L’Admiral hotel è stata davvero una bella scoperta! Colazione dolce e salata molto varia, con diversi prodotti senza glutine e un ottimo cappuccino con bevanda all’avena. Centro di Milano raggiungibile in meno di 20 minuti grazie alla fermata del tram 19, proprio di fronte all’hotel. Ci tengo molto a ringraziare tutto lo staff: le ragazze del bar, l’addetto che mi ha aiutata con le valigie, e in modo particolare la persona che mi ha accolta calorosamente alla reception nonostante fosse mezzanotte passata. Tornerò sicuramente

Fantastic location gives easy walking distance to plenty of amenities. The hotel itself is quirky which I love, so many trinkets and attention to detail has gone into the decoration. I spent lots of time in the hotel lobby area which was colourful but calm. Comfortable room and I had a balcony which was very pleasant to sit out on.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.

L’emplacement idéal à côté du Nouveau Centre d’affaire de Milan. Très proche du métro à pied et d’une gare centrale. La décoration sur le thème des voitures de courses et un musée dédié au cinéma. Le personnel de l’hôtel est au petit soin !

The hotel is a few minutes away from the tram and metro station so getting around is relatively easy.

Cons: The hotel is quite old and in need of renovation. The lift is old and scary, lots of hard jumps that seem like it may stop at any time. The rooms are definitely not worth 4 stars. Our room was small and there was only a thin summer blanket on the bed, not enough when it was 3 degrees during the night. The breakfast was also nothing to write home about with expired butter and cold eggs. The receptionist is also not very friendly. When we asked where to go for Christmas markets, she laughed as if it should have been obvious to us. We were then informed about city tax as we were leaving, not before, so we left with an even worse sour taste in our mouth. It is definitely not worth the money we paid and we will not be returning. Not recommended in the least!

Cons: My stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing. I travel frequently and have visited many countries, including Italy, and rarely face such issues. The main problem was the air conditioning . it was not available during my entire stay, even though it was clearly listed on Booking.com. When I asked the staff, they kindly explained that the hotel policy allows using the AC only if the outside temperature drops below 12°C, which was never mentioned on the booking page. The weather stayed around 19°C or higher, making the room quite uncomfortable. To be fair, the reception staff were polite and tried to help, and the breakfast offered a reasonable variety. However, the lack of proper air conditioning and the difficulty reaching Booking.com for assistance made this experience far below expectations, especially in such a beautiful city.

Cons: While my wife was going to load the luggage on the car a receptionist came from the hotel saying "you cannot lave without paying the tax" in front of the rest of the guests. Bear in mind that I was still in the room and we did not process the check out yet. One of my employee was kidnapped in the hall until I came down from the room. Now, I'm the CEO of a company and I spent for this stay 1800 euro for the stay of my team and I also sent a letter with all the info about invoicing tom y company. I have the genius on Booking, Marriot and Hilton member card. I have never ever experience a situation like that . Even in Sud Sudan in a new formed democracy an din an Hotel that was almost a stable I had a better service and support. TERRIBLE

La stanza non era quella prenotata. Il gestore mi ha detto che ha rimediato con altra stanza perché voi avete forzato la prenotazione, nonostante l’hotel vi aveva informato che era al completo l’hotel. Mi ha dato una stanza che nel bagno neanche riuscivo a sedermi sul wc perché da una parte avevo il muro dall’altra la doccia dall’altra il bidè, la stanza era vecchia e non rispecchiava quella nella foto da me prenotata. The hotel ha no sound proofing. There was constant noise, including very early in the morning. It sounded like furniture was being moved above me, alongside being able to overhear conversations in the corridors and the use of showers in other rooms. Some form of bulding utilities could also be heard.

The hotel itself was absolutely fine - quirky decor and wonderful, friendly staff. Single rooms are quite cozy but that is to be expected - if you like a little more space book a double!

Cons: HOWEVER communication with booking.com was poor and I had issues with 3 of the 5 rooms booked, despite also sending emails with rooming lists and getting in touch with booking.com for the changes I needed to make. Two were name changes made months ago and two were date changes and I was sent between the hotel and booking.com customer service and still had an incorrect booking.

The WORST hotel in Milan. The room was infested with mosquitoes, the furniture was old. The bed was like a cardboard. The hotel has a terrible location... the list goes on. You still use metal keys with massive room number logos. The elevators are small and feel like they will break down any minute. Parking is very sketchy and don't plan on it being available. They might have 3-4 spots max for the entire hotel. Now to the most important part. The customer service. It does not exist. They have the absolute worst service of any hotel in Europe. This starts from the owner who casually walks around the lobby to the front desk staff. They are all extremely rude. if you are coming from the USA or UK DO NOT STAY HERE. They will do everything they can to charge you more and if you don't pay, they will threaten to call the police and kick you out. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST.

The location is great, near the metro but the rest is not at the level of 4 star hotel. I was lucky to get a room view the view on the inside court so it was quite silent. The staff was very kind.

Cons: The hotel is quite old, not well soundproofed and full of mixed furniture. No problem in choosing a cheap solution but it should be mentioned that this is not a 4-star level hotel.

I travel often and stayed in this hotel one night after a day of work. I particularly appreciated the kindness and friendliness of the staff. The room was impeccably prepared and the bathroom absolutely clean. The room was very quiet and I slept well. In the morning I had an excellent breakfast served by quick and efficient staff. Top location close to the new citylife district and its mall.

Cons: Unfortunately it is a very busy area and it is difficult to find parking for your car. However, the hotel has some parking and the staff was very helpful in finding a space for my car. By the way, the hotel is very close to the metro station

This hotel is perfectly located, close to metro line 5 (Domodossola station is 3-minute away by walk). All the staff is helpful and friendly, especially the employees at the reception and the cleaning staff. The room was clean and quiet. The owner seems to be a fan of the eighties and vintage things. Every room has a nickname and is decorated accordingly. They serve a varied breakfast. I will for sure choose that hotel again for my next visit in Milan.

The location is a walk distance to the conference centre and there is a metro station two minutes away. The floors were clean.

Cons: There is no way this is a four star hotel, impossible. It is quite run-down (e.g., holes in walls), and the decor might not suit everybody (F1 + cars + James Bond styles). During the night, you could hear the elevators all the time, it is impossible to sleep. The shower is so tiny, you can hardly turn when inside. The place for breakfast is too small too, there are 30 people sitting where 15 people should be. Definitely not worth the money.

Cons: This is a super weird property and I don't recommend it. The last hotel of a 2-week italy trip and we were only there one night. It smells weird like old dust and is full of old James Bond memorabilia and furniture from the 70s. The tiny elevators seemed even older than that, like maybe 60s with the most recent inspection stickers from 2015 and bounced/dropped slightly to the point where I just hoped I would not die. There are stairs, but they are full of construction debris and there were no lights, so get out your cell phone. The doors all use hard keys, which would have been okay except that the door is actually being locked/unlocked from both sides. So I left my kids in the room and went for a walk, locking the door behind me as I left. Then 10 minutes into my walk I thought... I wonder how my kids would get out if there were a fire (note, the windows are boarded up with scaffolding in front of them for the exterior renovation as well right now, which I knew when booking). I get back to the room and check how they could have opened the door and they would not have been able to. I do not understand how this place is allowed to operate in what seems extremely unsafe between the door locks and elevators - these two things are the #1 reason to stay away. Otherwise, the room seemed cleanish, but weird decor that is unsettling to wake up to, comforters rather than a clean duvet, uncomfortable old mattresses and pillows, old electrical (again, 60s??), random pipes coming out of the wall. thin walls (you hear words from conversations next door and upstairs) and general appearance of a "lipstick" renovation. This place was listed with Booking.com as a 4-star upscale boutique hotel. I would barely call it 2-star. I had been staying at cute clean modern 3-star places also booked through booking.com for the previous 2 weeks, so trusted their system. I barely slept, left the lights on and generally felt lucky to live through the stay.

Cons: If you have a room facing the front of the hotel, the noise of the tram in the morning is not nice at all, maybe better sound proofing could help. Also there isn't much sound proofing between the room door and the corridor. When for example the person in the opposite side of the corridor is opening his door to enter his room, it seems he is entering your room. Again sound proofed doors would help. Lift needs an upgrade.

This hotel was a great choice to participate in the Milano21 running event occurred last November. It is conveniently located close to the start/end, they have private parking, they offered me early breakfast and late check-out perfectly in time with the race timings. Last but not least, staff is very kind and in particular Willy made all possible efforts to ensure that also my family with a little kid could enjoy the stay while I was participating in the competition. Very recommended.

For the vintage enthusiast the property has a vintage theme. The proximity to amenities is absolutely amazing. The train and metro station is just 100m away and therefore ease of transportation. Cons: I understand there was building work going on whilst I was staying there and made aware of this from others reviews, not directly from the hotel. However when standing in the bathroom, I opened the window and you could slide the cover from the outside, so if there were workmen outside they could just slide the shutter and see you in the shower or on the toilet. The football room we had was quite dated compared to some of the other rooms photographed online. I didn’t like that you had to give the key to the room back to reception everytime you entered and exited and the storage space for bags wasn’t secure

The light of the hallway was on all night and the light would come into my room from underneath the door. Cons: There was nothing that we liked about the hotel it was overpriced and dirty. It says that it is 4* but I would say it's 2* hotel. The reception staff were so careless. Also, the TV in the room wasn't working.

This hotel wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. I don’t think I would stay here again. I wish the room key wasn’t so heavy and bulky, it was hard to fit in my purse. Breakfast was really nice though. Better than a lot of hotel breakfasts.

Cons: Weird vibes. I also wish my luggage that they held into for us while they got the room ready was stored in a separate room rather than right at the front desk, it did not feel very secure.

Cons: The Hotel was under massive reconstruction (also nobody was working) - the stairs was full of construction materials, the elevator and room furniture super old and in poor condition. Because of working of renovation of exterior(i repeat - was no workers there), in room was no natural light !!! - the view was 100% blocked by the construction. There is no extra facilities that is somehow present in a 4* hotels (like sauna, sport space etc)

This is not a 'run of the mill' good hotel: it has a very special character of its own kind. The rooms are themed, and being an ex alpine ski athlete I happened (by chance) to sleep in a ski racing themed room, where posters of the truly great champions, as well as some memorabilia of the past, adorn the walls. Very cool. If you are a James Bond enthusiast the huge collection of 007's memorabilia (including a 007 special bib raced by Alberto Tomba!) are a must see. And there's a working slot car track too... And oh, yes, the hotel, the location, the friendly staff, are worth mentioning as well :)

The staff was polite and speaking very good English. There is parking with limited parking spots that costs 15 EUR per night. Coffee is good too as well as everywhere in Italy. Wi-fi was ok too. The rooms were quiet and bed is comfortable.

Cons: 1. The hygiene was at a very low level. At first they gave us a room which was not cleaned. On top of that the previous guest was a savage and has left both the room and the WC in an outrageous condition. I made pictures and showed them on reception. Staff apologized and asked me to send them the pictures in order to escalate the issue to management. As compensation they moved us to a junior suite room which was ok but a bit dusty as well. You could find dust in the lobby too. 2. Currently there are renovation works on the facade and all windows are blocked with cartons and you do not have daylight. Fortunately we were there only for Saturday night and we didn't meet the workers on the balcony. 3. I went for breakfast at 09:50 and there was nothing left. I was told that breakfast has finished even though it should be until 10 am. The breakfast might be good but I can't tell. All in all the hotel is old fashioned and needs a total refurbishment.

A very nice themed hotel. As comunicated on the website and as well as direct to us as bookers the property is under construction. We were allowed to change the room from front to back of the building where it was very quiet.

Staff were very helpful and nice but the walls were paper thin, could also hear the lift all night and all the noises from surrounding rooms. Also builders and housekeeping starting at about 8am didn’t help . If you want a decent nights sleep this hotel is best to be avoided.

This hotel is themed around aquatic activities, James Bond, Formula One, and motorcycle racing. All things that were popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Our bathroom was large and the room was a good size. Breakfast was traditional European fare and even had eggs and sausage. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, the metro line 5 is two minutes walking from the door. There is on-site parking through a gate to the right of the main door.

Cons: This 4-star hotel was designed in the 1970's, and none of the luxurious amenities were renewed. The floors were re-done and walls painted, but this old building's bones are still from the 70s (elevator, heating, air conditioning, decorations, smell, etc). However, if you love the era and want the nostalgia there is nowhere better to stay in Italy.

The room was very big and was cleaned every day. The beds were super ok with the mattress. Close to the subway and shops/restaurants.

Cons: The first evening was cold and the ventilation did not give much heat. The bathroom was very small, especially the shower. Renovations were being made on the outside of the hotel and we were not informed about this aspect. Some of the staff do not know English and we did not understand with them about the payment of the city tax.

Cons: - there was a foul smell and old in the room - dust on the cabinets - very dated towels and bed linen - TV not working - toilet seat mobile - breakfast was really bad and they don’t have kitchen on site. The breakfast contains very cheap and unhealthy products - apart from the reception personal, no one speaks any English, making difficult to communicate. - very loud noises heard from the corridor and other rooms, so difficult to rest.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would and that would be the first coming from me. I checked in late that evening with no issues. The receptionist was quite pleasant. Got into the elevator and in all my travels I can't remember ever seeing an elevator so tiny (maybe more common than I thought but FYI). I am an xs individual and could hardly fit in there with bag. Got to my room and I thought for a moment I had checked into the wrong hotel because for the price I paid and room I got there was no way this room was worth it. Then I could not get the bathroom light to go on and as I later learned from the receptionist I had to keep one switch on in order to turn on the bathroom light which took over 5 seconds to come on. Later I opened the closet only to find shopping bags and garbage from the previous person who stayed in the room. Taking a shower was a nightmare. Not only was there a used shower cap in the bathroom but the water kept changing temperature on its own to the point where it would literally get scorching hot to ice cold. Finally the walls are ceiling is paper thin. I constantly disturbed by noise from the room above which I am sure they did not realize. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and would ask that Expedia do not market such hotels on its website.

i liked how close it was to San Siro, which was my sole reason for visiting Milan.

Cons: The bed was incredibly hard and I didn’t sleep very well as a result. The breakfast was average. would’ve been better to have had some bacon on offer instead of cut up hot dog. the shower cubicle was tiny. every time I moved meant I turned the tap meaning I was either scolded or frozen. my room appeared to be quite dated. certainly not one of the more modern rooms as per the photos. I’m not sure I would stay here again unless I was visiting for a football match. doesn’t offer value for money

the location was really good. there was a construction on the front facade of the hotel and we had a bit of a noise during the day. the staff immediately changed the room after we shared the problem. the decorations in the lobby area and in the rooms were really interesting, each room had a different theme. we would definitely stay here again!

Hotel located next to the metroline. In peaceful area. The room was comfy, big and clean. The whole hotel is designed in old fashioned style with sport and James Bond spirit. That makes it very interesting place. We had some troubles with our holidays and we are realy glad that hotel stuff did their best for us to have a good time in this place. As far as we know, the hotel is in renovation right now so I am sure that now it is super place and then it will be even better.

Hotel rimasto fermo agli anni 50. E anche per gli standard di allora sarebbe stato pessimo. Scarsa pulizia ovunque (zone comuni e camere). Ascensori orribili e rumorosi. Le scale evitatele se non volete inorridire. Condizioni veramente pessime. Camere rumorisissime, letto e cuscini scomodi, bagni sporchi. Unica cosa che si salva è la posizione: walking distance da Mico.

Das war mit Abstand eines der interessantesten Hotels, in dem ich je war. So viel Liebe fürs Detail, richtig cool. Hab zwar noch nie einen James Bond Film gesehen, hab aber spätestens jetzt das Bedürfnis einen zu schauen 😂 es kommt zwar etwas altmodisch rüber, aber ich finde, genau das macht den Charme des hotels aus.
