The staff was extremely helpful with advice on how to get to various sites and to the airport. The staff also recommended some good restaurants. We got to the hotel easily with a taxi from the airport. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice as well. The air conditioning worked very well. The room was very clean. The breakfast was very good and was served in a lovely room with a terrace. The lobby was very nice too. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is steps from the Passieg de Gracia which is an elegant shopping and restaurant route. The Metro is also steps away as are the buses. Gaudi's Block of Discord is just a few blocks away as is his very famous apartment building (two sites not to be missed). If I go back to Barcelona, I will stay at the Hotel Granvia!

Cons: Wenn das Hotel auch schon auf Umwelt gedacht ist, nehmt dem Frühstücksbuffet die ToGo Becher weg!!! Nicht das sie ausschließlich für ToGo genutzt werden, bei Nichten, die Papp/Plastikbecher Generation nutzt sie auch direkt beim Frühstück obwohl Gläser und Tassen reichlich vorhanden sind. Als weg mit den ToGo Bechern!

Absolutely loved the architectural style and character of the hotel. Great location, with easy access to public transport including the Aerobus to/from the airport. In the heart of the many tourist attractions so it was a great base. Supermarket next door which was really handy. I only stayed a couple of nights. Would definitely stay there again.

建物自体が美術館のようで、美しい。 私の好きなネロリの香りがいつもしていて癒されました。 部屋は掃除が行き届いていて、朝ご飯も特にパンがおいしかったです。1番助かったのは24時間のコーヒーとお水のサービスで、毎日お世話になりました。 受付の若い男性スタッフはいつも笑顔で親切で感じよく、挨拶するたびに楽しい気持ちになりました。チェックアウトのときの少し年上の男性も時間が深夜だったので、心配してくれ助言してくれました。 また、バルセロナを訪れることがあったら、必ずこのホテルに泊まりたいと思います。

We stayed here with a tour group and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of so much that Barcelona has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet provided a nice array of options. The staff are very friendly. Do yourself a favor and have dinner at Con Gracia!

I stayed at the hotel Grandview for two nights. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very elegant. It’s well situated, but not in an area that’s completely overrun with tourists. It’s a short walk to all of the attractions. The buffet breakfast was wonderful with many meats, cheeses, fruits and juices. It is very well worth the supplemental charge. overall I am completely happy with my experience with the hotel. The staff especially are very helpful and friendly.

This hotel had a great location and beautiful lobby and wonderful breakfast. And the people at the front desk were kind and friendly. We needed a fan and they got it for me immediately.
Cons: The A/C in our room did not work. It was a bit of a nightmare for us. It was very warm and humid in Barcelona during our stay so it was miserable. Our whole trip we had been able to return to a nice cool hotel room...but not here. I suppose I should have asked for another room. I did report the problem but no-one tried to fix anything, we just got a fan which I asked for. It helped but not enough. And this was the most expensive room of our 3 week trip and the least comfortable. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

The location is brilliant. It is conveniently located near La Ramblas, airport bus stop, metro, other bus stop. The room was spacious, staff was very friendly and helpful, special shout out to Joula and Christina. They offer complementarty tea and coffee at all times which is nice. The hotel is cute and looks really good.
Cons: They could have provided body lotion. The room rates are exhorbitant for the facilities. Lastly, our air conditioning was not working properly in the second night.

The breakfast was great-- good variety and economical. I highly recommend pre-booking it for your stay. The hotel was pretty much in the center of Barcelona so it was easy to get everywhere by foot or public transportation. While we are not big shoppers, it is in a great part of town for shopping. I also loved the public spaces of the hotel. It managed to feel historical and modern at the same time.
Cons: Dont expect a lot of extras in your room. We were able to get an iron and ironing board sent up to us very quickly but there were no in-room extras like lotion or shower caps. They did provide a bottle of water on the first day of our 4-day stay but that was it.

We planned an "off - season " trip to Barcelona for our first opportunity to visit this world class city. We often use Rick Steves guides for what to do, how to plan and learn the basic history and culture of a country and this hotel was recommended in the Barcelona guide. The price was very reasonable. We took a night flight from the USA and arrived early in the morning, well in advance of our check - in time. The hotel couldn't be nicer in allowing us to change, get cleaned up and store our bags for checking in hours later. We were already treated like valued guests. The hotel's location is central to so many attractions and walking to the Gaudi houses (Casa Batllo, Casa Mila), one of the greatest shopping streets in the world -- Pg de Gracia, Ramblas, Placa Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter. If you don't mind a longer walk, Sagrada Familia is also doable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast is amazing and frankly too much to start your day so you have to be careful not to overdo it. Rooms are comfortable and clean. There is occasionally a smell that comes out of the bathroom which we later found out it is an issue in Barcelona in general. Not enough to ruin our stay since we did not spend that much time in the room.

受付のルイスさんに大変親切にして頂きました！とても感謝しています。ありがとうございました。実は数軒並びにある(隣りの店では無い)小さいスーパーマーケットで、一本500mlの水を20ユーロでカード決済されました。おかしいと思い、受付にいたルイスさんに、水一本で3400円は高すぎますよね？と相談したところ、高すぎだから言った方が良いとお手紙を書いて下さいました。それを持って再度店に行き、高すぎるから返品します！と手紙を見せて訴えたところ、現金で返金してくれました。レジは体格の良い年配の男性でした。女性１人で大柄の外国人男性に訴えるのは勇気のいることですが、ルイスさんに親切にして頂いたお陰で解決しました。チェックアウトした後も、緊張して喉が渇いたので無料のコーヒーを飲んで行っても良いかと聞いたら、もちろん！うちのお客様ですからね！と心良く了解してくれました。嫌な想いが良い思い出になりました。チェックアウト後も観光の間、荷物を預かってくれるのでとても助かりました。お部屋にはポットと金庫があり便利でした。ウェルカムコーヒーや軽食があり、朝食も色々工夫されていてフレンドリーなホテルでした。

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Granvia, I felt genuinely welcomed—and most importantly, safe. The reception staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. I booked a single room, intending to spend most of my time out exploring. Room 408, accessible by lift, faced the peaceful inner courtyard. It was quiet, with no street noise - ideal after full days of sightseeing. Though the room was compact, it was perfectly suited to my needs. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the split-system air conditioning gave me full control over the climate, ensuring restful sleep every night. The amenities were well-considered: a desk and chair, a stocked minibar with water, soft drinks, wine, beer, and snacks, a wardrobe with ample hangers, plus tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom was clean with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were supplied. Breakfast was a highlight, with a generous buffet featuring a wide selection of juices, hot drinks, cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, hot dishes, bread, and pastries. Just off the dining area is a lovely terrace—an great spot for reading, having a drink or simply soaking up the sun. Hotel Granvia is also ideally located. It's a short, seven-minute walk from both the Aerobus stop and the metro and within easy walking distance of many major attractions. I met up with friends in Barcelona, and over two days, we explored the city entirely on foot—taking in the vibrant streets, culture, and architecture.
Cons: A quick note for fellow travellers: This isn’t exactly a dislike but it is worth mentioning—the bathroom layout includes a long vanity, which results in a relatively narrow entry to the shower. I managed... just, but if you have a broader build, it will feel snug or be a challenge.

I had the most incredible stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, the staff is welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast is divine. I was debating whether or not to get the breakfast and I am so glad that I did. The receptionists spoke perfect English, which was a big help. There was an incredible atmosphere, it was very clean, and the lobby was gorgeous. If I go back to Barcelona, I will absolutely stay here again.

Fabelhaftes Frühstück, tagsüber Wasser und Kaffeespezialitäten kostenfrei, großzügiges Business Center, tolle Dachterrasse mit Sonnenliegen, Tischen im unter freiem Himmel und im Schatten, WCs und Duschen. Wer gediegene, luxuriöse Altbauten mag, findet im Granvia sein Glück.

Hotel Granvia is a beautiful boutique hotel in a great area right down the street from one of the Gaudí houses. It’s within easy walking distance of the old section of Barcelona. Each evening we were greeted with a cocktail at the entrance. The desk staff provided some delicious restaurant options. The only drawback is a tiny elevator that competes for space with the cleaning staff.

The interiors of the hotel are so glam. My room was small-ish but perfect for one for one night. The hotel breakfast was really good. Location-wise very central. Reception staff friendly and helpful, booked me a taxi to the station. No complaints really.

Grand Via Hotel is a beautifully restored building…it is located near all of the downtown venues and upscale shopping. Minutes away from Plaça Catalunya where all tour buses and taxis are located…and the beginning of Los Rhombla Street. We would stay there again.

We stayed here on a Friday night at the end of March after a cruise. We arrived really early around 10 o'clock and left our bags with them in their storage room. They contacted us around 12:30 that our room was ready by email but we were out at lunch at the time. We booked a superior room and it was lovely. You could open the window and it looked out onto the outdoor courtyard. The room was clean and the bathroom was good. Occasionally we would get a sewage smell from the bathroom, but when we would run water it would go away. The hotel is ablsolutely gorgeous it has been very nicely done up, the pictures you see is what you get. We spent some time outside in the outdoor courtyard, we were the only ones out there enjoying it, again very beautiful. The weather was still on the cool side. They have coffee in their dining room all day, but the girl who checked us in never bothered to tell us that or about the afternoon drinks-Sangria. The only reason I knew is because of the reviews I had previously read. There is a grocery store directly next door to the hotel so if you need anything it is right there. We have been to Barcelona before, so this time we made sure to prebuy tickets to go inside the Sagrada Familia. We walked to the church in about 25 minutes. Our tickets were for 4:15 and we arrived at 4 and we were let it. It is a perfect time of day to go, as the light from outside lights up all of the stained glass windows, it is incredible. We asked for a dinner recommendation and it did not pan out as we planned, use google as your source. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in the future.

We stayed here for 4 nights, 3 as part of a tour. This is an excellent hotel. Great location and walkable to many museums, the sea, the Rambla and many great restaurants and shopping. The hotel is very clean. Room was small but comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was terrific. Front desk (Howla sp?) was friendly and super helpful. We had room at the end of the 4 th floor. Very quiet. Would definitely recommend.

The best parts of this hotel are the prime location, which is within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions, and its aesthetics which makes for a stunning and grand central staircase and lovely courtyard. Unfortunately that’s where it ended for us. Our bedroom was tiny. I mean, New York tiny! It was also unbearably hot (and this was in March when the weather was cool). The air conditioning made little to no difference and our window opened out onto an internal atrium, so that provided little respite. It was extremely uncomfortable and meant our sleep was restless. Coupled with the tiny size of the room it did not make for a comfortable stay at all. We had some tea/coffee facilities in our room but these were not replenished during our stay, nor did we have fresh towels. The breakfast was of an average standard, with very few hot options, albeit in a very pleasant setting. I would suggest double checking the room size and position before booking as this wasn’t made clear when we booked via booking.com.

グエル公園、サグラダファミリア以外の観光名所、ショッピング、行きたいレストランもほとんど徒歩で動けるのでとても便利でした。建物も素敵でした。 いつでもフリーでコーヒーや紅茶、お水が頂けるのがとても良いサービスでした。3泊して朝食を一回食べましたが、美味しかったです。 部屋もロビーも食堂も清潔でしたし、バルセロナにまた来れたらこちらに泊まりたいです。

Wunderschönes Hotel. wie hatte die besser Zimmerkategorie (nicht die BESTE) und waren sehr zufrieden! Zimmer sind - für Barcelona - recht groß gewesen, sehr fein eingerichtet und schön. Das Frühstück war erstklassig und auch der Service. Schöne und ruhe Innen-Terrasse im ersten Stock rund um die Uhr benützbar. SUPER Lage, alles Busse und die Metro defakto vor der Haustüre, würde das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

The location is great, central to the event I recently attended. Plus, it was easy to get around the city as taxi were very accessible from outside the hotel. Inside the hotel are stunning and beautiful portraits, well maintained furniture and spacious communal rooms with friendly staff.
Cons: I stayed in room 207, next to the hotel stock room. Which didn't allow me to enjoy my sleep when I fancied a lie-in. Breakfast was great and well stocked and provided healthy options, but I didn't particularly enjoy the sausages very small, and I would have liked the offer to have fried eggs or omelette.

Parece pouco mas ajudou bastante, O quarto era virado para a rua principal e não tivemos problema com barulho. Os atendentes quando chegamos foram muito agradáveis e nos deram um up grade de quarto para que pudessemos ficar próximos do quarto dos nossos filhos.
Cons: Como o quarto tinha banheira, para tormarmos uma ducha tinhamos que entrar nela, o que é normal em hotéis, porém lá a banheira é muito alta, então achei perigoso escorregar. E para ajudar tenho movimento reduzido numa das pernas, então minha dificuldade foi maior. Mas nada que tornou minha estadia ruim. Este é só um comentário que gostaria de fazer. Outro fato que ocorreu que achei totalmente desnecessário, foi ligarem no quarto 15 minutos após as 11:00hs para descermos para fazer o check out. Achei indelicado e isso nunca tinha nos acontecido antes em nenhum hotel que já tivemos. Acho que este comportamento da recepção deveria ser revisto.

The hotel smells good when u walked in. but once you walk into the room. It smells! Very bad smell from the sewer pipe！We have reported to the reception multiple times. They only ask the house keepers to clean. But it doesn’t work at all. They didn’t change the room for us! really disappointed! We have to stay in the smelly room for 2 nights . Also, the air conditioning is not working. We checked in in winter, not sure how to survive during summer!

Didn’t know what to expect as it was a bit pricey (for my budget) but worth it. The room was quite big. The hotel is really nice. It was close to many sites and especially as it was close to Placa de Catalunya which is a hype of activity with music, dancing, food. There was also lots of shops nearby and felt safe walking at night.

The staff were in incredible! Lady was so sweet and kind! I looked forward to seeing her everyday. I miss her, which I know is odd to say, but she helped us so much with recommendations and from small conversations, she’d remember things about me and husband. The room was also very clean! Maid services came in every day and our room would be spotless! The breakfast was good too! I appreciated all the healthy, tasty options like the lentils, fresh fruit and veggies, variety of proteins.
Cons: It was very hot! Our room got so hot at night, we’d wake up every other hour or so. We couldn’t sleep through one night. Thankfully, we were offered a fan, but I couldn’t believe how hot it was! And AC is advertised, but the hotel failed to mention that it’s turned off during certain seasons and that the AC is centralized, which I think is wrong and is why I wouldn’t stay again. It’s one thing to advertise it, but to not be completely honest is not okay. I know it’s probably just business, but I don’t agree with it and will stay somewhere else when I visit again. A great learning experience, and I hope the hotel will work this out. I wish the food at breakfast was served. People and kids were gross and not very polite. One family with 2 kids would allow their children to run up constantly touching stuff and coughing, not washing their hands or covering their mouths. The shower is very odd and dangerous. I’m young, barely 29 years old, and do a lot of cardio workouts involving jumping, but the shower tubs were so deep, I nearly fell each time I got out! And the shower door only covers half the shower, so a lot of water would get on the floor during my showers. I didn’t try to do this, I aimed the shower head toward the floor away from the sinks. The water pressure was not good either. Also, the shower head was not enough water! I wish there were 2 shower heads. And the shower head itself was hard to turn on, pulling down gently as the instructions advised did not work! We had to pull and use muscle strength to get the lever down to release the water. We stayed 4 nights and paid 1200 USD approximately which I don’t think was worth it. The hotel has so much potential too with the great staff.

Reception staff helped us map o it t ca a walking tour, providing info on aerobes and restaurants. The young man in the evenings even came out to help us hail a cab! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

Beautiful historic hotel within walking distance to all of the sights in Barcelona. Great staff and nice touches like a welcome drink and treats for the spacious private courtyard. Twin beds made up as a single large bed was perfect (about the size of a U.S. King). Room was quiet, dark, and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay!

wonderful location, professional and kind staff always at front desk, beautiful building (we esp. enjoyed back terrace and rooms where breakfast is served - nice to have a place to hang out - we played cards). we had a balcony with our room and it was superb. It just felt very welcoming, luxe and comfortable.

Lage sehr praktisch: Paula de la Musica Catalana und Casa Batllo in der Nähe, U-Bahn-Station fast vor der Tür und Supermarkt (Aldi) direkt nebenan. Frühstück in Ordnung, sehr leckerer Orangensaft. Sehr nettes Personal. Vom Empfang organisiertes Taxi zum Abreisetag hat perfekt geklappt.
Cons: Auswahl beim Frühstück hätte noch etwas größer sein können, wie z.B. Obstsalat oder verschiedener Joghurt. Zimmer zum Bad des Nachbarzimmers hin sehr hellhörig.

Afternoon/Night Registration clerk was not familiar with Barcelona, activities in Barcelona or restaurants to recommend. Personality conveyed disinterest in helping guests. Other than that our stay was as delightful as previous visits.

Hotel is beautifully decorated, very clean and well managed. Breakfasts are delicious and have that home feeling of a bed and breakfast. The staff was so friendly! Hotel is in a very central and safe area to all the main attractions. We loved it and we definitely stay here again.

Sehr schönes Hotel, toller Service mittags zum Kaffee, sehr zentral gelegen, Personal sehr freundlich. Außenterrasse sehr schön.
Cons: Der Abfluss im Bad war sehr geruchsintensiv. Das war sehr unangenehm. Der Autoverkehr im Zimmer zur Straße hin war sehr laut.

I loved the feeling I was in a luxury hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was fine. That day, they put on a free afternoon tea, which you could take out onto their lovely terrace, which was so nice. The lady on reception was exceptionally nice.
Cons: The room itself was fairly small, but since most of our time in the hotel was on their terrace, it was fine. Highly recommend.

The wainscoting needs to be cleaned desperately. The hotel is beautiful, overall vibe is beautiful. Staff is great. The air conditioning in the rooms definitely needs work barely slept the entire night because the air wouldn’t work efficiently.

We stayed at Hotel Granvia prior to our cruise leaving from Barcelona for a few nights - and WOW! We were expecting a mediocre style hotel, but were greeted with a grand and opulent as well as extremely clean lodging. The rooms were modern, the hotel stylistic and the staff were incredibly friendly. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so great, we got engaged on this trip so definitely a memory for us always!

Amazing, clean hotel wiht friendly staff. They let us in earlier than the check in time which we really appreciated. Every evening they provided complementary refreshment drinks which was an added bonus. Staff speaks multiple languages, we were very impressed to hear an Ukranian host. They also suggested very nice restaurants in the area and called a taxi when we needed it.

Excellent hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. Very convenient for the major sights and we were able to walk to /from most places. Our Superior rooms were comfortable and really clean, good noise-deadening and black-out curtains. Superb breakfast choices and the afternoon teas/welcome drinks were a bonus. We really appreciated the roof top terrace - it was a lovely place to sit and relax following a day exploring this wonderful city.

空港からのアクセスもよく、２４時間営業のコンビニもすぐそばにあった。朝食はとてもおいしく、日替わりメニューもあった。午後にはコーヒーやおやつが無料で提供され、カンパリオレンジのようなウェルカムドリンクも毎日無料で提供された。チェックアウト後も無料で荷物を預かってくれた。
Cons: 部屋にドライヤーはあったが、スリッパがなかった点。飛行機で提供されたものを持参すればよかったと後悔した。不便なので近くのコンビニで購入した。部屋によっては隣の部屋の音が響くようであった。部屋のハンガーは外れるが、ひっかける部位が外れてしまうので、クローゼット外では使用できなかった。

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Granvia because it is very well situated for attractions and dining options. The hotel is lovely and the breakfast and afternoon tea very good. Very happy with our room and we particularly enjoy relaxing on the roof terrace. Above all the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful.

We have stayed here several times in the past. Love this hotel. Most of the team members are amazing but the young man who takes care of the night reception ( his name is Wladimir) he is rude, unprofessional, patronising and simply the worse possible person to come to for help or any information. He should not be working there and be left unsupervised. He made me feel awful. I did report what happened to the day reception team and hopefully they shared my concerns and disappointment with the management. Wladimir should not be the face of the hotel at all. He should be working behind the scene because he is simply lazy, unpleasant and enjoys being unhelpful and utterly sarcastic. For this reason we shall not return
