Cardo Roma is a Great Hotel with exceptional service and facilities. Located in the south of Rome there is public transport available as well as shuttle buses provided by the hotel into the city centre. The ride takes around 30-40 minutes.

We spent one night at the Cardo as we wanted to be closer to the airport for an early morning departure. What a nice hotel and fabulous staff. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff were so welcoming and curtious. There is a shuttle that is offered to downtown as well.

This Marriott has been beautifully renovated, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Our suite included a full bath, a half bath, and a soaking tub in the bedroom. A total delight after long days of travel and sightseeing. The room was peaceful, comfortable, and impeccably designed. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The reason why I rate it a five out of five is because for the following outstanding staff you have, Tiziano, Lorenzo, and Francesca. These three individuals truly made my experience at Cardo Roma even more exceptional. From the minute, I walked into the hotel. I was served with the both professionalism, very informative and very accommodating. Am I staying recommended places to go places to eat what activities best suit me I was also given additional support with respects to booking. The hotel room was absolutely phenomenal as well as all the amenities of the hotel. I have to say once again Tiziano and Lorenzo are top notch employees, and without a doubt I will return to Cardo Roma, whenever I’m in Roma, and I will highly recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family who will be visiting Roma in the near future

Amazing stay! It was just a 3 night stay but it felt like home. We’re glad to stay at Cardo Roma. The rooms are great! They have a very good gym too! It is what you expect from this type of hotel. The on site restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The free shuttle into Rome is a bonus and drops you off near the main attractions and close to the hop on hop off tourist bus stops. Saves you going through the train terminal area.

Stayed here for the first time because hotels were booked up the city centre due to the half marathon. Location is not ideal, but we took the free shuttle each day, which worked out very well. Had dinner four times in the restaurant. Great food and great service. Room was spacious and clean. Excellent gym. Staff in all departments were excellent.

Не очень удобно продумана ванная, заходишь сразу у стекло от душевой, ночью можно повредиться Мы также попросили два зубных набора, но принесли один, также и набор тапочек был для одного человека. Чувствуется экономия на всем. Плохо промыты чашки, ложки и чайник. Все пришлось перемывать. Было крайне неприятно.

Cons: Somente a localização é um pouco distante (20-30 minutos dos principais pontos turísticos) O hotel possui uma van com 3 horarios pela manhã e 3 pela tarde como transfer gratuito que nos deixou ao lado do fórum romano. Caso deseje, um Uber custa aproximadamente 35 euros até esses pontos. Mobilidade via metrô é complicada, pois a estação está razoavelmente próximo (10-15 minutos a pé) porém em grandes avenidas onde a locomoção não é tão segura devido ao grande movimento de carros.

We used this hotel as a launching pad for our daily Rome trips. Front desk was very patient and helpful rooms very clean and the nearly hourly shuttle to Rome was on time and outstanding. We arranged private transportation to and from the airport and it was arranged and communicated clearly and promptly. We chose this resort to be away from the downtown hustle so we could relax nightly and were not disappointed. The gym equipment was plentiful new and large name gym quality. We ate the breakfast daily we recommend it since no place is within walking distance and ate twice in the dining room. Daily breakfast was a buffet and the nightly dinners were from a standard menu but both were good. You won’t regret staying here

I’ve been living in Rome for 8 years and throughout that time I’ve booked a lot of hotels in Rome for my staycation (reason why I’ve earned level 3 genius) this is by far THE BEST. As soon as you enter the hotel, the interiors and perfume scent already make you feel rested. It’s like stepping into a whole new world in Rome- thanks to the guest services team, especially those at the Front desk (Lorenzo, Mary/Maria, and the man whose name I forgot that was also very kind and had a bright and genuine presence..Paolo if I remember) You have the best Front Desk team.. and the best customer service in Rome if not Italy. I understand they don’t wear name tags but for the first time in 30 years, was sincerely interested to know their names. I hope Cardo Roma continues to take care of them and give incentives because they are golden! They possess the communication skills (both English and Italian) empathy, and a genuine desire to help along with the confidence of being a hotel representative. Thanks to Mary for also responding right away and sending maintenance to check the Netflix app, maintenance guy came right away and did his best to help, was very kind and helpful as well. When the app wouldn’t work, Mary arranged a better room for us and we were able to access my Netflix account and have our movie night thanks to her. She listened, solved the issue, and even apologized for the inconvenience- more than made up for it thanks to her kindness, humility and expertise. That is not customer service you can anywhere in Rome I tell you! Just Mary of Cardo Roma. :) Now I cannot book any other hotel in Rome after Cardo Roma so I will surely come back for more staycations and will highly suggest it to friends and relatives abroad. Also, in my experience, when other guests are not happy, it affects other guests and bring about problems during the stay- not the case in Cardo Roma, it was peaceful and I could feel that the other guests were also having a nice time. Go ahead and book! First time for me in 8 years of living in Rome to really experience a good staycation and to give a 10. Beautiful art pieces as well. Inflatable pools for kids were so much fun. We were a family of 6 and all of us absolutely loved this hotel. Located away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but only a 20 min drive on the hotels complimentary shuttle bus....The hotel is beautifully decorated in a fabulous retro style with a fabulous outside pool and bar area....The breakfast every morning was great with a wide choice of everything and can be enjoyed in the beautiful dining room or outside at the pool area. We also dined 2 evening in the hotel again food great...There is also a fabulous spa area and indoor pool and a games room for children and teenagers... Overall we had a great stay and would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of us.

The hotel is not at the center but they offer free shuttles in various hours that are totally worth it! I also recommend getting a massage while you’re there because their masseuses are amazing🤍

The property was nice however, they did have a lot of unbidden fees my husband and I were not aware of. When I booked this room, he said the only thing we had to pay at the hotel was $121. The receptionist then told us we had to pay an additional €700 at check-in as the alleged security deposit. We also got charged for room service every single day (service fee). There should be more food options both on room service and at the pool. Other than that everything was cool.

The hotel is beautifully presented, the staff were friendly and helpful and the quality of the food was also excellent. The breakfast exceeded expectations and the children loved the inflatable water park! Our room was decorated and furnished to a high standard and everything at the hotel was of a high quality.

Cons: The cost of food and drinks was considerably higher than in restaurants and bars. It was a shame not to be able to buy gelato for the children without spending 12 euros per person. Although the hotel is quite close to the metro station, it is a shame we had to get a taxi there as we were told the short walk wasn't safe. It would have been useful to have somewhere in the room to dry wet swimming things.

In August, I returned to Cardo Roma after a great stay in the summer of 2024. Just as with my prior stay, the accommodation and standard of service provided by the Cardo Roma staff were outstanding. Special appreciation to Monica for her warm and professional assistance during both the 2024 and 2025 stays, as well as Catemina, who provided excellent and timely communication and went above and beyond to assist me in resolving an urgent courier issue, given my lack of proficiency in Italian. Elite status recognition was excellent. As an Ambassador status guest, the upgraded suite was new, spacious, and featured a comfortable separate living area and bedroom; the living area offered a long table which was ideal for remote work. The internet connection was very reliable, enabling me to conduct daily work-related communication with the US. The hotel's location was great with a rental car, as it offered convenient proximity to central Rome for all the major sights and dining, as well as easy access to historic landmarks in the countryside and direct freeway access to Pompeii, where I was able to pursue my interest in photography. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I recommend this property for both business and leisure travelers.

Een heerlijke plek net buiten Rome. Auto kan goed geparkeerd worden. Hoewel gebouw van buitenkant weinig inspirerend uitziet, is het van binnen prima gerenoveerd. Voor ons (2 volwassenen met kind van 12) was het buitenzwembad in augustus een groot pluspunt. De geboekte suite was ruim en bood privacy aan ieder van ons. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Zou zo weer gaan als ik met auto was en in zomer (zwembad).

Cons: Voor het hotel stopt een bus die vlakbij Vaticaanse musea stopt. Hoewel ritje een tijd duurt, prima te doen. Metro is op zich ook een alternatief, maar weg ernaartoe is lopend niet echt veilig aangezien stoep op sommige plekken overwoekerd wordt. Gaf ons geen fijn gevoel. Paar keer taxi genomen. Reken op zo’n €25,- / €30,- Ontbijt veel tegen/ niet de moeite waard. Eerste avond in hotel gegeten. Dit was echt prima. Drie ochtenden ontbeten in hotel, was vulling van buik, maar blonk in niks uit.

Vi havde et rigtig dejligt ophold på Cardo Roma. Værelset var pænt og nyrenoveret, og hele hotellet fremstod flot, moderne og indbydende. En af de helt store plusser var den gratis transport til og fra Rom centrum – en fantastisk service, som vi var meget glade for. Derudover var det et stort plus, at der var parkering til bilen, hvilket gjorde vores ophold endnu mere bekvemt. Hotellets pool var skøn – også for vores 2-årige søn, som kunne lege trygt. Personalet gjorde generelt en god indsats, og de små fejl, der blev begået under vores ophold, blev hurtigt rettet op af Taylor. Han var utrolig sød, servicemindet og professionel, og vi vil gerne give ham et stort tak for at redde oplevelsen, især efter nogle udfordringer med mad- og drikkebestillinger ved poolen. Hvis hotellet arbejder lidt med at minimere fejl i bestillingerne og sikrer, at alle medarbejdere leverer den samme høje standard som Taylor, er vi sikre på, at oplevelsen kan blive helt i top. Alt i alt et virkelig godt hotel, som vi varmt kan anbefale – og vi kommer gerne igen!

I’m from the US and I visited Rome for the first. To say they went above and beyond, is an understatement. I’ll start with the breakfast - delicious, huge selection of patties , meats , fruits, juices , caffe with top notch service ( they accommodate for religious and dietary restrictions also). Then there are the grounds - there is an Olympic size pop with lifeguard and towel service , in the middle of lush gardens and even a bouncy house area ( $20/ day). Lastly there is the room - I got the king suite , which I felt was a little too fancy for me - bc they put such great attention to detail. Beds were comfy and they brought a roll away twin bed also.

We were especially impressed by the family-friendly touches – a large pool, a fun arcade, inflatable water slides and games that kept the kids entertained for hours. Cardo Roma was a great place to spend a week while attending a conference nearby. The hotel was beautiful with a lovely pool area. The rooms were nice and clean and modern. From the time we checked in with Mikela at the front desk, Ramano taking care of our bags, Lorenzo serving us at the restaurant and Gianmarco making us delicious drinks with the biggest smile and welcome daily, we had a delightful time. Those four staff members went out of their way to make us feel special each and everyday of our week stay. By the time we left we had made friends for a lifetime. Gianmarco got to know our tastes and made us special drinks and always made each day feel like we were royalty. Lorenzo helped us order different food combinations and made dinners enjoyable. Mikela answered each and every question with patience and Ramano greeted us every time he saw us. It's not always what you get to see on vacation, but who you get to know that make the trip remarkable. We can't wait to come back to Italy and see these employees at Cardo Roma that we can now call friends.

My stay was made very special by a visit to the Olea Spa and Wellness …warm welcome from the lovely Andrada and a wonderful massage by Emanuela…. Truly very relaxing and special, Thankyou fabulous ladies. Highly recommend. There is a lovely pool area and it’s a great place to enjoy dinner with attentive service by the professional waiters. In all, a great stay where you are made to feel special. They run a daily shuttle bus to the subway and city centre.. try Hotel 47 opposite the drop off for a nice drink or coffee and chocolate, on the roof terrace.

We stayed here for the last night of our summer holiday as we had to fly home from Fiumicino the next day. We all wished we’d stayed longer. This hotel is ugly on the outside and beautiful inside. The suite is gorgeous and immaculate. The pool area is very nice and the staff are so helpful. We’d rented a car so we drove into Trastevere for dinner and found parking easily. I could imagine without a car this hotel could be too remote though I did learn there is a shuttle. Still this hotel is a welcome departure from small cramped hotels in city Centre. We will hope to stay again when we visit Rome in the future.

Der Pool ist groß bietet aber sonst kaum Annehmlichkeiten für die Kategorie. Die Preise an der Bar sind absolut überzogen, trotzdem ist es ein sehr schönes Hotel ( von innen ) das von außen in die Jahre gekommen ist.

Cons: Wir hatten 2 Zimmer und das Zimmer zwischen uns hat bis 3:15 Uhr morgens eine „wilde Party“ gefeiert. Das Hotel Personal hat sich erst nach über 1 1/2 Std persönlich bemüht die „Zimmer Party“ zu beenden. Wenig Schlaf für viel Geld.

Breakfast with a good selection of food, but what I didn't like is that the menu says you can choose ANY selection of the food, but the waitress said that it's extra cost, even though the price is already 29 euros per person. Parking on the site. Good area of outdoor swimming pool with comfy sun deds.

Cons: A bit small bathroom. SPA area is not complimentary for the guests with an additional cost of 50 euros for a couple. We have been in many hotels, but mostly spas ( at least 1.5 hours is complimentary). We wanted to visit it, but the Turkish sauna was under maintenance. The pool bar: we ordered club sandwiches, and a cocktail, which they brought us without a straw, because the waitress said it was finished, also they didn't have a big bottle of water. Staff hardly spoke English and he brought us a bill even before the final order arrived, which is unacceptable for such a type of hotel.

This hotel was better than expected- brand new (completely renovated, used to be a Sheraton) and modern. Our Bonvoy elite upgrade to a Junior Pop suite was a little glitchy, but the room was spectacular. It has 1.5 bathrooms with a separate living area. The pool and restaurant give it a resort feeling. It was very busy while we were there but Viviana at the restaurant always took care of us. Taxi to / from Rome was easier than expected- $35 USD to center room, $25 back. You can walk to Palazzo di Congressi and the metro station but crossing the street (which becomes a highway right in front of the hotel ) is not recommended for the faint of heart. Breakfast was expansive and fresh.

Cons: Stromausfall beim Kongress vor Ort über mehrere Stunden, da hätte ich in Sachen Stromausfallabsicherung mehr erwartet. Ich finde es befremdlich bei so einer Hitze den Swimmingpool um 19:00 zu schließen. Bei so einem Hotel hätte ich Öffnungszeiten bis 22:00-23:00 Uhr erwartet. War für uns quasi nicht nutzbuar.

La habitación, la piscina y el desayuno (no comí ni cené nunca) muy bien, realmente aconsejables. Todo cómodo y limpio.

Cons: Aunque había un microbús para ir a la estación de metro cercana o al centro de Roma, tenía pocas salidas y regresos. Para reservar plaza en el microbús tenías que hacer la misma cola que para el checking o el checkout, lo cual no tenía sentido. Podría haber dado las plazas libres alguno de los conserjes del vestíbulo. El viernes 4 de julio saltó la alarma de incendios a las 6 de la mañana y todos los huéspedes desalojamos el hotel, rápida y disciplinadamente. Deambulamos un rato por los jardines de fuera sin ninguna indicación del personal del hotel. Tras unos 20 minutos volvimos a nuestras habitaciones, de nuevo sin ninguna información ni indicación del personal del hotel.

One time they had club sandwiches for us cause we were late coming back. The hotel is 20-30 mins from most everything. About 24-26euros everytime one way.. The breakfast buffet was awesome. If not included it's 30 Euros. Worth it. They were great at calling cabs for us, but download the app" free now". It's a bit more affordable.

We appreciated the rather innovative design, the pleasant impression given by the lighting, the colors palette and the tender music in the background. The organization was very prompt. They are eco-friendly too, which was highly appreciated. The room was welcoming, clean and extremely comfortable from all points of view. The availability and friendliness of the personnel was impressive. On top of everything, the culinary experience was absolutely overwhelming and for me, as a gourmet lover, made the whole stay absolutely worthy.

Cons: Maybe this is a bit extra picky and I don’t think it affected the stay overall, but maybe it’s giving a hint for optimizing future hotels 😉 the tap of the bathroom sink was a bit too long so brushing teeth or washing face was a bit uncomfortable.

Le camere hanno un tablet che permette di gestire il proprio soggiorno, dando la possibilità di ordinare cibo, prenotare la spa, consultare le informazioni. GENIALE. Passando alla colazione, si scende al piano 0 e si entra in sala. La sala è fantastica. Fare colazione li è uno spettacolo per gli occhi e per il palato. Cardo Roma is a aesthetically pleasing, modern hotel located about 25 minutes from the city center. The staff is helpful and attentive, the on-site restaurant offers delicious meals, and the pool was especially refreshing during the 90-degree weather. A complimentary shuttle runs to and from the city center in the mornings and again in the late afternoons and evenings, which is very helpful given that taxis can cost around 30 euros each way. One important thing to note: the hotel is situated in an area that doesn’t have much to offer. There are virtually no shops, restaurants, or attractions within walking distance, and the surrounding neighborhood is not particularly inviting. As a family of three, we found our room extremely small, with just one king-size bed and a bathroom that was TINY, even smaller than some we've experienced in Tokyo. Despite our Bonvoy status, we did not receive any upgrades, breakfast, or additional perks, which was very disappointing. While the hotel has some great features, given the price point and overall experience, I cannot recommend it for families or those expecting more spacious accommodations and loyalty benefits.

C'è una navetta che porta in centro e anche alla metro Eur che può risultare davvero comoda, dato che l'hotel è in estrema periferia. Mi è molto piaciuto che davano l'acqua in camera, oltre alla presenza di caffettiera e teiera, e che in reception c'erano delle freschissime acque agli agrumi e al cetriolo di cui si poteva usufruire gratuitamente. Il ristorante fa una pizza ottima. Anche la colazione, ottima e abbondante.

Cons: A noi non funzionava il tablet della camera, dal quale pare si potesse fare tanto, tipo prenotazioni, o info su hotel. Lo abbiamo fatto presente, ce lo hanno tolto ma non ce lo hanno rimpiazzato. In piscina posti all'ombra pochissimi. Inoltre abbiamo avuto un disguido con la navetta che ci ha portato in centro, davvero spiacevole.

The hotel is beautiful inside. The contemporary design and finishes are eye catching. The gym and locker room are very spacious and clean. As Bonvoy members, my husband and I were upgraded to a junior suite which was spacious with a a full bath/shower, separate bath tub and additional half bath. Also, the service was great when we checked in. My only negative comment is that WE HAD NO WATER the second night of our stay. I called the front desk multiple times with no response for action. I was able to speak to an attendant during check out but the inconvenience was awful since we were up early to catch a train but could not shower! Apparently the issue was caused by a hydraulic pump malfunction.

long ways from anything. its a nice hotel but had yard maintenance guys trimming trees early in the morning all day long. caught one of the tree guys in the air on a lift looking in our room window at my wife while she was dressing! we were on the 3rd floor and he was on a boom. the staff was not concerned when I informed them until I pushed the issue the next day when they woke us up again. They finally gave us a different room. Was days after our stay after I filled out their review that a manager called and apologized and showed some type of concern.

You receive warm welcome upon checkin which is very efficient and help with a bell gentleman helping you with luggage ( I feel sorry I did not had cash to tip him he was truly nice and serviceable). Rooms are beautiful there are all type, they have a in house restaurant and small attention such as possibility to Take away breakfast. Of course not in the city center of Rome but if you are here for conference , to go to airport or willing to stay further away because you are in a large groupe this is perfect. The staff are young they may not all be the most experienced but they are very nice and try their best at everything.

Cons: Nothing dramatic but the WiFi was not working when we were there they gave us a temporarily solution which did not work but we did not insisted on making it work as we don’t needed it. I am a very light sleeper the room next to us was watching TV very very loud and we could hear it. We were supposed to get our room ready at 3 PM (after arriving at 11 AM from an 8-hour flight), and it was almost 3:30 PM without a room, not even after claiming my Bonvoy status. The attitude of the person at the front desk was very rude and impolite. Fortunately, the supervisor was there and solved it with a last-minute room "upgrade". We'll be back, but hopefully we will find a room ready on arrival or maybe the same supervisor close to reception.

Really an awesome experience - we booked a junior suite at a very reasonable price and it was very spacious - a really nice sitting area with a great Smart TV that allowed us to tap into our personal streaming service accounts. There's a wet bar area with a microwave a mini fridge, tons of storage space and a lovely bathroom. The bedding was absolutely luxurious - a pillow top bed with down pillows: there's even a "pillow menu" if you like a different pillow type. The room was clean and quiet, and the windows open for a little fresh air. Modern, lovely and comfortable. It's only 15 minutes from FCO and they have a shuttle to town (running at specific times). It would be a great value for a Rome trip.

Hard to believe this isn't a five star hotel!!! Great hotel which felt extremely new and updated- just completed a total renovation several months prior. Room had everything I wanted and more - all amenities (robe/slippers, hairdryer with strong power, sleep timer on the remote for the Tv). Everyone at the hotel was extremely kind and the restaurant was very good for dinner. Lots of options. Included breakfast was good as well and had a lot of options, especially for people with dietary needs. Location is outside city center, but you know that going into booking it.

Mijn kinderen hebben niet normaal kunnen slapen omdat er door een fout in hun systeem heel grof en bijna respectloos tegen de deur aangebonkt wordt en gebeld word, ik heb 10 euro voor een cappuccino betaald die later maar 5 euro bleek te zijn. Kamers worden noet op tijd schoongemaakt waardoor mijn kinderen noodgedwongen buiten hebben moeten wachten tot ze klaar waren terwijl ze vergingen van de slaap. Eenmaal binnen is er echt niks schoongemaakt, niks is aangevuld, toiletpapier is op. Het is lang geleden dat ik me zo belazerd heb gevoeld door de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en ik reis echt heel vaak. Maar zo teleurgesteld ben ik nog nooit geweest.

I wrote this review as an email to the hotel's Guest Relations manager 2 days after my stay, since it had just opened and I used to love the previous incarnation - I received a very disappointing reply 6 MONTHS LATER, so I decided to publish my email as a review: ----------------------- I recently stayed in the Cardo Roma for one night, and since I had a few (hopefully constructive) comments, I was advised by one of your colleagues at reception to share them with you, so here goes; this will be a longish email, FYI. Firstly, let me say that I chose the hotel because I always enjoyed staying there when it was the Sheraton, and since I am actually originally from Rome I was well aware of the location - I was frankly curious to see what it had been turned into, while still working towards my soon-to-be goal of lifetime gold within the Bonvoy context. - The staff are all extremely polite, friendly and helpful - HOWEVER, they do not wear visible name badges, and it is seriously annoying not to know whom I am speaking to, when they know my name - The decor in the rooms is pleasant, and the ceiling fan is a stroke of genius (I hate AC) - HOWEVER: . the endless switches at each side of the bed should be clearly labelled . the fan is extremely complicated to operate (one of the settings on the remote control seems to be a timer, but is not so marked) . I had to leave the vanity mirror light on in the bathroom overnight, since the only way I could find to turn it off was to use the mains switch, which also meant no ceiling fan . the tap of the sink sticks out so much that it is IMPOSSIBLE to wash one's face in comfort . The temperature in the common areas was extremely cold, so much so that when I went to breakfast, within a few minutes I actually was physically ill and had to return to my room, where I was sick . The breakfast bar may be long, but the standard of the breakfast is truly poor: the orange juice was obviously from concentrate, watery and sweet, with little orange flavour (also, there was no grapefruit juice) . the labelling of the food was spotty (a girl next to me came back to her table saying "I got a glass of mystery juice" - it was the purple one with no label) . the cheese selection is terrible - no mozzarella cherries but brie? no goats' cheese, no parmesan (also no olives or cucumber) . the condiments tray (tabasco, mayo and ketchup) was shoved by the tiramisu (? also, at breakfast?) and porridge, instead of by the hot dishes . the hot dishes included eggs, bacon and sausages, but no potatoes or hash browns, nor grilled tomatoes - I can't remember if you had beans . the freshly made omelette was very nice but I did specifically ask for a small one, and I got one made with 3 eggs - I left half of it . I couldn't find any gluten free bakery items, and I tried a little cornetto semplice, it tasted very doughy, like it had been made with maritozzo dough . the wall directions for the toilets point towards the outside - they may be in use soon, but why not COVER UP the wrong sign with something meantime? - The swimming pool is very nice and the attendant very helpful - HOWEVER there were some issues there too: . although the restaurant was absolutely NOT busy, nobody from the restaurant went to the pool side to ask people if they would like a drink (among other things, this meant that customers got up, got a drink, and came back with a glass instead pf a PC cup, and then had to walk back to exchange it) . there are no little tables by the sunbeds . there are no sun chairs . dangerous thing #1: the sunshade bases do not fit well and are way too small/light for the large shades, and it was a slightly blustery day, and the umbrellas kept on falling over the sunbathers! you were lucky nobody got hurt . dangerous thing #2: the toilet area (very nice) is accessed via a diagonal ramp in white, over diagonal steps in white, the ramp is not marked and there is no handrail, this also is an accident waiting to happen, and, like the above, a big health and safety risk - The Sheraton used to have a button to call taxis from the car park, now the taxi park is gone, and your colleagues did call me a taxi, however I asked for Samarcanda, and instead they called a 6645 - if I choose a taxi firm, I want that one, or to be informed they are not available, and asked about sourcing a cab from elsewhere - The most unpleasant thing to me, and the one thing that mostly affected my stay in a very negative way, was the very heavy, musky/amber perfume in the common areas: coming into the hotel is like walking into a Magic Tree, I actually got a blinding headache after about one hour, and did not realise that it must have been an allergic reaction until I got into my 6645 taxi to go to the airport, and within 5 minutes it had cleared - this perfume is not only extremely strong, I could hardly believe it was also on the clothes of the dining room staff, until the hostess came to give me my bill for lunch, and I smelled it on her. As you can understand, the last item on my list is so serious to me, that it alone means I will probably be unable to return due to concerns about my health, as well as enjoyment of my stay. ----------------------------------------- As I wrote back today, after THAT reply I will not be going back.

The on-site parking is a huge bonus, making it easy to explore without worrying about your car. The room we stayed in, the Junior Pop Suite, was perfect for our family. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for our 4-year-old. The decor was one of the highlights of our stay—quirky, with retro vibes that added a fun, unique touch to the room. I absolutely loved the playful and artistic touches that made the space feel fresh and lively. That said, the overall experience was fantastic. The hotel’s staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was welcoming. With its combination of style, comfort, and great location, I’m already looking forward to staying here again next time I’m in Rome. Definitely my go-to choice!

Cons: One thing I did find a bit strange, though, was the placement of the bathtub in the room, directly under the TV. For a family, this setup seemed a little risky and somewhat impractical. While the bathroom itself was sleek and modern with wonderful toiletries and amenities, the bath's location within the room wasn't the most convenient. It felt a bit awkward, especially with a small child around, as it’s not an ideal setup for privacy or safety.

This Hotel, part of the Marriott family, was recently renovated and changed name from Sheraton Roma to Cardo Roma Autograph Collection, it’s really beautiful and refined. The interior decorations are simple but yet very elegant. The hotel staff has been very kind and professional. Our suite was very large, well decorated with a half bath, full bathroom, living room and bedroom which overlooked the beautiful pool and garden. The restaurant “Vertici” designed in an open quite large space with couches, tables and a beautiful bar area, overlooking the garden and pool. Food was constantly very good, especially the pasta made from scratch by the restaurant, their pizza was also very authentic. We were helped by different waiters including Lorenzo and Karim and a very kind and helpful manager Tyler. The only negative part was room service, very slow most probably due to limited staff available. This time we spent fifteen days there, we’ll definitely go back.

Cons: No complaints whatsoever. Location: While the hotel is approximately a 20-minute taxi ride from the city center, it offers a scheduled shuttle service for a modest fee of 8 Euros. The tranquil setting of the hotel more than compensates for its distance from downtown.

Cons: The location wasn’t great (nothing nearby) and it was hard work to get to and from the centre to the hotel. The metro station was a 15 min walk which would have been ok but it was along major roads with extremely small pavements with overgrown bushes. No safe places to cross. Felt very unsafe with family. We got cabs to and from the centre too but was expensive at about 35 euros each way. Plus Uber would never work for the return trip so stressful . Be prepared to spend a lot on cabs. Was 85 euros from airport! Also didn’t like there was no mention pre booking of a hefty charge to use indoor pool.

We could not have been happier with our two recent stays at Cardo Roma. The staff, our room, restaurant food, and inviting hotel facilities could not have been better. Our suite was elegant, spacious, spotless, and extremely well-appointed. The hotel was quiet, and we slept fantastically on our cozy, large king-sized bed. The shower was amazing, and we appreciated the local reading materials. We had dinner at the hotel several times and the homemade pasta was superb. I had the best carbonara that I have ever had and the breakfast buffet was amazing. We appreciated all of the healthy food choices and the pleasant and attentive staff. We are looking forward to our next visit to Rome and will certainly return to Cardo Roma!

Cons: They have a serious staff issue. The majority of the staff was Junior to the hospitality/employment market. We heard bad comments from some waitress as you expect from someone who is doing the job for few months until something new comes up. Several bottles falling from trays etc... The worst part was at the reception. I was registered to a room, given the card of a different room, and all of this without me asking. Nobody could find my name during breakfast. I almost miss my business meeting when checking out as the receptionist was quite junior and had to wait for someone to help her, I had to end up providing my details because they couldn´t charge me as I was wrongly checked in. A huge mess with rolling eyes and staring faces. The Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. You´ll need a car or Taxi to get to central Rome or any other place. That was a huge con in my opinion.

Cons: Het zwembadje binnen is de moeite niet waard. Het buitenbad was al gesloten. Ook vreemd dat je voor de Wellness nog eens 25,- per keer moet betalen. Mooie wellness, waar heel wat kleine dingen ontbraken zoals; shampoo in de douches, haakjes om je handdoek op te hangen, geen plankje voor je bril bij de sauna! Geen drinkwater. De architecten die dit ontworpen hebben zijn zelf waarschijnlijk nog nooit naar een sauna geweest.

Ho soggiornato al Cardo Roma, Autograph Collection, e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Le camere sono spaziose e curate nei minimi dettagli, con letti king size davvero comodissimi. Il personale è sempre disponibile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Un dettaglio che ho apprezzato molto è la profumazione degli ambienti, che rende l'atmosfera ancora più piacevole, insieme agli asciugamani da bagno, morbidi e assorbenti. Nonostante sia classificato come un hotel a 4 stelle, meriterebbe senz'altro una quinta stella. La colazione internazionale è di buona qualità e offre una varietà interessante di scelta. Consigliatissimo!

Cons: Onestamente, ho trovato difficile individuare qualcosa che non mi sia piaciuto durante il soggiorno. Se proprio dovessi trovare un punto negativo, sarebbe solo la posizione. Per chi soggiorna a Roma per turismo, l'hotel è leggermente distante dalle principali attrazioni turistiche e dai luoghi storici, il che potrebbe essere meno comodo per chi preferisce spostarsi a piedi. Tuttavia, il livello di comfort e il servizio offerti compensano ampiamente questo aspetto.

good breakfast - lovely hotel - good staff

Cons: not the hotel's fault but was surprised that breakfast not included - this is booking . com issue could not find it initially when on foot - the Apple Maps put it on the side of the road by the sports ground - it is very well hidden by the road bridges.

Het geheel oogt nieuw en heeft een beetje een resort vibe. De kamers zijn schoon en hebben een goed comfortabel bed wat in Rome niet vaak voorkomt. Service was goed en vriendelijk.

Cons: Alles was super maar als ik wat kan noemen dan zou ik zeggen dat de incheck tijd verkort zou kunnen worden.
