Beautiful beach and facilities. The pool stood out as it connects throughout the resort and food was amazing as well
Cons: The service of the staff during check in was messy. We were not offered any welcome drink/directions on where to queue, etc. the concierge guy also had a stuck up attitude in the way he spoke and the way he communicated when we were trying to book a tour by constantly putting pressure on us with time. When we were there, the view of the beach from the pool was also blocked as some construction was being done for the sunbeds. A heads up about this would have been appreciated as we chose this place specifically for the view. Considering this is a 5 star hotel we expected better. Price of food can be on the high side

We have just finished an amazing two week stay at Melia Koh Samui. We received a room upgrade at check in which was much appreciated. The resort grounds are immaculate and the staff work so hard to keep them that way. We stayed in building 6 and the room was very nice and spacious. We highly recommend the Melia, this is our second visit. All of the staff are amazing but special thanks to Auto for the transfers, Baw and Tulu in the beach restaurant and a very special thank you to our two lovely ladies that looked after us at breakfast every morning, Bay and Pony - these girls are fantastic !

Our stay at Meliรก Koh Samui was absolutely fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, and two people who truly stood out were Van and Mateo โ their service made our stay even more special. We stayed in The Level Grand Suite, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. The food throughout the hotel was lovely, and the beachfront location couldnโt have been more perfect. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

The hotel arranged our airport transfer, which was efficient and hassle-free. On arrival, check-in was smooth and professional, and concierge Auto provided excellent service, helping with our luggage and escorting us to our room. We had a two-week stay, which allowed us to become familiar with the resort and experience it fully. This gave us a good understanding of both its strengths and the type of guest it is best suited to. Having travelled extensively with our own children, we recognise a well-designed family resort, and this hotel is clearly designed with families in mind. There are plenty of children's activities, family-friendly dining options, and beach entertainment. However, as a couple travelling without children, we found it less suited to those seeking a quieter, more refined holiday, particularly during school holidays. Locationโจ: The beachfront setting is pleasant and low-key with restaurants and a supermarket within a 5โ10 minute walk. Room: โจOur Premium Room was spacious and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, Nespresso machine, fridge, USB charging ports, bath robes, and complimentary bottled water. However, it was beginning to show some signs of wear, particularly in the bathroom, and the soundproofing could be improved, with noise from neighbouring rooms easily heard. Dining: โจBreakfast offered a good selection of Western and Asian dishes, although it became busy at peak times. The beachfront restaurant has a lovely setting, and the menu features plenty of familiar, family-friendly options. However, we felt some of the food lacked authentic flavours, and some dishes did not quite meet the standard we expected from a five-star resort. Facilitiesโจ: The pools are excellent for families but can become crowded during busy periods. Sun-bed reserving was common despite hotel notices, and pool rules were not enforced. We often arrived early to enjoy a quieter pool area before it became much busier later in the day. There is no dedicated adults-only bar or lounge. The lobby bar was not being used during our stay, although it would be a perfect setting for a quieter adult space, as is common in many international hotels. The main bar suitable for adults is located beside the children's water park, where loud bass-heavy music was frequently played. While this may suit a lively family atmosphere, it was less appealing for guests looking for a quieter place to relax. We also felt the Level upgrade offered limited value unless you intend to make full use of the complimentary drinks, particularly as there is no exclusive pool area. The tropical grounds are attractive and well maintained, although some outdoor furniture is beginning to show its age. Worn seating cushions and towels or laundry hanging from balcony railings also detracted from the resort's five-star appeal. Serviceโจ:The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The front desk team were always accommodating with requests and dealt with them efficiently. A special mention goes to Baw, who always made an extra effort to make guests feel welcome, along with the other waiting staff, who also provided excellent service. โจThis is a hotel that families with children are likely to enjoy, thanks to its wide range of facilities and beachfront location. Couples seeking a quieter, more exclusive and relaxing holiday may find an adults-focused resort better suited to their expectations.

What a place!!! We love this hotel and part of Koh Samui so much. Itโs our 2nd time here for a reasonโฆthe beach is fantastic with lots of restaurant options. As for the hotel, it is perfect for families and the staff make the experience even more special. They canโt do enough for you!!! A special thank you to Baw who has made our trip so memorable. He looked after us all week and couldnโt do enough for us!!! - literally treated us like his own family. We will be back again for sure!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Melia Koh Samui! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home. A special shoutout to Baw, who looked after us throughout our stay - attentive, warm, and always going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Bawโs genuine hospitality really made our trip memorable. We also highly recommend the cooking class led by Chef Adam. It was such a fun, hands-on experience, and Chef Adam was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing local flavors and techniques. We left with new skills and recipes we canโt wait to try at home. I also treated myself to a pregnancy massage at the spa, and it was wonderful. Our most favourite thing about the resort was the lagoon pool and being able to conveniently access it from our room. Between the beautiful setting, excellent service, and unforgettable cooking class, Melia Koh Samui exceeded all our expectations. Weโll definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family!

Where do we even begin? We cannot recommend Melia Koh Samui enough, but this review is especially dedicated to the incredible team who made our wedding and entire week perfect. Our journey with Melia started 3 years ago when our wedding planner, Faii, organised our proposal. She was so amazing that we knew immediately we had to have her plan our wedding too and she did not disappoint. For three full years, Faiiโs communication was flawless. She was clear, super organised, and made everything we asked for happen with so much ease. Anyone planning a destination wedding knows how stressful it can be, but Faii made the entire process extremely simple. She noted every single detail and orchestrated our big day from beginning to end with precision and grace. We also had many family and friends join us, so we asked Faii if we could organise a pre-wedding gathering at the Power Lounge. She transformed the room with beautiful decor, delicious food, and flowing drinks, making the space feel extra special for our guests. Words cannot explain how grateful we are for her hosting this for us. From the moment we arrived for our week-long stay, every single Melia worker made us feel like we were at our second home. The service was unbelievable, everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Other staff members even popped into the wedding to congratulate us, which touched our hearts. A huge shout-out to Faii and Maria, who welcomed us from the minute we arrived. We knew we were in great hands. The attention to detail was so precise that it made everything feel seamless. We started the day with a beautiful and meaningful Thai ceremony, and Faii walked us through every step so we understood the significance of each moment. Then, in the evening, the Western ceremony was organised to perfection. Faii, along with Marina (the restaurant manager), designed our dream wedding at the Breeza Restaurant, overlooking the magical ocean. It was everything we had ever envisioned. The night felt like a dream, complete with a fire show and fireworks that were organised so well! The staff during both ceremonies were absolutely amazing. And the food? It was out of this world. All of our guests have not stopped raving about how generous the portions were, how quickly the drinks were served, and how delicious every dish tasted. Credit goes to every single person behind the scenes who made it happen. Our family and friends felt so welcomed and had the best time of their lives. We will never forget the week of celebrations or our wedding day. Thank you, Melia Koh Samui, for making our stay and our wedding an absolute fairy tale. We are forever grateful. If you're considering having your wedding at Melia Koh Samui, don't hesitate for a second. Foodโs not bad and the beach a little crowded but we had a fun time and the kids loved it. The complex is sprawling. Took like 10 mins to walk in. So if you leave something in your car, donโt bother going back to get it unless you really need it. Service was excellent. Look for PโBaw, heโs super friendly and was very attentive to the familyโs many requests - patient and went out of his way to please us. Thank you!

The wait staff are exceptional and exceeded expectations . I would like to thank the waitstaff ( Kim, Sachi, Pink, Matteo, Zena) for making my experience memorable and always keeping my drinks filled and my belly full. The atmosphere is wonderful light and a nice breezy environment. I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and beach exploring. Would gladly stay and choose the Level experience if I returned. I visited July 2026 and found the swimmable lagoons amazing refreshing warm clean and pleasant after a busy day of sightseeing . The hotel is clean, ultra safe and the grounds are impeccable. The resort was highly recommended by travel agency and I second their nomination . I purchased tours from the onsite concierge desk (Jay) who is a fantastic expert in luxury experiences and top tier entertainment. I valued his hospitality, services and recommendations and would like to thank him for all of his recommendations and tour advice .the tours that he sold were a better value than what I was offered from my travel agent and he was able to book me a vip national park tour at the last minute after my previous booking cancelled which I had booked months in advance .

They made us feel welcome every single day with their genuine hospitality and attention to detail, and they truly made our stay even more special. Kuson from Breeza Beach restaurant was also super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our dinner because of his hospitality. The pools are probably the best in Koh Samui, with plenty of space for both families and adults to enjoy. The beachfront is absolutely beautiful, and the complimentary kayaking was a fantastic bonus that we really appreciated. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Melia Koh Samui is a true five-star hotel, not just because of its facilities, but because of the outstanding service provided by its team. It was a wonderful experience with an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The beach is beautiful, and the pool is amazing. The waitresses, Looknam and Rumi and the waiters, Krit Tiamo and Bao, are all very friendly, caring, and kind-hearted. Every time I had a problem or needed anything, they were always happy to help. They made my stay even more enjoyable. In general the whole staff was extremely friendly and polite. The hotel can be truly proud to have such friendly, professional, and dedicated staff.

Away from the hustle and bustle, the resort is still conveniently located within walking distance of a 7-Eleven, several massage shops, and a few affordable restaurants. The service was excellent. The gentleman who drove the golf cart and escorted us to the Level Lounge was exceptionally friendly. Whenever he saw us in the lobby, he greeted us warmly with a smile and always remembered that I was Mr. Chen. His kindness and attentiveness made us feel truly welcome. Special thanks to Kim from the Level Lounge. He speaks Chinese and kindly arranged a visit to the Roof Restaurant for us. The lagoon pool and our pool access room were definitely the highlights of our stay. The long, winding pool was surrounded by lush greenery and featured two fun water slides. My son absolutely loved it! The only downside was that the room could use some renovation. The toilet didn't flush very well, and the drain was a bit clogged.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at Melia Ko Samui. All the staff were so friendly and helpful although not intrusive. I loved the breakfast buffet and sitting there having a cup of tea overlooking the beautiful grounds was pure tranquility. I was lucky to book 2 of the yoga sessions with Mui. Mui was a fabulous instructor - very strong and flexible and got me into poses I didnโt know were possible. I learnt so much from Mui and am grateful for her time. Overall the resort was wonderful and in a perfect location - not too quiet and not too busy. Walking from the pool onto the beach was great. Thanks for a superb stay.

This is a wonderful hotel, perfect for a family. They are very attentive. The staff are so friendly. They have a lazy pool which is really fun for children. In particular our stay exceeded expectations by Daniel who is the bell man. He was so friendly and kind. He remembered us and made an effort to learn our names. He conversed with us and we really enjoyed his company. He deserves a promotion as he went above and beyond for us when collecting our bags or taking us around in the buggy. We also really enjoyed speaking to Adam who is one of the chefs. He makes the best omelette in the morning. He was so friendly, happy and funny. He made us laugh a lot. He also deserves recognition!! The ladies in the kids club were so attentive to our child and we felt that the children were safe there in their care, although we never left them there alone. Overall this is an excellent hotel, especially for young families with babies. They had a Steriliser in the room, potty, baby bath, nappy changing mat and toddler stool for our child to reach the sink. We were extremely impressed by this. If you can, go for a pool access room if you have children. It's really convenient to go in and out of the room and also you will get access to Club which has snacks and drinks all day in AC - perfect for littles ones in the heat.

I wish I'd had the option for a refund, they never even offered one. I would have gladly changed plans and booked an actual 5-star hotel instead.

Should put a restriction on ball games in the pool at certain times to give people so time to swim and enjoy without dodging balls etc. Plan shower room usage with 15 mins between departing guests to allow for room to be cleaned as lots of dirty towels etc.

I stayed here solo and had a really great time, excellent value for a beachfront resort. The best part is definitely the lagoon pool that winds through the hotel grounds; itโs amazing for relaxing. The staff were all nice and friendly, and they made me feel super welcome. The rooms were lovely and roomy, and the beachfront location is pretty and peaceful. Breakfast had a good selection, and everything tasted high quality.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Faii and the team at Melia Koh Samui for helping create such wonderful memories for our wedding week. Faii helped us organise both our welcome BBQ on the first evening that guests arrived and a relaxed post-wedding brunch the day after the wedding. From the very beginning, she was responsive, organised and incredibly helpful, keeping me informed throughout the planning process despite us coordinating everything from different countries. The welcome BBQ exceeded all of my expectations. Set right on the beach at sunset, it was beautifully styled with large bean bags, cocktail tables, thoughtful table dรฉcor and personalised menus. It created the perfect atmosphere for our friends and family to meet and relax before the wedding celebrations began. Faii completely understood the vision and brought it to life beautifully. We also stayed in the Presidential Suite, which was fantastic, and many of our guests chose to stay at the Melia too. This meant we were able to spend lots of quality time together around the pool and throughout the resort. While it isn't a direct sunset location, the evening skies were often painted beautiful shades of pink, making it a wonderful setting for gathering with friends and family. The post-wedding brunch was equally lovelyโcalm, relaxed and exactly what everyone needed after the celebrations. There was a great selection of food, and it was the perfect way to spend a final few hours together before guests began travelling home. We also faced several challenges in the lead-up to the wedding, including guest cancellations, flight changes and the uncertainty caused by the conflict affecting our home in Dubai. Throughout it all, Faii remained flexible, accommodating and supportive, helping us navigate changes with ease. Thank you, Faii, for helping make both the beginning and the end of our wedding celebrations so special. We are incredibly grateful.

Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, always greeting us with genuine warmth and kindness. The level of service throughout the resort was outstanding. We were greeted with warmth and kindness at every interaction. No question was too big or too small for the team. We were lucky enough to have booked the level package, meaning we had lounge access, private check in and other perks during our stay like free transport to and from the airport and a free massage. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are immaculate, the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious,there are staff out maintaining the ground every morning and they too greet you with a smile. Our boat suite was beautiful, comfortable, and was the best room we have ever stayed in during a holiday. We were able to rent a motorbike with the help of the staff at the hotel, we saw so much of what a beautiful island Koh Samui is. What made this holiday so special wasnโt just the beautiful setting, but the feeling we had throughout our stay. This was mostly due to the incredible hospitality of every single staff member. They are truly so happy to have you as their guest. Thank you to everyone at Melia Koh Samui, especially Lisa, Queen, Seen, Tamarind, Keng, the kitchen staff who made the special Loy Krathong celebration unforgettable, our driver when we arrived and departed, and all of the other staff we had the pleasure of meeting. We had a level connecting room meaning we had access to the level lounge, all the staff were so lovely. Specifically Kim, who reccomended many restaurants and activity's, booking them for us! Also made my little sister a bracelet which was adorable. Pink and fern were also very helpful remembering all our names! We were very happy about the compensation given due to the main pool being closed. 1,000 baht a day of, and 15% of drinks + happy hour almost all day!. The staff at the kids club were very friendly and kind to my little sister. Especially Ribbon. They helped me learn many Thai words!

I booked a Pool Level Room for a 10-night stay approximately one month in advance. At the time of booking, there was no mention of any renovation work taking place at the hotel. A week after booking, the hotel emailed me requesting the names of all guests and asking me to reconfirm the reservation. I promptly provided the information. Once again, there was no mention whatsoever of ongoing renovations or disruption to guest facilities. The first indication that anything might be wrong came while we were travelling from Koh Samui Airport to the hotel, when my daughter happened to read a recent TripAdvisor review mentioning renovation work around the pool area. Upon arrival, the experience did not improve. There was no welcome or assistance with luggage, reception was extremely busy, and we unloaded our own bags and waited to check in. During check-in I asked directly whether there was any renovation work taking place. The receptionist confirmed there was work being carried out near the pool but stated that it was only decking work and would not affect the pool itself. When I asked why we had not been informed in advance, he said we should have been notified but was unsure why we had not. No apology was offered. When I explained that this was unacceptable, I was asked to wait for a manager. The manager eventually informed me that the renovation project had overrun and that there was construction noise around the pool throughout the day, including electric saws and other building work. When I again asked why I had not been informed before travelling, his response was, โI think we did, maybe you missed it, but I believe you when you say you didnโt receive it.โ This response was disappointing. Whether a notification had been sent should have been easy for the hotel to verify. More importantly, the issue was not whether I was being โbelievedโ; it was that I had arrived for a 10-night holiday only to discover significant disruption that had never been communicated to me beforehand. Had I been informed in advance, I would have had the opportunity to cancel or book alternative accommodation at a reasonable price. Instead, I discovered the situation after arriving on the island, leaving me with limited options and forcing me to secure alternative accommodation at a substantially higher rate. When I explained this, the managerโs response was essentially, โWhat do you want me to do?โ The only solution offered was credit in the Melia loyalty programme, which was of no practical value given that the holiday had already been disrupted and I needed somewhere else to stay immediately. In the end, I chose not to stay and booked accommodation elsewhere. The contrast in service was remarkable. Upon arrival at the alternative hotel, we were greeted at the car, assisted immediately, and made to feel welcome from the outsetโthe level of service I would normally expect from a five-star property in Thailand. The most disappointing aspect of this experience was not the renovation work itself. Hotels sometimes need to carry out maintenance and upgrades. The real issue was the complete failure to communicate the disruption in advance and the apparent lack of concern when the problem was raised. Future guests should be aware that if ongoing renovation work is likely to affect their stay, they may not necessarily be informed before arrival. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

However, along with many guests this was the beginning of the worst experience in a hotel I have ever had through my many years of travel in Asia Major construction work was being undertaken at the hotel , not simple maintenance but axel grinding full on constitution and hammering etc from dusk until dawn Unable to hear each other speak around the pool with clouds of dust a burning smell and shards of metal found in the pool we complained along with multiple other guests. There were no signs to say this was happening , no notification at booking , on website or check in This was a 10 day booking for a relaxing end to our Thailand holiday โฆ I will never return to a Melia and will ensure that everyone I know is aware that this brand cares about profit above the experience of it guests ! Back to the Amari or Hyatt for me ! Shame on you Melia what a poor experience Iโm sure many more angry posts to follow from other guests as we are currently in a queue to complain along with numerous other guests Had we not had the issue at the beginning and had to rebook thus paying twice whilst awaiting a refund we would have packed up and left immediately ! My wife and I had a marvellous afternoon with Chef Adam and his assistant Pony who took us through cooking 4 different courses. You also have the bonus of eating all of it as well. Adam was full of knowledge and fun to be with. Pony looked after us making sure we were comfortable and always at hand to take plenty of photos. I shall definitely be cooking the food when I get home. Thank you Adam and Pony for a fabulous afternoon.

Loved the property on the whole, especially how close it is to the airport and the soft white sandy beach that can still be swam at during low tide. River pool great and offered my little one lots of excitement on the various kids club and water slide features. Staff throughout our stay were fabulous, as was the food!! Also enjoyed the Club Level lounge access, although we only used it once.
Cons: The main pool was under repair, so we didnโt get the full experience (although I appreciated the alternative activities they provided guests at this time). Some updating around the river pool is required and it would be so much better if there were public toilets near the river pool swim up bar - not great to have to walk all the way to the main lobby or the closed beach pool! Would have really appreciated an evening turn down service, especially for Lounge Club access guests.

Cons: Unfortunately, we found the hotel to be lacking in a number of areas, especially when considering this hotel is on the more expensive side for Koh Samui. We were informed a day before our arrival that the main pool would be closed for maintenance for the bulk of our stay, although disappointing we were ok with this because it was set to reopen the last 2 days of our stay, of course we received a note that the maintenance was to be extended for another 2 weeks! This left a small โlazy riverโ pool available, this was mainly a kids pool with attached slide and infringes on the private swim up pools. To compensate we were offered just 10% off the food NOT including beverages. And thatโs not all of the maintenance, they also flushed the plumbing which led to a stench in the room that I had to call housekeeping to resolve and the water was momentarily brown. Though quickly resolved by the team. Aside from the maintenance, the beach area was pleasant, however the hotel should be mindful of the guest experience when it comes to the constant interruption of street vendors who also loiter around the sunbeds for most of the day. Transfer to and from the airport (5 mins) for 900 baht is expensive when compared to taxis across the island (or the rest of Thailand!) - book your own. Hotel needs to be fair to guests and this comes across as another way for the hotel to money grab.

For our first stay on Koh Samui the Meliรก ticked all the boxes albeit with a few quirks. We had booked a Level pool access room and when prompted by an email from the Meliรก a few weeks out from the stay I requested a king bed - more on this later. Three days before check in we received a welcome email from the Level that was full of information and a note that the Level lounge was closed and the Power Lounge was being used instead. This prompted us to search online and we also discovered that the main pool was also closed. We decided to go ahead with the booking knowing that the experience was not going to be what we had planned or paid a premium rate for. The room: The weirdest layout we have encountered, mainly due to the twin beds being pushed together so the power outlets were then in the middle of the massive bed, only one side had a side table and the bed linen didnโt fit properly - an inventive way to meet my king bed request?. Other power outlets also strangely located next to the couch without a table near by. The water in the outdoor tub always ran a murky yellow which was off putting. After swimming around the lagoon pool we think that our room was one of the better ones (614) as it was sunny in the morning and not too shaded in the afternoon. Housekeeping was good although we never had turndown service which we thought was included in the Level room. The pool access: Fantastic and easily our favourite thing about the hotel. The spa: We had a great massage but the whole space felt like it was designed for another use, sitting and having ginger tea after the massage right in front of the reception desk/computer that was printing our bill was another off putting quirk. I went back and used the sauna on another day, also strange as there was no shower or cool off facilities (that I was shown at least). The breakfast: Amazing, one of the better buffets - hot food was hot and there was also ice cream! Service was attentive too. The Location: Such an amazing calm sea and beautiful beach and sunrise was spectacular. Enough restaurants and other conveniences close by. The Service: A bit hit and miss, one gent in particular (sorry I am terrible with names) was great, he showed us to our room and was also the driver that picked us up from Samui Central. A highlight was the free Thai Boxing session - worth taking the time to do it. The lowlight was the lack of communication that the Level and main pool were shut until the day of our free cancellation period, the pool had been shut for days so it could have and should been communicated earlier. All up there were enough good points to the hotel (and location) that we would love to come back when all the facilities are open to have the โfullโ Level experience, just a shame that this particular stay was impacted by their โunplannedโ renovations.

We had an amazing stay at Melia Koh Samui during our trip as a couple. We were very lucky with the weather, as it didnโt rain at all, which made the experience even more perfect. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear water and a stunning beach that creates a relaxing and romantic atmosphere. Another great thing is the location, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, and a 7-Eleven is just a short walk away, making everything very convenient. One highlight you definitely shouldnโt miss is The Breeza restaurant inside the hotel. The Spanish fried rice was absolutely delicious, and every steak dish we tried was premium quality and perfectly cooked. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. Both the front desk staff and restaurant team were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. The room was also very clean, stylish, and well-maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel for couples looking for a relaxing getaway in Koh Samui.

The piece alone that killed the experience for us was the quality of the food. We ordered room service after a long day, but the cost was exorbitant and the quality was subpar โ for example, the mango in our dessert had clearly been sitting out exposed for a period of time as it was browningโฆ something I havenโt seen once in any food during my time in Thailand through May at any other hotel or restaurant. The sides that came with our ribeye did not feel fresh or flavorful at all. Additionally, our breakfast to go meal for our flight was lackingโฆ other hotels had been far more generous and flexible with their breakfast buffets for us; it felt like we had been given a packed school lunch. Out of all the food we had across three countries, seven hotels, and many restaurants, the food was genuinely some of the most offputting and disappointing. For a hotel thatโs listed on AMEXโs Fine Hotels and Resorts, I had higher expectations. Might stay again for the nice facilities and people, but probably not for anything related to food.

We spent 9 wonderful days at this amazing hotel, and the pool truly made our vacation! We couldn't have chosen a better place in terms of aesthetics and overall experience for us and our young children (ages 3.5 and 5). The two rooms we booked were incredibly spacious and comfortable. That being said, there were a few logistical and safety issues. We found it quite inconvenient that there was no guest elevator, which meant we had to constantly carry our strollers up and down the stairs. Regarding the pool, while beautiful, the edges and pool steps have some rough/sharp areas that caused multiple cuts on our feet (I personally got a fairly deep cut). Additionally, the path to the kids' pool gets dangerously hot in the sun; we walked there barefoot and actually got burns on the soles of our feet, which forced us to carry the children and borrow flip-flops from other guests just to walk back. As a vegan family, the dining experience was initially quite a struggle. Despite notifying the hotel in advance and receiving assurances that they were prepared for us, this wasn't the reality upon arrival. Some staff members lacked basic knowledge about veganism (for example, a waiter incorrectly claimed the dry pasta contained eggs but the sauce was vegan). For the first two days, we had very little to eat until the chef finally managed to order vegan cheese following our feedback. Even then, the options were mostly limited to pizza, with no meat substitutes or tofu integrated into the standard dishes without a special request. However, after a few days, the breakfast situation improved immensely! The chef went above and beyond, preparing delicious vegan croissants and pancakes that our kids absolutely loved, along with a fantastic tofu scramble with avocado for protein. Lastly, I want to give a massive thank you to Zena from the hotel staff. She welcomed us with a warm smile on our very first day and was incredibly helpful and attentive until the moment we left. Our kids completely fell in love with her- she is truly wonderful and a huge asset to the hotel!

Amazing location if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation but still lots of options around to eat out, massage, convenience stores, bars. Choeng Mon is a quiet and relaxing part of the island. The hotel facilities and the rooms are kept extremely clean and the staff is very kind and attentive to the guests. The breakfast has great variety and good quality food for all kinds of diet needs. Service at the restaurant and the beach was exceptional as well. As a solo traveler, I also appreciated the staff coming over and having a chat everyday.
Cons: I would suggest the hotel consider introducing a clearer gym policy regarding filming and social media content creation. Some guests were using tripods to record content and were effectively occupying large parts of the gym for extended periods of time. This made the space uncomfortable and less accessible for other guests. The gym is a shared facility, and guests should be able to use it freely without worrying about being filmed or appearing on social media unintentionally. Clearer guidelines around filming and equipment setup in shared spaces would greatly improve the experience for everyone.

We have just returned back from the Melia with our children aged 6 & 9. This is our 3rd time staying here. I have nothing but good to say about this hotel. This hotel is in a lovely setting. Itโs very clean. ALL of the staff are amazing. They all work so hard. I canโt recommend it enough. As we have been before we have got to know a lot of the staff and itโs so lovely to have such a lovely welcome back. Our children love the kids club. Ribbon, DaDa, GiGi & Mui are so lovely, kind, caring. It so nice to have a great kids club. They do so much with the children. We are very grateful knowing that our children are very well looked after & kept safe. Thank you ladies. The pools are great too. We have never had problems getting subbeds. The staff around the pool are fantastic. Baw & Krit are great. They always go an extra mile to help. The service they give you is brilliant. The employees in the hotel, especially โKโ always had a smiled, looked for ways to help and nothing was ever hardwork, a very different story to UK hotels. For our honeymoon, we booked The Level Grand Suite for 8 nights. Two days before arrival, we were informed that the main pool would be undergoing unforeseen maintenance. This was disappointing as it was one of our main reasons for booking this hotel. However, after a couple of emails, we were offered a room change to one of the Boat Suites with pool access (since the loop/river pool was still open). From the moment we checked in, the staff was extremely welcoming and super friendly. Especially Kim, Tamarind, Zena, Nat, K, Rainy, Rainbow, Siri and Pink (just to name a few, though the entire team is superb). Also, as a celiac, they took extra good care of me during breakfast and at The Level Lounge, ensuring everything was safe and gluten-free. Thank you to the amazing team for looking after us so well on our honeymoon!

Das Frรผhstรผck war herausragend lecker ๐๐ผ und das Personal 12/10! Alles sehr sauber! Es wurde uns jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen! Der Strand und das Restaurant Breeza auch sehr sehr schรถn! Aktivitรคten, Zimmerservice alles TOP!
Cons: Leider wurde der Pool renoviert als wir dort waren, allerdings haben wir viele Rabatte dadurch erhalten und ein kostenfreies Abendessen! Das hat es fรผr uns wieder gut gemacht! Dennoch ein paar Punkte Abzug, da es so kurzfristig kommuniziert wurde und am Strand Baustellengerรคusche sehr stรถrend waren.

We absolutely loved our stay at Melia Koh Samui and honestly wish we had stayed longer than 9 nights! We travelled with our 2.5 year old son and the resort was perfect for families. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, with amazing pools, water slides, a fantastic toddler splash pool and a great kids club. There were so many activities for both adults and children, but also plenty of relaxing areas to unwind. The restaurants at the resort were excellent and we loved the location on Choeng Mon Beach. There are lots of restaurants, bars and massage places right outside the hotel, and it was easy to get transport to other areas of Koh Samui. What really made the stay special though was the staff. Every single staff member was warm, friendly and incredible with our son, which made such a difference travelling with a toddler. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend Melia Koh Samui for families, couples or anyone wanting a relaxing but fun stay in Koh Samui.

We had a wonderful stay at Meliรก Koh Samui. The hotel is very beautiful with a great design and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was very clean, and all the facilities were amazing and well maintained. The breakfast was also very good with many choices available every morning. The only disappointing thing during our stay was that the main pool was closed for maintenance. There was another pool available, but it was not as comfortable for us to use. Overall, we still had a perfect experience and really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location and very clean. Staff were so polite and attentive throughout the whole complex. Our room was well tended to daily and we loved the swim up room. Be aware though some rooms might be in the shade for most of the day. The level here was disappointing compared to other locations within Melia.

From the moment we step in, we were welcome and treated like kings. We included the level service and this was beyond our expectations. Kim, Runi, Zena and tamarind were great. This hotel DOES NOT do day passes or beach club access. Ignore any website or review saying it does. We emailed two separate email addresses and phoned ahead - no response on the website phone or email address, so we risked a taxi over by mid-afternoon as we found a website that included prices and terms. I canโt comment on the facilities as we didnโt see them and were told we could stop for lunch but would not be allowed to use the facilities at all, so heed this warning and donโt waste your time like we did. The Deck in BoPhut has a pool / bar access if thatโs what youโre looking for explicitly

Had such an amazing stay at this resort! Everything from start to finish was smooth, stress-free, and honestly exceeded expectations. Our family recently spent a week at Melia Koh Samui this March, and it was hands down one of the most relaxing and seamless vacations weโve ever had. We stayed in The Level room with poolside access, which I cannot recommend enough. Having direct access to the water right from our room made the logistics with children so much easier and more enjoyable. What truly makes this resort special, however, is the incredible staff. They are exceptionally kid friendly, which took all the stress out of our stay. We felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Cons: Overall, my stay at this hotel was quite disappointing and did not meet expectations for the price paid. While there were a few acceptable aspects, several key areas fell short and significantly affected the overall experience. The breakfast spread was very limited, with minimal variety and little effort to cater to different preferences. This made each morning feel repetitive and underwhelming. The toiletries provided were also of poor quality and appeared to be generic, unbranded items, which gave a rather budget feel instead of a comfortable hotel experience. In terms of room facilities, the shower water pressure was extremely weak, making it inconvenient to use. The air conditioning was also problematic โ it seemed to be malfunctioning and made the room uncomfortably cold with little control. Cleanliness and environment were also concerns. There were people smoking in various areas, including both tobacco and what appeared to be weed, which created an unpleasant atmosphere throughout the property. The amenities did not live up to expectations either. About half of the jacuzzi facilities were not working, limiting their usability. The gym was also underwhelming, with only a very limited selection of machines, making it difficult to have a proper workout. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in maintenance, amenities, and guest experience to justify its pricing.

I highly recommend this hotel. When I return to Koh Samui, I will definitely stay here again โ for its great location, quality service, excellent facilities, beautiful beach, and outstanding breakfast. The gym is small but well equipped, perfectly adequate for maintaining fitness, though not designed for high-performance training. A special mention to Tun, who was consistently attentive, friendly, and always available to help. The hotel also arranged a birthday surprise, which we truly appreciated. The only point to improve would be the availability of more trash bins around the hotel. Thank you.

Our final day staying at Meliรก in ok Samui. The hotel is superb, friendly staff, clean and wonderfully kept gardens. Wonderful breakfasts. The list is endless. Right on the beach so easy to hop from pool to sea. Resort is just what we wanted too, enough options for food and drinks and not too busy too especially as itโs our honeymoon trip. Dear Management Team of Melia Koh Samui, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction regarding my arrival experience at your hotel today. I traveled with my two children and had anticipated this stay for several months. More than three months prior to my arrival, I clearly communicated via email my specific needs as a person with a disability. I explicitly requested a room located on the ground floor, close to both the pool and the beach, in order to accommodate my physical limitations. Following your teamโs response, I was advised to cancel my initial Premium Room reservation due to its location on an upper floor and to rebook a Deluxe Room instead. I followed these instructions in good faith, canceling my original reservation and making a new one accordingly. However, upon arrival today, I was met with a complete lack of consideration, empathy, and professionalism from your reception staff, specifically BB and Van. Despite clearly explaining my physical condition, presenting my disability card, and detailing my inability to walk long distances or stand for extended periods due to severe back issues, no appropriate solution was offered. I was made to wait nearly two hours at reception without any meaningful assistance. The only options presented were either to walk excessive distancesโwhich I explicitly stated I am physically unable to doโor to wait standing for a buggy, which is equally unsuitable given my condition. When I asked for a direct way to contact buggy services to avoid standing, I was told this was not possible. Furthermore, I was offered a boat suite that was not suitable for me and my two children. Even more concerning, I was told to take that room for one of my sons while I would stay in another room with my other child, meaning I would have to book and pay for an additional room and leave my 11-year-old son alone. This suggestion is not only unrealistic but also highly irresponsible. I was also asked to pay a significant additional fee for a more suitable room location, which gave the impression that resolving my accessibility needs was secondary to generating extra revenue. I must also highlight the deeply disrespectful behavior displayed when one of your staff members spoke at length in Thai with her supervisor in front of me, despite both being capable of speaking English. This created a clear sense of exclusion and lack of transparency. In addition, I was not provided with a room before 3:00 PM. While waiting by the pool itself would not have been an issue, the accumulation of everything that had already occurred made this delay even more frustrating, especially given my condition and the complete lack of care and respect shown. I have stayed in many hotels, including high-end establishments, and I have never encountered such a level of indifference, incompetence, and disregard for a guest with a disability. This experience falls far below the standards expected from a brand like Melia. There is no point in responding to this complaint with a generic apology. I clearly informed your staff, on site, that I would be reporting this experience publicly, and I was told โgo ahead, no problem.โ Therefore, please do not reply with statements suggesting that I should have informed you or given you the opportunity to address the situation, as I did so from the very first moment. Cool concept and a beautifully designed resort! We really enjoyed the boat theme and the continuous pool that loops around the property, especially with direct access from the level entry rooms. Checkin was smooth and professional, thanks to Lisa, and we appreciated the upgrade to one of the boat suites. The suites themselves are quirky and fun to stay in, compact sleeping space, but a very spacious bathroom and closet. The swim up access is a great touch, with comfortable loungers and easy entry to the pool. The pool itself is a highlight, with different zones as you move around, plus a swim up bar. The Level lounge is a great perk, offering complimentary breakfast, snacks, soft drinks, and evening cocktails with canapรฉs. The only downside was that daytime snacks werenโt always well stocked around lunchtime. Breakfast overall had a good selection. The Level lounge offers ร la carte options like waffles, pancakes, and toast alongside a buffet, while the main restaurant also has plenty of variety, though the atmosphere felt a bit too family oriented for us. Overall, a great hotel with strong theming almost like a Disney style resort. We really enjoyed our 4-night stay as a couple, but it does lean more toward a family friendly experience, so weโd especially recommend it for those traveling with kids.

Second time back to the Melia and we havenโt been disappointed. Lovely hotel with great location that has a boutique feel. All of the staff are happy, welcoming and canโt do enough for you. Standout person - Baw - amazing friendly pool/sunbed guy always checking in on you for your every need. This year we had levels access - not sure it is worth it - very slow breakfast food service (although itโs all great!) and most of what you can get is available at the normal breakfast place. Staff attentive and friendly - especially Tamarind and Kim. Pool could do with a few more options of sunbeds in the shade (maybe a canopy over a section as it gets SO hot!! Weโve already booked for next year โฆ

We had a wonderful stay at the Melia Koh Samui and would happily recommend it. It was our 3. stay at these perfect place. We booked a Level Pool Access Room, which was definitely a highlight of our trip. Having direct access to the pool made our stay feel even more relaxing and exclusive. A special mention goes to the entire team at the Level Lounge. Their service was outstanding throughout our stayโalways attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. They truly made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The breakfast staff also deserves praise. Most of the team was very friendly, motivated, and made a great effort to ensure guests had a pleasant start to the day. We would also like to highlight one staff member in particularโour โbig suitcase friendโ with glasses. He was always incredibly helpful, assisted us with our luggage and transport, and even gave us useful tips during our stay. Unfortunately, we couldnโt remember all the names, but his kindness really stood out. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with excellent service, and we would definitely come back next year.

Tolle Lage in der Bucht mit einem wunderschรถnen Sandstrand und einem tollen Meer. Die komplette Anlage ist wie ein kleines Paradies und super gepflegt. Dort kann man sich super erholen und zur Ruhe kommen. Die Hotelzimmer waren sehr schรถn und sehr sauber. Das tรคgliche gratis Hotelprogramm hat uns ebenfalls sehr zugesprochen. Das Frรผhstรผck war super lecker, frisch und sehr viel Auswahl. Eigentlich alles, was man sich wรผnscht. Von frisch gepressten Sรคften bis hin zu frischen Omelett und Sรผรgebรคck. Das Personal war super hilfsbereit und immer sehr nett. Insbesondere Siri, Pop und Runi hatten sich sehr um unser Wohlbefinden gekรผmmert und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genieรbar gemacht. Die Lage des Hotels ist super, um sich mit einer kurzen Taxifahrt die Tempelanlagen anzusehen. Auch zum Flughafen ist es nur ein kurzer Weg. Allerdings ist von den Flugzeugen nichts zu hรถren. Der Sonnenuntergang ist sehr atemberaubend in der Bucht.

Spent six nights here earlier this month. My husband and I were with another couple and we were all enormously impressed by this hotel, from the moment of arrival until our departure. The hotel is extremely well appointed, in a beautiful position right on an immaculate beach and has the most wonderful staff who cater for your every need. We found the breakfasts excellent with a wide range of food available. We also made use of the lunch facility in the pool/ beach area. There were a good number of sun beds, on the beach, above the beach and in pool loungers. Staff did remove towels from beds which had been unused for some time but were considerate if told you were โgoing for lunchโ or a โwander down the beachโ. There was also a very well equipped play area for children which was away from the main pool. On one occasion when there was a heavy downpour we were transported back to our room by golf buggy! Nothing is too much bother! All of the hotel was spotlessly clean. We had an extremely comfortable bedroom and a covered veranda with light and a fan which was well used in the evenings. We canโt think of anything to critics - just wish we had booked for longer

We stayed at Meliรก Koh Samui for one week as part of our honeymoon, and honestly, it could not have been a more perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at homeโcared for, looked after, and surrounded by thoughtful details that made our stay truly special. It was the perfect ending to our honeymoon. Our room had direct access to the pool, which was simply amazing. It allowed us to relax during the day and enjoy a peaceful swim straight from the comfort of our own roomโsuch a luxury and one of our favorite parts of the stay. The service across the entire hotel is exceptional. The reception and The Level team were always attentive and kindโspecial thanks to Siri and Pink (I do not remember all the names, but the entire teams was very warm with us, MANY THANKS!). They made us feel extra welcome. We also want to highlight the concierge team (Kord, Dean, Ne, Autoโฆ), who were always ready to help with a smile and made everything effortless for us. The breakfasts were wonderful, both at The Level and the main restaurant. The variety and quality were outstandingโeverything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool area is simply spectacular, right in front of the sea, with plenty of sunbeds both by the pool and directly on the beach. We loved being able to enjoy both throughout the day depending on our mood. The hotelโs beach is quite spacious, with crystal-clear water and a beautiful setting, and there are also several bars and restaurants along the shore One of the most memorable experiences was the beachfront buffet dinner organized by the hotel. The food was delicious, and the evening felt very special, with a lovely local show that made it even more unique. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, with all kinds of services nearby and easy access to some of the best beaches on the island. We highly recommend visiting Crystal Bay, just 20 minutes awayโitโs absolutely stunning. The hotel is also very convenient for exploring the main tourist attractions around Koh Samui. Every detail, every smile, and every interaction made this stay unforgettable. We truly couldnโt have chosen a better hotel for such a special trip. We hope to come back someday!

I loved this beautiful hotel and the welcoming I received was wonderful. Customer Service is obviously very important to Melia hotels and all the staff I met were exceptional. The gardens and the design of the hotel was excellent and invoked a sense of calm. My last night I attended the fire show on the beach and dinner. It was a perfect ending to my stay.

A lovely hotel, our room was big and was exactly as shown online. Staff cannot do enough for you. Too many staff to mention but would like to say thank you to Lucy, Paul, Miew and Selema. We ate a couple of times at the hotel, food was nice. We stayed two weeks, the first week there was no problem with people putting their towels on the sunbeds but was a problem the second week, maybe staff could keep more of an eye on this. Overall an amazing holiday.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die moderne und sehr saubere Anlage, das abwechslungsreiche Frรผhstรผck (inkl. frisch gepresster Sรคfte). Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und nicht weit vom Flughafen entfernt, dennoch bekommt man keinen Fluglรคrm mit. Es sind sowohl am Pool als auch am Strand ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. Man bekommt tรคglich frische Pool-/Strandhandtรผcher und kann auch leckeres Essen an der Beachbar bestellen. Dank des zum Teil flachen Wassers im Pool scheint das Hotel auch fรผr Kinder geeignet zu sein. Unweit des Hotels gibt es einen 7/11 sowie viele kleine Restaurants, die man fuรlรคufig erreichen kann. Auรer man mรถchte es, besteht keine Notwendigkeit die Anlage zu verlassen. Neben der fantastischen Anlage mรถchten wir den exzellenten Service hervorheben. Die Mitarbeitenden waren jederzeit herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We stayed for 10 nights. Having experienced a few 5 star hotels , this is definitely a 4 Star. The grounds are pleasant and maintained well. However, the seats by the lazy river had filthy seat pads. The small pool bar had a childโs slide and play area attached,and pumped out loud music. The main pool by the beach was nice but most sun loungers were reserved early. On the beach guests on sun loungers in rows by the beach restaurant were moved at 3pm so the staff could arrange tables in front for evening dining and a couple of bbqs and shows. The bbq food was a buffet and rather uninspiring sadly, but the ร la carte had more variety. All food and drinks in the hotel were very overpriced. There were around 8 premium padded sun loungers that were left unused as they required you to spend ยฃ70 in food and drinks for the day to have them- and that was up to 6pm, whatever time you chose to take them from. Even then you had to find a waiter to serve you. The large lounge and bar at the front of the hotel was always empty. I never saw a single person use the bar the whole time we were there. It was a wasted space. There were a few bars and restaurants within walking distance in the town but not many people eating and drinking in them. Even the Irish bar was almost empty most nights. Everything shut at 10pm. We did regularly see guests using the hotel gym around 9pm on our way back to our room though! ! There were a few restaurants on the beach which had more of a vibe , and one had good live musicians performing a few times which was lovely, but again, not very busy. Maybe it was because there were a lot of people with young families staying in the area who ate out before us and turned in for the night when we went out around 7.30? The staff were friendly enough but there was no information on tours at the hotel so we just used Viator. We would take a taxi for ยฃ12 each way most nights to the Fishermanโs village where at least there was some evening atmosphere and some bars were open later. The walking market was an experience and we loved the tours we booked. On the whole I would say this hotel is for young families and the area very quiet. The rooms were tired , not really configured properly - a bathtub on the balcony yet barely any hanging space for clothes. There is also only one lift used mainly for luggage from the desks in the foyer. There is no lift on the other side of the hotel - our side- so we had 2 double flights of stairs to navigate every day to and from breakfast and the grounds. Having recently stayed at the 5 Star Hyatt Regency this comes a very poor second in every respect, even though this hotel charges 5 star prices. We had a nice time, but it didnโt make us want to return Iโm afraid.

We arrived at the Melia Koh Samui on the 20 February for a 17 night stay. We had a Level Boat Suite 15, which was a lovely spacious suite with a view over the pool to the beach and sea. We loved having the option of being able to sit on the spacious deck area. The hotel was immaculate and the grounds beautifully maintained. We were on a bed and breakfast board as there are so many fantastic restaurants within a couple of minutes walk along the beach and street. We used our access to the Level club area for our breakfast every morning, where we ate a variety of freshly cooked breakfasts or had the option of an extensive buffet. This area was also nice to visit on our way back to our boat for โafternoon teaโ and to go to for a cocktail or glass of wine during โHappy Hourโ. We have to give a very special thanks to the following people who work in the Level club area and were so attentive and welcoming: Keng who made us the most delicious mimosas and we wish him a very happy retirement Kim who always greeted us with our chosen glass of wine. We were so sorry that we missed him as we left and did not get to say goodbye, as he was on his break. Lisa, Zena, Pink, Tamarind and Queen who always greeted us with the biggest smiles and were so attentive. These people really made our holiday and became our friends and we would like our thanks to be passed on to them. We spent most of our holiday on the beautiful beach in front of the hotel. Unfortunately we were caught up with the consequences of the troubles in the Middle East and had our flights cancelled. The hotel staff sorted out an extension to our stay with no questions. We were due to leave on 8 March but ended staying until 11 March. This eased our worries as how and when we would be able to get home. If we had to be really picky there are a few things that we suggest: - the sunbeds on the beach are far too close to one another and perhaps having the area in front of Breeza as another sunbed area could help to have more space between beds - We are a couple travelling without children and there were many other couples like us staying as well as families. Whilst we understand and knew at the time of booking that there would be families, it would have been nice for an adults only bar, perhaps in the Level, for Happy Hour. There did seem to be a large unused area in the main building in the evening - could this be utilised for families? - With regards to our boat suite, the decking area was a lovely place to relax, however settee bed had cushions on that became extremely hot in the sunshine and extremely wet when it rained! It may be more practical to have sunbeds and bean bags on the deck as there is a lot of wasted space.

We had a great time at the pool bar! The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Itโs a perfect spot to sit by the pool and enjoy a drink. The staff were very friendly, especially Khaofang, who was very welcoming and took good care of us. They also have Happy Hour from 14:00โ16:00, which is a great time to come for drinks. Really nice vibe, beautiful place, and great service. I would happily come back again

I had the most wonderful experience in Baliโs Melia where I got engaged, so I thought I would have the same experience here. The staff is Iovely, warm and incredible, the hotel is very family friendly which makes it a little hard to enjoy when you donโt have children. I paid for the level upgrade, hoping it was the same as in Bali, however there was no separate adult area and no separate pool area. Not enough floating tires to go around the โmerryโ trail in the pool, the pool bar isnโt in a very nice spot either. It would have been nice to be able to stay in the pool later and one that was deep enough. The level was nice however again, it doesnโt compare to the Bali experience I had at all. The difference is the range of coffee and food and the buffees I looked at but opted out as it was not like the Bali experience I had. The food is gorgeous but the level needs more โgrown upโ food. The massage place is heaven!!!!!! I had Mariam in their signature massage and Iโve never felt better. Worth every single penny. Kim, wawa, pop were the highlight and really stood out. All the others are also very lovely! But those three you really remember. Keng and his English accent is awesome. I would def recommend the hotel, but it needs an upgrade. Itโs not tired, itโs well looked after but needs to be a different experience for childless adults coming. The pool bar menu needs an upgrade too. Management was here during the visit which was a exciting as Iโve followed Melia for a long time and stayed al sol boena and Melia.

We stayed at this hotel as I was already a Meliรฃ gold member and had seen the great reviews and this hotel did not disappoint. Firstly the location is excellent. The hotel is ideally located on a beautiful stretch of Choeng Mon beach with quick access to the main road to either Chaweng and Lamai in one direction and Bo Phut and Fisherman's village in the other direction. The hotel itself is really well laid out and pretty and we found the rooms very spacious and well thought out. The pool area is large, with plenty of sunbeds available round it and also on the beach. Finally the food was also excellent, with a great selection at the breakfast buffet and the restaurant onsite served high quality food and beverages. What really sets this hotel apart however is the staff. They are experts at making you feel welcome and couldn't do enough for you. Wanted to give Baw a special mention, he made such an effort to make our stay magical and we can't thank him enough for his great restaurant recommendations and general smiles and laughs round the pool. Also thanks to Rainbow at check in who was very accommodating when we wanted to upgrade our room. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Koh Samui. We're looking forward to returning in the future.

My partner and I stayed at Meliรก Koh Samui with our little son August, who was around 8 months old at the time. It was truly one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The rooms, the beautiful surroundings, and especially the staff made our parental leave trip unforgettable. Every morning when we arrived at the Level Lounge for breakfast, we were welcomed so warmly. The staff always remembered our coffee preferences, how we liked our eggs prepared, and many other small details. What made the stay even more special was how incredibly kind and attentive everyone was towards our son. They were so sweet with him and often helped entertain him for a few minutes so we could enjoy our breakfast peacefully. As parents of a small baby, that meant a lot. The breakfast was outstanding โ both in the Level Lounge and in the main restaurant. The hotel gym was also very well equipped and comfortable to use. On our departure day, we checked out in the afternoon but didnโt need to be at the airport until the evening. The hotel allowed us to continue using the pool and even provided a room where we could shower and change before leaving. Our luggage was handled and transported for us the entire time. The level of service was exceptional. When we return to Koh Samui in the future, there is no doubt that we will stay at Meliรก again. The entire staff deserves huge praise, but especially the team in the Level Lounge who made our stay truly special: Tamarind, Sachi, Pink, Pin, Kim, Bell, Queen, Zena, Lisa, Keng, Maya and Tidah โ thank you so much for everything.

Great location with plenty of sunbeds on the beach available although the pool was a hotbed of towels hogging loungers and prime spots. Gym was good. Breakfast was fabulous. We choose to eat out for all other meals as the restaurant was very expensive for food and drinks and you really donโt need to pay UK prices in Thailand anywhere! Great eateries very close for fraction of the price. Long sprawling layout of the hotel does make for a bit of walking but mostly flat. Enjoyed the table tennis and kayaks that were available to use. Swimming pool was like bath water! Way too warm not refreshing at all more for show than a pool youโd actually swim in, but the residents with small children seam to like it.

This was our fourth visit to Meliรก Koh Samui (Choeng Mon Beach), and I genuinely consider it my happy place. In fact, the Meliรก brand as a whole has become our go-to โ weโve stayed with them in Ibiza several times, Bali around five times, and even Manchester (weather aside!). Thereโs a consistency to the experience that keeps us coming back. Our December 2024 stay was wonderful. The weather was a little hit and miss, but it somehow added to the charm. The hotel looked beautiful โ fairy lights everywhere and a huge Christmas tree that made the whole place feel magical. Christmas Day on the beach was brilliant. Guests and staff alike made the effort, and it created such a warm, celebratory atmosphere. We returned again on 12 April 2025 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary โ another two weeks of sun, sand, and Chang. Previously weโd stayed in the boat suites and opted for The Level service, which is a great offering. This time, because we tend to eat out and explore a lot, we booked a standard room โ though as a Gold member I was fortunate enough to receive a cheeky upgrade, which was very much appreciated. The hotel itself is always spotless. The Breezer Bar serves very good food, and the entire team โ reception, pool staff, and The Level team โ are attentive without being overbearing, always cheerful, and endlessly patient with my terrible attempts at speaking Thai. However, this trip became something none of us could ever have imagined. I suffered a catastrophic heart attack on the beach. The swift response of the staff quite literally saved my life. Baw (or Bau) from the pool team and another colleague carried me into the air-conditioned area near Breezers Bar. Otto from reception/porter services arrived with a buggy, lifted me under his arm, held onto me during the trip to reception, and stayed with me until the ambulance arrived โ using smelling salts and cold towels to keep me going. I truly believed I wasnโt long for this world. I was later told that another five minutesโ delay could have been fatal. After 10 nights in intensive care and 3 nights in rehabilitation in Krabi (Koh Samui does not have a specialist cardiology unit, so I had to be transferred six hours across the country), I was finally discharged. When I returned to the hotel, it was clear I could not fly home as planned โ I required medical support for the journey. For Meliรก, this was โnot a problem.โ They moved us to a ground-floor room, handled all the administrative changes, and arranged for us to extend our stay for another five days beyond our original checkout date. The compassion shown by the staff was overwhelming. Many had heard what had happened and were visibly emotional when they saw me back. It was incredibly touching. I know there were many people behind the scenes working to help us, and while I cannot name everyone, please know that my gratitude extends to you all. What could have been the worst chapter of our lives was softened by extraordinary kindness and professionalism. Despite what happened, this remains my happy place. I owe my life to the people there, and I cannot wait to return โ although it may be a few years before my cardiologist signs that off. The good news is weโre heading to Meliรก Bali for our second anniversary, where thereโs a specialist cardiology unit just two minutes from the hotel. At least weโre keeping it Meliรก. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Die Auswahl des Frรผhstรผcks Buffet ist sehr gross und die Qualitรคt sehr hoch. Die Bucht mit den zahlreichen local Restaurants - eine wunderbare Stimmung. Das Hotel bietet ein tรคgliches Unterhaltungsprogramm (nicht aufdringlich) und Sportangebot z.B. Yoga.

We had a wonderful holiday, we stayed 11 nights in a Grand Level Suite room 432. The staff at the resort made the holiday for us, they were all so pleasant and helpful, always smiling. Impossible to remember all the names but special thanks to Baw at the beach, he was amazing, we always managed to get beach beds and umbrellas, thanks Baw for looking after us so well and for being so welcoming, Melia is very lucky to have him working there. And a thank you to Yao too for his beach service. To Looknan at Breezes for her attention, we had a great night and really good food at the Fireshow and Bar B Q, thank you. Lisa for her chats and organisation, she is terrific, a great asset to the hotel. To Fang for organising the decorations in our room and for keeping it so spotless, thank you. To Diana and Vam and Lucy at the swim up pool. To the ladies in the Level Lounge, thank you. We had breakfast there most mornings and it was very good, lots of choices and the service was good. And thank you to the team driving the buggies for bringing us from the front desk by buggy to our room and v.v., they were always available and prompt, just terrific service. The hotel did have a lot of guests with young babies, it is a family resort, we were an older couple but loved it and would return in a heartbeat. Loved swimming in the sea, the beach is lovely, the sea did come up quite a bit when the tide was in but the water was so beautiful to swim in and so safe. Our room was huge, plenty of space for a family in it. There are plenty of resturants in the near vicinity both on the beach and outside in the small town of Choeng Mon. We didnt find it noisy, just happy sounds of people enjoying themselves, we love the beach so did not sit by the pool. Thank you Melia Koh Samui!

What an amazing holiday. The hotel was beautiful and clean. We levelled up and had a swim up pool which was so worth it. All the staff were attentive and couldnโt do enough for you - and they are always so happy. Itโs situated slightly outside the main hustle and bustle but there is free transport to and from Chewang and there is also transport to the night market at Fishermanโs Village for 100THB per person. If you want to taxi, the staff will arrange that for you. We did this and took the taxi driverโs card. All we had to do was send him a message or call and he picked us up from wherever we were. The hotel is on the beach and is surrounded by places to eat, but the hotel restaurant is actually really good and reasonably priced. A big shout out to Tamarind, Kim, Queen and Sweet Pea for looking after us. Would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Meliรก Koh Samui, especially in Boat House 17 with the swim-up access. The room was beautiful, private, and incredibly relaxing. Being able to step right into the pool from our room made the entire experience feel luxurious and peaceful. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Selena, Pail, K, Hun, and Tamarind were all so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our time there. From assisting with our bags upon arrival, to keeping our room spotless, to answering our questions and helping with information, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for. Every interaction was warm and welcoming, and itโs clear that hospitality is something they take pride in. We are so grateful for the way they made our stay feel special. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this beautiful resort to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

We stayed at the Melia during Christmas. Pros: โThe location of the hotel is excellent, with restaurants near by and shop. - Staff is amazing. Super friendly with the kids (Auto and Keng- thank you!). - Kids club: although small, staff is really great with the kids, itโs clean and neat and offers great activities for the kids (some free of charge, some paid). -Amazing beach! Itโs not private, but perfect sand and turquoise water- really what you imagine when thinking of Thailand. -Breakfast: we booked a suite which is part of the โLevelโ and therefore had breakfast at the โLevelโ Lounge- nice and quiet. They had a nice ร la cart menu as an addition to a small buffet. The waiting staff during breakfast at the level was outstanding. Only issue is we experienced long wait times on two occasions. -Thereโs a nice view of the beach from the Breeze restaurant. -There room we booked was large and spacious. - The hotel itself is nicely designed with the small lagoon sweeping across the hotel and its various buildings. - The food served at the Breeze restaurant is varied and tasty. Cons: -The hotel seems a bit run down and in need of refurbishing if to be considered 5 stars: * Wooden floors in the bedroom creaked like that in a building built 100 years ago. * The room needs maintenance: you see dust built up in the spot lights in the bathroom, the shower overflows quickly and we found water gathered outside it after every shower. * In several areas tiles were missing in the pool spanning around the rooms and even in the main pool- extremely painful when you donโt notice and step on it (see picture). - The water in the main pool was murky ever day when we swam there- even during an early morning swim before there were others swimming in the pool. - We walked past โhouse boatโ rooms on the way to our building- there was almost always a bad sewage smell there. - The equipment in the gym was minimal and most of it old. The space itself was also tiny. Would be great to improve this. - On our last day we didnโt have much time left before we needed to head out. We had prepaid and had quite a bit of money open and wanted to use it. We went to the Breeze restaurant and quickly ordered 2 desserts a drink and one main to go. We asked while ordering how long it would take and they reassured us - 20 min. After 30 min waiting, we asked what is happening and they said they would now start preparing the dishes. We left without it. That unfortunately ended out experience on a less positive note.

Das Hotel ist wirklich toll um erholsame Badeferien zu verbringen. Die Bootsuite ist toll ausgestattet und der Zimmerservice war super. Das โThe Levelโ Angebot ist sehr gut, angefangen bei der sehr freundlichen Rezeption und dem sehr freundlichen Team im entsprechenden Restaurant. Wir wurde jeden Tag mit Namen begrรผsst und haben uns dort sehr Wohlgefรผhlt, auch die kleinen Snacks waren sehr lecker und die Cocktails abends waren gut. Unser Flug ging erst am Abend und obwohl wir kein Late Check Out hatten , konnten wir aber mir bis zum Schluss am Strand bleiben. Wir bekamen einen Zimmer nahe der Rezeption zum Duschen.
Cons: Der Zimmerservice war gut aber die Dusche hรคtte zwischendrin etwas besser gereinigt werden kรถnnen. Das Hotel hat Regel wie z.B das am Strand nicht geraucht werden darf aber wรคhrend unseres Aufenthalts wurde diese Regel nicht immer konsequent umgesetzt.

The location was quiet and pleasant with restaurants and massages around the hotel. The place is clean, beautiful, the staff is welcoming and very nice, they respond to requests. When we arrived, they gave us a room that smelled of mold and wet wood. The next day I asked to move and they moved us without a problem. The breakfast is varied and delicious and there is plenty of seating and high chairs for babies, including a fee. The room is large and nice. A 10-minute drive from the beach in Tswang

I gave 4/5 because of the hotel location - 15-20 minutes from the Chaweng and about 30 minutes from the fisherman's village. The hotel is very beautiful, the staff are very kind and profesional. This was our second time at the resort and it was even better this time than the last. The location is excellent with lots of amenities both onsite and along the beach and the facilities are fantastic. Restaurant food is great quality and pool service is always fast and attentive. Rooms are spacious and always extremely clean. Fresh towels delivered to your room every night and anything you need just a phone call away. Not too far from Fishermanโs Village and other attractions with lots to do for both grown ups and the children locally. We need to say a special thanks to Baw who goes continually above and beyond to provide anything we might possibly need. Heโs a special guy who welcomes you with open arms and looks out for your every need. Our daughter cut her hand one day and needed first aid, she immediately asked for Baw who was exceptional helping her and looking after her in the days that followed. And finally to our friend Back from the pool bar, what a guyโฆ we had such a laugh with him and he ensured we had everything we needed. Looking forward to returning again next year for our Christmas break.

Travelled with my family including a one year old baby and 2 seniors and we absolutely loved the whole experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They really helped out in every single way possible to make our stay comfortable. The kids entertainment is fun and kids are busy the whole day. In the beach bar/restaurant, they helped out so much with the kiddos especially a girl named looknam. Overall, a truly fun and relaxing experience!

I chose Koh Samui mainly for the beach and the sea, and after reading many reviews, I expected much more. Unfortunately, Meliรก Koh Samui is not the right choice if the beach experience is important to you. The beach is extremely narrow, with only about three very crowded rows of sunbeds, placed so close together that the first row is practically in the water. This is the dirtiest beach I have experienced so far, which is simply unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. To make things worse, the beach shower drain was clogged, leaving dirty water around. Beach service is weak and inconsistent, which further takes away from the experience. I will not comment much on other aspects, as the beach was the main reason for my trip. Breakfast and rooms seem fine, but they do not justify a long flight from Europe if you are coming here for crystal-clear water and a beautiful beach. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations for its category or reputation.

Despite this being a larger hotel than we would normally choose, the staff made the stay feel very personal. The staff were attentive, engaging and always seemed to be happy. We had a Boat Suite with sea view which was very nice, the only downside being it was next to the main pool which could be a little noisy at times. However, as it had its own deck to lounge on this really wasnโt too much of an issue, particularly as we were away from the room at the busiest times. The food that we had in the Level was first rate, and the whole Level experience was very pleasant. We did not eat in the main restaurant so canโt comment on that aspect but had a long chat with Luca, one of the managers of the restaurant who was very nice. The highlight was undoubtedly the staff. Despite our stay only being for three nights it seemed that they almost immediately recognised you and always spoke and remembered when you were leaving. Lisa, and her team, Queen, Keng, Kim, Bell, pink and Satay, were truly excellent. Customer service at its best.

Wow wow wow!! Stayed here 11 nights but extended to 13 (would have stayed longer if we could) we had boat suite 28 and had the sun all day on the top deck. What made the experience was the amazing staff!!!!!! They are a massive credit to the hotel! Lisa & Kim are the best!! Polite, professional, kind and really nice lovely people!! Thanks to bell, queen, pink, keng and tamarind, all amazing staff and went above and beyond! We will miss this hotel and staff very much! And canโt not include Baw! I have been home for 2 weeks, and I'm already planning my next trip to Koh Samui, Thailand, and staying at Melia. The hotel is amazing. The staff are fantastic. They are helpful, efficient, professional, and really welcoming and friendly. Krod was really fun and made us laugh every time we saw him. I stayed in a deluxe room on a bed-and-breakfast basis, but next time I'd do all-inclusive as the food is lovely. I cannot wait to go back to Thailand and the Melia Hotel.

We booked this hotel to get away from the chaos of Christmas, the reviews were good and when we arrived we were not disappointed, rooms were lovely, clean and very well placed within the complex. Anyone who stays will be welcomed round the pool by Baw a really friendly and helpful member of the staff, in fact, I could not fault any member of staff that we encountered. We paid for access to โthe levelโ which provides drinks and canapรฉs at certain times of the day which was a real bonus. One word of warning though, Christmas in Samui comes with the chance of a monsoon which we did experience but that didnโt detract from the service we were offered.

My experience at the Melia was nothing short of perfection. From the hotel grounds, pool, pool 'canal' and beach, to the decor, the food and the amazing service, everything was of the utter highest quality. The staff were so friendly and helpful, such as Auto, Baw and Matteo, that I felt the sort of comfort anyone would want from a holiday. A big 'thank you' to Natty at front desk; she was so welcoming and helpful throughout my entire stay. I'd also like to thank the gentleman who worked at the hotel gates and helped me cross the busy road every morning. I will definitely be returning at some point in the future!

Had an absolutely amazing time at the the Melia Koh Samui. The hotel is just amazing!! Very relaxing holiday cannot fault a single thing. Beds are so comfortable, food is absolutely perfect. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve dinner so much everything you could think of. The pool and gardens are beautifully maintained and always clean. The hotel sits on Choeng Mon beach which is beautiful and calm, with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. All the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you, special mention goes to Baw who is an absolute asset to The Melia, he is very friendly and always ready to chat to you about information or anything he can help you with but still remains a true professional. Well done Baw !! Would return to this hotel again and again.

Amazing Hotel, Amazing Rooms and the food is great too. However, the daytime reception staff are just rude and obnoxious. At check-in it was quite smooth and I didnโt have any issues. However the following day after having an amazing dinner at their restaurant I received a letter to my room asking me to go to reception as I had exceeded my deposit amount and we always have to keep a credit which wasnโt made clear at the beginning even though they knew about my dinner at reception before hand as I had pre booked for a romantic dinner. When I go to reception I stood there for 5 minutes before being acknowledged by 1 of the 3 staff. I advised her someone will be collecting my laundry for dry cleaning and I received a letter to make a payment to increase my deposit. She asked one of the concierge to place the laundry in storage, I helped him to do that as there was a bit, I then came back after 30 seconds or that, and all 3 receptionists are checking in 1 family of 5. I am not sure why 3 people need to check in 3 adults and 2 children, but I stood there and waited. The wait lasted for 20 minutes, the concierge kept telling one of the staff that someone else is waiting, he waved his hand off and a couple of minutes later came over to ask how he can help. At this point I was furious, I have been sat there for 20 minutes waiting to pay because they asked me too. I explained to him that I was there before the family of 5 I was acknowledged and then it was like I wasnโt there, I explained I was there for 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged, too that the response was โwe didnโt do it on purposeโ brilliant - Iโm glad I was acknowledged by accident and then I waited 20 minutes because a family of 5 needs 3 reception staff to check them in. At this point the staff just walked off. Another lady approached me and I told her to not send any more letters to my room and I will make a payment at the end of my stay because I had a booking with my wife that I was now late for. Her response was cold and was โit needs to be settled or you wonโt be able get to add any expenses to your roomโ shame on the staff. Melia hotel in Koh Samui is nice but there are a lot of nice hotels in Koh Samui and most of them will be respectful and provide much better service. I would advise to stay elsewhere.

Stayed with my wife for 3 nights on vacation, and the hotel atmosphere was great, very relaxing and pleasant. We got a good deal from the Thai Tiew Thai event, so it was good value for us. The hotel is located close to the airport. Super easy to travel. The room was clean and we received a small chocolate after mentioning that it was our second anniversary. Khun Pop took very good care of us during check-in. She was super friendly and attentive, and escorted us to the room with care, really appreciated. The hotel was quiet, and there was no disturbance during the night. We had dinner at The Breeza Beach and were lucky to catch happy hour for a couple of drinks. The food was superb in my opinion, I ordered the seafood spaghetti and croquette, and both were very tasty, same like I had in Europe. We also had a short chat with Khun Luca, he was friendly, and I hope he enjoys his training there. Khun Auto was also extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended a great local restaurant, and it was superb. We also met Khun Fai (Wedding) and Khun Chloe (Marketing), whom my wife had contacted previously. During check-out, everything went smoothly. Iโm sorry I forgot the name of the staff who assisted us, she was friendly and always smiling. Khun Chloe also gave us a gift, truly appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely come back again if we have the chance.

Cons: We were in block 5 which was a LONG walk to the beach a lot longer than I expected. . It was a very very long way away. The other issue was no beach towels at the pool or beach. So on multiple occasions had to walk back to my room (the hitch was a long way away) to retrieve. Just a lot of wasted time.

The hotel is good but does not offer real 5-star service, in my view. Breakfast is also very good but lacks a bit variety, especially in comparison with some other hotels we visited recently. Beach location is nice, but the pool area can get pretty busy. Many families with small children, so an adult only area with pool would be greatly appreciated. Good food in the restaurant and very friendly staff.

Our stay at the Melia hotel in Koh Samui was excellent. It was all very clean and had very good facilities. Particularly noteworthy was the extremely helpful and friendly staff. Didn't make note of all the names, but like to highlight Rainbow who was at reception. She was amazing in helping to organise a doctor, extend our stay and allow us to call the necessary companies. We did a cooking class with Tik one of the chef's, which was great fun. We would highly recommend staying there!

We had the most wonderful 2 week holiday. All the staff and hotel amenities were perfect but what really made a difference was the employees. It didnโt matter which area of the hotel we visited, all were helpful and welcoming. It must be said that the level services provided by the fantastic team : Seen, Tamarind, Lisa, Maya, Keng, Pin, Queen,Pin & Sachi really made a difference. They are all so friendly, helpful and lovely hard working individuals. I worked in HR for hospitality many years ago and would have been proud to have any of them work in my teams. Special mention to Baw who always remembers names and checks in that everything is going well and if he can help in any way. This is especially nice feeling supported when solo traveling. We had a Level Boat Suite pool access room for 10 nights and had a fantastic stay. The Level gave us exceptional service every day for breakfast and throughout the day serving drinks and food. We were looked after and made feel very special by Lisa and the team Tamarind, Pin,Queen, Keng, Bell and Sachi. They all delivered an impeccable service and nothing ever any trouble. Lovey kind people. Would recommend this place and will return.

I came to Melia Koh Sumai with my husband and can honestly say we had the most wonderful 12 night stay. All the staff were so lovely and helpful and polite . The rooms, location and atmosphere were perfect. The sea is beautiful and staff at pool side were also brilliant . Breakfast was just delicious The staff at reception Lucy , Rainy,Jayz, Mateo and Selena were absolutely charming and always greeted us with a smile which made us feel even more welcome. We were sad to leave but will definitely come again and also tell our friends and family. Baw at the pool side is such a lovely and happy soul and could never do enough I can go on for ever but just wanted everyone to know what a great place Melia Koh Sumai is , should be a 7 star! Room - very spacious with a huge king size bed, nespresso pods, huge balcony with a bath + day bed and blinds so you can get some privacy. Powerful rail shower and complimentary robes and slippers. Room was always cleaned to a high standard. I would highly recommend upgrading to this room as the balcony was a pleasant retreat during the heat of the day. Location - 15 minutes from the airport with plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby. Direct access to the beach and pool / beach staff were extremely helpful with umbrellas and food/drink requests. Facilities - loved the complimentary morning yoga class, two beautiful pools, hotel & garden were constantly being maintained by staff so the hotel is always kept to a high standard. Huge gym which is open 24/7 and a snooker room. Breakfast / food - we only had breakfast at the hotel but it was amazing. I would recommend the French toast! Perfect mix between trying traditional Thai items for breakfast and European food. Abundance of fresh smoothies, fruits and salads too! The staff were very helpful and friendly and on hand for any drink request whether ice coffee or green tea. There was some variation in what was offered each day too! Staff - every member of staff we had the pleasure of encountering were extremely warm, welcoming, friendly and really helpful. They always had a smile on their faces, very lovely atmosphere!

Melia is a fabulous resort with all staff being very accommodating. To mention a few, Rainbow,K, Miew,, Mattio and of course Baw๐. There are of course others whose names we did not get. We had a fabulous time and when it came time to check out ( 6am) Melia ensured we had someone to collect our laggage and us๐. Also as we were missing breakfast they organised a breakfast for us upon check out ( courtsey of the hotel) before the taxi picked us up for the airport. There are some great restraunts outside of the hotel and also plenty of massage options, which we availled of every evening๐. This is a resort that i would definitely recommend and come back to

The location is perfect for anyone wanting a quieter environment and the facilities at the resort are second to none. Ribbon, Dada, and Gigi were all super friendly and made the kids feel so happy. There were also lots of fun activities, and Khun Pla and Khun Mui did such a great job entertaining everyone. We had a small issue with the WiFi one day, and big thanks to Khun Pep for helping resolve it quickly and a special thanks to Khun Siri for taking such good care of us and being so helpful throughout our stay. Truly a great experience!

Having arrived at the rather uninspiring reception, we were greeted warmly with cold scented towels and and a refreshing welcome drink. Check-in was friendly, fast and efficient. Within minutes we were being whisked to our suite in a club car around a perimeter roadway. We then had a short walk past the lagoon pool and to the top floor where we were shown our magnificent suite 431. To say this suite was impressive would be a gross under estimate. It was large, had a walk through wardrobe, huge comfortable bed, amazing bathroom with twin sinks, bath and huge shower. The next room contained a massive day bed, dining table for four and huge doors onto the magnificent balcony. The views from our room had to be some of the best from any room, looking out onto mature palms and greenery, the 700 metre lagoon pool and pool bar was below our suite and inner views of the unique boat rooms of converted rice boats from Bangkok were magnificent. Over our eight days we daily popped into the 'Level lounge' for snacks, drinks or just a chat with the many amazing Level staff. Each evening we would join other guests at the level lounge to enjoy cocktails expertly mixed by the staff, hot and cold sweet and savoury offerings which changed daily. The Level outside deck was a wonderful place from which to admire the hotel pool and beautiful white sandy beach. After eight days the fabulous staff in the Level lounge greeted us enthusiastically and even got to know what drinks we would order, my fiancรฉ Mark even coined the nickname 'Mr Mai-tai' which was hilarious. Names MUST be mentioned as so many Level staff helped make our stay so very special, so could I mention; Pin, Lisa, Sachi, King, Seen, Queen and Maya. Apologies if I missed anyone as I tried to remember everyone, but those cocktails have a lot to answer for! To sum up, this magnificent hotel is truly beautiful, immaculately clean and well maintained. Our suite was outstanding inside and out with superb views of the manicured grounds, The lagoon pool is probably one of the best things we have ever encountered winding through the tropical gardens for 700 meteres. Contrary to many reviews we had watched you can easily access this wonder from the many and numerous steps around the lagoon, regardless of your rooms location. Breakfast was fresh and lovely, made to order Thai dishes at live cooking stations, and everything else you could ask for. The hotel location for us was perfect, next to a beautiful sandy beach, warm shallow sea and a vast choice of excellent dine out options, Its also a very fast transfer to the airport. Would I stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends - HELL YES. We look forward to returning in future years.

We decided to try the Thai Cooking class at Meliรก Koh Samui, and it was worth it! It was really easy to book the class online using the Meliรก's mobile app. The resort's staff were very helpful confirming the booking, and letting us select the courses from a list. Everything was well prepared by the time we showed up and we got dressed up as real kitchen staff.Chef Tik was a great host explaining every steps of the preparation. He showed us the typical spices and their use, but encouraged us to season the courses as we liked them. The setting was very warm and welcoming, and super clean ant hygienic which we liked very much. There were more staff cleaning the the preparation area making the whole experience very professional. Special thanks goes to Pang making pictures of us while we were preparing the food. We tasted all the finished courses making this a really amazing experience, but be warned to arrive hungry to that class :-). You can even take the unfinished food away at the end. Certificate of completion and an USB key containing the recepies have been provided after finishing the class. This was a really five โญ experience.
