I stayed at the ibis and was unhappy with the itching every night after putting up with it for 3 nights complained and was told sorry no upgrade no refund. Won’t be staying again, I should have really checked out after 1 night but have stayed 4/5 times before with no issue really dissatisfied with the service sorry really isn’t good enough when you’re paying hard earns money and you can’t sleep. I was told the window was open which I couldn’t tell because of the curtains covering it. Not happy at all

This was a terrible hotel! the lady in front desk was rude and gives you the impression she's a social worker giving you free shelter from the elements, she forget she only has a salary because of us customers. The hotel was filthy and looks like it has not been cleaned in weeks or months. the bed was "kind of" made, but not really and had hair and staines. the floor was sticky and had remaining from weeks of filth!

I AM OUTRAGED BY THE UNFRIENDLY STAFF! I will start off with the PROS.... The hotel does have nice amenities and pool area. The rooms have a nice decor CONS The hotel price too expensive for what you get. (relative to other area and comparable hotels I have stayed at) The breakfast is not included in the price. For example, 4 star hotels in Agadir costs less and have breakfast buffet included No hospitality here. The kitchen staff were especially rude. One kitchen staff member was very nosy- he followed me upstairs two floors asking for my room number after breakfast. ( They should ask upon your arrival in the breakfast area) At check out time another kitchen staff member told the receptionist all my breakfast meals I had. Again, their system of tallying what breakfast you ate or not ate is ineffecient. They made me feel very uncomfortable and I did not feel welcome here because of that. No smiling from all staff I encountered.

Worst service and breakfast I’ve ever seen. Rooms were okay. Rude staff, unhelpful and didn’t want to honour our complimentary breakfast by pretending like a room booked for two should only come with one breakfast free. The pool had black scum at the edges and the hallways all smelled like cigarettes. Awful overall.

The location of this hotel is very convenient and with walking distance to the souk and old city. The hotel is a little out dated but it was going through some renovations near the lobby. Location is great. It is convenient. Staff was very very nice for a change at this location. They need to train the cleaning staff on how to properly mop a floor so your bare feet don’t turn black after 4 steps and emptying ashtrays of precious guests would also be nice. Price is a bit high for the condition and the area. However I chose to stay here because it is familiar and convenient. Just wish they would step up theirs game. This could be such an awesome property.

The hotel is located in a central area with which to access the city. The black mold in the shower and suffocating/unadjustable room heat decreased the overall comfort of the room, however. Turning on the “A/C” didn’t affect the temperature, either, but contributed to the sweltering conditions with additional dirt which considerably aggravated our allergies. Aside from the subpar room conditions, the breakfast was average leading to an overall rating of slightly below average.

Stopped over in Meknes on my way to Fes. Pleasantly surprised with the city and the hotel. I chose this hotel because it had parking as many of the more atmospheric hotels in the Medina do not. The location of the hotel was next to a McDonald's, KFC and a few local fast food outlets and overall fairly easy to find. Internet was good, restaurant/breakfast area was very modern, in fact this is probably the best Ibis I have stayed in...certainly didn't feel like Morocco. Pool looked nice, but too cold when I passed through.

Basic hotel. I'm not sure if this is a new consept in Morocco, but a simple hotel where a tired Traveller can check in late and leave the next day, without having to pay for to many extras that you won't need. This is that hotel. There is a restaurant, but wasn't part of the booking, so didn't eat there. Room was nice, simple and clean. One of the curtains that covered the patio window was pulled off, so had to put the curtain in the door and close it. Heard noises through the ceiling, so not as quite as I would have liked. All and all it was fine for a stopover, but not a place to stay long term.

My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Meknes for a brief stopover in Meknes and were overall satisfied with our stay. As other reviews have mentioned, this is not a typical Ibis chain location that you may be used to in other cities, since it looks like Ibis took this old, run down hotel over from a previous owner. Our room itself was updated with mediocre though clean/comfortable furniture and bedding, but the bathroom was clearly dated (though nonetheless clean, which is what matters most). One major plus that this hotel gets is the stellar wifi connection - super fast! This alone was a much-needed and much-appreciated perk for us after a round of riads in which wifi has consistently been a problem. I can't speak to the breakfast or pool amenities since we skeedaddled out of town first thing the following morning. But if you're looking for a cheap, comfortable, reliable place to stay, then this place fits the bill.

Will not recommend this hotel to any one. Lift was broken, heat not working, shower changes hot and cold water by itself. Towels were dirty. Staff not speaking english. The room condition was very poor, the air-con did not work at all, reported it so many times and I was told to leave the window open rather than any apology or compensation. Mosquitoes had their opportunity to get some fresh blood. The staff were very rude. Overall it was the worse hotel experience ever, specially from hotel chain like IBIS.

Stayed for 2 nights June 19th-21st. Clean room and communal areas. Key cards were a bit knackered and had to go back to main desk a few times to get it to work again, toilet also broke but was fixed within 10 minutes of making the issue known. Breakfast available at a price, buffet style. Pool was nice and no trouble getting a deck chair. Hotel about a 15 minute walk from medina.

The worst desk service, from Amine, we have every experienced from an Ibis hotel. He followed his surly attitude by giving us a room directly behind the bar. The room had a hole in the ceiling, no connection for the phone and a constant flow of drunken business men down the corridor. The hotel is clearly only for the use of business travel. It is unpleasant to walk anywhere from this hotel due to groups of boys gathering in the car park. There are plenty of other options available in this town who will welcome you and ensure you enjoy your stay.

Stayed for several days and really enjoyed it. Excellent staff with several English speaking members. In fact, as I was fumbling through paperwork during check-in, the desk clerk greeted me by name in English before I could get my reservation paperwork out. The desk and room service staffs were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The rooms were of average size for this part of the country and were very clean. Our rate did NOT include the hotel breakfast, so we ate a café about 200 feet from the hotel's front door. I would highly recommend the café which is located just behind and up the hill from the Pizza Hut as a way of both sampling the local cuisine AND saving money. The hotel has a very well kept pool area. It also has a restaurant and bar, but we did not use either of these. As advertised, the hotel has FREE WIFI (pronounced 'wee-fee' over there!) in the rooms. The hotel is located near a McDonalds (150 ft), Pizza Hut (200 ft), Bab Mansour (15 min walk), Old City (15 min walk), and numerous other attractions.

This was the only 'chain hotel' of our nine-day Moroccan holiday, where we stayed in private and family riads, and Ksars. This hotel Very typically cateres for the French, despite the 'defense de fumer' during 'le petit dejuner', with few toiletries and a VERY continental breakfast! We met up with a bunch of Roses de Sable off-roaders and were on-way to the OiLybia Rallye du Maroc so it set us up for the forthcoming 500km drive over the Atlas to the Sahel. We asked for a non-smoking double room and got a room with an ashtray outside, and ashray insde and two single beds. Ibis claim to have a '15 minute guarantee' whereby they promise to fix any problems within 15 minutes or you get a freebie...!! I asked the manager if the room was definitey a non-smoking room because I could smell smoke whilst the air-con was on. He said 'Yes' and appeared to check his pc but then looked at me as if to say 'qu'est-ce que tu veux que je fasse?' (what do want me to do about it?). We walked out to the dirty pool, sat outside for 30 mins (2 guarantee's worth!!) and went back inside to prepare for the next day. Would not use the hotel again, but might choose the araea as it was less manic to get in and out of than Casablanca, Rabat, Fes or Marrakech! If in Meknes, you must visit Volubilis, a Roman archaeological site about 35km NNE of Meknes up the N13 near Moulay Idris - spectacular mosaics!

Everyone was very friendly during our stay. Not only the staff but other travelers that stayed at the hotel as well. They have a nice pool, outdoor seating, a bar, a lounge with internet access, and a breakfast/dinner room. My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast although the dinner didn't seem very good compared to other Ibis around the country. Our room was very clean, and the blanket provided was similar to a feather blanket, very comfortable! Make sure to bring your own hairdryer because when we asked for one, they were all checked out by the other travelers. The bar offers a nice surrounding, and great coffee and other snacks and beverages. It has a classy/modern feel and has mellow music playing inside and outside all throughout the day. Cons: They do not have a fridge inside your room, the beds are very hard in my opinion, and internet is only availiable downstairs.

This hotel is ideally located between the old medina area and the new city, a nice walk or short taxi ride to each. Hotel was clean, well maintained, and housekeeping was reliable. The hotel provided a computer in the lobby for guests to use, which was a nice perk. Good service and helpful, friendly staff.
