The location was excellent. Free parking is available on the street (however spaces are not guaranteed). Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was clean and pleasant. Very comfortable bed and clean linen. Staff were all friendly.
Cons: The property is incredibly dated and did not match up to our expectations for a four star hotel. The room looked out onto a wall. There was mould in both the bathroom and bedroom and the furniture and bathroom suite were incredibly dated. The sink for the bath did not flow freely, the shower curtain was tiny and the converter between bath tap and sink did not work properly. The furniture in the bedroom was dated and the carpet was very old and worn and covered in stains. The room and corridor smelt of smoke. The room could do with refurbishment. Simply changing the carpet in the bedroom and corridor would improve it substantially.

Mogę polecić to miejsce. Jest przyjemnie, czysto, miła obsługa. Śniadanie w stylu angielskim(bufet) bardzo smaczne. Mimo, że hotel nie należy już do najnowszych to lokalizacja jak dla mnie była idealna. Blisko wszędzie. Na pewno tam jeszcze wrócimy.

Cons: No tea bags or milk in either room. Loud music until 3am and when you have children with disabilities this was a nightmare. We asked for a room close to each other and instead the other room with my husband and one of our children was on a different floor. Only one small water bottle. No snacks or drinks in the reception area that would have been nice to purchase, only a small alcohol bar. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or be returning.

The hotel is comfortable and conveniently located for a stop-over before crossing the channel. It is very close to the port, there are a lot of restaurants nearby and there is some free parking directly opposite. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice at breakfast which was fresh well presented. It met our needs perfectly.
Cons: The room was compact but adequate. The heater/aircon unit in the room made a loud noise when we switched it on but after some adjustments we managed to stop it.

Pleasant walk to the beach. Used the bar in the evening with friends, great service but not much atmosphere. Hotel is dog friendly, we will certainly use again.

No food in the evening, even though to be fair there are plenty of bars and restaurants a short walk away. Had to ask for coffee and milk as there was none. Not enough plug sockets. This hotel is advertised as a four star not sure it should be.

I wa surprised with the room as it was quite big with 2 double beds not a sofa bed plus coffee table with 2 chairs in the corner. The facilities are good , has a small gym and small restaurant for breakfast. Staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe around the area about 5mins walk. The big plus is near the Eurotunnel, that s why we stayed for the night due to long drive from South of France. Overall a very good stay
Cons: I wish there was bigger free parking area but I can understand it is in the city and I hope there was a pool too but no problem as when we stayed there it was a bit chilly

Cons: De kamer is ietwat gedateerd. Bij binnenkomst in de douche, lagen en veel haren op en in de wc. Wij sliepen in Calais omdat we maandag vroeg de treintunnel wilde pakken. Calais zelf vinden wij niet fijn,maar dit hotel is prima als overnachting plek. Heel erg warm in de kamer, raam kon niet open door de geuren en geluiden van de straat en restaurants. Wij zaten aan de achterkant van het hotel. Personeel is erg vriendelijk!

Great location with plenty of parking and many good restaurants nearby. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, staff were friendly. We have been staying at this hotel for about 20 years - normally on our way back to England so maybe 30+ times - but had not realised there is a quirky little duplex room (115) on the first floor (toilet and bathroom downstairs, bedroom upstairs) which was quite fun!
Cons: The reception areas are very neat and modern but the upstairs corridors are starting to look a bit shabby again - I think the refresh was about 5 years ago. I liked the quirky duplex room but it was a bit dark down stairs and my wife was a bit daunted by the narrow spiral staircase. I love Calais but it can be a bit noisy over the weekends.

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Fährhafens. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in einer oberen Etage mit Blick auf den Fährhafen. Vor dem Hotel gibt es kostenfreie Parkplätze. Manchmal braucht man etwas Glück, direkt vor dem Hotel einen Parkplatz zu bekommen, aber notfalls muss man später nochmal umparken. Nach wenigen Minuten gelangt man vom Hotel in die Innenstadt mit Fußgängerzone. Hier gibt es Restaurants. Aber auch zum Strand und zur Mole ist es nicht weit. Das Zimmer ist schön. Als Zwischenübernachtung auf der Reise nach Großbritannien ist das Hotel sehr gut geeignet.
Cons: Nachts störte ein sehr tiefer Brummton - vielleicht von einem Lüfter. Das muss nicht in allen Zimmern so sein und stört sicher auch nicht jeden. Neben dem Hotel war zu unserer Zeit ein Rummel. Da war natürlich auf der Straße vor dem Hotel viel los. Die Ruhe kehrte erst spät ein. Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts. Es liegt eben zentral.

However we had a room adjacent to the lift (309), and goodness me, there was some machinery that caused a vibration noise throughout the night, spoiling our sleep. The rooms are comfortable, as are the beds. Tea and coffee making facilities. An efficient receptionist . Free street parking opposite. Lovely french restaurant (where locals eat) j 2 minutes walk away. Lovely pattisetrre for coffee and croissant within 30 seconds. We'll most likely use the hotel again, but request a room away from the lift

Calais looks like an interesting town to explore and on future visits I would consider staying an extra night to explore the town. Plenty of close on street parking.

Toilets was a bit of a squeeze with the grab rail being very close for anyone if a larger size to sit in the loo! Can only get my wheelchair down one side of the bed.

Cons: Tout était parfait, mis à part la pression de l’eau des WC et de la douche. Un petit plus serait de mettre à disposition une brosse de toilette afin que chacun puisse nettoyer après usage, car il est un peu gênant que ce soit au personnel d’entretien de le faire après nous.

Cons: La salle-de-bain mériterait une bonne peinture surtout au plafond. La douche est pas très fonctionnel, le rideau trop petit et le pommeau de douche n'est pas utilisable en main libre car du mauvais côté de la douche. La vue sur une jardinière borne n'est pas un problème mais il faut absolument la nettoyer c'est assez peu accueillant. Manque un safe dans la chambre (peut-être nous ne l'avons pas trouvé mais je doute).

Es gibt separate Garagen zum sicheren Parken des Fahrzeuges. Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang sind sehr Freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Alles war sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Zum Strand sind es nur gemütliche 15 min zu Fuss.
Cons: Das Zimmer hat gestunken. Die Ursache waren die nassen Kissen, die wahrscheinlich mit der Zeit angefangen haben, unangenehm zu riechen.

We were in room 402. Easy to get here from the channel tunnel, took 15 minutes. We found a free parking space across the road from the hotel. Check in easy. Room was spotlessly clean. Fabulous view out across the bay watching the ferries coming in. Beds are lovely and comfortable. Shower had good pressure and was warm. Plenty of space, large fridge, TV with plenty of channels. We walked around the back of the hotel and spent the evening in the square where there is loads of choice of food and drink. Great breakfast too. Lovely experience and we will definitely stay here again.

Cons: The a/c was inefficient; we needed to have the windows open which wasn’t ideal as they opened right on the docks and it was obviously very noisy. The sheets smelled damp. There was a half eaten cake left in the fridge. Nowhere to hang a hand towel by the sink.

Central location, perfect for us because we did not have a car. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to easily. I am interested in sustainability and the environment so was delighted to see individual dustbins for segregating waste throughout the hotel. There were bins for compostable items, plastic items etc. 10/10 for that. The staff were very nice and very helpful. The reception desk staff answered all my many questions and patiently allowed me to practice my limited French! The breakfast was nice. The breakfast staff and the cleaning staff were nice. This hotel ticked a lot of boxes for us and I'm happy to recommend it.

Check in was easy. Christopher was really helpful. I had a balcony room over looking the harbour. Room was extremely dated fixtures/fittings/decor wise, only a few plug sockets and no plug sockets near the bed. Room did have a fridge. There was a good choice at breakfast and it was nice, but plates were very small! There is a wide range of restaurants for all budgets within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Even though the room was extremely dated I’d stay here again if in Calais.

We have stayed here on many occasions on our way back home to the UK. Very convenient for both the tunnel and ferries. The staff are always very pleasant and welcoming and I can highly recommend this property. We don’t take breakfast so can’t comment and reason being there are a host of bakeries and cafes nearby. The same applies to dinner and it isn’t accommodated at the hotel understandably as there are so many options nearby. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Zimmer mit Meerblick, alledrdings zwischen dem Hotel und Meer gibt es eine befahrene Strasse. Das Schlafen mit geöffneten Fenstern ist unzumutbar. Mit geschlossenen Fenster und Klima ist es dagegen leise und angenehm. Wir waren in einem 4 Personen Zimmer mit zwei großen Doppelbetten, mit Klimaanlage. Die Betten waren hart und bequem. Das Zimmer, insbesonderes Bad waren sauber. WLAN funktioniert zuverlässig. Auf der Strasse am Hotel befinden sich kostenlose Parkplätze. Es ist möglich einen Platz in einer Hotel-Garage für 12 EUR/Nacht zu mieten. Keine 2 Gehminuten befindet sich ein Platz mit mehreren Restaurants, Bars. Es gibt auch ein Supermarket in der Nähe.
Cons: Zwei Gläser, zwei Handtuchsets für 3 Personen sind zu wenig - wahrscheinlich war das ein Irrtum. Statt eine Decke für zwei Personen, hätten wir gerne eine Decke pro Person. Der Kühlschrank ist vorhanden, hat aber nicht funktioniert. Der Tepichboden war sauber. Das Zimmer bietet nicht genug Platz um 4 geöffnete Koffer zu stellen. Das Personal spricht schlecht englisch. Die Strasse mit den Hotel-Garagen ist nachts dunkel, fürchterregend und schmutzig. Zusammenfassend - das Hotel bietet eine günstige Möglichkeit zu übernachten, die Nachbarschaft - was warmes und leckeres zum Essen, nach der Anreise zu bekommen.

This hotel really surprised me. The reason for this is due to the fact that it really does not look great on the outside, but inside it is much better. To start off we arrived at around 6 or 7pm and were greeted by a friendly staff member. We asked for parking for our vehicle, which was 15 euros (12 excluding city tax). The parking was great, as our car had its own parking behind garage doors, with about a 50 meter walk from the hotel entrance. The room itself was very nice with each person having their own reading lamp with side table, nice pillows, a fridge, a nice TV and a great view of Calais port. I had a great sleep and also enjoyed Calais town. The breakfast in the morning was actually really good. The hot chocolate, scrambled eggs and croissant were all the highlights and they were some of the best I have ever had. Although the cost was around 170 (breakfast included) euros a night is a bit pricy it was actually a really good stay in a great location when travelling to the port.

This hotel is part of the IHG group so one does not expect to be confronted at check in with a message saying 'no hot water' and not likely to be for our 3 day stay because it is a Sunday and Monday is a holiday. One would presume a well run organisation would have dedicated maintenance teams to cover any problems. It appears not so with IHG. needless to say our experience has not left a positive impression of this group so will not be staying again. If you feel that would will stay ring first to see if all is working.

Cons: There was no hot water so I had to have a cold shower, the parking was fully booked so I had to park on the street, the Aircon wasn't great so I opened the windows however the kitchen extract or something must have been close by as the smell of grease was overpowering so I had to close them. Even when closed I could hear music and people shouting from nearby throughout the night.

The toilet didn't flush properly we had to fill the waste paper bin with water and pour it down the loo to flush it effectively. The shower was broken and only produced a pathetic trickle. Cons: Es gab kein warmes Wasser und die Unterkunft ist uns preislich nicht entgegen gekommen, es gab vorab beim check-in keinen Hinweis dazu, wir wurden vorab zum zahlen aufgefordert und haben erst im Aufzug ein Hinweis Schild gelesen, dass kein warmes Wasser existiert. Kalt duschen nach einem Strandtag, das Gesicht waschen nach einem langen Tag, alles nur mit Kaltem Wasser möglich. Im Zimmer war das Klimagerät nicht auszuschalten, das Wandgerät ist in seine Einzelteile zerfallen und man konnte die Stromkabel aus der Wand sehen.

Cons: The outside rear maintenance of the building was not up to my expectation of a holiday inn hotel. The parking facilities were unusual and situated in quite a dirty street, which I do understand is not something that the hotel has any control over.

The location near to the ferry and the town centre was perfect. The car parking in front of the hotel was very handy. The staff friendliness and helpfulness was excellent.
Cons: The whole building is outdated and sober ot later will need a major renovation. What we didn’t like was the noisy street and the restricted and narrow window opening not allowing enough fresh air in the room that was very warm during the night.

This is a great place to stay when coming from the ferry. We were foot passengers and picking up a car at 5:00 on a bank holiday. We had a sea view which looked at the ferries going by and many fishing boats. I would definitely stay here again.

Die Lage ist nah zum Küstenbereich und in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Platz mit Bistros und Restaurants. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben ausgestattet, die Minibar war leider ausgebaut aber das Bett sehr gut. Frühstück war ausreichend vorhanden und das Personal hat sein Bestes gegeben, sehr freundlich
Cons: kein Abendessen möglich und die Frau im Zimmer nebenan hat sehr lautstark bis Mitternacht telefoniert - etwas dünne Wände aber für 1 Nacht kein Problem
