Le personnel est disponible et très courtois et les bâtiments abritant l'hôtel sont simplement somptueux. Pour les déjeuners d'affaire, cela était très pratique de disposer du restaurant du Café de la Paix, au sein de l'hôtel même. L'emplacement est également exceptionnel.

Cons: Nous avons été très étonnés que, pour un 5 étoiles de ce niveau et compte tenu des prix affichés, la qualité des chambres (pourtant premium) proposées soit très inégale et qu'aucun plateau de bienvenue ni attention n'aient été offerts par l'hôtel à notre arrivée dans la chambre. L'accueil en chambre est assez impersonnel.

Cons: We have been incredibly disappointed by this hotel. We expected a 5 Star Hotel, but what we experienced was more like a 3 Star hotel. There was mould in the shower, a crack next to the spotlight in the shower and the room smelled of dust and generally seemed quite worn. The hotel lobby is so heavily perfumed, that I got a headache every time I entered and left the hotel. It was not a nice place to come back to after a long day. The mattress was hard, which meant that I could not sleep well either. The reception desk was always understaffed, which meant that guests had to wait for every small query. The staff was nice and upgraded my room when I told them that I was not satisfied. However, there was never any apology given and the new room had the same issues as the previous room.

The location alone cannot compensate for the poor room conditions and lack of customer care

Cons: The room smelled unpleasant, was extremely small, and poorly heated. Both the room and especially the bathroom were unacceptably cold, making even a simple shower uncomfortable. The shower itself did not function properly. Despite raising these issues at reception and speaking directly with the manager, I was refused a refund for prepaid nights and forced to stay, with no real effort to resolve the situation.

The Le Grande looks nice, and is in an equally nice location. During our visit, the Le Grande fell short of being a luxury hotel and was not good value for the price. Reception has no cue, so staff take guests according to who is most pushy, instead of who is next. Both when we arrived and departed, although we were ‘next in line’, the staff assisted people who pushed up to the desk - like trying to get a drink at a crowded bar - not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. The room was nice, but the level of service/quality control was weak. No glasses or water in the room, a window curtain in the bath (room 2306) had a gross stain that could have easily been cleaned had the service staff/supervisors done a thorough job on getting the room ready, and an odd piece of plastic had been left on a table - not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. We also shared the same issue as other reviewers: our room was loud. We repeatedly heard loud footsteps above and below us, very early and very late - not what you would expect from a luxury hotel. On the plus side, as noted the hotel looks nice and is in a nice location, the bed was super comfortable, the doormen are very welcoming, and the eggs to order station at breakfast makes a wonderful omelette. However, with all the fabulous hotels in Paris to chose from, we would not chose the Le Grande again.

I first came to this magnificent hotel 13 years ago (2012); must have been in December time then also. It then remained my go to hotel every time when visiting Paris with my partner. This hotel has always remained charming in appearance (i.e. the ground floor) and the food provided by the Café de La Paix has always been of high quality. The staff working in the café have always been polite, helpful and welcoming. "Don't judge a book by its cover" as they say... Many of the staff working at the hotel are very educated and are from all backgrounds of life and they should all be treated with the utmost respect! A special thank you to Steve and Luca (during the breakfast service) with whom I had great conversations during our 4 day stay on this occasion. I do have to say that over the years, there are some things which have changed and have become disappointing... Our room was not serviced properly on two occasions and we did not receive an evening turn down. This may sound rather entitled but when you are paying for a luxury hotel you expect the level of service to be commensurate. The bathroom had cracks in the shower and bath tub. In my opinion the hotel management really needs to start thinking about renovating their rooms/hallways/carpets etc... Another example is that the shower temperature control knob was faulty. There was also a strange white mark on the tiles in the shower. When I asked for an extra bottle of water I was told bluntly " you only get one a day"... Something which shocked me. You will see from my profile that I/we have stayed in many five-star/luxury hotels around the world and not once have we have encountered these sort of remarks. The other thing that was disappointing was that when we had asked for a table at the Café de la Paix for a spot of lunch, we were not prioritised over people queuing from outside and had to wait. This was the first time this has ever happened. My understanding before was that hotel guests would get priority of seating to eat at the Café; and this was honoured previously on many occasions. I would have definitely given a 5 out 5 rating for this hotel before but instead I have given an over-generous 4 out of 5 rating due to the above occurrences. I have seen from the hotel management the usual response of "we take your comments seriously and we will make changes or we hope to provide you a better experience if you give us a chance on your next visit". But to be honest, this hotel and the history it carries, deserves to maintain its standards and issues should be corrected promptly. Having been a long term and loyal customer, the decline in standards are very evident/noticeable and should be addressed with actions not words. Don't get me wrong, this hotel is truly lovely but the managers need to take notice of the little details, which is what sets this establishment apart from the others.

Existiram alguns problemas que rapidamente foram solucionados, sempre com brilhantismo pelos fabulosos funcionários. Gostava de deixar um apreço especial aos funcionários da receção : ELLIOT ( 🇬🇧) e QI ( 🇨🇳) , pois foram 10 estrelas comigo. Recordar-me-ei sempre da sua boa disposição e delicadeza. Nunca entenderé por que los hoteles, con roperos tan chicos, no colocan ganchos o perchas en las paredes y algun trapo para limpiar algún derrame de café. ( no se me ocurre llamar al setvicio pars limpiar una mancha de cafe.) Tuve que usar sillas y sillones para colgar ropa en uso y secar derrames con toallas o papel sanitario.

I loved this hotel. From the moment at check-in to check-out the staff have been amazing. They were very helpful when we needed help getting to Palace of Versailles. We had a nice room on the top floor with a view of the city. The location is in a great spot and there is a lot to do. The only issue is that since it is an older hotel, you could hear your neighbors but that wasn't too bad. All in all, I would stay here again.

This is a beautiful old building located convenient to shopping (Galeries Lafayette/Printemps), but it is tired. Employees are friendly & helpful, but room services are sloppy. Second full day there bottled water not replaced, no laundry bags, dirty glasses removed, but not replaced, coffee pods not replaced. Upholstery on the only chair in the room was stained. I did have a lovely dinner in Cafe de la Pax with a caring waiter, but the breakfast buffet service was not great. Food & selection was good, but service not so much.

Location can’t be beat and the higher price reflects it but with easy access to public transportation, eateries, and shopping we try to stay at this Intercontinental when traveling to Paris. Room is clean and well stocked but depending on the location of the room, can be a bit noisy. Hotel is very large as it’s name - Le Grand - certainly not a quaint boutique hotel. Staff provides excellent service and always ready to assist. Breakfast buffet at Cafe de la Paix is awesome - another reason for going back. Club lounge is very nicely appointed with nice canapés in the evening. Stayed at other 5 star hotels in Paris but overall experience, Intercontinental Le Grand serves our purpose enjoying the walkable city of Paris.

Cons: Dear Booking.com Customer Support Team, I am contacting you regarding an issue with a reservation made through my father’s Booking.com account at Intercontinental Paris Le Grand by IHG for the night of 28 October 2025 – 29 October 2025. During check-in, the hotel requested a deposit. Because the POS terminal could not read the card, I was directed to complete the payment through a payment link. At check-out, I was informed that the difference in the deposit would be refunded within a few days. However, despite following up regularly with both the hotel and my bank, a serious issue occurred: On 10 November 2025, the deposit was refunded to my account, on 12 November 2025, the hotel charged the same amount again, even though I had already checked out and had no additional expenses. When I contacted the hotel, they stated that the payment was refunded on their side and that I should only speak to my bank, despite the fact that they charged my card again on 12 November. My bank confirmed that, since the initial payment was made via payment link, the hotel may still have had card access. At this stage, the hotel refuses responsibility, and the duplicate charge has not been resolved. I kindly request your urgent assistance in: Reviewing the duplicate charge applied by Intercontinental Paris Le Grand. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the behaviour of one of your staff members at the breakfast restaurant. This is the second time that I have experienced the same issue, which makes it even more unacceptable. Although we are outside guests, we pay just like any in-house guest and expect to be treated with the same level of respect and hospitality. However, the lady responsible for welcoming guests at the restaurant was extremely rude and unprofessional. She refused to let us in, claiming that there was no available space, while it was very clear that several tables were empty. Such behaviour does not reflect the standards of a hotel of your reputation. Being treated with disrespect, especially on more than one occasion, is disappointing and unacceptable. I believe it is important that this matter is taken seriously and investigated, as it affects the hotel’s image and the experience of your guests. I kindly request that appropriate action be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again, and that guests—whether staying in the hotel or visiting—are treated courteously and professionally.

The first impression entering the hotel disappoints as you come through a small entrance which doesn’t go with the impression of Grande. The greeting at the entrance is lacking and while the luggage was taken quickly into storage as the room was not ready it turned out the guys were sloppy with the tagging which meant I had to retrieve it myself once the room was ready. This is a huge hotel and with a beautiful lobby but there is the rub: it’s extremely busy and therefore impersonal with a reception which is polite but totally understaffed. So while you pay big dollars for the room you are just one of many. Corresponding with the size of the hotel expect long walks through the hallways to reach your room, depending on the location. Signs for the elevator in the hallway are poorly marked. Rooms streetwise will subject you to traffic noise as the area is very busy with traffic and pedestrians. The premium room we had was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom up to date. While the location is central you find yourself stepping out in a rather too busy area. Café de la Paix Restaurant is solid but does not overwhelm. The menu is not as extensive as it should be and prices are high. The room however is beautiful.

A very lovely hotel - it is central Paris and extremely high foot fall so it is understandable the service was not as personal as Bordeaux Intercontinental, however it was by no means bad service, it was still excellent. There is nothing particularly unpleasant to say and everyone was very lovely. It may have lacked the personal touch as the less beaten track IHG hotels but clean, safe, good service and helpful.

Cons: Schande: een van de drie kamers bleek niet beschikbaar bij aankomst om 15.15 uur. We zouden gebeld worden wanneer dat wel het geval was. Na 2 uur wachten steeds niets gehoord. Opnieuw naar de balie en een half uur moeten wachten toen om 17.30 uur de derde kamer op een heel andere etage beschikbaar was. Allen “een sorry” en verder geen enkele actie om het leed te verzachten. Bij het afwerken bij checkout werd ook veel teveel belasting berekend. Voor 6 personen en niet voor 3 personen. “Sorry foutje” en werd toe gecorrigeerd. Een doolhof van gangen en kamers die de nodige tijd kost om bij de uitgang te komen. Nogal gedateerde kamers met ouderwetse badkamers en matige douche kranen met een dun straaltje. 20 min wachten in de rij bij het ontbijt (ruim een uur voor de eindtijd) omdat er te weinig tafels beschikbaar zijn. We hebben in Parijs veel betere hotels voor veel lagere prijzen mogen bezoeken. Deze nooit meer!

I’ve been to Paris before but this was the first time for my partner. So he decided to splash out and get a really special hotel. And this hotel is definitely that! Absolute luxury. Excellent cleanliness. Massive comfortable bed. All the amenities you would want. The club lounge has superb snacks and champagne on offer. The staff at reception, concierge, club lounge, cleaners, room service were all wonderful and helpful. The staff in the bar and restaurant left a little bit more to be desired with the lower level of customer service. The hotel is also situated in a convenient location for walking or taxi to tourist sites. We would definitely stay at this hotel for a special occasion again. We did have one unfortunate episode one day in the club lounge. Burak was at the desk and asked for our room number which was the first time anyone had asked us this. He then made a rude comment about how we were dressed nicer than the previous time we had been in and he didn’t recognise us. We took offence to this comment. All other club lounge staff were lovely and helpful. Leah at the concierge was also very set helpful and friendly to help us find a local restaurant. From the minute you arrive on the driveway guests are taken on a journey or quality of excellence and it is an absolute privilege to be able to stay here. We always choose to stay at The Grand when visiting Paris. The property is beautiful - elegant and refined. As IHG ambassadors we are always looked after by the team there. Staff are kind, knowledgeable and professional. The hotel breakfast is fantastic with beautiful produce and the cocktail bar is excellent. The whole experience speaks to a quiet and comfortable luxury. I could not imagine staying at any other property in Paris. Thank you to everyone that makes this beautiful hotel run so smoothly!

My experience at the InterContinental Paris – Le Grand was truly exceptional. The hotel's location couldn't be better—right across from the Opéra Garnier and within walking distance to Galeries Lafayette, the Louvre, and Place Vendôme. The staff were consistently professional, welcoming, and multilingual, which made the check-in and concierge services smooth and pleasant.

Cons: While the stay was nearly flawless, I believe there is still some room for enhancement: Wi-Fi could be slightly faster adding more vegetarian and Middle Eastern options

We found the location ideal for getting around Paris. The restaurant served a delicious buffet breakfast and the restaurant dinner menu is excellent and delicious.

Cons: We were disappointed with our room temperature. It had an upper limit of 24 degrees centrigrade but the room was chilly. The bathroom was small and the shower was way too narrow and the floor was slippery when wet and there were no grip bars. There is a step to enter and exit the shower and when the shower floor is wet it made a very dangerous situation as there are no grip bars to help balance one self.

When I arrived by taxi, not a single staff member greeted me. I was left standing at the bottom of the stairs, completely ignored. At reception, despite being an Ambassador member, the staff gave me no explanation about upgrades, welcome points, or drinks. Only after I asked again later, the receptionist admitted, “Sorry, you’re right, I made a mistake.” During my entire stay, whether at breakfast or in the executive lounge, I always had to greet the staff first. Not once did they initiate a greeting. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but it became very clear: they were openly discriminating against East Asian guests. In other hotels, I had felt welcomed and thought France had become more inclusive. But this hotel proved me completely wrong. This experience ruined my impression of France. NorthEast Asian travelers, avoid this hotel—you will only leave disappointed.

Had a Fantastic stay. The hotel is an ultimate classic with rich history. Located next to the opera house everything was within walking distance to shopping. The room was spacious and had a view of the street and wonderful architecture of the area and period. The bar, La Verriere in the atrium, was incredible with craft cocktails and a great place to people watch. We had breakfast each day in Cafe De La Paix. The buffet was enormous, and all pastries and fruits were very fresh. The egg station was exquisite.. We also enjoyed 2 dinners in Cafe De La Paix and found the menu and selections to be exceptional with service that was very attentive. Can't wait to stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

Das Hotel liegt zentral, zu Fuß kann man einige Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen. Der Ausblick auf die Oper ist sehr schön. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Das Ambiente des Hotels ist sehr schön und erinnert an die gute alte Zeit. Das Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam.

This hotel has been my go-to in Paris for years, and every time I come back it feels like home. I bounce between the Intercontinental, Park Hyatt, and Ritz, but somehow Le Grand always stands out for me. There’s something about the green palatial interior and the kinetic energy from the streets of the nearby Opera flowing in that makes it feel alive in a way other hotels don’t. Staff 8/10 The 2 staff standouts this stay: - Vadim from the Club Lounge– who remembered me from years back, which meant a lot. - Maria at Café de la Paix – consistently kind and attentive. Felt like a warm mother and just made the overall experience personable and enjoyable. *At checkout, I also had an unpleasant moment with housekeeping who kept trying to enter and push me out despite my confirmed late checkout — I was just waiting on the bellman to collect my luggage. That interaction felt very rude and unnecessary. Location 10/10 The location is definitely unbeatable — right in the heart of Paris, more central than any of the other luxury properties. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the service is consistently strong, especially turn down service, which keeps me coming back. My Diamond Ambassador status is always recognized ~ Maintenance 7/10 There were a couple of hiccups this time. I did have some ongoing maintenance issues with my shower and toilet that never really got resolved during the stay. Overall 8/10 This hotel is special. The mix of grandeur, charm, and its truly French palatial style — with those contrasting decorative details and staircases — is what keeps me loyal. It’s not just another luxury hotel, it always feels like home in Paris. Improvements ~ - I would consider IHG adding butler service for elite members who don't have access to the suites (the hotel was completely sold out). - Upgrades on bathroom maintenance - CS training on housekeeping - Allow IHG members downstairs breakfast again, without the extra charge.

Beautiful exterior and interior, but a little outdated. The bathrooms especially the shower/tub is a slip hazard. Room smelt like smoke even though it was non smoking. Asked to get the room cleaned and they came in at 5pm while I was in the bathroom - didn’t knock just opened the door and yelled “service”. It would have been nice for them to clean the room earlier in the day. The taxis out the front will scam you! I got scammed twice. Area is nice with lots of shopping.

: There was alot of good here. Beautiful hotel with lovely lobby sitting area. Food was expensive and i thought limited choices but seemed well received. Nice breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and good location. Room was small for over 600E, but the view of the opera house was great. The bathroom was odd. No place for the pump shampoo, soap , and conditioner supplied but the floor which increased fall risk. This made the already slippery floor ( elevated) more dangerous ( no safety bar). They kept moving back to the bathtub. Shower is elevated and dangerous in my opinion given to safety bar. The concierge gave us incorrect info on restaurant availability ( le recamier which was open and great). We asked for wake up call and did not get one. . No clock.

On top of that, the room was not clean and extremely noisy: we could hear neighbors fighting and even the subway running underneath. For the price and prestige of this hotel, the experience was far below expectations. Strongly do not recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Sheer, unadulterated luxury! Came as a special anniversary treat and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel dates back to 1862 and history is fabulous. The ballroom is jawdroppingly awesome! The decor throughout is just beyond wow!!! We paid extra for the lounge food and drinks and the staff were so attentive. The only criticism would be that the food items are repeat, repeat and repeat. After 3 days this was very disappointing. Also, the small, selection was just that…small!!!! It was not restocked very often and many other items were left half empty. This was the gripe of other guests that I spoke to, sadly. Other than this, the hotel was lovely and we had a magnificent stay. Perfect location, too.

The Intercontinental Paris, Le Grand Hotel is a wonderful hotel, with a long and fascinating history. I have been coming to his hotel for well over 30 years and really feel it keeps going from strength to strength. On this occasion we booked a stay to celebrate a very special birthday of mine. We were fortunate enough to be allocated a beautiful suite on the fourth floor with a view to Place d’Opera. As usual we checked in at the Club Lounge and were warmly welcomed by the team before being escorted to our magnificent suite, named after the Actress Sarah Bernhardt. I was greeted by a wonderful array of amenities to celebrate my special birthday - champagne, a birthday cake, ballon’s, macarons and so much more! We had a delicious meal with lovely service at the Cafe de la Paix - an historic monument founded in 1862! We had amazing service throughout our stay and whilst there are too many people to name personally, I must mention the wonderful Gilles and all the Team at the Club Lounge - a wonderful space to relax and enjoy delicious food and drink. We were truly spoiled by Catherine and Maxime from the Front of House Team, who are excellent ambassadors for the hotel and of course Denis at Cafe de la Paix. A special mention goes to Christophe and Emilie for arranging everything so beautifully. Le Grand Hotel is an exceptionally well managed hotel under the direction of Monsieur Laure, who in my opinion is one of the great hoteliers and a charming and genuinely kind man. We had a fabulous stay and cannot thank the hotel enough. Please do check out the amazing suites at the hotel, that in my opinion rival the very finest in Paris. If you can book a stay with Club Lounge access - you won’t be disappointed!

Не то чтобы мешало, но непонимание что за постоянный глухой грохот - немного напрягал.

As an introduction I will say that over the past 25 years we have stayed here many many times. We have stayed in small rooms, large rooms, junior suites, the bridal suite. We have stayed as a couple and with family in multiple rooms. Apart from the great property, great location, and welcoming disposition of the staff our visit this time was one of many memorable visits. But then came checkout and I had a serious accident in the lobby going towards the taxi. Throughout this unfortunate accèdent the staff and medical team and the overall consideration of the hotel have been wonderful. And might I say without exception very professional. In the moment of the event the response was immediate and there seemed clear communication both with me and between them about steps to be taken. Clearly you foster an atmosphere of appropriate training and service so often missing in other hotels. My wife Robin was/is distraught but the hotel allowed us to return to familiar surroundings after being treated at the hospital. This was very generous and appreciated. Please convey our thanks to everyone involved. And to those who helped after our return. If you’re going to have a favourite hotel in a world where we’ve travelled to 90 countries, let it be here.

There’s no denying the grandeur and history of the InterContinental Le Grand — with its sweeping views of the Opéra Garnier and that iconic Belle Époque charm. But sadly, time seems to be catching up with this legendary hotel. The lobby still impresses with its elegance, and Café de la Paix remains a classic for people-watching and pastries. However, once you head upstairs, the age begins to show. Rooms, while spacious for Paris standards, feel dated — from the worn carpets to the tired furnishings. The opulence is there, but it’s starting to feel more nostalgic than luxurious. Service remains professional and the location is unbeatable, but for the price, it’s hard not to expect a fresher, more modern experience. A thoughtful renovation could restore this historic gem to its former glory.

Hotel seemed slightly understaffed. We could not use various exit and entrances during our stay which caused extra walking for a disabled member of our party. This was made worse when some foreign dignitaries with heavy security checked in to the hotel.
