Cons: Manque insonorisation causée par le bruit des restaurants bar ambiancés sur le côté droit de l’hôtel. Un manque de communication entre le services se fait sentir cela saute aux yeux et fait perdre la magie à l’hôtel Confus sur les chambres, demandes auprès du personnel qui ne sont pas prises en compte.

An amazing experience. 5-star staff. Everyone is kind. Beautiful hotel. Nice walk to Cannes. Very relaxing. Must check out the beach and have an aperol-spritz. Food wise: top notch. You can simply enjoy the sound of the beach, drinking Prosecco and casually eating in a sofa chair on the sand. Heaven! I'm usually sensitive to gluten but I could eat everything without issue. Easy to pay with apple-pay everywhere in the city.

Cons: L'absence de brosse de toilette est regrettable qui plus est pour un 5*; un panier de fruit voir une attention serait le bienvenu comme dans tous les hôtels 5* que nous avons fréquentés. Enfin deux petites cuillères en lieu et place de touillettes en bois serait plus agréable.

Cons: Ho prenotato la cena presso il ristorante LE SUD per il 31 dicembre insieme ad altri amici ospiti dell'hotel Al momento del check out ho scoperto che la manager senza preavvertire aveva addebito sulla mia camera sia il soggiorno di un'altra coppia sia tutte le bevande sul mio conto. Ripeto senza contattarmi prima.

Cons: Ciò che ha infastidito è la veranda non sufficientemente riscaldata e in particolar modo la sala riservata alle colazioni e alla cene. Dall'infisso centrale entra un'aria gelida creando un notevole disagio durante la permanenza. Per ovviare temporaneamente all'inconveniente, vengono fornite delle coperte che aiutano a riscaldarsi , ma questa soluzione non è adeguata a risolvere il problema definitivamente. In un hotel a 5 stelle il problema dovrebbe essere risolto definitivamente. Ritengo che un infisso con bandelle mobili potrebbe essere chiuso all'occorrenza e aperto quando serve per il ricircolo dell'aria.

We have stayed Hotel Martinez many times and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are very comfortable and the entire hotel is immaculately clean. We also really enjoyed the New Year dinner and celebrations. The only complaint is that there were WAY too many dogs allowed in the hotel on this stay. They were everywhere and were quite a nuisance e.g. we were woken up most mornings by a dog barking on our floor and on some evenings when we were in our room before going out, we could hear a dog barking in the corridor. We had dinner in Le Sur on our first evening and another guest had a large dog that kept pulling on its lead and bothering guests at nearby tables. While I appreciate that pets are permitted, it is not acceptable for guests to be disturbed in this way and with such frequency. I would suggest that the hotel looks at having pet and non-pet floors and consider the size of the dogs allowed (there were a lot of very large dogs this time). All in all, a lovely stay and experience - just somewhat spoiled by so many pets!

From the very beginning, the welcome was gracious and professional, and we were kindly upgraded from a Superior room to a beautiful suite on the 4th floor, which made the occasion feel even more special. I’ve been travelling for business for over 40 years and have stayed in many iconic luxury properties worldwide, including the Bellagio in Las Vegas. This hotel truly stands out. The quality of the room, the choice of materials, and the overall level of finish were exceptional. Every facility and service felt genuinely top-tier and thoughtfully executed. The staff were impeccably trained, confident in their roles, and consistently helpful—always present when needed, yet never intrusive. Valet service on arrival was prompt and efficient, taking care of our car smoothly and professionally. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The view was stunning, and watching the New Year fireworks from our suite was unforgettable. We will absolutely return.

During my most recent stay, however, several aspects did not meet the level of consistency expected from a 5-star property — particularly regarding restaurant service, flexibility in handling requests, and overall service coherence. Management responded politely to my feedback, but the reply remained very general and did not outline concrete corrective measures. Positive elements included the breakfast quality, the renovated bar, and the professionalism of the valet team. Nevertheless, at this positioning and price level, substance and accountability matter as much as form.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel et mémorable au Martinez. Cet hôtel magnifique, parfaitement situé à Cannes, nous a offert une chambre spacieuse et superbe au 5e étage, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer et la Croisette. Le personnel, agréable et attentionné, nous a comblé, que ce soit à la conciergerie, à la réception ou dans l’espace de restauration (un petit clin d'œil à Sandra et Elies au restaurant Le Sud). Tout était parfait, c'était que du bonheur ! Notre petite chienne Willow a été traitée comme une véritable princesse, et nous remercions tous ses admirateurs pour leur gentillesse. Une attention toute particulière a également été portée à mon épouse pour son anniversaire, et nous en sommes très reconnaissants. Un grand merci au manager général et à toute son équipe. L'atmosphère chaleureuse et le service irréprochable font de cet endroit une valeur sûre que nous recommandons sans hésitation. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dès que l'occasion se présentera.

Séjour dans un hotel mythique sans déception. Le personnel au petits soins, le cadre beau, sobre, moderne. En bord de mer avec son bar aux chaises dans le sable. Le bar de l'hotel dans les tons rouges est vraiment beau et je conseille d'y aller boire un verre. Bref, séjour de rêve avec il est vrai un surclassement bien agréable (à cause de bruits de travaux dans la rue) .
Cons: J'ai vraiment tout apprécié. Il y a eu qq soucis évidemment mais uniquement le dimanche (peut-être moins de personnel...) et rien de bien grave. Juste une remarque sur le bar de la plage où une partie du personnel était bien en dessous du niveau de l'hotel.

The hotel's personnel is VERY friendly and helpful. My friend last year and myself this year forgot some items in our rooms and they were found and returned to us by Martinez. I applied for the forgotten item the next day after check out, while my friend applied 10 days after check out and her newly bought Dior shoes were found and returned to her. The hotel has a dedicated lost and found service and can even ship your forgotten items by post to your home country. The breakfast is reach and there's enough space in the restaurant and on the buffet for everyone. The views both: to the garden and the sea are beautiful. Martinez Beach Club with its restaurant is outstanding. The rooms and all public areas are new, bright and very compfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel. It worth the money you pay.

Despite asking for a late check out already during the check in, at the date of check out i received unusual pressure to leave the room well in advance of the agreed time. I was called via phone and disturbed during work meetings with clients. Also my access card was disconnected and could not access the level/room anymore, i has to go down back to reception. then 30 minuted before the agreed time, room service ringed my bell to enter the room. this seemed to me an unusual pressure against was initially agreed. This is certainly not what i call good service and cerainly not for a room rate of 290 euros/night + 55 euros/day for parking....

Everything from the common areas (lobby, spa, pool, restaurants) to the individual rooms has a fantastic design which makes you feel great. Do get the sea view. It’s worth it! The staff is friendly and warm. They made us feel extra special, especially Marie-Lea in the hotel restaurant, Elea at the front desk, and Renaud at vallet. We had such a wonderful 10-days stay experience and will definitely come back. Indeed we will be back in the coming spring for a 2-weeks+ stay! The lady Lyle or Lilou or (?) on the front desk who checked us in and out was super helpful and pleasant to work with. For the breakfasts, the ladies Vanessa(?) and Carla and team were fabulous who took very good care of us and made our days every days. The spa team and services were fantastic. The Concierge team was very responsive, efficient and supportive. Last but not least the housekeeping team was simply amazing throughout our stay. Always did an excellent and outstanding job! We have been regularly traveling and vacationing in Cannes since 1993 and had always stayed in Carlton but will only stay at the Hotel Martinez from now on.

Zero value to the customer experience. The 5 star experience comes from history, not the current affairs, beyond a shocking experience. The hotel shows incompetence and a lack of interest in resolving paying client issues. When we had issue during our stay your team told us 4 separate stories to what happened in the space of 20 minutes and no one seemed to know what was actually going on. While the hotel facilities were great it's a shame we are not treated as valued guests and with such minimal attention.

She greeted me with such a warm smile and a really kind, welcoming energy. She walked me through the hotel’s amenities, showed me to my room, and made sure I had everything I needed. Even during my stay, she checked in to make sure I was comfortable. Carla was genuinely caring and professional—exactly what you want from front desk staff. I also want to highlight Catherine in the restaurant. She was attentive, kind, and made every meal feel really pleasant. Her friendly personality made the dining experience that much better. Stayed here last week for 3 nights and what a sheer delight.From entering the main door the staff were so polite and friendly. We had a king room which was lovely. It was a good size and the amount of mirrors in the room was like none other I have had and same goes for lighting.The room had 4 different light settings with a night setting also.Hot water was excellent with good pressure.Great hairdryer also and nice toiletries. The bedding was white,lovely crisp cotton.Breakfast was really lovely and served till 11am.huge selection and a cooked breakfast if you wanted it too. Had a drink in the bar which was lovely. Had a nice meal at Vesuvio,2 min walk which was very authentic and super busy.We didn't eat dinner in hotel as its too nouvelle cuisine for us but was told its one of the best in Cannes! All in all a beautiful hotel with lovely fresh flower arrangements and diffusers.You have to stay here to see it for yourself!

The Hotel Martinez isn’t just a hotel it’s a lifestyle choice. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that “Oh, I definitely don’t belong here, but let’s pretend I do” energy. The Martinez is truly one of the best hotels worldwide. After its tasteful renovation the hotel is full of french riviera charme and the team spirit is high. You get full attendance to the guest. Food, location, service - it‘s a seamless service, even at the beachclub. You should opt for one of the seaview rooms or suites overlooking the Croisette.

A luxurious beachfront hotel in the best location in Cannes. I'm on a special trip with my family, and the hotel is making my trip even more special. Upon arrival, we were offered the amazing an spacious Oasis Suite with a panoramic ceiling and a balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast is delicious. The pool and beach club are unmissable. But the highlight is the service from all the staff. A perfect trip from the start.

Badet på rommet var helt nydelig - art deco stilen er virkelig gjennomført! Lobbyen er en perle, bassenget inne på hotellet er flott, strandklubben er ypperlig, og maten er god. Badekåpene på rommet var blant de mest komfortable jeg noen gang har hatt på meg. SPAet var flott, og jeg skulle ønske jeg hadde fått til å gjennomføre en behandling som dessverre var fullbooket da jeg var der. Alt i alt, så ser jeg hvorfor dette hotellet har en legendarisk status.
Cons: Det eneste jeg ville forbedret, hadde vært å sjekke med gjester (ihvertfall de over 50) om det går greit for dem å klyve inn og ut av høye badekar for å ta en dusj. Jeg hadde dessverre ikke en frittstående dusj på rommet mitt, og var litt redd for å skli og falle på vei inn og ut av badekaret. Hadde foretrukket en frittstående dusj, og jeg skulle ønske hotellet hadde spurt meg om dette i forkant. Ellers var komforten på rommet helt super.

We had the most amazing honeymoon at this hotel. First of all, it smells incredible the second you walk in, which to me is always a nice touch. The guest check in experience was so seamless! They brought us coffee and water, our room was not ready, so they gave us restaurant recommendations and called us as soon as it was, they took us on a tour of the hotel, the food was INCREDIBLE!!!! I had flowers with me, and they took them from me and put them in a vase in our room which was so lovely. They even knew about our honeymoon and brought us champagne and chocolate as a surprise. SO SWEET! The concierges (shout out Lucille) were brilliant, the beach club was incredible, overall, it was a 10/10 time!!!

What a wonderful hotel which made my stay in Cannes, spectacular. The hotel and its facilities are everything you would hope for, the beds are huge and comfy and the hotel is spotless. The private beach/bar opposite was really good and I would recommend staying at this hotel if you get an opportunity to do so, I don't think you will be disappointed.

This is a lush hotel, designed to perfection and with very attentive staff. Breakfast is amazing, with staff heroically fending off pigeons on the outdoor terrace. I loved the free coffee in the arrivals area and the ergonomically designed water bottles, which are also handed out freely. Aside from the beauty of the facilities, what I most appreciated was the fact that the sun loungers are free for hotel guests, which is only fair, given the hotel rates. One of the hotels next door, which I stayed at afterwards, charges nearly €80 for a sunbed, which I find ridiculous. Both the beach club and the swimming pool on the hotel's premises are wonderful.

To our delight, the General Manager herself, came by to welcome us – a thoughtful gesture that made us feel both valued and at home. The absolute highlight of our trip, however, was the concierge desk. I cannot emphasize enough how extraordinary this team is. No matter how big, small, unusual, or seemingly unreasonable the request, their response was always the same: “Of course, we’ll take care of it.” Their ability to make the impossible possible was simply unmatched, and it transformed our stay into something unforgettable. Evenings at the hotel were just as memorable. The bar provided the perfect atmosphere – stylish, lively, and with impeccable service. While we were there, a lady DJ played sets that elevated every night into a celebration. Her music, combined with the vibrant yet relaxed vibe of the space, kept us happily coming back night after night. There was absolutely nothing to complain about – everything from the service to the ambiance exceeded our expectations. Hotel Martinez truly embodies the essence of five-star hospitality, and it is a place we would return to again and again without hesitation.

We had an unforgettable experience at Hotel Martinez in Cannes! Our room was absolutely wonderful – elegant, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with every comfort you could wish for. Housekeeping is truly outstanding, and the attention to detail can be felt everywhere. Breakfast was simply delicious, with plenty of variety and a lovely atmosphere to start the day on the French Riviera. The private beach, with its fine sand and excellent facilities, is a little paradise where you can truly relax and enjoy the sun. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. But what really made our stay so special was meeting Navila. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for the guests impressed us deeply. Thanks to her, we felt not just like visitors, but truly valued guests. Hotel Martinez is without doubt a jewel of the Riviera, but Navila gives it that extra touch of magic. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our room on the sixth floor although the bathroom was too small and the closet was tiny Service throughout the hotel was excellent although housekeeping was inconsistent. They routinely forget to replace coffee cups, teabags, etc. Not what you'd expect for over $1,100 a night. Overall though the Martinez is highly recommended.

Everything at the hotel was great besides our salon experience. My friend is French so she explained for me to the stylist that we wanted our hair curled. We even showed up with our hair washed & ready to style. Unfortunately, after 1hr or so we left with straight hair & a 340 euro bill! My friend and I were so disappointed but they looked proud of their work that we just left so we could curl our hair ourselves since we were running late. The spa & hotel refused to refund us even though the receptionist with Hotel Martinez agreed she wouldn’t pay for a service that wasn’t done according to what she would’ve wanted. I had requested a gift card to get another massage if they didn’t want to refund me, but they denied that request. Other than that, my masseuse was amazing. I hope she is there when I go back!! Housekeeping was on point. Food was delicious! I even enjoyed quite a few free glasses of wine thanks to a worker at the restaurant who expressed an interest in me. I’d say my massage & spending everyday at the beach club was the best part of my stay. Will be returning.

This is a tue, high end, 5* luxury hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. It’s not at all stuffy. Our welcome was first class, from the moment we arrived until we departed, we encountered an amazing, efficient and super friendly team who made our stay memorable. Our room, with spectacular ocean views, was bright, beautiful and perfectly equipped. We enjoyed a relaxing, excellent quality breakfast in the gardens before spending our days chilling at the beach club, directly across the road. The Martinez is fabulous and fashionable, a real dazzling diamond! We shall be back and highly recommending. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Don’t go if you’re at all nervous of your ability to shower. The shower is not freestanding but in the bath which has very high sides. The staff are really nice except for the chaps who greet you at the door. If you haven’t got a super car to arrive in they are extremely rude and walk in front of you rushing to greet someone with a fast car with a luggage trolley. This happened to me at least 6 times! We have these cars at home but we flew! Don’t know what they expect the guys in the super cars will do - give them a ride? And for goodness sake stop with the truffles! Croq Monsieur drowning in truffle! And lots more dishes. Not very good good for such a prestigious hotel. In fact I would say most dishes are second rate. Won’t be back and would not recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Sooo happy they got rid of the ridiculous "art" they cluttered the lobby with for the past couple of years. That was a mess. The lobby is back to beautiful with that junk (boxes of laundry detergent???) gone. Check in was easier than it's ever been. We got there early and the staff was very accommodating to us with our luggage. Food and drinks were wonderful. Overall it has always been a great experience to stay here and this time did not disappoint.

Cons: Where shall I start, I’ve requested an early check in but I still got my room at 3pm. Waited an hour for my luggage to be sent to my room and finally I went down to pick it up myself after calling 3 times asking them to sent it urgently but they still fail to do it so. The room was nothing special and the smell was a bit weird and I could hear people talking from the room next door. I never had this experience in any of my 5 stars hotel I’ve stayed in. The staffs were super unfriendly never smiled back after I smiled at them and they never greeted you at the front door. Overall it’s probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in ever so never again!

Cons: Our stay at Hotel Martinez was an absolute disaster. At 3 PM our rooms still weren’t ready, and I was forced to pay for an upgrade despite having already paid everything upfront. On top of that, the hotel wrongly charged an additional €12,500, admitted their mistakes, yet refused any form of compensation. Even more shocking, staff phoned my younger daughter — who was sick in bed — and told her that her mother owed €4,000. This was another complete error, leaving her in tears and extremely distressed. No apology was ever given. Guest Relations, particularly Charlotte, showed zero professionalism, sympathy, or accountability. She was the worst hotel employee I have ever encountered, and offered no resolution for their repeated failures. Throughout my stay, I witnessed many other unsatisfied guests facing similar issues, which speaks volumes about how poorly this hotel is run.

I travel to Cannes and Nice regularly, and this is by far the worst 5-star hotel I’ve ever stayed at, nowhere near a so-called luxury hotel. There are many nice hotels in Cannes Bay. For only a few hundred euros more, the Carlton a block down the street is on a completely different level. The front of the hotel is chaotic, like a train station or market. The entrance area was a complete hazard zone, with cars weaving in unpredictably. It created a serious risk for guests trying to get in and out. The lobby is another complete mess. Groups of tours everywhere, long queues for check-in and delays for hours after the check-in time. There was zero communication or updates; they simply told you to wait. The room was disappointing with dated mattress and pillows, poor sound insulation, and constant noise from both the street and the corridor. The concierge wasn't helpful at all. When asked about restaurants or recommendations, they said they would WhatsApp or call later, something that never happened. Staff take no pride in their work, dismissive and arrogant.

Cons: The aisle of the room floors smels like toilet. The odour was terrible and such a hotel should have a nice scent. Also the customer profile was not that our type, they were loud, rude and we could’nt have a nice service even at the beach. All in all the hotel definitely does not worth the price.

Very poor experience. Staff lied about selling our room to another guest so we couldn’t get in to room until after 5:30 and had to cancel our spa appointment at 4 when check in time was 3 and we arrived at hotel at 2:30. Check in guy said he couldn’t get hold of duty manager (turns out he was the guy we saw arguing loudly with another guest at checking!) and said room would be available shortly and he would ring us, he didn’t! We had to return to desk 1 hour later then talk to duty manager who confessed about selling our room to someone else, despite us emailing in advance and saying we would be at the hotel just before 3 and asking if they might be able to give us our room early. Wasted whole afternoon, given how they handled this a big deal when you are only staying for 2 days! Yes they eventually gave us 50% off the first night stay but the web page says they charge 100% for a 4pm check out so they still made more money on this.! They also did not reserve the sun beds we requested for the beach club, despite us emailing before the stay. Rest of service very utilitarian, not terrible but not the level you expect or get else where for the price. Also you should be aware unless you book a sea view room you will overlook the train line. Windows have a large sheet on them as quite frankly you won’t want to look out of them! Overall terrible stay and we will never be returning, we recommend you don’t bother either!

We received early check-in which was very much appreciated and received a bottle of champagne and chocolates as we were celebrating my mom's birthday!😃 Hotel exudes French riviera charm, its vibrant, chic, yet very comfortable for relaxing holiday. Our room was very cosy and quiet overlooking L'Oasis du Martinez and beautiful pool area. Beach is amazing, sunbeds are so comfortable, we spent all day every day there. Gym is great, well equipped, open 24/7. We had lunch at La Plage du Martinez and hotel restaurant Le Sud, food was great in both of them. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. All staff members are so cordial, knowledgeable and sweet, we felt truly pampered throughout our stay. We also must commend concierge service, they made some last minute changes and new reservations so promptly, without hustle, so we could have totally worry-free stay. Hotel has premium location, right on the Croisette, with first class shopping and restaurants just a few minutes away. The location only
Cons: The hotel felt unpersonal. Train station for people in and out so service was terrible. Towels were dirty. Woken up at 2am by room service delivering to wrong room. Handed evian bottles by room service thinking free and they were placed by bedsides unknowing they are chargeable. The tin water bottles none of us could even open! Attitude of waiters.

Breakfast buffet was excellent . Loved the madeleines. The room was very spacious.
Cons: There is very little cupboard space in the bedroom. The cupboard is tiny and the sliding doors crash into the hangers. They feel to be very cheaply made and the cupboard is much too small. There is no shelf or storage in the bathroom and the toilet in the shower is awful. It is always wet.

The hotel is fantastic, with great food and beverage and excellent beach club and great staff. The location of the hotel is the centre of action in Cannes with incredible views and people watcvhing.

Beautiful 5 * hotel at the end of the Cannes Croisette. Beautiful rooms, very good breakfast and good service. The pool was still open in October, it looked nice but I did not use it. It was a perfect hotel for a business trip. The beds were very good, the room was cool and the bathroom was also nice.

Amazing hotel right on the croisette! Best location, best breakfast, best facilities and best service! Exceptional rooms, with the best bathroom a hotel could offer. Everything is tailored to bring ultimate comfort. Every single person working at this hotel pays great attention to their guests, and everyone is so nice. For a hotel of this size, I wouldn't have expected so much sweet attention. The restaurant of the hotel is very tasty, with a large variety of choices. The beach is conveniently located right accross the street from the hotel, and offers an outstanding experience, with comfortable beds, amazing service, and cherry on the cake, which also offers a wide range of water sports and games ( water ski, wakeboard, sofa, dougnuts, etc.) with great people managing these activities. Highly recommend!

Nice and upscale hotel, could serve better coffee for breakfast though. Right across from the Martinez beach club which serves nice food and drinks. Although the beach club is related to the hotel, it is not included in the room rate (sunbeds are $75-100 each, depending on location). During high season, beach club is typically fully booked, recommend booking in advance (before you arrive).
