The location of Novotel Paris Les Halles was absolutely exceptional! It was perfectly situated, with everything we needed just steps away, including restaurants, cafรฉs, shopping, and public transportation. Many of Parisโs most iconic attractions, including the Louvre, were within easy walking distance, making it the perfect home base for exploring the city. We couldnโt have asked for a better location!
Cons: One thing that was disappointing was the breakfast policy. The hotel advertises that children eat breakfast for free; however, we were told that a child can only receive the free breakfast if an adult purchases a full-priced breakfast. Even after explaining that I wasnโt planning to eat breakfast myself, we were still required to purchase an adult breakfast for the children to eat for free. Because of this policy, we chose to skip breakfast rather than pay $25 for an adult meal that no one in our family was going to eat. It would be helpful if this policy were made clearer when advertising that children eat free to avoid confusion for future guests.

Great location, comfy rooms and really helpful and friendly staff. Thank you to Carine on reception who went out of her way to be helpful in advising us the best transport options to watch our son at the rugby stadium and letting us know there were train disruptions. Walking distance to main sights, great little coffee shop and pastries across the road with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Positive points: - hotel is very well located, proximity to Metro stops and the Louvre museum. Restaurants and shops directly in front! - clean, feels like the hallways have been renovated (bright, new carpets) - welcoming staff at reception - as we arrived at a busy time and could not get early check-in, we stored our luggage and when returned later, they had been brought to our room (which was very appreciated) - despite size of the hotel and how busy they were, we didn't hear any noise from hallway or neighboring rooms - air conditioning!!! Other comments - room felt a bit tight (for 3 people) - management very receptive and ready to accommodate The front reception was very helpful in arranging taxi to take us to CDG airport. We look forward to returning, eager to see how the construction on the front enhances the hotel

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was excellent, with both the Louvre and Notre-Dame within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast was good and offered a nice selection. The only minor downside was that the toaster was out of order during our stay, so toast wasn't available. Check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient, with no waiting or any issues. Would like to mention Carine whom was very helpful when booking over the phone as we booked our room last minute. One thing we really appreciated was how quiet the room was. Once the balcony door was closed, we couldn't hear any outside noise, which made for a peaceful and relaxing night's sleep. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again.

Positives - Clean room, good size, polite reception team and staff in general, (check in excellent - check out not as great), nice hotel, lots of bars / restaurants opposite Negatives - build works next door they donโt tell you about (drilling at breakfast), reception have to be asked 4 times over 2 hours for a pillow, asked for milk for coffee that never arrived, Breakfast is absolutely TERRIBLE the choice and quality is awful - and I mean BAD (I chose one of the days not to eat!), Milk run out of coffee machine, No toaster for bread (no toast), I feel apart from close to the Louvre the position isnโt that great (area not as nice as other places)

Novotel Les Halleโs location is great if using the main hub metro ! It is very crowded area. I didnโt purchase breakfast thru hotel and so feel i overpaid for 3 nights there. The bakery across had good pastries/bread. I asked if we could check in early but was denied and there were alot of people waiting in lobby. I appreciated the high floor (4th floor) quiet side facing their courtyard. There is still construction on outside front entrance as of July 2026

On the positive side, the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel also offered complimentary ice cream every afternoon, which was a lovely surprise and something our kids looked forward to each day. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable, and the hotelโs location is excellent for exploring Paris.
Cons: Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance of our room did not meet our expectations for a 4-star hotel. The carpet was heavily stained and looked worn, and the shower fixtures had significant limescale buildup. The bathroom also appeared to need a more thorough clean. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The fruit salad was watery and didnโt taste fresh, the cheeses and breads also seemed stale rather than freshly prepared, and there were flies around the buffet, with some landing on the food. On one occasion, we even found a dead fly on the cheese board, which was quite off-putting.

Avoid. So disappointing. Our room wasnt ready until 430pm after first checking in at 3pm coming off a travel day and heat. The foyer was full of people waiting. Check in is 2pm on website. Hotel is under renovations, no concierge or welcome. First morning we had breakfast at the hotel...no toaster as it was "broken" from a Hotel of this chain we would expect a working toaster. We ate out other days due to sub par breakfast choices. The A/C is terrible, we understand Europe AC is different however it was uncomfortable to even sleep at night. Our room wasnt cleaned or provided fresh towels until after 630pm on second day when we had to ring. Reception bought our towls up and acknowledged they were behind on housekeeping. Pillows were a dishevelled mess, multiple parts to them..need to be thrown out and new ones provided. Hallways smelled like toilet. Only positive would be the location.

The concierge was lovely and every afternoon served free tasty ice cream to the guests which was wonderful because it was very hot outside. Breakfast was very good. The location is great, close to the Louvre, Notre dame and the Marais qrt. Oh ..and there is a huge shopping mall behind the hotel.
Cons: The hallways are a bit dated and smelly. In the late morning there was some noise from the renovation in the hotel but it was tolerable.

The area was great, close to the Metro and other sites. The breakfast was nice too and wait staff very lovely.
Cons: Our room was really not nice, the carpet is outdated and dirty. The room had mould and when we told guest relations they said they hotel was fully booked and nothing they could do. They also never restocked the bar fridge from the previous guest as there was half drunk items on some beverages and left it in the fridge. There was renovations going on so some noise. Rooms really need an upgrade it wasnโt pleasant.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The location is excellent and makes it very convenient for exploring Paris. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the breakfast offered a good variety, the amenities were nice, the hot water pressure was excellent, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Although we experienced few operational issues during our stay, I believe they were isolated incidents and did not overshadow the many positive aspects of the hotel. Overall, the positives clearly outweighed the negatives, and I would happily consider staying here again on a future visit to Paris.

Cons: It felt like false advertising- this feels way more like a 2.5 star property so it was very frustrating to pay 4 star prices. The AC never worked properly in rooms or lobby which in an historic heat wave was horrible - it was never more than a few degrees cooler than outside (so like above 35C!) and the staff kept insisting it was working whenever we asked. The bathrooms in the room were newer but tiny but the bed/rooms were uncomfortable and cramped. We booked a room for a family of 4 and the room was absolutely for 3 - the second bed was tiny and we knew it was meant for 3 when there were only 3 pillows and 3 towels. There was also dried blood on our blankets and when we mentioned it to front staff they said sorry but didnโt remove it. We also checked in 2.5 hrs after check in time and our room was not ready and they made us wait in the lobby for far too long (when the lobby was easily 40C). The previous weekend we stayed in another Paris hotel for the exact same prices and it was lovely - actual room for 4, working AC, equally great location for the same price per night. Folks save your money and spend it in one of the hundreds of other hotels in Paris. Iโve traveled across Europe for 25 years and this was definitely one of the worst hotels Iโve been in, especially for the price.

Novotel Paris has black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The air conditioning does not work during the hottest week of the year. No attempts to correct or find fans. Windows are nailed shut. This has been the worst hotel experience of my life.

My husband & I found this hotel to be par excellence. We purposefully went to Paris to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Staying at Novetel Paris le Halles was such a good choice. The rooms, the staff, the service and the breakfast were tops. They left a bottle of champagne and chocs quietly into our suite as a big surprise to us. They upgraded us with no extra cost, we can't praise them enough it was so good. The hotel is right beside the metro & train station for easy travel to the main attractions. There was lots of good restaurants near the hotel. We enjoyed the French restaurants in particular. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends for all of the above reasons. Cons: The check in was horrible. We arrived at 1:30 pm (check-in clearly noted 2 PM) and told the rooms not ready. They said 20-30 min and took our luggage and it was all good. We went for lunch and came back over an hour later and still our rooms were not ready! We had two rooms with five people so we all waited another 30 minutes in the lobby before being given one small room for the two people and told the other room would maybe be an hour or so!? We had arrived on an international flight and been up for over 24 hours at that point and finally around 4 pm - 2 hours after check-in time before we finally got the room! The bed was super uncomfortable, incredibly lumpy. The pillows had no support. Stayed four nights - itโs important to note that the hotel is under major construction (not sure how long this will take) but If you plan to sleep in past 9 AM the jackhammer will start and shakes the whole building. For some reason on the third night, the water started running. Water was running constantly in the wall. No water was leaking into the room that could be seen but It sounded like someone was showering constantly all night long. The water ran like you were sleeping in a waterfall and kept us up. I spoke to the concierge who said they would check on it as it sounded like a pipe or toilet was broken or something. By the next night, I called down again after not having any sleep and was told there was an issue with the hotel and nothing could be done. The water wasnโt causing damage - It was just running through the pipes like a waterfall was raging all night long in the room - needless to say we couldnโt wait to check out after four very sleepless, tired nights at this hotel

Cons: Die Preise (allerdings auch allgemein fรผr รbernachtungen in Paris) stehen in keinem Verhรคltnis. Die Ausstattung ist ausreichend, aber fรผr den Preis eher Basic und klein (Dreibettzimmer). Die Lobby und der Frรผhstรผcksraum waren meistens sehr รผberfรผllt und das Frรผhstรผck war trotz vorheriger Nachfrage nicht wirklich vegan-freundlich.

Le petit-dรฉjeuner est bon, les produits sont de qualitรฉ, mais un peu cher (25 โฌ par personne, les enfants sont gratuits). Le personnel est aimable et poli. Le bar propose un large choix de boissons, mais malheureusement rien nโest gratuit : la liste des prix se trouve dans le bar. Dans lโensemble, un trรจs bon sรฉjour ร Paris.

Cons: Only odd thing about our King suite was the location of toilet. It was in its own room right at the entrance of the suite, while the sink and shower/tub were at the back of suite in a separate bathroom. Therefore after using toilet you had to walk back to the bathroom to wash hands.

Cons: Shower room floor slippery and don't like the button for transparent view- there should be total privacy on shower room. Light control needs to separate some. Don't like the cooler or storage for drinks, we didn't use it and somebody took one of the bottle, its missing. There's no refrigerator to store water or drinks. Bathroom mirror too high.

We happened to stay there during music festival and the music was sooo loud from 6pm till 2am.. we couldnโt sleep and the streets were so dirty and smelly after the festival. But I know itโs not just that area, it happens to other area as well. But we will appreciate it if the hotel can inform us of this event prior to booking so we can take this into consideration when booking. With young kids, I would not have booked the room if I was aware of the event.

We are a family of four and stayed for 3 nights in December 2025. The location is fantastic, good walking distance to famous sites and the train. Plenty of food options nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful in both reception and the restaurant. They allowed us to check in early which was so very much appreciated after a long flight with young children. Beds were comfy, children slept on a fold out sofa. The buffet breakfast was delicious, loved the fresh omelettes and french pastries.
Cons: The hotel is under renovation so we initially had a little trouble finding it as it was covered in scaffolding and the signage could be better. Our corridor had a strong paint smell from being painted and there was plastic on the floor, carpet was being laid directly outside our room for our whole stay. The shower head was replaced in our bathroom after we checked in which we werenโt advised about and the carpet in the room was heavily stained so hopefully that will be part of their renovation. The ice/water machine in the corridor was broken.

Les Halles is a busy, bustling location and the Novotel is right in the middle of this spot. From the hotel we were able to comfortably walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and other central spots. The hotel is definitely business centered, but there were plenty of other families. A lovely little boulangerie is located within steps. The rooms were very comfortable, we booked two for our family of five. It was a very clean hotel and despite the bustling location, we all slept very well.

Cons: A very disappointing stay at the Novotel Paris Les Halles, unworthy of a 4-star hotel. Despite the "I am out" sign clearly displayed on the door and my absence all day, the room still hadn't been cleaned by 5:20 pm. This kind of oversight is unacceptable for an establishment of this category. Furthermore, the hotel is undergoing renovations, which significantly detracts from the experience: the temporary reception area is extremely cramped, and the temporary breakfast room, without any windows and with tables too close together, creates a stuffy and unpleasant atmosphere. The most problematic aspect is that these conditions were not mentioned at all at the time of booking. This complete lack of information is misleading and does not meet the standards expected of a group like Novotel. Aside from the location, the overall experience was very disappointing.
