Stayed here for a night. Hotel caters more for Euro/American tourists on a package tour. The hotel is like any standard quality hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. Decor was humdrum The location on the sea front was excellent. The hotel has exclusive space and a a restaurant on the beach which was pretty good. The food served on the beach was pretty good.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of an amazing Morocco adventure. This place has such potential and it 60% there. Once all the renovations have been completed it will be the place to stay. The external view of the resort is pretty shabby and very dated. The old rooms which are all in the front building do all need work but they are onto it and it won't be long until they are all done. We had booked a sea view room not knowing that those are all the unrenovated ones. We asked before we got there to have a room that was renovated and away from the noise of the construction. In reality we got an old room next door to the building work aaaargh! At check in, they advised that a new room would become available the next day if we wished to change. We decided we wanted to - the old rooms are not hideous but they do really need some work - dated bathrooms, grout is old and stained, fixtures are pretty poor. The bed however was still very clean and comfortable. The small balcony facing the ocean has peeling paint etc and the external walls are very grotty. The amazing Nezha at front desk helped us out and relocated us to a new room the next morning (Thankyou Nezha!!) These rooms are gorgeous!. Bathroom is beautiful, balcony large and comfortable. Couldn't fault them. Only feedback that was negative about the back building was occasionally there was a really bad smell in the hallway (sewerage??) which may or may not have been the hotel. This did not affect our stay though. The pool area is beautifully remodelled, the bar has been beautifully remodelled. At the time, they were working on reception and the side building rooms and apart from that first night the work did not affect our stay. The restaurant in the hotel is yet to be renovated and does need work, but I'm sure its on the agenda to get done soon. Breakfast was good, with Moroccan and Western options. The staff across the hotel was all lovely. The staff at breakfast was great but tended not to be on top of clearing dirty tables or re-setting for the next guest but it wasn't the end of the world. We also accessed the beach side restaurant and the food was fantastic! The staff here were also lovely but service was very slow. The location is the best in Essaouira in our opinion. All in all a great stay and can't wait to see how the renovations end up. Once finished this place will be a 5/5!

After a two year hiatus, a return to this hôtel and another wonderful stay. Because of refurbishment works, it was not possible for us to have our "favourite" room, but we received an upgrade to a sea-view room, and an excellent room it was too. Upon arrival, we were met with the most gracious greeting and recognition by the reception staff and quickly and efficiently ‘processed' through check in and assigned our room. As for the reception staff, a special mention must be made for Fatima E and Aziz, who, on all occasions, went above and beyond with their help and assistance, we cannot praise them highly enough. The room was one that is yet to be refurbished but it met all of our needs perfectly. A bowl of fruit greets you on the first night followed by the most delicious chocolate cakes every evening. The rooms are spacious and well equipped for our needs with very good WiFi should you require it. The mini bar is well stocked but we normally remove the supplied stock and re fill with our own products from a nearby supermarket. The bathroom is clean and well supplied with all that one would need, hair and body products, bath robes etcetera. The breakfasts in this hôtel are really very good, both western and Moroccan dishes are available along with fruit, cereals, viennoiserie and cakes, with very attentive staff. A special mention should go out to Abdullah? a long-time member of staff, who is most caring and efficient and to the, unfortunately unnamed, egg lady. It is possible to take breakfast either outside by the pool or inside the dining room with a wonderful view of the sea and beach-life, we always chose the latter. I must say that it is always a pleasure to eat there. The pool and garden area have been remodelled since our last stay and a good job has been done. It has become a haven of peace & quiet only punctuated by the birdsong of the local Bulbuls. The hôtel is ideally located on the beachfront only about 200mts from Bab Sbâa, one of the entrances to the delights of the medina and about 30mins walk from an international supermarket for those things that you may have forgotten or desire. I have every reason to highly recommend this hôtel. Choukran bezaf, Inshallah we will return soon.

If you like 360 degrees of mold and dirty tile in the bathroom, this is the place for you. The lobby, bar, and pool are nice. So is the buffet breakfast. This is an old building that desperately needs renovation. It's hard to describe the filthy conditions of the bathroom. It is not fit for habitation. Even the air is stale with a slight hint of bleach. I don't know about the rest of the hotel, however, Stay Away from Room 151.

A perfect end to our Moroccan odyssey. After a very ordinary stay at an Accor property in Marrakech it was wonderful to enter the rejuvenated MGallery in Essaouira. Our room was new and as welcoming as the staff, especially Fatima. The pool surrounds enhanced the new rooms and added to the sanctuary-feel of the property. After a tiring few weeks of touring it was great to relax and truly enjoy the 5 star service. Dining at the restaurant overlooking the beach and watching the sunset was marvellous and our young servers, Asiya and Sadiya ensured our stay ended on a high note. They were both cheerful, friendly and competent servers and keen to assist us.

In a recent trip to Marrakech, my husband and I made a side trip to Essaouira to take a break from the Marrakech heat. We hired a private transfer from a company called Souk to Surf. Although it was warm in Essaouira, the ocean breeze provided relief. We stayed at the Le Medina Essaouira Thalassa Sea and Spray Gallery and it was more than what I expected. We booked a Superior Double Room with Ocean View. The hotel room faces the Promenade and from the balcony, we had a panoramic view of sunrise and sunset each day. The room and bathroom were large; His and Hers closet space; bathrobes and slippers provided. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of breads, pastries, cold cuts, juices. Le Medina had a gym and outdoor pool (no longer under construction) and a spa as well. The hotel also had a restaurant MBeach that was open from noon to 11pm. In addition, there were a few restaurants along the promenade as well. The hotel staff were courteous and willing to assist me with the few French words that I know. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the gate of the Medina. This was truly a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

We got a sea view room with a lot of trees obstruction, the rooms were very average. Aircon was not cooling nicely . Everything else in room was just very average. Will recommend someone try the rent room on streets here soo many people offer to check the rooms . The price I paid was definitely not worth.

This is our fourth family holiday at the Medina. Although currently undergoing refurbishments, there was no noticeable decline in standards or service and the work wasn’t particularly disruptive. It’s a great location, 15 mins walk to the media itself in one direction and 10 mins walk to the beach bars and water activities in the other. The hotel is clean, the staff are courteous and excellent — huge props to Yusuf and Nasar in the restaurant/bar — with perfect English and French. The pool area is sheltered from the wind and a great way to cool off after exploring the medina and surrounding areas or just a day on the beach. Wholly recommended.

This perfectly located hotel within walking distance to the medina has the potential to be outstanding. It’s currently going through some renovations although during our stay 9-16 July, any noise was minimal and didn’t disrupt our stay. The hotel is a little tired in places but once the renovations are complete it should be great. The service provided was great. Our waiter at breakfast, the lady making pancakes and generally all staff were very good- pleasant, polite and wanting to make your stay the best. Our party of 4- 2 adults and 2 young adults all agreed that if we were to return to Essaouira, we would rebook Le Medina. We booked a sea view room and poolside room. The poolside which was in the front facing building had a bigger balcony but didn’t seem to get much sun. The sea view room had a small balcony but got constant sun.

The hotel is run down and is basically falling a part. We were not provided with water in our room on our first night and had to drink water from the mini bar which was charged. The hotel facilities were limited and also were very old. Additionally there were works happening on the sight so it was noisy.

Hotel great location, private beach great. Staff good but breakfast a bit chaotic. Unfortunately the hotel is in the middle of a two year refurbishment. The website makes no mention of this. Whole room fittings being ripped out with power tools. The noise by the pool was unbearable. Do not book for at least 12 months. Holiday company changed hotel. Deliberate policy of the hotel group not to include information of the work on their website.

This hotel is labeled as five-star, but realistically, it delivers a three-star experience at best—often less. SERVICE: The staff, particularly the senior male employees, were unprofessional and at times outright rude. Requests for assistance were often ignored, and basic courtesy was lacking. POOL: While there is a new outdoor pool, it’s poorly equipped for the number of guests—only four parasols are available for over 170 rooms. If you’re hoping for shade, good luck, as no one seems willing to assist. The sunbeds looked dirty and neglected, which was honestly off-putting. The indoor pool opens in the evening, but it’s even dirtier than the sunbeds—unacceptable by any standard. FACILITIES: Besides the pool, the rest of the hotel feels old and run-down. Construction was ongoing during our stay, creating constant noise and rendering the first-floor relaxation area unusable. Our room was outdated, with squeaky doors, a mouldy bathroom, and worn-out furniture. Why am I so disappointed? Because when I asked for help, I received no response. Upon checkout, no one asked about our stay or showed the slightest interest in feedback—something you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be five-star. We also faced an issue with a pre-authorisation charge that exceeded the total cost of our stay, which was not clearly communicated. Instead of listening, the staff became defensive and argumentative. This is not the level of quality or service one expects from an Accor five-star hotel. Improvements are urgently needed—both in facilities and, more importantly, in how you treat your guests. Until then, calling this a five-star property is misleading at best.

The location of the Hotel is great and so was the private beach area and restaurant, but there most of it ends. The private beach area and its restaurant were closed for a wedding party when we arrived tired and hungry. We were directed to what turned out to be the breakfast room, ordered from a reduced menu and found that on our final invoice we had been charged room service for eating there! Then the big problem arrived on entering our room we found that we did not overlook the pool, as booked, we overlooked a building site, which was very noisy and very dusty, which meant that sitting on the balcony in the day was not possible. After complaining we were offered a sea view room on the top [2nd] floor provided we waited four days. The balcony of this room was very tiny, had no protection from the sun and no lights at night. The rooms were old and tired, I think the walls and ceiling may have been recently painted but thats all, in the rooms we occupied. The bathroom had a bath with a non thermostatically controlled shower over it and no wall handles, not much fun when you are in your 80s. We did learn later that some expensive suites do have walk in showers. Most of the staff were fine especially the women, those sorting the room out and those women cooking at breakfast. Most of the waiters at the self service breakfast seemed to be unsupervised they only had to clear and lay table and serve coffee. Some mornings there were no plates or cutlery or tables cleared. The food was good but on several mornings when a dish was finished it wasn't replaced. This hotel may have been 5 star when it was built but not now.

A wonderful week. We were wonderfully looked after by exceptional hotel staff in every section; Reception, housekeeping and food and beverage from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble for them to help us with. The location is perfect, our sea view room a delight. The amenities are excellent . I was concerned the swimming pool area was not open following refurbishment , ( I believe it opens very soon) it wasn't any problem for us at all . I am already looking forward to returning for a short break later this year. A perfect experience ( in spite of my husband injuring his foot kitesurfing) . Essaouira and this hotel are charming. Thank you

This is a pretty place with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and have good views. I loved the location because you could walk across the street and right out on to the beach. I took a long evening stroll on the beach and watched the sun set. There is a nice little place to eat withing walking distance. There are shops and places to change money close by. It has a really good breakfast, too. I truly enjoyed my stay here. I would absolutely come back and stay at this hotel.

This is a group hotel (Accor) It has the advantage of being just outside the Medina and the fishing port. It is also on the promenade and has it's own area of beach with sun loungers , seating, restaurant and cafe. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Large standard room typical for this type of hotel. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice. Eggs/omelettes cooked fresh on request. Pancakes, crepes and square morrocan pancake reheated to order, presumably to do away with waiting time as they were also being made.

I want to say nice things because the people here are nice, but honestly, the hotel kind of sucks. Firstly, the whole outside pool and garden area are closed due to being a construction site - something we didn't know about until we got here. The indoor swimming pool is only open for 3 hours a day for some reason - our toddler loves to swim but wont get to as the hours fall in his nap time. The gym also opens quite late (8am) and most of the cardio machines don't work. Breakfast runs until 10:30, but we got there at 9:15 this morning and there was no juice, no plates and no cutlery. Our room is fine. Location is very good. This hotel has such a long way to go.

Simply a wonderful venue ! The food was excellent. We were half board, and both the breakfast and evening meals were always well cooked, presented, and tasted delicious. The selection is both local and international, although we always ate the Moroccan options which we loved. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and with a bed that was huge, comfy, and with pillows and duvet to match. We both agreed this was the best sleeping combination we have ever experienced. The room balcony overlooked the beach, and was a great place to watch the sunset. We used the onsite hydra pool several times, which massively helped a recent back problem I had developed. The swimming pool was closed due to renovation work, but we preferred to use the loungers on the beach, within the hotels dedicated area there. The locality of the hotel near to the beach, medina and the port were also great for us. A five minute stroll and we were in the medina. The airport at Essaouira is small and modern, and not (at the moment!) busy. It's a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport, to Le Medina. Security at the airport and Essaouira is tight, and we never felt uneasy at any time. For us however, the best aspect of the hotel, and our holiday, were the team who work Le Medina. Every one was professional, courteous, friendly, and always with a smile. They really made us feel welcome.

Excellent location, right on the beach and 5 minutes easy walk to the Medina. The pool is currently closed for refurbishment (Jan 2025) so check that before you go if that is important to you. Staff are all friendly - special mention to Fatima our breakfast waitress who looked after us very well. After the first day she knew exactly what we liked and brought it our table without us asking but with a smile. I am sure we will stay here next tie we are in the area.

Pictures of rooms are a little deceiving of room sizes, but the rooms are okay but a bit overpriced for what you get and its a "five star" the breakfast is never fully stocked ever, no plates, utensils or food options, the pool is small and very crowded and services are limited, definitely over priced for what you get and definitely doesn't feel like a five star so overall it was an average place, nothing special.

This was probably the best hotel experience of our lives as a family. Incredible hotel, great design, amazing (and large) pool (open round the clock), the best possible location in Essaouira, a short walk into the heart of the old town, and on the beach. But the best thing of all - is the staff - going out their way to personalise your experience and excel in customer service. Very very good. Great holiday.

The location is wonderful- a few minutes walk to the port and Medina. They have their own private section of the beach, with table and beverage service. Could be slow at times but the food was good. The rooms are large but a bit dated. We had ants and gnats in the room. Would also have appreciated larger bottles of the complimentary water in the room. Pool area is really nice. They also have a fitness center. Staff were pleasant. I few tweaks to the overall property upkeep would take this to the next level.

A down at heel hotel in need of considerable refurbishment which is certainly not 5 star standard. On arrival at 3.30 pm we were told our room wasn't ready; when challenged we were told we could go to our room but it was not ready. There were housekeeping staff in there who left when we arrived. In their haste to leave there were no handtowels, the sink waste didnt work and there was an empty bottle and used towel from previous guests. The fruit and pastries were on chippped plates. Terrible service at breakfast, no information, we were not offered drinks, the food was limited and often plates needed replenishing. We found out be accident that omelettes, eggs etc were being cooked to order outside.

This is hotel delivers what’s expected and nothing more. The junior suite we had was very nice and spacious with a large walk in closet. The breakfast was very good. Expect children in and around the pool (a bit noisy) and you have to make sure to get a lounge chair early or you’ll e left without. It’s usually the small things that bother you and for me it was the double espresso I ordered. First I had to wait 30 min for it (!) and then pay for 2 coffees as the waiter thought a ‘double’ is 2. 60 MAD (€6) for a coffee…

There is always a warm welcome from Nezha and the team, so it's no wonder we go back time and time again. The rooms are large and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and have a good size balcony. The pool and garden are fabulous. It is well worth opting for breakfast here as you get such a choice. Can't find anything bad to say about the place.

Although it is a beautiful property close to amenities the room dimensions should be included when making a reservation as the room was barely enough for me to put my bags and move around in, had I known I would’ve chosen a bigger room. They are extremely small and very tight.

My stay at Le Medina Essaouira Hotel was wonderful! The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The hotel itself is exquisite…. in the decor, ambiance, and well maintained. The room was spacious, comfortable, and a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach facilities were wonderful; as was the spa. It is truly paradis.

This hotel was comfortable and beautiful, but a little bit tired. The rooms in particular were a little past their prime. The room service food was not particularly good. However, the location was superb, being directly on the beach and a ten minute walk from the gorgeous medina of Essaouira.

Staff were, for the most part, friendly and helpful. The room was ok, and the pool area was pretty good. The air-conditioning in my room didn't work and was reported to the front desk, but not remedied. One other small annoyance - the coffee sachets weren't replaced after the first day.

The rooms are falling apart. This was probably a gorgeous hotel at one point but deferred maintenance has taken its toll. It also get so hot in the rooms. The AC doesn’t work anywhere. We had to open the door at night for comfortable sleep and work up to dozens of mosquito bites. We hoped that with the Sofitel brand we would be getting better but now we won’t trust the brand at all anymore for our travels.

Not a 5 star hotel, over priced The outside areas were ok but the bedrooms are dated, bathroom needs a re grout as a minimum. Linen/towels seen better days. Breakfast was terrible , flies on the vegetable section, poor selection ,bad service all around . We will not return.

The personnel were great, especially Ayoub. When I booked my stay via Expedia, the features just said "View". At first Ayoub checked me in a pool-view suite. But, I was hoping for a sea view. He managed to get me into the best suite in the hotel, with an amazing sea-view, while preserving the same price I paid via Expedia. The breakfast staff are amazingly attentive, and very helpful. I liked hanging out by the pool. I had a tense training program, so I happily spent most of the time at the hotel, by the pool. Often the staff offered me free tea, sweets, and water bottles throughout the day. They did not bug me at all, and left me at peace. They were very empathetic toward my busy schedule.

Le Medina Essaouira Hotel gave me weeks of tranquility during my stays. The staff is solicitous and sophisticated, the rooms bathed in sea breezes, the location tranquil with easy access to the beach and old city, and the restaurant serves wonderful food.

Stayed with my father for a few nights. A wonderful, comfortable and clean hotel with a colorful and bright interior, right on the beach and easy walking access to other local sites. We had breakfast (buffet) and dinner (restaurant in hotel and bar) at the hotel.

The beach front rooms were simply put, amazing. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The front desk Ayoub, the manager Siham and Mowlay were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within 5 minute pleasant walk to the old city. Breakfast was not extravagant but was delicious and satisfying. Dinner had a lot to be desired though when Mowlay is on holiday. Overall, it was great. Highly recommended.

came here for 4 nights with some friends.the hotel is situated quite close(5mins)from Medina, across the road from the beach.it is advertised as a 5 star, but to be honest,is more 4 star.it has a worn look in some ways-paintwork etc.some of the staff were so so nice, reception staff not so really.when I asked if they could do something about the breeze blowing in my door at night, for the second time, they said I could change room, but that they were all the same.quite amusing really, and it wasn’t a big deal, but rather apathetic reply really.breakfast was ok,the pool is large with plenty of sun beds while we were there, and overall quite a pleasant place to stay, and I would come back again.hopefully the reception staff will get some training on customer relations in meantime.

A special thank you to the breakfast cooker who was cooking the semoun the morning and the waitress who was serving the breakfast food at the table. Zohra and Ahmad from Algeria.

This decor in this hotel is a bit eclectic but it is so nice. Beautiful courtyard with swimming pool, where you can have breakfast or dinner or go for a nice swim. Really great bar that serves amazing drinks till late. The bar has a very nice relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also has a really nice restaurant located across the street which is right on the beach. The food and drinks were great here! Also, attached to this restaurant is a private beach area (that is for the hotel guests only) where you can lay in the sun in one of the lounge chairs and/or order food and drinks from the restaurant. It is overall a great place to relax and enjoy the finer things in life :).

The hotel is in a good location close to both the beach and the medina but the rooms could certainly use an update. We initially went with no reservation and asked at the desk if they had rooms available and were told the only room was a suite at $200 a night. I went on the Orbitz app after leaving and found there were other rooms available at half the price, so I booked online. When we went back to check-in we were told that they didn't want to recommend the other rooms because they didn't have the seaview - which was irrelevant to us as we were staying one night. Give guests the option don't say something that's not true. The pool area is a nice amenity and the entry area also nice. The beds and pillows were soft (sometimes hard to find in Morocco) but the bathroom and closets etc are in need of an update.

We were visiting Essaouira for a wedding and before we checked into the wedding hotel we thought we'd try a beach front property. We regret it now because it is anything but a beach front property. You have to cross a road and it is generally not well set up. Upon check out of our brief stay, a friend from the wedding party was helping us with our bags and the male receptionist made a very rude and accusatory remark about how our reservation was for 2 people but 3 had stayed. I explained that he was a friend was just helping with our bags. The male receptionist smirked and took a very unpleasant approach. He needs retraining (he was wearing glasses). My wife misplaced some expensive oil in the room and it was supposedly thrown up by the cleaning staff, it was no where to be found. Overall, just a bad experience. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the lady at the omelette station makes a delicious morrocan gillet. Oh that reminds me, so breakfast was not included in our stay but we wanted it anyway so we went to breakfast and gave our room number. We were approach 4 times during breakfast and told me must go and pay at reception. It's totally inappropriate to do this at breakfast, especially as we had paid a deposit upon check in. I usually don't leave reviews on expedia/hotels.com but this hotel should be AVOIDED except if you really like moroccan gillette's.

My husband and I had mixed feelings about this hotel. The location across the street from the beach was great (though the area turns into a soccer arena each evening!). It was not in the medina (old walled town) but just a few blocks walk. The staff was friendly, and the lobby was trendy and beautiful. Free parking was available. The outdoor pool is large with plenty of chairs, though the water was very cold. There is a thermal spa that you can only use from 6-8 pm. The rooms were old, dated and in need of maintenance. The bathroom and the balcony were not very clean. The room smelled like mildew. The A/C was not strong. The bathroom needed repairs, and the shower was designed that water splashed all over the floor. It was disappointing, especially compared to the updated lobby. The café/bar was expensive. I expected more from Sofitel. Until they can invest to upgrade the rooms, I cannot recommend this hotel. Next time I would stay in the medina, closer to the restaurants and sights.

Lovely hotel with old world charm. Comfortable bed, big enough rooms, pleasant breakfast. All what one can expect in this fairly small town. The bathrooms could do with a bit of TLC. They were obviously upgraded at some stage, but not with a 5* contractor. One can see some unprofessional workmanship, but nothing too bad. The location is excellent, walking distance to the historical sights. Would stay there again, if in Essaouira.

That's a terrible experience. They gave to ano view balcony. We booked for a view one. They woke up us under hammers noisy at 9am. They gave to us a family a tiny room. The shower was completely blocked. I complained it 3 times. Just showing the record they tried to fix it. The water changes the temptation constantly between boiling and cold. Dangerous for kids as you need regulate it all the time. No peace of mind taking shower. They duplicated our bill paying here 4 months in advance. Accommodation + city tax. They charged me on the check out all again. Even I saying that it was paid for they didn't believe on myself. After they realized who was the lier. Themselves. They recalculated it, and charged me AGAIN A DUPLICATE BILL. WITH THE CITY TAX, ALREADY PAID FOR. THE AGAIN SAID THAT WAS NOT PAID YET. BUT THAT WAS PAID. AFTER SOMETIME THEY REALIZED WHO WAS THE FRAUDER. THEMSELVES. THEY TRIED TO STELL 5€ SAYNG THAT WE GOT THINGS FROM THE FRIDGE. THEY DID NOT DISCRIMINATED THE ITEMS. I ASKED WHAT WERE BEEN CONSUMED AND THEY COULD NOT SAY. THEY LIED AGAIN. THEY PROMISSING FULL REFUND OF MY STAY DUE RACISM, HARASSMENT, EMBARRASSING, STREESS, ETC. NEVER REFUND ME. I AM STILL DISPUTING MY MONEY BACK 250€ FOR BEEING A VICTIM OF SEVERAL CRIMES. HOTEL. COM IGNORED ME TOO. THEY DIDN'T REPLY ME QUERY. THEY LEFT MY CASE OPEN WITHOUT ANSWERING MYSELF. HOTEL. COM IS VERY NEGLECTED AND I WANT TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT with you.

We had two adjoining rooms. The hotel was in a great position across the road from a large sandy beach and a short walk to the Medina. Free parking was useful. As it was winter we used the indoor heated pool and my son used the gym every day. The breakfast was very good if a little expensive. The WIFI was annoying. It was very good when working but we often had to reconnect. The bathrooms were a little bit tired.

All hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was amazing (very comfy), the private beach area is fantastic. The bathroom was a bit tired (shower fitting fell off) but functional. We had a room with city view which was just out onto a street. Other rooms had views of the pool or even better the sea which you might want to consider. Wifi is so good all the local kids line the streets to use it! (see photo :-)) Overall a great hotel.

Nice hotel, with own private beach and decent pool and within an easy walk of the old town Medina. Obliging staff but just missing on 5* standard. Room service kept forgetting little bits, like replacing towels. Complimentry water provided everyday but no coffee machine and range of tea bags not topped up. Bathroom a bit tired looking. Complimentary arrival snacks were neither topped up nor removed when half eaten so attracted ants. But enjoyable stay and would stay again.

The hotel has arguably the best location in the city. Right across the road from the hotel is a private section of the beach closed off only for guests of the hotel. This was the highlight of our trip! You can enjoy the views of the beach and the people in comfortable loungers with staff willing to help. The rooms itself were decent - fairly outdated and nothing spectacular. The breakfast was very good.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the hotel and we loved it. It is perfectly located and provides excellent services especially the restaurants. We ate at the inside restaurant and the one by the beach, both were excellent. We highly recommend the apple pie. My wife said that it was the best apple pie she has had in her life. She is a a great baker and most importantly a Parisian, coming from her is pretty big deal. Anouar did a great job taking care of the clients at the pool. Management need to thank him and help him move up in the ranks. Youssef at room service is excellent! his customer service skills are beyond and above all of the ones we experienced during this 13 days trip in Morocco (Casa, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fez, Meknes, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, and Essaouira). I strongly suggest to put him in charge of training or give him a customer service management position. Our trip at Essaouira was one of the best in Morocco thanks to this hotel staff. Thank you.

The hotel is ok but service was not nice. During the room booking there was no option to book with a double bed as opposed to twin beds. when i requested a double bed, the receptionist give me attitude although there were loads of room available with a double bed. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. Also, the direvt touch phone dial.to room service did not work and wheb i called reception to ask to be put through, again i was given arttitude...
