Das herzliche Personal sowie der wundervolle Ausblick von der Dachterrasse. Auch die Lage direkt in der Medina ist super.

Cons: Wir hatten als Familie mit unserem 3-jährigen Sohn ein Standard Doppelzimmer Richtung "Straße" für 2 Nächte gebucht. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Das Zimmer war dunkel, alt und definitiv renovierungsbedürftig. Was uns am meisten gestört hat, war der muffige und fischige Geruch. Zudem hatte man das Gefühl, dass die Meeresluft im Raum steht. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Lieblos und nicht besonders ansehnlich. Wir haben es nicht zu uns genommen und sind lieber in einem Cafè frühstücken gegangen. Leider haben wir uns auch entschlossen aufgrund des Zimmermangels eine Nacht früher zu gehn und können auch in Summe diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen.

On the positive side, the cleaning service was very good — the room was cleaned every day. The view from the restaurant was outstanding, and the hotel’s location inside the Medina was convenient for exploring the city.

Cons: However, I was not satisfied with the room — it looked quite different from the pictures and did not match what was offered for the price. The receptionist said it wasn’t possible to change rooms as they were all the same. The Wi-Fi was very slow, and the breakfast could have been more varied considering the cost.

I had a fabulous room with astonishing sea view. The terrace was gorgeous.

Cons: The breakfast wasn’t my kind of thing. Coffee out of a canteen urn. Unpleasant Cold crepes and waffles. Dinner was a disaster tasteless vegetarian tajine with raw potatoes which they were going to charge me for. The staff thought it was hilarious when I left the food untouched. They were giggling and being silly as I left the dining room. It was an unnecessary palaver to get the meal credited back to my account. Also they had a ridiculous voucher system for the Wi-Fi which only lasted 24 hours then you had to get another voucher. V peculiar.

El riad es grande y espacioso., tiene aparte de la primera planta 4 plantas más, con un personal muy amable, la ubicación del riad excelente, las habitaciones grandes y limpias, no les falta de nada, el baño amplio con bañera, el restaurante tieme una terraza con vistas espectaculares al 🌊 allí puedes disfrutar de un desayuno marroqui riquísimo 😋, y no se me olvida la amabilidad de los camareros atentos en todo momento, y muchas gracias al personal del recepción 😉

Cons: Le petit déjeuner est une honte. Très en dessous de ce qu’on attend pour ce prix. Rien de frais, uniquement des produits industriels et emballés. Le repas est vide, sans intérêt, et ne vaut clairement pas ce qu’on a payé. Quand j’ai signalé que le café était imbuvable, on m’a proposé un café pression… mais en supplément. Sérieusement ? Aucun effort de la part du personnel pour améliorer la situation, aucun geste commercial, aucun mot d’excuse. Bref, à fuir. Allez plutôt dans un autre riad, vous trouverez bien mieux pour moins cher.

Ya había ido antes hace años y volvi porque es un lugar inolvidable. Estuve 4 noches en la habitación superior con vistas al mar de la tercera planta (309). La decoración muy bonita, cama de 2x2m, armário enorme con sítio suficiente para una pareja y maletas. Las vistas son inmejorables: estás sobre el Atlántico, literalmente. Puedes ver el mar desde la cama al despertar... si duermes con las cortinas abiertas. El personal amable y aunque no hablen español (sí inglés y francés) entienden de maravilla el lenguaje no verbal y solucionan los problemas jeje no había água caliente el primer día, lo solucionaron en cuanto lo dije. Las sábanas y toallas las cambian a diario. La habitación limpia, dos botellas de agua diarias como cortesía. Solo he escuchado las olas del mar, en ningún momento vecinos o servicio. La ubicación está en una zona tranquila de la Medina, pegada al muro. Eso sí, se siente la humedad, pero estamos prácticamente dentro del mar, no hay nada que hacer. Un lujo salir del verano madrileño y sentir el fresquito de Essaouira n pleno verano. Llevar algo de abrigo, eso sí... es la tercera vez que voy por estas fechas y siempre pasa lo mismo, será por el microclima de la ciudad.

Cons: Por comentar algo, el desayuno es mejorable. Ya he ido muchas veces a Marruecos y he tenido la oportunidad de probar en otros riads el maravilloso queso marroquí, la cuajada, las aceitunas, las pastas, las frutas etc ... lo habitual de allí. Me ha sorprendido que el desayuno, aunque esté correcto, sea como de un hotel cualquiera. El zumo natural estaba rico. Volveré siempre por las vistas, pero creo que la próxima desayunaré fuera, por no prescindir de un auténtico y delicioso desayuno marroquí.

We have been to Essaouira mamy times so when we came across this Riad it was something to give us a different experience and the view when we walked into our room took our breath away. It was spectacular. The rocks, beach, ocean and views od the old city and walls. The staff were all excellent, kind, helpful and made us feel very comfortable, really very good. When we arrived for check in it was smooth and informative. The team sent tea to our room and a lovely fruit basket. Room was very spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was good and when we wanted some of the local breads (in addition to what was provided) the staff went and bought some for us. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The terrace and dinner at the rooftop is modern and beautiful and had lovely views across the rooftops or ocean. The lobby also was beautiful and traditional Riad style. Great location for exploring the Kasbah, streets and main square. Overall we loved the Riad.

Cons: Nothing I didnt like actually but Just sharing this info as some may find it useful. Typically in most Riads there is no air-conditioning so just be aware of your personal preference. Room was a little stuffy due to the ocean humidity but not hot even in the height of summer. We opened the window a little and could hear the ocean which was loud but it was wonderful. We booked the ocean facing room and understood what we were getting from past comments.

Got a room facing the ocean. Loved the sound of the waves breaking ashore. Room is comfortable but not the sink in the bathroom as there is hardly a place to put personal items. The staff were very accommodating and they entertain guests’ requests immediately. Great location in the heart of Essaouira and getting around the small town is very easy.

This is oldworld charm at it's finest built right into the edge of ocean. The architecture of the building is really interesting swell. This was my favorite hotel in Morocco. The staff who work there are very friendly & obviously take pride in hosting travelers in this amazing building. The lobby opens up right into the a charming side section of the Essouria Medina. I really hope to return here one day.

Beautiful Riad, next to the sea. We watched the changing tides for hours with armchairs in front of the floor to ceiling windows. Staff were extremely helpful and very kind. Our bedroom was enormous, and very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size. Breakfast was plentiful, and evening dinners on roof terrace were reasonably priced with a good selection of meals.

Cons: Shower over awkward bath with no shower curtain. It was also extremely difficult to maintain a constant temperature, so shower water temperature kept switching from very cold to extremely hot which was unwelcome. No fridge in room was a nuisance.

The Riad Mimouna is beautiful (my wife would say”magical”)! From the moment you walk in the main door the beauty of the interior stands out. Rooms are decorated in a very traditional manner, and are a great space for a couple in our case. The real surprise was going up to the roof top restaurant and lounge area. This overlooked the ocean and might be the best view in Essaouira. Our breakfasts were served here and what a way to start your day! I would recommend this Riad to everyone.

El desayuno estaba bien pero no era buffet como en otros sitios, eso si desde una terraza con vistas al mar impresionante. y el lugar, aunque alli todo esta cerca si es verdad que esta en una zona en la que hay que callejear un rato por zonas en las que no hay nada con lo que para lo que es aquello parece que esta un poco desplazado

Wir waren noch nie in so einer tollen Unterkunft! Wir wurden super nett mit Tee empfangen und uns wurde alles gezeigt und Tipps für die Stadt gegeben. Am Abend waren wir im Restaurant oben essen und die Speisen sind großzügig und wirklich lecker. Auch das Frühstück hat eine super Auswahl. Die Wände sind etwas dünn, aber damit war zu rechnen. Wir würden jederzeit sofort wiederkommen und am liebsten noch länger bleiben.

The Riad has old world charm and amazing views of the sea…..the Old World Charm extends to loose bathroom taps , a bath shower tap you couldn’t regulate , waste bins not emptied , curtains that didn’t draw and a picturesque window that was dirty and only opened with the strength of a strong man ! Breakfast was very ordinary compared to the high cost of room , cold boiled eggs , packet baked croissants and odd selection of bits and pieces …rounded off with almost fresh bread … If you like this kind of Old World Charm …then this is the place for you …..

(Am öffentlichen Parkplatz vor der Medina stehen kostenpflichtige Männer mit Handwagen, die man auch für die Abreise vorbestellen sollte.) Die Badezimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und die Mitarbeiter eher nicht hilfsbereit. Keine Klimaanlage/Heizung, die notwendig gewesen wäre (mobiler Heizlüfter versteckt im Schrank).

The view from the room was marvelous. Location in the Medina is brilliant. Room was very good, exactly what we were looking for. Balcony was nice but normally a little to windy to enjoy it to the full. Breakfast is good, recommend the mynte tea. All in all, hotel is comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and service is fine.

Cons: Shower can be improved, should be better. Breakfast a little monotonous, some variation might be good. TV channels not up to standard, hardly possible to watch any news and football games only available in the lobby.

Très agréable et très calme malgré sa situation dans la Médina. La vue sur la mer du quatrième étage est magnifique. Un bon petit déjeuner avec tout ce qu'il faut. Unschlagbar ist die Lage. Das Hotel befindet sich quasi im Festungswall. In unserem Zimmer hatte man den Eindruck direkt im Atlantik zu stehen. Das Wetter war nicht herausragend, daher konnten wir die unglaubliche Aussicht auf den stürmischen Atlantik doppelt genießen. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und man kann sich hier vom Shoppen in der Medina hervorragend ausruhen.

Cons: Die Preise sind verhältnismäßig hoch, daher hätten wir uns gefreut, über eine kleine Kaffee- oder Teeecke im Zimmer.

A beautiful traditional Moroccan Riad with the Atlantic Ocean for our garden! We loved the vibrant colours, the beautiful tiles and the whole peaceful ambience. The roof top restaurant was stunning with its panoramic views over the ocean. Watching the waves crashing on the rocks…. Fantastic photo opportunities. Absolutely breathtaking. There are no cars within the Medina walls as the streets are narrow and lined with the wonderful markets, so they have friendly locals with large barrows to transport your luggage to and from the Riad, for a few Dirhams. Very handy when your bags are full of the gorgeous wares sold in the markets. Take an empty suitcase!!

Наш любимый отель в нашем любимом городе Эс-Суэйре, возвращаемся сюда уже 3й раз! Великолепные виды на бьющийся в скалы океан - отель на углу крепостной стены, и море бьется чуть ли не прямо в окна! На такие виды мы можем зависать часами - либо на террасе наверху отеля, либо в номере у окна! Отель очень красивый, в традиционном марокканском стиле риада. Номера в целом достаточно удобные, есть все, что нужно, и красиво оформленные, но главное - опять же, окна на океан. Лучшие варианты - люкс или мини-люкс: в мини-люксе угол - 2 окна по разные стороны крепости, в люксе - огромное окно во всю стену! Дороговато получается, но оно того стоит! В минилюксе зимой прохладно и влажно, но сразу ставят отдельный нагреватель, обратите внимание - зимой он обязателен! В люксе и без него хорошо. Отель внутри медины, так что выходя из отеля - вы сразу оказываетесь на узких улочках старого города, то есть там, где нужно! :) Обратите внимание, что подъезда на машине к отелю нет, и это в данном случае плата за расположение, а не минус. И от парковки нужно минимум минут 10 петлять по каменистым улочкам, что с багажом некомфортно. Если у вас багаж - заказывайте носильщиков с большими тележками, либо от отеля (у них есть своя тележка), либо возле парковки. Заодно и проводника получите, потому что в 1й раз найти отель непросто :). Замечательное отношение персонала, нас каждый раз принимают как родных и стараются учитывать все наши пожелания, большое всем спасибо! 2 прошлых раза нам делали апгрейд номера, в этот раз мы сразу заказали люкс для гарантии, так что апгрейдить было уже некуда :) Хорошая кухня в ресторане. Если жить здесь долго, то завтраки достаточно однообразные, но можно тогда заказывать еще что-то по меню в дополнение. В любое время можно заказать замечательный марокканский чай. С удовольствием обнаружили, что с момента нашего прошлого посещения прошел ремонт и появился лифт (большая редкость для традиционных риадов) - удобно, и при этом не портит антураж.

Cons: Очень хотелось бы более чистых окон, поскольку именно вид на океан - изюминка отеля. Понимаю, что поддерживать их чистоту постоянно из-за близости океана сложно, и не снижаю из-за этого общую оценку 10 любимого отеля, но это наше пожелание, чтобы было еще лучше. Водопроводная система довольно старая, температура воды в душе не очень стабильна. Также как пожелание для улучшения на будущее.

This road has one of the best views you could ever want. modern good facilities with helpful staff. As with all riads it was a little dark in our room and a little cold. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff are always there to be helpful and meet your needs. They were not pushy in finding activities around town.

Cons: The biggest problem we found was that there were not enough electrical outlets in our room. All were dedicated to lights, tv and the like and so you have to unplug something in order to charge or use the outlets.

The road is very charming and perfectly positioned. The view from the bedroom was fantastic, perfect view over the ocean. Staff were friendly and attended to all our needs and questions.

Cons: We could hear the people above us until quite late at night. That however cannot be blamed on the hotel, more so the bad manners of the other guests.

Aufwachen und Schlafengehen mit Blick auf den Atlantik aus dem Bett ist ein Traum, den wir nie vergessen werden. Alleine wegen diese Lage ist das Hotel die erste Wahl in Essaouira. Hinzu kommt das durchweg sehr freundliche, hilfsbereit und aufmerksame Personal.

Cons: Es gibt keinen Alkohol, weder zum Abendessen im Lokal noch auf der Dachterrasse. Das ist für ein Hotel mit diesem Standard nicht akzeptabel.

What a delightful riad right inside the Medina of Essaouira. Comfortable rooms and the entire place is decorated with Moroccan style. Ensuite bathroom and wifi is avaiable throughout the facility. The only down side is that there is no kettle or fresh water provided.

A really nice riad with very good and helpful staff and a beautiful roof top restaurant. Very good food. The bathroom needed updating and the shower above the bath hit the window instead of the bath so was difficult to use (room 311) Breakfast was the same each morning which could be monotonous after 2. A wonderful location though and very nicely presented.

Cons: Par contre la vétusté de la salle de bain, en plus d'être ridiculement petite, la robinetterie, les accessoires, tout est rouillé ou piqué par la rouille, franchement loin d'être à la hauteur du prix de la suite, idem, petite serviette, pas de peignoir...quand on paye 150€ la nuit j 'estime qu'il y a un minimum. Idem pour le petit déjeuner , loin d'être à la hauteur du prix et du lieu.

The two main issues we had were the odor in the room, it smelled like mold. Secondly, the room doors slam throughout the riad and its very very loud. There seems to be little soundproofing. We stayed on the 3rd floor underneath the restaurant and heard every chair being moved. There is no air conditioning, but that's something we should have checked before booking That is not the fault of the riad. The staff were very nice. I would rate the place a 3 star based on the views from our room a d the upstairs deck

Amazing sea views from our very lovely room. The hotel is beautiful, with a very traditional Moroccan style, ornate tiling and mosaics throughout. The veiws from the restaurant and roof terrace are exception.

Cons: The hotel is is the quieter part of the town, and a somewhat rundown feel to the area. Many neighbouring buildings seem to be unoccupied. This means first impressions are not great - but dramatically improve when you enter the hotel.

We stayed here two nights out of our 10 in Morocco. In all we stayed in 4 riads This one is on the larger size and more like a hotel than some of the smaller Riads. The only elevator we saw for 10 days! Our room had a stunning view with two windows that opened, the beds were pretty comfortable and we had no plumbing issues. Like other riads we had no noise issues. Service was attentive and good. Breakfast was good, not exceptional, and we had a very good dinner inside their rooftop restaurant. They also have a large outdoor rooftop terrace. The whole place has lovely views. The location was very good, within very short walking distance to shopping and the eastern part of the Medina, while not being smack in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

The location of this hotel is perfect and the best is really the view over the sea and the beach. The staff is exceptionally nice and always smiling, always available and ready to help, one of the best staff members of all our stays in Morocco. The decor is very tasteful and very typical, we loved the lamps, the rugs and the rooms are very beautiful. The rooftop is probably the best in the town given the direct view over the melhor of the beach. The location is great, everything is close by.

Cons: However, the rooms could be better, they show some signs of need of reparations given the air directly from the sea (very corrosive to metals and wood).

This is THE place to stay in Essaouira if you want a room right on the Atlantic Ocean, yet within easy walk of the center of the walled city. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well-equipped, bt the highlight was opening the windows and hearing the surf crashing below. Breakfast is served on the 4th floor which has a lovely view across the water and into the town. Walk up on the terrace to get great views at sunrise and sunset. The staff were also very helpful, the place clean. We hated to leave and will recommend this place to anyone going to Essaouira. First rate!

This very pleasant Riad is set inside the Medina of Essaouira, alongside the sea wall. We had very good views over the sea from our rooms and there are also excellent views from the roof terrace. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The concierge was very helpful at arranging for activities outside the town. The Riad is very well situated for exploring the Medina, which is a very much more relaxed place than the more usual souks of Morocco. We had a very pleasant two days stay here.

The view from the room over the ocean and rocks cannot be bettered. It should rate as second to none. As a view I have seen many of the worlds great views but non better the view from our room. The ambiance of the public parts of the hotel were like walking through history.

Cons: The dinning room could only be accessed by one flight of stairs. The shower was fixed. The room was small.There were no tea & coffee facilities. Breakfast was a fixed plate of food. No cereal, No fruit juice.It was 30 minutes walk from the taxi rank. This was over stone pavers and would be unsuitable for those with mobility issues The restaurent was limited.

Une architecture à couper le soufle, c'était un plaisir de se balader même au sein du riad. La vue est incroyable depuis la suite. Le sejour était très confortable aussi. Nous avons adoré la gentillesse du personnel. La chambre qui était splendide très bien décorée et très spacieuse. Nous avons très bien dormi ! Le restaurant était aussi très bon on s'est régalé !

Cons: On n'a trouvé ça dommage que les fenêtres ne soient pas nettoyées. On a compris par la suite que c'était casi impossible car il y a le vide mais au moins le faire de l'intérieur avec un balais ou quoi. Car quand on est arrivé dans la chambre il n'y avait aucune vue à cause du sable... on a du ouvrir pour profiter de la mer donc s'il fait froid pas top... Le petit déjeuner qui n'était pas copieux et pas ouf. Le mieux serait de proposer directement aux clients ce qu'ils veulent ou faire un buffet.

Красивый и приятный рияд. Из номера и с террасы, где проходит завтрак, открывается незабываемый вид на океан. Все как на фотографиях, даже лучше :) Локация в самом центре медины, близко ко всем достопримечательностям и ресторанам. До пляжа 10 минут пешком. Очень приветливый и отзывчивый персонал.

Cons: Уставший номерный фонд, но не критично. Раковина, краны, корзина для мусора были покрыты ржавчиной. Небольшой ремонт в номерах, обновление некоторых предметов мебели могли бы сделать отдых более приятным.

Amazing view of the ocean. Room was large. Staff was very nice and helpful. Took our bags to and from the bus/taxi stop when we arrived and when we left. Breakfast was nice, good views from the breakfast room.

The room with the view to the sea was awesome! Very nice to listen even to the sound of the waves below your window... Comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast is served on the roof top where you can also relax and enjoy the panorama view. Very friendly employees and all in the bets stay during my time in Marocco!

Everything. Great location, stunning city. The view from our room was magical (directly over the city walls and on to the beach on 2 sides) and waking up to the sunrise and the sound of the sea was just dreamy. There's a lovely rooftop restaurant and outdoor space. The staff were so helpful and kind making our stay magical and perfect for a surprise proposal!

La situation, la vue époustouflante, la terrasse, le personnel très aimable et le petit déjeuner très copieux.

Cons: La douche qui est étroite ce qui peut ne pas être un souci sauf s’il y a uniquement une sortie d’eau au plafond. Et en mauvais état ce qui arrose toute la salle de bain. Pas de pommeau de douche à la main. Impossible de garder les cheveux secs et de se rincer correctement.

Cons: Equipt sanitaire (robinetterie, vasque, poubelle,…) un peu vétuste, ss doute normal pour une construction de 20 ans, mais à revoir, y compris la fenêtre bois en simple vitrage ds la sdb. Qui plus est le verre dépoli ne s’impose vraiment pas et entrave une vue exceptionnelle!

La struttura è affacciata sul mare, sulla cinta muraria del paese. É stata restaurata e permane il fascino del Riad d'altri tempi molto romantico nella zona reception. La camera vista mare ben decorata. Colazione tipica marocchina molto buona. Vista bellissima sui tetti e sul mare dal terrazzo del ristorante.

Cons: Purtroppo la nota molto negativa è che permettono di fumare nell'area comune adibita a bar/salotto con vista sul mare ed è molto spiacevole per chi come me non sopporta il fumo e ha una grave allergia ai suoi componenti. Non si può accedere a quella zona perché è come entrare in un affumicatoio! Quindi non abbiamo potuto goderci un buon the seduti nella sala ad ammirare il mare! Trovo sia penalizzante per gli ospiti non fumatori. Lo staff dovrebbe provvedere vietando il fumo nelle aree comuni interne cosi da permettere a tutti di goderne. La struttura andrebbe manutenzionata perché nelle stanze le prese di corrente si staccano dal muro ed è abbastanza pericoloso. Per il resto il restauro andrebbe rifatto, diciamo che è antica e ci si deve adattare. Il prezzo alto rispetto a tutto ciò.

As others have said, paying more for the mini-suite with sea view is worth it. Sleeping to the sounds of crashing waves is a rare treat, all the more because short of a villa, most other countries tend to put an un-openable window in such rooms. Bed is comfortable; housekeeping excellent. Bathroom is modern with Moroccan tiles; good water pressure.Staff at reception are professional and discreet – understated but top-notch service. Staff on terrace and at breakfast are friendly too but seem more inexperienced. Breakfast is not the sumptuous feast you might expect of a traditional riad, but then again, Mimouna is really more like a fully-fledged hotel that is architecturally Moroccan.

Cons: At this price point, replace the (understandably) rusted bathroom bin and some threadbare towels. Also did not appreciate one of the guys at reception being a bit fresh with me (not the young bespectacled gentleman – he was always kindly and welcoming) – if I ask for new Wifi codes because the previous ones have stopped working, I do not want to be told with a straight face, multiple times, that I cannot get new ones, as a joke. I am generally quite good-humoured about such 'jesting', but as a solo female traveller who looks young, I get quite enough of it walking through the streets and do not need it in a relatively expensive hotel.

This Riad was right next to the sea. The views were fabulous from the sun deck. There was also a great indoor sun lounge if too chilly outside. Both were next to the restaurant which also had excellent views and the food was also good. The room was comfortable, clean and had windows which was a welcome bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Essaouira was much more pleasant and cleaner than Marrakech. The woodworking area definitely worth a visit. It has a great beach although the sea was rather cold! Good selection of restaurants.
