The staff at the front at amazing! So friendly and helpful. The snacks throughout the day is a lovely touch too! The staff at breakfast are also incredible. So friendly, kind and helpful.

Cons: The cleaning staff do what I would expect of a 4 star hotel. You get complimentary drinks in the minibar and it was replaced once. It’s very random. We ran out of tissues a few times, the shower gel was finished without being refilled. Tea facilities were not replenished (we made tea in the room so used up the milk but the next day only the teabags were replenished). In a 4 star hotel would expect a bit better. Didn’t want to call reception that often to fix things.

The staff is great! The receptionists were very welcoming and helpful. The service at breakfast (where you can order additional hot drinks like espresso) was excellent. 10 points to the staff!

Cons: There was no air conditioning! The room was very hot and we felt very uncomfortable. The windows had no nets, so as soon as we opened them lots of mosquitos flew in. Definitely not a 4-star experience! On a side note, whoever designed the bathrooms should find another job. A fairly large bathroom with a tiny shower enclosure, the liquid soap dispenser fixed to the mirror at shoulder height - what were they thinking?

Hotel Berna was the perfect base for my stay in Milan, situated only a few minutes walk from the Central metro line. The staff were welcoming throughout my stay and kindly checked me in slightly early. The room was clean and comfortable and I particularly enjoyed the power shower and the free soft drinks from the fridge! The breakfast was perfect; all the best parts of a continental breakfast. I stayed in the annex directly across the road from the main hotel in a single room. My friend stayed in the main hotel. This was not at all a problem and worked very smoothly. We arrived by train and, after getting lost and disoriented for ages in the humungous central train station (very easy to do!), found it was only about a 3-4 minute walk to the hotel. First impressions of the room were that it was a little drab compared to other hotels I had stayed in in (mostly Eastern) Europe. However, once you got past that, it was actually quite spacious for a single room. It contained a comfortable double bed, fridge, safe, rack for your suitcase, tea and coffee facility, writing desk and a good number of lighting options with plugs next to the bed to recharge your phone etc. The windows also opened. Good sized bathroom with a shower with shower curtain and heated towel rack, So, all in all, pretty good. Staff are friendly - particulalrly the Bangladeshi barman who prepares all the food for Apperttivo hour in the hotel bar - he is an absolutely lovely guy who made our stay quite special with his conversation and attentiveness to drinks, snacks and advice about some parts of Milan - after a convesration, he even checked if the restaurant next door had vegetarian food. We definitely thought the hotel should promote the bar more as hardly anyone seemed to go to it when we were there - it is an awesome and inexpensive pre-dinner spot, we found. You would never get anything like that amount of complimentary high quality food in Australia or the USA! The breakfast staff were also very freindly and extremely helpful - the breakfast itself is very very good indeed. Brilliant untouristy neighbourhood with awesome access to metro lines and trams just a minute or two down the street. The neighbourhood doesn't seem like much during the day, but it comes alive with stacks of hidden gems at night in terms of bars and restaurants.

Cons: We stayed at the end of February, which is the end of winter, I suppose. But my room (and I heard other people make the same complaint) was automatically set to a very hot heat. Fortunately I was able to work out how to turn it off - and was able to open the window wide to let in cool air. There is also a ceiling fan, which I had turned on all the time. However, every time you'd leave the room, it would automatically heat it to this terrible level while you were out. So I'd have to repeat the same process every time I returned. To add to the discomfort, the curtains were really hard to open to get to the window - I was always very afraid of breaking them. Overall, while there are lot of positives to this hotel, I would defniitely say that the listing makes it look a little more stylish than it is in reality. If the heat issue hadn't been so dominant in my stay, I would probably rate it 8 rather than 7.

Close to Milan Centrale, good breakfast, clean rooms and common facilities, friendly staff. Free drinks in the room’s fridge - a nice touch:) Tea kettle and cup in room. WiFi worked properly. Keep in mind, main door is closed after 11pm for safety reasons

出張での宿泊だったので中央駅付近のホテルを探していました。行く前は治安に不安がありましたが全く問題は無く中央駅からも近いし、周りには飲食店やスーパーもあって夕食や買い物をするのに便利でした。レセプションの方々を始め従業員の方々は大変親切で丁寧な対応でした。部屋には無料の飲み物が置いてありましたし朝食は種類が豊富で美味しかったです。私は利用しませんでしたがバールではハッピーアワーもやっていました。チェックアウト後に荷物を預かってもらい受け取った際にはお水を頂きました。また利用したいです。

Cons: 私の部屋は少し狭かったので大きいスーツケースだと不便かもしれません。基本的に綺麗に清掃してありましたが、シャワー室のポールなどに少し埃がありました。

Uno dei migliori hotel in cui sia mai stata! Avevo chiesto una camera silenziosa perché tornavo da un lungo viaggio e il signore alla reception è stato gentilissimo. La camera era spaziosa, silenziosissima e pulita, il letto era davvero comodo. La colazione era fantastica, c'era un'ampia scelta di cibo e il signore che si occupava del servizio era disponibile e gentile. Tutto impeccabile! Inoltre, l'hotel è a due passi dalla stazione.

A személyzet nagyon figyelmes és kedves. A reggeli bőséges és választékos. A szoba rendkívül tiszta volt, a törülközőket minden nap cserélték. Az elhelyezkedés nagyon jó, közel a metró és a vonat, valamint a transzfer buszok a reptérre. Belváros metróval 4 megálló. Közelben jó éttermek, élelmiszerbolt.

Cons: Az egyik nap volt ez csak, hogy reggeltől a takarító személyzet zörgött, de szokásos, ezzel nem is lenne alapból baj, de később a szomszéd szobában egész délután fúrtak-faragtak.

Gostamos muito do hotel, a localização é muito boa, perto da estação central de metrô, tem vários restaurantes pertos, e até um pequeno mercado. Toda a equipe foi muito gentil, o café da manhã muito bom, com diversas opções. Quarto com chaleira elétrica, café, chás. E algo que gostei é que todos os dias eles reabasteciam o frigobar com água e era gratuita, até no checkout nos ofereceram água pra levar. Voltaria a me hospedar no hotel.

Been coming here every year for 4 years now. This was my first time in the 'tower' (the annex opposite the main hotel) and I was, if anything, even more impressed with the room here. Friendly helpful staff and a great location (near Centrale and just 3 metro stops from the quadrilatero. Couldn't be better.

Мені дуже сподобався номер, в якому я була Затишний, зручне ліжко і хороша ванна. Місцерозташування готелю було дуже зручне, всього три станції метро до Дуомо ді Мілано, і метро в хвилині від готелю. Я дуже задоволена, а персонал взагалі дуже привітний та готові допомогти і порадити щось. Сніданки в готелі просто ТООООП, великий вибір їжі, і дуже смачні десерти :)

BUT…one hole in a sheet could be an oversight of a busy house keeper, not four! Why put a holy sheet on a bed? Big disappointment.

The hotel is <5 mins walk from the main station on a brightly lit street with many other hotels and some restaurants. Lovely friendly lady checked me in. Room was great - old fashioned but well equipped and warm. Shower bath with 2 attachments and jets. Tv with English news channels. Kettle, safe. Breakfast was amazing (with a lot of cakes and chocolate mousse if that’s your thing). Great value at £65 per night. It took about 35 mins to walk to the duomo. On the first night I ate at the Osteria a couple of doors away which was very good. Only gripe was €10 pp per night tourist tax. This is the rate for 4 and 5 star hotels and although the Berna markets itself as 4 star, it is probably 2,5/ 3 star at best.

Wir haben gekreigt, was wir suchten. Hotel in der Nähe des Milano Centrale, recht günstiges Zimmer für eine Übernachtung. Wasserkocher im Zimmer mit Tee- und Kaffebeuteln, kleine Minibar zum Kühlen, sauberes Badezimmer, bequemes Doppelbett, Laminatboden. Unser Zimmer hatte zusätzlich ein Sofa. Sonst ist das Hotel halt etwas altmodisch. Wir hatten schon lange keinen soooo freundlichen Rezeptionisten mehr. Er gab Tipps, zeigte den Stadtplan, war überaus freundlich und hatte auch einen Witz auf den Lippen. Endlich mal wieder jemand der diese Arbeit mit Herzblut macht.

I would give 20 out of 10, if I could. Starting from the personnel, that is very nice, polite, friendly, respectful. These things matter! The room I stayed was a very well cleaned & maintained. You could see, that people take care of the rooms. The bed was comfortable! And I must say the tempreture in the room was excellent. It is diffciult sometimes to get a good temprature in the room, here I felt warm and cosy, it was just right. No noise, no strange smell in the rooms - all very well, no wierd sound of other rooms, it flet like a warm cocoon of peace. The bathroom was new and clean, no signs of mold or humidity. I loved that there was a blue light in the bathroom. Breakfast is probably one of the reasons I would like to stay in this hotel again - it was very good! You can find different types of food, coffee, tea, fruits, american, english of italian breakfast. I higly recommend!

Cons: In den Zimmer war es viel zu warm. Die Heizung konnte nur bedingt reguliert werden. Unter 20 Grad war nicht möglich. Mussten die ganze Nacht mit offenem Fenster schlafen.

Close to the central station. The place is clean though a bit dated. For me the area is not like super sketchy at night as there are restaurants nearby (I didn’t get in super late tho!). Shower is good. Bathroom spacious with amenities prep. Staff are helpful and professional. BREAKFAST IS PERFECT!!!!

Cons: O Hotel junto ao Booking tem uma pegadinha. Não é ilegal mas é imoral. A gente tem uma viagem marcada, então é normal pesquisar os hotéis. Pesquisei no Booking e notei que esse hotel era 4 estrelas e com um preço ótimo em vista dos outros. Fiz a reserva e aí ao chegar no hotel eles dizem que reservei um quarto cama de casal - anexo. Aí é vem a pegadinha. Eles te colocam num prédio em frente, o quarto é um muquifo e lá no Booking tem a explicação. Quarto anexo é um prédio defronte ao hotel. Tem que atravessar a rua para tomar café da manhã. Horrível. Depois de muito insistir o recepcionista trocou o apartamento mas cobrou uma diferença de 90 euros. Pura enganação. Mesmo no próprio hotel berna não merece 4 estrelas. O elevador é minúsculo, cabe uma pessoa e 2 malas. Me senti enganado pelo hotel e pelo Booking.

I’m not familiar with the other offerings in Milan, but was looking for something close to the train station when I came into town for a concert for one night. The location was super convenient, and the room ample enough. The ambient temperature was pleasant. The fridge was stocked with some soda and water which was very nice. The bathroom was large and clean and the shower (which was also a convenient size) was clean and came stocked with shampoo and bath gel. As an American traveling in Europe, I must encourage my fellow ‘Muricans to remember to travel with a wash cloth if you prefer one, as most hotel rooms do not come with one. I was traveling with a friend who ended up having to book a room at another nearby hotel because he waited too long to make his reservation and it seems I probably had the better of the choices: his room was noisy and small, mine was just the right size for a solo traveler, quiet, and comfortable. And the location was beautifully convenient. I can recommend it.

Hotel great for convenience, near enough to walk into centre, very near train station, day trip pick up points, plenty restaurants nearby too. Staff helpful. Restocked free mini bar included along with tea and coffee, lovely after a busy day. The room itself was very clean, including bedding and towels, only thing that let it down was bathroom needed a deeper clean. Shower sealant mouldy and ceiling fan didn't work as months of dust covered it. I'm sure a look at it by senior staff would have picked this up easily as housekeeping were on top of everything else, certainly not 4 star standard. We were in the annex so maybe this made a difference. Would return though so all together a pleasant stay.

Sono oramai diventato cliente abituale. Soggiorno sempre nella struttura esterna denominata tower. Mi trovo sempre benissimo. La stanza è medio piccola ma comoda e pulita.

Cons: Unica pecca che segnalo ogni volta è il bagno. I sanitari e la rubinetteria sono di ottimo livello ma la doccia sembra appartenere ad un altro hotel. La tenda della doccia è di quelle da 2 soldi e il piatto doccia è a livello pavimento e non ferma l'acqua.Questa volta ero nella stanza 551dove, in effetti hanno tentato di porre rimedio ma in modo non consono. È un vero peccato.

Ho dormito nella dependance di fronte all'albergo, il letto era molto comodo, la doccia ottima e la stanza silenziosa, ma non avevano acceso il riscaldamento e c'era il gelo, ho dovuto accenderlo io e aspettare che si riscaldasse. La pulizia non accurata il cestino dei rifiuti era pieno, lo scaldasalviette non funzionava. La colazione davvero ottima e molto varia, veramente per tutti i gusti, dolce e salata. Rapporto prezzo qualità direi buono, posizione buona per il centro città, i mezzi sono a due passi e ottima per la stazione centrale, che è a meno di 5 minuti a piedi.

Cons: Pulizia da migliorare e riscaldamento, che andrebbe acceso prima dell'arrivo dell'ospite.

Location was perfect - close to the central railway station and to a metro station, from where you can easily get to other places in Milan. Room was very nice - I had everything I needed including TV, coffee and tea, refrigerator, and I also got every day a bottle of water. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful.

Only a 5 minutes walk from Centrale station. Perfect for early morning departures or late night arrivals. Hotel Berna is in a quiet street close to many excellent dining options with easy connections via metro or tram to Milan’s many cultural, shopping and dining attractions. The staff weee friendly and efficient. They even upgraded my room. Great value with breakfast and a freee minibar (nonalcoholic drinks)!

Cons: 3-4回目の滞在なのですが、今回とても気になったのは、とにかくお掃除が雑だったことです今まではそんなことなかったのですが… バスタブ、洗面台に髪の毛が残っていることが自分の分は目につくのはティッシュで取っていたのですが、取り漏れているのもあったのかも？と言うのはあるかもしれませんが、それが毎日数本残ってるのはなんだか気になりますあと、コップもティーカップも、使用後洗ってくれている形跡はありません幸いロビーの一角に、紅茶を入れられるよう紙コップが置いてありますのでそれを使わせていただきましたあとシャワーを使う際に切り替えると全部うまく切り替わらずに半分近く普通に蛇口からバスタブに流れます水道が勿体無いな、と思いました水回りがずいぶん古くなってはきてるようです洗面台の蛇口の部分もかなり錆びていますし

Daniel at the reception was excellent — he upgraded my room without me even asking. The minibar was free, and the in-room amenities were very good. Really appreciated the warm and thoughtful service.

Cons: Some guests made noise in the corridor, and because the hallway is quite narrow, the sound can be a bit loud inside the rooms.

Had a very good stay at Hotel Berna. The service was warm and efficient, and Daniel at the reception went out of his way to upgrade my room, which was a really nice touch. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and well-located. Overall, a very good experience and definitely recommended.
