An absolutely unforgettable experience and, without a doubt, the best hotel stay I have ever had. I chose the hotel to celebrate my birthday and New Year’s Eve, and everything exceeded my expectations: the room upgrade, early check-in, late check-out, and the incredible attention to detail throughout the stay. The concierge team was outstanding from the very beginning, helping with reservations and planning, making everything seamless. The New Year’s Eve dinner was exceptional, the food, service, atmosphere, and fireworks created a truly magical night. I was also deeply touched by the birthday surprise with a chocolate cake and a handwritten card. Every interaction, from front desk to restaurants, room service and housekeeping, reflected genuine hospitality, warmth and professionalism. A premium experience where every detail truly matters. I will certainly return and highly recommend it.

This is simply the best hotel at Côte d’Azur, the staff is excellent, very professional and you feel immediately welcome. You may attend your meetings in and around Cannes and return with excellent parking service and still have time to relax in the afternoon. We had the opportunity to stay over New Year’s Eve where there are no better location in Cannes and a wonderful evening at riviera restaurant completed our stay.

My family and I had the best, magical, and memorable New Year's Eve celebration. The food at the restaurant Riviera was top-notch and truly refined. The overall service was also very good however we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for the extra-mile service from Nathalie (Reception, arrival & check-out), Maxime (Concierge, departure), Sandrine (Housekeeping service staff, room 618 & 616), Hervé (Restaurant Riviera), and the young man (we didn't get his name) who brought us up to our rooms after check-in.

The well connected concierge was able to organise a real sapin Noël for us just in a last minute before Christmas. Once we arrived, we had a very warm welcome with champagne and a birthday cake. The little birthday touches in the room were truly special. It made my husband 's day unforgettable! The seaview is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is magnificent from dawn to sunset. It brought us so much joy on this special day! I also wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the incredible hospitality at Riviera Restaurant. Everyone greeted us with a BIG smile. Especially Stella and Tressy, who remembered us and served us with passion since breakfast. We had breakfast and lunch at the same restaurant. The highlight for me was the palmier, the best I have ever had. Last but not least, the ice skating ground and Christmas event in the enchanted garden were amazing. We will definitely come to visit Carlton again.

This experience has made me think that there needs to be another word to describe the people who work there, other than "staff". "Staff" sounds outdated and servile. There needs to be another name for the professionals who look after you when you stay at a hotel. Something that captures their stylish intention of 'only the best for you'. From the moment that we walked in, I felt that we were receiving special treatment. They learned our names effortlessly, remembered our preferences and, literally, nothing was too much to ask for. The thing was, there was something else, that I can't put my finger on. And it was a general attitude with all who I interacted with, along along the lines of they were searching for a way to make my experience better, even more than I was, but in a very relaxed, sophisticated way. There are magnificent, historical hotels all over the world and I probably haven't sampled 1% of them, but I'll be back here as soon as I can.

The staff and service is wonderful. Special mention to Marine… who helped us organized a trip to Monaco. Noting our interest in art galleries, she made sure our guide brought us to wonderful art galleries. She was also helpful with giving us suggestions to walk around Cannes and made reservations for us. Also we had a wonderful dinner at Riveria restaurant. Great room, service and wonderful atmosphere around the hotel.

I cannot say enough about our fantastic experience at The Carlton. I've always wanted to stay there, and although we live half the year in Saint Paul de Vence, my daughter and I decided that we would treat ourselves to a night at the Carlton. Honestly, I wish we didn't have to leave. The hotel was spectacular, the bed linens and pillows perfect, the decor bright and airy and the level of service was equal to, if not better than The Ritz in Paris which we stayed at a couple of weeks ago for a sixth of the price!...we had a lovely dinner at The Riviera restaurant with excellent cocktails, and a spectacular buffet breakfast the next morning. But I keep on coming back to the staff who were, from start to finish, incredibly welcoming and professional. A standout experience on all fronts. Thank you

The best hotel in town. Super luxurious and top notch. Clean, comfortable and delightful. We had a wonderful time and felt special by the way we were treated. The only slight negative is the breakfast buffet. We were given one option that was buffet for €59 per person. That’s almost $140 US dollars. I am sure it’s fabulous and worth the money but for some people who just want a croissant and a cup of coffee that’s not acceptable. Also, the front desk lady told us that Netflix doesn’t work in France. She was wrong. We were able to cast Netflix on their TV with no problems.

The hotel is excellent, from the customer service to surroundings, to quality materials all over and in the bedrooms. The only negative thing was that we paid so much money per night and we could not even have a coffee in the hotel; reason being is that they allow public to walk in and take advantage of the amenities, without putting aside some allocated space at the bar and the coffee/main area for customers.

It is one of those addresses where you feel you are entering a piece of European cinema history. The Belle Époque facade, the curve of the building, the energy of the Croisette right in front of you – everything says “this is Cannes”. Our suite overlooked the inner courtyard and pool, which I can really recommend. It is bright, elegant, very well proportioned and filled with soft natural light during the day. You do not always need a sea view to feel special here. The courtyard side gives you calm plus a beautiful view of the pool area. Rooms and sleep quality The room and suite details are exactly what you expect from a Regent flagship: high ceilings, perfectly dressed bed, quiet air conditioning, very generous bathroom with powerful shower and perfectly soft towels. The bed quality is excellent and you wake up rested. One thing that surprised me is how consistent the housekeeping is. Everything was always in place, no random details out of order, no fake “turndown” feeling. It is the small discipline that makes the big difference. Breakfast, restaurants and bars Breakfast is a daily highlight: a rich buffet with fresh pastries, fruits, cheeses, charcuterie and hot dishes, plus à la carte options. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented and constantly refilled. The sea view during breakfast is the cherry on top. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are exactly what you would hope for in a place like this: Riveria style dishes with high quality seafood Elegant but relaxed terrace atmospheres Very well made classic cocktails in the bar Prices are of course on the higher side, but this is not a surprise on the Croisette. Service and atmosphere Service is politely warm, very professional but not stiff. From the doormen to reception to the pool staff, there is a consistent “we are happy you are here” energy. The atmosphere in the lobby and lounge is luxurious but not snobbish. You can sit with a drink, watch the constant movement of Cannes, see film festival photos and feel part of the story without needing to be famous. Location and practical tips Directly on the Croisette, perfect for walks by the sea. Easy access to the beach, the old port and the shopping streets behind the hotel. Taxi and car services are always available in front. Parking and transfers are well organised but expensive, like everywhere in this segment. Small downsides This is not a “hidden gem”, it is an icon. If you want privacy, ask for quieter room locations. Prices for drinks and snacks by the pool are as high as you expect from the Riviera. Price level and who it is for Price level: high luxury. Perfect for: anniversaries, film festival lovers, Riviera fans who want classic glamour with modern comfort. Less ideal for: budget conscious travellers or people looking for a small, anonymous boutique feeling. Carlton Cannes is one of those hotels that still carries a real soul behind the famous facade. I chose The Carlton to celebrate my bday, and it was the perfect choice! Their staff is marvelous, from their bellmen, to their reception, room service, concierge, housekeeping, to their managers, all attentive, caring, friendly. This is one of those places that you never want to leave when on vacation. I highly recommend it, property is beautiful, well maintained, but the jewel of the crown is their staff. I received a nice amenity for my bday, along with a handwritten card from their GM. Our room was lovely, perfect view. Everything was perfect, even the weather changed on my bday, day was sunny and beautiful, like if it was planned just for me! Thank you Carlton staff for making my husband and I feel special! We will share our experience with our friends and family and shall return!

The Carlton was, quite simply, outstanding. What stood out most was that each and every member of staff, from housekeeping to the concierge, was so hospitable, charming and determined to make our stay perfect. Our luxurious room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The toiletries were from Acqa di Parma. Breakfast was excellent ..(as good as @Gleneagles)....the selection was fantastic and the restaurant team were so attentive. It was a lovely time of year to go as Cannes was not too busy and the weather was still very pleasant. I am already looking really forward to my next visit

Stayed 2 nights in this fabulous hotel courtesy of Travelzoo. The staff were magnificent in all ways. The interior of the hotel is fantastic. The room is adequately stocked with personal touches. Ours overlooked the serene garden. The breakfast has a touch of decadence. Difficult to choose from the selection on offer. Freshly made egg dishes such as omelettes are also available. Service is great throughout. Once again everyone in the restaurant is so friendly and helpful and I greatly appreciated Luisito who was engaging and had a calming manner. Our experience in The Carlton was perfect.

I had another absolutely wonderful stay at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes. This wasn’t my first visit, and once again the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel itself is stunning — elegant, immaculate, and truly world-class — but what really makes the Carlton stand out is the staff. They are consistently outstanding: warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. Every interaction feels genuine, and they always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and looked after. It’s rare to find a hotel that maintains such a high standard every single time, but the Carlton manages it effortlessly. I can’t recommend it highly enough and I’m already looking forward to my next stay. A truly five-star experience in every way.

We had a garden view room and could not fault the attention to detail. Staff very attentive and friendly, from the porters to the front desk to the restaurant/bar staff, every member of staff went above and beyond. Breakfast was a wonderful, leisurely experience, so much to choose from. However on our last visit some years ago, champagne was offered ( included in price) and we were disappointed to find that this is no longer on offer. Cost cutting? We did however purchase a glass of champagne on the morning of my 65th birthday !! Looking forward to a return visit in the near future...a very special place

While we were in Cannes, France we had Tea service at the Cannes Carlton hotel. It was in their lobby restaurant and we had a wonderful view of the Mediterranean ocean. The setting was great. They offered multiple choices of different teas from around the world. The service is excellent, our server was Rifat great, he was very attentive, let us know what teas to order, kept us well supplied with delicious pastries. Highly recommend this hotel for afternoon tea while staying at Cannes.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, proper old school 5 star - very grand but modern, our room was white bright and spacious, powerful walk in shower, with great products, with nice touches dyson hair dryer mouthwash and shaving kits, complimentary beers soft drinks and snacks were a nice touch - A bigger wardrobe and a vanity mirror would have helped, but outstanding stay otherwise, we will return for sure. Prior to this, while being an iconic, classic hotel on the Croissette strip, it was a little tired but the new revamped Carlton is really very lovely! The rooms are perfect, the service immaculate right from check in onwards and it now has very special gym facilities. I wouldn't hesitate telling anyone how lovely this hotel is now!

A level of luxury and service beyond expectations. The room was exquisite, very luxuriously furnished with housekeeping services to Match. Front desk manager, Lora, was always available to help, and Chief Concierge Maxim went out of his was to acquire my wife’s favorite tea in Paris and had it delivered to the hotel prior to our departure, just fabulous.

We arrived by train having travelled from the US into Cannes and went searching for the Carlton. Somewhat rested by the train, beginning to be immersed in France; we were excited but also tired. Walking up with our rolling luggage, a short walk later onto the hotel property, we were immediately welcomed. It was one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever seen, in one of the most elegant settings, and by some of the most kind attendants. The next morning we had an elegant breakfast with wonderful pastries, fruits and of course hot food of eggs, bacon sausages and more. Amelie took care of us and was a friend from the first moment. She gave us an introduction to the hotel as well as Provence, checking in on us as the days went by.

This is a legendary, lush hotel! Absolutely magical! The aesthetics are hard to beat, and the beauty on display everywhere just lifts your soul. The room was supremely comfortable, and housekeeping do their best to make sure you have everything you could think of - and then some. The restaurant and the bar also deliver on the promise of excellence, and the beach facilities are probably the best in Cannes.

Excellent service. The hotel is grand and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. Even though my shoes were ruined by housekeeping, the hotel went out of its way to rectify the situation. Every employee is friendly and goes out of their way to provide good service. The one area that was disappointing was the charges for the beach club. Someone paying $1500 per night should not also be charged for using the beach club. My wife ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and was charged 46 euros for a lobster roll. When we asked, we were told that it is special bread. So all told 350 euros for a few hours on the beach with a cheese sandwich and a couple non alcoholic drinks.

The welcoming friendliness of the door men and valets upon our arrival and the reception desk's warmth and interest in accommodating us as we checked in set the tone for our stay. The refurbished room, with a beautiful view of the sea, was stunning. The room was immaculate and well appointed and roomy. The renovated entry and common areas were unique and beautifully designed. Every meal we had at the hotel was great with impeccable service. The delicious desserts in the lobby bar were hard to resist. When we wanted to venture away from the hotel for a day trip or dinner each Concierge were attentive and very helpful with terrific recommedations..The location of the holel is perfect. An afternoon at the hotel's beach club across the street was a real treat. This incredible hotel with its special ambiance and proactive and accommodating staff made for a wonderful visit. We cannot wait to return!

The Gym is Excellent. The Concierge and The Valet Parking Guys were very Helpful once again. Both Riviera and Ruya Restaurants are Wonderful, and The Staff in the Lovely Cocktail Bar are so friendly and made our visits special.. We had amazing lunches, breakfasts and also Dinner... We had Lunch and also Sun loungers for a Day at the Beach Club... Also Wonderful! This is a very comfortable and pleasant establishment and I cannot praise it highly enough!

My first stay at the Carlton and what a lovely experience, considering that my last stay in Cannes was 30 years ago at a Holiday Inn. From the moment of entering the foyer you know you were in the lap of luxury. All the staff are credited to the Hotel Reception breakfast concierge and the room was also spotless. I would just like to mention Delphine on concierge was very helpful to me and Herve plus the Philippine gentleman who used to work on cruises-at breakfast. Sorry I forgotten your name and of course the central location on La Croisette promenade. Thank you all very much for a lovely stay over 11 nights.

The Carlton Cannes hotel has my heart. Every single detail was magnificent. The lobby, restaurants, and rooms were completely beautiful. Clean, elegant, comfortable. The picturesque French Riviera is only a few steps away, with a beach club that makes you feel completely taken care of. The fitness center, and spa were incredible and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was delicious - we never wanted breakfast to end!!! I had the best cocktail of my life at the bar at Club58 - thank you Anthony. But what really sets the hotel apart is their kind, helpful, and really lovely staff. We were always greeted with a smile and a “bonjour madame”. They delivered a wonderful bottle of champagne to our room upon arrival!!! They did an excellent job at checking up on us and providing any assistance we needed. The front desk (Shahab), the concierge who made sure my reservations were all planned perfectly (Lisa & Enzo), the bellmen, the beach club staff (Mikael & Joren), the staff at breakfast (Herve & Tracey). If only I could remember more names, since truly everyone there was so patient, and genuine. I’ve been to beautiful hotels around the world and have never enjoyed a hotel as much as I did on this trip. You will not regret your visit her. A perfect experience. The location is prime, the building is stunning, and the 2023 renovations make the hotel feel brand new. This was my first stay at the Carlton since its refurbishment about two years ago, and it surpassed my expectations in every way. Although it’s a large property, it never felt overwhelming, and even having to cross the road to reach the beach was no inconvenience at all. The service was outstanding—staff members even greeted us by name despite the number of guests they host. Beach service, as well as the facilities by the beach and on the terrace, were excellent, and the food was exceptional. The promenade in front of the Carlton is beautifully maintained, lined with wonderful cafés and restaurants, plus fantastic shopping opportunities. We truly can’t wait to return—this may just be our new favourite hotel in the South of France.

We stayed at Hotel Carltone with high expectations, but unfortunately, we faced major issues with billing and communication that left a very bitter taste. First, we were incorrectly charged €560 for a beach area we had not reserved. Fortunately, a professional and kind lady at the reception personally handled the situation and resolved it on the spot. Her involvement was the only positive part of this experience. However, things got much worse after we checked out — over €22,000 was withdrawn from our card without our authorization. We made more than 20 phone calls to the hotel. No one followed up for three days, and on several calls, we were hung up on or ignored. It was only after strong insistence that the money was finally refunded. Not once did anyone apologize or show real concern. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. I sincerely recommend that management review and replace the staff in charge of payments, as this kind of mistake and response is inexcusable. 🔟 On a positive note, the breakfast staff was outstanding — friendly, efficient, and incredibly professional. They were the only part of the stay that truly felt five-star.

My wife and I were a part of the larger wedding party most of whom stayed at the Carlton as well. At every stage, they took the opportunity to make our stay more welcome. It was the little things by getting ahead of reservations, knowing we wanted to spend some time with the beach club to cleaning the room around our strange schedule and even things like the gym was incredible. I can see why so many tourists stopped to take photos of the hotel. It’s stunning.

My wife and I stayed at The Carlton in Cannes in August 2025. We had visited Cannes before on cruise excursions, but this was our first time staying overnight. With all the stories about the legendary Carlton, we decided it was time to give it a try. The hotel itself is magnificent. The common areas reserved for guests—the newly renovated gardens, the exercise facilities, and the outdoor pool—are beautiful and rich in atmosphere. But what impressed us most was the old-fashioned European service. Staff were neatly groomed, formally dressed, and eager to help with a genuine smile. I honestly thought service like this no longer existed, but at the Carlton it felt alive and well. For us, that was the highlight of our four-night stay. We had requested a larger room on a high floor with a balcony, and the hotel delivered beautifully. Our 7th-floor room had a spacious balcony with two large sofa chairs and a sweeping view of the Mediterranean. That balcony became our favorite spot for breakfast, sunsets, and simply gazing at the sea. It was truly memorable. The guest room itself, however, was underwhelming. While spacious and clean, the décor was plain—just painted walls, a rug, and simple ceramic tiles in the bathroom. Nothing luxurious. It felt ordinary. Worse than that, the air conditioning never worked properly. Even after the engineers confirmed it was “working,” the room stayed warm, and at night it was uncomfortably hot. The biggest disappointment, though, was the crowding. The atmosphere in the lobby was mayhem. Instead of feeling refined, it was overrun with non-guests wandering freely, which made it feel more like a train station than a luxury hotel. Limiting access to guests, residents, and those with dining reservations would go a long way toward making the hotel feel truly refined and special. For a hotel that charges over €3,500 a night, the experience should feel exclusive—not stressed. The beach was also overcrowded, with guests packed into tight rows, lounging far too close together, making it feel like we were being herded like sheep. I didn’t mind paying more than €100 for a lounge chair for the day, but for that price I expected a quiet, spacious, serene atmosphere. Instead, it was one of chaos and tumult. Bottom line: while the Carlton’s guest-only areas are beautiful and the service is five-star, it has the potential to be truly exceptional. The ingredients are there, but what’s missing is refinement—better control of the crowds, a beach that feels special instead of packed, room décor with more style, and air conditioning that actually works. Only then will the Carlton live up to its legendary name—and earn my return.

As a Diamond Elite IHG member and a loyal guest who has been staying at this property for over 10 years, I was truly disappointed with my recent stay from July 12 to 20. 1. Housekeeping was consistently poor—I had to request daily cleaning, which should be a basic service, not a guest responsibility. 2. The concierge team confirmed restaurant bookings that were never actually made. I raised this several times with the concierge manager, but no action was taken. 3. The bed duvet had a noticeable odor—an issue I had already experienced during last year’s stay. 4. Room service staff entered the room even when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, which is completely unacceptable. 5. Despite requesting first-row sunbeds over two months in advance, I was repeatedly placed in the second or third row. 6. Complimentary fruits were removed within a day, which seemed unnecessary and wasteful. 7. I shared all these concerns with the Deputy General Manager, the duty front desk manager, and guest relations—yet no meaningful action was taken. 8. One of my personal items (a pair of shorts) went missing and was later found hidden in the closet. 9. I was not allowed to sit on the terrace area in the evening, being told it was fully booked, even though most of the people occupying the space were not hotel guests. I come here to relax and enjoy my time—not to deal with stress and unresolved service issues. For a hotel of this caliber and pricing, the level of professionalism and attention to regular guests should be far higher. I am not seeking complimentary gifts or upgrades—I simply expect the high standard of service this property is known for. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying here during the busy season.

It is the only hotel we have stayed in that has two Bugatti Veron / Chiron parked outside !!! Check in was professional and very personal. The room was not ready but they made sure we had a window seat in the lounge area. All staff , maids, check out, bar, breakfast and beach club team members were of the highest standard. We found the cost of drinks and food on a par with other top hotels such as Claridges, Sancti Petri Melia, IC Barclay and IC Park Lane. Some say overly expensive but one has a choice to stay elsewhere!!! Breakfast on the terrace was a most memorable experience and recognition of my wifes birthday celebration was of the highest order. There are many people walking in and out of the hotel so the fact that the staff were alert to who was a guest and who was not allowed for seat availability in the lounge and bar areas despite there looking as if there were no free seats. Maybe it is because we are in our early 70s we received consideration in this respect. We do find if we are considerate and polite to folk we receive a professional response which is accompanied with kindness and excellent service. Our observation in the evening was that the hotel is like a madhouse of busyness with folk meeting each other. We chose to avoid this and sit on our 6th floor balcony to admire the view with a glass of wine then to have a walk down the croissett and relax. We would best describe the Carlton Hotel as moving from a very tranquil place early in the day to a meeting mecca in the evenings in equal measures. In summary. Well worth a stay if you want to treat yourself.

Did not start well with a long delay between ordering and receiving the (very good) cocktails, but all went well thereafter. Well-placed table, friendly efficient staff, interesting menu, excellent food from start to finish. The sole was truly memorable. High prices, but hey, it’s July on the Croisette in Cannes! It is not only immaculate and beautiful, painstakingly restored and refurbished to its original grandeur, but the service was sublime. From housekeeping to waitstaff, it was fabulous and also very well located in Cannes and for touring. We enjoyed the Carlton Beach Club very much as well. Our favorite part of the Carlton is Kristine in guest relations. She is absolutely amazing, goes well above and beyond. We cannot wait to see her again. Just finished a wonderful three week stay at the Carlton. The renovation is amazing and the brand new pool and Garden area are really special! The Carlton has really upgraded the food and beverage. You can enjoy a meal, snack or drinks in the garden, beautiful new bar or lobby. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Alessio Tallarico is always around and if you do not see what you would like he will arrange something else for you. He even arranged special seating for our group for the Bastille Day fireworks on the beach since one in our group would have had trouble walking in the sand. If you have not experienced the fireworks on Bastille Day I would highly recommend a trip to Cannes to see them. If you are at the Carlton you will feel like they were set up just for you! Breakfast is also an amazing experience. You sit looking at the Mediterranean on the beautiful terrace drinking champagne and enjoying anything you can think of. Fresh juices, ginger shots, smoked salmon, shrimp, eggs any way you like them and the most beautiful fruit and cheese display. Let Have and his team of Malik, Tressy and Emma take care of you. Had a two week stay at the hotel and were thrilled by the superb environment, the lovely garden bar and the Riviera Café, where the service was simply superb, especially Hervé with his welcoming character. As we had full sunshine all day, our time was mostly spent hanging out on the pier enjoying the lovely weather. There Francois and Sathong made our life real paradise, Their attentive and friendly service was top. From regularly adjusting the umbrella, to bringing us new drinks and serving us snacks, cleaning our sun beds while we were swimming: everything the two did was perfect. Of course this is a magnificent hotel with a storied history. A beautiful location, great staff, good gym/spa, pristine fittings. But it's the Gucci bag of hotels - a bit of a show off place where you pay a real premium for the experience. And don't expect your IHG status to carry much weight here - it feels like this Grand Dame isn't comfortable with acknowledging the IHG connection. My Platinum Elite status gained me one of the smallest rooms at the back of the hotel on the second level looking into the nearby balconies! The discrepancy between the photo of the room on the IHG app and the actual room felt like "bait and switch" which is not what I expect from IHG (and we travel 7-8 months of the year so understand there can be differences to the pix on hotel websites).

3.5 star is right for this place. We arrived via Uber and were waiting for a car in front of us to load their hotel guest. We saw bags and bags of Hermes, LV bags to be loaded in the boot, then the guest get on the car very slllloooowly. Then the driver was missing. It took a good 15min. of wait and what was shocking is no one in the hotel bellboy area felt a sense of urgency as this is a one way lane. So every car behind them gets longer and longer waiting for the rich and famous to be loaded. Upon arriving the reception told us as we are platinum members, they're preparing a "nice" room for us. When we went to our room, it was the smallest room - 23sqm facing an opposite building. The website show picture of a working desk that was missing too. Luckily it is just 1 night here. I guess because we paid Euro 1.4K a night, it shocked our system that this is the smallest room we stayed in our 3 weeks stay in Nice. They've a 24hr gym very spacious but the equipments they use from Italy are not good for Asian size. Eg. the abductor machine is painful for me to use as the length is wrong no matter how I adjust the seat. Spa has tiny room each for steam room and sauna. Breakfast is excellent though I wish they positioned their fruits in a better way. Some way up of eye level, blueberries right to the end in a hidden corner. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Overall this is a place with a lot of pretentious people. Expensive handbags with face/lip/body job, so if you like Four Seasons hotel, you'll love it here.

Each segment of the hotel and its services has truly professional personnel. Starting from the meeting in the airport to the end of holiday. You can ask for anything/everything and it will be implemented in the most near available time. It is not just the hotel, but the style of life!

Home away from home. I am treated as family not a guest. We had a one day stop on a cruise ship. We took the whole family to visit our home away from home which were treated extremely well. We will return July 1 to July 17 to enjoy the weekend Regent hotel as we have for the last 25 years.

One of the most enjoyable trips we have been on. From the minute we arrived we was greeted by the incredible staff early check in was provided and was made to feel extremely welcome. That really set the tone for the week stay, the breakfast was incredible, the beach club was faultless and the staff overall couldn't do enough for you. We certainly didn't make any demands, but never heard a 'no' which is so rare these days. The room had everything we needed and more, we didn't have to call reception once. The hotel in itself lives up to every single ounce of its reputation and we cannot wait to come back. Worth every penny, a complete experience. Thank you!!

Very disappointing afternoon tea experience. Carlton would need to take some tips from somewhere like Glenlo Abbey in Galway or Ashford Castle in Mayo, where there are at least seven teas on offer, accompanied by explanations from the sommelier about the provenance of each tea. Here, there was only one tea sample, and it was a teabag! - The very least you would expect is loose leaf tea, and there was no savoury at all, only sweet treats. Of course, the hotel is gorgeous, the setting is beautiful, but the tea was cold, and there was no care. We were not asked once whether we needed anything. No one came to check if we were okay, if we required a top-up (no extra hot water), or if we were enjoying our meal. Very poor service indeed. After our Afternoon Tea, which costs €49 per person, we decided to join friends in the terrace bar area. We were not welcomed, we had to pull our chairs over to join our friends, we were not asked what we wanted, and we had to flag down a staff member for a drinks menu. We ordered glasses of wine but were not presented with our own nibbles tray - we had to share what our friends had left behind, which had old toothpicks in the tray, etc, it was horrible. We were not at all impressed. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The staff are very young and they do not care. We paid a lot of money, but did not feel taken care of at all. They seemed more interested in the Indian guests than in us. We will not be returning here. We did not mind paying the money, but the lack of care made it not a very nice experience.

Absolutely incredible - would stay here again and again! We were visiting from the US for a few nights while we explored other parts of the coast. This by far is the best hotel in Cannes and maybe the entire French Riviera. Thank you Carlton team for showing us what 5 star really looks like. Impeccably clean and the service is top notch from all members of the staff. It also has the best fitness facility of any hotel I've stayed in - immaculate!

I can’t rate the hotel because they cancelled my reservation the day before arrival and had the cheek to increase the price by 400% It would appear that despite making a reservation on an Amex card, it is not actually a secure reservation after all. The new renovations are amazing and the service is beyond impressive. The staff went above and beyond every step of the way. My wife and I went for our Babymoon and the staff kept my wife’s stay very comfortable- they sent a specialty pillow, made us a custom bib for the arrival of our little one, and checked in on her daily. I also wanted to thank all of the staff for all of their efforts.

Overall the hotel presents well. We stayed here for 5 days while vacationing in the area. We had a couple of issues with room service and front desk. In general when someone’s says they are going to do something or promise a service they should come through. The bartenders in the Bar 58 were not very attentive and even told us that when we ordered 2 appetizers with our 2 cocktails that there might not be enough room there to serve….?? We ordered what they called chicken wings (breaded chicken fingers) and fried shrimp and there was ample room and no issues. The food was disappointing nothing special for $170 US dollars. We did not go back there. Hotel is clean, beautiful and great location. Be aware if you have an ocean view room in the front of the hotel as we did the noise from the beach clubs is very loud into the middle of the night. The room was lovely, excellent bed and sheets! Perfect location, we walked to everything. The beach club seating was stacked practically on top of each other so we skipped that…no value there lol. We would stay here again but a little disappointed in staff when you are a 5 star hotel and paying premium price.

The room was extremely spacious (city view), it had a lovely all white decor, large windows with good curtains to keep the sunshine at bay in the morning. The bathroom had two basins and a large shower which is perfect when traveling with husband :) The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very calming and soothing, an oasis in the hectic Cannes Croisette scene. The flower compositions in shades of lilac are beautiful, the architecture elegant The Carlton Beach Club is fabulous! We had such a perfect time on the pontoon, the best sun bed location with the sound of the waves as company. The other wonderful thing about this beach club is that they had a very low volume live performing trio of musicians (bongo, guitar, etc.) walking nearby the lunch area to craft the perfect soundtrack to a sunny afternoon on the Cote d'Azur. I highlight the low volume level of the music as an excellent feature because other beach clubs think they are in Ibiza and blast blaring disco music on guests who are trying to nap on the beach :) Apparently in Cannes nearly every restaurant and bar raises the music loudness every hour on the hour (I love music but I also like to listen to it and still be able to chat with my friends without needing to scream). The Carlton is an utmostly civilised establishment, and it was a deligthful stay. The concierge was lovely, they booked our day at the beach and restaurants, and were very responsive via email even before our arrival, thank you to Juliette and the whole concierge team! Read the history of the hotel on their website as you will see how well the interior designer incorporated some elements such as clay (if you love tennis you'll love the history of how the clay court came into being).
Cons: Loved everything, except 2 things: 1 - the viennoiserie at breakfast could have been better, I think that the croissant should have been more croustillant and have better layers definition - the pistachio cake was good - the pancake a bit stiff; and 2- the coffee for the cafe au lait was ok, however out of curiosity we asked for a flat white and it was made with a machine (not good) - I would think that for such a perfect hotel perhaps hiring a proper barista would be a plus for all guests' breakfasts. These are really the only unremarkable things about this hotel. Everything else was lovely. As a note for other travellers: don't book during the Cannes Lions because the beach club is closed (the beach is used as a venue for the official parties). The concierge booked us at another beach club and also arranged a chauffeured service to drive us there in the morning and back in the late afternoon, which was a great solution. However the actual Carlton Beach Club is better than all the others so it is worth staying when it is open :)

Property was amazing, room was so modern and spacious, especially compared to other properties in Cannes I was very happy with the room size. Gym and spa facilities were amazing, best products and equipment.
Cons: The only downside to our stay was that nobody informed us that the beach club was closed due to an event, also they were constructing a full set up in the court yard which removed pool access also.. disappointing as we ofcourse want to use the beach and pool when on vacation.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Carlton Cannes sehr genossen. Es ist ein wunderbares Hotel, sehr sauber und modern. Die Nähe zum Strand ist optimal. Besonders der Beach Club hat uns sehr gut gefallen und hat keinen Wunsch offen gelassen. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass es nur sehr wenige Liegen (ca. 20) am Pool gibt, die bei gutem Wetter sehr früh für den ganzen Tag belegt waren. Leider gab es sonst keine freien Sitzmöglichkeiten oder Alternativen im Pool-/Gartenbereich, sodass wir den Pool kaum nutzen konnten.

Carlton is back. It is splendid. They have been wise and kept some of the old staff as well which is a joy when coming back after the renovation. The Riviera restaurant and its staff is now really good again. Kudos to the sommeliers. A jewel!

Good location, nice pool and garden. Staff were really nice and room cleaning was good.
Cons: A LOT of hidden charges. To use the Carlton beach chairs, even as a hotel guest, it’s €140 per person. We had to pay €52 euros for one coffee (as they said it was part of breakfast buffet and they didn’t told us breakfast was nearly €60 per person). They said dry cleaning was free for 3 items but then charged us anyway. It was kind of exhausting trying to always be on the lookout for what additionally they tried to charge. Maybe not everyone checks the bill. The room was very small too and a few things didn’t work; the mini fridge, the shower changed temperature, the sink wouldn’t drain. For £600 a night for a basic room, we felt more like we were part of a big machine that just wanted to get cash from us anywhere they could, rather than giving a client-centred experience. Just be prepared for that because it was a bit surprising for us and we left feeling a bit drained.

Room was great, wellcoming staff was truly exceptional friendly and good.
Cons: Service personnel with breakfast was uptight. We had to wait for capuccino probably 15 minutes. Our omelette was there quicker. Second time of ordering capuccino same story. This was the only dissonant during our total stay.

Beautifully renovated with inner courtyard, garden and pool. Great room with lots of space and side seaview to Le Massif de l'Esterel. Great to have complimentary minibar. Special thanks to helpful and refreshing reception staff Charles-Arthur and Fabio 😊.

This is an absolutely amazing hotel - the newly reopened Carlton is back to its iconic best. The staff and service are outstanding from arrival to departure, the hotel oozes decadence and luxury. There’s a new garden courtyard with an amazing pool. This is a 5 star luxury hotel at its finest. A stay is a must when visiting Cannes!!!

Perfect location in Cannes with stunning views. The room was bright, plushly fitted out with an immaculate bathroom. We didn't eat breakfast so I can't comment on that.
Cons: The room lights came on in the middle of the night - I believe this was related to a planned power outage that they did notify guests of so I can't really blame them for that.

We had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Carlton. The entire staff was so thoughtful and tentative. From Alessio welcoming us to the Riviera restaurant each morning for breakfast and Yanick giving us superb recommendations at Bar 58. We were so sad to leave today - but look forward to returning very soon!!!

The location is perfect. The hotel is very luxurious and clean and staff in general are very friendly. They were very nice to give me an upgrade once the staff knew it was part of my honeymoon trip
Cons: I had an issue with the sound form the wall of the water running in the pipes. lI’m not sure if that’s normal or my neighbor is very noisy. However, I spoke twice to the front desk first time my request was not taken seriously. 2nd time and the maintenance guy came while I was in the facility so my wife requested if he can return in 5 min well he never came back. I had to live with the noise of the sound of the running water during my stay. The breakfast wasn’t not as expected at all. My advise to book with lout breakfast. I’m sorry but the chief knows nothing about making a simple omelet. No to many options specially cold cuts meats. Basically, it is France and it is a fine hotel food was expected to be way better.

We have stayed at The Carlton many times before when it was owned by IHG. This was the first visit since it has been refurbished and re-opened by Regent. The bar was exceptional - very friendly staff and lovely cocktails (pricey, but that's what you expect at a hotel of this calibre in Cannes). Breakfast was up to its usual amazing standard, except we noted that the free champagne was no longer available! Again, the staff were brilliant. The new outdoor pool/garden was nice, but slightly underwhelming. The garden perhaps needs to get more established to be more impressive. Again, very good staff, but choose your sunbed wisely as the high buildings on all sides mean that the sun has gone off most by mid afternoon, however, nice to have a cheaper choice than the beach club (only the first hour was supposed to be free, but I was not charged for staying longer). Nice room - we were upgraded to premium, which was good - and absolutely the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Also, very nice to see some old faces among the staff, lots of them we recognised from years ago.
Cons: The Ruya restaurant was over-priced and the food unexceptional. The beach club claims to provide free water and a push button waiter service for the front rows and pontoon beds, but we saw no evidence of either (and we had front row sun beds for the afternoon twice - perhaps this is not provided after 3pm - if not, why not?). On the whole, worth the money (just) but room for improvement.

The service did not meet our expectation. We felt the whole experince was over priced for the service provided . It was not consistent. For instance, We had to call for our mini bar to be refilled. No one checked on us on the beach to ask if we need anything except for the last day. Some training and adjustment to the service will make it way better !

The location was perfect. The concierge team was amazing.
Cons: First of all, the lady with whom we checked in said that everything in the minibar was free. At checkout it turned out not be the case (and the lady that said so was not available according to the manager). Second, the man that was working at the pool said to us that the pool was closed due to a private event. So we had to leave!! People were swimming at that exact moment and they said that was not true. So after that we called the reception and they confirmed that the pool was not closed. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The hotel after the renovation it’s really amazing !
Cons: When I came to the hotel they give me the smallest room that it’s possible to get (and please don’t tell me it’s what I order because I got the kids side of the family room even normal closet I didn’t have ) and only after in my room in the middle of the night my electricity gone in the room and they had to change for me a room and only after it I get a normal room like it’s should be for hotel that you pay more then 1000 euro per night ! I really will think twice next time if I will suggest someone or come to this hotel because it’s really bad experience to get from the staff of the hotel. You spend so much money on the hotel don’t give people this felling so they will think twice to come to your hotel or not because you really did a good job with the hotel

This hotel was incredible and was our favorite that we stayed at while in the French Riviera. The rooms were extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location couldn’t be beat. Furthermore, the staff was absolutely beyond superb and made everything about our stay even better. From the second we arrived they were welcoming and helpful. Sylvain was particularly incredible helping on a number of different requests. He was professional, easy to communicate with and truly made our trip one that we will always talk about with scheduling dinners, his recommendations, and things to do. He was extremely enjoyable to deal with and can’t speak highly enough about him. On our travels over the years, we have been fortunate enough to stay at some wonderful hotels and the experience from this hotel matched all of them. The location to town was unbeatable and the new renovations were beautiful! We would easily stay here again on our travels back. We can’t rave about the hotel, and experience from Sylvain and other staff members enough.

The refurbishment has really stepped the hotel up. The rooms are really excellent and the public spaces were great too. The beach club is excellent. Breakfast was good though an a la carte could be improved rather than a cooked buffet. Location cannot be improved.
Cons: Staff seemed a little unsure about what services were available when. The beach club access could just be bundled into the price rather than charged separately.
