I found our stay at the Movenpick in Casablanca very frustrating. The complete lack of care and attention to detail was appalling. I would not recommend anyone stay here given the price that is being paid. I expect better. The check in took well over 30 mins and we just had to wait around for an unknown reason. The bathroom had a long list of minor issues. The foot pedal on the bin was broken, the flush on the loo was broken (it did still work!), the lighting in the shower was poor, the toilet paper was thin and cheap feeling, floor was dirty in places with old hair, some of the tiles were cracked, the galvanisation on the fittings was peeling and there was no deal on the shower screen so the floor got really wet. However the thing that really annoyed me was that the paining was so bad. There was paint splatter on the floor and on the counter. There was even paint all over things that could easily be moved including the phone and pictures. It was just lazy and uncaring. In the bedroom the windows were very dirty and covered in bird droppings, the mugs were blemished, the safe was permanently locked, the veneer on some of the little tables was bubbling and peeling. Also having kids when we went to leave I was checking under the bed for toys I found some of the slates of the bed were broken and there was a food bowl under there! The top floor had a great view. The hotel however tried to do too much with it. The pool was up there along with the dining room. I felt a bit weird swimming whilst people had their lunch. The ground around the pool was also very slippery. They had someone permanently mopping it, yet my daughter still fell over. There was also a number of missing tiles which I actually had fun diving for! The breakfast was alright and there was a range of options. I got down early one morning and watched staff cleaning tables. I use the term loosely, they seemed to push the crumbs on the floor and then flip the mats over for the next guest! When we had arrived down later the day before there had been a lack of cutlery and plates/bowls available. The check out was probably the most frustrating part of the whole stay. I’d been staying with my wife and kids in two rooms. You get a 50% discount on the second room and the kids get free breakfast. I had the details with me on the cost we were set to pay. Despite all of this they couldn’t get their systems to line up. This meant we waited for over an hour while they sorted it out. Eventually they found out they had charged me for kids breakfasts. This meant we got away later than we hoped for a long drive.

My second stay within a few weeks of each other and was lovely to be remembered by a few of the staff. All staff are so friendly and helpful and eager to please. My room was upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise and bed is so comfortable. Great dinner at rooftop restaurant and lovely views. Good sized gym for a hotel with lots of equipment. Breakfast is really good too and once again charming staff, one even remembered my hot water for my teabags! Location is very central and safe in daylight for sure, I didn't go out at night.
Cons: Had very noisy next door neighbours on middle night of stay and when I called reception no one answered. As Casablanca is very busy with traffic you will hear cars beeping at night late and early morning. One small improvement would be to get the windows cleaned. Views are spoiled by bird droppings on the windows and would make a big difference.

Perfect is an understatement! Fast Wi-Fi, great location. Definitely recommend for any business traveler. The room was tidy and fresh, and the staff are polite and offer a warm smile. Especially I want to thank the hotel manager. She was extremely respectful and always took the initiative to help with any questions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is centrally located, restaurant upstairs is nice and staff from the restaurant is very friendly. They serve food until 00 hrs which can be convenient for late arrival. The hotel is slightly difficult to reach per cab given it is located at a busy streat and both cabs I used had difficulties. Cleaness is an issue, the room was quite dirty, there was a piece of bread on the floor and some other dirty spots on the carpet. It clearly has not been vacum cleaned between guests. The toilet was also not very clean and the bathroom sink was also stained and not clean. The lady at the reception was a little impatient at checkout and not as friendly. Breakfast was good and staff was nice. Because of the cleaness I would not recommend it as this is an important point for a hotel room.

Je tiens à souligner que le personnel est la seule lumière dans cet établissement. Ils sont accueillants, professionnels et font de leur mieux pour rendre le séjour agréable.
Cons: Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel, surtout pour un séjour avec un jeune enfant. Notre expérience a été très décevante de nos attentes, et le seul point positif a été la courtoisie du personnel. Malheureusement, cela n'a pas suffi à compenser les nombreux désagréments : · Chambre insalubre et vétuste : Nous étions à l'étage 11 dans une chambre extrêmement vétuste. L'absence de fenêtre qui s'ouvre a créé une sensation d'enfermement étouffante, aggravée par une odeur d'humidité persistante. · Problèmes de propreté majeurs : La salle de bain était la pire surprise. L'évier de la douche était couvert de tarte (calcaire), ce qui est inacceptable. · Manque d'équipements de base : Aucun kit de salle de bain n'était fourni (pas de brosse à dent, ni de peigne, etc.), un service pourtant standard dans la majorité des hôtels. En résumé, cet hôtel a grand besoin d'une rénovation urgente et d'un nettoyage en profondeur. Le rapport qualité-prix est inexistant. Nous ne reviendrons certainement pas et déconseillons ce séjour à quiconque recherche un minimum de confort et d'hygiène.

The guest relations was extremely nice and very solution-oriented — they really took care of everything, even my concerns about breakfast. At first, the vegetarian/vegan options were limited, but they quickly handled it and made sure I was satisfied. The rooms are comfortable but could use some renovation to feel more modern. Overall, a pleasant stay thanks to the caring and professional team.

Great breakfast with awesome swlection of cold and warm kitchen, custom made eggs from the best chef, Ismail waiter of restaurant is always smiling and helping with all extras. Room cleaning is another chapter, the cleaning lady puts a lot of extra effort in her job, it is like your mum prepaire your room for you to have a good rest. Realy amazing. We were upgraded to a very large room.
Cons: During check in we received a "free" upgrade which turned out not to be free at all. The room at first sight seemed splendid but... there were many and very big stains in the floor carpet. Moreover, after a couple of hours an overwhelming stench developed (on the entire floor we stayed) during our stay which was so terrible that it made my 82 year old mother gag and heave every time we entered our room. We slept with our head under the sheets and sprayed our sheets with perfume. During daytime we fled our room.§ It goes without saying that we complained at the service desk and at first people were very friendly and would look into this. Subsequently we heard nothing. Next day, same story, nothing changed. It was strange that We seemed to be the only people staying at that floor. The reason why we stayed at this hotel is that my son is a pilot with TUI airlines and he was staying there for his job. And my mother, (his grandmother) really wished to stay close to her grandson. Otherwise I immediately would have left the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for five days while in morocco. The pictures online made it seem like it was a five star hotel. The first room, I entered, stunk horribly of cigarette, smoke and urine. I called the reception and asked to move. They sent me to another room. That room also stunk horribly of cigarette smoke. Finally, at two in the morning, I couldn’t deal with cigarette smoke smell and didn’t want to be a pain in the ass but I had to call and ask for a different room since I couldn’t breathe. Finally, they put me in a room on the 14th floor, that was free of cigarette smoke. The room was very nice but the carpets were absolutely filthy, dark stains all over it. In the mornings, I woke up to doors slamming one after another, and I mean, slamming. I looked my door and saw it was a housekeeper going in and out of the rooms cleaning. Also, to note, there are no English channels on the television here. There are lots of channels, but nothing with English at all. The breakfast buffet was good and the pool was very nice but all together I would not recommend this place, and would not stay here again. the pool also closes very early for the dinner guests so that was a bummer.

Warning ** Backpackers Hotel ** If you like to be stressed out, then stay here! The worst possible stay I have had in 20 years! NO Air conditioning working, I changed my room multiple times and still there was no AC working. The engineer came to repair the AC, however all he did was push the temp up and down several times and that was it. Not exactly technical he never returned and when I asked him later on whats going on, he said it was fixed! Nothing of the sort… NO AC! As a Platinum Accor member, no amnesties were given not even water in the room. I requested water several times and in the end, went to buy some myself from the shop outside. The iron was from the 1970’s with some of the electric cords visible and deep cuts in the earth cable, had I not seen this and plugged it in, I would have had an electric shock. The bathroom was dismal and no way this hotel can say they are a 5 star! Its really impossible. You need to use all the towels on the floor to keep it dry because the glass is missing the rubber seal from the bottom, so all the water seeps out, this was present in all the rooms. The service is absolutely zero, breakfast is a waste of money. The valet could not find the car for 20 odd minutes only to tell me he parked it in another street and gave me directions to the car. I moved hotels to the Marriot Courtyard, absolutely spot on! No issues and they went above and beyond to accommodate me, even I am not a Bonvoy member but for sure shall be! I am expecting some form of lame excuse from the hotel, as after I checked out they wanted to resolve the issue! A little too late! You lost a customer, not that you care. For sure I shall take this up with Accor as the hotel falls far beyond the expectations, even the Ibis has better rooms and better service.

The response I got was very dismissive – simply, “No, we didn’t receive anything.” I am 100% certain of where I left my items – in the bathroom of the room. Despite my clear and timely report, the hotel denied finding anything. I feel deeply disappointed and let down by the lack of concern or proper follow-up. This experience has ruined my impression of the hotel, and I strongly advise future guests to be cautious. I know my watch is still there.

Location and staff were great; however, I did knock down one star because the pool closes extremely early (6pm) so that they can open up for dinner service. Had I seen this before booking, I would not have done so. Upon checking in I was given later hour (730pm) so it was very confusing when I tried to go swim at 630pm. I had tours planned the next morning so I was never able to use the pool.

It was a very good stay at this hotel, since the beginning Hajar the guest relations took care of us, we were in 3 people going for work and taking care of all details, since the check in till the check out that we needed to make it a bit later than the allowed time. We would definitely come back and stay again. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they were all perfect and welcoming. The location was perfect, not enough choice for gluten-free breakfast. Not enough choice for juice at breakfast and not cold enough. The curtains in the very old rooms don't block out the light in the morning. The windows don't block out the sound of car horns. The room cards deactivate quite regularly, it's awful to go downstairs and wait to re-enter your cards.

After an exhausting week exploring all over Morocco, we looked forward to relaxing in luxury to celebrate my husband's birthday. All of the staff that we interacted with (e.g. front desk, concierge, etc.) were very polite and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean with a lot of thoughtful touches.
Cons: Our tour driver warned us to be careful at night in this area of Casablanca and suggested taking a taxi if we wanted to go anywhere after dark. We just ended up unwinding in our room, but the concierge was very helpful in assisting us with a taxi the following morning when we went to the airport.

The house keeping would enter the room w/o notice. The pool area was occupied for a private party after 5pm, we couldn't use it, on the day of check out house keeping entered again the room at 8am.. the mattress is very uncomfortable, they have a layer which looks like a quilt, super soft and inappropriate. We do not recommend this hotel, it is not worth what we paid.

Right from the start, I was greeted with friendliness and smiles! My luggage was carried and my doors were opened. I walked in and it was so clean and quiet. Akli and Lastar at the front desk were so friendly and helpful aswell. We laughed about how the temperature was so cold for them but was perfect for me. I definitely recommend coming here!

We had a good stay. The room was cosy, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped, the shower had great pressure and water temperature regulation. We didn't try the breakfast, but the room service was delicious and quick (even on New Year's Eve past midnight!). It's located within a few minutes from the train station, and it was a nice walk to the Medina. Wifi worked really well. Thank you Hajar for the warm welcome to the hotel!!
Cons: The room wasn't 100% soundproof and as it is located close to a busy avenue, it could be a hassle for those sensitive to noise during the evening.

Il est très bien situé, dans le centre-ville et le personnel est très bien, tout le personnel est sympathique. En particulier le personnel de la réception, Badr, et la responsable des relations avec la clientèle, Hajar, sont très bien. Je viendrai moi-même la prochaine fois et je le recommanderais à des amis. Je recommanderais également Move and Pick Hotel - l'atmosphère du restaurant à l'intérieur de l'hôtel et leur personnel sont également très bons et la nourriture est également très bonne, l'atmosphère de tout l'hôtel est très propre, et le petit déjeuner était également très bon avec beaucoup de variété.

He provided me with excellent, personalized service and ensured that my stay was everything that I hoped that it would be! Thank you Mohamed! He also got me connected with Abdullah, who was my taxi driver / tour guide. Abdullah was a wonderful and knowledgeable person. Chaque fois que j'avais besoin d aide,elle était toujours disponible et d'une grande efficacité,que ce soit pour des demandes simples ou des informations plus complexes concernant les services de l hôtel et les activités locales. The reception staff named fatimzahrae was very helpful and even when I check out I forgot my stuff in the room and she texted me to inform me about it and they kept it safe. Housekeeping staff . Waitress and waiters from morning buffet and 16 floor were so professional and helpful.
Cons: One night I was on the rooftop restaurant and we sat with my colleague on the table and apparently the table was reserved and the waiter she didn’t know about it . however there was a person wearing suit was shouting at her and to the restaurant staff. Which I believe he is a supervisor or manager . I felt very bad and angry about it since we sit on that table . Anyway such supervisor or manager should be educated on how to deal with his staff and guests. I believe Acoor should educate the hotel staff specially the supervisor and manager. And teach them how to deal with guests.

No advantages except it's in the central of the city. Very old hotel without proper maintenance. The first thing I found out in the room was the washstand which cannot be drained. Managers at the receptions were very unprofessional and unkind. Probably not all of them, but at least the people I met for three days were. I'd rather stay another hotel for my next trip to the city.

Nous avons rencontré des difficultés significatives le premier jour, en particulier avec la première chambre qui nous a été attribuée. Le reste du séjour s'est avéré plus agréable grâce au dévouement exceptionnel de Hajar Guest Relation, qui a déployé tous les efforts possibles pour remédier aux problèmes rencontrés au sein de l'hôtel. Il est important de noter que j'ai déboursé 4 000 dirhams pour deux nuits, ce qui en fait l'un des hôtels les plus onéreux de Casablanca à ce tarif. Compte tenu de ce niveau de prix, nous nous attendions à un établissement de haut standing. Malheureusement, cela n'a pas été le cas, hormis le problème d'accessibilité en fauteuil roulant dans la chambre, qui a été résolu le deuxième jour.. Le soir de notre arrivée, nous avons dîné à la terrasse de votre restaurant. Nous sommes arrivés à 20h45 et avons été servis à 22h30. Ce délai d'attente est inacceptable pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, surtout au vu du prix payé (800 dirhams). Notre première chambre, bien qu'elle ne soit pas accessible aux fauteuils roulants, ne répond pas aux normes d'une chambre d'hôtel cinq étoiles. Télévision qui ne fonctionnait pas, pas de piles dans la télécommande, prise qui rentre dans le murs,fenêtre absolument pas propres, porte de la salle de bain qui été cassé,siège de bureau tâché dans tous les sens, ect.....Et j'en oublie Seriez-vous d'accord pour dire que cela est inacceptable pour un établissement hôtelier de ce standing ?

The pool was nice to have and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was pretty good.
Cons: Construction started at 8am directly below our room and even headphones couldn’t block out the noise. The shower was missing a part so water just ran out and flooded the bathroom; we were given extra towels as a solution. There was also black mold in the shower and sink. When we had to leave to catch our flight before the breakfast buffet was available, we were told to call down and something would be brought up. When we did, they brought 1 coffee, 1 juice, and 3 bread buns for 2 people.

Cons: - Je nachdem welches Zimmer man erwischt; durchgehend leichte brummgeräusche. - Fenster müssen dringend geputzt werden. - Manchmal hat man den Eindruck das Hotelpersoal interessiert sich mehr für das eigene Smartphon als für den Gast.

Cons: the bathroom lock was faulty and locked me in for a long while despite asking not fixed, the tv wouldnt work, the telephone wasnt working for the whole stay (by the way i paid for 2 more days as i hadnt completed the tasks i was out there for, this was only because i couldnt be bothered to move hotels) finally the entry cards to the room kept stop working despite not being next to a phone or any other cards. shambles!

Cons: バスタブのあるクイーンルームを予約したが、受付で渡されたのは、シングルルームでシャワーしかない部屋。部屋に入ると下水の匂いもひどい。バスタブがなく当初リクエストした部屋と異なるというと、フロントで、平気な顔で、部屋はもうない、明日なら別の部屋が開くかもと言う。またブッキング.comは写真と異なるという。バスタブある部屋がギャランティされていないのはそちらの責任で直ちに用意しろというとしぶしぶクイーンルームの鍵が渡されました。こういう対応はホテルだけでなく国のイメージも毀損します。

Cons: Ma fille s’est blessée dans leur piscine qui n’est pas aux normes et à des carreaux de sa faïence qui sont cassés. Ma fille s’est ouvert l’orteil au bord de la piscine où elle avait pied. Elle hurlait de douleur et avait un bout de peau complètement arraché. Le personnel de la piscine m’a confirmé que c’était dangereux et que des carreaux étant manquant, d’où l’accident de ma fille. En fin de compte on me propose un déjeuné au restaurant de la piscine pour garder le silence. Faite attention.
