Breakfast, whilst sitting poolside was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always quick to raise a parasol next to the table, to offer shade, as needed. The choice of eggs was good, although it would have been nice to also be offered some cooked tomatoes & maybe some olives; as many of the pastries were too sweet for me taste! We ate at the hotel every evening, which is quite unusual, however, we enjoyed the peaceful setting. The food was good, although I would have liked a few more options of vegetables, to accompany the meat dishes. I think it would be useful for the kitchen to make sure they are always stocked up with 'ice cream', as this seemed to be in short supply on occasions!!
Cons: The Room was superb; a great size and our room had a spacious balcony, overlooking the gardens and pool. It would have been nice to have a couple of slightly more comfortable patio chairs on the balcony - maybe rattan - we would have definitely used our balcony more often, to relax and read, had the furniture been more comfortable. Only thing missing in the Room itself was a coffee machine - maybe a Nespresso, or similar. In a hotel of this calibre, it is usual to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Cons: Our room could do with a refurbishment, especially the bathroom. Our daughter's room was newly refurbished so it was fine. It's an old hotel and I guess some areas need some TLC.

The hotel itself is breathtaking and the original suite we selected was just so beautiful, but unfortunately due to an unexpected event we had to relocate to another suite. The location and parking was great, not too close but also not to far from the city.

The architecture and interior design was great. The pool seating area was nice and the suite we booked was big. The dogs are SO CUTE!
Cons: The pool was not heated. The breakfast is the same everyday (mainly different types of bread and egg EVERYDAY) and despite requesting different food they did not offer us anything else. The service is very slow despite the place being pretty small. The location is very off the city and taxis are expensive.

Absolutely loved the buildings and decor, very authentic. All the staff except the female manager were so helpful. It is a small and friendly place where you get the personal touch. Food excellent, amazing breakfast.
Cons: I didn’t like that a stranger sat outside the room in the chair on the terrace for two nights. The female manager overcharged us on the city tax. On the Booking.com invoice it stated £19, however we were charged 300 dirhams. I questioned it and asked for an invoice but the lady refused.

Eğer suitlerde kalıyorsanız temiz ve güzel konforlu. Ancak diğer yerlerde kalıyorsanız eski pis kokulu ve banyo suyu bile doğru dürüst akmayan odalarla karşılaşıp bunalıma girersiniz. İlk gece biz ğis odada kaldıktan sonra suitlere geçtik. İki ayrı dünya gördük. Lpkasyon çok kötü. Çok uzak heryere.

This is a real palace. The suites are distributed in a large garden, so it takes minutes to walk from our room to the main lobby. It even deserves half a day for the decorations in the main lobby. Overall quite a memorable accommodation for me. The location is away from the old city, quite yet not so convenient. I will highly recommend it as a second stay after one in the old city. That brings experience of two different worlds. The suite is incredibly spacious, with two large beds in two separate bedrooms, besides the living room. Moreover, one garden in front of the living room. and the other courtyard behind the bedroom! Breakfast is good, although not so much choice, but enough for me. I love this place and wish to come back again in the future.
Cons: The facilities are kind of out-of-date. Water in our bathroom did not flow down normally and the floor got wet after shower. The light in one of our bedrooms did not work. While these issues may be annoying for most people, I understand that a big renovation could break the old-day atmosphere of this palace, which is precious compared with the modern thing. Instead, I would suggest to regularly maintain the facilities.

Nice little heaven. Beautiful garden and rue suites are very large. It is out of the woods, so 100-150dirhams taxi fare to go into town. Nice bakery and restaurant no far, pretty safe area. Breakfast generous but could do with some variety such as fruit, different vienoiserie etc. It is the same thing in offer every day. Food is very nice in the restaurant. Overall, very enjoyable stay and the staff goes out of their way to make it pleasant for you.

Breakfast area by pool is lovely but had issues with lots of bees around the tables - so they could figure out a way to manage that better, we elected to sit inside on second day as it was an issue for our kids. Rooms were really large and plenty of storage. Comfortable beds. Staff friendly.
Cons: Just a few items of repair needed here and there, toilet flush handle not firmly attached to the wall, shower handle quite stiff to adjust. No light curtain - so we had to close full curtains of our room for any privacy as there were staff walking / gardeners working around the grounds near our ground floor room. Service could be slow. Pool area - needs a steady supply of pool towels. Ideally wanted a twin room for our children. There was no option to set the beds up like this but they did make up a sofa bed.

It is in Palmerie area which is a bit far from medina but the hotel offers a 150 mad taxi service during the day and 200 mad at night, you can call reception and they help to order taxi for you. Pool is amazing , breakfast was good with plenty of options eggs, bread basket, butter , cheese and jam with orange juice and coffee. It has also an authentic vibe to appreciate your stay in Morocco rather than a new hotel chain you can stay in anytime so It was a different view also they have small cute details like the friendly staff and the lovely dalmation dog at the entrance which made it feel like home for few days.
Cons: I didn’t like the burger served at the pool restaurant food menu is basic not many options I prefered to eat my lunch/ dinner outside.

Beautiful traditional architecture Nice gardens Big pool
Cons: Hotel felt a little run down It needs a big refresh both room and common areas would be much more beautiful if they had a furniture and paint update. A lot of art throughout the hotel made it feel like a clutter. Hotel would feel more clean with slightly more minimalist touch. There were beautiful dining rooms inside the palace that should have been better accommodated as common areas since they were not utilized. Very light staffing in the hotel with no proper bar area or lounge made it feel more like a 3 star experience. It was a bit of a shame because this has the potential to be a fantastic hotel. The hotel needs a rebranding and new positioning with a big refresh to live up to the beautiful palace that it can be.

Only 20 mins by car from the madness of the madina. Extreamly good value hotel, spacious rooms, set in manicured gardens. We had a very relaxing stay here. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Great food menu and a set traditional Moroccan breakfast served around the pool. For the majority of our stay the hotel was very quiet, no kids and a small amount of guests. The showstopper is the pool, it’s absolutely wonderful for lengths and cooling off. We will be back for sure. I do think some of the reviews are unkind, yes the furniture may be dated in places but this adds to the authenticity of this property. If you want a sanitised 5 star hotel with silver service then this is not for you. Personally, I loved the eclectic interiors and architecture it’s Marrakech after all. Well done Sofia and team, see you next time!
Cons: At times, service at breakfast and around the pool can be unorganised, however once this was pointed out the staff were keen to improve

The pool is big and the staff working around the pool area is friendly
Cons: Where to start… first, the pictures as well as the majority of good reviews are very very outdated. The hotel requires some serious renovation, it’s literally falling apart: the furniture is shabby, tv works every other day, towels are dirty, the gym equipment is from the 90s. The food in the restaurant is uneatable (apart from the breakfast, it was basic but good). The worst thing about it is the reception actually only works from 9am-7pm, so if your check out is outside of this frame- the receptionist will call you multiple times asking you to come pay the day before. We also asked for a breakfast basket since we had to leave the hotel 30 min before the breakfast starts (8am) which is a very standard practice. The receptionist lady (hello, Sofia) was extremely rude, her answer was « MADAME, as I said, the breakfast starts at 8, there is nobody to give you food before ». This hotel is the furthest from 5 stars that I’ve ever experienced in my life and I travel very frequently. The attitude is appalling, they will also offer you to get a « touristic taxi » which charges 20 eur for every trip to centre Marrakesh (don’t do it, just use the apps and pay 5-10 eur instead).

We choose this hotel to be in a quieter area of the city, the only inconvenience is that you need a taxi each time you want to go out. Beautiful gardens, lovely setup by the pool and we were upgraded to a lovely room which was massive. Breakfast and lunch served outside by the pool was an added bonus as we had warm weather throughout our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and a special shout out to Hamid, our polite, helpful and safe taxi driver.
Cons: The cleanliness of our room, could have been better. Although the breakfast was good, it was the same everyday. A selection of fruit, yogurt and other healthy options would have made it perfect.

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. There were historical decorations everywhere and the rooms are traditional and I was fascinated when I first saw the historical room. The traditional breakfast was very nice and the dinner was very elaborate and high quality.

This hotel is simply stunning, the main area is a true wonder of construction and is by all means a palace, the room I got is beautiful, quiet and has unique antique furniture and art, the pool is amazing, the garden is beautiful and serene, there is a supermarket nearby otherwise it’s away from the bustle of the city, I would highly recommend you go here for your Marrakech stay.

The palace is really beautiful and the suite was really nice, comfortable and luxurious. The staff at the reception were really doing a great job, from welcoming till the departure time (keep it up)
Cons: I had the worst experience ever at the palais's restaurant, the food was totally average and the worst was the waiter. He made us really uncomfortable, haughty at all times, we just left the restaurant as soon as the food came in. We were so excited about our stay at the Palais but this guy ruined it all. And then the breakfast was the worst we had as well in our entire stay in Marrakech, we've been to different type of accommodations but their breakfast was the worst. I am not a picky person but this was really the worst. Again, we had to look for the waiter ourselves in that big building to be served our breakfast, they served us disgusting eggs, most of it was industrial food and drinks. We planned to stay the whole day at this place to relax and chill but we couldn't just wait to checkout and go somewhere else. If you want to spend money, spend it elsewhere unless they improve their services.

the colours of nature (palms, green and perfectly kept lawns) mixed with the colours of the building and pool made this experience outstanding. The staff and the owner were wonderful!

Cons: We had ants coming out from a home in the bathtub on our last night. But it was later fixed

Nice location and beutiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The gym needs an update as most of the machines are not functional. Also some problems with the hot water as they turned it down. After communicating this 3 times this was fixed.

The hotel was picturesque. The grounds were quite nice and well-maintained, a nice place to take pictures. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious.
Cons: Breakfast was by the pool, but the setup was inadequate. Dogs and cats were disturbing guests. Limited menu offerings. Rooms were not cleaned properly, lots of cobwebs. A couple of lamps were not working. The bathroom in one of the rooms smelled awful. I think the cats used it as their litter area. The water pressure was so low in that bathroom that my children had to use our bathroom for the entire stay.

Loved our stay here. It’s family friendly and the staff are all very lovely. My daughter had the best time here.
Cons: Only thing I didn’t like was the cats, you can’t eat your food peacefully without them surrounding you. I found that very uncomfortable. As you don’t want to be eating your food and getting jumped on by stray cats.

we loved our stay at palais mehdi, Sofia and her team were great and the hotel grounds were so beautiful and peaceful! The team helped us book Desert excursions which were really fun too. Only a short 15 min taxi ride from the Medina meant you had the best of both worlds. Breakfast was cooked to order every morning too! We will 100% be returning

This hotel was on the outskirts of the town centre. We were in two minds as we originally wanted to stay at a Riad in the medina. However after visiting the medina - while we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the place - we were relieved to be back in our hotel. The staff were excellent. We left very early on the last day and they made us breakfast at 0700 hrs to ensure we ate before we left. Exceptional service.
Cons: No water in the rooms - complimentary water only on day 1. But other than for this - nothing that we did not like.

Its a gorgeous hotel. Had the best food in marrakesh and service was excellent. Super clean, great decor. Had everything we needed. It's close to the medina, 15 min drive. Very close to hivernage which is great place for Classy night out. Look forward to going back to palais mehdi.

Beautiful property in a tranquil setting. All staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a nice touch.
Cons: Some of the food and (mostly) drinks were overpriced in my opinion. I questioned the price tag - 90 dirham (€9) - for a small bottle of Moroccan beer (Casablanca) when other places charge 50-60. Lunch at the property was delicious however!

The place itself was beautiful, but my friend asked if he could bring a girl over, they didnt tell him that taking her to the hotel room is not allowed, they have to stay at the pool. He took her to the room, hotell staff got very mad and one of them were about to call the police, other hotel staff had to calm him down. Imagine if my friend had ended up in jail due to misunderstanding. After this incident that particular hotel staff got rude and mad, when he passed us he spoke in arabic (i believe he cursed us). And the food is very expensive. They vet water from the local market for 0,50 cent and resell it for 60 mad.

The hotel is stunning when you arrive. You are greeted and welcomed personally, by the exceptionally friendly staff. The check-in process was done without any fuss or waiting, just a tour, shown to your suite immediately, with the paperwork taken care of in the background. The pool and main are of the hotel are just beautiful! The food was very tasty and the breakfast (if a little laid back in speed, which is only a bit of an issue when you have 8:30 am meetings to get to, but to the tourist soaking up the atmosphere, would be of zero concern). The room was really spacious, and perhaps a little jaded here and there, but super clean, tidy and comfortable. By comparison to the hotels in the area (about 15 minutes from the center of Marrakesh) that I had a number of meetings in, this was by far the most beautiful, presenting the most value for money, appeared to be the most relaxing and is certainly a place I would gladly book for a holiday to relax and enjoy a very comfortable Moroccan experience!

Unique architecture. Beautiful grounds with quiet calm atmosphere. Excellent breakfast including omelets to order by the pool. Don't look to eat any meal quickly.. i was there for a nearby meeting but even better if you are looking for a romantic getaway. No stores or restaurants nearby. Property is secluded but provides a chauffeur for short hops a d will arrange for trips to town just 20 minutes away. Would stay again in a flash! Very comfortable suite. Gorgeous pool.

Grand hotel of days gone by. Maintenance needed in common areas. Gym machines were out of order. Free transfer from airport was offered, but, as our flight was delayed, chauffeur left and we had to pay for a taxi. Also, TV in room only had 3 local channels and the water in the shower was cold, so we had to ask reception to turn up the heat twice. On the positive side, hotel’s architecture and interiors impressive. Location suited us because it is situated about 15 minutes from the city centre, in a very quiet and privileged area, so it was ideal to relax after a busy day. The staff were polite, the prestige suite spacious and comfortable and the breakfast and dinner excellent. The driver did take us to the airport free of charge at 4am on our departure.

This hotel was phenomenal. The highlight of the hotel is the staff and the attention and care you get from them. It had the right mix of leaving you to enjoy the calming environment and looking after you. I booked the Prestige Suite and it was luxurious. The hotel owner Mr L. Mehdi is also very friendly and approachable. It didn't feel like a hotel, felt like we were at home. If anyone is looking for a 5 star hotel away from the hustle of the Medina, I would highly recommend Palais Mehdi. Thank you all for making this such a wonderful stay!
