We stayed at the Grand Mogador Agdal for what was meant to be a relaxing break. Unfortunately, from the moment we checked in to the moment we dragged our bags back out, it was a comedy of errors, only no one was laughing. Check in was painfully slow, with staff appearing utterly disinterested. Not a smile, not a welcome drink, not even basic guidance about the facilities. That should have been the warning sign. Our room was serviceable at best, though “cleaning” here seems to mean straightening the sheets and running a mop across the floor. Fresh towels were treated as if they were a rare commodity, and we were told two was the maximum allowance. Requests for more were simply refused. The facilities were equally disappointing. The gym’s weights were broken or missing, making it completely unusable. The children’s area looked abandoned, with a broken trampoline, a deflated bouncy castle, and out of order slides in the pool area. It was disheartening and frankly unsafe. Food was another major letdown. The buffet food was consistently stone cold, regardless of the time you went. Drinks were equally rationed, with just one bottle of water provided per person and no chance of getting another. The entire experience was defined by indifference and incompetence. For a property that calls itself a “Grand” hotel, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. In summary, this is not a hotel. This is a circus run by clowns. Avoid this like you tried to avoid COVID!

DO NOT EAT THE PIZZA HERE IT IS TERRIBLE. The bottom was soggy and when I explained this staff became aggressive, we left half the bottom as it was not nice. When i tried to explain staff were aggressive.

Me and my friend have just spent a week here and enjoyed it very much. The room we stayed in was beautiful and we loved the all inclusive breakfast, the poolside and especially all of the kind staff we met. Everyone was so lovely to us and it really made our trip so enjoyable. A special thanks to the Bahia Restaurant staff, especially Yousef and Ayoub, we will miss it so much but definitely be visting again! Love from Taieba and Fawzia ❤️

Lovely hotel and swimming pools. Loved the fact we could use Aqua park too (mogador aqua fun) as all the animation and slides were on that side. It had a clean lobby/reception area. Clean hotel towels provided. Lovely breakfast provided however the fresh juices outside attracted a lot of bees! Perhaps these should be in the main breakfast area. However the hotel needs a lot of work in the rooms. As our fridge door was half hanging off, bathroom needs work as shower snapped off in the bath tub after first use but as we had 2 rooms next door to each other we ended up going to use other bath in the other room for kids. It was very problematic and time consuming. We were given a room facing the road and there was a lot of noise at night from the road! I don’t think these rooms are suitable for family with kids as it can be a lot of disturbance all night. Also it’s not an all inclusive and I think it’s very expensive for what we paid and the services we received in return. I would return but certainly not for the price we paid this time around! Overall it’s a good hotel and kids did like it.

The only good thing about this old hotel and 5 stars about this hotel was the pool area and kids play area. This is totally a 3 star hotel at best and although it is cheap, it lacks the basics of any decent hotel. The staff here have lost interest in providing hospitality and this is obviously because the hotel does not invest in the structure and making improvements. The owners should look at the comments and try to improve things as the hotel has the potential to be much better. Good things: 1. Pool area 2. Kids play area outdoors. 3. Location is good with taxis readily available to take you to the town within 10 minutes. 4. The front security chap is very friendly and helpful, he deserves the most credit of all the staff in this hotel as he smiles and says hello and shows an interest in trying to help you. 5. The rooms are all very good sizes, albeit dated decor. The bathroom is large but again very dated (bathtub has shower curtains that do not look like they have ever been changed). Bad things: 1. The hotel is very very dated and has not been updated for what looks like decades. 2. The staff are not the most friendliest, going to the front desk which you end up doing lots if you stay here is not for the faint hearted. 3. Air conditioning is too little for the size of the room, however we had 3 rooms and the ground floor room had a very powerful air conditioning which showed that the other rooms air con was either old or not good enough. 4. If you stay at this hotel, make sure you do not keep you room key card next to your phone or any other devices as it stops it working. My cards for all my rooms would stop working all the time, only on the 3rd or 4th time of going to the front desk where the staff seemed annoyed that my card kept needing to be recoded did they say am I keeping it next to my phone (as if I should have known this myself). 5. The bathrooms are large but there is no hotel feel to them, very basic refilled bottle of hand soap and hand cream as well as shower gel in the bathtub - all attached to the wall in case you try to steal it. The fittings and fixtures in the bathroom are from the 1980s.

Very bad hotel and worst customer service you can imagine. Since the moment you arrive, no one help you with the bags even when there was a person at the hotel entrance. The check in took one hour and they gave us the wrong room (they downgraded our room). The hotel is old and is disgusting, everything seems to be dirty and in bad shape. The restaurant had a street cat inside and no one took him out (I like cats but not inside the restaurant and next to the food I’m eating, not to mention that a lot of people is allergic to cats) the air conditioner was so old that it never worked and the room was extremely hot. Please do not stay here

AWFUL, DO NOT STAY! I arrived on 2nd Jnuary. I booked for 10 nights. It was such an awful experience that I left the same night I arrived. The hotel was grubby and very dated. Carpets were dirty. No hot water, it was too cold to have a hot bath. Heating didn't work and I was very cold in my room. The hotel receptionists were so cold they wore outdoor coats behind the reception desk. The swimming pool was a building site. My room phone did not work. Feral cats were running around inside the hotel. All corridor doors to outside were wedged open and it was freezing outside my room. The male receptionist was extremly rude. When I complained about the tepid bath water he said 'If you want hot water, go to a hammam'. I have repeatedly asked for a full refund but so far, the hotel have ignored my emails. Booking.com also have not responded to my repeated complaint. I paid £707 and want a full refund!

I had a wonderful stay at Mogador Hôtel in Marrakech! The highlight of my experience was definitely the restaurant, which offered delicious meals that exceeded my expectations. The variety and quality of the dishes were remarkable. Moreover, the kindness and professionalism of the employees truly stood out. They were always attentive, friendly, and ready to assist with a smile, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. It's a perfect combination of excellent service and great hospitality.

Excellent hotel. Brilliant for families. Check in was a little slow and the air con in the room was weak. Overall though the facilities are spot on with lots for kids to do. Loved the different pools and slides. Room was spacious and very clean. Would recommend highly if travelling with young children.

At first when we arrived, a very friendly older man from the front desk changed our problematic room for a better one. Food was mediocre, from fresh side only salad, cucumber, tomato and raw bell pepper. If you don't go early, all the food will be mostly out(eaten), and you can see empty buffet plates. Kids who wanted milk for cereal, got it only from coffee machine - and made a queue. Juice was thick(not diluted), personally made omelet tasted amazing. About front desk - No infomation about lunch, dinner, towel rent or room service prices weren't given. When we wanted to order room service (because they left a pamplet for this in the room), the phone in the room didn't work. Then went to front desk to order food (because it as national holiday and city restaurants were closed), a older lady told us that they don't offer us room service. She offered buffet lunch for 250dirham (but we already knew it was 200 actually). Towel rent service didn't speak even one word of english next to the pool. Hotel in general looks amazing and beautiful, many small moroccan style luxurious details and places to take pictures in, but the room (specifically bathroom) quality needs a touch up already. Also, we really missed a water kettle in the room. We would definitely visit again, but recommend for the hotel to print out information pamplets for restaurant and hotel times/prices/services for the customers.

Most of my review is negative so I am placing the redeeming quality of this place first: The breakfast staff was amazing. They were very attentive amd if you needed anything then they would do their best to get it for you. The property was described as being in the tourist zone but yet it was a 30 minute walk to get to the tourist attractions. You can tell that the hotel was beautiful at one point but it has not been maintained. During check-in we waited in line for about 20 minutes to check in, they offer you mint tea while you wait and there were musicians in the lobby. Once we got to the counter we were rudely informed we needed to complete forms and get back in line. They could have provided the forms while we waited in line instead of making us get back in line. Our room was on the first floor. The sliding door did not close. We were informed maintenance would come by to repair but after 20 minutes later we were still waiting. This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. Mohammad at the reception was told by me multiple times that since the rooms were not connecting and I had small children I did not want the second room and I wanted a refund. He said he would take care of it so I returned my key to the second room to him. I kept making sure they did it each day and him and a guy named Yusuf kept saying ‘no problem sir, we will take care of it’. Then when I checked out they said they will not take care of it and said I didn’t return the key. This place is a joke and I would never recommend anyone ever go there. Ruined the stay in an amazing city.

This property needs a complete refurbishment as when checked in the so called 5 star property did not have any facilities in the room except the bed and closet.... the sink in the bathroom was clogging so as the shower tub... hardly any options to eat for vegetarian’s on hote menu. When called on room service or reception 9 out of 10 they won’t pick up the phone.... you will not get any wifi in the room so u need to go to the reception to get the good internet.... I think this should be 2 or max 3 star hotel...

No heat, it was freezing. WiFi didn’t work in the room, tv had static instead of cable, no lock on the door, mold around the tiles in the shower, and no waters or minibar anything in the room. Old towels that were no longer white or soft. Only good thing was the bed - very comfortable and clean. Everything else is extremely outdated, not taken care of and not very clean. The staff did move us to another room after we complained and gave us bottled water and a heater that sort of worked, but it still was not up to even three star ratings.

This is place is on the cheaper end of semi luxury hotels. The location is just fine if you have a car(Free parking) or don’t mind taking a 10min taxi into town (ask for price first). There are some horrible reviews which scared me. The hotel is nice but the rooms are not that nice but they are just fine. Not horrible. Cmon it’s Morocco. You want a luxury hotel, you’re gonna need to pay $200 plus per night. I paid $50 and got a giant pool. Not so great service though, my check in experience was horrific. But it’s ok, I survived. If you’re not super picky because I’m kinda picky, don’t try to budget, get the $500 per night stay and call it a day ;) .

I stayed at agadir first and came to Marrakesh expecting high expectations as this is a five star hotel but I preferred the service at my agadir hotel much better which was four star. As soon as we pulled up to the hotel I was expecting someone to help with the bags which they didn’t. Then I was waiting in the que to check in and they only had one reception staff when the hotel is massive and has more than 3000 rooms. Having one reception staff was a joke waited like half an hour to check in and when I saw the other staff member just walking around the desk I had to question her whether or not she can serve us only then she started serving others. Then we was questioned on whether or not the hotel is paid for or not already which I showed them the confirmation of and she started arguing with me that she was hundred percent sure it wasn’t paid for and then later apologised when she looked further into it that it was paid for. I receive such a bad service from the ladies at reception also when I entered my room our curtain wasn’t closing completely so I didn’t really get much of good night sleep in that hotel and when I told the reception about this she goes the curtains are like this already.

Got sick while I was there...room service may have poisoned my tea...had to leave property, felt threatened. Heard profanity in room next to me about...f#%$ her hard and slow...someome crawling on hands and knees above room...easy to break into rooms with wood coverings and 4 holes for hands to lift wood cover when you sleep to drug rape and rob you as soon as you enter your room...look above your head...Do not stay here...especially as a single woman...have 3 people and then OK...Remember the hotel has KEYS TO ENTER ROOM SAFES AND STEAL CASH...FRONT COVERS CAN BE REMOVED TO BYPASS YOUR CODES.

Not a 5* at all, they charged extra for using the pool and gym. No room service menu, the whole room was so dirty the bathroom was in a terrible condition. They put me in a wrong room. No shower robes not enough towel. The mattress was rock solid hard. The bedsheets had hair and it was dirty. I kept sneezing as I’m allergic to dust. It was a nightmare could not sleep all night. Staff members are rude. Do not be fooled by the ratings I think they paid and got the 5* rating somehow. So disappointed must avoid if you don’t want to get ill.

Live cockroaches in bathroom - terrible air conditioning. Broken shower. Asked to move but no manager was on duty until noon next day. Checked out first thing next morning.

The place itself is nice. The reception on the other hand is very annoying. They never answer the phone if you dare call them. I tried different timings, it's always busy. At check in, they just left me to discover where my room is on my own and try to find their second reception. I got lost and had my luggage with me, it was such an annoying check-in experience. Other than the reception and its staff, the rest of the place is good. Try not to need anything from the reception staff and you'll have fun.

Registration desk understaffed, check-in too slow. Room's condition and furniture require renovation. Serious bathroom's plumbery problems. Clogged sink, takes a while for water to drain. Bathtub clogged too, for good, after a single shower. I stayed just for a single night and water have not drained at all at the time of check-out. WiFi connexion too weak if not inexistent. Only thing I could appreciate was meals (excellent quality, taste, and variety), although waiters were slow.

The hotel did not respond to numerous inquiries before check in. This was a big warning sign on how they care about their customers. I was checked in a room that cannot even belong to a 3-star hotel and after a big argument I was move to a better room. The reception staff need a lot of training on how to deal with and address customer issues and complaints. The WiFi in this hotel is horrible and cannot support basic business customer needs. The cleanliness needs to be taken more seriously. The staff in general need to be trained much better on how to deal with customers more appropriately (it is a business not a family gathering) even though some of them are quite friendly.

The public grounds are very beautiful, but the rooms need urgent remodelling. I had issues with the bathroom and the linen needs replacing. Also, something odd happened: I closed and bolted the door to my room when I went to bed at 23:00; when I woke up at 06:30, the door was ajar. Nothing was missing, but it is still odd that someone opened the door to my room during the night. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Very spacious property with large stunning outdoor pools (not heated ), gardens, terrace for breakfast. Great breakfast choice. Nice welcoming stuff. Welcome tea was nice too. Indoor pool is much smaller and paid (100Dhr), even for the hotel guests. Sauna & hammam - also charged separately.

Service is not part of the plan for guests at this rundown hotel. No respect for guests and the time waiting for simple service. The hotel has the dirtiest carpeting in the halls I have ever seen. Simple never cleaned! Lucky the room floors are not carpeted as they would be filthy as well.

Place was Huge but that's as far as ot got, staff only talk in French & have no interest in speaking English, the place is dated & not much in a way of Facilities.. has a shuttle service to the Square, which i must say was a plus coz the Hotel us practically in the middle of know where! For what you pay, definitely a disappointment, with No water, kettle provided either. Just so you know, there is a Carrefour 10min walk, near the Mizzare.

The reception is beautiful and the guest relations guy is very friendly however the rest of the staff don’t have the same enthusiasm. The Rooms were basic, no kettle in the room just a fridge. There was no information leaflet in the room in regards to where things were, times for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Even the fire escape instructions were in french or Arabic. The food was sub standard. The price in which I paid for I expected better quality food and variations. The price was definitely not worth it

Dirty. Rude and arrogant staff. I would not recommend. We were asked for our marriage certificate. When we did not have it on us were asked to pay for another room! We were not allowed to sleep together. Ridiculous money grabbing company.

Hi, I have stayed at this hotel for a 3 night, the hotel are very nice and very spacious, the room was clean, have very good shopping and shower gel also body do you lotion. The breakfast was great and they have too many options you can choose. However, I was not happy with hairdryer and I requested one that was to go to long! After I complained to the manager then they provide me one hairdryer that was only the negative I didn’t like it!

One of my worst hotel experiences. No hot water in my room. I actually checked out early out of frustration after having asked for the hot water situation to be resolved. Wasn’t prepared to move to a 4th room. Internet wifi was spotty at best. Could not effectively work from my room. Pool looked nice but was unheated so never used. Food was good and the hammam experience lovely.

This is a huge, sprawling, hotel, with two of lots of things (two lobbies, two outdoor pools, two breakfast/lunch rooms, and so on). Maintenance is spotty (e.g. the toilet roll holder was missing in my room, and a towel rail kept falling off the wall). But it is nice, scenic. Breakfast is good if not outstanding. The staff are nice, and helpful. The local area is boring, alas -- but it's a short taxi ride into the center (be sure to establish the price first). Hotel is dry (no bar, no alcohol) but the hotel next door isn't, by the way. WiFi is spotty; very poor in some rooms (21xx where I was, 31xx for my friends) but fine in other areas.

Called twice $ finally had to walk to the front desk to get towels. Internet only in lobby. Air conditioning broken in room, only blew hot air for three days. Could not move because they didn’t have same room type available. Charged 70 Euros more at check out for local taxes, said Hotels.com website was wrong. Claimed different tax rate applied to different guests.

Hotel shouldnt be 5* . The max i give it is 2* . Resons are , room need alot of tlc , new beds too , for a 5* hotel u expect some magasines or info about the town ur visiting , there was no shampoo or soap or toliet paper when checked in . Its just like a 2* hostel . Just very basic . Breakfast was good . Dinner was basic and wasnt good and expensive .

Very nice pool and gardens. Big rooms. Service unpersonal because it is a very big hotel. Needs renovation in the rooms. Shuttle is small when there are many visitors, so you have to be there in advance if you want to take a place.

I am not sure what are these pictures. they definitely don't represent the place. the staff was so rude. the place was unclean. pool lol no space to swim. nothing like a place, not even 1 star ... I WANT A REFUND ASAP. SO SO SAD TO HAVE WASTED MY VALUBAL VACTION TIME.

With the exception of one reception and one housekeeping staff member - I do not recommend this hotel at all. The rooms are big but the beds are very uncomfortable and everything is very old. Do not order room service at this hotel you run the risk of food poisoning. We ordered a meal 26/12 paid on card 310 MAD (31 Euro for 2 dinner) it arrived uncooked and we sent it back. The second meal also came undercooked so went to reception to show the food. My partner was angry as we had waited 1.5 hours for food and two mishaps. He could not get the money back yet we didn’t eat it! They will tell you every story under the sun. The managers are so rude and treat their staff very bad. As a customer do not try and complain to a manager especially not the reception manager or he will shout at you and belittle you. Worst 5 star hotel ever. Never again!

Customer services and hospitality was extremely poor. Balconies lock from the inside and there is no sign to indicate how easy it is to become locked out. I was locked out for over 45 minutes and did not receive direct assistance from the hotel. Food, quality and amenities are poor.

Entrance was impressive, but sadly when you have rude and obnoxious reception staff the experience is ruined. We actually left - losing our money already paid to Expedia - and booked another motel. We had another guest come up to us and say their room had a broken shower and they had refused to move them or fix it. Its run down. Prices are totally over the top for Marrakech. Its isolated and means you need a taxi to go anywhere and they overcharge for the taxi. We were also informed that they charge for things without asking. The other guest told us 60US for a coke and a tea! Not worth the risk of staying there. Go to Morrocan House Hotel. They are fantastic. Not 5 star but nor is Mogodor Palace.

Problem in check in if you book with Expedia Make Sure that you get the bill for tourist tax and keep it because i have to pay it twice and don't Bader to ask for a manager he will not help at any way It's a shame that this kind of hotel hire that low-end standard staff for the check in and check out.

When I check out the hotyle they make me pay again the stay, so I ended pay twice the same hotel. Once through Hotels.com when I booked in internet and the other one when I checked out. I tried to explian them in reception and show them the Hotels.com documents but they did not care and wanted the money in their account. Until now, nothing has been explained to me so far.

A little dated tv in room not good. Just few channels worked maybe 5 cracked tiles on floor and little grubby staff very good food was great and breakfast. Could do with a lift but I would stay again if price is right. Great swimming pool and large. Tiles all over can be very slippery on a wet day need to be extra cautious
