Nous remercions lâentièretĂŠ de lâĂŠquipe de lâhĂ´tel qui ont ĂŠtĂŠ au petit soin pour nous et en Particulier Azzeddine qui a su prendre en compte nos difficultĂŠs ( famille nombreuse avec 2 bĂŠbĂŠs) et qui nous a rendu le sĂŠjour plus facile en nous surclassant dans une chambre plus adaptĂŠ. Le personnel a ĂŠtĂŠ gentil et chaleureux et nous a toujours aidĂŠ. LâhĂ´tel est magnifique et bien placĂŠ avec une immense piscine. Je recommande.

Cons: We got half board and pre payed. I wouldnât recommend pre paying. When we got there the breakfast was underwhelming. The hygiene could have been much better. Especially because of the weather there was flies swarming the food outside. There should have had covers on the food. This is basic health and safety. The lunch and dinner menu was nice. This could have been compensated more as we were only allowed continental breakfast In the room . As you can imagine we PAID.

Cons: Le dejeuner Ă la piscine. La qualitĂŠ de la nourriture est tres bas de gamme qui ne va pas avec le prix et la beautĂŠ de l ĂŠtablissement. Mauvaise cuisine. Trop de monde autour de la piscine qui est trop petite pour le nombre de chambre. Les femmes qui servent le dĂŠjeuner sont mal aimables. Ainsi qu une partie du personnel qui fait parti de la rĂŠception du dĂŠpart.

Cons: Las instalaciones son buenas pero con falta de algĂşn restaurante al medio dĂa. Solo sirven en la piscina y con un menĂş muy escaso y deficiente. Si no eres cliente de piscina no hay otra opciĂłn. Al tener el vuelo a Ăşltima hora para nuestro destino, solicitamos poder ducharnos en alguna estancia destinada para ello, y aunque se nos confirmĂł, cuando llegĂł el momento no nos la proporcionaron. DespuĂŠs de insistĂ tuvimos que ir a las duchas del spĂĄ, con un espacio muy reducido y con falta de higiene por ser de mucho uso y con solo dos duchas. Fue muy incĂłmodo y con falta de empatĂa por parte del personal del Hotel. Aunque no es un servicio obligatorio, debe ser una opciĂłn para un Hotel de cinco estrellas, sobre todo, cuando se solicita y te lo confirman en recepciĂłn. Fue una pĂŠsima experiencia que deja un muy mal sabor de boca. Solicitamos un libro de reclamaciones, el cual es obligatorio en los hoteles y nos lo negaron. Por falta de tiempo ya decidimos dejarlo ahĂ.

Cons: The main issue was the reception and concierge service. I waited around an hour to check in and nobody really attended to me. During my stay, I asked for a few items and was told the concierge would arrange them, but I never received them and nobody followed up. I also found the reception staff to be quite cold and not very welcoming, which was disappointing considering how helpful the restaurant staff were.

Dès notre arrivĂŠe, alors que nous nâavions pas de rĂŠservation, nous avons ĂŠtĂŠ accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de professionnalisme par Zakaria et Touria Ă la rĂŠception. Ils ont pris le temps de nous aider, de trouver une solution rapidement et de nous mettre Ă lâaise. De manière gĂŠnĂŠrale, tout le personnel de lâhĂ´tel est exceptionnel. Que ce soit Ă la rĂŠception ou au restaurant, tout le monde est souriant, attentionnĂŠ et aux petits soins. On se sent vraiment bien pris en charge du dĂŠbut Ă la fin. Nothing, we left after 2 nights and was meant to stay the week
Cons: The staff left us for 3 hours waiting for a hair dryer to be bought to the room. Then when arrived they checked the room like was lying and then went back and got one. This took 3 hours and 45 mins and 4 calls. We missed our table reservation. We also had wet hello and brown stained towels. Pictures were taken. There was no service for food or drinks when around pool area.

We had a fabulous stay a special thank you to Mohamed who looked after us around the pool area We walked into the medina and souks on a number of occasions which was around 15 mins walk away Only negative was that staff around the pool were taking guests towels and belongings off sunbeds if they had left the area for a swim or to go into breakfast. I agree with not being able to reserve sunbeds but this felt a little extreme

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Sofitel Marrakech, which fell far below the standards expected of a property of this reputation. Firstly, the service was shockingly poor. I ordered a simple coffee, and despite repeated follow-ups, it took over an hour to arrive. This level of delay is unacceptable, especially in a hotel that claims to offer premium hospitality. Secondly, the lack of basic room service attention was evident. There was no turndown service provided until 5 PM, which is unusually late and disrupts the overall guest experience. This reflects a clear lack of organization and attention to detail. Most concerning, however, was a serious safety issue. A curtain rod fell on my head during my stay. Not only was this alarming and potentially dangerous, but the complete lack of concern or response from the staff afterward was unacceptable. There was no proper apology, no urgency, and no effort to address the situation in a professional manner. Overall, this experience was disappointing, frustrating, and concerning. I expected much better from Sofitel Marrakech, but unfortunately, the service, safety standards, and guest care were severely lacking.

Cons: Terrible arrival, waited 1hr 20 mins for check in to both rooms booked and had to just sit in reception in the heat. Wrong room type was blamed but I emailed 17 times the weeks prior to confirm twin beds. Got to the rooms finally then no towels, issues just went on an on, we asked over and over to speak to a Manager to formally complain but were just fobbed off with he will see us tomorrow, until we gave up! Service at the pool was very hit and miss if you weren't lucky enough to get a bed at the main pool the service was pretty much non existent, we waited 35 mins for ice, then 40 mins for a drink. We were overcharged twice at check out for both rooms, then had to carry our own luggage to the airport taxi as Front Desk seemed annoyed we pointed this out... Will not return again as this was by far the worst Sofitel experience to date and we had a very expensive suite for a birthday trip - such a shame :(

A beautiful resort close to the city centre. We had a stunning suite that was all we could wish for. Breakfast is very nice, a great buffet, quite busy at peak times so a short wait for tables but overall fine. A special mention to Hotesse oumaima and Setbi hicham who provided great service at and around the pool. Only feedback I have is they need menus as well as the QR codes, the QR codes are hard to access and read by phone. I expect better at this price point.

This was an excellent hotel. Morocco was a ton of fun. We had a really nice room. The pools was nice, and the breakfast was good. Staff were really nice. Good gym. Very central location. One recommendation to management, you had 8 people working in baggage services, but only three working to check people in. It took 20 minutes to check in, maybe swap those numbers. And I really don't want help with my bags, it takes longer and is more of a hassle. But they kept wanting to take my one small bag, it just isn't helpful. Maybe if I had a couple of large bags, but that is rare. Same with the Valet, they drove it 5 meters and parked it. I would have paid the same to park it myself. Instead, I had to wait 10 minutes for a car I could see right in front of me. It is just an inefficient process.

I had a really lovely experience at the hotel, and what truly made it special was Manal. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout my stay. She made me feel so comfortable and welcomed, like I was at home. Her professionalism and positive energy really stood out sheâs truly an asset to the hotelđĽ°đĽ° I would also like to mention the valet team, who were all very kind and helpful. The bellboys (luggage attendants) were also extremely friendly and professional ,they made everything so easy and pleasant. A special thanks as well to Oussama at reception for his warm and professional service. There was just a small moment with one of the door man at the entrance that made me feel slightly uncomfortable, but overall it did not affect my experience, as everyone else was very nice and welcoming. Thank you again for such a pleasant stay.

In the pool, we ordered a can of coke and were chased by waiters to pay 5 times inspite of telling them to put it on our room tab. Overall beautiful property but lack of warm hospitality and service. Wonât stay again. Not worth it.

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday as a group of 4 girls. The hotel is gorgeous and definitely 5 star, however the service is not. From the beginning we were not greeted and treated differently whether that was due to us being young or something else. We went to the pool and had to ask 2 workers for towels that took over 30 minutes to arrive, and no one checked if we wanted any drinks so we went up to the bar in which we were told she couldnât serve us it had to be one of the waiters around the pool. We finally found someone and our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. We went down to breakfast where we were asked our name and room number, but no one seated us, this meant no one asked us if we wanted hot drinks and we had to find someone, it then took 40 minutes to arrive for 2 cups of tea and a coffee. Throughout the stay we were receiving strange looks from workers and upon entering the hotel we were rudely questioned by security why we were there, to which we said we are staying here. This entire stay felt like we were chasing staff members around for the most basic requests. The worst part of our stay was when we were checking out, check out is 12pm and we went to get our bags at 11:20am from our room and our key cards had been deactivated. When we asked why this was we were given an excuse about the clocks changing due to Ramadan? If this is the case we should have been informed and we would have checked out earlier. When we checked out we were never asked how are stay was, to which we asked why and the receptionist said you didnât look like you wanted to talk, at this point we hadnât complained about anything so weâre unsure why this comment was made. He then got the guest relations manager to come and speak to us. We expressed our concerns and she said she could offer us an upgrade on our next stay- we will never be staying here again.

While the hotel itself was aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained, the level of service fell significantly short of what would be expected from a five-star establishment. When we raised our concerns with a manager at the end of our stay, we were told to âpay the full price and get the full experience,â which suggested that guests staying in standard rooms may not receive the same level of service as those in higher-tier accommodations. This response was both surprising and very concerning. Service throughout our stay was inconsistent. At breakfast, we had to request tea and coffee on four separate occasions before it was provided. Similarly, drinks ordered by the pool took over 30 minutes to arrive. Requests for basic amenities, such as additional shampoo, were not fulfilled, requiring us to approach housekeeping staff directly. When entering the hotel we were informed by the doormen very rudely that bringing our own food and water into the hotel was not permitted. This was particularly disappointing, as we were simply carrying a bottle of water and some crisps for our journey home- just another way for the hotel to claim money off people? Overall, while the hotel has clear potential, the service standards require significant improvement before it can be considered truly five-star.

Good location & the hotel was overall very lovely. The atmosphere is very relaxed across the whole hotel, perhaps a little too relaxed sometimes as we noticed the service seemed to drop slightly each day. Rooms were of a good size and housekeeping came every day. Good value for money, however we only had one restaurant option as the second restaurant was being used for a buffet due to Ramadan. Obviously we understood this, but there was no advanced notice and the buffet was 850DH per person. Upon check in, you are required to pay a ÂŁ250 deposit, which was explained to us to be used to cover if/when we wanted to charge a meal or drink to our room. However, when we checked out we were shown a bill stating we owed 1400DH for the meals/drinks we had charged to the room throughout the stay. Confused by this, we thought weâd exceeded the ÂŁ250 deposit but the check out reception desk told us differently and the ÂŁ250 deposit is just used to cover any damages to the room. We went to the check in reception to ask when the money would be refunded to us and they couldnât tell us a time period. 5 days later and we are still waiting.

Overall we had a good short stay here. Location is good. Itâs only an hours walk to the airport, 20 minutes to the Medina and there are several restaurants in the local area. Although we were never told, I think we got an upgraded room which was traditionally furnished and felt in-keeping with the local area. It was sparklingly clean and fresh. Toiletries lovely. A reasonable selection of teas and coffee but could have done with extra milks/creamers. We mostly ate through in-room dining due to Ramadan restrictions. This was always delivered within the times specified, well presented and tasty. Delivering staff were very friendly. One of the outdoor pools is heated so even though the weather was cooler than expected, we still made use of the pool which is large, well kept and well staffed. Staff serving the outdoor area and lobby bar were also friendly and helpful. Being platinum members with Accor comes with certain benefits, one of which is early check in and late check out when available. We requested both with different staff but both were quickly and bluntly refused even though they were available. Only after robustly challenging the refusals were they eventually granted. Just all a bit of a faff that we could have done without. So a frustrating start and end to our short stay but everything in between was lovely. Thank you.

This is not up to Sofitel standards at all! Its a 1960 hotel looking like a neocolonialist French wannabe! Needs lots of love and attention , in fact at total rebuild to bring it into 2026. Sofitel have an image - this will kill it! Restaurants - Ok it's Ramadan and they have combined two but the food is just terrible - I sent back two dishes. Basics like a simple chicken dish - better to eat Amazon packaging. Not very impressive at all. Don't eat here - many better restaurants even within walking distance. Prices for say wine are ridiculous in my opinion versus local top notch restaurants Staff appear incapable of taking decisions re issues - have to refer to xyz and xyz says why are you taking to me!

There are so many things not right with this hotel. Firstly check in was slow and we were kept in the dark, having been told to wait. A cup of mint tea was appreciated by me, but my wife doesn't drink tea and there was no alternative. No one spoke to us until I asked what was happening. Then we discovered that l'Orangerie, their Ă la carte restaurant was only doing buffet throughout Ramadan, and at 800MAD pp. Had we known, we wouldn't have booked this hotel at all. There is no alternate restaurant, the other eatery is an Asian night club style venue. And it is difficult to walk to any others from the Sofitel. Even while we are here, there's no mention that the restaurant isn't operating normally. At breakfast today, the service was simply hopeless. I complained but little was done. Yesterday it was ok! This is a seriously expensive 5* hotel. The weather here has been awful which cannot be helped, but the topping up of coffee and milk in the rooms which we've been drinking to keep warm, has only happened when I've requested it, and hasn't been done automatically at all. Frankly this hotel seems to be living on its past reputation, not its current performance. Very disappointed and if we weren't on a package holiday, I'd have left and gone elsewhere.

It is a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds. On arrival we sat down with a cold drink and given papers to sign which prohibited guests from bringing in any food or drink of any description. When questioned this included any water one may have bought while out and about and any gifts [food or drink] purchased to take home. It did seem that all they were interested in how much money they could extract from us. We asked the Concierge about tours and we were quoted some outrageous prices for 3-4 hours which he said had to be paid in in cash in euros. This is the first time in a Sofitel that we have not been able to pay by credit card. On our third night at the hotel in the next door room there were teenage children which were without parental guidance and who were left to run feral ALL night. The parents were staying in another part of the hotel !!!! They shouting and banging in the room and running down the corridors literally ALL night. We called the Reception twice to complain and ask them to stop and as far as we are aware no action was taken. After a night of NO sleep the following morning we asked to be moved and this was the start of total inaction as they said they could not give us another room until after noon when checkout had taken place. In the afternoon we were offered an alternative room on a lower floor when they gave us the key we realised it was directly underneath the children's room which they denied but it was and when we were shown it we could hear the children the above. We again asked to be moved to a quiet room and were shown a grotty room way in the depths of the hotel and not at the level we had paid for. In the end we sat in Reception until they gave us an equivalent quiet room which miraculously arrived which they could have given us from the start and saving all the angst. There we no apology - not even a glass of wine. Needless to say we would not stay there again and we are extremely disappointed with the Sofitel especially we are are silver members. It is an expensive hotel and the prices of drinks etc reflect that.

De vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van het personeel was unaniem goed. Fijne locatie qua buurt voor Marakech. Hier kan je ongestoord rondwandelen in een buurt waar het netjes is en op 20 min kom je dan in een totaal andere wereld terecht. Fijn liggen aan de zwembaden, die door de vele afscheidingen een zeer rustig gevoel geeft. Zeer verzorgd hotel, superlekker eten in de restaurantjes, fenomenaal ontbijt. Een hotel die we meteen opnieuw zouden boeken. Wel viel ons op dat er veel te veel personeel rondloopt naargelang het werk dat er uitgevoerd wordt.

They asked us to have a seat while they will do everything for the chick in. Our suite where spacious with breathtaking view of Marrakesh and Atlas Mountains. We always come back to a super clean room. We tried their breakfast and was reaaly so good. Must mention that all staff at the hotel were attentive and well trained. Definitely recommended and would love to come back here again.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay. At check-in, I was clearly informed that breakfast was included in my reservation. However, after my first breakfast, I was asked to sign a bill for the meal. This immediately raised concerns, so I went back to reception to clarify the situation. A different staff member checked my booking and confirmed that breakfast was indeed included and reassured me that the signature was only required for internal accounting purposes to track the number of breakfasts served. Based on this explanation, I continued to have breakfast during my stay without concern. Unfortunately, at check-out, I was charged for both breakfasts. This is completely unacceptable. eview Today is February 23rd, and my wife daughter and I have been at the hotel for two nights and unfortunately have two nights remaining. I never write reviews, but have trusted so many TripAdvisor reviews in the past and therefore I wanted to pay it forward. Also, all of my complaints have already been discussed with the manger, however I have yet to receive a response either positive or negative. We were excited to begin our Marrakech experience in our 2 bedroom suite. The additional space was going to be a godsend after spending the last 7 days traveling around Morocco and staying in lovely accommodations, but not necessarily always the most spacious to our little family. However, our negative experience at the Sofitel began upon entering the room. The second bedroomâs window was not closed, and the noise from the street prompted us to look. Upon inspection, it wasnât shut all the way and unfortunately could not be without a call to maintenance. A quick call and a few minutes later, they arrive and tell me they have fixed the problem. However, upon inspection the window was in fact not closed and a trip to reception to complain followed. I was assured that they will resolve the window while we dined in the restaurant. Our reservation was not for an hour and allowed us time to get ready. This is where things really went off the rails. The toilet room smelled of urine and a pile of pubic hair lay in the corner, the shower smells of raw sewage and the tub filled with hairs. What else wasnât cleaned we wonder. Another trip to reception, again told they will address the window and clean our room while we are at dinner. Dinner, well they served food. What was described at check in as French-Moroccan fusion with everything Al a carte, in fact was not. It was $240 buffet for a family of 3 of inedible warm slop best served at your high school cafeteria. The highlight was the baguettes which were excellent. The low point was getting yelled at by several waiters when attempting and failing to order a Coke for my daughter and a glass of wine for my wife. The Coke never arrived. The icing on the cake was when i complained to the manager about the quality of food and service i was told it was our taste in food and not the food itself. This is our second trip to Morocco eating only Moroccan food at places the locals eat and never once had a bad meal (had somethingâs that were not our taste) and never bad service. This was an exciting first few hours at the hotel. Only to find that our room was not cleaned or fixed. However, they would send someone right away. Well they came they saw and as i anticipated the window was in fact broken. They were able to find another room, that it happens the window also wonât close (and i was told it is closed, itâs a different type of window) we settled as it wasnât going to get any better and happy to say appeared clean. This is when we went to pack up our suitcases to have them moved, that the duty manager was sure to scold me for breaking the window. In his words the window wasnât broken when he did his check earlier in the day. After showing him the pictures and videos of the noise with a time stamp shortly after checking in he relented , and would note it in his report to the manager who would be expecting me in the morning to discuss the issues and a resolution. No apology or recognition he was wrong. The morning came, and I went to see the manager. Unsurprisingly, it was the first she heard of it and will be back to me with a resolution. Also unsurprisingly more than 24 hours later, i have yet to hear anything. A couple of additional notes: Unlike anywhere else we have stayed in Morocco, unless with speak fluent French or Arabic expect to be treated as an inconvenience. The room service staff has screamed at me twice while ordering breakfast, and for dinner last night left items in the kitchen. While eventually resolved just insult to injury at this point. Further, service around the pool for us poor at best, though at least they eventually show up with your order. In short, Iâm looking forward to checking out and moving into our next location and hotel. Then Sofitel is not on the level of The Fairmont, the Ritz or the various Riads we have stayed at during this trip and our prior to Morocco. If management reads this review please reach out. Iâm still here and would welcome updating this review to provide a resolution.

hmmm, book this hotel for its perfect location, safety, cleanliness and accommodation. Just don't expect great staff service. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were welcomed to sit and were provided cookies and moroccan tea. We gave them our passport. This is nice I thought. We waited about 30 minutes to be checked in however. Everytime we looked at the desk, there were a million things going on. It gave the old "hurry up and wait" effect. After 40 minutes, it felt as chaotic as the old city. Once we were in our suite, we could relax. The room was clean and beautiful. The grounds and pool: gorgeous! Perfect location just a 20 minute stroll to the Medina. I loved that we could get away from the bustle but still get to all of the city highlights in less than 15 minutes on foot or taxi. In the evening we couldn't find the concierge. Hard to find people at the desk. I called the front desk several times and the phone just rings. When leaving the hotel, the door man asked where we were going and told us a couple of additional places followed by asking us for a tip. I've NEVER been asked for a tip by hotel staff before. It made us feel like we couldn't ask any of the staff a question if we had no cash to pay for a tipped response. Breakfast buffet was a nightmare. There were just 2 people making coffee for hundreds of people. Drip coffee or a coffee machine would have been better. It was as chaotic as the souks. We got our coffee after we already had food. It was cold since it sat on their crowded counter while the server ran around the whole place. He didn't bring us cream or sugar which we asked for and by the the time we could get his attention we were ready to escape back to our room. We knew at that point that we would not eat lunch or dinner in their restaurants. I recommend Breakfast at Las Terrazas de Andalucia which is a block away from hotel, has excellent food, service, and ambiance for half the price. Check out had an equally chaotic process.

Disappointed with the level of engagement and customer service received. Everything felt like hard work, from getting towels around the pool, to ordering drinks and snacks, to housekeeping not leaving bath towels in the room and despite asking twice and being reassured they would be delivered to room never arrived. Breakfast selection although a vast array, was not frequently maintained and therefore had poor availability. A poor experience and poor value for money. Would not return and would instead return to the Hivernage hotel located across the road. I wish I had received the level of customer service that other reviews have experienced

Great location. Staff professional. Lovely clean pool area. Rooms are comfy and bed is huge! The security staff outside the complex were a little harsh. Wouldnât let us bring in a bottle of wine and a beer. We wanted a celebratory drink in our room for my birthday.. we had been eating in the hotel for last few days and drinking so seemed a bit mean. Also the guards seems to favour â high end â guests .. one of them literally was blocking my exit from the hotel entrance gates to let a car in the gates. Aside from this security man , everything else was a pleasant stay. The spa was lovely and the massage we had was relaxing. Gym is ok and has most equipment for a work out however it is very hot . Sadly the sauna was not working so we didnât make use of spa area after our massage. Pool food good but service quite slow and had to keep finding someone to order. Weirdly some staff came round with complimentary juice one afternoon however only served a handful of guests and didnât make it over to our side of the pool. Mainly French residents here. There was also a huge Jewish wedding so our first few nights of sleep were kept awake by the noise from their celebrations. We were over looking the pool so could hear it until 4/5am. Also a bit of noise on the last day of the wedding as staff were taking down the huge tower stage so lots of banging whilst trying to relax by the pool. The room mini fridge was never stocked up nor was the tea and coffee in our room, we asked for some on 3rd day and was brought some more along with some fresh whole fruit as an apology. Also when we made the booking 3 months ago we mentioned it was a special occasion for my 50th but nothing was made of it which is disappointing.

Our stay at Sofitel Marrakech was exceptional from start to finish. From the very moment you walk through the doors, youâre struck by how luxurious and calm the hotel feels. The reception area is beautiful, and the welcome is genuinely warm and attentive & you immediately feel looked after. The rooms are spacious, contemporary, and beautifully appointed. The food across the hotel is excellent. Each restaurant offers something different, but all are consistently good - both in quality and atmosphere. The bar deserves a special mention: fantastic cocktails, excellen service & tfood, and a brilliant live music every evening - performing english, moroccon, jazz, arabic music. We went most nights and loved hearing them perform The pool area is stunning and incredible. Several pools and lots of places to chill. The weather got to around 20c, so during the day you could chill on the sun beds. Overall, this is a hotel that gets every detail right. Luxurious without being stuffy, relaxed without losing its polish. We wouldnât hesitate to return.

La SEULE PERSONNE aimable qui a bien voulu me repondre c'est Monsieur AHMED du check out. Quelle agreable surprise !! Comme par.magie une des responsables lui a donne la reponse qu elle m'avait refusĂŠe. Je vous avoues que c'est frustant et enrrageant de vivre une telle experience : payer aussi cher un hotel ou le personnel n'a aucune estime pour le client. Ca depasse l.entendement ! I stayed at the Sofitel Marrakech for four nights and came away with mixed feelings. The hotel itself is very nice, and the location is excellent â close to the main square and conveniently central for getting around Marrakech. I arrived a few hours early, and the staff politely explained that the hotel was very busy and check-in is at 3pm. This was completely fair. We had lunch by the pool, and when I returned to reception around 2pm, I was told that our room was ready. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a balcony overlooking the road. While the room was spacious and comfortable, itâs worth noting that this side can be quite noisy at times. The staff were generally very polite; however, some did not speak English. On a few occasions, when we asked for something, staff would respond with yes or okay but nothing would follow. It was only when we managed to speak to someone who spoke English or spoke to someone else that the issue was resolved. My biggest frustration relates to the pool facilities. When booking, the hotel website advertises three pools, including an indoor pool. However, it is not made clear that the indoor pool is part of the spa and costs around ÂŁ20 to use each time, unless you book a spa treatment, in which case you can use it for one hour before or after. While I donât have an issue with being charged, I feel this information should be clearly stated on the website, as I have never stayed at a hotel that charges separately to use its pool. That said, I did use the indoor pool once, and it is very nice â warm, relaxing, and well maintained. Of the outdoor pools, the main pool is not heated. The smaller heated pool can only be used between 10amâ12pm and 3pmâ6pm, which again is not clearly communicated on the website. Breakfast was included in our stay and was acceptable, though very French-focused. An Asian section would have been a welcome addition. We also had dinner once at SO Lounge, which I didnât enjoy. The food was just okay, and the venue is more like a nightclub, with loud music and very low lighting, which isnât ideal for a relaxed dinner. Overall, the Sofitel Marrakech is a nice hotel with a great location, and I didnât experience any major issues beyond the above. However, for the price paid per night, I have stayed in better hotels with superior service and facilities at a lower cost.

Cons: Breakfast was with many options but being a vegetarian options were limited. Food was cold. I asked for items to be heated. Cold mornings required hot food. Health hazard if food is not kept at right temperature for consumption. Egg counter needed to understand vegetarian requirements so understanding of wiping counter before use is important. I also am sure my sunnies was left in the room. When I called in they said house keeping could not find it. Poor assistance from front desk.

Und das Beste: unsere gebuchte Suite hatte wohl Blick auf den Atlas, davor eine Hauptstrasse mit sehr, sehr viel Verkehr und das Allerbeste: gleich gegenĂźber eine Fanmeile fĂźr den Africa Cup, der momentan gespielt wird - d.h. ca. von 13.00 Uhr bis 23.00 Uhr ein fĂźrchterlicher Lärm mit ohrenbetäubender Musik. Die Fenster sind natĂźrlich auch nicht von bester Qualität! Wir sind der Meinung, dass man den Kunden solche aussergewĂśhnliche Situationen erklären mĂźsste - unter diesen Umständen hätten wir im Sofitel nie gebucht.

Very slow check in process, after waiting so long the employee left as her work time finished and we had to wait for the new shift , the room was worn out the carpet was not clean , smells cigarette, I asked for iron 3 time and arrived 1 hour later , they changed our rooms to cleaner but smaller rooms , the staff was very nice but they do not handle services professionally

Wonderful stay â outstanding service, spa & dining We had a truly wonderful stay at Sofitel Marrakech. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The spa was absolutely amazing. We had incredible treatments by Shauna and Ilham, and our hammam treatment with Asma was exceptional â relaxing, professional, and truly memorable. My husband and I also had fantastic evenings at LâOrangerie. Every night there was live entertainment with a brilliant dancers and an incredibly talented singer who performs in multiple languages. The atmosphere each evening was vibrant and elegant. The staff at LâOrangerie are outstanding â the waiters are professional, attentive, and genuinely top-quality. A special mention to Nadia, the hostess, who does an amazing job maintaining such a high standard of service and ensuring guests feel truly looked after. We stayed on a half-board basis, and the food was of Michelin-level quality. Every evening was something we genuinely looked forward to, both for the cuisine and the experience. A perfect stay â we would absolutely return and highly recommend Sofitel Marrakech.

I checked in to Sofitel Marrakech Palais ImpĂŠrial & Spa on 18th December for a five-night stay, and overall my experience was very positive. From the moment I arrived, the hotel made a strong first impression. The property looked immaculate, very well maintained, and professionally staffed. The dĂŠcor throughout the hotel is modern and trendy, with a luxurious Moroccan touch that suits the brand well. At reception, I was greeted politely by the receptionist, who began the check-in process efficiently. We were asked to take a seat while the formalities were being completed. While waiting, I noticed that another couple checking in were offered welcome drinks, followed by additional refreshments. Unfortunately, this was not extended to us. As we did not have any luggage, I felt that some of the staff may not have immediately noticed that we were also checking in, and therefore the welcome drinks were overlooked. This did not cause any major inconvenience, and I am not complaining as such, but it would be nice if staff were a little more vigilant to ensure consistency in service for all arriving guests. Once check-in was completed, we received our room keys and were briefly shown the hotelâs restaurants before being directed to our room. The room itself was of a very good standard, clean, comfortable, and well equipped with all the essential amenities. The balcony offered a lovely view overlooking the pool area, which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we dined at the restaurant every morning. The breakfast offering was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh bakeries, traditional Moroccan dishes, and a solid European selection, including a full English breakfast. The variety catered well to different tastes. While the options were already very good, a small Asian section would have been a welcome additionâbut this is merely a suggestion, not a criticism. Most days we were out exploring the beautiful city of Marrakech and taking part in activities. Each evening when we returned to our room, housekeeping had done an excellent job. The room was always kept clean and tidy, with fresh towels and replenished tea and coffee supplies. Whenever we needed anything extra, the staff were extremely helpful and quick to send items to the room. A special mention must go to the breakfast service, which truly stood out. During our stay, we were consistently looked after by Iwachtan, who provided exceptional service every morning. He was incredibly kind, warm, and always smiling. What impressed me most was his attention to detailâbefore we even sat down, he would remember our usual drinks and ask if we wanted our regular latte and cappuccino, placing the order immediately. This level of personal care made us feel genuinely welcomed, almost like being at home among family. Sofitel is very fortunate to have such dedicated and professional staff members. Overall, I was very happy with the service and the experience at Sofitel Marrakech Palais ImpĂŠrial & Spa. I am normally an IHG member, but on this occasion, I decided to try something differentâand I am pleased with that decision. I would certainly consider staying here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality service, and a welcoming atmosphere in Marrakech.

Unfortunately a poor experience from start to finish, which was a real shame as the property itself is lovely and in a great location. The check in team at the arrival reception were rude and dismissive, which was obviously noticed by a number of guests who were all talking about it in the reception waiting area. We finally got assigned a room at gone 5pm, but were then disappoint to then discover the room was shabby and tired, with furniture obviously missing and stains on the sofa and carpet. As it was now getting late, and we were only staying a few days, we didn't mention the state of the room but instead headed off to dinner. When we returned we were surprised to find that money had disappear from the bedside table while we were out. The turndown service had come into the room despite the do not disturb sign being on the door. We reported it to reception first thing in the morning, and were told that it would be looked in to. There was no follow up, and when we asked the concierge and the people at reception what was happening about our issue, they said they had not been told about it and so there was nothing they could do. Bar staff in the grounds were equally unhelpful, constantly being pointed from one team to another when we just wanted to get a drink. We usually love our stays at Sofitel, but this one did not live up to the brand. Such a shame.

The hotel is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and exceptionally high cleanliness standards. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were truly outstandingâwarm, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, with friendly and professional service every morning. Special thanks to Setbi Hicham, Raouia Hamamsi Jamal, Kina Hamza, and Ikhder Ayoub for making our stay feel extra special. The location is perfect for couples, just a 15-minute walk to the Medina and around 20 minutes to Gueliz. With plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, and casinos, plus a strong police presence, the whole area felt very safe. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. A luxurious, relaxing, and perfectly located property with outstanding serviceâWe wouldnât hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at this hotel in early December 2025. It far exceeded my expectations. We had a suite, with a view of the gardens, that was luxurious and very spacious. The food at the hotel was exceptional. And there were so many friendly staff members who got to know us by name even though we were only there for 2 nights. Particularly impressive were the front staff Mostafa and Ahmed. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping plan our daily activities for each of the 2 days. It is extremely convenient just a short distance from the airport. The atmosphere of the hotel is very fancy yet welcoming and comfortable at the same time. I found the cost actually below what I'd expect for a property of this quality. I highly recommend this property.

It was a very relaxing experience with some beautiful tea and dried fruit afterwards. The spa area is very relaxing and serene. Would definitely recommend!

Cons: First suite was a rip off (half storage room without windows in living area) let me pay extra for suitable room. No detal kit, no coffee refill, shower first day didnât got hot, from second only hot, mediocre Cocktails at the bar, no fridge/minibar at the room, took me 3 attempts to reach someone at the "guest Service Hotline", hard to get service at the pool at all, almost missed my flight because they did a booking error on check in/out, a then on top intrusively pulled my luggage out of the taxi. Still no invoice received and credit card double charged. What more to say. Nightmare Hotel On top as "would have been nice": I arrived at 8 am due to an early flight. While respecting 3pm checkin, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE showing some effort to make it earlier possible. But that feeling just continued until the very last minute and whole guest experience was at best mediocre. After 4 Attempts to get an invoice from the service they make you send another email to a someone to issue the invoice. I mean seriously. Whats wrong with their interpretation of 5 star service. I am not your their secretary. 6 weeks down the line undefined amount of emails, still no refund. Really! Stay way!
