Recomendado.

Wonderful location and staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner was superb and authentic. They also arranged a tour guide named Mustafa who grew up in the neighborhood and was knowledgeable and wonderful. Without his tour we would never had understood Fez (Fes) and Morocco!

The staff went out of their way across the board. They were accommodating when one of us was sick and made extra tea. I have spent a month in Morocco and this has by far been my favorite stay. I would most definitely recommend staying here. Food was good. Location ideal. The terrace was very nice. Thank you to the staff! We loved it.
Cons: Basically nothing. Our room was probably the only one with street noise because it was right over the main door, but with ear plugs it was fine. The rest of the Riad seemed to be very quiet and tranquil. The beds were hard for my liking, but they gave me a man extra blanket to sleep on top of, which was fine.

When we entered the main hall of Riad Dar Laura, we said, “Woooow”. And then we were very impressed, as everything was amazing. Great location, nice rooms, beautiful terrace where we could have our meals or Moroccan tea, and—what stole our hearts—amazing people who take care of this place. The hospitality we met there was beyond any of our expectations. If we are ever back in Fes, it is clear where we will stay with no doubts!

The riad was very beautiful and well restored. The rooftop is a hidden gem. The elevator was hugely helpful to get our luggage up to the top floor. Oumaima was really helpful to give us an overview of the city and arrange a hammam appointment at an authentic local spa. They also arranged our early morning taxi to the airport.

From the moment Imane met us at Riad Dar Laura, we knew that we had chosen the perfect riad for our stay in Fes. The physical features of this stunning riad are just as we had imagined, featuring beautiful tile and traditional decor. The rooftop terrace is a large and lovely bonus space to relax and soak up the sun. The location is just outside the old medina walls and a driver could take us right to the door of the riad, eliminating the need to put your luggage in a cart and race behind a porter down the narrow derbs to your accommodation. The staff is what makes Riad Dar Laura even more of a gem. Imane organized a walking tour, a day trip to Chefchaouen, and a cooking class at the riad with chef Douae. See our happy faces below! Oumaima and all the staff were eager to help, answer questions and provide as much mint tea and amazing riad-baked cookies as we desired. We dined two evenings at the riad and both meals were over-the-top plentiful and delicious as were the breakfasts which were included with each night's stay. The full breakfast (not continental) kept us going all day. We were sad to leave Riad Dar Laura. We felt like we were part of a family there. Riad Dar Laura is a special place. You will know what I mean when you step inside.
Cons: There is not one thing about Riad Dar Laura that we didn't like. We are seasoned travelers, and it is our practice to provide fair and accurate reviews of our experiences. I cannot give enough praise to Riad Dar Laura, its owners and staff.

We stayed in this huge Dar with a beautiful courtyard and spacious rooms for 2 nights. The staff and the owner were all wonderful and hospitable. We loved the breakfast so much that we placed a last-minute order for some special menu items for dinner. Loved our 3-course meal of Moroccan salad. seffa and a unique dessert. The location is excellent with good options to eat nearby. The walk from the bus or cab stops is a short one which makes it a very convenient place to stay. There are 4 floors including the terrace but they do have an elevator to take the bags up which was a huge help!
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was very dim but I am positive that won't be an issue as the owner assured us it would be taken care of. It's a wonderful place and we loved our short stay here.

Very beautiful riad, nicely furnished, good location in the medina but not in the crowded center, nice terrace where the breakfast is served. At first we were given a room on the ground floor with entrance straight from the riad’s courtyard. It was very loud but we asked to change the room and there was no problem, staff was very helpful and understanding.
Cons: When we arrived to the given location we were greeted by the staff and someone took our luggage without asking. We thought it was the service provided by the hotel. However it turned out it was some local porter who only carried our luggage for max 30 meters to the hotel entrance (not to our room) and wanted to be paid but he had no coins, he then became very unpleasant and the whole experience wasn’t very nice

Staying at Riad Dar Laura was an amazing experience. the Riad is beautiful, the food is delicious and the people are amazing. The location is also great, right at the Medina. I totally recommend staying here and discover the beauty of fés.

Fantastic location, right on the edge of the old city (Medina) and easy to get to all the major things but still quiet enough to be away from the hustle and bustle.

During the time of our visit, March 2024, the Riad had only been open five months. Mohammed, part owner was exceptionally caring. The Riad is entirely restored & renovated with meticulous attention to detail. The woodwork is absolutely beautiful along with the detailed Moorish plasterwork. Truly a work of art to enjoy. A warm, friendly staff to assist you with your needs and a special thanks to Imane, office manager, who helped with my many questions. Communication by message was excellent! On arrival, you are invited to relax with freshly brewed mint tea in the beautiful common room. Rooftop terrace to relax, enjoy a mint tea or dine with a great view over the city’s edge. A nice elevator on the premises. All tours/ experiences/ transport can be booked by Riad dar Laura as well as restaurants & guides to take you to your restaurants. Airport transports were reasonably priced, booked ahead & on time. We had a 2am departure that went smoothly. We requested a Medina guide for sights & quality shopping. We had Mohammed, (TripAdvisor: The Best Fes Guide,) with a lifetime of experience growing up in the Medina. You will be well taken care of. We also had a day trip to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss & Meknes with a private driver. My only recommendation for tours, ask the Riad who to pay at the end of your tour! We booked the last room available, the deluxe room. Unaware on our arrival, we were upgraded to the Superior Queen Room- Ghita. Gorgeous & large comfortable space on the main floor for easy access. Lovely bathroom with a large counter space, a blowdryer, shower & excellent lighting. Firm, comfortable mattress with three pillow choices for all sleeping needs and beautiful, comfortable linens. Two electrical outlets on each bedside with more available in the room. A lounging space with sumptuous couch upholstery and pillows with a light switch for brighter lighting in the nook- you’d miss the switch if you weren’t looking.
Cons: No negatives- Continued review- I recommend pajamas & winter jacket as the room and interior of the Riad gets cool yet the bedding was warm & pajamas are not needed. The bathroom was comfortably warm but fogs with a lasting humidity from your shower if the bathroom doors are not open. A wall ac unit is available for the summer. Breakfast is served to you in the morning. Sit down, enjoy your coffee as an assortment of goods are brought to your table along with fresh pressed orange juice. Dinner is available at the Riad as well, make your request & book ahead so they can prepare. On the edge of the Medina, perfectly located to get in & out of the city easily & quickly. Quiet!!! Taxis just around the corner along with atm, currency exchange, convenience shops and easy access restaurants to include Cinema Cafe- excellent camel burger & very good simple menu with fair pricing. We are a pair of well experienced & researched travelers. We can only recommend. Enjoy your stay at Riad dar Laura & well wishes to their future!!!

The location is perfect - in medina but you can reach the place by car and park the car 150m from the hotel safely. All interesting places in medina are in walking distance. The riad is large and has many rooms but at the same time you do not feel presence of the other people. It is nicely designed in a traditional way but it also has modern facilities like the lift inside. The rooms and the bed are very convenient. The team was always very nice and helpful and you could always feel owners hospitality. Breakfasts - excellent. Overall this is in my view clear 10.

This is the morocan surprise I have seen online, and experienced for the first time. Unassuming alleys lead you here, where you open the door and find the most beautiful hotel. Imaan and Mohamed welcomed us so very warmly, as we were invited to relax whilst our luggage was taken care of. Such intricate handwork all around, from the floor to the ceiling. Our early breakfast was delicious and so homely. Loved this stay and would recommend to anyone.

The staff and owner of this establishment went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care off. Their attention to detail was amazing. We enjoyed the freedom to eat our amazing breakfast at any time we wanted. It was always delicious and we felt like each day we were getting to experience a little bit more of the Moroccan food culture. We also loved the comfortable rooms and super powerful shower in the bathroom. The location is great for visiting the Fez medina. Taxis are right around the corner and the main routes in the medina are also close. They also will make you dinner if you ask them. We did this and it was 5 Stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Mohammed the owner speaks great English and has many years of serving foreign clients. His expertise is evident. The Riad also is installing an elevator which will help clients with mobility challenges. We will definitely be back in the future.

Would not recommend for families with young children. Probably OK for young couples used to backpackers. Excellent location and service did not make up for disappointing quality of rooms and bathrooms.

Good location a couple short blocks away from Bab Boujloud. Easy access to road. Hotel and the room I had was fairly dimly lit and was not nearly as swank as the photos on the hotels.com website suggest. Furniture was a bit dilapidated. LIke a wardrobe closet that listed forward so the door would not stay close, metal plating on a bedside table that jutted out dangerously. Would have been great if there was an electrical outlet next to the desk. Heat did not work the first night. I tried to turn on the A/C and the machine made horrendous noises. They kindly provided me with a space heater the next night. Bathroom shower head really needed new gaskets or something because the water was leaking and spraying every which way. Staff was quite nice. Breakfast was basic and a bit greasy. For the cost, I thought this was rather poor value but don't really have a point of comparison, as it is the only place I stayed in Fes.

We were greeted by the owner/ manager cordially but arrogantly. Abdul and the rest of the riad staff were however very lovely and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfasts here are fantastic and the rooms well cleaned and cared for- just don't ask the manager to recommend a restaurant. We arrived very late and wanted something light to eat, not the full tagine

The Riad had lovely hosts who helped us plan our guide for the Medina, a day trip to Meknes and Volubilis, and then a three day trip to the desert ending in Marrakech. The location of the Riadl made walking out by ourselves a little difficult. The hosts organised someone to walk with us to a close by hotel for an evening meal.

The stay here was great. They had really kind staff that were great at helping us get around. The Riad was also beautifully designed and maintained.

I cannot say enough about the hospitality and accommodations at this wonderful Riad. Stay here! It is very close to the medina (market), but not inside, where security and safety are more of an issue. The manager negotiated a second night at a very reasonable price. He also went out of his way to find licensed guides for touring the city and the medina at a very reasonable price. The food served at the Riad was very Moroccan, very tasty, and authentic. I felt like I was experiencing the real Morocco here at Dar Dmana, with all the luxuries one would ever need - especially that of confidence and trust in the management to make my stay enjoyable, safe, and a great bargain.

As seems to be the case with riads, we had a nice chat with the owner Rashid over tea upon our arrival. We had ordered a regular room and he upgraded us to a small suite with a window overlooking the central courtyard. The riad seemed to be relatively empty in April. It has a great location near the blue gate. We were able to park our car in a nearby garage for a few tens of dirhams. The hotel advertises free parking, but we got so lost driving into Fes at night that we had to be guided by a fellow on a motorycle, who handed us off to a tour guide, also named Rashid, who took us into the underground lot. Rashid the guide turned out to be very good, although we ended up going to a lot of shops, especially a carpet store and a leather store associated with the tannery. To be fair though, the carpet store and the tannery started with a tour, and the stuff on offer was very high quality, the tour was good and the people were fun and nice. Of course the asking price is always really high, and you have to negotiate. We always left with the feeling that we got a decent value, but that if we had bargained harder we could have gotten an even better deal. We spent a lot more money than we had planned. The reason I mention all this is that Rashid the riad owner may offer to get you a guide, etc. He also owns a tannery. You may be happy with his choice or not. We don't know, since we had contracted a guide before arriving at the riad.
