Cons: Śniadanie jest bardzo słabe i monotonne. Wszystko odrzewane a kawa cieniutka. Hotel wymaga remontu i to gruntownego.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never stayed at a place that smelled more of must or mold. The rooms are extremely dark, were dirty in multiple places throughout the room, had no soap or shampoo. My brother’s door did not lock and the staff had no solution for that. The top floor claimed to be a restaurant but all I saw up there were multiple bags of trash.

This property is a gem and I come back a few times a year just to relax in beauty, luxury and quiet. Fes is my favorite destination in Morocco and this ryad is stunning and hospitable. Whenever I stay, I feel that I am returning home to be pampered by family who have missed me. Thanks so much for my stay and I wish that I didn't have to leave.

Conclusion arnaque à 780 euros 22 juin 2025

This is a filthy and smelly hotel, with absolutely no staff, no reception, and no security when we attempted to check in. There was unwashed crockery everywhere, dirty linen, and rat droppings in the main hall. We could not possibly spend more than a few minutes in this awful building.

Mixed Feelings – A Beautiful Place with Disappointing Service We stayed at Palais Sheherazade for two nights, and while the property itself has undeniable charm and beauty, our experience was far from smooth. The hotel is grand and filled with details—it almost feels like its own little city. But instead of feeling welcomed and guided, we felt lost and overwhelmed. Navigating the Medina is intimidating, especially when you don’t know your surroundings. We got lost trying to find our way back, and a group of teenage boys suddenly approached us. While they clearly wanted to "help" for money, the aggressive way they came at us felt threatening. What made things worse was the lack of support from the hotel. There were several staff members just standing around doing nothing, and despite us clearly voicing our safety concerns, no one offered assistance. A simple walk from a staff member could’ve made a big difference, but we were left to fend for ourselves. Our room was stunning—luxurious and well-decorated. However, the exterior of the hotel seemed neglected. Overgrown trees, lack of maintenance, and a general feeling that the place is resting on its former glory instead of living up to it. It feels like a lot of flash without the service to back it up. To top it off, we booked through a travel agency that set everything up, and we weren’t thrilled with their part either. In the end, we decided to cut our stay short and left after two nights. This place has potential, but there’s a serious gap between the presentation and the actual guest experience.

I booked a room at the Sheherazade Palace with a great discount, but what amazed me the most was that it was a truly magnificent palace—like a rare masterpiece. The view was unlike anything I had ever seen in my life, breathtaking and mesmerizing. The architecture and ambiance made me feel like I was in a fairy tale, blending luxury with history in a way that left me speechless.

Palais Sheherazade is pure luxury in the heart of Fes. The architecture is stunning, with intricate tilework, carved wood, and a peaceful courtyard. Rooms are elegant, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The service? Flawless—staff go above and beyond. The food is authentic and delicious, and the rooftop dining is a must. The hammam and spa are top-tier, perfect for unwinding. If you want a mix of history, comfort, and first-class hospitality, this place is unbeatable. 10/10.

A magnificent palace of utmost beauty and elegance, located in the most beautiful district of the old city, with car access right up to its door. With its stunning aesthetics and the precision of its Andalusian-Arabic details, it honors the city of Fez and elevates it to new heights. Wishing you continued brilliance so that your palace remains a rare gem among historical palaces.

This is a gorgeous property but the rooms are dated. This is a palace that smells of old cedar as soon as you enter the room. If you speak English, there is a solitary person (Mohammed) who can help. Lot of people around but they are all newbies trying hard, but can't really help you. We were out of towels as the shower leaked onto the bathroom corridor and into the bedroom, but front desk never came by with extra towels when requested. When I went down, they spared me a small floor mat :) That's all they had. Too costly for the vintage experience.

There is an inner courtyard with a beautiful reflective pool and a wooden kiosk, typical of andalusian architecture. From the beautiful arches, detailed carvings above the archways, and the peaceful SPA– all of this makes this place so serene and magical ! The rooms are magnificent. They feature outstanding ornaments and decors in Andalusian style. Don’t forget to look up and pay attention to the wood ceilings. Pure marvel! This whole setting is just breathtaking! The SPA area is pretty cool. It’s a huge courtyard with a pool and arches. Looks unreal This was without any doubt my favorite hotel in Morocco The architecture and design are somewhat out of this world. Special mention to the delicious food we had in the rooftop overlooking the Medina.

The entrance is deceiving. The riad is huge once inside and truly does look like a palace. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was lovely and it is somewhere I would consider staying again. However I’m not sure if the riad was just opening up for the season or if there is some other reason but it seemed we were the only ones at the riad. A lot of the areas (spas, terraces etc) looked like they haven’t been functioning for a very long time. The indoor swimming pool was freezing although that didn’t stop my daughter having a dip. The rooms were overall clean but I think the taps, showers, bath etc need some tlc. Again, they look like they haven’t been touched in months. This riad has so much potential to be great. Just needs a little bit of maintenance.

This is not a palace! From the moment we entered what seemed like an abandoned hotel we knew something was off. There were no other customers and no one at the reception to welcome us. The people didn't seem to know what they were doing, zero service for a 5-star hotel, the staff barely speak english and/or french. In the room there are problems with the canalisation, the mini bar is empty and you don't even have a trash can. There is no service regarding a shuttle transitioning between the hotel and the airport, you have to pay a cab. The only positive thing is that the place is beautiful, full of potential, but dusty, not well maintained. What a waste!

The Riad is beautiful, delicate work on wood and marble all around the courtyard. The courtyard with pool and greenery is really something to marvel at. Very peaceful within the Palais. The view from the terrace is also beautiful. The staff was very kind. They prepared us breakfast super early whenever we had to leave for tours early. The food they served here was one of the best I've tasted in Morocco. The lamb couscous was to die for. It was a great stay. We loved it. I've traveled a lot and this was the best.

The building and decorations are breathtaking but the service it leaves much to be desired. We were a group of 7 included 2 couples. Our room was tiny and smelled humid but in the others couple room sheets wasn’t cleaned as they found dried semen on it before get in bed, also towels and robes where not clean. We decided to ate in the restoran inside the hotel but they came really late with our dinner and personally asked for a dish with beef and they send me lamb (it tasted like lamb very strongly and I’m allergic)

Impeccable architecture, it was beautiful. However the place needs lots of maintenance especially inside the rooms. Taps leak, shower switch ineffective, no showerscreens as the water messes the wholebat, not enough light in the room, window curtains broken, cupboards are just for looks, TV does not work, no room service, entry gates closed creating at odd times without other access to our rooms. No one attending phones or door bells. The list can go on... lots of workers and there are no one managing the hotel. It is very unfortunate, we regretted staying at this place.

The architecture is spectacular, the service is excellent and very kind. I loved the design of the suite with a very traditional and luxurious palatial style. It was the best Moroccan cuisine I ever tasted in a very romantic atmosphere. The spa and pools are magnificent. The spa is spectacular and the massage was impeccable. I understand why all these rockstars and billionaires all choose to stay in this palace. The location is ideal in the best area of the Medina with stunning 360 views from the rooftop. There is a direct access to the door by car which is very rare. I cannot wait to be back !

Guide from a desert tour called all the riads and this one was the only one who refused to send someone to meet the van. From what I understand it was the owner. Considering how confusing the ages medina is this was a shock. Check in was good, facilities are beautiful at first sight. There was a lot of dust and some dead flies in the room. The shower head was broken, it would spray in all directions. Water was lukewarm, unfortunate with the huge tub in the bathroom. I went out for dinner and drinks the first night and when I returned I couldn’t get back in. I used the buzzer 4 times. Thankfully I was with a friend and his family had an extra room. Otherwise I would have been stranded as a solo female traveller. When I returned the next day I couldn’t find any staff to speak with about this. When I returned from a tour of Fez at 6pm my room hadn’t been cleaned. I had a full garbage and no more toilet paper. On my last day I tried to bathe, the shower head broke completely. When I went to check out I couldn’t find someone at first. The best staff member was this gentleman. I mentioned I needed to get a taxi to the train station and he actually took me there. Honestly, it’s kind of odd here, it’s empty most of the time, including empty of staff. I find it frustrating that I paid for two nights and couldn’t even enter my first night. Overall…beautiful spot but needs updating and more cleaning. Service is lacking.

The stay here was an amazing experience. The staff are kind and helpful. The food was sooo good and their house wine was perfect with the meals! The pools felt great after long hot days, the patio with the desert breeze was wonderful at night. The internet worked in public areas but we didn’t mind because it was so pleasant to just sit and enjoy the ambience. Rooms are clean and air conditioned. Just be aware the portions of food are so large you’ll be stuffed!

The hotel is unique in the sense that it’s an old palace. But because it was original, things were a bit dated. The restaurant area was nice but the food was overpriced and was just ok. The service was also just ok because they forgot certain things when we asked them to set something up. We ended up paying more for dinner because the waiter kept pushing us to get more things and misunderstood us and brought us stuff extra. Reception area was not easy to find. The best part is that this place is pretty close to the blue gate and entry to the Medina. Other than that, it’s definitely overpriced for what you get.

Pretty Riad in the medina. Over all not worth the price. Owner does not seem trust worthy. Offers free guide to take you to his friends shops with over priced merchandise. I booked a suite and they tried to say a regular room was the same as the suite I booked. Classic bait and switch. Left a pair of sun glasses on table and staff said they didn't find them despite there only be about 10 guests staying there. Service extremely slow. Spa ok but very expensive

From the moment we set foot in the hotel we knew we had made a mistake ! We were never checked in properly or welcomed or explained to where anything was . Rooms were not what we had booked . Service appalling. Swimming pools so dirty and cold we could not use . Spa and treatments a total rip off and not proper procedures carried out . Restaurant very expensive and one meal was inedible . Drinks were extortionate and warm . The roof terrace was filthy and not pleasant to use . This is the 6th time I have been to Morrocco and 2nd time in Fes and have never experienced anything like this before . This was also the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in while in Morrocco. When trying to sort this out with the owner , he was arrogant and down right rude . To totally finish our trip off , two of my friends who were with me had their phone chargers stolen and replaced with old tatty ones . They also did nothing to rectify the situation . We booked for 7 nights to celebrate my 50th Birthday . There were 9 of us in 4 rooms . What a total let down , totally disappointed with the hotel and service . Certainly won’t forget it . But unfortunately it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons . The Manager gave us a 30% discount on our bill , but it was nowhere near the discount that we should have received for our absolutely diabolical experience . Really don’t want anybody else to have to go through what we did at this so called luxury Palace . Avoid as it is disgraceful .

We reserved two junior suites and they were vastly different. One was a very standard room, the other what I’d call a suite. It rained when we were there and there were few common spaces to go to that were warm. The roof deck was less appealing than I’ve seen in most other high end riads. The restaurant seemed set up to host events, not have a lovely local dinner (again, like other riads). There is so much potential in this property.

This is the most famous luxury hotel in the region. This gem is an extraordinary palace with spectacular architecture ! We were welcomed by a very courteous and attentive service: they made us feel home. The suite was gorgeous, very luxurious, clean and exceptionally designed in accordance with traditions. Every detail is designed to perfection. Very comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. We had an exquisite dinner in the famous Moroccan restaurant. The palace is very romantic and we almost did not leave this gracious environment for the whole stay. The spa is spectacular with the finest technologies perfectly mixed with the stylish traditional design. The view on the Medina from the panoramic terrace is amazing. The location of the palace is also perfect to visit Fez and very practical since it has direct access by car. The reception service and management did an excellent job helping us to arrange the rest of our trip : this is what I call exceptional 5 star service !

The hotel was very disorganized. I ordered a coke at the courtyard bar with ice, 15-20 minutes later the bartender apologized that they didn't have any ice in the hotel. I sent my shirt to be laundered and after inquiring once and being promised it would be sent up to my room I had to call the front desk to report that it hadn't arrived. A bigger issue was that the air conditioning in our room barely work at all. They promised that they would fix it and said that they had fixed it when we returned after a day of touring. When the temperature was only slightly cooler than the outside temperature after running all day we called again and they came to repair it. They cleaned the filter (very dirty) and topped off the coolant in the system. This sort of fixed the problem for about 12 hours. When we returned from our next day of touring the temperature was again barely above the outside air temperature.

I am amazed that other travelers rated this as a 5-star hotel. I think that 3-3.5 would be more appropriate. The hotel is in a relatively good location; however, upon arrival there is no one at the front door - simply a metal detector!! Not exactly the welcome I was hoping for. The hotel is nice but looks a bit 'tired' - More renovations are needed. The elevator was out of commission the entire time we were there (3 nights) - necessitating a walk up three flights of stairs to get to our room. The wait staff at the restaurant were wonderful, but the front desk people in general were not too knowledgable or helpful.

This hotel could be really great. The wait staff, in particular, were very attentive and professional. However, the renovations that seem to be taking place are not yet fully realized. When you arrive at the hotel, there is a security machine at the entrance--hardly a warm welcome (without a human, that is!) The elevator did not work throughout our stay, necessitating a walk up three flights of stairs (thank goodness our companion of 75 years old is in good condition.) We frequently needed to ask for items such as towels, water, etc. The front desk people were very nice, but not particularly helpful.

The hotel has an amazing architecture and is beautiful. The staff, individually they are very very friendly and helpful but you feel that there are all stressed. The rooms are beautiful, the size of the Riad is quite large and it has two gorgeous pools, beautiful roof top and surprisingly has an elevator to take you up. The location of the Riad is very very convenient and you can just walk to the shops and restaurants. One important point is that the taxi or a car can just pull right into the hotel door despite the hotel being in Madineh making it very accessible..

Location - close to the medina, and a 10 min taxi ride to the new town. Taxi's can drop you right outside the hotel door, so don't be folled into walking down the street when you first arrive. Health and safety - My daughter cut her leg on the table and my new trousers got damaged. When I showed them my daughter's leg and my trousers, they said this was part of the charm of the hotel. BUt they did offer to put a table cloth over the table. Around the pool is dangerous as there are no anti slip mats. My children were told off for walking water 1m away from the pool side! Food - We had breakfast included. On our first morning we had to ask for fruit. There is a selection of items brought out - semolina cakes (very bland), croissants were dry (they are more moist in the airport), 4 slices of fresh bread was brought out to us. If you want English tea ask for Lipton tea. It does take 20 mins for them to bring it to you. We had to ask for a new pot as it arrived luke warm. Coffee arrives very promptly and is bitter. When we asked for extras, they were always obliging. Arrival - we were told to wait at the restaurant table before checking in. Where they brought a selection of cookies and mint tea. We asked for water for the kids, which they did. The building and decor is so beautiful and a pleasure to look at. They could do with an information book in the rooms as you have to ask for everything from wifi codes, to breakfast times and what is included as part of your stay

Stunning large Riad with warm, friendly staff. The only downsides were that the spa facilities weren't working properly (maybe because it was winter) and the food wasn't that great. I also don't think there was a roof terrace. But for sheer size and beauty it's well worth a visit.

Disappointing, besides a bad check in experience (over an hr), our room was lacking things like water, tissues, towels, etc. There were issues with a wine switch at dinner, doubling the cost and they tried to ignore our agreed upon price for the room and charge hundreds more. Both of those items were brought up to manager and corrected upon checkout. Also, courtyard and tables were not completely cleaned up from dinner so when we arrived for breakfast, dinner glasses and bottles, etc were still left out. Not the quality of a hotel I would recommend or stay at ever again.

A legendary Palace with extraordinary service, amazing architecture, an enchanting Spa and the best Moroccan restaurant ever! We have read a very elogious press article on this luxury hotel which convinced us to stay here : It exceeded all our expectations !!! The Spa is a stunning oriental oasis with cutting-edge equipment and fantastic staff ! We had a very relaxing Hammam and an enchanting day sunbathing and swimming in the amazing pools. We also had a massage which was extremely pleasant with very high quality products from Anne Semonin and very competent staff. A special mention to the inner pool of the spa which is a design and technology masterpiece ! The Suite was superb with a magnificent decoration ( refined antiquities, beautiful traditional artworks... ) and romantic atmosphere. We had a beautiful view on the luxuriant garden, a very large comfortable bed and the most beautiful hand-made details I have ever seen in a hotel suite ! The bathroom is very spacious and has excellent equipment. The diner in the patio is delicious and the Moroccan gastronomical menu is a pleasure for senses and it is difficult to convey the beauty of this restaurant in words... Simply gorgeous !!!! There was a very famous american rock-star staying at the hotel at the same period, we have very much appreciated the fact that all guests at the hotel were treated with the same personalized attentions : the staff was always attentive to our needs, very professional and extremely kind.

We were greeted with a mint tea which was very nice, then shown to our room which was lovely. We had been upgraded to a bigger room ,directly accessed from the court yard. We went out for a meal and when we returned about 9pm there was loud music playing. I didn't think anything of it really but it could be clearly heard in our room. It continued into the early hours. We had to get up at 5am for our flight so after hardly any sleep we were a bit dissapointed in our last night in Morrocco.

The hotel far exceeded our expectation after reading some of the previous negative reviews I felt that they were very harsh.the staff were warm and friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and Moroccan chic as was advertised. If I had one complaint it would beware the receptionist did try to over charge me by claiming that expedia charged me the wrong price however I stood my ground and was chafed the agreed price. That being the only blip in what otherwise was a great experience in a beautiful city and country. I would highly recommend.
