me a key to the gym due to Ramadan. They had nice coffee at the bar area but breakfast was extremely limited and not nice due to Ramadan again I believe. All in all a budget hotel but not sure about 4 stars.

The hotel needs a complete renovation. Rooms are very dirty from the bed backboard to the bathroom. The toilet was not cleaned very well and is old and broken down. The entrance is dirty and tables with drinks from night before. They also smoke in the open area of the entrance. The outside is quite unkept. Plants need help and food placed on the ground for animals outside the entrance door.

My room with king size bed was more than adequate. However, the first night, I woke up to a leak in the bathroom ceiling and water on the floor. They did switch rooms to a comparable one and that room had minor issues and were fixed right away. Staff were attentive.

Most of the things at washroom are not working properly or not at all. The staff is so unorganized that they charged me twice for city tax. One of lady with Hijab at front desk was racist towards me. J'ai passé un très bon séjour au Diwan Casablanca, aussi bien par l'accueil et le service, la taille, la propreté et le confort des chambres. Bien situé, il est facile de se divertir autant que se restaurer à proximité. Profitant de la présence d'un hammam, sauna et de la possibilité de se faire masser, j'y retournerai volontiers lors de mon prochain séjour.

In general, it is a good place to stay in Casablanca, especially we booked a triple bedroom which the space and size of room is so big. The room is clean and comfortable, shower water is in very high pressure. The only thing that is not very good, but I think it's general thing in Morocco, the hotel didn't provide any bottle of water and kettle, also the breakfast did not have water as well.

This place is nasty smells badly and just horrible. I am here right now as I write this review. On a group tour and cannot believe the tour company chose so poorly. First and last time here. I’m checking my documents and if this is where we stay on the return I will just book myself somewhere else. Let’s start with the filthy bathroom with one tiny towel. The room is hot and very very musty. These sheets are itchy and the mattress needs replacing. The AC is not working and there is no way I’m eating in that dining room - breakfast is included but I will just eat a granola bar I packed in the morning and take a taxi some place for dinner tonight. Yes it’s that NASTY. Never traveling with this tour company again. Did I mention how horrible it was. Zero stars but the minimum is a one so that’s all they get

This hotel had a wonderful staff. They made us feel like we were home. Everyone was super nice. The complementary breakfast had such a wonderful selection, even included fresh omelets made right in front of you. This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the Medina, Hussan Mosque, and the iconic Rick’s Cafe from the movie Casablanca. Staying here was delightful and I can’t waiy to book a trip back!!

We were referred to this hotel from another hotel and found the front desk staff quite helpful. It is billed as a 4 star hotel, but in my opinion it is only 2 stars. The beds were comfortable and clean linens. However the bathroom was not clean. The counters had dried water stains and the shower enclosure needed repair. The sliding door to the balcony did not lock, leaving security questionable.

We stayed here on our first night of our tour. The hotel is located downtown close to the old Médina. The area is very dirty. We checked in and the first room they gave us was dirty and beds not even made. The second room didn’t have toilet paper, soap or shampoo. Very basic room. It was ok for night. The breakfast was not appealing either. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi worked that was about it. Another mom and daughter were in a room across from us and they kept having issues w/their key card and then water was all over the floor- it was crazy. I don’t recommend staying here if you can help it. We were on the 6th floor and were told that the 9th and 10th floors are nicer. This was the view out of our window. It was also very loud street noise.

The hotel is out of date and the furniture is very old and the room, corridor, lobby and the restaurant are not clean at all. They said the breakfast will start at 7:00 am, unfortunately, they open at 7:30 am but the food was not ready until 8:30 am. There were very limited choices at breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were not helpful and we have to wait along time to get a plate or a fork. The light in the room was darky and not comfortable. I reserved private transportation from the hotel to pick us up from the airport, we had to wait for almost 45 min for the car (they simply forgot about our request), then when the car arrived we discover it was an old shared taxi and the driver asked us to wait for another 30 min to pick up some other guests with us???!!! moreover, I paid for a private car in full and what I get was not acceptable.

Hotel Diwan is a very unpleasant hotel: - It is very dirty, I saw a cat coming out of the kitchen. -The floors are dirty I don’t want to take my shoes off. The keycards are even so dirty. The toilet didn’t flush. Absolutely disgusting. -The shower water keeps alternating from hot to cold within seconds. - The safe didn’t work, the door wouldn’t lock and I felt very unsafe. We had to change a room. -The electricity for my electronics didn’t work. - costumer service is nonexistent. We had to come up and down to reception for things that we needed. These conditions are absolutely unacceptable. I do not want to stay there another second.

ホテルについた時に、事前に着く時間を伝えていたのでホテルの方が外で待っていてくださいました。部屋は暖房がなく、かなり寒かったですが、毛布で寝るときだけはなんとかなりました。ですが、部屋は本当にさむい、、！！暖房はあったのですが、一泊4ユーロかかるみたいで我慢しました。。朝ごはんは、パン、ヨーグルトといったシンプルで、味は普通です。シャワーはお湯、水圧okですが、二日間泊まって、一日目だけなぜかお湯を出していたらだんだん冷たくなって寒かったです。スタッフの方はニコニコしてて感じの良い方々でした。

I don't really leave reviews, but I feel it's my duty to warn others on this occasion. This hotel is diffidently not with it's 4 starts. An absolute joke. It was certainty is not a cheap deal when I booked my week long stay in Casablanca, but I was expecting a nice and comfortable stay in return, instead: 1) On arrival you are not welcomed and taken to your hotel room with a quick introduction on all the things in your room. You are simply given your hotel room key, and told to go up to your room. 2)The toilets are filthy, the bath is clogged up when you take a shower. There are brown mark all around the bath, it's difficult to say if it's dirt or lime scale. 3)The towels are grey and rough, clearly overused for years. Definitely not a 4-star-hotel feel. 4)the managers are the most unhelpful, rude, and speak very little English. 5)Room service is outrageous, be prepared to wait a lifetime if you simply request extra towels. 6)Breakfast buffet is not fresh. It's clear that food from the previous day are displayed again. Also the service is slow, as when the tea, milk, eggs, or any other item run out it's not replaced quick enough. There's not much choice other then diary and carbs! I could go on with this list for ages. When I first checked in, I refused to stay in the room they gave us as the toilet was soo filthy it was not hygienic at all, so they gave me another room instead. As if it was planned, because the receptionist guy had another key ready without question!?

Ac didn't work. Toilet seat was broken. Water in sink didn't go down. Breakfast finished at 10.30, at 10.25 it was empty could not get anything. Stuff nice and helpful. Central location. Good for 1 night.

Nice hotel. One of the rooms when we checked in was not ready. Although this was not an issue as we just waited in the other one from our group as we waited for that one to be cleaned. Breakfast was good with a nice amount of selection.

Decent hotel just outside the main touristy areas of Casablanca. It is reasonable for the price though it needs some updating. The surrounding areas are all right but not great for walking, shopping, or sightseeing. There are however several restaurants and the Central Market nearby. Front desk service was very good. The breakfast was decent. There is no business lounge but the front desk will print documents if you need it.

Traffic outside the window was constant and very noisy. Location was ok for the main tourist places (mosque and ricks cafe), about 30 min walk to the mosque. Beds were very comfy, great selection of pastries plus more for breakfast.

Very poor customer service they very rude the manager unprofessional there's no respect from his staff when I ask them to call the manger they talk when I was telling him about the bath room the shower broken as the toilet seat I told the cleaner lady and she told them and I told the front desk staff there's no connection between the staff and the manager Abdul Rahman the girl worked in front desk very rude she tried to charge me tax when I already paid including the booking on line I did show her the paper booking she keep saying the manager told her to charge the guests after I put my bags into the car one of the staff asked me to go back to pay tax I went back with paper booking but all what I get rude talk when I asked them to talk to the manager they don't want to call him the door man guys they called him and I was shocked because the staff and the manager all talked one time I told the manager write down what you and your staff asked me to pay he's refused. The hotel dirty every where the breakfast staff they touch the food with no cloves so 3 days was very bad experience in that hotel I go to Morocco 4-5 times a year for work I will never go to that place.again

Good things first - Good staff helpful and responsive, - Big Rooms - Location was good, - Housekeeping was good, Improvements - Dull entrance - Hotel needs maintenance badly, the tiles of the room I stayed had fallen down, ceiling is with all black fungus mark, - Old furniture in the corridors, - Can provide, a kettle, note pad & a pen etc.. Over all "Not Bad" just there is lot of room for improving.

Nice hotel in the downtown and nearby metro statio. Location is very good. Staffs are also very good. However, lift is old and room keys are difficult to operate. Otherwise, worth of the money.

We stayed for 3 nights in a suite on the 2nd floor. The suite was spacious but on a closer look we discovered many lacking details - dirt in corners, wall and floor cracks in the bathroom, no promotion material or brochures, very noisy minibar with no beverages, missing coffee maker even though it was supposed to be there, noise from the street and hallway. The buffet breakfast was very poor with bad service provided by non-English speaking staff.

Great Hotel. Rooms were big and friendly staff. Breakfast is served form 7 to 11 but we had to leave the hotel by 6.30 so they went out of their way to make breakfast for us at 6am and no extra charge.

Our one night stay at the Diwan Hotel was great. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was okay, they had a lot of bread but not a lot of other selection. Wifi was sloooww. There are a few restaurants and one grocery store a few blocks away. It is a 15 minute taxi ride to the Hassan Mosque. Service was nice and polite, the only problem was the service was slow when responding to our problem. Our door jammed and it took them 2 hours to get it opened so instead of us checking out at 12, we were able to check out past 2pm and missed our intended train schedule.

1st... We had an extra-big room on the top floor, so perhaps we had a better room than most. ...or maybe not. Great room, balcony with nice view, tub with jets. ...shower didn't really blast; sort of ran straight down. 2nd... I actually got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes, but I don't really hold that against the hotel. It actually seemed to endear me to the staff, who were super-friendly. 3rd... Breakfast was surprisingly good. Omelette station, masimmon (Moroccan bread) station, etc. 4th...Great location. Great restaurants close by (Rick's Cafe, new sushi restaurant across from the beeeautiful Casa Port train station, incredibly delicious Cafe Jose Tapas). Long walk/short taxi to Hassan II Mosque (a must-see). Great experience (and I stay in Casa a lot).

Diwan Casablanca is conveniently located in mid-town, with easy tramway and train access. Reception is friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and well decorated. The bathroom could do with some new painting, but it was clean and well-appointed.

The hotel was unclean, bedsheets were dirty with marks, flush was not working properly. The only plus is it being close to casa port station but this definitely not a 4* hotel. Hassan II mosque is more than a half hour walk. Breakfast was very basic too.

Don't tell me that every room has air conditioning if you only run your air conditioning during July and August. Don't tell me that you will provide an iron so that I can prepare my clothes for an interview if you only have an overnight laundry service and no ironing equipment for guests. In fact, don't ever tell me anything again, I wouldn't believe you if you told me that the sun rises in the east.

This hotel served our purposes. The staff was friendly, the room was very clean and the most spacious we experienced during our stay in Morocco. The best part was the location however, an easy walk to the old medina and the main square which had a lot of cafes, restaurants and evening activities. We also had no trouble in walking to the Mosque, an approximate walk of 30 minute through the old medina from here. The breakfast was adequate

Not the best of hotels but quite acceptable. Buffet dinner and breakfast were superb but the hotel doesn't serve alcohol so dou can't have wine with dinner. I went to a hotel nearby to enjoy a beer.

I selected this hotel as it seemed the best in my price range, Though it didn't meet my initial expectations it was clean. Waiters in the dining room were very accomodating and friendly. Registration staff not very knowledgeable. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. A large crack in one painted plaster wall was in need of repair. The total experience was good though. There were about 4 restaurants in the area (near the Central Market, produce market) but on my first two night in north Africa I was a bit reluctant so the first night my daughter and I ate in the dining room of the hotel and the second night we walked a half a block and ate at the lobby lounge at the Sheraton. The large dining room had white tablecloths and very attentive waiters..food was ok.. buffet dinner with enough choices to satisfy. Dismal breakfast... flaky sticky buns, bread, butter, jam, cream cheese, coffee, tea and what tasted like Tang for orange juice. Had the misconception you could walk to pier area to eat and walk but that was not the case. That neighborhood was on the Corniche along the beach. This hotel did have two areas to sit in the lobby with leather couches and a marble floor but it was occupied with several large tour groups. Thought about a steam mentioned in their profile but it was in the basement and was kind of scary.

While Casablanca is not much to speak of for a visit, the Diwane was a good deal for a short stay. Rooms are basic, but spacious and quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful and it is easy access via taxi or on foot.

well upon checking in found out room safe, or any safe worked they would give me a master key witch is the master for all safes??? i kept my funds the bathroom although nice was full of scum on the curtain and floor, carpets clean maybe a few months ago. again hotels.com claims this a is 4 star a 2 at best, the place is falling apart, the food sub par, although the staff very nice and the best hammas I had In Morocco. At least the spa part was good. but the room faced the street and very noisy, one day the room was not cleaned, and you wondered about all the mold in the bathroom.

Nothing of real interest for tourists in Casablanca - except for the run down medina perhaps. Hotel Diwane is unexceptional, the staff were moderately helpful, limited dining choices and rooms average.

The hotel was extremely nice. Located in the port area of Casablanca, there was quite a bit of traffic, especially large trucks. There were quite a few restraunts and cafe's located within a few minutes.
