The pool area had been redone and is beautiful.
Cons: The maintenance works are going on everywhere. We were put in a room with hammer drills going on while we were trying to sleep and then moved to another room only to be woken by someone vacuuming in the corridor at midnight. This was further complimented by works happening on villas near the pool that ruined the serenity and meant next to no one was sitting there.

I like that the hotel is near and in the center of the locations that we want to visit. Everything is accessible. The proximity to popular attractions, restaurants, and public transportation makes it so convenient for exploring the area. Plus, it’s great to have shops and amenities within walking distance.
Cons: I'm kind of disappointed with their breakfast. It's not that it isn't good, but the selections are limited and almost the same throughout our five days of stay.

My always feel at home hotel in luxurious city living of Bangkok Stunning property in the heart of Bangkok city, very great accommodation, cleanliness is a key. The people there nailed the service very friendly and helpful with smile 😊 Would say I love the FB outlets as so many choices and of course top restaurants is inside the hotel. Distance to everywhere very easy just few steps to the sky train plus the area near all the biggest shopping center. ✅ breakfast line was amazing I think this is Top of Anantara standard Thanks to Remi and Khun Kae for her hospitality! ✅ my warm welcome from Mr. Torsten and Khun Narisa Definitely be back for my next Bangkok trip 🥰

Anantara is a real oasis - full of lush greenery, koi ponds and a beautiful large pool area. Plus a great breakfast and excellent service. Our unrenovated Deluxe Heritage Room was perhaps looking a little dated design wise Vs newer rooms but still very comfortable, and the hotel overall is a beautiful place to stay. Location is convenient for BTS and can walk to malls, hotels and lumphini park but no real standalone shopping or restaurant streets nearby. However, most big hotels are in similar locations in Bangkok. Only gripe is that while airport pickup is convenient for a speedy exit, it is wildly overpriced - THB2800 vs 500 for taxi. Perhaps hotel could consider a more reasonable option. Service was great - concierge Jam and George on the door team were both very helpful. Overall a great stay - recommended.

During the year-end festive season of 2025, our family chose to celebrate at Anantara Siam. It began with our daughter joining the gingerbread house decorating activity at MOCHA & MUFFINS, which she absolutely loved (this was already her 2nd time participating). Then, on December 24, we joined the Christmas Eve Dinner, where the Lobby was transformed into an impressive buffet line featuring a wide variety of dishes. Each menu came from different outlets within the hotel, and every dish was delicious, made with very high-quality ingredients. The overall vibe of the event and the performances were far from boring. The most outstanding part, which deserves special praise, was the dessert section. Chef Aey personally took care of the station throughout the evening—kindly recommending desserts and serving them himself. The station was beautifully presented, the desserts were exceptional, and we were truly impressed by the Chef. I would highly recommend the buffet here, as it will surely bring happiness to you and your loved ones. As for our stay, all the staff took excellent care of us—absolutely flawless service. We learned that many rooms have already been renovated, although the room we stayed in may not have been renovated yet. Nevertheless, it was still in very good condition and fully equipped, as expected of a five-star hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor, conveniently close to the Kids’ Club and within easy walking distance to the swimming pool. We also enjoyed walking down the stairs to the lobby instead of using the elevator, simply to admire the beautiful mural paintings by Tan Kudt. During our stay, we had Japanese dinner at Shintaro, where the ambiance and service were excellent, and the food and ingredient quality were outstanding. (In fact, from my experience, you can dine at any outlet here and be satisfied—it really depends on what type of cuisine you are in the mood for that day.) For breakfast, there was a wide variety at the buffet line, including Thai dishes. On that day, Tom kha gai and clear pork rib soup were served—both were extremely delicious. After check-out, we enjoyed A White Christmas Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge, which was beautifully presented and delicious. Once again, Chef Aey personally served us and explained the ingredients in detail. All of this made our time at Anantara Siam during this year-end season truly one of our family’s Unforgettable Journeys. P.S. During breakfast, I had a minor accident and cut my finger on a sharp object. The staff at that area were extremely attentive and took excellent care of me. Within a very short time, a nurse arrived and properly dressed the wound. As a result, I had a White bandage on my finger, which amusingly matched Anantara Siam’s festive theme for this year, “Legacy in White.”

We stayed 3 nights arriving late by hotel car from overseas to be greeted at check-in by an incompetent staff member Unable to upgrade our room (I paid upfront 3 months ago and you knew I was arriving at midnight) due to occupancy and we are titanium level discovery member, stayed in a river front suite at their Anantara riverside last year, which was great It was too late to ask to went to our room, not escorted(not sure what else you have to do at midnight) No notice is advised of the ongoing renovation, and only unrenovated rooms available This was a bit disappointing On the second day we asked the manager in the lounge if we could change rooms at all and were happy to pay additional costs which they accommodated. The restaurants and bars, were refurbished a few years ago and generally have live music which is nice but nothing memorable. The pool was recently opened and was great to relax and tastefully done, note no sun in winter until 11:30 I have stayed in many hotels surrounding this place for 2 decades and after visiting riverside last year I thought it would be a great option. I cannot recommend this hotel, as nothing is delivering what it should as a 5 star.

Exellent custThe staff at this hotel provide truly world-class service; every team member I encountered was professional, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. However, the property is currently undergoing much-needed renovations that are creating a significant inconvenience for guests. The persistent, strong odor of fresh paint throughout the hallways and rooms is overwhelming and disruptive. While the upgrades are necessary, it would be far better for the hotel to temporarily close for a full refurbishment rather than compromising the guest experience with these fumes. It is a shame to see such excellent service overshadowed by an uncomfortable environmentomer service overall

I was very impressed with my stay at Anantara Siam Bangkok. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm and attentive welcome from the Front Office team, especially Khun Bell. All staff were polite, professional, and provided excellent care, making me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay. Even during check-out, Khun Nueng from the Front Office took very good care of me. I would also like to thank Khun Bow from the Reservations team for the very quick and efficient assistance. Every detail of the service reflected an excellent standard of hospitality.

Cons: There is an atrium with a bar and loud music which could be heard in our room quite loudly so I complained as we needed to go to bed early as we had an international flight so the 3rd and 4th nights the noise was minimal. On the last day we left our bags with the concierge as we had a late flight - when we came to pick up our bags hoping to freshen up a bit before heading to the airport, we were greeted by 2 thugs (not Thai) who would not let us in - we were informed that the hotel was closed for a private party not by the hotel staff - we were not warned of this earlier when we left our bags and frankly we felt like we were treated like criminals - the whole experience was really uncomfortable - I don’t plan to stay here again. The Riverside Anantara was a lovely experience but not the Siam site. The staff should have been crystal clear that the hotel would be closed we would have taken our bags and gone elsewhere to freshen up before our 24 hour journey home.

We had an exceptional experience at the Anantara Siam. Walking through the doors, our guests commented on how it always smells of flowers. Coupled with the gorgeous painting on the ceilings and main staircase, it shows the elegance of the property in a lasting first impression. The guest rooms are perfect, the staff is friendly and polite, the food was delicious and well presented with halal and vegetarian labeling. Naret Purswani (Tony), Senior Catering & Events Manger, took special care of us by being very flexible with our requests, always remaining professional, and going the extra mile to make sure our event was everything we wanted it to be. He was very patient with our amendments (even last minute ones!). He recommended an exceptional events coordinator that really took our event to the next level. Everything was flawless. We had our welcome reception on the new pool terrace. Everything was presented at a very high level. Our guests were very impressed with the food, drinks, staff, and ambiance. We were delighted with the event the hotel team put together. It really was magical. We are recommending the Anantara Siam to anyone doing an event in Bangkok. I really appreciated how stress-free they made me feel with how well everything was executed.

Its location in the city is excellent, and the beautifully designed spaces, refined décor, and stunning pool instantly transport you into another world. The staff are exceptionally kind and genuinely attentive. The rooms are perfectly comfortable, with outstanding bedding, and the overall care given to the accommodation is impeccable. Each morning, breakfast was a real pleasure: one dining room with Thai-inspired accents and another offering a continental breakfast — both absolutely delightful. Climb fire escape stairs to get to lifts, walk through paint, dust and smells avoiding the tradesmen. Check that you get an upgrade if you have points. Every department truly understood the assignment—and then delivered more than what we bargained for. K. Golf, our wedding go to person, took care of us from start to finish. She was attentive, proactive, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She delivered more than promised and made the entire process feel effortless. The head chef was exceptional. Not only was the food incredible—our guests couldn’t stop complimenting every single dish—but he was also extremely kind and accommodating. Vegan, vegetarian, food allergies, special requests—he handled every request with care and made sure every guest had something they loved. The flower & décor team, ทีมน้องน็อค, was amazing. They understood our vision instantly and executed it even better than we imagined. Their attention to detail was remarkable, and they delivered far more than what was agreed. The setup was stunning in every way. Overall, the team at Anantara Siam was professional, caring, and detail-oriented. Beautiful flowers, flawless service, incredible food, and a team that genuinely goes above and beyond. We honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They made our wedding truly unforgettable.

I have been frequenting the property over the past 20 years and always admired the distinctive flower decor in the lobby - copied from the past history of the Peninsula Hotel. On this occasion we were shocked at the monstruous flower displays. Totally overwhelming and threatening in size. The huge construction reaching towards the ceiling is what one confronts when entering the hotel. Worst of all it completely hides the wonderful, artistic wall painting above the staircase - meant to be see when entering. The smell of this avalanche of flowers was so strong that enjoying a light meal in the lobby was out of question.

This is our third holiday to Thailand, and each time we are in Bangkok we stay at the brilliant Anantara Siam. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Concierge team members Eak and Bouy helped us organise our transfers, tours and restaurant reservations prior to and during our visit. Pare and Bam were very helpful as well. We particularly enjoyed our dinners at Biscotti, including the Chef’s Table for my husband's birthday. This was thanks to Chef Guiseppe, manager Snooky, sommelier Kai, Whan and Mameaw in particular. We wanted to highlight the hospitality of Lyn, Kate, Bam, Pamela, Mind and Mo in the lounge. They seemed to anticipate our preferences before we even asked! We enjoyed our visit to the spa, thanks to the team of Tien, Ae, Bogust and Eye. We received helpful tips for our skin care routine!

Cooked Foie Gras and Lobster last year served cold. This time. Same. Only 1 sauce for lobster, kingcrab, etc. Kingcrab smalest ever. Obviously to disencourage to take too much. Hotel is exotic and beautiful, however, they did not disclose that it was under construction. The pool was drained, and our floor had areas blocked off. It smelled like black mold. Our room was beautiful and clean. The hotel staff was phenomenal. The customer service was excellent. The breakfast food was the best I’ve had in my life. The only reason for four out of five rating was the construction and drained the pool that was not disclosed everything else was perfect.

I had a quick one-night stay here as I was drawn to the convenient location. I arrived early, around 11 a.m., and was warmly assisted by Khun Koong with an early check-in, a much appreciated gesture. Unfortunately, both the Kasara Lounge and the swimming pool were closed for refurbishment during my visit, which meant I couldn’t fully enjoy the hotel’s facilities this time. My room on the fifth floor was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival. However, I was surprised to find a birthday cake addressed to someone else — a small but odd mix-up — and the room had virtually no view, facing directly toward another wall. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the outdoor seating surrounded by lush greenery, which made for a calm and pleasant start to the day. I was offered a THB 1,000 hotel credit, though the number of restrictions on where it could be used made it difficult to redeem during my short stay. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, I still had a comfortable experience. I’ve already booked another stay for February next year and look forward to enjoying the full range of facilities once refurbishments are complete.

Cons: During my stay, I encountered two issues which I reported: Morning disturbance: I was unable to get sufficient sleep in the morning due to maintenance work in the garden and pool area. The noise from the machines and staff conversations could be heard clearly from the rooms. Night disturbance: At night, it was difficult to sleep due to the high volume of music coming from the restaurant located near the open side of the rooms.

We always stay in this hotel when spending a few days in Bangkok. It is absolutely beautiful inside, with a huge mural as you walk in. The price is an absolute bargain for such a large room (even at entry level). Location perfect for transport and shopping. Breakfast outside by the ponds is a particular highlight. Strongly recommend as a Bangkok base. Look forward to returning!

I was impressed right from check-in, as Khun Mind gave a warm welcome and provided clear information. At Spice Market Thai restaurant , the staff were attentive and made every guest feel well taken care of. Breakfast had a great variety, and I really appreciated that both the staff and manager personally checked with each table to make sure everyone was happy. Check-out was quick and smooth, with the staff member being professional, friendly, and always smiling (Compliments to Khun Nueng - who checked out of us) Overall, my stay here was truly excellent – highly recommended

And lastly during checkout when I wanted to pay using my GHA credits, ur staff insists I can because I book through a third party. I already explain to her I wasn’t aware as I use my company portal to book my hotel. She said cannot accommodate to my request. What’s the point of being platinum status if this is how you treat ur platinum customers

Amazing in every way from pre-arrival to our check out. We booked a suite and everything was perfectly arranged as communicated prior to our arrival. The room was fabulous and the decorations reflect the local heritage nicely. There was no view from outside (facing the BTS railway due to the low rise design of the hotel) but we enjoyed so much the interior design of the room. The club butler team was so accomodating and friendly while the service from the housekeeping attendants was the highlight. They took care of our room so well and paid so much attention to the details. And I love communicating with the butler team via the WhatsApp app made our 4 nights stays so much easier. Have to mention the frontline team too, who stationed at the main doors greeting guests. They made us so welcomed with their warm smiles every time we came back to the hotel. It would be above and beyond if the gym equipment could be refreshed and upgraded to upkeep with the trend. Thanks for the teams and we will definitely be back again.

Staff are very kind and well trained. We have a history of using this hotel in its various different names over the last 25 years, it has been consistently our choice. The position right next to BTS is so convenient and you can walk to the Erawan Shrine easily. It’s central and quiet. We were worried about the renovation work (but pleased that investment in property is happening) it seems indeed that it’s planned to provide minimum disruption. The breakfast buffet is really outstanding. We enjoyed very much. We were there when the pool was closed for renovations, staff kindly arranged us to use the Regis pool next door, but practically this was not very convenient as you had to be dressed and walk there, and then change before and after in the Regis toilets at pool. We appreciated the gesture but we would have much preferred to use the hotel pool it’s just nicer and if it’s renovated I’m sure it will be lovely. All in all though highly recommend, nice that a long standing hotel is still holding its own. Well done.

They took care of all guests with very nice smile. I talked to K.Nueng about problem with my profile in GHA Discovery Application. He fixed my problem very seriously and quickly within a few moments. Many thanks to Khun Nueng and his team, K.Mena, K.Bom and K.Eak. for their excellent service. We had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Lobby lounge and my mother had 90 minutes of Stress & Release massage at Anantara Spa. All staff we met were very nice, especially took a very good care of senior guest liked my mother. Cons: This is my 8th time staying in Anantara siam this year , so i assumed i am regular customer, however this time i am disappointed from the way i was treated , i am really considering stop staying there me and my business associates, usually i go to Bangkok for 3-4 days for business reasons for couple of meetings so usually i arrive late night at my first night then do my meetings second and third days , this time i had a meeting from 10 am till 3 pm and my flight was at 8 pm so on my way out of the hotel i passed by the front desk to require late check out to 4 pm just few minutes to change my clothes from suit to more comfortable thing for traveling so the lady in the frontdesk told me that the max she can give free of charge is 2 pm then if i need to 4 pm i will need to pay for it , i told her i just need to change my clothes and as i am regular customer staying there min 2 times a month and i checked in almost midnight of the first night i told her to check with her manager if he can do this for me , i was then surprised by the way her manager treated me as he said he cant give me any late check out and he said they will need to clean the room and when i said i am really disappointed and i was not expecting this he just left me and went away , this was a surprise, the only reason me and my team was staying in anantara was the hospitality and service now i think its all gone , i really think of changing my hotel in Bangkok

We decided to go with the Anantara Siam Hotel for our wedding reception for it's location, atmosphere, and engaging staff. It felt luxurious, while maintaining the Thai charm that felt inviting at the same time. We were recommended by friends and have no regrets as the staff were very hospitable, flexible and attentive to our needs despite many changes that came up with planning from overseas. A special shout out to K'Golf who supported us throughout the planning process and was very responsive throughout. We stayed there for two nights, along with several family and friends as well who all enjoyed their stay especially the breakfast buffet and food prepared. From the beautiful flowers and set up, to in-room surprises and warm welcome, we had a beautiful celebration to last down memory lane. Location is easily walkable to several major malls like Central World, Central Embassy, Chid Lom and Siam Paragon. Although the pool was closed and the hotel was undergoing several renovations this summer, they also provided the use of the pool in the hotel next door and ensured no renovation would take place during our celebration.

Cons: We’ve stayed at Anantara Siam multiple times — it was always our go-to hotel in Bangkok. The staff remain wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is still charming, which is why several family members choose this hotel exclusively when visiting. However, this time we were deeply hurt and disappointed. A minor incident involving our 6-year-old child led to an exaggerated and unfair response from management. Instead of handling it with understanding or even basic flexibility — especially for loyal guests — the Front Office Manager insisted we pay a shockingly high fee, with no room for discussion. Her tone was accusatory and unyielding, despite us suggesting alternative solutions. To make matters worse, the hotel failed to disclose that the pool would be closed during our stay, and that renovations would cause significant noise. The vague booking.com notice was not enough to make us aware — we would have stayed elsewhere if fully informed. This was not the hospitality or respect we expected from a place we’ve supported for years. Sadly, we won’t be coming back, and we’ll share our experience with friends, family, and on social media so others are aware. A truly disappointing experience — especially from current management.

The worst part of this stay was the evening canapés provided provided by the "lounge" at the Lobby. Only one set per person, dishes tasted dreadful, some mocktails were undrinkable, the service was horrendously slow Staff at the Lobby lounge also appeared unsure of the 6pm "turndown drink" and took forever to get back to us about the drink contents When we asked for more "turndown drink", we were told that they only serve it at 6pm. All these because the staff were so slow to tell us what the drink contained. Also, on both days, the lounge didn't have any grape tea (available on the menu) This lounge ranks among one of the worst in terms of food/drink quality (and no selection of food). Our onward journey in Bangkok will bring us to the Chatrium Grand, JW Marriott, and the Westin, where we have lounge access, and we believe that they will be able to provide better lounge service after experiencing the low standards set by the Anantara Hot chocolate in the lounge (and during breakfast was so tasteless/bland, that it needed 2-3 sugar cubes to taste like a chocolate drink. Next, we were confused about whether mineral water was free (we thought it was weird that the letter stated that mineral water wasn't free) and throughout the day, we didn't dare to open a single bottle of their chang mineral water. On arrival, one of the lift was not working and they were clueless about it. There were flies and mosquitoes inside the room on both days and our sleep was affected on the first day. There was a spider in the room on our third day- what if the spider was venomous and had bitten us? Our air-condition malfunctioned during the 2nd day as well Restrictions on hotel credit very unclear. Otherwise, service was generally quite ok. Breakfast was decent, and front-desk staff were fine. Things seemed to be breaking down in the hotel, however. There was nothing exceptional, and in my opinion, it is not worth the value for money. Finally, the view from our hotel room is very bad and the sound insulation is not as good as newer hotels.

All available rooms are centred around a courtyard. They have turned this courtyard into “one of Thailands best bars”. The music blares through loudspeakers with live performers and an enthusiast audience singing along and clapping until 11pm every night (confirmed by staff). Additionally, when we came home back one afternoon for a rest before going out for the evening the same thing - blaring music ( not sure if this is every afternoon). The night manager said they would turn the volume down and could move us to another room the next day. Nothing happened - full blast till 11pm. The day manager apologised, said they do not turn the music down for guests and as all rooms faced the courtyard moving was not a helpful option. Both managers were well aware that this was a recurring problem. We were given a massage and late check out as an apology. We were on the highest floor and I pity those who were even closer to the noise. Senior Management appears to think they are running a pub not a hotel. We are seasoned world wide travellers and this is the most disregard by a hotel for its paying guests that I have ever come across.

Booked and paid for a club room. Arrived to be told they were renovating so all of the club benefits were off. They did offer us £20 worth of stuff a day (room costs An extra £70 per day 🤬 and they’re didn’t see this would be an issue). Pool closed as well, all with no warning. Genuinely feel raped and pillaged. Won’t use them again and at least as a boss at my firm , I can make my staff never use them which will genuinely hurt their business. Best of all they keep emailing me upgrade options, at a price of course. Genuinely a sick joke!1

Was impressed from the moment the taxi arrived at the hotel drop off area. Was greeted by staff there and he assured me that my luggage would be delivered safely to the room. Then the staff at the hotel lobby brought me to the Kasara Lounge lobby to check-in. Welcome drink was served with a small snack. It was also afternoon tea-time but I couldn't indulge as I had a dinner appointment on that day. Was upgraded to Junior Suite room, thanks to GHA Discovery. Thankful to the staff who led me to my room as it was slightly confusing for a first-time guest. The luggage was already in the room after the check-in was completed. Kudos to the team for the efficient service! There was a welcome note, fruit basket and a chocolate bar awaiting in the room too. Do note that the items in the minibar is chargeable. Had booked the set lunch for the next day at Guilty (one of the restaurant in the hotel) and it was an excellent choice. Also tried Biscotti (Italian restaurant) and loved the food there too. Had breakfast and evening cocktail at Kasara Lounge the next day and it was nice trying local wine during evening cocktail. Breakfast selection as with most lounges, was small with the usual eggs, pastries, fruits, and cheeses available. It was lovely seeing hotel staff in traditional wear. Special thanks to Lynn who made the effort by engaging in small talk to make the guest feel at home.

Booked a year in advance, went for the club room, which came with a load of extras , afternoon tea, drinks for a couple of hours. Room costs c £70 per night extra. Arrive to be told club room is being renovated so no services available but here’s £22.60 of credit a day, but not on mineral water, wine or pretty much anything else. Basically been scammed!!

Staff are fabulous as always and the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Would appreciate multicountry plugs and USBC ports in the near future. Only issue was courtyard bar playing live music until 11.30pm on a weekday but it stopped not long after calling reception.

The hotel is going through a large scale renovation till Dec 2025, no one bothered to tell us. The great ling standing staff at club lounge have gone, the lounge is closed, limited rooms only on the outer side. Staff look demotivated and disinterested. The food has gone downhill, breakfast is cold and stations are held-down by untrained staff. All in all a place to avoid, this is coming from someone tgat has stayed many times before

I have nothing but good things to say about the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. Any staff member I interacted with has always greeted me with a smile, been helpful with anything I needed help with, always opened the front doors for me when coming/leaving the property, etc. The room itself was gorgeous and spotless. House cleaning came by regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. All amenities the facility had were great! I utilized the 24 hour gym, their sauna/hot tub, their pool, spa, and partook in a breakfast buffet once. The location was within walking distance of their BTS Skytrain and many popular Bangkok malls. Even plenty of taxis around if you decide to not use the BTS. Also only a 30 minute drive (with NO TRAFFIC) of the BKK hotel.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. It was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in awhile.

There was a dress code to access the lounge and dining which I was little surprised however given the condition of the hotel I can understand that they might not want people wear flip flops to enter the lounge lol as lots business meetings are happening.

I never write reviews, but my stay at Anantara Siam is worth writing about. Great hotel — not so large that you get lost in a sea of tourists. Great amenities. Extraordinary staff. Son took ill and staff made sure we had everything we needed for him to get better. Would not stay elsewhere in Bangkok.

Hotel is very beautiful, even though building itself may be a bit dated. I travelled during the Songkran weekend, and the staff put up a parade - a completely "White Lotus" experience! The staff were very friendly too. Spa is amazing! Not sure if this is available, but may I suggest perhaps that the hotel provide free traditional costumes so that we can dress up and take photos with the beautiful staircase?

Great location / wonderful feel however the property is getting a bit dated - while it was raining noticed a few water drips in the galleries - also it would be great if the concierge can keep a good listing of halal friendly restaurants for the Muslim guests

It is very much a classic hotel in a very bustling part of Bangkok. Plenty of food choices within it and an excellent pool area. Given the classic hotel, the rooms were nice but the age of the hotel is very much showing in the rooms. The bathrooms showed age with cracking grout in the bathtub and mirrors with rusting spots, and the toilet did not have the electronic bidets common throughout 3-5 star hotels in SE Asia. The staff were friendly, but some had difficulty understanding English. However, we had issues with our room including a non-working telephone and some electrical outlets not functioning. It took the staff two times to fix all of the issues with the room's wiring. If one wants to stay at a classic hotel, this is a wonderful choice even with the issues we experienced.

It took 1/2hour to check in - too long. But check out was quick. My room had no hot water whatsoever. There is no working shower poolside. There is no proper changing room for Ladies with hot showers for Ladies at the Pool. Buffet Breakfast standard has declined particularly Dim Sum and Sushi.

We have stayed at the Anantara Siam several times now over the space of 10+ years. The fact that we keep returning there, in a city with so many 5 star hotels, is a sign of how much we appreciate what the hotel offers. As soon as you enter the lobby, there is a sense of calm (partly due to the lovely fragrance?) and it is visually stunning with the displays of orchids and the grand staircase. Staff are helpful and attentive and the check-in procedure is quick and easy. Due to my membership status with GHA Discovery, we were upgraded to a suite with access to the Kasara Club Lounge. The entire team there are a credit to the hotel: friendly, courteous and professional. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and incredibly quiet, given that the BTS ran just outside the windows. My one complaint was the behaviour of some guests and one pool attendant. The guests (2 different couples) had obviously come to an arrangement with the pool attendant: he placed towels on 2 different pairs of sun loungers, presumably each morning, so that nobody else could use them. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable: shame on the guests for doing this but a disgrace on the part of the pool attendant for colluding with them (he was quite unpleasant when we asked if we could use them, since there were no personal belongings on any of the loungers). I have never experienced this before at the hotel and, frankly, never thought I would. I spoke to a manager at the front desk so I hope this is a one-off incident and that pool staff will be instructed to politely decline any such requests.

The property itself is absolutely stunning but the staff and rooms were incredible. We were well looked after, nothing was too much of an ask, exactly how a 5 star hotel should be run. I felt like royalty on arrival which is really appreciated after a day of travelling. Location is fantastic with BTS 2 mins walk away. Restaurants and food were excellent.

Arrived at the hotel and greeted by the friendly concierge. Checking in was a breeze. The staff are professional and polite. The room is big and clean with the basic essential toiletries. Wide selection for the breakfast buffet. The only complaint was there were mosquitoes in the room. Informed the concierge and they put the mosquito repellent but it wasn't effective. Location was okay, about 10 minutes walk to four face Buddha but needed to take BTS 2 stations to go MBK or about 25 minutes walk to platinum mall and CentralWorld.

The staff are amazing, especially the Concierge staff (callout to Sprite, Jam and Mike) who always had a smile and helped us out on many occasions during our stay. The breakfast buffet was abundant, although the baked goods lacked flavour. The in-house restaurants are on the pricey side, but that's to be expected in a 5 star hotel, however many other options in the vicinity. The ground floor bar had a singer most nights... much too loud as the sound travelled up the north atrium and could be heard in my room.

The staff are very welcoming and sweet; Spa is lovely; gym is very well equipped; staff are very attentive; there was an ATM available on the location as my cards didn't work during the check-in so I had to pay in cash.
Cons: During the weekend the load sound of the music was unbearable. The cleanliness of the room when I checked in as the previous guest had coffee but the machine was not cleaned after him/her.

The room I stayed was standard type but had sufficient space and was always excellent clean. Breakfast was also very good, and you should choose the Thai signature fried noodle. All staffs are completely trained. It is located very close to a BTS station and very convenient to go out, although you can walk to Erawan Phum for just 5 min and Central World shopping mall as well. I would like to come back here if I have a chance to come to Bangkok again.

Club Lounge was just ok and despite having many restaurants, they are all just OK. nothing amazing which is a pity. maybe better to have fewer but better restaurants. Cons: Transfer from the airport more expensive when looking at other providers. We had a 3 1/2 hour transfer from Hua Hin back to the airport which was cheaper than the 50 minutes from airport to Anantara.

The room was just as expected. The hotel facilities were great, and the breakfast was phenomenal. There were lots of different cuisines to choose from. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was also perfect and very helpful to get around Bangkok.

You cannot find a better hotel in Bangkok, in terms of friendliness, politeness, attentiveness, professionals, cleanliness and "absolut perfection" in every sense. Every single member in the hotel is polite, friendly, sincerely caring and helpful. We could not have had a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotel is walkable to most places, yet a quiet heaven (from the noise and crowd of the city) as soon as you step in. The club lounge access is very comforting with the most efficient and absolut top staff members. We would visit Bangkok again, 'only' to stay at this amazing hotel and the experience we have had. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Good dining in these malls and other good hotels around. very good breakfast variety for everyone and best is that chicken and beef were halal. staff was very friendly and the manager even helped my daughter find her special lip gloss which we had 'lost and given up hope for'.

The room I had was dated and not of the standard I would expect for the price. While only there overnight, I was ignored repeatedly in both the lobby area and the area in the courtyard when seeking to have something to eat and drink. While the food at breakfast was passable, having to move between 3 different areas is a problem and with no explanation of the menu on the table. While the lobby is pretty, the rest of the hotel is dated and not worth the cost of the room.

This property was a recommendation from a friend who stayed at a different location. I cannot say enough good things about this property. Lets start with the staff. Extremely helpful, pleasant and accommodating from the moment my taxi pulled up to the property. The staff was extremely helpful with suggestions on the easiest way to get to the sites via the transportation system. They were also helpful with recommendations of things to see in the immediate area of the property. Turn down service each day was wonderful as well. Now, the property. It is a great property. The main lobby is elegant. There is a piano player in the bar for cocktail hour that adds to the ambiance. The gym is one of the best hotel gyms I have ever been able to have access to. The spa and staff there was great as well. The breakfast that was provided each morning was fantastic. The variety of food and service was amazing. I recommend including it in your stay. I would definitely stay at this property if I ever find myself in Bangkok again.

This hotel is an incredible price for the value. The room and amenities were lovely (only downside is have to pay for minibar) and there was even a turndown service with fresh orchid petals on our pillows and a towel and slippers on either side of the bed. The staff was super accommodating, the gym and pool were wonderful (except construction sounds in the afternoon at the pool - but no biggie) and the cafe was great for breakfast! Multiple metro stops within 5 mins walk, always a cab or tuktuk available. Lovely park nearby. Overall 5/5 stay!!

For those of you who can afford to do so, I cannot recommend more highly this “Legacy” hotel smack-dab in the middle of busy Bangkok. Truly a “Grand Old Dame” of the genre. What impressed me most are two things: the remarkable level of personal attention and grace from the hotel staff (while not being intrusive) and absolutely the finest breakfast buffet in the country. The rooms are dated though in superb shape and well appointed - and the air conditioning works as it should! Do yourself a favor: start your journey in Thailand here. Rest up, eat at the hotel’s fine restaurants (my favorite is the one that serves Thai food) and then branch out. You simply cannot go wrong.

The hotel staff prepared a small cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was big, spacious and tastefully furnished. The hotel also provided drinking water in glass bottles, which was better than plastic bottles in my opinion. Gaysorn village and central world shopping malls were a short walk away. The BTS station Ratchadamri was also nearby. Overall, Anantara Siam Bangkok hotel was value for money and we had a very pleasant stay there.

One thing - we ate once at the Indian Accent restaurant in the hotel. the food was good, but I think the value for money is low. In a hotel like Anantra and the prices, the size of the dishes were very disappointing.

Cons: I felt that service during breakfast was quite bad, I requested coffee, but only after asking for 2nd time, they brought coffee, and I was already finishing my meal, it happened two days in a row. On the first day, I requested a 2nd one, however, it was neglected. It would be better to have a self-service station for coffee. The first day, I had to queue for breakfast.

The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel offers an ideal location in the heart of the city, particularly for those interested in shopping. It is conveniently close to major malls like CentralWorld and Siam Paragon and just steps away from the BTS Skytrain. However, I opted to take a taxi (used Grab) to get around the city, which was convenient for reaching attractions. There was a swimming pool, which I didn't use but looked nice. The room was generously sized and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfortable. There was also a swimming pool, which I didn’t use, but it looked nice.
Cons: One downside is that the loud music from the hotel’s restaurant can be bothersome at night. The hotel isn't near Bangkok's historical sites and many other attractions. My experience with the hotel's restaurants was far from satisfactory. Most waiters and waitresses were extremely rude, displaying aggressive and sarcastic behavior. Their mean-spirited attitude made dining there unpleasant, and I was very disappointed with the service. If possible, I would recommend avoiding the hotel’s restaurants altogether. While the hotel offers comfort and convenience, the poor restaurant service significantly detracts from the experience. The spa was pricey, and the massage didn't meet my expectations, but it was clean and convenient, so I still recommend it. Outside the hotel, the area is very noisy, with heavy traffic and significant air pollution. Overall, while the hotel offers comfort and convenience, the poor restaurant service detracts from the overall experience.

Rooms are well presented and made daily - what a luxury! Showers excellent. Plenty of bottled water, tea, coffee etc for when you get back from sight seeing. Many nearby shopping centres if thats what you like within 10 min walk. So easy to take the Skytrain for Bangkok sites. The reception staff can always find a taxi. Didn't want to leave!

The hospitality of the staff is incredible. Breakfast option is amazing and the hotel itself is maintained to very high standards. An amazing property with amazing staff. Will definitely come back again

It’s a very beautiful hotel, the bed is very comfortable, good quality bed sheets. Shower room is good space and shower is strong. Love the Thai food from the Spicy Market and live band. Love the staff’s warm, beautiful smiles, definitely come back here again. Also, great location for shopping’s and next to light rail station too.

It was a very comfortable stay with some outstanding service and a nice breakfast spread. The rooms need little refurbishing but overall a very good stay.

The entrance reminded me of old movies the hospitality looked like the adds unbelievable, the personnel’s the setting and the flower arrangement the piano player, amazing. The front desk officers were very tolerant and friendly. Our booking did not include breakfast however we tried having breakfast and catered to all backgrounds and preferences. The hotel is just short distance from major shopping malls, that was were very convenient. The rooms very spacious.
